There are only two actors who have appeared in all four of the Beverly Hills Cop movies, including the new Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F. One, of course, is Eddie Murphy. After all, what would the franchise be without him? The other is Judge Reinhold, who plays Billy Rosewood, the detective with whom Axel Foley was originally paired in the first film and who has, over time, become a trusted friend. That would make Reinhold the "buddy" in the "buddy cop" genre that has defined the franchise, and Reinhold said that's been a big part of what has made the movies -- and especially the 1984 original -- so special.

New Crazy Frog Music Video: Official Beverly Hills Cop Collaboration

CF Entertainment has teamed up with Netflix to celebrate and promote Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, the newest installment in the Beverly Hills Cop film franchise which released on July 3rd, 2024.

The result is a special music video of Crazy Frog's infamous cover of the movie series' theme song, Axel F!

The music video contains a montage of clips from the recently released movie, but with a twist! Causing chaos throughout the video is Crazy Frog himself, who is evading capture from the Beverly Hills Cop series' main character, Axel Foley (played by Eddie Murphy).

Perhaps this official collaboration will help clear up the misconception that Axel F was a Crazy Frog original song, and that it's actually a cover of an iconic movie theme from the 80's.

Thirty years after the dreadful BHC III and forty years after the original, Netflix's long-in-development buddy cop sequel reunites many of the same players from the stalwart '80s franchise headlined by comedian Eddie Murphy's charismatic performance (even at age 63) as a rogue Detroit cop who refuses to play by the rules. It's a pure hit of action-packed nostalgia with tons of familiar (sometimes tired) touchpoints from the needle drops to wanton destruction of public property and a total disregard for procedure. The heat (albeit milder) is indeed on again.

Which will probably be enough to satisfy the fanatical fans. Expertly coordinated by newcomer imprint Molloy and directed by a panel that follows the format precisely, this Netflix quintessentially 80s classic is perfectly captured.
