Allah is calling YOU – Everything you need to know about Tahajjud!

“And from [part of] the night, pray with it as additional [worship] for you; it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station.” [Quran, 17: 79]
Benefits of Tahajjud (The Night Prayer):
· By praying tahajjud, you are following the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) which he never used to miss.
· It is a way of getting your Dua answered
· Praying it will bring light to your face and soul
· It helps you fight and control your desires
· It is a way of getting your sins forgiven
· Praying it makes you closer to Allah
· It softens the heart and humbles you in front of Allah
· It builds the love of the Hereafter in your heart
· It strengthens the Quran that you have memorised
Praying tahajjud has amazing benefits that cannot be ignored: it is a means of avoiding the punishment of Hell and attaining Jannah, and we should understand the great blessings it brings of conversing with our Lord. In Surat Al-Furqan from verse 64-76, we learn that praying tahajjud is a means of avoiding hell.
Allah Most High said, “Establish worship at the going down of the sun until the dark of the night, and (the recital of) the Qur’an at dawn. Lo! (the recital of) the Qur’an at dawn is ever witnessed. And some part of the night awake for its recital, as voluntary worship for you. It may be that your Lord will raise you to a praised estate.” [Qur’an, 17: 78-79]
Abu Hurairah (Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “The best prayer after the obligatory prayers is the night prayer.” [Muslim]
And he said: “You should pray qiyaam al-layl, for it is the custom of the righteous who came before you and it brings you closer to your Lord, and expiates sins and prevents misdeeds.”
{Narrated by al-Tirmidhi}
Night prayer is harder on the lower self (nafs), because night is a time of rest from the tire of the day, so leaving sleep despite the nafs desiring it is a tremendous struggle. Some have said: ‘The best of works are those the lower self is forced to perform.’
Allah has praised those who wake up at night for His remembrance, supplication, and to seek forgiveness and beg Him, saying, ‘They forsake their beds to cry unto their Lord in fear and hope, and spend of what We have bestowed on them. No soul knows what is kept hid from them of joy, as a reward for what they used to do.’ [Qur’an, 32: 16-17]
Night time is the best of times for voluntary worship and prayer, and the closest a servant is to his Lord. It is a time when the doors of the sky are opened, supplications answered, and the needs of those who ask fulfilled.
Reported By Abu Hurayrah: The Messenger of Allah(saw) said:”Our LORD descends to the lowest heaven during the Last Third of The Night, inquiring, “Who will call on ME so that I may Respond to Him? Who is asking something of ME so I may Give it to him?,Who is Asking for MY FORGIVENESS so I may FORGIVE HIM..”
Timing Of This Salah
Tahajjud prayer is implemented in the final third of a night after waking up from one`s sleep.
How to pray Tahajjud
Tahajjud prayer should be prayed in 2. So 2 rakaat per prayer. Its recommended amount is 8 rakaat, because this was the general practice of the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). The minimum is 2 rakaat.
Tahajjud prayer is prayed like any normal prayer: surat Al-Fatiha is read first then any other surah. But in tahajjud prayer you can make any dua you want in sujood, whereas in the 5 obligatory prayer you can only say a dua that is from the quran in sujood.
If you want to start praying tahajjud, then start off slowly. The first time wake up 5-10 minutes before fajr and pray 1 prayer of tahajjud. Then slowly increase the amount and wake up earlier and earlier as this will be easier for you and you will get used to it by slowly transitioning and increasing the number of rakaat and waking up earlier. Even if you start by performing it once or twice a week that is fine and slowly increase it. In Sha Allah.
The Messenger (PBUH) has regarded this Salah as a great source of getting rid of satanic influence and attainment of almost all kinds of just desires and aspirations.
Narrated by Uqba ibn Amir (R.A):
“When one, out of two persons of my Ummah gets up at night and motivates himself for Wudhu despite not feeling to do so since, Shaytaan had tied knots on him. When he washes his two hands in Wudhu, one knot is loosened, when he washes his face, another knot is loosened when he wipes his head with wet hands another knot is loosened, when he washes his feet yet another knot is loosened. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala says to those behind the veil- His angels: “Look at My slaves! How much hardship he is enduring in dealing with his Nafs (inner self), so now whatever this slave asks of Me, it will be granted to him.” (Ahmad)
How to Wake Up for Tahajjud
· Sleep early: I know this one is a cliché. But it truly does make a huge difference when you sleep early because it is then much easier to wake up for tahajjud. Even if you sleep late, you may still be able to get up for tahajjud but you will be extremely sleepy and tired and this will cause you to have a lack of concentration in your salaah and you will be rushing your salaah so you can quickly hop back in bed. When you sleep early and wake up for tahajjud, you will wake up feeling fresh and alert! Try your best to plan your night time routine and be in bed by a specific time.
· Sincere intention: I personally think that this is the most important step in waking up for tahajjud. Because sometimes when you have made a true and sincere intention, you will wake up just before your alarm on your own SubhanAllah. Make a sincere intention that you will wake up for tahajjud. Don’t just hope that you will wake up or think to yourself that it will be nice if you wake up. No. Actually tell yourself “I will wake up for tahajjud” and then take precautionary measures. Because even if you put an alarm and sleep early but do not have a sincere intention, I guarantee that you will turn that alarm right off and go back to sleep. If there is one bit of doubt or unwillingness in your intention then you will not get up. Keep in mind that if you make an intention to wake up for tahajjud but don’t by accident, you will still get the rewards as if you have prayed it.
· Know the importance/virtues/benefits of Tahajjud: This is extremely important in my opinion too. Because learning about the importance, benefits and virtues will motivate you to get up for tahajjud once you know how rewarding it is and the benefits. Search about it or ask someone knowledgeable to tell you about it and it will definitely motivate you to wake up.
· Wudhu before sleeping: Ibn Abbas reported that Allah’s Messenger said: ‘Purify these bodies and Allah will purify you, for there is no slave who goes to sleep in a state of purity but an Angel spends the night with him, and every time he turns over, the Angel says: ‘O Allah! Forgive Your Slave, for he went to bed in a state of purity.”
· 1.5 hours sleep rule: There is a theory in sleep science that states that every human being completes an entire sleep cycle in 1.5 hours, therefore, try to wake up at the end of multiple 1.5 hours (e.g. 1.5 hours or 3 hours or 4.5 hours and so on), you will wake up fresh, alert and rejuvenated. If for example you sleep at 12 am, set your alarm at 4:30 am because you would have slept for 4.5 hours, although each person is different depending on how long it takes to fall asleep so calculate it depending on your sleep!
· Reading Surat Al-Ikhlaas: Recite Surah Al-Ikhlaas 3 times before sleeping and make a sincere intention to wake up for tahajjud and intend on a time that you wish to wake up within.
· Put an alarm: Obviously putting an alarm in extremely important. Put multiple alarms, not just one and put the volume really loud. You can also place your alarm far away from you so that you actually have to get up to turn if off.
· Last verse of surat al kahf: Read the last verse of Surat Al-Kahf and make an intention to wake up for Fajr.
· Dua: Constantly make dua to Allah swt to make it easy for you and give you the strength to get up for tahajjud easily.
· Start this habit in Ramadan: Since we all are extra motivated in Ramadan and feel that our Imaan is sky high, try start waking up for tahajjud in Ramadan and try pray it as much as possible so you can continue the habit after Ramadan ends InshaAllah.
We should try our utmost best to pray tahajjud as much as we can and make it a habit for it is one of the best ways to get closer to Allah and gain high ranks in the hereafter as well as a way of getting your dua to be accepted. Once you begin praying tahajjud, trust me, you will never want to stop praying it and the feeling you will get after praying it is a feeling you cannot put in words. You will feel a heightened sense of satisfaction, achievement and contentment. Just waking up while everyone else is sleeping and while everything is so silent around you gives you a sense of peace and alone time with your Lord. There is no one around you to watch you pour your heart out to Allah and there is no one watching you cry. I cannot really put in words the feeling you get after praying tahajjud. You just have to pray it to experience it. Let me be honest here: on some days where your imaan has dropped a little, it will be harder to wake up for tahajjud. BUT do not let that let you down and find ways to motivate yourself and find ways of increasing your imaan and know that everyone experiences a fluctuation of imaan in their life and you are not the only one.
Keep in mind the first step to waking up to tahajjud is first start waking up for fajr (if you don’t already) and if you struggle to get up for tahajjud after some sleep, then pray Qiyam Al-Layl which is when you pray before going to sleep after Isha. Keep trying and do not give up in the Mercy and help of Allah.
It is important to know that waking up for fajr and tahajjud is a blessing from Allah and it only occurs by His permission. Therefore, when using the advice, I have given to wake up for tahajjud, keep in mind you are only taking the means, but your hops and heart should be constantly connected to Allah who has the ability to wake you up. Pray that you wake up early and worship Him, ask help from Him.
The ultimate advice I will give is to try and not to give up. I pray that Allah makes it easy for all of us and allows us to wake up for tahajjud with ease. Ameen.
One last thing, I read this somewhere and found it absolutely beautiful:
The person who wants to pray qiyaam al-layl should realize that Allaah is calling him to qiyaam. When the slave realizes that his Master, Who has no need of people’s worship, is calling him to do this, he will respond. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “O you wrapped in your garments (i.e., Prophet Muhammad)! Stand (to pray) all night, except a little. Half of it, or a little less than that, or a little more; and recite the Qur’aan (aloud) in a slow, (pleasant tone and) style.” [al-Muzzammil 73:1-4].

I've seen Muslims killing innocent people, doing suicide bombings, doing fraud and deceiving people in real life, let alone instagram. Is this what Islam is all about?
Don't you know all the Muslim worship certain graves? Are not you aware of it?
And what's wrong in calling Ali r.a for help?
Islam is free of filth. What muslims do of sins and misguidances is due to their personal error and Islam is not to be blamed for that but they themselves.
All muslims worship certain graves? You certainly are either raised and living in the middle of grave worshippers or you have taken only the wrong information about this religion.
Islam is the religion of monotheism, we worship only one God, the answer to your question what’s wrong in asking Ali for help is recited by us at least 17 times a day,
You ˹alone˺ we worship and You ˹alone˺ we ask for help. [Surah Fatiha:5]
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Prophet ﷺ said, “Supplication is the essence of worship.”
Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3371, Hasan
———————
Do they associate ˹with Allah˺ those ˹idols˺ which cannot create anything, but are in fact created;
which cannot help them, or even help themselves?
And if you ˹idolaters˺ call upon them for guidance, they cannot respond to you. It is all the same whether you call them or remain silent.
Those ˹idols˺ you invoke besides Allah are created beings like yourselves. So call upon them and see if they will answer you, if your claims are true!
[Al A’raaf 7:191:-194]
They worship besides Allah others who can neither harm nor benefit them, and say, “These are our intercessors with Allah.” Ask ˹them, O Prophet˺, “Are you informing Allah of something He does not know in the heavens or the earth? Glorified and Exalted is He above what they associate ˹with Him˺!”
[Yunus 10:18]
Whoever invokes, besides Allah, another god—for which they can have no proof—they will surely find their penalty with their Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will never succeed.
[Al Mu’minoon 23:117]

Studying Quranic Arabic: A Path to Understanding the Divine Message
The Quran is the final revelation from Allah, sent as guidance for all of humanity. While reciting the Quran is a noble act, truly comprehending its message requires Studying Quranic Arabic. Since the Quran was revealed in Arabic, learning its original language allows Muslims to understand its meanings directly, without relying on translations.
In this article, we will explore why Studying Quranic Arabic is essential, its benefits, and the best methods to learn it effectively.
Why Studying Quranic Arabic is Important?
1. Direct Understanding of the Quran
Translations of the Quran provide an interpretation of its meanings, but they can never fully capture the depth, eloquence, and beauty of the original Arabic text. By Studying Quranic Arabic, you gain the ability to understand the Quran directly as it was revealed.
2. Stronger Connection with the Words of Allah
When you understand the Quran in its original language, every verse feels more personal and impactful. This deepens your spiritual connection and makes your recitation more meaningful.
3. Better Focus in Salah (Prayer)
Muslims recite the Quran in their daily prayers, but many do so without understanding the meaning. Learning Quranic Arabic enhances concentration in Salah, making it a truly immersive experience.
4. Improved Tafsir (Interpretation) Skills
Tafsir, the explanation of the Quran, often relies on linguistic details that translations cannot fully convey. By Studying Quranic Arabic, you can grasp the deeper meanings of the Quranic text and interpret it more accurately.
5. Strengthens Islamic Knowledge
Many Islamic sciences, such as Hadith, Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), and Aqeedah (Islamic beliefs), use Arabic as their primary language. Learning Quranic Arabic lays the foundation for deeper Islamic studies.
How to Start Studying Quranic Arabic?
1. Learn the Arabic Alphabet and Pronunciation
If you are a beginner, start with the basics:
Learn how to read and pronounce Arabic letters correctly.
Understand vowel markings (Harakat) and how they affect pronunciation.
Practice reciting short Quranic verses with proper Tajweed.
2. Study Common Quranic Vocabulary
Approximately 70% of the words in the Quran are repeated throughout its verses. Learning these high-frequency words makes it easier to understand entire passages. Some commonly used words include:
رب (Rabb) – Lord
(Rahma) – Mercy
نور (Noor) – Light
حق (Haq) – Truth
3. Understand Arabic Grammar and Sentence Structure
Unlike modern Arabic, Quranic Arabic has its own grammatical rules and structures. Key topics to focus on include:
Nouns (Ism), Verbs (Fi’l), and Particles (Harf)
Verb conjugations and root words
Sentence structure and meaning interpretation
4. Listen to Quranic Recitations and Explanations
Listening to expert Qaris recite the Quran while following along with a translation helps reinforce understanding. Some recommended reciters include:
Sheikh Sudais
Mishary Alafasy
Sheikh Minshawi
5. Enroll in an Online Quranic Arabic Course
Many institutions and scholars offer online courses to help students learn Quranic Arabic at their own pace. Some highly recommended courses include:
Bayyinah Institute (Nouman Ali Khan)
Al-Madina Institute
Quranic Arabic courses on Udemy and Coursera
6. Practice Regularly with Quranic Texts
Start with shorter Surahs such as Surah Al-Fatiha, Surah Al-Ikhlas, and Surah Al-Asr.
Try to analyze the meanings of words and identify common patterns.
Write down new vocabulary and review it daily.
Challenges in Studying Quranic Arabic and How to Overcome Them
1. Difficulty in Grammar Rules
✅ Solution: Focus on learning grammar gradually. Instead of memorizing complex rules, start with the basics and build on them.
2. Limited Time for Study
✅ Solution: Set a daily goal of studying at least 15-30 minutes of Quranic Arabic. Small, consistent efforts lead to long-term progress.
3. Forgetting Previously Learned Words
✅ Solution: Use flashcards or mobile apps like Memrise or Anki to reinforce vocabulary retention.
4. Struggling with Pronunciation
✅ Solution: Listen to native Arabic speakers or Qaris and repeat after them to improve pronunciation and fluency.
The Spiritual and Intellectual Benefits of Studying Quranic Arabic
✔ Enhances Spirituality: Understanding the words of the Quran increases reverence and appreciation for its divine wisdom.
✔ Deepens Tafsir and Reflection: When you grasp the meanings of words and verses, you can reflect more deeply on their lessons.
✔ Strengthens Faith: Learning Quranic Arabic allows you to appreciate the linguistic miracles of the Quran, strengthening your belief in its divine origin.
✔ Improves Memory and Cognitive Skills: Studying a new language enhances memory, focus, and problem-solving abilities.
Conclusion
Studying Quranic Arabic is one of the most rewarding journeys a Muslim can embark on. It opens the doors to understanding the Quran directly, deepens one’s spiritual connection with Allah, and enhances worship. By taking small, consistent steps—such as learning common words, practicing with recitations, and enrolling in courses—you can make significant progress in Quranic comprehension.

Significant Surahs in the Quran and Their Importance
The Quran is filled with guidance, wisdom, and lessons for every aspect of life. While every surah holds value, there are some that stand out due to their deep meanings and spiritual benefits. Among them, the 5 most important surahs in Quran are often recited for protection, healing, and seeking Allah’s mercy.
Surah Al-Fatiha (The Opening)
Surah Al-Fatiha is the first chapter of the Quran and is recited in every unit of prayer. It is often called the “Mother of the Quran” because it summarizes the essence of faith, including praise for Allah, guidance for the straight path, and seeking His mercy. This surah is a daily reminder of a believer’s reliance on Allah and the importance of staying on the right path.
Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow)
This is the longest surah in the Quran and contains powerful verses that address various aspects of life, including faith, laws, and morality. The last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah hold special significance as they provide protection and blessings. It also includes Ayat-ul-Kursi, one of the most important verses in the Quran, which speaks about Allah’s supreme power and is often recited for safety and peace.
Surah Yaseen
Known as the “Heart of the Quran,” Surah Yaseen is widely recited for seeking blessings and easing hardships. Many Muslims recite it daily or during difficult times, as it brings comfort and reassurance. The surah emphasizes the greatness of Allah, the consequences of disbelief, and the reality of resurrection and accountability.
Surah Al-Kahf (The Cave)
This surah is recommended for recitation every Friday as it serves as a source of light and protection from the trials of the Dajjal (Antichrist). It tells the story of the people of the cave, a reminder of steadfast faith in times of adversity. It also highlights themes of patience, gratitude, and trust in Allah’s wisdom.
Surah Al-Ikhlas (The Sincerity)
Despite being one of the shortest surahs, Surah Al-Ikhlas carries immense value. It is equivalent to one-third of the Quran in reward and focuses entirely on the oneness of Allah. Reciting it regularly strengthens faith and affirms the belief in the absolute uniqueness of Allah.
Conclusion
These 5 most important surahs in Quran hold a special place in the hearts of Muslims. They provide guidance, protection, and spiritual strength. Incorporating them into daily recitation can bring countless blessings and serve as a reminder of the deeper meanings within the Quran.

SALATUL JANAZAH
FUNERAL PRAYERS & RULINGS
Amongst the first things that we do after a death is offer Funeral Prayer. That also is a means of benefitting the Dead. When the Muslims pray janazah for their deceased brother, they are granted intercession for him. The more the number of Muslims who join in the prayer, the more beneficial it is for the deceased. This means that Allaah takes their testimony and supplication regarding the deceased's apparent actions as a sufficient reason for forgiveness. Since those Muslims who associated with him did not find any major problem to prevent them from supplicating for him, Allaah the most generous accepts that and agrees to forgive many of his hidden sins that they did not know. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whenever a Muslim man dies, and forty men stand for his janazah prayer, all of them not joining anything with Allaah in worship, Allaah grants them intercession for him." (Muslim and others).
In another narration, the number 100 was mentioned instead of 40
So strive to offer Funeral prayers and try and get as many Righteous Muslims to attend the Funeral prayer and request them to pray for the deceased.
Ruling
The funeral prayer is a communal obligation (fard kifaayah) that must be offered for anyone who dies and was apparently Muslim, even if he or she committed major sins.
An-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Offering the funeral prayer for the deceased is a communal obligation with no difference of opinion among us, which means there is (scholarly) consensus.
Attending a funeral is a duty that a Muslim owes to his fellow Muslim. Al-Bukhaari (1240) and Muslim (2162) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ say: “ "The rights of a Muslim on the Muslims are five: to respond to the salaam, visiting the sick, to follow the funeral processions, to accept an invitation, and to reply to those who sneeze.”.
REWARD OF ATTENDING FUNERAL
Also there is great reward in it. It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: “Whoever attends a funeral until he offers the (funeral) prayer will have one qiraat (of reward) and whoever attends until the burial is done will have two qiraats.” It was said: “What are the two qiraats?” He said: “Like two great mountains.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1261; Muslim, 945)
Unfortunately we see that this is only done by the family & friends whereas the great rewards mentioned in the Hadeeth is not limited to them, it is for any Muslim who finds out about the funeral, attends it and follows it till it is buried.
It serves as a reminder of the inevitable that is death for all of us, the Prophet ﷺ said, “‘Frequently remember the destroyer of pleasures,’ meaning death.” (TIrmidhi, Nisai'‘i & Ibn Majah) . Witnessing the burial reminds us that how we will be there alone in the dark and how the family will leave us there, it is us who needs to face the angels and the trials of the grave and eventually the Day of Judgement.
HOW TO PERFORM THE JANAZA (FUNERAL) PRAYER.
The prayer over the deceased person takes the following form:
The funeral prayer has neither Adhaan nor lqamah.
The deceased is laid down on the ground with the face directed towards the Ka'ba.
Where the deceased is a male, the Imam would stand facing towards the head of the dead body, while, if the deceased is a woman the Imam would stand facing the middle part of the dead body. Meanwhile, the congregation would be standing behind him in rows.
The funeral prayer is performed with one standing only and has neither bows (Rukuus) nor prostration (Sujuuds).
STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED
First takbir said. (#1)
Surah al Fatiha read + another surah (desirable).
Second takbir said. (#2)
Then recite salah Ibrahim and Muhammed (SalAllaahu alayhi wasalam)
Next takbir (#3)
Dua for the person who has died from the Sunnah (mentioned below).
Next takbir (#4)
Pause a little.
Then taslimah – one taslim to the right is what majority of the Scholars say is the Sunnah but some also say that Two Taslim is also fine. We need to follow the Imam.
DUA TO BE RECITED FOR AN ADULT
‘Allahummaghfir lihayyina wa mayyitina, wa shahidina wa gha’ibina, wa saghirina wa kabirina, wa dhakarina wa unthana. Allahumma man ahyaitahu minna faahyihi ‘alal-Islam, wa man tawaffaytahu minna fa tawaffahu ‘alal- iman.
O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, those who are present and those who are absent, our young and our old, our males and our females. O Allah, whomever of us You cause to live, let him live in Islam, and whomever of us You cause to die, let him die in (a state of) faith. O Allah, do not deprive us of his reward, and do not let us go astray after him.
Dua to be recited for a Child
This supplication is made when the deceased is a baby/child (i.e. one not having reached the age of puberty). When the prayer is offered for a child, there should be no prayer for forgiveness, and it should not be said in the prayer “Allaahumma aghfir lahu (O Allaah forgive him),” because no sins were recorded for him. Rather prayers should be said for forgiveness and mercy for his parents.
Allâhumma j’alhu faratan wa dhukran li-wâlidayhi, wa shafî’an mujâban.
Allâhumma thaqqil bihi mawâzînahumâ, wa a’zim bihi ijûrahumâ, wa alhiqhu bi-sâlihi-l-mu'minîna.
Wa j’alhu fî kafâlati Ibrâhîma, wa qihi bi-rahmatika ‘adhâba-l-jahîm.
‘O Allah, make him a preceding reward and a stored treasure for his parents, and an answered intercessor. O Allah, through him, make heavy their scales and magnify their reward. Unite him with the righteous believers, place him under the care of Ibraheem, and protect him by Your mercy from the torment of Hell.’
NOTE
The person should follow the imam in the number of Taslims to finish if he makes one we make one if he makes two we follow. But the majority of Scholars say better to make one Tasleem.
The largest possible number of Muslims should be invited to the Funeral, they should be arranged in a minimum of three rows.
Raising hands for all the Takbeers is the view of Majority of the Scholars but some also are of the view that raising only for the first one is required and one does not need to raise the hands for the others.
If a person joins the funeral prayer while the Imam is about to complete the same, then, the person would continue with the congregation until when the Imam concludes the prayer, then, the person would complete by himself whatever he missed of the prayer following the above procedure.
If a late-comer fears that the body of the deceased may be taken away before he completes the pray over him, then, such a person may only come up with the Words of greatness i.e. "ALLAHU AKBAR" four times without necessarily reciting the required supplications. The person thereafter, comes up with the words of peace, thereby, ending the prayer.
If a person is unable to pray over a deceased person before burial, then, it is permitted for him to pray over the deceased's grave.
If a person who is faraway is told of the death of a friend or family member (who he would have prayed the Funeral for, if he was in town), then such a person may pray over the deceased person in absentia with the intention as though the deceased is actually before him/her.

One of my new year resolutions is to teach good Urdu to my child. I live in a foreign country. The primary language spoken here is English.
I want to raise my child as a multilingual. And I am going to start with Urdu.
My daily goals:
Teach Urdu alphabets to him daily, preferably twice a day.
Read at least two Urdu books to him daily
Recite Surah Fatiha 3 times a day out aloud in front of him so he can start memorizing it inshallah.
I want my child to learn and read Urdu so he can become an independent Urdu reader when he grows up. Urdu has such beautiful literature and I want him to benefit from it when he grows up. I just feel it is my responsibility to make him an avid Urdu reader. I want him to read Ghalib and Iqbal and understand their work.
I feel I don't have people around me who have the same thought process as me. But I don't really care. I am grateful for the fact that Allah has blessed me with a strong mindset. I want to raise him as a leader, not as a money-making machine.
I also want him to learn Arabic. But I don't know Arabic. So I am going to start with Urdu. If I pray to Allah hard enough, He will find ways for me to teach Arabic to my child too, that to proficiently inshallah.
I also want him to learn Persian, Spanish, and French. Inshallah.

A Simple Guide to Performing the Dhuha Prayer
The Dhuha prayer is a voluntary prayer in Islam, performed in the forenoon after the sun has fully risen and before the time for the Dhuhr prayer begins. It’s a great way to bring peace to your day, seek blessings, and express gratitude to Allah. If you're wondering how to perform Dhuha prayer, here’s a straightforward guide that can help you get started.
Understanding the Dhuha Prayer
Dhuha is not obligatory, but it's highly recommended. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized its importance as a way to show gratitude for the blessings Allah has given. It is a prayer that can be performed at any time during the forenoon, with the most common time being after the sun has risen and before the Dhuhr prayer.
How to Perform Dhuha Prayer
Intention (Niyyah) Start by making a sincere intention in your heart. You don’t need to say anything aloud. Just decide that you're about to offer the Dhuha prayer for the sake of Allah.
Number of Rakats The Dhuha prayer can be prayed in different ways, but typically, it is prayed in two or four rakats. It’s common to start with two rakats, especially if you're new to the prayer. If you wish to offer more, you can pray up to eight rakats, but the most recommended number is two.
Performing the Prayer Begin by standing and saying "Allahu Akbar" (Allah is the Greatest) to start the prayer. Then, proceed with the usual steps of the prayer: recite Surah Al-Fatiha followed by another Surah in each rak'ah. The Surah you recite can be short, like Surah Al-Ikhlas, or any other Surah you are comfortable with.
Salam After completing the second rak'ah, say "Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah" (Peace and blessings be upon you) to both your right and left, just as you would at the end of any other prayer.
Benefits of Dhuha Prayer
One of the key benefits of the Dhuha prayer is that it brings great reward. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that if a person offers the Dhuha prayer, Allah will reward them with the equivalent of giving charity for every joint in their body. It’s a simple way to earn rewards while strengthening your connection with Allah.
A Regular Habit
It’s a good idea to make Dhuha part of your daily routine. Even on busy days, you can spare a few minutes to offer it, especially since it brings so much reward. If you find yourself struggling to make time, try starting with two rakats and gradually increase it. With consistency, you’ll begin to feel the positive impact of this prayer on your life.
Learning More About Islam and Prayer
If you want to deepen your knowledge about prayers and other aspects of Islam, it's helpful to continue learning. A great resource for learning the Quran and improving your understanding of Islamic practices is Riwaq Al Quran. They offer excellent resources that can guide you in enhancing your connection with Allah and understanding the beauty of the Quran.
The Dhuha prayer is a simple yet powerful way to enrich your day with blessings. By incorporating it into your routine, you not only earn rewards but also build a habit that nurtures your spirituality. Keep it in mind and make it a part of your life, and you'll feel the difference in your relationship with Allah.

The Benefits of Reading Surah Al-Fatiha

Refutation of Shaikh Muhammad al-Junagarhi (d. 1941 CE) رحمه الله (Urdu Translator of the Meanings of the Quran in Urdu published by KSA) & Ahlul Hadeeth scholars of India, upon the Shirk of the founders of Jamaat Ghuraba (Urdu Book: Zil Muhammadi Pg. 23)
Imam of the Ghuraba & his blind-followers have opened the door to shirk
Gentlemen! A treatise called "Zil Muhammadi" aka "Imamat Muhammadi" has been presented before you. This will make the reality of Imaamate Shariah clear to you and the deception of counterfeit & fake Imams will be opened. And ladies, read & save yourself from fake imams & save others too.
Also, the more dangerous problem is their polytheistic incantations (shirkiya mantra aur jantar) for hocus-pocus sorcery (dam jhaadh). This sect is the follower of Maulvi Abdul Wahhab Sahib Sadri & his son Maulvi Abdul Sattaar (as-Sattaar is not amongst the names of Allah). Maulvi Abdul Wahhab continued to publish it for a long time in his life. Finally died without repentance. After him, his son Maulvi Abdul Sattar also has the same attitude. Therefore, read the words of Maulvi Sahib and his son from their scriptures. He sets up a question & then writes the answer himself as follows:
Q: Is it permissible or not, to use the polytheistic words (shirkiya alfaaz) to cure the bite of snakes & dogs etc.?
A: It is not better, yes, if it is necessary for the well-wishing of a Muslim, there is no harm in it. According to saying (Qawl) the Prophet ﷺ
“من استطاع منکم ان ینفع اخاہ فلیفعل”
(Fath) (Saheefa Month of Ramadan Mubarak, year 45)
The title of this book bears the signature of Maulvi Abdul Wahhab as the owner & the signature of Maulvi Abdul Jalil as the editor. And Maulvi Abdul Sattar's signature as Mufti is as follows. Mufti Abu Muhammad Abd al-Sattar Ghafrullah al-Gaffar al-Muhajiri. In this case, these three men agree & participate in these polytheistic incantations (shirkiya dum jhad).
When this fatwa came before the people to read it, people asked Maulvi Abd al-Wahhab that the Ahle Hadeeth and polytheism? Is it not enough to pray for those who have been bitten by dogs & scorpions and bewitched by the verses of the Holy Qur'an & the prayers of the hadiths? From which this man (Janaab) had to accept the curse of shirk?
On this Maulvi Abd al-Wahhab Sahib went several steps further and said thus:
There is no harm if a non-Muslim or a Muslim (who remembers any ruqyah from the age of Jahiliyyah) cures with polytheistic incantations, the one bitten by poisonous animals such as snakes, scorpions, dogs, etc. But this permissibility is not everywhere at all times, but where other remedies are impossible, i.e. where there is no other Muslim person, or if there is, he does not know the Duaa Mathura, or he knows the Duaa Mathura, but is unable to use the Duaa Mathura. So Surah Fatiha is a cure for every disease. Muawadhatayn is a great ruqyah. But the bewitched person whose charm is buried, until these verses are recited on him, there is no benefit until this buried charm is removed. So when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was bewitched, the angels sent by Allah came to him & told him that he was bewitched inside such & such things in such & such a well. So he took out that spell & saw that his hair had been taken & knotted. While reciting one verse of Muawadhatayn at a time, Allah Almighty gave him complete healing.
It is worth considering here that at that time, Jibreel (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) told him ﷺ that magic is buried in such & such a place. But today, when Jibreel (peace be upon him) does not come & tell us, inevitably, a magician who is familiar with this work will have to play with him. And now it is obvious that magicians make polytheistic words & shameful actions, and this thing is forbidden. But it is permissible in case of such helplessness & compulsion. (Saheefah Delhi, Month of Jumadi al-Thani year 46)
Gentlemen! You should carefully look at these words of theirs. Muslims & non-Muslims are being allowed polytheistic incantations (Shirkiya Alfaaz se Jhaadh Phook) to be used, while they are denying healing from the Holy Qur'an. Reciting Surah Fatehah (Al-Hamdu Sharif) & Surah al-Falaq & Surah an-Naas are being called useless, he says that there is no benefit from them. (May Allah forgive us)
On the other hand, they are giving the status of Hazrat Jibreel (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) to magicians.
When Maulvi Abd al-Wahhab's rebellion reached this extent, these scriptures of Maulvi Abd al-Wahhab were presented to the scholars of Ahl al-Hadith by the Ahl al-Hadith people of Delhi and they were asked what they should say about such a person. Do not these passages of the scriptures open the doors of Shirk Allah? Also, what is your fatwa regarding such a person?
On which the scholars gave the above unanimous fatwa that:
"These words are polytheism & blasphemy. Maulvi Abd al-Wahhab should repent & unite with them, otherwise Muslims should cut ties with them."
The names of the scholars who issued a fatwa regarding them as polytheists are:
Maulana Syed Abul Hasan Sahib, Nubairah Hadhrat Mian Sahib Dehlavi
Maulana Abdul Rahman Sahib Mubarakpuri
Maulana Sanaullah Sahib Amritsari

And others, numbering a total of 61.
See “Muttafiqah Fatawa Ulama Ahle Hadeeth, published by Army Press, Delhi." (Unanimous Fatawa of Scholars of Ahl-e-Hadith)
But the fatwas of these scholars did not have any effect on Maulvi Abdul Wahhab. And they came down to their Maulavit (Priesthood) & remained adamant on shirk.
