Orym just got over of the most of the most deserved HDYWTDT of the entire series! That man has tormented 4 of Liam's characters directly.

Hell fucken yes Laura Bailey, press that red button!
I cannot *imagine* how hard it is to be part of a large ensemble cast but have the narrative push your character into a position where they're one of two to have final say in such a complex, murky, near end-game situation
I feel like everything Laura did made sense for Imogen, the roleplay and the events as Matt described, and kept the other players in mind as well
Re crossing the barriers: The moments after Ludinus' 'death' were obviously very tense. BH had worked themselves into a binary, either deal with Predathos or conceal/secure the prison. When they realised Ludinus wasn't dead, option 2 was fucked, so they moved to option 1 immediately. Hindsight is 2020 - if they'd taken time to think, they'd have realised they had time to think, but they'd *barely* kept Ludinus from getting through last time, so I don't blame them for jumping.
Re not resisting Predathos: Aside from the reasons stated in-game, I think Imogen was also trying to pre-empt Fearne. Even if Imogen had said no, *Fearne* could have said yes. Imogen didn't want Fearne to be sacrificed, and probably thought she has a better chance of controlling Predathos. So by saying yes Imogen maintained as much control of the situation as she could.
I can't wait to see what happens

SPOILER FOR E118 OF BELLS HELLS
What I thought Predathos would be:
(that’s the only artwork of Cronus I could find that wasn’t weird or get taken down by Tumblr)
What he actually was:
What he and Imogen became:
(I wanted dark messiah Imogen really badly but not like this- just for flavor like story wise. I take it back!)

This is the perfect way to think about it.
Also, they've asked tons of people what would happen, but none of them knew. They even asked multiple gods who put Predathos there. The answer doesn't exist. Even Matt probably doesn't fully know until they start playing it out. The game was to make a choice without knowing the outcome. Everyone finding out together through the power of fucking around is the whole point of long form improvisational improv.
So hell yeah eat those berries as hot as the sun, and give your playmate the Game Master the enrichment of describing to you exactly how bad of an idea that was. Doing smart things with predictable results is what desk jobs are for.
for a while I was kinda annoyed that bh decided to release predathos with minimal questions asked, until someone on here reminded me that they are, in fact, a dnd party. as someone who, when presented with berries as hot as the sun, ate them without hesitation because I wanted to know exactly how much they would fuck me up, I completely understand wanting to hit the big red button, consequences be damned. fuck yeah release that God eater, unleash the apocalypse, go crazy.

the bell's hells are a party of scrappy little NPCs who bonded *hard* then powered up 12 levels in 3 months. No-one saw them coming, and no-one knows what they'll do, least of all Bells Hells.
and that's why they are where they are.
the Powers That Be focused on those more powerful or more obviously opposed to their position and effectively stale-mated each other
the bells hell's own indecision makes them hard to predict. They've openly discussed leaning into their chaos and weirdness as a strategy in fighting, and I think they've weaponised their collective indecision as well - using it to keep people talking, get more information, and delay or diffuse fights, under the guise that it will convince them one way or another.
It's even been an effective way to counter surveillance by scrying and by observing the strings of fate - can't know which way the bells hells are gonna go because no one does!

Sure is a good thing that when they first found The Nightmare King tormenting a werewolf to spread the the curse and killing children, Bell's Hells didn't manage to defeat him and now have a very freaky ally in the fight against The Worst Person You Know Ludinus Da'leth.
