The new BG3 patch just arrived and so did I

The companions objections rattled in her mind. This way not the way. This was giving into the fear. This would make him no better than his master…well former master. Ravyn looked down and the once powerful vampire lord. Now he crawled. Now he bled. Now there was fear in his eyes. Gripping his unbeating heart. Death was too good for him.

She looked back at Astarion. After all why shouldn’t he ascend?? After everything he’d lived through why should he just walk way.

She thought of her own life. Her own level of hell. Did they expect her to just walk away? Her fingered grazed her neck. Though the collar had been removed a long time ago, she could still feel it. After everything those bastards did to her, she was not about to walk away. They had to pay for what they had done.

Just like this pathetic man, for that was all he was now, this man would pay for his sins.

With a twisted smile she nodded to Astarion.

“I'm doing this for you, too, you know. To make sure we're both safe. Forever, for good.”

That's because he judges me so much!!

If playing bg3 has taught me anything, it's that a lot of people don't know the difference between Magiatrates and Lawyers.

Astarion says he used to be a magistrate in the city. Not a lawyer. He wasn't the one speaking to a judge on behalf of someone, HE WAS THE JUDGE.

The definition of magistrate is a civil officer or lay judge who administers the law, especially one who conducts a court that deals with minor offenses and holds preliminary hearings for more serious ones.(literally copy and pasted that definition from the dictionary)

He's not a "Your honor, respectfully, you weren't even there"

He's a "ew, this is so cringe, guilty"
