surreal moments in life: My grandma is obsessed with bitcoin, and she thinks Elon Musk is the second coming. I knew what bitcoin was like 10 years ago thanks to youtube videos about ~the dark web~, ergo, I thought that shit was illegal. When I was 15 and heard 2 guys in business suits discussing their bitcoin in a Starbucks, I genuinely thought they might be mafia. I was side-eying them the whole time like they were talking about massive drug deals. Yet despite this, once again thinking it was illegal, once again being 15, and most importantly, having no idea how much it would blow up 10 years later: my grandma holds a legitimate grudge against me for not telling her about it all those years ago.
