We need to relearn the balance between not wanting to share your f/o and accepting that there will be other people out there who also ship with your f/o. I've been around a long time and I'm seeing people slipping back into this mindset of hating "doubles" (tbh I don't even like the use of that word for people who share an f/o) and not only that, but getting upset at others who may support that ship as well. You may not want to hear this, but it is selfish to expect a friend to cut ties with one of their other friends only because that other friend of theirs has the same f/o as you. Self ship "doubles" are not out to take away your f/o or be more popular than you, they just want to enjoy themselves as much as you do.

Block and move on, put tags and urls on your filtered content, write out your angry thoughts in a word doc or to a close friend. But please try to be a bit kinder. This is a community based on love. Remember that.

Kay I'm really sick of this "masculinity is a prison" bullshit.

I'm a gay trans man, I've found my expression masculinity and defined it for myself. It makes me feel whole in a way femininity never did. I have aspects of femininity sprinkled into my masculinity but my masculinity is still masculinity. If it's not for you it's not for you, you don't have to be masculine if you don't want to be. But stop demonizing an entire form of gender expression and sexuality. You're not being progressive.

Patriarchy is a prison.

Everyone’s reminder that the American school system is intersexist as fuck.

They try to be inclusive to trans people by saying ‘only sex is binary, gender isn’t!!’ Which simply isn’t true. Neither are binary.

I’m so disappointed in how intersex people are completely erased from conversations about sex.

In my sex ed unit last year, intersex people were completely left out of the conversation. Intersex people deserve to be able to be safe with their bodies just as much as anybody else does. Same thing when learning about sex characteristics in 8th grade science. The teacher said “there is only two sexes, male and female, XY and XX” which literally isn’t true??? Someone asked her if different chromosome types were possible and she said no. Genuinely how are you a science teacher.

Stop excluding intersex people from conversations about sexual health.

My new years resolution is to completely stop watching commentary videos

Aka: art commentary (more like artists harassing other artists for having a fucking different and uncommon art style and/or having a harmless kink/fetish), videos that are very lolcow coded (as in people only making callouts on a certain person cuz they're visibly disabled and people keep harassing them), just commentary videos that just feel like bullying and misinformation in general (there's a lot)

Also... videos that talk about people doing serious illegal crimes (bad 4 mental health and certain people treat it as drama 4 some reason??)

I don't purposely watch them - I usually go in thinking the person is legit bad, but all they did was exist or commit illegal crimes - then I leave

This should be easy since I'm getting better at identifying the intentions of the creator (also some people just make it WAY too obvious) 👍

Sending love to anyone who has winter dysphoria. I feel like dysphoria is talked about in the context of summer, but here’s to anyone who has dysphoria that gets worse in the winter months.

My sister needs our help

My sisters service dog got hit by a car, and this info was purposefully kept from us for hours by our brother. (we had to force a friend of his to tell us, the others didn't say a word)

We went to an emergency vet but they screwed us over, Sent him to a different vet when he wasn't ready or got the care he needed. He got worse and it costed us $1,100

He is currently staying at an er and getting a chest tap, a dnr was signed. At the time of posting this the cost of treatment is $3,700.

This has not only been heartbreaking but is causing loads of financial stress on my sister, I want to help. The goal amount may fluctuate with charges added on, any amount given or shares helps.
