Khajiit caravan clothing, made by @sarsaparillaart and myself for Beyond Skyrim: Elsweyr and showcased as part of the project's annual advent calendar event!
We have disctinct styles for Anequina, Pellitine and a third style present across the province for ancient and religious things - the patterns on these clothes is near that third one, and a little bit to the Anequina side to refer to the nomadic nature of their bearers. The final clothes are also planned to borrow other less unique patterns that would be taken from other provinces.
The clothes were designed to look distinct from their settled cousins, with as much pouches and bags as possible! If they seem pretty empty on the back, it's on purpose, because they'll be wearing backpacks on top of them.
Also, lore friendly cat shades. Hell yeah

Clothing set I recently finished for BS Elsweyr. Meant to have a casual version for monks to chill in and a training set equipped with bells for extra challenge.
Originally based on some sketches done by @sothasil but at this point the design has been ship of Theseus'd into oblivion.

What happens to past faces of Aedra and Daedra when they are replaced?
Ignore for a second that time does not work the same way outside Mundus
Instead imagine that an entirely new divine takes their place, cannibalizing their power from the old incarnation, letting it starve and wither.
Think of the Nordic rune god Jhunal, divine of Hermetic orders and wisdom. Discarded by the Nords for the relation to Herma Mora, the second known and more violent incarnation of the knowledge demon.
Does his spirit still battle this incarnation of the daedric lord?? Does he still answer prayers from sundered shrines? Is he angry? Mournful of his identity lost? Mournful for his time with the title and authority when the world was young?
Or are reimagined gods frozen in time? Unaware of the change, discarded like a dead skin, did it hurt? did they know it was happening? What could it have felt like as he watched from his domain, the mortals, who had slowly turned against him, spoke a new god into existence under Alysia's' name?
Or maybe they die.
Maybe Jhunal is dead, the woodland man won, the owl god now a corpse locked away in the eldrich halls of Apocrapha under an infinite ocean, does his bones yearn for the open sky a suffocating depth away? Does he yearn for rest? Is there peace in the frozen wasteland of Atmora for a dead god? Can the stillness of a dead home-land be peaceful? Does the woodland man wait for him there now? Can two discarded corpses find meaning in eachother, or do they rest for eternity in the wasteland?
Yet what marvels are lost with his passing. What was it like to influence the first Nordic clever men? Help hone their sorcery into enchanted stahlrim and massive city building ability. What was the first encounter with the woodland man like? Did they shape eachother? How did the Rune god earn his name, was it through existing Atmoran rune systems carved by his own hand? or was it taken from the snow elves and adopted in conquest?
Needless to say..
TREAT. All. INCARNATIONS. OF. AEDRA. AND. DEADRA. LIKE. DYNANIC. CHARACTERS. ITS. SO. MUCH. FUN !!!!

Well, if you're taking questions on Beyond Skyrim...
What is the most basic, least spoilery description of the plot and situation of Eleswyr?
I'll answer for our pre-release and not the main game, as we are not working on Pellitine!
Our pre-release focuses on two cities: Rimmen and Riverhold, each with their own quests, and the neighboring regions.
Rimmen, like the name hints at, is populated by humans, descendants of a sect that followed Reman, who were granted asylum cross the Cyrodiil border and established a city-state there. Their culture grew distinct from the imperials' and holds the akaviri to special importance. They got very rich by controlling natural ressources who's nature they keep hidden, and eventually started terrorizing the local khajiit by their slave trade. The current state of Rimmen is of a grand city build through cruel means, who is struggling to find allies in other people because of their practices, who simultaneously fears and wounds the neighboring khajiit clans who want to end them.
Riverhold is comparatively peaceful. At the border with Cyrodiil and on a slow riverbank, it's in the middle of a fertile region dominated by wheat fields. The town shows a blend of khajiit and imperial culture. The town is in the middle of a few factions - the empire, the dominion, Rimmen and the rest of Anequina all want a piece of that cake but the town lies in statis, slowly decaying and with a lack of a proper identity. Nobody wants to abandon the town (yet) but nobody's there to stand up for it either.
As for the big Main Quest™ for the final full mod, we plan to center it on the void nights, their consequences on Elsweyr, and include a bunch of khajiit lore classics like the moon gates and dro-m'athra 😺 🌙

THE BOYS JUST CONFESSED THEIR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER IN CLOUD RULER TEMPBLEE
I can’t think of a more poignant place for them to do it, in the ruins of a place destroyed by Caryalind’s people in an effort to wipe out those who follow the traditions of Kaidan’s ancestors. And we’d literally just sent the Blades ghosts to the afterlife they have the best timing
(of course Lucien was rambling about history in the background lol)

Some urns for Roscrea! You know, those things in draugr infested holes you get 15g and a potion of minor stamina from...
The designs are based on the various cults of the island, who's animal gods the more lore-savvy among you might recognize, as their ancestors feature on the murals of Skyrim's barrows... Shapes and materials were chosen to match each god's sphere, as well as to make a cool looking, varied collection when all the urns are put together.
This is my second claim for Roscrea's "Get It Done" week, an event where devs from all around join as guests to help a team put out as much work as possible for a short time period. Was really cool to work on a team who's lore is foreign to me, and I was blessed with a lot of trust from their directors!
I've decided to include my many sketches for each in this post. Concept art is build upon layers of iteration, which often gets forgotten on behalf of the shiny final product. Also, it's cool to see the evolution of a design, from the first shots in the dark to getting closer and closer to its final form...

Spectral Assassin mod patch for Beyond Bruma where Lucien LaChance points out details of contracts from his living days
‘Ah, Listener, that building was where I disposed of a merchant with a poisoned apple. They just stole it and ate it. Men were simpletons then and remain simpletons now.’
‘There was a necrophiliac mer here once. I forget what happened to her…’
‘Being strung up like a side of venison and cut to pieces doesn’t do much for the property value of Cyrodiil houses nearby. No wonder everything went to Oblivion so quickly.’
