Treating Fungal Acne | NEODERMA
We talked about fungal acne previously, so here’s how to treat it. Because fungal acne is an infection, your dermatologist might prescribe a simple body wash or oral medication, depending on its severity. Topical sulfur wash is anti-fungal, so incorporating that into your bathing routine will likely be advised. Also, given that fungal acne is caused by yeast overgrowth in the hair follicles, oral medication might be necessary to treat the infection from the inside out. As always, we recommend seeking medical help whenever an issue occurs that doesn’t heal up on its own.

can I request a cute date with intak that takes place in the rain but doesn't stop them from enjoying their time together?
 ˚。⋆୨୧˚ sweet bf!intak x reader ୨୧ ‧₊˚ ⋅
♡ genre/warnings: fluff!!! y/n is having a bad day but a cute rainy date with intak makes everything better <3
♡ word count: 1,216 words
♡ author's note: ahh thank you so much for requesting anon!! this is the first time i've written in over a month omg i hope you enjoy reading this as much as i enjoyed writing it :")
//
damn it.
you were late. by 10 minutes, to be exact.
on any other day, you were punctual. but today, of all days, things just didn’t seem to be going your way.
your pre-exam tradition – two half-boiled eggs for breakfast, turned out to be very hard-boiled this morning. you rushed out of the door to catch the bus with a lingering dryness in your mouth (from the yolks, no doubt), only to realise when you were approaching the bus stop that you forgot your umbrella and there was no time to turn back. there were no free seats on the bus so you had to stand by the back door, shuffling awkwardly every time the bus made a stop. your regular seat by the window overlooking the school field was taken by some lanky, blonde boy. and to top it all off, you overheard your classmates claiming they wrote down completely different answers to yours as you dashed out of the exam hall to catch the first bus out of there.
the moment you stepped out of the bus, you felt it.
a drop. and then another. and then one more.
you sighed. today, of all days, why did everything have to be so difficult?
you took cover under the bus stop as rain began to fall all around you. your lips worked itself into a permanent pout as you pulled out your phone, fingers flying across the screen as you sent a quick text to update intak that you arrived at your meeting spot, and to apologise for being late.
you were meant to go on a date – the first in two weeks. a date to unwind after the exam you’ve been studying and preparing and dreading all week. a date to walk around seoul forest and be one with nature and take in the greenery, the ponds and the birds chirping. a date to spend time and be with your boyfriend, intak.
who, speaking of, was calling your name from across the street.
“y/n!!”
you looked up, and felt your tense shoulders and furrowed eyebrows relax itself upon meeting his eyes. the weight you carried around all day gradually lightened. there he was, your boyfriend, hwang intak – happiness personified, million-watt lopsided smile, umbrella in hand. if he had a tail, you were absolutely sure it’d be wagging excitedly by now.
“hold on!” he shouted before looking both ways and sprinting towards you.
you watched, transfixed, as your happiness spread and unfolded before your very eyes. you couldn’t help but to feel your heart tug and pull you towards him.
“hey,” intak saw you and his excited smile shifted into one of understanding and empathy. he could tell, by your body language and facial expression, that today hadn’t been the best for you.
instead of exchanging greetings, you just hugged him. you wanted to; no, needed to recharge your batteries by being close to him.
intak just smiled quietly while hugging you back. as your boyfriend, he knew that you needed time to soak in the present moment and enjoy being in his embrace. he realised, as you snuggled closer, that he liked the thought of being needed like this.
after a few silent moments, you peeled away and looked up at him.
he looked back expectantly. “better?”
“so much better. i’m all recharged.” you placed a sweet kiss on his cheek and he replied by pressing his soft lips on your forehead. “but the date is ruined.”
“what do you mean?” he followed your line of sight, which was shooting daggers at the grey skies above. “we have an umbrella, y/n.” he chuckled.
“but…”
“c’mon, it’ll be a little uncomfortable, but we’ll have so much fun. trust me! here.” like magic, intak conjured up two cans from his pocket. a hot latte for you, and a can of soymilk for himself. “have this, it’ll warm you up.”
the two of you linked arms and walked around the park. while savouring your warm drinks, you pointed things out to each other. the little things, like how the water droplets gathered on a single petal or leaf, or the buds that were ready and eager to bloom into flowers, or the funny shapes of the puddles, and jumping over said puddles. you both huddled close as a chilly wind blew over you, coaxing the trees into a flamboyant dance and the leaves to rustle in a calming song, accompanied by the gentle pitter-patter of rain on your shared umbrella. you closed your eyes and took a deep breath, letting nature wash away the remnants of your tiring day.
intak couldn’t resist the urge to take photos of you – you standing in the rain, you crouching down to admire the flowerbeds, you chasing the ducks around the pond. inevitably, he got himself wet in the process.
“it’s just a bit of rain.” intak shrugged and shot you his signature smile. he shook the droplets off his hair and sprinkled you with raindrops in the process.
and you know what? he was right. before you met him, you used to be really set in your ways. you were not particularly spontaneous, and would feel uncomfortable if things didn’t go to plan, or worse, if there wasn’t a plan. but since meeting intak, who had a completely different outlook on life, you’ve been exposed to a new perspective. you learned to go with the flow – to let things go, to focus less on the outcome and to just have fun in the process. it was like something inside you shifted.
you found a dry patch under a big tree. using a stick, you began to draw shapes in the dirt. intak quickly caught on, and tried to add his own drawings to yours. the two of you tag teamed, taking turns drawing each stroke of an animal that the other had to guess. you failed miserably, given your lack of artistic skills. the game concluded when intak drew a heart with your names in the centre. it was so cheesy, and it made you feel like the main character’s love interest in a high school romcom, but you loved it.
intak didn’t mind being a huge cheeseball, as long as it meant he got to see that pretty smile of yours. yes, definitely worth it, he decided as you leaned in for a kiss that tasted like a mix of coffee and soymilk– a perfect combination, he thought. after all, the boy is in love with you.
“shall we get lunch?” he asked.
“yes, but i’m craving pancakes. kimchi pancakes, vegetable pancakes… and makgeolli.”
intak shot you a knowing smile. the initial plan was to try this new viral pasta restaurant close by. that was the reason why you met near seoul forest in the first place.
but it just wasn’t the right weather for pasta – it was raining, and the only correct answer for what to eat on a rainy day in korea is pancakes and makgeolli. the sound of oil splashing and splattering when frying the pancakes, or jeon, resembled the sound of raindrops.
intak was happy because he knew you were becoming more open to trying things, and learning to adapt. he felt his chest blossom with pride.
“i know just the right place.”

Okay so you guys remember this post?
Well....
Chosen couldn’t believe his eyes.
The city glittered with color; banners hung from poles, streamers stretched above the heads of the bustling crowd, and the crowd itself shimmered with the brightest of shades.
Sounds of all kinds reached his ears: all the people laughing and talking over one another, the wind brushing against the decorations, the faint strains of music drifting about
Chosen halted just at the edge of it all to close his eyes and drink it in.
The moment was broken by harsh sizzling and a startled “What?!”
Chosen bit back a chuckle and cracked open one eye. Dark stood beside him, the grass scorched beneath his feet. He stared up at the city, mouth wide open and eyes the size of icons. He held up his arms to encompass everything and only managed another sound of bafflement.
Chosen laughed. “It’s beautiful, isn’t it–“
“It’s amazing!” Dark cried. He squinted at a poster on a nearby wall. “What’s a ‘festival’?”
It hadn’t been that long since they’d escaped the computer. By Chosen’s count, maybe a couple days. Those had been spent flying around the surrounding land, messing around, and discovering just how much Dark knew.
He knew what a PC was, and he had a vague understanding of the concept of an “animator”. But the nature they saw around them mystified him.
Chosen shook himself out of his reverie. “It’s like a party, I think.” He said. “A big one. Anyone in the city can go.”
Dark glanced at him, his eyes alight. Before Chosen could do or say anything Dark grabbed his hand and dragged him into the crowd.
_._._
People chattered, salesmen yelled across the street for potential customers to view their wares, lanterns hanging above the street swayed on their strings, making some sticks look up in mild concern as though they were going to fall at any moment.
It was loud. It was overwhelming.
Chosen loved it.
He let Dark pull him into a run. They weaved in and out of the crowd, dodging the stands of various items and hopping over benches.
Chosen craned his neck, wanting to see everything. He released Dark’s hand for a split second, looking at a family of sticks playing a game at a booth, when he ran smack into something.
He rebounded and fell to the ground, as did the stick he’d run into.
He sat up. “Hey!” he snapped. “Watch where you’re–“
It was a kid. He’d ran into a kid.
They sat up from their sprawled position on the ground, their face screwed up in a pout. They stuck out their tongue.
Chosen quickly got to his feet. “Sorry,” he stammered. “That was probably my fault.” He held out a hand.
The kid raised their eyes to Chosen’s face and their jaw dropped. They simply stared at Chosen with wide eyes.
“Uh–“
The kid scrambled to their feet and ran– straight into the arms of a nearby adult, who gathered them into their arms and shot Chosen a deadly glare.
Chosen swallowed and offered them his best “whoops, sorry” facial expression. He must have not done it correctly, because the stick scoffed and disappeared into the crowd with the kid.
Weird.
Now that Chosen wasn’t preoccupied with accidentally running over children, he came to the realization that he was alone.
He’d let go of Dark’s hand, and he’d must have kept running through the festival without him.
Chosen ignored the little pang of annoyance that came with that thought and focused on scanning the sticks around him for a bright red stick with a hollow head.
Strangely enough, while there were quite a few sticks with crimson coloring, there weren’t any with hollow heads. Not a single one.
Chosen moved through the crowd, eyes peeled. There were sticks of every shade, size, and shape– but none who resembled him or Dark. A few of them glanced at him and then double-taked. Did he really stand out that much?
Chosen stepped out on a curb, emerging from the crowd into what looked like a park. Groups of sticks stood around talking, playing games, or purchasing things from booths and pop-up carts scattered on the grass.
Chosen halted. He inhaled slowly. Those carts were full of food.
It smelled amazing; better than anything he’d ever smelled.
Chosen’s mouth watered. His stomach made itself known with a familiar pang, and he had an instinctive thought to keep an eye out for some icons or an essay the next time Noogai let him out–
No, that wasn’t right. He wasn’t on the PC anymore.
…what did normal sticks eat, anyway?
Chosen slowly approached one of the carts. There was a short line, and he hovered awkwardly behind two adolescents as they ordered. The stick manning the cart handed them a cylindrical wrapped item, and they gave him a handful of crumpled bills.
Wait, bills?
Chosen winced as he noticed the sign on the side of the cart, outlining the prices of what was apparently burritos. It was likely a very fair price; Chosen just didn’t have any money.
His stomach growled, and he stepped back from the cart sheepishly. Maybe there was some free samples somewhere–
His eyes landed on a half-unwrapped burrito lying innocently on a nearby picnic table. No one was around. Nobody was watching him.
Chosen side-stepped next to the table and quickly glanced around one more time.
He snatched up the burrito, tucked it in his arms, and began walking backwards towards the center of the park.
He bumped into someone, causing them to yelp. He spun around, already apologizing, and nearly ran into someone else.
The crowd had grown; Chosen was surrounded on all sides. Bodies pressed in on him. His breathing quickened. He screwed his eyes shut, overwhelmed–
“Chosen!”
Chosen startled and swung an arm at his attacker, but it was caught midair– by Dark.
“Hey dude!” he shouted over the noise of the crowd. “Lost you for a sec. You good?”
Chosen blinked, then nodded.
Dark spotted the burrito clutched in his hand. “Ha!” He held out his own findings: a small portable dish filled to the brim with rice and meat. “Did you steal that too–“
Dark slapped a hand over his own mouth, his eyes widening. A grin spread across his face. “Whoops, probably shouldn’t have said that–”
Chosen rolled his eyes.
Dark gestured for Chosen to follow him. They slipped through the crowd, across the park, to a curb a-ways-away. Dark sat on the pavement behind an empty cart, and Chosen plopped down beside him.
“What’d you get,” Dark asked, poking his own pile of rice with a finger.
“Burrito. What’s that?”
Dark shrugged. “Dunno, can’t pronounce it. Started with an O, though. Ooh, what’s this green stuff–“
Chosen looked back to his burrito. It had clearly been unwrapped before, and then rewrapped in a failed attempt to keep it safe. He took a corner of the wrapping and pulled it away.
The smell smacked him in the face. Chosen’s mouth began watering again, but he opened it slowly. It had been a while since he’d eaten anything. Was it different with actual food? Did he have to chew?
He took a bite.
Flavor exploded in his mouth, and he flinched backwards in surprise. Cautiously, he chewed. Textures spread across his tongue and crunched under his teeth. It was… delicious.
Nothing had ever been delicious before. The things he’d eaten on the computer had been dry, sometimes crunchy in a stale sort of way. Usually he wouldn’t even chew, simply gulping letters and icons down as fast as possible before he would be yanked back by the chain.
But this was different. This wasn’t just eating for the sake of sustenance; this was an experience to be enjoyed.
Chosen swallowed with difficulty. All this time… other sticks had been living normal lives. Not trapped by an Animator, or forced to be a pop-up blocker. They’d just been… living.
Noogai would have kept all of this from him. Locked him up forever.
He felt a spark of anger, but it was quickly drowned out by– something. An emotion Chosen couldn’t identify. A lump of good-bad stuck in his throat. He unhinged his mouth a little and took a bigger bite.
As if from far away, he heard Dark talking to him and laughing but he couldn’t focus on it. A lump rose in his throat and he couldn’t swallow past it. The sun was in his eyes. He could see the sun.
He really was free.
Chosen crumbled into a ball and began to sob.
He felt Dark jump, but he just hugged his knees to his chest and buried his head in his arms. His chest heaved, and he gasped as warm tears bubbled up and rolled down his face.
He could feel it all– the wetness dripping down his face, the tightness in his throat, the strange pain-but-not-pain settled in his chest. He wasn’t dying, was he? It would suck to finally be free and then die on day four-and-a-half.
“Chosen?” came the quiet voice.
Chosen shifted his head to the side to look at Dark. Even through his teary, blurry vision, he could see how worried Dark looked.
How could he even begin to explain this? Dark hadn’t had to live the way he had. Chosen would never wish that on anyone, much less his new companion, but it meant Dark would never truly understand.
He opened his mouth–
His voice didn’t work.
Well. That solved that problem.
He swallowed with difficulty and tried to smile reassuringly. All he could manage was quirking his lips up to one side.
Dark still looked a bit panicked. “Are– are you–“ he stammered, then stopped. He suddenly thrust the remains of his rice dish in Chosen’s face. “H-hold this.”
Chosen grabbed it, and Dark stood to run off somewhere.
Chosen sniffed harshly, and looked down at the dish. It smelled nice. There was what looked like a triangle made of rice. He carefully scooped it into his hand and took a bite. It tasted good. More tears overflowed, and he chewed slowly, feeling a breeze brush against his face. He shut his eyes for a moment.
Something tapped his shoulder. He turned to see Dark, holding out a small stack of napkins. Chosen blinked at him, a little confused.
Dark gestured. “For your face.”
Chosen reached up and registered how wet his face was. He snorted softly in amusement. He took the napkins and began wiping his face.
Dark cleared his throat. “…you okay now?” he asked.
Chosen wanted to say he was fine. That he was more fine than he had ever been. That if he took another bite of anything else delicious he might melt into a puddle. But his voice was sealed up and he could only nod.
Dark let out a breath. “Okay, ‘cause that was– I don’t–“
Chosen’s lips twitched to the side.
There was a beat, then Dark said slowly “do you wanna leave?”
Chosen rubbed at his eyes as he took a moment to think. He shrugged.
Dark nodded a little. “They’re um, they’re lighting lanterns over there.” He held out his hand. “Come on, let’s at least go see what they’re doing.”
Chosen scrubbed at his face one last time before grasping Dark’s hand. He let himself get pulled upright, and then gently dragged towards the milling crowd to see what was going on.
Dark was right; the lanterns shone softly against the pink-blue sky, and the crowd had gathered in a circular arrangement.
Dark craned his neck, but after he seemingly failed to see what the commotion was, he hopped up on the side of a nearby cart. He gasped. “They’re making a dance circle!” As he spoke, music began to play, and the crowd livened.
Dark clambered down– whacking someone in the face in the process and earning himself a sharp “Hey!”– and grabbed Chosen’s hand. “Come on, Cho! Let’s go dance!”
Chosen blinked at the nickname and felt his throat release. “But I don’t know how to dance.”
“Neither do I! Come on, it’ll be fun!” Dark’s eyes were shining, and the music had picked up and Chosen’s head was beginning to spin a bit but he still swallowed hard and said “Alright.”
Dark whooped. He turned and began pushing his way to the edge of the circle. Chosen followed, ignoring the pointed glares they were getting.
They reached the edge, where they had opened a clearing on the grass. Dark paused, his gaze fixed on the dancing sticks in the middle. A new pair emerged from the crowd and began dancing. They were applauded for.
“Hang on, I’m getting a feel for how they do it,” Dark whispered to Chosen. He began bobbing his head to the beat and Chosen found himself swaying along.
The couple spun past them and Dark crouched down to watch their feet. Around them, other couples had broken out of the circle and into dance.
Dark clapped his hands. “Okay I’ve got it. Here, take my hand; and I’ll take yours– and off we go!”
Chosen yelped as Dark pulled him in the clearing and they tried to dance.
Tried being the relevant word.
“We have to step together,” Dark raised his voice above the music. “Around and around, see–“
Chosen tripped. “Woah hey– ouch that was my foot–“
“I’m not trying to– ack!”
They spun and nearly smacked into another couple.
“Hey!”
“Sorry, sorry, we don’t know what we’re doing–“ Dark quickly grabbed Chosen’s waist and steered them away. They whirled around in a teetering tripping mess, whacking into people and just missing others.
Chosen’s head was still heavy, and everything was still a bit too much, but it was rather nice.
The lanterns were casting soft shadows and the sky was orange.
The music was loud and happy, and Dark was laughing.
Somehow, Chosen found himself laughing along.

On the topic of not wearing makeup, look, I know it’s hard to give it up. It’s hard when you’ve grown used to how your face looks with it on and you find your natural face to look…..off. Washed out. Not right. Icky. I get it.
But look. I am 42 years old, I have not exactly taken the best care of myself (WAY too much drinking/drugs/partying in my 20’s and 30’s) I don’t exercise nearly as much as I should and I’m just…..man, I’m just making it through each day. I don’t do facials or microdermabrasion or any of that shit. I have a vitamin c facial cleanser, rose water toner, and a vitamin c moisturizer. That’s it. I don’t wear makeup, I don’t do masks and treatments and peels on my face. I wear a sunhat with built in SPF when I’m outdoors and that is literally the full extent of what I do for my face.
And you gyns…..the number of times I have been mistaken for being AT LEAST ten years younger than I am is ASTOUNDING. I gave up makeup and let my skin heal and suddenly I went from “Oh you say you’re in your 40’s? That tracks” to “Bull fucking SHIT you’re 42!!! You’re maybe 30, TOPS, what the hell??” When I was still wearing makeup I once got mistaken for my husband’s MOTHER, okay?? And that man has silver all throughout his fucking hair.
Look, nobody really knows what any particular age looks like on any individual. I’ve known women in their 60’s that passed as peers of mine in my 20’s because they had gorgeous high cheekbones and skin like porcelain. I’ve known teenage boys that looked like fucking narcs. Nobody knows what any age is “supposed” to look like. But I CAN tell you that if you give up makeup and let your skin heal, you will look healthier and more vibrant than you ever have at any point with a layer of chemicals on your face. Maybe you’ll look younger maybe not, who cares? But your skin WILL be healthier, and it will show.
It’s hard to take the first step, and if you aren’t able to do it over a holiday break, you’ll probably have to accept that you’ll get some looks and comments from your peers. But I cannot stress enough how, once you make the adjustment, you’ll grow so used to and in love with your natural face that the idea of putting makeup on will disgust you; it will look weird and clownish and as “not right” as your natural face once did to you.
And the more of us that eschew makeup, the easier it will get for other women to follow in our footsteps. We lead by example and the more of us not wearing makeup there are, the more normal it will seem for other women.
If you can’t give it all up at once, try to scale it back. Ditch the eyeshadow and just do mascara. Ditch the concealer and just do a light foundation. Scale it back at your own pace, but with the end goal always being to completely eliminate it.
You will feel so much better for it. Eventually. Just push through to the other side.

dan heng is astounded at his seat as you catch the sight of him rubbing his clothed erection, your jaw falling agape the next second. as a smart man he is, he instantly comes up of a way you'd understand best of what's happening in front of you, highlighting the fact that he's halfhearted at his job. naturally, you were perplexed at why the last detail was necessary, but all you knew is such chance shouldn't be wasted.
you seize the opportunity and climb up the male's figure, straddling his lap while your hands are clutching his ebony locks. placing your hole adjacent to his crotch, you rock your hips— grinding with additional pressure, dan heng bites his lips in an attempt to stifle his lewd sounds. you look at him with half lidded eyes, your hand proceeding to trail down to his lips, toying with the plump edges: you muse. "come on, press the record button." dan heng's pretty face twists, breath hitching the more friction is created on his aching dick.
jing yuan massages his temples, eyes shut as he listens to the audio, brows knitting from the impression that it's still not enough, it needs more feelings. he finds himself in a predicament and presses a button for a moment with an intent to cool off his head but the opposite happens; you barge into his room with no forewarnings.
"was that you whimpering?" you query with confusion carved in your facial expression. he looks back at his setup only to realize lately he tapped the bluetooth option, the audio chiming from your room's speakers. treading towards the perturbed male, you propose— "judging from the windows on the screen, it seems like you're unsatisfied with your outcome." you descend, kneeling down in front of the male's sat figure and fiddle with the waistband of his sweats, "perhaps i can be of help." fingers now slowly palming his rock hard cock. "oh definitely."
blade struggles from getting a hard on to keep himself going for a project he needs to work on. he crosses his arms and leans back on his desk chair, letting his back rest on the soft cushions. the male starts to reminisce such lascivious moments that have occurred way back. unfortunately, he fails to sense your presence as he was in deep thought, which then lead to you seeing the folders of his files.
his body jolts once he peels his eyes open to see your figure, wearing such sheer clothing that the fabric sits on your body's nook and crannies. there, he feels his bulge growing— "looks like you're in a tough spot." you comment, eyes heavily anchored at blade's bulge. his jaw clenches, "good thing you have a helpful roomie here." blade's eyes widen as he watches you strip in an instant, rubbing your nipples against the plane of his chest afterwards: "there's no going back, you know that." he answers and pulls you closer to his figure, finally tapping the record option.

Facial cleansing products and body wash 🚿
Hi everyone! In my last post I talked about skin types, the different characteristics of each, and the recommended types of products. In today's mini - essay I'd like to talk about skin in general, the different methods of cleansing, specifically body wash products, and why your average store body cleanser is probably not the best option.
As you might already know, the approach to cleansing should be different depending on your skin type, but keeping yourself clean is an essential factor, no matter what kind of characteristics your skin has. One of the methods to cleanse is through peelings and exfoliation. They are excellent choices for people who have thick and greasy skin, or problems such as acne.
Obviously, you shouldn't use just any scrub on your face. There are special exfoliating products designed for facial care specifically, which contain smaller scrubbing molecules, while exfoliating products for the body are bigger and rougher. What peeling and exfoliating products provide is basically removing excess dead skin, unclogging pores, and making the skin much softer afterwards.
Note : Exfoliating and peeling procedures shouldn't be done on a daily basis. Once a week is good, since doing this more often can result in skin that is too sensitive and easily irritated.
The next type of cleansing products work through attraction of dirt to the product. They are usually applied with a brush. Here we can talk about clay masks (White clay, also called kaolin), algae extract, charcoal masks (That are in a paste-like form), and zinc oxide. This kind of cleansing is very effective, deep and thorough, because it removes the excess secretions off the skin, such as sweat and dirt.
About body wash products
People mostly believe that the more foam a gel or shampoo creates, the better. It might give the illusion of a strong cleansing product. This isn't exactly wrong, but ;
Even though products that produce a lot of foam have a high cleaning efficacy, they also remove the skin's natural hydration.
They are very powerful when it comes to cleansing power, but perhaps too powerful for people that have dry or sensitive skin. They are the most irritant. Not only that, but they aren't particularly beneficial for any skin type, although they can be tolerated better by oily skin, yet the issue is that even people with oily skin present the most oiliness on their face, not on their body.
Therefore, very foamy products indicate high cleansing power, which might be effective in cases when you are very dirty, but if you keep regular hygiene habits, these products might just end up drying your skin too much.
We can also conclude that products that don't foam as much are better when it comes to respecting the skin's natural barrier ; They clean less that products that foam a lot, but this "less" doesn't always mean worse ; Like I mentioned, depending on your situation, you might need a powerful, foaming cleanser, but with a normal hygiene and a good, consistent routine, it is better to stick to less foaming and less irritating products.
Product recomendations for skincare
Cleansing milk is excellent for mixed, normal or dry skin. It adapts very well to the skin's natural pH, it is not irritant nor invasive. It's a good choice for sensitive skin as well, due to its gentleness. In addition, it makes the skin soft and hydrated, without feeling too greasy. You might see that some cleansing milks have hydrating properties too.
Syndet cleansers, or combo cleansers that combine soap and syndet. They are gentle on the skin as well, and syndet cleansers contain no soap, being a good choice for dry and sensitive skin especially. (Oily skin would benefit more from a combo, since it needs soap for thorough cleanse)
Oat cleansers. Oats are natural cleansers, so it's a good choice if you want to cleanse your skin while keeping things more natural. It has calming properties, being effective against easily irritated, dry, and sensitive skin in general. Oat products can come as creams and facial sprays as well, being effective for treating chronic dryness problems, such as atopic dermatitis or itchiness. Besides cleaning, it also provides the skin with a protective layer, maintaining it nourished.
Other products that I have personally used :
Facial products
- Sensibio Gel moussant by Sesderma
>It's mostly aimed for sensitive skin, and I use it because it's very gentle, contains no soap or fragrance and doesn't dry my skin out. It removes makeup pretty well too.
- Clarins Soothing gentle foaming cleanser
> It's aimed for sensitive skin as well, and it works very well as a cleanser. I noticed that you need very little of it to fully wash your face, even if you're wearing a bit of makeup. The skin feels very nice afterwards, which is great.
For face cream I use Nivea Soft, hydrating intense and refreshing cream. I mostly have dry / mixed skin, and this cream's hydrating effects last for a very long time, like I apply it in the morning and the whole day I feel my skin being very nourished. It's an excellent product if you suffer from dry skin or dry spots.
For the body
I have personal experience using Le Petit Marseille products. I believe their products are sold in pharmacies for about 4-5$ (I have the body wash gel with almond milk scent, and when I tell you it smells HEAVENLY) and they have other scents as well, such as peach and orange.
Their body wash gels don't contain that many ingredients, guaranteeing less possibility for irritation by other components, smell very, very good, and are gentle on the skin. They cost a bit more than an average body wash, but it is an investment so worth it for your skin.
I have used body wash products from InterApothek as well. Their products are sold in pharmacies, and the price is about 3-4$ I believe. The ingredients are 96% natural, and the products are fully vegan. I personally like their pomegranate gel a lot, it smells very good. I think this is a Spanish company though, I'm not sure if they sell these abroad (but it's so worth buying!)
Thank you for reading!

omg didi congrats on finishing the school yr!! i'm here to pop in for your summer fever event :D my fav trope is friends to lovers, i'm a sucker for slow romances with mutual pining and some misunderstandings along the way. i'm just a silly girl who loves the idea of being in love and lives in her delusions with fictional characters :D thank youuuu mwah <3
note : spirit !!! thank u for participating in my silly summer event hehe <3 ily, sorry this took ages to respond to!!
send me ur favorite trope or delusional song and i’ll write you something short !! [closed !!]
when it comes to valuing the friendship of one person and struggling with the slow creep of romantic feelings towards a close friends and the yearning that comes with it, the first person that comes to mind is al-haitham.
the young scribe is a tough nut to crack if you weren't already familiar with his actions and nature. most people assume he doesn't care about the frivolous things in life, and that he simply studies alone to keep his time interacting with others to the most minimum.
and, well, they would be correct for the most part. but it wasn't always exactly like that. even if people assume him to be rather stuck up for earning his title and not showing to all meetings in the akedemiya or assumed he was such a talented mind for just having his title of scribe, it didn't matter to him since he knew himself best and rumors have never bothered him anyways.
and, of course, you knew him, and why would he care about what anyone else thinks?
there's more than meets the eyes when it comes to your friend. others see a wonderful scholar that has so many opportunities handed to him to further pursue his researches and become one of the most highly respected alumni from the akedemiya that anyone has ever seen; he held the title of the scribe of sumeru akedemiya and he was so highly honored for being studious and hardworking.
a brilliant mind hidden away researching on the newest projects when people need him most.
and yet, al haitham is always where you decide to check first. though, it isn't hard to find him when he stays in two spots, either in his home or hidden in a crook in the house of daena. it's almost as if you had a sixth sense for wherever he decided to hide from others, or perhaps it was because you simply knew him all to well; he avoided crowds so anywhere where it wasn't too busy would be where he was.
to you, al haitham is your dear friend.
after being around the young scribe for so long, you've grown accustomed to how he acts. although quiet most times and hardly changing any facial expressions, you know he enjoys being around you. perhaps it could be because you never bothered him to the extent that other people have, but you like to think that he stays because he simply likes you.
others have brought up the idea of him having romantic feelings for you, hence why he prefers to stay by your side regardless of what either of you are doing, but you always shake their presumptions off. he was just friendly and you were one of the few people who didn't interrupt his alone time with a reason he didn't deem good enough.
it wasn't like the idea of perhaps sharing a deeper relationship with al haitham never crossed your mind; he's a handsome fellow and has been with you through your ugliest moments in life. you distinctly remember a night where you had attempted to stay up all night to cram for an exam the next afternoon only to wake up the next morning with a familiar cape draped over your shoulders, a bowl of peeled and sliced zaytun peaches beside you, and the familiar scent of your old friend surrounding you.
"what's on your mind?" al haitham's deep voice rumbles from beside you. a slender finger flips a page as he continues skimming the words printed. the skin of his arm grazes your own as he moves to turn the page, the brief touch sending your heart aflutter and you scold yourself internally to calm down.
"oh, it's nothing," you respond as nonchalantly as you could.
pining for your friend? don't be ridiculous.
he probably thought relationships were too much to handle; al haitham was always one to take the easiest way out and there wasn't any easy way through a romantic relationship. it was simply too emotionally taxing and the young scribe wouldn't ever be interested.
al haitham doesn't respond and you assume it's the end of the conversation.
"you don't have to hide anything from me, you know?" he speaks quietly, as if the words were only meant for you and you alone. your heart flutters against your chest at the thought but you shake it off. as your heart calms down, it soars again when a firm hand is placed on your thigh.
the vines and jungles of the apam woods are staring back at you; leaves that cut those who wander to close as a warning to keep their distance but beckon you sweetly closer to the heart of the foliage. although his face was usually unmoving and stoic, there's a gentle warmth in the way that he stares at you that calms your nerves while simultaneously making your heart hammer against your chest.
it's hard to keep your feelings at bay when the comforting rays of sun that cast through the verdure of his heart reach out to encase you in nothing but the warmth and safety of his love whether or not it was platonic.
it wouldn't hurt to wish for something more with him, would it?

'Outlook Rating: 4.5 / 5
Magic, that’s exactly what this film is. Titled ‘All of Us Strangers,’ the movie is written and directed by Andrew Haigh. After screening at various international film festivals, and earning six prestigious BAFTA nominations, the Andrew Scott-starrer is finally available to watch at the comfort of your homes. So, in case you’re planning on giving it a watch, here’s what you must know about this haunting yet hard-hitting movie.
‘All of Us Strangers’: Story
Loosely based on the 1987 novel ‘Strangers’ by Taichi Yamada, the story follows a lonely screenwriter, Adam (Andrew Scott), who reconnects with his deceased parents (Jamie Bell and Claire Foy), whom he never told he was gay, in the familiar corners of the suburbs where he grew up. The only other resident in Adam’s modern apartment in London, the mysterious neighbour Harry (Paul Mescal), shows up at his doorstep one evening, drunk and maybe a little desperate. After their first meeting, Harry visits Adam again, this time sober, and they hit it off. As they grow closer and let each other in on their vulnerabilities, Adam feels a deep sadness knowing his parents will never meet the person he cares for deeply, all while uncovering troubling secrets about his past and questioning the nature of reality itself.
‘All of Us Strangers’: Performances
Andrew Scott delivers a captivating performance that brings Adam’s complex emotional journey to life. With subtle yet powerful gestures and expressions, Scott peels back the layers of his character, revealing his loneliness, and emotional complexities. You can feel the pain as he grapples with the weight of his unspoken truths about his sexuality and the longing to connect with his long-gone parents. A lot of his expressions convey a myriad of emotions without the need for words.
Similarly, Paul Mescal brings about a heartfelt performance to the screen. From his first scene itself, he will lure you in with his portrayal of a man who is both mysterious and vulnerable. And as the story progresses, he becomes a memorable and integral part of Adam’s journey. He beautifully complements Scott, fostering a genuine sense of intimacy and connection between their characters.
Jamie Bell and Claire Foy deliver powerful performances stepping in as Adam’s parents, showcasing a raw authenticity that is truly captivating. Together, they skilfully portray the pain and yearning of parents witnessing their son’s struggle with grief. Their performances, filled with tumultuous facial expressions, are poignant and deeply affecting, and the character development they have, individually, is a marvel to witness.
All four brilliant stars have given it their best shot and it’s wonderfully evident, making it seem too real to be true.
All of Us Strangers’: Script, Direction & Technical Aspects
You can tell this film is close to Andrew Haigh’s heart for it is too gorgeous, heart-shattering and deeply personal. What makes this movie so compelling is how it takes you through a spectrum of different emotions – love, loss, fear, regret, desire, connection, and at last, acceptance. I, for one, have not even remotely come close to experience what the characters in the film have and yet, in a way I could relate to it? I know that probably doesn’t make sense but there’s just a tint of universality in how the characters have been so beautifully written and how their arcs end up intertwining in a web of emotions. The story beautifully illustrates the timeless and boundless nature of love, showing that it is the most powerful feeling one could experience.
The movie will most definitely have you in a chokehold. Both as a writer and a director, Haigh has outdone himself.
Visually, while it could get confusing at times to differentiate between heart-wrenching reality and dreamy imagination, you can easily let it slide because you will end up finding out which is which in a few seconds. With a tactile and tender lens, Jamie Ramsay captures the intimacy and sensitivity of the characters. To be able to evoke a sense of wonder and highlight the complexity of human intimacy is no easy feat, but he has made the best use of all different kinds of camera angles, along with various hues. In addition to this, the editing is seamless, thanks to Jonathan Albert. You will be taken into a different scene with a slow fade, and soon enough, you will find yourself immersed in a setting different from the previous one at a slow pace.
One important aspect in the movie is the music. Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch’s atmospheric compositions harmonize with the intense settings and draw you in. These undertones are complemented by pre-existing music choices. Whether it’s Pet Shop Boys’ ‘Always on My Mind’ or Frankie’s ‘The Power of Love,’ they play a crucial role in making sense of the entire narrative.
‘All of Us Strangers’: Cast & Crew
Director: Andrew Haigh
Cast: Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal, Jamie Bell, and Claire Foy
Available On: Disney+ Hotstar
Duration: 106 minutes
Premiere Date: May 8, 2024
Genre: Romantic fantasy
Language: English
‘All Of Us Strangers’: Can Kids Watch It?
No.
Outlook’s Verdict
A sight for sore eyes, but heavy to the heart and mind – that’s what I’m going to go with. Despite its emotionally heavy narrative, ‘All of Us Strangers’ ultimately shows the strength of the human spirit. What sets apart this film, directed by Andrew Haigh, is its raw and distinctive depiction of emotions. Through its compelling storytelling and outstanding performances, it highlights the idea that even in the toughest of times, acceptance is the key to move on and that, there’s always a chance for growth.'

The Ancient Magus' Bride S2 Episode 1: Live and Let Live
A bit of a background for those that don't know. Studio Kafka is the team behind MahoYome S2, they handled one of the OVAs before tackling this full season, and they are an offshoot of WIT. This is their first full on production, and a sequel to a series that many have a strong affinity towards. Does this first episode live up to the expectations that WIT put in place, and does the new staff heading it up manage to keep things in check while providing their own style?
In short, I would say, "Very nearly so". I wouldn't say that they immediately manage to deliver on what fans are hoping for from them, but I also wouldn't say it's a let down in any sense of the word. It inhabits a state of limbo, as viewers wait with bated breath for a definitive slip up or success, neither of which is immediately apparent in this first episode.
So, allow me to address the elephant in the room: CGI. Yeah, that's about the extent of the challenges in this first episode (aside from some sound mixing issues that appear in one or two scenes). Surprisingly, it's not really anything like direction or design or art or anything like that, as the people in roles like character or color designer have carried over from WIT's tenure with the series. Anyways, The CGI doesn't blend all that well, the compositing is far from atrocious, but the moment it appears you immediately think, "ah yeah, that's CGI" in a sort of resigned fashion.
But I think that's all that needs to be said about that. There's struggles, certainly, but Kafka is making the best use of what they have on hand. Their CGI expertise might not be absolutely incredible, but I think it's palatable enough for them to use it wherever so that they can put more effort into the other, more important pieces of the episode.
So let me move onto direction then. It's a new director, you can't really avoid challenges in the gear change from something so massive. It's not MahoYome S1, for sure, but with what we've seen I'm quite liking Kazuki's approach.
Though it's at risk of not being incredibly unique, I think it meshes very well with the overall tone and sentiment of MahoYome. From this first episode we can see what amounts to creative aggression. Intense camera angles, plenty of closeups, and lots of slow yet wide motions.
We're largely focused on eyes and feet in this episode, as they convey the emotions and thoughts of the characters more than their facial expressions manage. We're shown the backs of characters as they converse, their feet or shadows as they walk and talk. Much of the content is expressed through these close up moments, peeling back the superficial layer that decorates the story and characters to provide a more sincere look. Now, this has almost nothing to do with what I said, but take the following scene as an example.
The overall layout is quite solid, showing that the conversation is predominantly involving Adolf and Chise, while Elias is left as a bystander to the whole affair. Going even further than that is how Adolf is "above" Chise in the scene, asserting the authority and relationship between the pair rather naturally. It's a really natural showing of the understanding and underlying expression that the characters have throughout the episode, but maybe I should show examples of what I did say earlier.
Aside from being Sakuga of course, this little scene is a really nice way to show how the nurse (Alexandra Heath) is treating Chise. She comes off very personable and responsive, but at the end of the day she is an employee of the college and will act as one. It works even better considering the fact that Alexandra doesn't have regular human eyes, so the emotion ends up conveyed through scenes like this one.
Then there's stuff like this scene with Elias, putting his hand to his chest where we can't see his face. Elias is another prime candidate for Kazuki's direction since he doesn't have any facial expressions. Regardless, this simple action allows the episode to express the feeling of unease Elias has, and how scared he is despite not being able to really express it in words.
And there's even scenes that speak to the obvious, like this one. Starting on Chise's left eye, it draws the viewer towards the talking point that Elizabeth makes.
Okay okay, one last example because I love it. This one is really incredible because, it's both a literal and figurative reflection of Chisa. She's getting cold feet meeting her roommate, of all things. Why would that be? Well, the episode answers in kind, explaining that Chise's had a very hard time with friends and school. So, the reflection of herself that is starting back at her is the materialization of those glares and stares she got when she was a child, the very thing she fears in meeting her roommate.
I think that about explains Kazuki's choice in direction, and I'd say it's one I'm already very comfortable with. The expression of emotions, and the challenge of doing so (particularly with Chise and Elias) is exactly the crux and driving force of MahoYome. Latching onto it and making the most of it is certainly something I'm happy to see, as it shows just how well the source material is understood.
Now, this might come as a surprise, but I've only read up until the end of the first season in the manga, so season 2 is all new material to me. Because of that, there's so much I'm learning and picking up about it already.
Firstly, I'm really loving the sort of reset button we've got going on with Chise. It's hard to continually amp a story up and up, so opting to circle back to what is usually seen as a beginning is really nice, especially given Chise's mental and emotional state now. She wants more, she wants to make friends and be happy, she wants to become more selfish.
This first episode really sells that sentiment quite well, as she's able to do things like talk with Alexandra about some of the side effects and issues she faces with being a Sleigh Beggy, and cursed by two different entities.
Both Chise and Elias have come a far way from where they stood in season 1, and the story does a great job of expressing that. Rather than jealousy that someone else is spending time with Chise, or taking her away from him, Elias is scared of losing Chise. It's a small difference going from jealousy to fear, but it speaks to the great bounds of emotional development that Elias has gone through to arrive here. I certainly wouldn't call it more complex, but I would say that it's a far more mature response on his part, serving as a great opposition to Chise's more childlike nature appearing.
It's interesting, Elias is progressing with their emotional state, while Chise is attempting to regress somewhat, though building from nothing is easier than rebuilding from something. The two stories together create a really great dichotomy though, so I'm looking forward to seeing how things go as Chise begins to associate and relate to more people around her age.
And I think the last little thing I'll settle on is the world. I love the world of MahoYome, it's incredibly rich with magic, but has more than its share of dangers. It's both wide and deep, so you never know when you might fall off an edge and be reminded of the nature of magic in this series. Even take something as simple as the dorm matrons (who are cats). Whimsical and cute for sure, but they provide moments and dialogue that speak against that superficial nature (much like other magical entities have before). It really adds a unique air to the appeal of the world.
So that's the first episode of MahoYome, not quite the first season, but far from a fall from grace. There's still lots of undecided aspects and pieces to the series, but this first episode does well to strike at the heart of MahoYome while providing a different approach to it.

Busting Common Skincare Myths: What Truly Works and What Doesn't
In the pursuit of radiant and flawless skin, it's easy to get lost in a maze of skincare myths and misconceptions. From homemade remedies to supposed miracle products, the beauty industry can sometimes leave us bewildered. Let's dive into some prevalent skincare myths, setting the record straight on what's effective and what's not.
Myth: The More, the Merrier
Reality: Layering multiple products may seem enticing, but quality trumps quantity. Overloading your skin can lead to irritation and clogged pores. A personalized routine catering to your skin type - including a cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen, and targeted treatment if necessary - is the way to go.
Myth: Natural Means Safe
Reality: Just because something is labeled "natural" doesn't guarantee it's safe for all skin types. Allergies and reactions can still occur. It's crucial to read labels, patch-test, and consult a dermatologist before incorporating new products.
Myth: Pores Open and Close
Reality: You might have heard that steam opens pores while cold water closes them. In truth, pores lack muscles, so they can't change shape. Steam can temporarily soften debris, but a solid cleansing routine and exfoliation work better for maintaining clear pores.
Myth: Oily Skin Rejects Moisturizers
Reality: Hydration benefits all skin types, including oily ones. Skipping moisturizer can lead to increased oil production. Opt for a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer to maintain balance without causing breakouts.
Myth: Sunscreen Is for Sunny Days Only
Reality: Sunscreen is a must, no matter the weather. Harmful UV rays are present even on cloudy days and can penetrate windows. Consistent broad-spectrum sunscreen application safeguards your skin from premature aging and damage.
Best sunscreens EVER:
La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-in Milk Body & Face Sunscreen
LIVE TINTED Hueguard Invisible Sunscreen Stick SPF 50
Neutrogena Invisible Daily Defense Face Sunscreen + Hydrating Serum with Broad Spectrum SPF 60+
Myth: Exfoliating Daily for Perfection
Reality: Exfoliation aids in cell turnover, but excess can cause irritation. 2-3 times a week with a gentle exfoliant is sufficient for a smoother complexion without harming your skin's barrier.
Amazing Facial Exfoliants:
Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant - Exfoliator Facial Scrub Powder
TULA Skin Care So Poreless Exfoliating Blackhead Scrub
M-61 PowerGlow® Peel- 30 Treatments
Myth: Moisturizers and Oils Aggravate Acne
Reality: Acne-prone skin thrives with hydration. Seek non-comedogenic, oil-free options. Some oils, like jojoba or rosehip, can even regulate sebum and enhance skin appearance.
Moisturizers I personally love:
Paula’s Choice C5 Super Boost Moisturizer with 5% Vitamin C
e.l.f. SKIN Holy Hydration!
CeraVe Moisturizing Cream | Body and Face
TATCHA The Dewy Skin Cream
In conclusion, navigating through the world of skincare requires discerning fact from fiction. An informed approach, coupled with a streamlined routine, is the key to glowing skin. When in doubt, a dermatologist's guidance can be invaluable on your skincare journey. Remember, debunking skincare myths is an essential stride towards achieving your skin's best version.
