The Avatar of Mestionora
~ Rozemyne Playlist || The commoner daughter of a soldier, turned goddess
A little playlist I made from the start of the series; to the very end
(This was a fun project I’ve been making since halfway through Part 5. I’m so excited to finally see it finished. This was a wild, long ride, and I can’t express how much fun I had. This series has made me go through such an emotional roller coaster, so I decided to share this playlist. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as i enjoyed making it.
I’m thinking about making a separate post explaining the background of my selection. Why i chose what songs, why in that order, and how I separated the parts. But given the size of the playlist, it may take a while. That said, if you’re interested and wanna know about anything, feel free to ask! I will answer with delight).

“For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.” —Luke 19:10 (NLT)
“No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.” —Romans 8:37 (NLT)
“But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.” —1 Corinthians 15:57 (NLT)
Friend, when you think you're losing the battle, you're not, because you already have victory through Jesus Christ. When Jesus came down to Earth and died on that Cross, sin and death were defeated; the battle was already won. Anything else is just the devil trying to convince you that he has any power. He doesn't. You have the power, through Jesus Christ, who came to save you.
When the battle gets too tough, remember that you are not battling alone and unarmed. God is with you (Deut 31:6). The Holy Spirit lives in you (1 Cor 3:16). Jesus is with you always (Matt 28:20). And Angels watch over you (Ps 91: 11-12). That's a whole lot of reinforcement, right there.
As if all that wasn't enough, God gave you all the armor and weapons you need (Eph 6:10-18) and this promise spoken by Jesus:
“And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”—Matthew 16:18‭-‬19 (ESV)
So you can't lose that battle. The devil might want you to think that you have lost, but through Jesus Christ every battle you face, including whatever battle you are fighting right now, were already won long before they ever began.
Brave soldier in Christ, keep fighting and ignore those lies of the enemy, because you will always have victory through Jesus Christ who loves you. Amen and Hallelujah! 🙌🙌🙌

Amen.

A link to my personal reading of the Scriptures
for the 22nd of december 2024 with a paired chapter from each Testament (the First & the New Covenant) of the Bible
[The Book of Acts, Chapter 2 • The Book of 1st Kings, Chapter 4]
along with Today’s reading from the ancient books of Proverbs and Psalms with Proverbs 22 and Psalm 22 coinciding with the day of the month, accompanied by Psalm 2 for the 2nd day of Astronomical Winter, and Psalm 57 for day 357 of the year (with the consummate book of 150 Psalms in its 3rd revolution this year)
A post by John Parsons:
"A time will come when instead of shepherds feeding the sheep, the church will have clowns entertaining the goats" (Spurgeon). The following article, I hope, moves in the way of the Shepherd who offers the bread of truth for his sheep...
====
The Apostle Paul summarized the message of the gospel by means of four empirical propositions, namely: 1) that Messiah died for our sins according to the Scriptures; 2) that he was buried; 3) that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures; and 4) that he was seen alive by various eyewitnesses after his death (see 1 Cor. 15:1-8). Paul went on to argue that the reality of the resurrection is the center of salvation, for if Yeshua had not been raised from the dead, his repeated declarations that he would suffer, die, and come back to life would be untrue, and therefore we would still be captive to our sins. The great fact that Yeshua was indeed raised from the dead, however, demonstrates that his mission to redeem humanity was successful, and that death has been "swallowed up" by means of his victory over the curse of sin (1 Cor. 15:36). This is the core message that Paul regarded as being of "first importance" and essential to salvation.
Now if we take a moment to reflect on Paul's summary, we soon realize that he had made certain assumptions that were presupposed in his description of the essential gospel message. First, of course, is that his summary declaration appeals to the reliability and trustworthiness of the Jewish Scriptures (as clearly indicated by the repeated phrase "according to the Scriptures" (κατὰ τὰς γραφάς). If someone were to question why they should believe what the Jewish Scriptures say, Paul would have had to provide "evidential reasons" for their authenticity, veracity, and credibility, since he couldn’t just appeal to the Scriptures to establish their truth without begging the question. This in turn would have implied appealing to the historical experience and traditions of the Jewish people, including their origin as the descendants of the patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, their 400 year enslavement in Egypt, their deliverance from bondage during the Exodus, the awesome revelation of the Torah given at Mount Sinai, and so on.
As one trained in the learning of the Pharisees (Acts 22:3), it is likely Paul would have retold the “grand narrative” of the Jewish Scriptures, beginning with the creation of Adam and Eve, their transgression and exile from the original paradise, and the subsequent degeneracy of the human race. Paul would have explained the deliverance of Noah from the worldwide judgment of the flood and the subsequent genealogy of Noah's sons culminating in the advent of Abraham, the first patriarch of the Jewish people. The history of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob would be retold particularly in relation to the oath of blessing and the divine promise regarding the coming "Seed" (i.e., descendant) who would be the Heir and Savior of the world. Paul would then have reviewed the history of the Israelites and their deliverance from slavery in Egypt under Moses, the giving of the law code and the covenant at Sinai, the vision and establishment of the Tabernacle (and later the Temple in Jerusalem), and so on.
Throughout his historical review Paul doubtlessly would have focused on how Yeshua fulfilled the prophetic promises of God regarding the coming of the Messiah, quoting from the Torah, the Writings, and the various prophets of Israel. Moreover Paul would have appealed to the great oral tradition of the tzaddikim, the faithful ones of Israel, who were eagerly awaiting the coming of the Messiah.
If someone persisted to question the truth of the testimony of Scripture, it is likely Paul would have appealed to the meticulous scribal traditions of Israel, how the texts were scrupulously preserved for millennia using the most rigorous of standards of scribal transmission (soferut), and so on. Regarding the identity of Israel's promised Messiah, Paul would have appealed to the various prophetic witnesses recorded in Scripture, words from Abraham, Jacob, Moses, King David, Isaiah, Jeremiah (among others), as well as eyewitness reports regarding the miracles of Yeshua, including his own personal encounter with the risen Lord on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:3-19; Acts 26:12-18; Gal. 1:11-16; Phil. 3:3-7; Acts 17:17). Paul also would have appealed to extra-biblical sources of confirmation of the testimony, such as historical accounts of the life of Yeshua by his contemporaries, including accounts provided by the Jewish Sanhedrin and Roman officials regarding his crucifixion. In addition, Paul would have provided logical reasons for faith, including the argument from creation (Acts 17:24-28; Rom. 1:20), arguments from moral experience and conscience (Rom. 2:14-15; 2 Cor. 5:11), and arguments from intuitive awareness of God's existence as the first cause of existence (Rom. 1:18-20; Acts 17:28). It was Paul's custom to reason with his fellow Jews from the Scriptures regarding the truth of the gospel message (Acts 17:2, Acts 18:4), but to Gentiles who did not know the Torah he used logic, appeals to empirical fact, common religious sentiment, and sometimes philosophical reasoning (including quotations from pagan philosophers and poets) to make his case for the veracity of special revelation (Col 2.8; 1 Cor. 9:22; Eph. 4:17-24).
Concerning the more philosophical approach, Paul would have argued on behalf of basic monotheistic personalism, that is, the idea that there is one (and only one) God who is a omniscient (all-knowing), omnipotent (all-powerful), omnibenevolent (all-good), and who is the Source of all moral truth (Deut. 6:4-6; Psalm 139:17; Psalm 78:41, etc.). As the Supreme Being, God is One (not two or more) and the universe is a "creature" brought into existence yesh me'ayin, "out of nothing," that is, by an act of God’s sovereign will. God is transcendent over creation yet immanent within its sustenance (Heb. 1:3; Col. 1:16-17, John 1:3; Rom. 11:36). This implies that reality is "two-tiered," composed of both material and spiritual dimensions, though humanity is thought to bridge both realms by being a physical creation endowed with a spiritual soul. God is reveal in "anthropomorphic" terms because human beings are made in the divine image and likeness (Gen. 1:26), and the spiritual is discerned through analogy with the physical (2 Cor. 2:11-13).
The spiritual realm is revealed by God in two primary ways: 1) by general revelation (i.e., intuitive awareness of first principles of reason and logic that God exists and is the source of reality, see Rom. 1:19-20; Acts 14:17; Psalm 19:1, etc.) and 2) by special revelation (i.e., God interacting with select individuals in history who were entrusted to preserve and proclaim his message to others, see Deut. 4:7-8; Psalm 103:7; 147:19-20; John 4:22; Rom. 3:1-2; 9:4, etc.). Those narratives and words of special revelation esteemed as Scripture provide a semantic matrix for understanding the human condition of alienation, suffering, and the problem of death, apart from which the gospel message cannot be understood or proclaimed. For instance, the revelation at Sinai to the Jewish people distills and enshrines both the moral imperatives of human conscience as well as the need for blood atonement and deliverance from the guilt of sin (Lev. 17:11). The "korban principle" of "life-for-life" vicarious substitution was prefigured in the primordial garden (Gen. 3:21), symbolized in the sacrifice of Isaac (Gen. 22; Heb. 11:19), foretold in the Passover sacrifice of the lamb of God (Exod. 12:21-27), enshrined in the sacrificial system of the Mishkan by the "korban tamid," or daily offering, of the lamb (Num. 28:1-8); dramatized in the elaborate Yom Kippur ritual that culminated with the sacrificial blood being put over the broken tablets of the law in the holiest place (Lev. 16; Heb. 9), and so on. All of these special revelations signified the coming Redeemer of Israel, the great Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29).
The advent of "God in the flesh," that is, incarnation of Yeshua, however, is the climax of all special revelation, the ultimate "Word of God" (John 1:1-14). Yeshua, who is fully God and the Creator of the universe (John 1:1-3; Col. 1:15-17; Heb. 1:3; Isa. 44:6; Rev. 22:13, etc.), emptied himself of all regal glory by clothing himself in human flesh to become the "Second Adam" and the atoning sacrifice for the fallen human race (Phil. 2:7; 2 Cor. 8:9; Rom. 8:3). Yeshua was "born to die" as humanity's exchange (1 Cor. 15:45; 2 Cor. 5:21). The "deeper truth" of grace is thereby revealed: because of Yeshua's intercession, the verdict of the law is overcome by God's mercy and yet God is both fully just (in upholding the verdict of the law) yet the justifier of the ungodly who trusts in the divine work of deliverance given in Messiah (Rom. 3:26; Psalm 85:10; John 1:17). The resurrection further reveals not only that Yeshua died for our sins but that his sacrifice was fully accepted for our atonement. Faith in his sacrifice for your sins means you trust that his blood was shed for you, that his resurrection means that he is alive, your Living God, Redeemer, and Savior.

FOR THE GLORY
Everyone goes through trials and temptations such as sicknesses, pain, lack, or other difficulties in life, at times, so that we can turn to the LORD and He may be glorified as we triumphantly overcome in Christ Jesus who lives in Believers (Ps. 108:13, Ecc. 3:1-8, 1 Cor. 15:57). So, let's remain courageous through every testing circumstance, holding onto our faith in the Word of God who never fails; for we've overcome all the efforts of the devil and his agents by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony - being unafraid of death, yet hopeful in the LORD who is mercifully present to help and gives life in abundance to all who choose to stay faithful to Him (Jos. 21:45, Is. 41:13, 55:11, Rev. 12:11).
Therefore, we should be patient in tribulation, never stop praying, always rejoice in the hope of a better tomorrow and eternity with the Father, and we shall never be subdued; rather, we will always stand upright, crowned as victorious in Christ Jesus who lives in every Believer, to the glory of God (Rom. 8:28-30, 9:22-23 & 12:12, James 1:12).
PRAYER: In Jesus' Name, thank You, LORD, Heavenly Father, for Your Word has come right on time and made me whole, redeemed from every sickness and pain, even as You fight my battles, making me an Overcomer in Your Mighty Name. Please, keep me motivated to always glorify Your Holy Name as a living testimony of Your love and awesome works on Earth,
Amen.

Jesus Is Alive
Today's Saying
Without the death and resurrection of Christ, Christianity would have been like any other religion.
Today's Scripture
"O Death, where is your string?
O Hades where is your victory?"
Thanks be to God, who gives the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor 15:55, 57
Today's Sermonette
Easter goes beyond easter eggs, gifts, and parties; it is celebration of the ESSENCE of our faith, it's about the practical demonstration of LOVE.
Without the death and resurrection of Christ, Christianity would have been like any other religion....thank God it's NOT.
Paul says earlier in 1 Corinthians 15 "If Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty... And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!
... If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.
But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep." 1 Cor 15:14, 17,19-20.
We don't serve dumb idols or deaf Gods, in Christ we have a real living Saviour who has conquered death and gives us that same hope, death is not the end but simply the beginning.
Beloved today may you be encouraged, your faith is not in vain, it is not hopeless, the Holy Spirit of God is working in you, a deposit of the hope you have that one day you will be reunited with Christ.
What an amazing thought! Today, who do you know who needs to hear this truth? Be bold! On this Resurrection week make sure everyone knows of the hope you have!
May God's face shine on you in this season of Easter and beyond. It is indeed a great privilege to be part of a faith who's founder is alive and well 2000 years after He gave His life for mankind.
May you experience the resurrection power of Jesus Christ in your family, relationship, finances, health and life.
Have a wonderful Easter full of God's love!
Today's Supplication
Father, let your face shine on me this season of Easter and beyond, it's indeed a great privilege to be part of Christianity whose founder is alive and well after 2000 years after he gave his life to mankind. Amen!

VICTORS IN CHRIST
Let’s be honest . . . We all have felt that guilty pleasure when someone who has done us wrong suffers in some way. We might deny it, but we’ve felt it. The Germans have created a compound word for that feeling (as Germans like to do!) and call it “schadenfreude,” pleasure derived by someone from another person's misfortune.
The psalmists reference this feeling often. I imagine it probably was comfort in the midst of suffering, kind of a “One day he will get his.”
In particular, the psalmist in Psalms 68 declares victory and alludes to persecution with many references to warfare, victory, and enemies. There is definitely a hint of schadenfreude underlying this! See verse 12, which references victorious “armies” and “plunder.” Then the sentiment becomes a little stronger (and a little darker) than schadenfreude in verses 21 and 23, which reference a crushing of foes.
The psalmist is declaring his own personal victory first, and then in verse 18 he jumps centuries ahead prophetically as he sees a larger picture. He moves from his own narrow, personal perspective to a broader view, a world view.
In Psalms 68:18 he says directly to the Lord saying, “When You ascended on high, You took many captives; You received gifts from people, even from the rebellious— that You, LORD God, might dwell there.” He is speaking to Christ in second person about His coming victory, redemption, and established presence.
Uniquely, he begins to see into the future as if it were the past.
Notice this verse is past tense. In the human timeline, Christ has not yet died at the time this was penned; He had not yet descended into hell to proclaim victory over death; He had not yet risen when the psalmist wrote this.
Ephesians 1:4 says that the Lord “chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world.” His good plans for us have been a long time in the making . . . . Because the redemption was decided with God before the foundation of the world, the psalmist saw through the Lord’s eyes that it was as definite and determined as if it had already happened. It HAD already happened in the Lord’s timeline.
Centuries after Psalms was written, in Ephesians 4:8 Paul quotes the fulfillment of this same verse in Psalms with two changes, “When He ascended on high, He took many captives and gave gifts to His people.” The verse referenced in Psalms is past tense, as is Eph. 4:8, but there is a shift from second person “You” to third “He.” The audience has changed. The psalmist speaks to the Lord; however, Paul is speaking to the people of God about Christ and what He has done for His people.
Additionally, the psalmist celebrates the gifts the subjugated give to Christ the Victor: “You received gifts from people.” However, Paul in Ephesians celebrates the gifts given to the people of God: “He . . . Gave gifts to His people.” Wait a minute. I’m confused. So who got the gifts?! Christ or His people?
The gifts given to the Lord (Old Testament) have been given to His people (New Testament). At first glance, we could think of it as a re-gifting!
But I suspect it’s more than that. Colossians 3:3 says we are “hidden in Christ” and I Cor. 15:57 says we are victors through Him: “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” The terms “In Him” and “In Christ” are used 180 times - 143 times by Paul in the Epistles - to indicate the Source of our identity and position.
That position indicates if we are “In Christ,” that when Christ rose from hell victorious and gifts were given/released, we were WITH Christ as victors and recipients of gifts.
What does this mean for us in our daily lives?
We don’t fight for victory . . . We fight from victory. We already are victorious. Those things with which we are struggling will vanish like smoke before the wind (Psalm 68:2) if we will accept that we are victors “in Christ.” The power and authority have been placed in our hands - there is no need to pray for it.
How ridiculous would it be if our child kept begging us for a gift we had already put into their hands? There would be nothing more we could do but say, “Open your gift, child.”
The Lord says to us, “Open your gift, child.” The work has been done. Our future is in our hands, hearts, and mouths. So we should declare the purposes of the Lord for our lives in confidence, as the psalmist did.
In Jeremiah 29:11, the Lord reassures us that this gift is a good one: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
Like the psalmist, Paul, and Jeremiah, we should see our good outcome. We should see our future as definite as if it were the past . . . .

A link to my personal reading of the Scriptures
for the 11th of September 2024 with a paired chapter from each Testament (the First & the New Covenant) of the Bible
[The Book of Revelation, Chapter 11 • The Book of Joshua, Chapter 6]
along with Today’s reading from the ancient books of Proverbs and Psalms with Proverbs 11 and Psalm 11 coinciding with the day of the month, accompanied by Psalm 84 for the 84th day of Astronomical Summer, and Psalm 105 for day 255 of the year (with the consummate book of 150 Psalms in its 2nd revolution this year)
A post by John Parsons:
"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it." - John 1:5
====
This week’s Torah portion (Ki Teitzei) begins: “When you go out to war *over* your enemies” (i.e., כִּי־תֵצֵא לַמִּלְחָמָה עַל־איְבֶיךָ), which would seem to make more grammatical sense were it to say, “When you go out to war *against* your enemies...” The sages comment that the Torah is here saying that when we go out to war, we start out “over” our enemies, that is, in a state of victory by God’s grace (Exod. 14:14).
This has practical ramifications for our walk with God today. Spiritual warfare centers on trusting God to fulfill his promises, and therefore we can understand our enemies to be enemies of the soul, namely, our own lower nature (yetzer ha’ra), the devices of Satan, and the godless philosophy of this present world of darkness (Eph. 2:2-3; 1 John 2:15-17; Eph. 6:10-11). Nevertheless we are assured victory over these by faith, understanding that “no good thing does the LORD withhold to those who are trusting in Him” (Psalm 84:11).
In the midst of the battle, then, offer up praise (Psalm 18:3). God works all things together for your good (Rom. 8:28). “You are the God of my salvation (אֱלהֵי יִשְׁעִי), and in You do I hope all the day (Psalm 25:5). Barukh attah Adonai, shomei’a tefillah: (בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יהוה שׁוֹמֵעַ תְּפִלָּה) – “Blessed are You, O LORD, who listens to prayer.” Because of the victory of Yeshua at the cross, we do not work toward a place of victory against our enemies, but rather from the ascended place of His victory (1 Cor. 15:57).
Blessed is our LORD Yeshua, the Killer of death; the Slayer of the Serpent; the final Victory of God's awesome love for us! We are made more than conquerors (ὑπερνικῶμεν, lit. "hyper-conquerors," "overcomers") through Him that loved us (Rom. 8:38). Therefore “thanks be to God, who in our Messiah leads us in a perpetual victory parade” (2 Cor. 2:14).
