Blondie: I'M NOT!!?"

They both share pretty much the same taste in girls, okay

Like every time Blondie sees a pretty girl at school, he'll tell Gray and if Gray finds a hot actress/female singer, he'll tell Blondie...and it kind of became one of their things.

But as he grows up Blondie slowly realizes that he also finds this guy from their volleyball club kinda pretty 🤨?

Okay, boys can be pretty too so what? It can't be that big of a deal 🙄

And oh, well, the lead actor in the movie Gray just put on on their shared laptop was also pretty hot 🤨?

Blondie was reeeally trying to focus on the lead actress- which is the reason they picked this movie in the first place- but was the scene where the lead actor rip off his shirt really that necessary🤨🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈??? NO he think the fuck NOT

Of course he wasn't going to discuss it with their parents and certainly not with Gray because he would tell their parents, so he did what all teenagers his age do at that age.

Googling it.

The twins have to share a computer at the moment since Gray spilled fcking Sprite on his... and that's how he found out about Blondie's search history (cuz that dumbss forgot to erase it and seems like he doesnt know about private browser mode neither)

Gray: omg ya so gay!!

Blondie: wtf-

Gray (showing the history) : I'm so going ta tell ma and pa!!

Blondie: What?! No, ya won't!! (he was really starting to panic and tried to get the computer back)

as a writer who both loves tragedy and doomed romance, and happy endings, who currently wants to write a lot of horror gothic whatever... i'm curious as to which impulse i should lean harder into: the tropes i enjoy in media, or the (fanfiction based?) impulse to end things mostly happy

#in my defense i do have a novel planned where the ending is very downbeat while also providing some catharsis #but like... yeah #the novel i'm working on is a rewrite of a short story from undergrad and my teacher thought my characters didnt deserve #the quote punishment of my attempt at an ambiguous bly tma style ending #and then i decided i didnt want to doom those characters and have been trying to rewrite it #but now im wondering if thats going too against the grain/#too anti genre #like i feel like the best horror that i love doesnt tie things up neatly #although i can list examples #but the softer your story is the less people think its horror #but also there's a lot of other downbeat endings for other characters and i do have a pair of 1800s doomed lesbians lmao #so #idk #writing

hello gamers minor life update I have been doing Real bad lately so I will likely continue to be very inactive, but hey on the bright side I have been fleshing out some eternal gales lore I reworked a while back and I can happily say that Dodie no longer completely contradicts the very nature of reality in eternal gales and the fog tower™ officially has a real reason to exist again so hell yeah to that

#rat rambles #eternal gales #oc posting #this is a piece of lore I technically updated a while ago but I mostly just relocated dodie home to a different piece of worldbuilding #but now Im fleshing things out a bit more and Im so glad that I set myself up such an easy way to jump ship on the old stuff #it also makes my life easier because it means that I have an actual reason for mase to be the first person dodie encounters in person #also an actual reason to trap him at first sorry dude it adds to the suspense #longggggg story short dodie lives in the universe's core of sorts #its where all the other characters are transported to at the beginning of the story due to other stuff #I already had it as a thing that the core attempts to replicate the casts home and food and such to help maintain them #but the fog tower™ had its core echo in place since forever basically #mostly because the narrator wanted to get dodie a home set up in the core instead of having to find a way to house her in notmal society #now the tower wasnt exactly meant to be found but it still had to be real enough to actually get echoed so it was real enough to be found #hense why mase's family lives in the lower half of it #the top half is fully reserved for setting up stuff to be echoed to dodie's tower #this is mostly handled my cup aka dodie's long distance mom figure #but most of that stuff was done before dodie was properly created and as such cup had to fight for their life to figure out how to best get #this child growing up in fucked up situations as happy and stable as they could with limited budget and time #they were also dealing with doing a lot of this behind the backs of mase's parents as the two wanted them to provide just the bare basics #despite this cup managed to sneak in a shit ton more video tapes than they were supposed to and attempted to cover as much as possible #ofc dodie still ended up incredibly unstable and fucked up anways but she still loves her long distance video mom dearly #up til she was like 12 or so those tapes were the only way she could see and hear another person #but yeah in the echoed version the lower half of the tower is mostly consumed by plantlife and the such #hense why dodie avoids the area like the plague she has hashtag issues regarding plants #oh yeah Ive also been thinking abt fydd a lot lately #I have been slowly developing a bit of a side plot for him in my head that Im not 100% sure Im going to commit to but Im mivrowaving it #basically I was thinking abt each of the human casts sort of quote unquote domains are #by that I mean the whole reason they get drawn to the universe core is because theyre all sorta connected to universe functions #fydd is one of the weird ones because his place in the system is the basic software ig would be the best way to put it?#hes connected to the very base of the system that the rest of the functions are built into

Nothing like the feeling when you feel like you're supposed to be productive but there's not really much you can do so you just sit back and simmer in your inferiority complex and contemplate the fact that grades really are more of an arbitrary method of judgement in a way certainly influenced by personal bias and the teachers mood and opinions and the students day and overall mental state and that they really say nothing about a students abilities and capabilities and even if my teacher told me i produce a slodge of unhelpful wordmaterial that doesn't mean I suck at the english language and am incapable if bringing things to the, to put it in her words, " 'points' which are often repetitive" with my limited analytic vocabulary. As if the grasp I have on the english language isn't at least native level. As if I'm not perfectly capable of being short and concise. Just because I'm not the best at interpreting short stories and mark my quotations wrong which, I might add! wouldn't be a bloody issue if they actually told you what to do different when they correct their blasted rigged exams. But yeah sure me not revising is the issue.

#still bitter about that it happened this morning it's yesterdays snow but I'm still bitter that #I can hold a grudge if i want to I can be childish if I want to #and right now I want to #can't even be too mad she does have a point I suppose in my lacking structure #but one could've been nicer in saying it is all...#"Tip: Maybe pause to think about the words before writing them down'' Okay thanks fuck you as well I suppose #that's an actual quote btw not paraphrasing she wrote that #not even the grade I take issue with the grade is not the best but I can live with it I've had worse grades in my day #but those quips genuinely did offend me I must say #no reason to be so brutal with it... This is what it takes to better onesself yadda yadda #but I really can't say I don't feel at least a little personally offended by that #what a bother.
