The shop has over 15 adorable and practical items perfect for your everyday activities, from unique water bottles to hamster-themed notebooks! ReliaPet currently has care information for rats, hamsters, rabbits, and bettas. On ReliaPet, you’ll find comprehensive articles on various topics, from researching to growing sprouts for your pets! Soon, I will add more species to meet all your pet care needs.

Understanding the reason behind the “what” makes a big difference. So, ReliaPet articles explain what and why so you can make better care decisions.

The pet care community is always evolving. New species entering and standards improving with new science. I regularly review and update our articles to match the corrected care standards you rely on. I realize while I may spend more time doing research than writing the article itself, I can still make mistakes, so your feedback is important. Fishtober Day 15 - Blue Samurai Betta

Maybe it's just because I love the colour combination but this fish is absolutely gorgeous! This is the Blue Samurai Betta!

Betta, or Siamese Fighting Fish were domesticated 1000 years ago in Thailand. People used to bet on them as they are very territorial. They're now common as pets but they must be alone as they still fight others.

They're fairly low maintenance fish, being able to endure low oxygen levels, but poor water quality leads to them catching diseases. They require warm water, 24-28°c [or 75-82°F] and prefer a pH of 7, or as close to as possible.

They prefer large aquariums, despite their small size of around 7.5cm [3 inches] and require lots of plants for enrichment!

You'd never have guessed, but I really like fish.

One of Reef's favourite activities is people watching! 👀 Whenever visitors are around he can almost always be found on his leaf hammock, ready to say hello! 🥰🐠

Another one of his favourite activities is - believe it or not - listening to music! There's a speaker right next to his tank, and whenever it's playing music he's often hanging around the side of the tank where the music is loudest in the water! 🕺 🎸 🎵

Coming out of hibernation with a new fish! My partner and I picked up a beta today, a little girl we named Cosmo. I’ve never kept bettas before, it’s been so much fun watching her explore the tank.
