However, he was not a good man and even that little shred of selfless joy was being drowned out by a more jealous, lonely beast rising up in his chest. "Researchers in southern Manitoba have made the rare discovery of what may be a complete fossilized skeleton belonging to a roughly 83-million-year-old marine reptile. Excavations are still ongoing, but scientists have uncovered roughly 75 per cent of a mosasaur skeleton near the small community of Miami, Man., about 110 kilometres southwest of Winnipeg. Finding such an intact skeleton is rare, according to Adolfo Cuetara, the executive director of the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre in Morden, about 20 kilometres southeast of Miami. "Normally you're only finding isolated bones, but this time it looks like we have a whole skeleton," he said in an interview with Radio-Canada on Monday. In early July, a technician with the centre found a small bone while digging with a tractor on a plot of land that used to be a bentonite mine, and which the Morden organization purchased in 2004. Finding small bones isn't unusual, Cuetara said, but using hand tools, that technician soon realized that the bone was not an isolated discovery. Over the next several days, the team found 15 vertebrae, all from the same marine reptile, Cuetara said."

A traveling Christmas

In Morgan's year in Bentonite, their Christmas there, I think around that time would be during a voyage that they took with Silvio.

The crew were all sorts of misfits, unloved at home half the time, so their bond with Silvio as their captain (nicknamed 'Captain King of Misfits'/'Captain King') so traveling on the holidays were no biggie for any of them. The crew was their family.

Christmas was their last day on the sea before making it to their destination.

So, on the day of, there was a big gift exchange, everyone was included in it. Including Morgan and Silvio.

Morgan, being relatively new, didn't really expect anything. But they had already naturally given many gifts and even brought some of their baking that would be able to last their trip.

Silvio directly told the crew not to waste money on him. He gets so much shit already from business partners and those wanting his favor. He made sure to gift them all something that he heard that they needed, extra money, or something that he knew they would like.

So the crew gave the two a date night. They called it a dinner for them. But they knew, Silvio knew, Morgan, however, was very dence about it, though.

It was a lovely evening with a nervous Silvio, excited crew, and a happy Morgan.

a list of positive habits to develop:

positive affirmations before you go to sleep and when you wake up (in your mind or out loud)

daily meditation (there are different ways to meditate, and it doesn’t always have to be the same amount of time, it can even be short and then maybe built up)

keep a gratitude jar, write something that you’re grateful for on a peace of paper and put it in the jar (can be daily or whenever)

skincare (examples: washing your face 1-2 times daily, exfoliating 1-2 times a week, using natural things for your skin like applying an avocado mask or rubbing the inside of a banana peel on your face, trying to stick to organic/natural skincare products, using products that don’t have fragrance or silicone or a ton of ingredients, charcoal soap and/or face mask, you can try using a mud/clay mask — like bentonite clay, etc. I also suggest an underarm detoxing mask/cleanse — you can apply activated charcoal powder mixed with a little bit of water, or you can rub lemon on washed underarms, let it sit there for a bit, and then rinse or wash it off)

remember to drink around the amount of water that’s healthy *for you* (so many people who post online say “drink more water!”, “drink a lot of water!” without even knowing readers/viewers personally or their situations, their health, how much they’re already drinking, how much they actually need to drink, etc. some people might not even need to “drink more water”. do what’s healthy for you, drink the amount of water that’s healthy for you — if you’re not sure, maybe do a bit of research/calculations and talk to a practitioner about it)

I knew I would take a final plunge into the undercurrent of the current state of my body if I downloaded this app again, and here I am. Perhaps self sabotage, but as per usual I don’t care.

Today all I ate was a 45 calorie piece of whole grain bread and an avocado so I could have avo toast after fasting for 24. The avocado was quite small and I love knowing that even though it’s hella fatty, it’s good for my hair and skin. Don’t exactly want my hair to start falling out again. I did have some coffee at work but I can’t bring myself to count that. I may or may not eat some seaweed in awhile but I’ve been scrolling through here and I think perhaps I may abstain, as I’ve triggered myself relentlessly.

I did manage to do a bentonite clay mask and sing in the bath for awhile till my phone died. The hollow feeling of my vocal chords being used is freeing and reminds me of the feeling of being light in the body, but I think that just my soul feels light because looking down at my body in the bathtub while I sing is a heavy reminder that I am not in fact light. Closing the peepers helps me when I sing like that. Helps me focus on my note, pitch, and widening my range.

I turn 25 next month and it’s insane to me that Ana is still with me. Granted she has been muted for quite a while but she always catches up. Swift one she is, moves like a panther through the Amazon, stalking a wild boar. I am the bore in this scene, obviously.

But I digress. 25 and after more than a decade of this fight (despite the know how and the resources to keep my recovery up) I still am trapped in a relentless cycle. Hopefully this time I can lower myself gently into the grave, so to speak. Again, I like my hair and don’t want it to fall out. It’s grown just past my butt and I intend to keep it in all its glory.

I live in the south now, far away from Seattle like I’d hoped but I made a 9 month pit stop in Idaho. Again. Managed to escape before the snow fell in December. Thank god the snow was late last year, it would have severely impacted my ability to make an escape.

I also managed to leave with most of my heart intact and a shiny new car to boot. Not AS nice as my BMW I had in Seattle, but my SUV suits me and is still a luxury car, just not a BMW. Drove her 2000 miles here and she did amazing, plus pretty much all my important stuff fit in her.
