This is the perfect way to think about it.

Also, they've asked tons of people what would happen, but none of them knew. They even asked multiple gods who put Predathos there. The answer doesn't exist. Even Matt probably doesn't fully know until they start playing it out. The game was to make a choice without knowing the outcome. Everyone finding out together through the power of fucking around is the whole point of long form improvisational improv.

So hell yeah eat those berries as hot as the sun, and give your playmate the Game Master the enrichment of describing to you exactly how bad of an idea that was. Doing smart things with predictable results is what desk jobs are for.

for a while I was kinda annoyed that bh decided to release predathos with minimal questions asked, until someone on here reminded me that they are, in fact, a dnd party. as someone who, when presented with berries as hot as the sun, ate them without hesitation because I wanted to know exactly how much they would fuck me up, I completely understand wanting to hit the big red button, consequences be damned. fuck yeah release that God eater, unleash the apocalypse, go crazy.

Accusations of this plan coming out of nowhere are funny to me because it wouldn't have made any sense to come up with the idea of the gods going mortal before this episode.

Before now one of the things they were worried about was predathos eating and killing exandrians aswell as or instead of the gods if it couldn't get to them.

Only after Imogen joined with it and saw it can't even see mortals let alone hunger for them does it make sense to suggest this, and she comes up with the idea because of Downfall and seeing the gods do it before, so hardly out of no where.

The scene from C3E105 with Braius trying to convince Highbearer Vord that he follows a Platinum Dragon saint in particular is already funny, but on top of that watching Sam Riegel confidently bullshit his way through making up a saint and then pulling those faces as he waits to see if it worked? Spectacular. Hilarious. I'm so glad he's back.

Pretty sure the whole thing went like this:

Braius, outwardly: "This is awesome. I'm awesome. I got this."

Braius, inwardly: "…oh shit, does he look convinced?"
