Vertin's Stuff

Her name is in the upper corner of the page.

Her Suitcase has her name on the front.

All the items I could decipher on Vertin's Bookshelf. She has vinyls, books, and her umbrella which I can remember of the top of my head. She also has books on basic arcane skills and how to speak to Critters.

Vertin's camera and brooch. We can also see a teleporter floppy disk. Interesting how the moon keeps popping up in the game's context. She also owns a copy of "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, which is underneath her photo.

Piano, books, computers, Schneider's dress, potions, red chair, black couch (near piano), painting easels, etc. All of this stuff was here in prologue (except dress) so its safe to assume they belong to Vertin. Screenshots included for comparison. An artist, a photographer, a musician, a strategist. She may suck at school but she excels in the arts I guess.

Unless her paintings suck because that would be hilarious. Although, it makes you wonder who that ballerina she keeps painting is. At least, I assume its a ballerina. She's painted her twice.

You felt your wings charr on the way down. The lovely white feathers turn to ash around you. Your skin grayed as you fell from Heaven. You stared up and disappointed faces stared down. Their faces disappeared and your pain and anticipation grew.

Your tutu blackened and your pointe shoes as well. Once the sky around you transformed into a dark crimson you knew you were closer than you had been in years.

When you hit the ground it was less painful then the actual falling. Striking the ground knocked you unconscious. There you waited.

Alastor was doing his broadcast, as usual casting the sounds of the Pride Rings previous overlords when he saw something of a shooting star crash near the hotel.

Usually things falling from the sky did not warrant his attention. However, the tug on his blackened heart strings told him to investigate. Taking a stroll to where he saw the thing hit, he saw the most beautiful creature laying at the bottom of the pit.

After many years of being apart, the two of you were finally reunited. Carefully he pulled your limp body from the crater, and began to walk back to the safe haven of the hotel.

Unconsciously, you snuggled your face into his chest, and he couldn't help but widen his grin at the gesture. He carried you into his studio and set you gently on the velvet couch just as he did in the living world so many years ago, and placed a jazz vinyl on the record player.

Silently he placed a soft kiss on your forehead, and waited for you to wake up.

Years and eternal lives apart, some things never did change.

"Wait, so you're telling me that you fell from heaven, for Smiles?" Angel looked flabbergasted at this revelation, but Husk, who had heard this story many times before, looked almost content.

After all, his "overseer" became a different person once you entered his afterlife. Less demanding, less angry, more human if it made any sense. Not only this but you were a great person to talk to, if he were to go to anyone to talk about HIS problems with, it would be you. Somehow you changed him, whatever it was inside Alastor that made him happy lied with you.

Vaggie was untrusting of you, partly because you had fallen, and partly because of your relationship with Alastor. She's warming up, and after hearing your story, maybe thinks she judged you too soon. You knew you would probably never fully gain her confidence, but you were content being acquaintances with your fellow fallen angel.

You did agree to work at the hotel for Charlie for as long as she wanted you there. Despite your love for Charlie and the hotel you wanted something more. So you decided to look around for places who wanted your performing arts.

You often found yourself working at different places in need of a more "classy act". Charlie even had you dance as a promotion for the hotel. Sinners came from far and wide to watch you dance on the hotel's small stage. Some even decided to stay at the hotel for rehabilitation.

You loved every minute of the attention. Especially the dozen of black roses left by yours truly.

You often sat in on Alastor's broadcasts allowing yourself to get lost in his voice even when he was talking about absolutely nothing at all. Sometimes you would fall asleep on the velvet couch in his recording studio, and he would happily watch you as he spoke to his listeners.

Life in Hell wasn't like Heaven at all, but you didn't mind the smell of death, the crimson red sky, or your newly darkened wings. Alastor was all you ever needed. That rang true for the afterlife as well.

One day when you decided you would be performing the Black Swan pas de deux, you couldn't help but ask Alastor to be your prince. On the small stage Lucifer had put in just for you, you taught him to dance.

Alastor was a fast learner and effortlessly lifted you from the stage floor as if you weighed nothing. He dipped you forward, so your head arched over your back and you winked at the audience.

In your shared dressing room for after the performance were two matching black bouquets of red and black roses.

Your dreams, the ones from when you were alive, and from when you were in Heaven all came true. With a touch of irony, you had everything you've ever wanted in Hell.

The Golden age

In the early days of house of Mickey entertainment, when the business was still run by a handfull of  people, the first chosen characters to be put as the face of the pizzeria were: Bambi, Pinocchio, The Good Fairy, Monstro, Dumbo, The Hippo ballerina, Chernabog, and Snow white. The newly built animatronics were barely a mechanical structure with vinyl external shells, with prerecorded voicelines, sounds and movements that singed from a stage. At the time it was enough to inspire tons of little fans to arrive and join the fun in the pizzeria. It was the 40's.

There was a supposed incident happened around the Snowhite animatronic, but no text or information about that survived to our days.

The Silver Age

Leaving behind the doll-like era of animatronics, the Silver Age desired to create much more durable robots, for the time and fans to come. Resistant to time and usage. The characters were built with lighter metals and hard plastics for the external shells, and the endoskeleton enhanced with steel. These are the heaviest animatronics that house of mickey ever created (after Chernabog ). To balance the huge production costs, some parts were left uncovered by the external shell, leaving out the bare endoskeleton.

The line was sadly famous for the tons of problems it gave to the technicians and whoever adult crossed their space. Although they did not possess advanced technology (like later generations), these animatronics seemed to possess primordial specks of personality , which often hampered the work of anyone who had to repair them. They seemed to favor spite only for adults, while not giving any signs of aggressiveness towards the childrens.

The Bronze Age

Their production was followed by a new creative team that wanted animatronics to reach a new level of realism. Newer endoskeleton technology, enhanced realistic movements and augmented mobility of the facial plate through silicone for upper part of the face capable of more complex emotions. (As always for economy, the parts that would have been covered by the clothing were not made of premium vinyl and weren't textured.) Freshly out, the bronze age line was greeted with enthusiasm by the visitors, with a positive decrease of children getting frightened by them. Barely a month after their debut tho, some parents begun to report complaints for the uncanny-ness brought by characters, one parent in particular said to have accidentally mismatched the Sykes animatronic for a friend till this one fully faced her, scaring the lights out her. These reports, weren't considered in the least by Mickey’s entertainment until the event that caused the animatronics decommissioning in block. One day, during the birthday of a little girl were requested as guest stars some Oliver and company animals characters. In the middle of the party, the girl began to show signs of respiratory distress and minor rashes that quickly alarmed the parents, due the little girl's only allergy were to cat hairs, and inside the establishment were sure to be none. The fact got silenced, and shortly afterwards the Bronze Age characters were put aside, bringing back to the stage the Silver age animatronics. Some independent newspapers tried to spread the incident, with vain results. There were rumors from an anonymous interview of a ex former visitor whom witnessed a fairly morbid event, happened during the re-enactment of the "Black Cauldron" before the models were decommissioned. "(...) that day i noticed that some of the Horned king’s teeth were missing, and i thought it was due to a pure aesthetic choice (...)  at the end of the performance when the stage floor cleared, i noticed something strange on the ground. I gave a further look because my eyes fell there and... my god. It were teeth. Actually human molars."

The Renaissance

This was undoubtedly the most advanced line of animatronics in terms of performance and technology for their times. Advanced mobility to the point of being able to almost perfectly emulate the movements of their cartoon counterparts, plus some rather special effect for few of the characters (Ariel and Ursula being water resistant, Quasimodo and Tarzan huge athlete like ability to climb, etc etc).

The enlargement of the company brought more wealth into the pockets of the production, allowing the decrease of the unpainted parts in the body of the animatronics. The only flaw of these models was that to increase the movements, the outer vinyl shell was sacrificed through the partial removal of material nearby the joints making the endoskeleton rather visible. ( To prevent children from squeezing their fingers between the joints, House of Mickey entertainment decided not to allow this lines of robots to attend parties as guest stars but only appear on stage or in meet and greet booths.) . The others most surprising news about this line, was the technological growth of the animatronics ' artificial brains. While the Bronze Age ones had a basic idea of being just copies of cartoon characters that acted in fake environments (sometimes even by forgetting to be robots), from the Renaissance onwards the animatronics were totally aware of their state of being "interpreters" under the command of a company. Some robots have shown signs of sharp increase of cynicism and sarcasm after this update.

During the 1990s, House of Mickey built a bigger space for the pizzeria, becoming the huge structure known to this day. There are six major themed zones, that become the home of our beloved heroes, henchmen and villains for them to get back to, for whenever they are not busy doing shows on stage or greeting fans around the pizzeria. Have you already tryed Tarzan's jungle of sliding tubes? Esmeralda's mirrors-maze? Bolted climbing with Mulan?

Post-Renaissance

With the arrival of 2000, the new animatronics began to comply with tighter safety laws. The new line of robots was made with safer external shells without openings to the internal endoskeleton parts (safe from the risk that small fingers may remain closed inside), removal of cigarettes, cigars and pipes from some characters (Mrs Packard, Hades, John Silver, Toon patrol etc etc), and the closing of some of the attractions in the themes areas considered dangerous as : Clay pigeon shooting with Clayton, Hide-and-seek in the elephant cemetery with Scar and Hyenas (contrary to popular belief, the attraction was closed because too many children stumbled on the scenery forcing the animatronics present to stop the game to calm down the childrens. ), Archery and javelin throw with Philoctetes, Self defence class with Maggie and Buck , and Jim's Solar flying jumping in the vertical wind tunnel (mourned by many fans and also Jim animatronic). History of first aid class with Dr. Sweet was just upgraded to a formative experience rather than a historical show and tell of the 1900's medical procedures after some parents lamented that watching a dummy's femur being saw in half could be horror inducing in a child. (Alas the kids loved it).

Non-textured parts are practically absent here. The technical department has however decided to save in accessories and partial clothing, deciding to make it part of the aniamtronic's outer shell.

Rumors said that someone in the animatronic programming department was so determined to make animatronics realistic that they filled their artificial brains with terabytes of all the possible notions that character could canon-ly know. Although Milo’s animatronic would gladly help you doing your history and languages homeworks, House of Mickey entertainment would rather wish you didn’t. To anyone that is continuely asking to the Vinny Santorini animatronic to be taught the process of making a bomb, you are warned. Next time you'll be reported to security.

Memo for the reader : Animatronics cannot harm in any way our lovely fans! Each character is equipped with advanced facial recognition, capable of distinguish between invited guests from external subjects. Your kids will rejoice to know to being kept in check by our heroes and villains watchfull eyes! Visitors should't ever be found crossing the private or prohibited areas. In case of incident, injury, death, or burning Mickey's entertainment will be not responsible of such accadiments.

Throughout the entire shoot, she rocked these adorable Vivienne Westwood x Melissa blue plastic slingback pumps with decorative pink heart and peep-toe.

There were also two House of Holland looks in the game!

From the Spring/Summer 2012 collection - pink and orange plaid three-button cropped blazer jacket with its matching kilt skirt, and purple and green V-neck sleeveless sheeth cocktail dress.

One of Marina's most-loved (and most sought-after) items during the "Electra Heart" era was this Topshop blue fluffy knitted ballet wrap top, which also made an appearance in the "Primadonna" video.

In a couple of outtakes, Marina is seen wearing this vintage 1960s mod blue polka-dot vinyl rain coat. I also saw it in red, brown, black and yellow. And even as a cape version!

*a couple days later Baz nor his mom aren't present. Theodore is sleeping on the bed as Ella Thomas and Edgar are talking.*

"when are Baz and his mom coming back?! They're supposed to be home by 3:30 at most"

"just be patient! They will be back soon!"

"it's 6:00 p.m. two and a half hours late"

"maybe they're just, going through town, it was where Baz lived before here."

"wait, I think they're here. I swear I heard a door open"

*all of a sudden the door opened revealing Baz holding 3 bags*

"Hey guys, I got some cool stuff!"

*Theodore starts to wake up*

"hm?"

"I got this cool key! Some uranium glass-"

"-excuse me, you got WHAT."

"uranium glass, it isn't enough uranium to be extremely dangerous, Also follow me!"

*the four Critters follow Baz to the kitchen where they see 4 pizza boxes on the stove. The critters are silent because of the shock.*

"I know you don't have to eat much but I might as well treat you guys! There's two pepperoni deep dish pizzas and two cheese dish pizzas for us."

"I'm going to go to the bathroom for a second, I need to splash some water on my face, I'm tired"

"do what you need to do"

*when Theodore comes out he is a tiny bit shorter than Baz. He takes a slice of cheese pizza and goes into the bedroom.*

"wait, what's that next to the pizza?"

"a record player"

"why did you get a record player?"

"those vinyl records I got from that concert I went to"

"ah"

*as Edgar and Baz were talking, Thomas and Ella have grown in size*

"hey Edgar, want some?"

*he's holding a slice of pepperoni pizza*

"no thanks I don't need to eat"

"Edgar, you haven't eaten in a month."

"the pizza is delicious, also you've refused all the food that Baz and his mom have offered you so far."

"we don't need to eat so what's the point?"

"I'm pretty sure every living thing that doesn't photosynthesize needs to eat at some point. If you don't eat soon you might start to get hunger pains."

*there's a bit of pause between Baz and Edgar*

"fine, just passed me a slice I don't care which type."

*Ella passes Edgar a slice of cheese pizza. He seems to enjoy it a lot.*

"glad to see you're enjoying it"

"it's actually really good"

*Theodore walks out of the bedroom and grabs another slice of cheese pizza, then walks back into the bedroom*

"hey Ella"

"hm?"

*Baz shows I love the uranium glass, it's in the shape of a cup. Baz uses a black light and shows I love that the glass glows when under black light*

"that's so cool"

"be careful with that, uranium is very dangerous"

"don't worry about it, there isn't a lot of uranium in this, it shouldn't be too dangerous"

"little or lots, it's still dangerous"

"what's that key?"

"it's just an old key I got from the same place I got the uranium glass from"

"where did you get them from?"

"an oddity shop"

"what's an oddity shop?"

"it's basically just a shop with a bunch of strange things in it. hollowed out puffer fish wearing sombreros, patches, uranium jewelry, human skulls, taxidermy frog ballerinas-"

"-what was that second to last one?!"

"human skulls?"

*Ella is silent*

"don't worry, they were fresh"

*Ella is slowly backing away*

"just kidding!

*he's giggling to himself*

(something sweet after the horror fest that was segment 5, it's mostly going to be a bit slice of Life like after this, I hope)
