A random thought, during the Mr. Qi's Crop Challenge (you know the one were you have to plant and shipped 500 Qi Beans) how will the SDV/SVE Bachelors gonna react to their lover (the Farmer) planting this weird looking crop that looks like a blueberry with sunglasses across the farm fields. 😂

Ah, Qi beans... Probably my least favourite quest, because spending a whole month growing this stuff, and also getting these fucking beans instead of cool gifts in chests or fish.... Ugh. Oh well, sorry for that 😅

Even though this fruit is annoying to me, the ask itself regarding the reactions of others to it is pretty funny, hee hee. Thanks for the ask, and enjoy! 🫰💖

SDV/SVE bachelors react to the Qi fruit:

"Looks creepy..... And cool, by the way. What did you do to make them grow like that?" Sebastian's spouse is a virtuoso at growing all sorts of unusual crops, and he thinks it's a mega cool ability. Just a week ago they ate a salad made from an 'ancient fruit', and the day before yesterday they cut up a giant mushroom crop that was the size of a large pumpkin (even though Sebby's doesn't like shrooms, it was still cool!). Now it's the weird fruit with sunglasses. He wonder what unusual plant Farmer will grow tomorrow...

"Oh, I know! Are those fruits and vegetables that grow in different shapes?" Sam recently watched a video about gardeners who grow square watermelons or tomatoes in the shape of hearts using plastic moulds. So the guitarist reckoned his spouse had decided to join the trend too. A strange choice, yeah, but hey - bonus for cool sunglasses! And what does this 'Qi' fruit taste like? Looks like a giant blue melon, Sammy wouldn't mind a tasty snack. Anyway, he doesn't know much about gardening himself, so he'll leave that to Farmer.

"Did you buy sunglasses for every fruit you grow or what?" And tell us, dear Alex - why would your beloved Farmer do that? These things maybe look like sunglasses, but are hardly sunglasses. But who knows? It's definitely an unfamiliar fruit for an athlete, especially compared to what his grandmother Evelyn used to grow in the community garden all the time. But if it's edible and full of vitamins (no), then Alex doesn't really care about the look of the Qi fruit. "Hey, even if this tastes awful, we'll have plenty of pairs of sunglasses!"

"That's some ugly ass fruit right here. Do people really eat that stuff now?" Truth be told, while working at JojaMart, Shane had managed to see stranger products labelled as 'novelty'. This applied not only to obscure sauces and snacks of dubious origin, but also to fruits and vegetables. The blue colour of the "Qi" fruit Farmer grew generally gave Shane the idea that his spouse had purchased the seeds just from Joja.co. It looked strange, but Shane didn't even mind tasting it. If it's edible at all. This fruit certainly doesn't get any worse than Joja's 'special' sauce for nachos, of that he's sure.

"Honey, are you sure it's safe to eat?" Every time another crop of obscure origin ripens on the farm, Harvey's heart begins to pound with worry. What if it's poisonous? What if it's not handled properly and you could get food poisoning? Why is it such a strange shape? "Farmer, please..." The poor doctor goes through all the books on vegetables, fruits and berries, hoping to find some information about this Qi fruit and whether it's okay to eat it (spoiler - to no avail). Either it's another "healthy" product from Joja or something else. Either way, Harvey will be sceptical, to say the least.

"...If I understand correctly, my soul, this is our dinner for today?" Elliott could have sworn the fruit had just winked at him! The writer had heard that some farmers and gardeners deliberately grow their crops in a variety of shapes to make them look extravagant and sell them for more money, but... Of all the shapes, his spouse chose the face... But maybe that's the kind of crop that's in high demand on market right now. Elliott hoped that if they were to bake strudel with this 'Qi' fruit today, it would taste better than it looked. Also... sunglasses?

"Hmm, I wonder... Where exactly did you get those seeds, my love?" It is not appropriate for Lance to judge the strange crop that Farmer has grown, when the adventurer himself has a monster crop ripening in a corner on the farm, with an appearance similar to a huge eyeball. Nevertheless, this strange fruit arouses a share of suspicion in the pink-haired man. Something is not right here.... If his dear spouse doesn't mind, Lance would also like to take a look at this fruit, for he is very curious to know if this crop has any magical properties. Or anything that might threaten him or Farmer.

"This... thing is unnatural. What in the name of all spirits did you grow this abomination from?" Magnus's whole gut screams that this is not just a fruit, but the spawn of a dangerous mage or witch. Thin threads of dark magic emanate from this fruit, and the wizard certainly doesn't like Farmer being in contact with that magic. "Eat it? Absolutely not! And is it even edible?" A worried Magnus questions his spouse about who gave them these seeds and why. Hearing the name 'Qi', he sighs heavily. Mr. Qi. Of course... This name definitely promises a lot of chaos for everyone.

"Erm... That's wonderful, darling! You've managed to grow this, um... What's it called again?" Victor had spent two whole days in the town library and looked all sorts of books at home - not a single mention, about this mysterious 'Qi fruit'. It's not, to tell the truth, the strangest thing Farmer grew in their fertile fields (monster crops will always be at the top of the list for strangeness. Especially the one with the giant eyeball). Maybe it's some new fruit his spouse has discovered? Victor is sure the Farmer knows what they're doing. But yeah, he's supportive.

Haley: Has the most complicated family tree and drama like the Kardashians. Theres like generations of drama and lore and she solely plays when online shopping gets boring, this is the only videogaming she does, and she has a ton of mods and custom content.

Maru: I have a personal head cannon that Demetrius didn't Maru play videogames, but she probably watched Sebastian play and she wanted too so bad. She'd do things like the 100-baby challenge or not so berry and have so much fun

Penny: She played on an old computer in the museum and made sims of the people in her life, no drama no fuss, she made sims of her and Sam just to see what their kids would look like and then spent the whole day blushing after making her sims woohoo

Leah: I don't see her as a gamer but if she did play, she'd be a builder. She just builds really nice houses and never plays the actual game.

Emily: She's in create a sim 24/7 making actually pretty good-looking people and then Haley takes over and makes the drama happen, Emily doesn't know about that part though.

Sam, Abigail, and Sebastian: They all played together since they were kids and so I grouped them together. they absolutely tortured these sims. Everything from drowning them, locking them in basements, to setting fires, they've found all the ways to kill a sim and then some. they get excited when a new death type comes out and that's why they have all the packs on Seb's computer.

Alex: similar to Penny He also did the whole thing of making his life in the sims, but he did it mostly to see what it would be like to have his mom alive and have a good childhood, he's slightly less of a prude when it came to woohoo but stopped playing when his sim started autonomously flirting with a guy

Shane: Not a gamer, but played with Jas and was scared for life after watching how cheerfully brutal Jas could be to these virtual barbies.

Elliot: I also don't think he'd play (I don't think he knows how to work a computer) but if he did, I think he'd be making his Novels in the game. Sims with complex backgrounds and family ties that he puts into the worst situations only to have them be happy in the end and then he makes a new save.

Harvey: The game is his stress relief, and he has a happy little family with the least amount of drama, he doesn't play with create a sim though, so all his sims look kind bad but he's having fun.

God sims4 packs are expensive.... ;-;

I deleted A LOT of my old posts so I had to DIG. First picture is from my first ever legacy the Schipano Legacy. I know I started posting on this blog in February 2014, but I believe this screenshot is from late 2013? I was lurking on simblr from my superwholock blog (no, not kidding) starting in 2013 but at the time I was really intimidated (lol I KNOW) because everyone had these poses and custom hairs and elaborate soap opera story lines. So I prepped for months to come up with the perfect legacy backstory LMAO. That toddler - Starr Schipano - was an orphan raised by her grandfather and ended up in a love triangle with the generic white boy next store and her adopted cousin??? It was 2013 okay idk.

First berry sweet sims were the mango perfect genetics challenge which I believe I started posting in summer 2014? I even did my first bachelor challenge and only completed bachelor challenge with gen 2 of that legacy. This was the founder Margot Mango and her son ... Remy? apparently I was in a french phase lol

First time ever playing the sims 4 was when I started my pancakes legacy in October 2015 (literally 8 years ago HOW). But I still didn't like the sims 4 so that quickly led to me creating John Waffles, founder of the Waffles Lepacy in November 2015.

Lastly, generation 1 of the Normal Lepacy (when I was neck deep in my cut out phase) which was February 2021. The Normals are my both my chaos and my comfort save. Funny story the other day my partner saw me editing my new family tree the other day and asked me "wait, you're still playing with the family of the guy with the weird name who looked like John Oliver???" and then we went through every heir to see who he remembered (honestly a surprising amount lol)

I've done it. I've achieved perfection in Stardew Valley. There is (almost) nothing left for me to do in this game, other than wait for the new content in the upcoming 1.6 update. It's pretty surreal, and to commemorate I will be posting all of the fun stuff regarding this farm!

I reached the bottom of the Mine and the Dangerous Mine, and the lowest I got in the Skull Cavern was floor 115.

I befriended every single Pelican Town resident; getting all the bachelors and bachelorettes to 8 hearts, and the remaining residents to 10 hearts. I also saw every single Heart Event, minus every Marriage Candidate's 10 and 14 Heart events not including Sebastian, Sam's 3 Heart which you can only get in Year 1 which I apparently missed, and Clint's 6 Heart which I think you can only get if you haven't seen a certain Emily event, which I must have seen.

I've cooked all 80 recipes.

I've crafted all 129 items.

I've caught all 67 fish.

I've shipped all 145 basic items, shipping the most Cranberries at 12,215 individual berries sold.

I've donated every item to the museum.

I've completed the Community Center.

I've gotten every Golden Walnut.

I've gotten every Obelisk and the Golden Clock.

I've beaten Junimo Kart on Progress Mode, and placed the arcade machine in my house. I've also gotten 50,000 points in Endless Mode, surpassing Lewis's record and completing the associated Qi Quest.

I've beaten Journey Of The Prairie King, placed the arcade machine in my house, and gotten the achievement Fector's Challenge for completing it without dying. Granted, I cheesed this by save scumming, but I still did it by legitimate means.

And I think that's basically everything notable! I'm super thrilled to have actually fully completed this game.

Hi! I saw you mention you were about to start a sims challenge - do you have any favorite challenges you’ve done? I’m hunting for a new one.

Hiiiiii!! My favorites I've ever done are the Not So Berry legacy and then also I really really liked the Foregotten Realms D&D one.

I also very much enjoyed the Career Legacy, the Decades Challenge, and the Black Widow Challenge. Also not technically a challenge but what I literally always do when bored: Download a lot of chemistry/romance mods and have a Love Island moment. Or Bachelor(ette) moment.

The Challenge I was talking about is the massive Joy Of Life Challenge, and another new one that I haven't played but was intrigues by was Whimsy Stories.

Also if you're looking for a way to explore every aspect of the game, there's always the Barbie challenge: make a Barbie sim and then have her max every single skill and career!

hello and happy new year

Sorry it wasn't right on new year's it been busy last few days for me, I am excited to start the new year with you all, many of you might wonder where I am going with my simblr or if I'll still been apart of it yes I will still however it will at this current time still my legacy gameplays like my Not So Berry as I'm still getting to where I was however I may well just change the founder of yellow to suit the requirements, which mainly fits male, I feel the last one I had was female which kind of was a little obstacle, since females don't get pregnant by aliens I forgotten x.x trust me I tried several times before I achieve Uriel being alien, I unfortunately had to cheat his alienness x.x and there was no way to adjust the settings that female can have alien baby, x.x , which bothered me a bit x.x so that generation will have changes when I arrive back to it, and I'm also trying to work with Midnight Sun, Legacy but i had been feeling I might scrap one of the legacies but at this current time its not the idea, I did have some inspo but not sure how it will work if i were to do stories again, was leaning towards first time in a big city and explorieing what it have for offers kinda like how i was in Melbourne, it be nice to have something based around a similar experience, as for me there was so much I wanted explore but not enough days and time, but its something I've had in my thoughts, I also did consider doing Bachelor/Bachelorette challenges with some old characters but I am only a small simblr, so I don't have the connections or not sure if anyone would be interested in sending a sim to me to participate in the challenge Like I did with my very first one on my old tumblr @lilacleni

NSB (Straud Legacy) Gen 8 Ep. 163: Let's Get Together

In between making the rounds with his cousin’s new kids, Peachy also stopped by his old friend and new second in command’s place to talk “business”.

Fabian and his girlfriend had a boy about Luigi’s age, and so the families had a picnic lunch together. There was a little talking shop, but mostly they enjoyed chatting in the warm Strangerville sun about the tiny adventures of their favorite tiny people.

The art expert came to visit and lent his expertise to redecorating Chance’s old room upstairs. That would soon serve as Luigi’s own big boy bedroom, and everyone pitched in to make sure it was vibrant and fantastically unique. With their recent and upcoming trips to Sulani on their mind a beautiful underwater themed mural soon bloomed across the walls. Jack almost felt he could cast his line into the picture to hook their fishy friends.

Since Luigi’s birth Jack’s relationship with ancestral spirit Storm had grown into a true friendship.

He came around quite frequently, bonding with Jack over their shared love of sports and the latest grandbaby Storm felt lucky to help raise.

Jack knew his time in the mortal realm would all too soon be coming to an end, and learned as much as he could from Storm about life on the other side. It was comforting to hear about the family ghosts’ active afterlives, and even Storm’s own 2nd chance love story with his husband Xander.

In this family, it seemed, death didn’t have the same finality Jack was used to.

On Spooky Day Luigi was feeling under the weather but didn’t want to miss out on being a monster for a day. In an effort to make their sad little man feel better Papa and Dada got him all dressed up and invited over his favorite servo Tess, who had no need to worry about getting sick.

Chance tagged along and the three men caught up in the kitchen while Luigi excitedly filled his metal friend in on all his latest adventures as they played.

Chance was glad to see the boys doing so well after the trouble on Jack’s birthday. Jack confirmed things were very much back to good, thanking Chance for his comforting words that day and for always being so supportive of a choice that it was often hard for sims in their family to understand.

Days spent as a trio were wonderful but sometimes it was just as much fun to spend time with friends and family, catching up, swapping stories, and enriching each others lives by being together.

Peachy had never known anything other than this big, active family, but Jack could definitely appreciate how fortunate they were to have everyone in their lives.

Bevo Francis Award Watch List of 100 Players

2025 Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List Released

Kansas City, MO – The National Awards Committee and Small College Basketball are happy to announce the Bevo Francis Top 100 Watch List for the 2024-25 season. Three months into the season, this year’s list is made up of some of the best players from NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, USCAA, and NCCAA.

John McCarthy had this to say about this years Top 100 list: "Congratulations to all 100 players that are on the Bevo Francis Award Watch List of 100 Players,” stated McCarthy. “This is a remarkable accomplishment to be listed as one of only 100 out of approximately 13,000-16,000 players that compete at the NCAA DII, NCAA DIII, NAIA and NCCAA levels. I want to emphasize that, while this is ultimately an individual award, we focused on team success as an important criteria for this list, and for this award.”

The Clarence “Bevo” Francis Award is presented annually to the player who has had the finest overall season within Small College Basketball. Considerations will be season statistics and individual achievements, awards, personal character and team achievements. This is an incredibly prestgious award, as this award will only be given to one player within Small College Basketball per season.

2025 marks the eighth year of the Bevo Francis Award. Past winners include Dominez Burnett of Davenport University in 2016, Justin Pitts of Northwest Missouri State University in 2017, Emanuel Terry of Lincoln Memorial University in 2018, Aston Francis of Wheaton College in 2019, Kyle Mangas of Indiana Wesleyan University in 2020 and Trevor Hudgins of Northwest Missouri State University in 2022. In 2023, RJ Sunahara of Nova Southeastern was named the winner, while in 2024 Elijah Malone of Grace College received the honor. The award was not presented during the 2021 season.

John McCarthy added this about the Bevo Francis Award: “This is a very challenging, difficult, and somewhat agonizing process, and I truly appreciate a great amount of insight and information from our National Awards Committee,” mentioned McCarthy. “Once again, congratulations to each and every player on this list. What an honor! Importantly, I greatly appreciate the University of Rio Grande for their continued support of the Bevo Francis Award, as they have been supporting this award since inception during the 2015-16 season. We are truly grateful."

On February 15th, the list will be reduced to the Top 50 players. One month later on March 15th, the Top 25 players will be announced. On April 5th, the finalists of this year’s award will be announced, followed by the Bevo Francis Award winner being crowned on April 7th.

i've been playing the not so berry challenge for the sims 3 lately and i am absolutely obsessed with my sim. i've decided to do a few things that i don't usually do for this challenge including using the alphabetical naming system (so like each baby still has the themed name of the next generation but has to start with a certain letter. her first baby for rose gen is azalea and she's currently pregnant with her second who will either be begonia or bachelor [for bachelor's button] depending on the sex of the baby) and using no legacy name. i have my last names on coin-flip so i'm just going with whatever the game decides to give me. i'm pretty sure it only does hyphenated on this mode, which i'm not that thankful for, but i don't know how to randomize which last name they get outside of that.

Please don’t use colors I’ve played in this legacy so far. This means no white, pink, yellow or orange. Every other shade of every other color is free game! (Perhaps some cool colors to change things up? Warm colors like red, salmon, peach, etc. of course are all still allowed - just none of the colors I’ve played!)
