//Since I've been writing a ton of angsty Angel, here's a little realisation I had rewatching Hazbin earlier this week.

So, in episode 6, during You Didn't Know, obviously Adam and Lute share their two cents (aka Lute calling Angel "some crackwhore who fucked up already" when discussing his chances of getting into Heaven). They pull up this picture of said crackwhore to back up their argument.

The first few times I watched it, I just saw Angel upset and bleeding, and I assumed it was a shot from the previous scenes, since Heaven had just watched Angel stand up to Valentino and take a blow for it (OH and did I mention how they are essentially spying on Angel without his knowledge during this scene? My boy can't catch a break). Then I noticed he's wearing his robe from the studio.

So... Lute and Adam straight up dug out a picture of Angel at his work with a black eye, holding his robe closed, bleeding from the mouth and crying... AND THAT'S THE EVIDENCE THAT HE'S IRREDEEMABLE? Him being obviously abused is PROOF HE'S NOT WORTHY OF HEAVEN?

HARSH, LUTE. HARSH.

The fact they went out of their way to show Angel at his absolute LOWEST to prove the point that he's a sinful addict porn star with no chance of being redeemed is CRAZY.

so, i am gonna be honest and mention i will be a little scarce here and there. might pop in to do the odd reply here or there, or send in random inbox prompts or ask to plot, because things are admittedly very difficult right now but i still feel like i need to do things in order to ground myself a bit, but... it's so fucking hard.

point blank, my nephew is dying.

he's been battling cancer since he was two or three years old. he's only seven now.

the cancer/tumors fortunately went away after extensive treatment, but it left his lungs irreperable and so, so weak that he's had to be put on oxygen. despite this, he was doing so well, and we thought he would've been able to make it through a few years to qualify for a lung transplant...

but, things suddenly took a turn for the worse a week or two ago. his heart had stopped, and they were fortunately able to bring him back—but since then he's had constant desaturations, and each one takes upwards of 10 or more to stablize him. his o2 has gone below 27. we know he's had tremendous damage to his brain because of this, but we can't even do a CT scan because he's been hooked up to so many machines including an oscillator/ventilator.

there's no chance for him, and right after i went to sleep, one of his lungs fully collapsed. it gave out completely. now it's just a matter of waiting for his heart to stop.

i'm sorry for putting this all out here. i just... sorry.

// AS WELL AS ALICE AND NAHLA, HOWEVER historically shit in this RP has been very different for girl and boy characters. every time i attempted to bring in a girl she was either ignored by anons or judged for stuff the men haven't or for the things they were praised for (Alice rn has NOT experienced this which i am SO thankful for). most notably off of the top of my head i can compare Marija and Jadro, they acted the exact same, their backstories are dead similar, and Jadro is basically a genderbent of Marija, yet i cannot count how much hate Marija got in the inbox when Jadro i would say has been one of my most beloved characters here. the only difference that i can count between the two is the fact she is a woman and the fact she looked more ethnic. other mods noticed this change in behavior towards women and men when it comes to anons as well, it isn't an isolated incident by far. again, i've noticed this got way better recently in MY perspective at least, but it was NOT like this for a while, and it was why i was hesitating bringing in Alice for so long.
