Isaiah 43:18-19 - God forgets our sins.
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV)
God calls Himself "I AM" (Ex 3:14). He is a God of NOW. God doesn't bear grudges or live in the past. God tells us to focus on today (Matt 6:34) And our wonderful Heavenly Father chooses what He remembers. The second we repent God "will remember our sins no more" (Jer 31:34). We may suffer, staying ashamed of things from our past, worrying that God could never love and accept us. The enemy will bring up our guilt over and over and remind us that we are not worthy, but God has already FORGIVEN and FORGOTTEN. Friend, if you're carrying hurt from past experiences, give it all to God. If the weight of past things is keeping you from moving into the freedom and victory that God has for you, give that weight to your Heavenly Father. There is no need to dwell on the past, because God has already forgiven you. It’s time to forgive yourself. Friend, the only thing behind you should be your footsteps in the sand. God is busy making new ways that you know nothing about yet. "I AM" has beautiful new things planned for you to enjoy. Amen! PRAYER: Lord, if the one reading this is troubled by things from the past, if the enemy is bringing guilt to them, I pray you release them from all guilt and show them just how much YOU love them. Manifest Your forgiveness to them in such a way that they have no doubt that You treasure them greatly. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

On the eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee.⠀ ⠀ The Gospels refer to the Sea of Galilee 53 times. Many more events take place around the lake. For example:⠀ ⠀ • On the banks of the Galilee at Kursi, Jesus exorcised demons and sent them into a herd of swine (Matt 8:28–32).⠀ • The disciples whom Jesus called into service were mostly fishermen who made their living from the Galilee (Matt 4:13–22).⠀ • Jesus preached from a boat on the Sea of Galilee (Matt 13:2).⠀ • Jesus taught by the shore (Mark 4:1–34).⠀ • Jesus calmed the sea (Mark 4:35).⠀ • Jesus recrossed the Galilee to Capernaum (Mark 5:21).⠀ • Jesus walked on the lake (Mark 6:45–53). . . . . . #truth #god #faith #godisgood #bibleverse #jesussaves #pray #love #prayer #christianity #blessed #church #scripture #quotes #scriptures #christian #christ #verseoftheday #gospel #jesus #jesuschrist #bibleversefortheday #scriptureverse #christianquotes (at Portland, Oregon) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFA2jXHlKOr/?igshid=13xw7oin8l5n5

Mark 11:24
“I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.” (NLT)
Prayer is really just a word for a conversation with God. I've had some funny conversations with God. He knows everything in my head and heart, but sometimes I tell Him everything anyway. Sometimes I just say, "Lord, You know all this, I won't bore you today." Friend, if you're not chatting to God yet, today's a good day to start. He doesn't mind what you say; like any proud Father, He's just happy that you made the effort to spend time with Him.
Prayer is simple. You ask for what you need and if it's in line with God's rules, He'll see that you get it. He'll choose the best time and the best way; for His glory. I think one of the sweetest things is to be in a group of Christians and see their faces as they talk of answered prayers. Most of these prayers weren't for big things. When God answers prayers for the little things, it's so much sweeter, because it shows He listens and He cares about the little things we need as much as the big things. There was a time I was on my way to a new church and I'd forgotten a pen. I prayed all the way there and a pen was on the ground right outside the church, so I'd have no doubt it was from my Heavenly Father. Yeah, I could’ve borrowed a pen, but I didn’t know anyone at the church and so I talked to God about it. I've never forgotten the kindness of a God who gave me a pen when I needed one and it is a story I share often, because it is so representative of the sweetness of an awesome, mighty, deity who loves me enough to care about all my worries, large and small.
So yeah, pray those prayers and see what God does with them. If you don't get what you prayed for, it's because the timing wasn't right, God has something better for you, or maybe your faith needs a bit more exercising. You receive what you’re believing for, so keep asking and believing. God always listens, never be afraid to ask. You really can talk to God about anything.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for all the prayers You've answered. If there's someone reading this who feels uncomfortable praying, ease them over that bump, so they'll get to experience the joy of many answered prayers - of gifts given by You through Your incomparable love. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Luke 5:31-32
"Jesus heard about it and spoke up, “Who needs a doctor: the healthy or the sick? I’m here inviting outsiders, not insiders—an invitation to a changed life, changed inside and out.” (MSG)
"Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need the doctor, but those who are ill. I have not come to invite the ‘righteous’ but the ‘sinners’—to change their ways. (PHILLIPS)
I find comfort in this verse, because all too often I feel like I'm a terrible sinner, one unworthy of being saved. Even though I know I'm loved because God said so, I struggle sometimes to feel worthy. Jesus knows we're all born sinners. He wouldn't have needed to come and save us if we weren't sinners and we wouldn't need Jesus now if we got saved and became "perfect". If I was now perfect I wouldn't need Jesus in every moment of my life, but I really do. I need His love, wisdom, His grace, ongoing forgiveness, reassurance and mercy - every moment. We all need Jesus because we're still imperfect, because we're human. Even after Jesus saves us we still wrestle with sinful impulses, because it's in our natures. We need Jesus to save us from ourselves every day. We need Him interceding for us to our Heavenly Father.
I also take comfort in that Paul said he was one of the worst sinners (1 Timothy 1:15 ) but he went on to write a huge part of the New Testament and become possibly the greatest follower of Jesus. So there's hope for me! Paul was saved by Jesus, forgiven for his terrible acts against people and given a mission to rescue people instead - "to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Me" (Jesus). Paul said he still had sinful impulses and did things he didn't want to, even after He was saved, but Jesus still trusted Paul with that vital mission. If you ever feel unworthy of God's grace, remember Paul. What Jesus did for Paul, He can do for you, save you (if you aren't already saved) and give you a mission. And remember David, who God lifted from being a shepherd to a king. God loved David even though He still sinned. God is so much bigger than our sins. It's not that we should continue to sin, it's just that God's magnificent love and mercy can handle anything we do, as long as we take the invitation Jesus came to give us - "to invite us to change our ways" and follow His ways instead. All we have to do is take His hand, confess our sins and want to repent. Christmas is a perfect time to accept the gift of Jesus. PRAYER: Lord, if anyone reading this is feeling unworthy, I pray You reassure them. If anyone is thinking of becoming a follower, I pray something or someone during this Christmas season helps them to make the decision to come to You, Jesus. In Your name, Amen.

Job 5:8-9
“But if I were you, I would appeal to God; I would lay my cause before Him. He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted." (NIV)
All around you thousands of tiny miracles are happening, all the time. They are God speaking to you and if you listen closely you can hear Him in them. And if you ask, He can perform miracles for you, both tiny and big, because nothing is impossible for the Creator of Everything. Have a lovely day! G xx 🙏🕊🦋🙂

1 Peter 1:6
"In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials," (NASB)
"With this hope you can be happy even if you need to have sorrow and all kinds of tests for awhile." (NLV)
1 Peter is a letter of encouragement written to "The Jewish Christians driven out of Jerusalem and scattered", who were having a tough time being persecuted. Being a Christian at that time was often miserable and sometimes life-threatening. I'll spare you the gory details, but other people had no problem killing early Christians in horrible ways. Peter tells his readers that they were chosen by God (as we all are); he prays for them to be blessed and granted "increasing freedom from all anxiety and fear" (verse 2). I pray that for you, Friend, if life is tough at the moment. Peter says that being born again is a privilege made possible by God's mercy, so we can become members of God’s own family. We can live in the hope of eternal life because Christ's sacrifice has made that possible. God has reserved for us the priceless gift of eternal life. It is kept safe up in heaven for each of us, beyond the reach of change and decay and kept in shiny purity. Friend, here's a thought from 1 Peter 1, our mighty Father, will make sure that you get to Heaven safely to receive the gift in person from Him. You've just got to keep your faith and trust and that gift will be all yours! (verses 3-5)
Peter was telling the early Christians that it was worth it, that they could rejoice in hope, even if was necessary for them to be distressed for a short time by various trials. I imagine a lot of our trials now couldn't compare to the horrors they went through, but Peter was telling them the prize would be so worth it, if they could just hang on through what the world and the enemy were throwing at them. "Waiting for us is an endless, glorious inheritance with our Father in heaven. And right this minute, we ourselves are being shielded from losing that inheritance by God's limitless power. Through faith in Christ, we have been saved, are being saved, and will be saved!" –Bibleref.com
"Rejoice" apparently doesn't necessarily mean "happy" as we might think it does. It's good to know, because there have been times when rejoicing was the last thing I felt like doing. Like us all, I've had my share of tests and trials and I learned the hard way that "rejoicing" is something you have to choose, through gritted teeth if you need to, like the times when I prayed for strength to just get through it. And that's okay, because I knew God never left me to suffer alone. Friend, if you are suffering, I pray God gives you, through the grace of Jesus' name, the strength you need to get through to the other side. Seasons may be long, but they never last forever. Remember that Jesus is suffering right alongside you. He knows about suffering, He understands and He'll help you get through. You won't go through anything alone. Remind yourself that in Christ, you have a living hope of a "glorious inheritance". –Bibleref.com
Life can be tough, but the prize is so worth it. "So be truly glad! (Remember) there is wonderful joy ahead, even though the going is rough for a while down here! 1 Peter 1:6 (TLB)

From Psalm 59: 9-10 and 16-17
“O God my Strength! I will watch for You, for You keep me strong. You are my security! I will wait for You, for God is my defense; my God of mercy; a safe place for me; a good place to hide. My strength is found when I wait upon You. Watch over me, God, for You are my mountain fortress; You set me on high! I can always count on You. God in dependable love shows up on time. My God is one step ahead of me with His mercy. My God shall come to meet me! My God will empower me to rise in triumph over my foes. I will sing of Your power; of Your mercy in the morning; for You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble. To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises.”
This is a time when we really need God and His strength to get through each day and to help us with our fears: fears of the present as we deal with worries about sickness and food supplies; and fears for the future and what life might be like after the Coronavirus. This is a time when we need to stand solidly on the promises of a mighty God and trust in His faithfulness. I declare from Psalm 59: God is my place of safety, I am sure of it! He keeps me strong. I will wait for Him, because I know He is always in control. My God of mercy and love will come to meet me and give me triumph over the foe of Coronavirus. I will get through this, by the grace of God and power of the Holy Spirit. “Strong God...I can always count on You—God, my dependable love.” Friend, my hope and my prayer for you is that you will claim and declare these promises for yourself in this time of trial. Our God is in control; He is faithful and strong. Amen!

We are more than conquerors through Jesus!
"But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Cor 15:57 (AMPC)
"But now in a single victorious stroke of Life, all three—sin, guilt, death—are gone, the gift of our Master, Jesus Christ. Thank God!" 1 Cor 15:57 (MSG)
"In all things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." Romans 8:37 (NIV)
When my hope and strength is gone, You're the one who calls me on. You are the life, You are the fight that's in my soul. Oh, Your resurrection power burns like fire in my heart. When waters rise, I lift my eyes up to Your throne. We are more than conquerors, through Christ. You have overcome this world, this life. We will not bow to sin or to shame. We are defiant in Your name. You are the fire that cannot be tamed! You are the power in our veins, our Lord, our God, our Conqueror. I will sing into the night: Christ is risen and on high. Greater is He living in me, than in the world. No surrender, no retreat - we are free and we're redeemed. We will declare over despair - You are the hope! Nothing is impossible; every chain is breakable. With You, we are victorious. Jesus, you are stronger than our hearts; You are greater than the dark. With You, we are victorious.”―From "More than Conquerors" by Chris Llewellyn / Gareth Gilkerson.
PRAYER: Lord, praise Your name and thank You for giving us victory in You! Give us the power to be more than conquerors in every situation we find ourselves in: conquering fear, rejection, grief and any other negative emotions. Empower us to overcome any attack by the enemy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
