Okay so I SHOULD be working on the next chapter of my Miguel fic...and I promise I am. But I can't stop thinking about this post from @luxthestrange with my lovely man, Crocodile (also ignoring the fact that I'm behind on updating his fic by alot...) So here's a little something to get the writer vibes flowing

Sir Crocodile x Ex-Secretary!Reader

You never thought that you'd end up having a WANTED poster, but you made some questionable choices as a youth which made entering the 'normal' world extremely hard and ultimately not worth it after awhile.

You did managed to get a desk job, but that didn't last long when it was revealed to have owed some money to a dangerous, business-smart pirate named Sir Crocodile. Amidst the raid, you were called out by said captain as it was your questioning of the numbers and certain other connections that brought some attention to what your then-boss was doing. (Oops). Either way, you expected to get interrogated then disposed of.

You got a handshake and job offer instead.

Now of course, you didn't immediately join Crocodile's side, but he noticed your attention to details and ease of conversing with even the seemingly shadiest of connects. Crocodile didn't think you were a pirate, but you certainly weren't a normal civilian either.

The secretary offer came after Crocodile witnessed you boldly standing up to one Warlord (Doffy) when he tried to barge into Crocodile's office while he was on a phone call. You were merely passing by. But you knew that Sir Crocodile didn't like to be interrupted, and the secretary then wasn't holding his place against the giant man.

Doflamingo was pissed. But Crocodile approved.

So then started the years of partnership and endless work where you kept tabs and details organized for Crocodile's use while you were rewarded in both finances and work benefits.

You enjoyed it, so you were a bit let down when things hit the fan and your boss in jail.

However, you were able to start an underground consulting business while hiding from the Marines. It was quite successful. When news came of Crocodile's escape, it was easy enough to track him down and send him a wealth of information ranging from old contacts to accounts that were still untouched. As a courtesy...

Sir Crocodile was quick to send over a bouquet of flowers and a beautiful invitation to welcome you back to working for him. You gracefully declined citing your new business adventure and gave warm wishes.

And so started a relentless array of attempts of winning you back. Several initial consultations for 'new clients' were just lunches of the man trying to convince you. Each time, you'd just sit and listen before taking the check for your time. Gifts of your favorite fragrances, coffees, pastries, and the like were always welcoming you either home or to your office. It did surprise you a bit how much the man knew about you. Your actual clients seemed to nervous to be caught between you both since Crocodile was trying to scare them off, and you were stern in getting your demands and continuing your work.

After some time though, it had been silent. You caught wind of Crocodile's new partners, and you felt some relief that others were able to take on and work with the man. Things would be easier now. You'd both cross paths maybe as partners or each other's clients in the future.

A knock at the door rattles your calm evening and tea. You stood from your living room and peek out your peephole. However, you didn't see anything. You were just about to walk away when you could've sworn you smelled a familiar robust smoke and opened the door.

You nearly gasped when you see Crocodile on his knees with the largest ramo of lilacs, Adam's needles, and roses you'd ever seen--although they were on the ground under his hand. He looked up at you with both desire, stress, and relief.

He puffed out his smoke before yanking out his cigar and pleading. "You are the most competent, skilled, and amazing person I know. I need you back in my life even more now. Please dear, come back to me."

because that's what the show has become basically since s2 started. any time a third party is brought in to judge they always come down in Stolas' favor

Loona talks to Via in Seeing Stars? she should cut her dad some slack for a repeat pattern of behavior

Blitzo has a heart to heart with Fizz in Oops about how Stolas looks down on him? Fizz immediately takes up for Stolas and even pulls the total BS 'if you judge royalty you're as bad as them' liberal line of thinking on Striker

Blitzo reads Stolas for filth? he gets an invite to Verosika's party where she nonstop empathizes with him despite Stolas talking trash about her and everyone there behind her back

and the thing is ever single time it happens the deck is blatantly stacked so Stolas can come out looking better. it's either stuff being left out or everyone involved being OOC.

Loona has no reason to think anything of Stolas outside of 'man my adoptive father is forced to sleep with so we can pay rent', yet she gives Via this speech full of platitudes about why Stolas is trying is enough (and then doesn't cut Blitzo any slack, so it's not like she's saying this because she's learnt anything about her own relationship with her father - it's just here to benefit Stolas)

When talking to Fizz Blitzo rightly notes it's a fetish to Stolas - but the writers also make him bring up a bunch of phone calls that happened totally offscreen to make Stolas look better. there's plenty of things he could tell Fizz but he's never allowed to just so the writers can make him look cynical for doubting Stolas

Verosika is the straightest example of triangulation. she's biased against Blitzo to the point she'll believe when anyone says anything about him, but the writers never allow her to find out Stolas was never 'dating' Blitzo but coercing him into sex instead. her projecting all her baggage onto Stolas is barely even mentioned in the episode as being a problem when she inserts herself into the scenario - the viewers are supposed to side with her 'it starts with saying good for him' line despite how little sense that makes. it contradicts the episode's whole thesis that it's OK for her to be mad at Blitzo for awhile - but Blitzo can't be mad Stolas went and made out with someone else right in front of him the night after he told Blitzo he supposedly cared very deeply for him

that's why this isn't just garbage but infruriating. the whole universe is distorted to favor Stolas and everyone's characterization suffers as a result because they all have to take a bunch of stupid pills in every scenario instead of talking plainly about all the shit Stolas has pulled. Loona and Fizz especially should show some care for Blitzo over Stolas, but they don't. and Blitzo is never allowed to tell anyone else just how badly Stolas screwed him over so they can keep gaslighting him that he's the problem

it's probably also why more of the audience is turning on Stolas. most people can't relate to having a hitman called on them or any of the cartoonish things Stella does

but most people sure can relate to having had an argument with an ex partner or friend and feeling like they want to scream because said partner/friend manipulates everyone around them into taking their side or pressuring them to 'own up' and 'apologize', likely in just the same ways that Stolas does

what the show is putting Blitzo through is just dehumanizing and depressing. his feelings don't matter, how he's been treated doesn't matter. because we're just supposed to accept that he's dirt not worth scraping of Stolas' bird claws, whereas Stolas is pure and good and has only made transgressions so minor they don't even warrant mentioning. and the only way the show will treat him as worthy of anything is if he gives Stolas unconditional love while getting nothing in return

Poppin in for the first time in a few months— I’ve been following your art on and off for like two years now, and I just want to say that your art style is still one of my favorite art styles. It’s unique, I love you draw noses/mouths/eyes (gods i love the way you draw mouths and teeth and facial expressions in general, am trying to learn from how you do this because it’s SO GOOD) in a really detailed way while still maintaining stylization, and the grittiness of a lot of your art really inspires me! 

 Also, your armada of trans characters (happy early pride, btw!) are wonderful. Umami in particular is my beloved (to be loved is to be changed indeed, she’s wonderful, and I think about that particular post all the time). Gender stuff’s been funky for me over the past few years, and your peeps have been something of a comfort for me as I figure myself out. Especially because a lot of your characters don’t adhere to strict gender norms— they just exist in their gender, whether that’s dude or woman or nb or something else, and it’s been helping me figure out that I can just exist wherever I’m at, too. I’m not sure if that makes sense, but yeah, it’s appreciated.

I also just really appreciate the diversity in your character designs in general, especially as someone who struggles with variation in character design. I might be rambling here, but even amongst all your fantasy stuff (I’m not quite sure what warhammer is, but you make it look epic), your people just look like they’d be regular people. Like no shade on other artists!, but at the same time, the same anime-esque small nose round/oval face different hair different eyes athletic build for everyone’s favorite characters gets samey after awhile, and i don’t know a lot of people who look like that in real life, y’know? While like your characters like Lyell and human Umami (off the top of my head) and your less obviously fantastical designs in general look like people I could run into while, like, I dunno, grocery shopping or something. They’re unique, but they’re also grounded. It’s definitely something I want to bring to my own art— it makes me feel like I could connect to the character designs more because of it.��

I've just been looking at this ask every now and then like :] wahhh, thanks!! it's always nice to get an idea of what it is people See in my art these days, since it just kinda looks 'normal' to me haha. Never really think of it as being all that stylized until I realize oh wait, most people are out here drawing much more reasonably sized mouths, oops, and i love regular people! Truly some of the best inspiration for interesting character designs to me are usually out buying corn nuts and a beer at the gas station and whathaveyou...regular people are great, i recommend jotting down any interesting folks you see as fast as you can, like a monk frantically scribbling down a vision from heaven

It has been haunting me!

I deleted everything other than my "please do not be aggressive to people I argue with" post to further anonymize the person who'd asked me to do so and to not keep my support of the OOP up, but like, I saw a TRF calling the statement (paraphrasing) "the transmasc and butch lesbian communities were a circle," specifically about very early queer culture, transmisogynistic for erasing early butch transfems and also misgendering trans men. It seemed to me like it was a bit hyperbolic but nitpicking to take it that way, especially since the OOP's tag before that said "trans people have always had a place in lesbianism," which seemed like they were being explicitly inclusive of trans women from the lack of specificity.

Some of Velvet Nation felt it was saying all trans men are butch lesbians, though, rather than simply pointing out the very close relationship the two had/have had for awhile, and so I deferred to yall on the matter. I don't know who the OOP actually was except that they reblogged it from me with further commentary but I couldn't see it because the OP had already blocked us both.

I wish transfems had a closer relationship with our AMAB cousins, because that relationship is much less controversial among trans men, or so it seems to me? I know obviously the TERF problem is real bad but I've always seen way, way more discussion of transmasc-cis lesbian solidarity. I feel like trans women also had that for awhile but somewhere along the way that stopped and it's kinna frustrating.

I'm just kinna rambling now, but my point is that I can say I'm wrong but it sure is a wound to the NPD every time. The NPD is also what compels me to do that, though, because a self-aware narc would rather endure a little psychic damage to preserve their reputation in the long term.

It really has! I think about it from time to time though, revisiting this AU is always fun. I’m glad you like it, Anon!

Whether Vil is a guard or a prisoner, the dynamic between him and Ortho is going to stay relatively the same: Ortho is his little sunshine in this hellhole lol If both of them are guards, Vil probably uses Ortho’s robot functions more than any other guard (except for Idia, obviously). While some of the other guards are either neutral or even a bit distrustful towards Ortho (because he is a robot + because the Shrouds are very detached from the rest of the guards), Vil makes it a point to treat Ortho as an equal. Or at least as a promising protégé who deserves all the praise for his hard work. Whenever he actually works and not just hangs out with Idia at their booth, of course.

If Vil is a prisoner, he really enjoys the days when it’s Ortho’s turn to patrol. Because Ortho always says hi to everyone and stops to chat with Vil specifically for a minute or two. Maybe it’s the fact that Ortho’s views on morality are so weird and his emotional development is at a very awkward stage, but Vil is very drawn to him, so their little chats are highlights of his days. Ortho enjoys it a lot too – he learns a lot from Vil, especially considering the fact that Ortho is into movies and Vil is an actor with a very turbulent life. So yeah, Ortho is probably one of the few people who make Vil smile in this AU.

It depends, Lilia is kind of a menace and sometimes demands his lovers to say things that make no sense and that aren’t even that sexy, just weird. Like animal noises and stuff, but fortunately he didn’t ask Idia to do something like that yet… well. Maybe he told him to meow once. Maybe twice.

Sometimes Lilia goes the classic route and demands his lover to beg to let him cum or forces him to pick between two equally embarrassing options, but it makes Idia so overwhelmed and nervous that he ends up getting hiccups and barely being able to make any coherent sound. It’s always a blur for both of them, because Lilia just says shit without thinking about it, and by the time this happens Idia’s brain is a complete mush oops. I’m so vague with this reply...

Well, compared to what Lilia used to do when he was younger, some degradation is really kind of vanilla… he really mellowed down with age, that Lilia.

Some of the shit that Lilia used to do: physical and emotional torture that lasted for days, public humiliation, orchestrating gangbangs/orgies and participating in them, desecration of his wounded enemies’ bodies, brainwashing, insane and intense kinks, scaring the fuck out of his enemies and haunting them, etc etc etc. It didn’t happen every single time of course, but at his worst Lilia used to be quite scary. Debauchery was his middle name… Lilia Debauchery Vanrouge.

THTH Season 3 Thoughts

It's been awhile since I've done a thoughts post, but we're over halfway now, and I definitely have some thoughts.

Overall, I'm enjoying the season - I adore Taz, and I look forward to playing it every week. However... I also have a lot of criticisms.

The Love Interests

The love interests are carrying this season!! Taz is the only one I'm really in love with, but I think they're all really good and well-rounded, and there's something for everyone. They have a lot of depth, their loyal routes develop at a really nice pace, and I love that they can be customized! They're the best part of the season and imo they're what make it as enjoyable as it is. Unlike...

The OG "Friends"

I hate them all, and I have since the very first week. Sean is a self-centred annoying asshole (I know some people like him and think he just needs to mature, but he's a big fat no from me). Victoria is an ugly bitch who just uses others to get off. Julian has annoyed me from day 1 with his dramatics, and I didn't like Giselle either but she's only gotten worse and worse. Like girl, if you don't even like Sean that much, maybe don't have sex with him? She's being treated as a sympathetic character, but she wasn't being manipulated or emotionally abused, and she could have spoken her mind. Asshole.

I honestly have had no desire to take the options that give friendship points, so my meters are barely filled for any of them and as a result I lost money when they didn't agree with me when I wanted to forfeit $10k when Poppy and Julian were in the suite. Oops.

The FTL Routes

I really like Avi, and while Poppy was annoying at first, I know people who are doing her route are really loving it. I love the slow burn friends-to-lovers thing so I really love this element - however I would have much preferred it if they were OGs. For Avi especially, it didn't really make sense that he kissed us on the date only to immediately friendzone us. I think it would have made so much more sense if he were there from the beginning and we started out purely as friends.

The "Spy" Storyline

Not a fan of this. Bad Lana is one thing (we'll get to that) but I think this just... doesn't make that much sense? idk. I don't have a fully fleshed out opinion on this or how I'd do it differently, but I think it would've been better in a season without Bad Lana.

Bad Lana

I watched the new season of the show where Bad Lana made her appearance, and I do think it's really neat that they were given that info ahead of time to add it to the game. However, I wish they'd followed how it was done in the show, where the Bad Lana ruling period was at the beginning (they did mention that they had this as well and had lots of fun with it), and then the two people who took advantage of it the most were sent into banishment. Having another Bad Lana ruling period (and then adding the banishment which is coming up in the next episode) right in the middle of the show just doesn't work quite as well to me?

Also, what is the point of getting green lights during Bad Lana's ruling period? We could kiss without them anyway!

MC as the Bombshell

I have mixed feelings on this - I loved being the bombshell and getting the free pass, however... there's just no impact. You pick an LI, you automatically connect, and other than Carmen, none of the partners really care? I would've preferred coming into a situation where the couple was actually a couple and I had to work a bit to turn their head (or maybe even switch to the other person, that'd be fun).

Tying this into the Bad Lana point above, I think it would've made a lot more sense if MC were an OG in this season to experience the Bad Lana period at the beginning. Kiss a couple people, get sent to banishment. To me, that would've been a lot more interesting.

Branching

The branching has been fine (although there have been some continuity errors if you stick with the same LI each time), but I think it was better in S2. I remember always being blown away by how much branching there was in S2, and this season just hasn't had that. It's still good and nothing to complain about, but I'd like to see improvements each season, or at least keeping the same level, rather than taking a slight step back.

Especially now that there are some people who are being banished despite not breaking any rules? How does that make sense? At least in S2, you could be eliminated or not depending on your choices.

The Spicy Scenes

These have been great so far, and I love that they're personalized to each LI and stay consistent with their character. No criticisms here!

The Confessionals

I love, love, love that we don't have a whole episode dedicated to confessionals anymore. And no more dumb quizzes

Cliffhangers

Please, for the love of donuts, not every chapter needs to end on some dramatic soap opera cliffhanger. This week alone, the chapters end as follows:

MC is shocked to walk in on Jirayu and Carmen in the sauna

MC is shocked that someone is having sex (despite the fact she literally just had sex in my route)

Lana's announcement

It's just kinda cheesy at this point, especially the 2nd chapter ending. It's Bad Lana's ruling period, people are having sex, what is there to be surprised about? And the fact that sooo many chapters end like this? Walking in on other people, jumping to conclusions, etc. It's getting old. It's one thing if the whole episode has a cliffhanger of some sort (still not really necessary), but each chapter? c'mon. Let's stop with the dramatics.

Background Characters

It's kind of disappointing that if you're not romancing one of the LIs, you just... never see them. The storyline is dominated by the "friends" and your own LI (and Carmen/Jirayu with a minor plotline), and then there's always that one other couple that breaks rules, but otherwise, they all fade into the background. It's a lot like S1 again, whereas one of the things I appreciated about S2 was that the LIs you weren't romancing were still a big part of the story. In S3, if you don't choose their scenes, you just never see them. I hardly know anything about Beatriz, Carmen, or Isla, because I don't take their scenes and barely interact with them. On my Taz route, I've barely spoken to Jirayu or Matthias.

Now that we're pretty much locked in, maybe those characters will start being included more (like in today's episode where we had the chance for a threesome with the couple we've interacted with the least), but I would have really appreciated them being included more up to this point. It's a noticeable change from S2 and since I hate the OG "friend" characters, it's a real negative.

I feel like I had more things to touch on but I've forgotten them, so I'll stop here! Would love to know if you agree, disagree, or have anything else to add!

hello hello, i'm real psyched to be here! i'm sarah (she/they) & i'm here with my spunky girl, choi minsi. i haven't rp'd in forever so bare with me as i get used to it again; i also work a full time job but i will certainly try my best to take time off of my day to dedicate to writing! i have minsi's background all figured out but i haven't had the time to really write it all down so it's not on any pages however! i have her profile with me and mostly completed so you're welcome to check that out. in the meantime, i'll put a bit about her under the cut and hoping i manage to spark up any interactions from it. feel free to like this post if you're interested in plotting and i'll come to you directly ( with other means of contact if you prefer that ).

minsi was not born into a family of fame nor luxury even though her family lineage was fairly well known far into the past since it has been about a decade since their family line had a metahuman born into the world. the last known one happened to have been a super villain and from her father's side of the family and they would much rather keep that buried but they get reminded of it on occasion. her great grandfather however, was a pretty well known aeternal who was a force to be reckon with, literally.

her parents appear to be pretty normal but they were pretty flashy during their time as metahumans themselves; they would much rather live a much quieter life after some years however after minsi was born, they would rather have her thrive despite their uncertainty regarding their own family lineage. her grandfather did have fame and then their family name practically fell ( what a tragedy ~ ).

at first... she didn't think her ability was all that special when she manifested it at the age of nine. they reported her missing at one point and it wasn't until 2 hours later that they found her in a completely different neighborhood ( she came out fine, just they found her exhausted af then continued to sleep the entire day ).

for awhile, she didn't have the greatest control of her powers until she started training at the academy or at least a little before that. her parents always had to watch her like a hawk. at the age of 16, she decides then to get a motorcycle license against her parents wishes. they got mad but y'know, ultimately just wanted her to be careful but then after a month of riding it, she got into a minor little accident while riding it and fell off as it slid across the sidewalk with her still on it, yikes! but thankfully she hit no one, only just a little busted up knee and scratch damages to her motorcycle ( she was wearing a helmet, no worries! ). this was also the time when she used her minor ability to alter movement ( a minor ability that i decided last minute because i am a mess, oops! ) ; this actually saved her from hurting someone too so... yippee?

between that motorcycle incident until she was about 18, she wants to chalk it up to bad luck or something like that. she always seemed to have problems running into bad dudes and delinquents on occasion because she keeps appear in the wrong place at the wrong time trying to use her portals ( recognize her face but can never seem to catch her ). and yeah, a lot of stuff happen as it became a reoccurring thing for awhile but i won't describe them all and make this an even longer post!

her parents became increasingly frustrated of her dumb little antics, which were mostly an accident, mind you and she starts losing more control of her life in a way ( she's tired, man ). she's not sure if she calls herself a hero or anything, thinks that creating portals is something a sidekick would do and a lot of the kids at her school and those around her seem to think so and she didn't seem to mind back then but now she's just conflicted.

around 18, she starts learning mixed martial arts. takes taekwondo classes and practices kickboxing at the gym. this was because she wanted to be able to handle herself better when facing baddies, y'know? and she has gotten quite good at it after committing to it for several months. the people around daemon consider her a very quick opponent because you never know where her punches or kicks are gonna land. think of tifa lockhart from final fantasy 7 and that's how she fights... but without the backflips, she's not that agile.

also since her parents kept bothering her about the training academy, she decided to enter eventually and making waves as a field supporter only to get her rejection letter after graduation. confusion all around because minsi genuinely thought she did a terrific job? and no, she didn't tell her parents about it because she was miffed.

minsi basically moved into the silverline apartments because she mainly wants to find some answers in terms of what kind of hero she actually wants to be or whether or not she wants to be a hero. you'd think after all those encounters with delinquents that it would sway her, right? even after supposedly failing the final assessment no less. maybe being around other metahumans will give her a change in perspective but right now, she harbors slight resentment for aeternals for the moment. from then to now, she had already begun rebuilding herself up and minsi sure did make a name for herself as a metahuman and a fighter.

she of course developed normal person hobbies, mostly streaming. she's a fighting game streamer... games like tekken, guilty gear and street fighter she definitely plays. and occasionally overwatch. she likes comfy cozy games and rpgs too when the mood strikes but she plays that on her own time.

most likely always keeps a snack on her person or candy.

rides a motorcycle! her prized possession pretty much and her main source of transportation. she crashed the very first one she got, now with a new one, by the way. she likes cool cars too but her motorcycle is precious, lmao.

usually has a smile on her face, be it real or faking it. i can say she's friendly? but she doesn't really go out of her way to befriend strangers randomly or anything. when she does interact with someone, purely out of interest / curiosity or something else, she always gotta add some sassy comment. some things coming out of her mouth could be rude but she never rly means it; her intentions are always good. she's truly happy when doing what she enjoys and by eating good food.

possible plots and connections and stuff, yaaay ~

you're a fighter at daemon too and you want to go head to head? or maybe you both happen to have been watching each other's matches for awhile?

of course, of course someone she trained with at the academy and you wonder what she's doing now, wondering if she passed?

you’re also a frequent visitor of pc bang? what game you playin’?

maybe you vaguely remember her on the street before some years ago but never got a chance to talk to her to ask what the hell was going on because she was preoccupied with running away from some bad eggs / maybe small time villains or thugs. you’re thinking, that girl is trouble, right? well, she is. it’s not that she wants to be that person.

that person who she almost ran over with her motorcycle. she didn’t though because of her motion alteration ability so lucky you! she’s okay, if you’re wondering!

i’m always down for having someone that minsi calls a “partner in crime” and also a friend who she can do crazy stuff with. you may be asking, what kind of crazy stuff? well we can think about that!

minsi isn't looking for a relationship or any dates but if you are down for something along those lines, i don't mind it! she'll just be very tsundere about liking someone romantically.

the resident who has been complaining about her the most. she yells sometimes within the comfort of her own room because she was playing an intense game of tekken or something.

Globgor and his family walk through a portal created by the Inter-dimensional Scissors.

“Oh, how they scoffed at us! They said it couldn’t be done! Yet here we are! We’ve collected a national magnet from every dimension known to Mewni! All [redacted] of them!” He grins at his wife while pointing at his mouth. “Check it out, honey! I’m still cursed to where I can’t say the actual number! See? ‘[Redacted]’! Ha! It makes my lips tingle!”

He reaches inside the box he’s brought and pulls out a handful of magnets. He hands them to Meteora. “Alright baby girl, I want you to find every metal surface you can find and go crazy! Display our spoils to the world!”

Meteora salutes before beginning her quest with a determined waddle.

“How long were we gone for anyway?” Eclipsa asks, looking around for any sort of drastic changes.

“Not sure. Time is very inconsistent throughout the multiverse. But I imagine it hasn’t been very long! I mean, I haven’t gotten a single ask on my Tumblr blog since we left! And you know how much our lovely followers like to ask us questions, both insightful and inappropriate!”

Eclipsa purses her lips. “Dear….I don’t think Tumblr is a multi-universal site. Have you checked it since we’ve returned?”

Globgor pulls out his cell phone and taps the app….which suddenly loads up for the first time in awhile.

“……Oops.”

I'm a bit behind, but I just saw the description for Weapon X-Men and... is this just a ripoff of Exiles? Especially that one issue where it was OOPS! All Wolverine! and the point of the issue is that it was a bad idea?

nah it aint an exiles rip off, its got an entirely different plot/motive for them going around to different realities. why a bunch of wolverines? who knows.

also if im remembering correctly, the plot of that exiles issue wasnt making a team of wolverines, it was this guy(brother mutant, ultimate form of wolverine) wanting to bring a bunch of wolverines together to like..take over the world or something? dunno, been awhile since i read it.

reminds me i gotta still post screeenshots from that one....both of em actually.....

#1 & 2: Book Club/Buddy Reads

Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coats - This is one of the official Paul Strickland Approved Reads and it's been on my shelf for awhile now too. It's about time I sit down and read it!

The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden - This book was chosen by one of my friends for our seasonal book club to be read for winter.

#3 & 4: Series to Complete/Continue

Light of Impossible Stars by Gareth L. Powell - This is the 3rd and final book in the Embers of War trilogy. I read the previous book back in 2020... so it's unclear if I will remember the plot enough for this. oops.

Saga Volume 9 by Fiona Staples & Brian K. Vaughan - I've had this volume on my shelf since 2018 when it was published but kept holding off on reading it because the authors had announced going on a break and I heard there was a cliffhanger. They've since come back and started releasing more volumes, so I gotta catch up!

#5 & 6: Series to Start

The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin - Series are a big focus of my personal reading goals in 2024. I own the entire Broken Earth trilogy in physical copies, and they've been staring at me for awhile now and guilting me for buying a whole series without knowing if I like the first book.

Ninefox Gambit by Yoon Ha Lee - I was smart enough with this one to at least purchase just the first book and not the entire Machineries of Empire series. However, I have owned this since 2018. Why haven't I read it yet???

#7 & 8: Indigenous Fiction

Ceremony by Leslie Marmon Silko - I was in an online Indigenous Reading Book Club for a little bit and this was one of the books we were supposed to read for that. and I never did. Must fix my prior mistakes!

There There by Tommy Orange - I've heard great things about this book and Tommy Orange is releasing a second novel this year that I hear has ties to this one.

#9 & 10: Books that have been on my TBR for the longest

One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez - I've had this on my digital TBR since August of 2009... 2 0 0 9! WTF!

Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut - This one has been on there since December of 2010. Not much better at all. What have I been doing all these years??

Also about my RW Aberration Au, it's essentially an alternate world/universe of the original Rain World where rather than reawakening back into the Great Cycle after death, you only live once, being trapped within the cycle even after their demise. The whole AU is really just a world building playground for me to play around with off-string iterators and write regions concepts, creature ideas, and other lore stuff. Here is the (6th, probably 7th time I've revised) timeline of RWA. The world's setting (including its architecture and other structures built) are much more futuristic than what you see in Rain World, possessing flora that have adapted to RWA's acidic rains over eons.

There is a very very VERY high possibility of me just rewriting this again since I made this awhile back so.. Oops-

For Isle Iterators, they're really just futuristic versions of Iterators. Here's more information about them below

I've started RWA back in July, 29, 2023 where me and my friend were talking about Saint's ending and thought of making an AU post-Saint. As of right now, the full document has been rewritten about 3 to 5 times, totaling up to 300k+ words.

Also sorry for not answering asks for a while, something happened a couple of days ago and it's making me really anxious of looking into my inbox :') /negative. (I'll still try my best to answer them all, it'll just take longer than usual).

have you met bailu yet? jy always goes to meet her once a year under the guise of a full body checkup which he most definitely doesn't need (bailu’s words) and brings with him the most delicious foods from all over the loufu that bailu loves 😭😭 bailu usually runs away from the commission where she’s strictly kept so this is basically her getting a whole day as a break where she can happily eat all the delicious food as much as she wants and jy also asks about how she’s doing and her health and stuff LIKEEE i swear you think you can't fall more in love with him AND THEN HE PROVES U WRONG 😭😭💔
