On the 12th of November, twenty two years ago, Resident Evil Zero was released in North America for the GAMECUBE.

Resident Evil Zero serves as a prequel to the original Resident Evil, uncovering the origins of the T-virus outbreak. Set in 1998, players follow rookie S.T.A.R.S. officer Rebecca Chambers and escaped convict Billy Coen as they explore an eerie, abandoned train and an Umbrella Corporation training facility. They must solve puzzles, manage resources, and battle terrifying creatures created by Umbrella's bioweapons research. Unique to the game is its "partner zapping" system, allowing players to switch between Rebecca and Billy, each with unique abilities, to overcome obstacles and survive the horrors lurking in every corner.

An acrid, smoky scent seeps through your mask somehow, sharp and invasive, stinging your nose and throat. It lingers long enough to make you cough before a sudden jolt steals your breath away. Your legs leave the ground in an instant, and before you can react, Biohazard’s massive metal arms envelop you. They lift your small body with ease as if you were no heavier than air, the cold steel pressing against you with a force that borders on desperation. The embrace tightens, constricting your chest until each shallow breath feels like a struggle against an invisible weight. For a fleeting moment, you fear you might burst, crushed like glass under pressure. Then, just as abruptly, the grip softens. The unrelenting strength gives way to a trembling gentleness, though the urgency remains, as if he’s terrified you might slip away. He presses you against his chest, murmuring unintelligible words that sound like expressions of relief and, simultaneously, a mantra. You feel him press his face against the crown of your head, gently nuzzling the rubber of your suit with tenderness and care. His small, frustrated grunts betray his longing to bury himself in your hair and feel that no great wall separates you both for once.

Okay but what if RE5 was another Billy and Rebecca story? He's such a great character it sucks he hasn't appeared in another game.

After the events of RE0, Billy ended up somehow running into Wesker. Mr Albert "mwahaha evil virus in people go BRRRRR" Wesker decides to make an agreement with Billy which meant he wouldn't be found and killed by any law enforcement.

Basically he gets the Wesker Mode treatment instead of Rebecca or Jill.

Cohen agrees to become part of Umbrella/Tricell, getting the p-30 injector and ends up training to be a B.O.W and, in the same effect, Weskers bodyguard/right hand. Eleven years later, Billy is around 36-37 (since we don't know his actual birthday) and he is part of Tricell along with Wesker. The events of Re5 are pretty similar except Rebecca is there (she could either replace Chris or be there along with Chris considering she's a medic) and, of course, she's worried for the person who saved her life eleven years ago.

I just like the idea of Billy being there because we get such little Billy and Rebecca content that it's annoying and I love them they are my favourite characters :3.
