I wasn't expecting my isopods to be so comically territorial over mealworm chunks. They usually just ignore each other. (Sorry for the focus going in and out - I got a new camera and have no idea what I'm doing.)
I splurged and got her the new 5 foot by 2 foot by 2 foot cage (150 gallons). She actually looks small in it. She was in a 4 foot by 2 foot by 2 foot cage that I had built with my dad. But she needed an upgrade.
I give the plants 2 months before I’m replacing them again. She’s not nicknamed Godzilla for nothin.
Despite it also being bioactive like her last cage, this one’s soooo much lighter due to the material it’s made out of
Anyone good at spider ID? We have an infestation of these things in the hedgehog viv & going to reset the viv to try and get rid of them. Just curious what it is, and if my idea to prevent reoccurrence (move decor around more, brighter lighting) will work or not. Picture under cut to avoid jump scaring anyone!
The ‘rubber ducky’ isopod is a miniature pet with a duck bill face. I see it more as a Darth Vader helmet , haha. These cute little guys are really awesome!
If they ever breed them in jet black, they can call them Vader Duckies! 😅
