@simplesimraced
I think you're very brave for still going through it anyway, though! It takes a lot to face something you're terrified of just because you know it's for your own good in the long run. I should know, it took me a lot until I decided to face my fear of water in order to perform rescues in the river or the sea! I'm still terrified of water, but I know I gotta do it anyway, besides I know my friends support me.
I'm not an expert, but maybe next times you need a vaccine, you can use earphones and blast some music you like, or have a video on your phone to watch and pay attention to it while they'll deliver the shot. The smaller needle won't always help because you keep remembering it's still a needle anyway, but if you take you attention away from it, you'll eventually forget it's even there to begin with, and next thing you know, it's already done!
#simplesimraced#(( Opening an exception because these things are important to be addressed!! ))#(( Sorry for delay my day (and night) were absolutely chaotic and I'm publishing this right now past 4am here ))#(( I'll go get something to eat and then sleep like the dead while the scheduled posts will be published during the day up to next night ))#Paw Patrol#Rocky#Zuma#Paw Patrol Rocky#Paw Patrol Zuma

nothing prepared me for the piarles queen joining the landoscar ship đ
anon đđ
well, first and foremost... "piarles queen," my ass. you're terribly kind to call me that, but it couldn't be further from the truth đ i haven't been a very good piarlie at all lately, least of all when it comes to writing!! *checks AO3 and winces* yeah.... yeah.
SECONDLY! if it helps any đ„Č the whole landoscar thing took ME by surprise, too!! even six months ago, i was still firmly on board the "pffft, how would it even work between those two? as IF" train. but then... well. i blame my besties, actually - most specifically the lovely @welightitup, who sent me insta reels of that finish the lyric challenge/oscar "heart eyes" piastri moment and persuaded me to give a fic or two a try. and yeah, i'm afraid it's only been downhill from there - now, i not only see how they'd work together, but i'm also plotting a fic of my own for them. whoops. (but really: i'm just a girl, and when i started noticing the way oscar LOOKS at him, and the way lando acts around him, and the way they're everything you wouldn't expect to work but somehow it DOES work almost perfectly... yeah. YEAH.)
long story short - i'm in my landoscar era now đđ§Ą
#BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN I DON'T STILL LOVE PIARLES!! because believe me... i'm still as insane about them as ever#i just have TWO insanities now đ (and as a chaotic bisexual; all i'm saying is that 2 things is a GOOD thing!! đđ€)#asks & answers#anon#ahhh anon the way i both giggled and winced a bit when i saw this ask...#đđ§Ą#yeah. the brainrot is real unfortunately#sorry for the diversion from my regularly scheduled piarles programming but uhhhh...#this might become a thing i fear#(like i said tho... do NOT worry that i have forgotten about piarles or anything like that)#(i could NEVER. they have taken up residence in my brain and paid off the house in 2022 already. they're here to STAY baby)#anyways YEAH!#that's the tea on me & landoscar; more or less đ€Łđ#i'm not sure what kind of an answer you were hoping for; but here you go anyway anon <3

Disability, cptsd, and adhd really has turned me intoâŠegh. A planner. Not because I want to be. But because I either need to figure things out well ahead or I forget or avoid them, or because I canât set them down mentally.

WATASHI NO AIDORU SAMA!

summary: IN WHICH BLLK BOYS DATE AN IDOL!
characters: isagi yoichi, bachira meguru, itoshi rin, nagi seishiro, mikage reo, chigiri hyoma, hiori yo, shidou ryusei, itoshi sae, michael kaiser, alexis ness.
warning: fem! reader implied
isagi yoichi
isagi is in awe of you. your determination, charm, and the way you captivate an audienceâheâs lowkey your #1 fan. heâs also the boyfriend who overthinks everything. is he doing enough? are you eating properly? is his goodnight text too basic? but when youâre overwhelmed by the pressures of being an idol, heâs the one who brings you back down to earth with his soft smiles and reassuring words.
when he attends your concerts, he tries to keep a low profile, but the way he beams when you glance at him gives him away every time.
"yoichi, they caught you smiling like a lovesick puppy in the crowd."
"but you looked so cool up there! how could I not?!"
"next time, at least wear sunglasses."
"then how will you see me cheering for you?"
bachira meguru
bachira lives for the drama of dating you. the glitz and glam? he loves it. sneaking into your dressing room mid-rehearsal? absolutely. he thrives on making you laugh, especially when the idol world feels too suffocating. he even suggests the most ridiculous disguises when you want to go out, like matching frog hats or dressing up as old people.
heâs also not shy about flaunting your relationship, sending chaotic selfies to your fan club and saying, âarenât we cute?â yeah, heâs banned from your socials now.
"bachira, stop posting pictures of us!"
"what? they love me. look, 10k likes already!"
"i will revoke your access to my phone."
"awwww :("
itoshi rin
rin doesnât care about fame, but oh boy, he cares about you. the media knows him as the stoic, no-nonsense soccer prodigy, but behind closed doors, heâs your biggest supporter. he secretly streams your performances and even sets your songs as his alarm (though heâll deny it if you ever find out). when youâre busy with schedules, rin shows his love in quiet waysâmaking sure you eat, sending random texts like, âdonât overwork yourself. i mean it.â
but paparazzi catching him sneaking into your concerts? yeah, thatâs not part of his plan.
"you know they saw you, right?"
"tch. who cares?"
"rin, theyâre calling you my biggest fanboy on twitter."
"...well, theyâre not wrong."
nagi seishiro
nagi finds your idol schedule exhausting just hearing about it. but he loves you, so he makes the effort. heâs the type to show up to your rehearsals half-asleep, holding your favorite snacks. when youâre performing, though, heâs laser-focused, recording every moment because âyou look cool up there.â
he also doesnât get jealous often, but when a fanboy gets too enthusiastic, heâll casually sling an arm around your shoulder and deadpan, âsheâs taken.â
"sei, were you napping backstage?"
"mm. comfy couch."
"youâre unbelievable."
"but i got your favorite chips."
"...okay, forgiven."
mikage reo
reo is the ultimate boyfriend-slash-manager. need help with your contract? done. overwhelmed with schedules? heâs already booked a spa day for you. heâs your rock in the chaotic idol world, always reminding you that itâs okay to take a break.
he also spoils you shamelesslyâdesigner dresses for red carpets, private dinners after concerts, and the fanciest bouquets delivered to your dressing room.
"reo, you didnât have to buy out the whole bakery just because i said i liked their croissants."
"but you deserve the best."
"...iâm keeping the chocolate ones."
"all yours, my love."
chigiri hyoma
chigiri gets it. as someone constantly in the spotlight himself, he knows how draining it can be. heâs always there to hype you up, whether itâs helping you perfect a dance move or rehearsing lines for interviews. when you feel insecure, heâs the first to remind you of how talented and beautiful you are.
his favorite moments are when itâs just the two of youâno cameras, no fans, just quiet walks or lazy afternoons.
"hyo, do you think iâm doing okay?"
"youâre doing amazing. and even if the whole world doesnât see it, i do."
"youâre too sweet."
"only for you."
hiori yo
hiori loves your passion for performing, but he worries about how much it takes out of you. heâs the type to leave little notes in your bagâ"youâve got this!" or "donât forget to eat!"âand surprise you with coffee during long rehearsals.
he doesnât love the spotlight, but for you? heâll put up with it, even if it means sitting front-row at your concerts surrounded by screaming fans.
"yo, are you okay? you looked uncomfortable out there."
"yeah, iâm fine. just not used to being around so many people."
"next time, iâll get you noise-canceling headphones."
"iâll wear them if they have your voice recorded on loop."
shidou ryusei
shidou lives for the chaos of your idol life. paparazzi? fans? scandals? bring it on. he thrives on being the center of attention, especially when it involves you. heâs the boyfriend who gets caught sneaking onto stage mid-performance just to blow you a kiss.
heâs also fiercely protective, ready to throw hands with anyone who disrespects you. but when itâs just the two of you, heâs surprisingly soft, reminding you why you fell for him in the first place.
"ryu, you canât just interrupt my concerts!"
"what? they loved it. besides, i missed you."
"you saw me five minutes ago!"
"five minutes too long."
itoshi sae
sae isnât the best at expressing his feelings, but his actions speak volumes. he doesnât show up to your events often, but when he does, itâs with flowers in hand and a rare smile just for you. he admires your dedication but worries youâre pushing yourself too hard.
heâs also your harshest yet most supportive critic, always giving honest feedback because he wants you to be your best.
"sae, was my performance okay?"
"it was good. but you can do better."
"...you couldâve just said youâre proud of me."
"i am. but you already knew that."
michael kaiser
kaiser adores the spotlight, and dating you? it only adds to his charm. he loves flaunting your relationship, whether itâs through matching outfits or casually mentioning you in interviews. heâs cocky, but his support is unwavering, always hyping you up like your personal cheerleader.
heâs also lowkey competitive, challenging you to see who can trend on social media first after a big event. spoiler: you always win.
"kaiser, stop refreshing twitter."
"i need to know if weâre trending."
"youâre ridiculous."
"ridiculously in love with you."
alexis ness
ness is the sweetest, most wholesome boyfriend. heâs constantly in awe of your talent and works hard to make you feel appreciated, from writing you letters to learning your favorite songs on the piano. heâs also your biggest fan, always gushing about you to anyone whoâll listen.
he gets flustered when fans recognize him as âyour boyfriendâ but secretly loves it.
"ness, are you blushing?"
"n-no! i justâyour fans are so nice."
"youâre adorable."
"not as adorable as you."

I know stereotypes are bad, but letâs be honestâevery trans girl has a vibe. So tell me, which one are you?
A cute hacker girl fueled exclusively by energy drinks â You type at lightning speed, have a questionable sleep schedule, and may or may not be a digital cryptid. Bonus points if you can do eyeliner so sharp it doubles as a weapon.
A literal cat/dog (kitten/puppy also valid options) â You either radiate smug feline energy or are the human embodiment of "wagging tail, big eyes, head pats please." No in-between.
Target mom â You have opinions on scented candles, will absolutely offer to buy your friends snacks, and could run a household with military efficiency if you werenât so busy being cute.
Three communist manifestos in a trench coat trying to add others to their cause â You own at least one tattered copy of The Communist Manifesto, believe transition should be free, and could (and would) unionize a girlâs night out.
Teenage witch â You collect shiny rocks, youâve considered hexing a TERF, and your idea of self-care involves moon water and aggressively manifesting a hotter body.
OH NO A LITERAL GOBLIN! â You hoard shinies, giggle mischievously, and the concept of âpretty girlâ and âchaotic gremlinâ are one and the same to you.
A vampire with an addiction to fluffy things â Yes, you are the night. But also, you need a soft blanket, thigh-high socks, and a collection of plushies to survive.
A faerie who steals genders and scrambles eggs â You donât just crack eggs; you turn them into omelets. Gender is yours to redistribute. Watch out, because if you so much as look at someone, they might start questioning things.
A 1950s housewife but horny and super progressive â You bake, youâre adorable, and youâre absolutely calling someone âdarlingâ while making them question their sexuality.
Goth was never just a phase, itâs a lifestyle â Your wardrobe is mostly black, your eyeliner could kill a man, and youâve perfected the balance between spooky and sapphic.
Goth but discovering the color brown (steampunk) â You have very strong opinions on corsets, pocket watches, and the intersection of sapphic romance and gears.
Cottagecore is my goal in life â You dream of a cozy cottage in the woods where you and your cute wife bake bread, tend to your garden, and forget what capitalism is.
I choose you, random fetish! â You didnât mean to be this way, but here you are. Your interests are niche, intense, and probably make people blush when you explain them.
So, which one (or ones) are you? Or are you something even gayer?

Overworked

Pairing: Pro Hero! Katsuki Bakugou x Stressed! Reader
Summary: Life is shit and Katsuki finds out you lied to him about taking care of yourself.
And you know what happens when you lie to Katsuki.
I wrote this for my friend @elarakive, she's been going through it so please give her some love y'all.
WC: 16,709
On with the show!!~
âI shouldâve become a stripper in Miami.â
You staggered into your apartment, your body and mind exhausted from the endless cycle of school and work. The clock ticked mercilessly as you rushed to grab your work bag and change. Your commute home took about 20 minutes today, and there was barely enough time to catch your breath, let alone eat.
Sighing, you kicked off your shoes quickly before rushing into your small, cluttered room, your shoulders heavy with the weight of responsibility. The relentless cycle of school and work had left you in a mental fog, and the ticking clock seemed to mock your frantic rush. You had barely an hour to spare before your next shift, and the minutes slipped through your fingers like sand.
With trembling hands, you fumbled through your work bag, grabbing the essentials as you hurriedly changed into your work uniform. The sight of your reflection in the hallway mirror was a stark reminder of how far gone you wereâdark circles under your eyes, hair a disheveled mess, and a look of defeat that you couldnât quite hide.Â
âFuck it, we ball with the consealer today.â
Rushing to the bathroom, you hurriedly adjusted your makeup in the bathroom mirror, the smudged eyeliner and messy foundation reflecting the chaos of your life. Every moment felt like a race against time as you dabbed concealer under your eyes, trying to mask the fatigue that had become your constant companion.Â
You had to look good while in class. You have to look good at work so you can make those big bucks to pay for things that ultimately make you feel sick everytime you think about it. Like your rent, the car, the utilities, tuition payments, groceries, laundry supplies, toiletpaper, pads/tampons. Also Tynolonal because your little dehydrated ass kept getting migraines that you ironically didnât take because you still wanted a working liver.Â
In the midst of your chaotic routine, your phone buzzed with a notification: an unexpected double shift for the week. Your heart sank as you read the message. When you finally got a weekend off, it was swallowed up by studying, cleaning, and chores. Sleep was becoming a rare luxury, and your mental fog seemed to thicken with each passing day.
At work, the pressure has been relentless. Your manager's latest demand to pull full shifts this week felt like the last straw. As you stared at your schedule, the weight of it all crashed down on you. You wanted to cry, but you couldn't afford to break downânot with your job hanging in the balance. The only time you had to eat was during your brief lunch break at work, which you barely managed to find time for.
It felt like there was no end to the mounting responsibilities, and the weekend youâd managed to carve out for yourself was swallowed up by endless studying, chores, and barely enough sleep to keep you functional.
In the cramped kitchen, you grabbed a quick bite, your meal consisting of whatever was quickest to prepare. (A literal slice of bread.) The clock continued its relentless ticking, and you knew you were cutting it close. The idea of collapsing into bed, even for just a moment, was a sinfully tempting dream.
As you raced to gather your things, your mind was a jumble of deadlines and schedules. You barely noticed when your cell rang with its familiar âKiss me through the phone!â ringtone to indicate that your boyfriend was calling.Â
âđ„° đ€Ź Kat-Suki đ©·đ§Ą  is callingâŠ..â
Heart fluttering, you nearly dropped the concealer wand on your blank uniform polo to snatch your phone off the counter and hit answer.Â
âDamn it, whatâs going on with you?â Katsukiâs voice cut through the haze of your stress, his usual bravado softened by genuine worry as the video connected.Â
âYou look like youâre about to drop.â
You paused, caught off guard by his sudden appearance and the intensity of his gaze. âJust⊠busy,â you managed to say, trying to muster a weak smile. âIâve got a lot on my plate.â
Katsukiâs eyes narrowed, his expression growing more serious. âThis ainât just busy. Youâre running yourself ragged. What the hell are ya doing to yourself?â
With a frustrated sigh, you grabbed the phone and tucked it into the front of your bra, the slight pressure reminding you that you needed to hurry. Balancing your phone precariously, you snatched up your work bag and keys, your hands clumsy with the rush. Your fingers were already cold from the constant running around, and you fought the urge to drop everything as you made your way to the car.
The engine roared to life as you slid into the driverâs seat and connected your phone to the Bluetooth system. Katsukiâs voice crackled through the speakers, a gruff but familiar comfort amidst the car noises.Â
âHey, you there?â
âYeah, yeah, Iâm here,â you replied, blowing a raspberry into the phone. The sound was a mix of frustration and exhaustion, and you could almost hear Katsukiâs brow raise as he responded.
âYou sound outta breath. Whatâs the deal?â
You chuckled softly, though it was more of a tired exhale. âJust the usual,â you said, your eyes darting between the road and the clock on the dashboard. âRunning late, trying to get everything done. Itâs been a mess.â
Katsukiâs voice grew more insistent. âAre ya eating properly? Getting enough sleep? You know, ya need to take care of yourself.â
You huffed, trying to focus on the road while keeping up with the conversation. âIâm eating, sleep is a luxury right now. Iâm managing, Katsuki.â
His voice softened, though it still carried an edge of concern. âThatâs not an answer, you know. You sound like youâre pushing yourself too hard. I donât want you burning out.â
You adjusted the carâs air conditioning, the cool breeze a slight relief against the heat of your exhaustion. âIâm fine. Just got a lot on my plate. You know how it is.â
âWell, if you say so,â Katsuki said, though the worry in his tone was evident. âJust make sure youâre not running on empty. I want to see you in one piece when I get back.â
The call ended as you pulled into the parking lot of your workplace. You felt a pang of guilt but pushed it aside as you grabbed your work bag and keys, the day ahead looming large.
âIâm in the parking lot. So Iâll call you when I get out, okay?â
â âS fine with me.â
âK, bye.â
You blew a smooch into the phone and quickly hung up before you could cry. Itâs not like you wanted to lie to Katsuki. Your boyfriend was THE human lie detector and hated liars. But you also didnât want to worry him while he was out on missions. But alas, those were all thoughts for later as you gently turned off the car and put your game face on before getting out the car and making your way towards the building.Â
đđ„đđ„đđ„đđ„đđ„
Your shift at work was as rough as youâd anticipated. Your manager was insistent about you picking up extra hours, their voice rising in frustration over minor issues. Customers were grumpy, complaints frequent, and the constant flow of tasks left you feeling drained.Â
The office felt like a maze of gray cubicles and muted tones, the hum of fluorescent lights buzzing softly overhead. As you sat at your desk, the familiar clutter of technical documents and graphic layouts surrounded you. The scent of strong coffee lingered in the air, mingling with the faint aroma of printer ink. You rubbed your eyes, a sigh escaping your lips as you pushed through another round of proofreading.
Just then, your phone buzzed, and you fumbled to pull it from your drawer, glancing at the screen to see a message from Masha in HR. It was a reminder about the formal complaint you needed to submit to get your overdue salary processed. You frowned, the weight of the situation settling heavily on your shoulders.
âAnother thing to deal with,â you muttered, tapping out a quick response before setting the phone aside. Your fingers flew over the keyboard, drafting the formal complaint with a precision that belied your growing exhaustion. Every keystroke felt like an effort, each sentence a struggle to convey the frustration and urgency of your situation.
The clock ticked slowly, its rhythmic ticking amplifying the silence of the office as colleagues murmured and typed away in their own bubbles. You glanced at the pile of papers on your deskâtechnical documents, project briefs, and some rough sketches for graphics that youâd been tasked with. The contrast between your university days, filled with creative media projects and dynamic video production, and this monotonous office job was striking.Â
You missed the excitement of storytelling and visual creation, but here you were, grinding away for the paycheck that barely seemed worth the effort right now.
Rent was due next week, and the thought of it gnawed at your mind. You tapped your pen nervously against the desk, trying to suppress the mounting anxiety. Your minimal savings were earmarked for tuition, and borrowing money from anyone, let alone Katsuki, was not an option you wanted to consider. The last thing you needed was for him to find out and make a fuss about it, turning your personal financial troubles into a point of contention.
As you took a deep breath and hit âsendâ on the formal complaint, the stress of the past few weeks seemed to coalesce into a single, throbbing headache. Your hands were trembling slightly as you reached for the small, lukewarm cup of coffee on your desk, the caffeine offering a temporary, hollow comfort.
âHey, can you cover this layout for me?â your colleague, Jenna, asked as she leaned over your cubicle wall. Her voice was chipper, a sharp contrast to the mental fog you were drowning in.
âSure,â you said, forcing a smile as you accepted the additional task. Your mind drifted to the weekend, a distant hope of relaxation and a momentary escape from the whirlwind of deadlines and obligations. But even that felt out of reach as you buried yourself in work, hoping that somewhere amidst the chaos, a solution would present itself.
The minutes stretched into hours, the ticking of the clock a relentless reminder of how quickly time was slipping away. As the workday dragged on, your thoughts constantly circled back to your financial situation and how you might manage to cover rent without dipping into your savings or burdening anyone else. The weight of it all felt almost unbearable, and you silently wished for a moment of reprieve.
đđ„đđ„đđ„đđ„đđ„
Finally, with mercy, your shift finally ended, you felt a wave of relief wash over you, but it was quickly overshadowed by exhaustion. You shuffled out of the office, your steps heavy and laden with fatigue.
The breakroom coffee youâd chugged was doing its best to keep you awake, but the jolt of caffeine did little to ease the sleepy buzz that had settled over you.
Your drive home was a blur, punctuated only by the occasional beep of your carâs dashboard and the monotonous hum of the engine. When you finally pulled into your parking spot, a sense of dread washed over you as you fished out your phone to check the latest update on your pay. The notification confirmed what you feared: your salary wouldnât be processed for another week.
A gasp of frustration and disbelief escaped your lips, the sound echoing in the confined space of your car. You slammed your hands on the steering wheel, barely containing the urge to scream. The crushing weight of bills, looming deadlines, and the crushing reality of your financial situation finally broke through your walls of composure. Tears sprang to your eyes, spilling over as you let the frustration and sadness flow freely.
The emotional release was almost too much to bear, and as the tears flowed, the inside of your carâs windows fogged up, the steamy haze blurring your vision. You cracked the windows slightly, hoping to let some of the oppressive heat and steam escape.Â
As the cool air started to seep in, you caught sight of Katsukiâs footprints on your windshieldâevidence of the time heâd spent with his dogs on your dashboard, walking them around while you were driving. The sight of his footprint, a tangible reminder of his absence, made your heart ache even more.
The memory of him removing his footing while you had been driving around, convinced youâd seen a turtle on the side of the road, flashed through your mind.
Turns out it was a really moldy round rock and while you wanted to keep it, Katsuki made you leave the so-called âturtle,â which heâd dismissed as a weird rock, insisting it might be cursed and, âI donât fuck with no spooky shit.â The thought of his spiky but playful protective nature contrasted sharply with the weight of your current situation.
Your mascara had bled and smeared, leaving dark streaks on your cheeks. You fumbled for tissues in the glove compartmentâanother thoughtful gift from Katsuki. With shaking hands, you dabbed at your face, trying to clean up the smudged makeup and regain some semblance of composure.Â
But fuck the tissues because you wanted Katuski to wipe your tears, not Puffs with lotion.Â
Taking a deep breath, you grabbed your work bag and keys from the passenger seat. Despite the fact that you had no classes tomorrowâa silver lining provided by Mrs. Yamadaâs decision to cancel due to the pleasant weatherâyou felt an emotional heaviness. You forced yourself to get out of the car, each step toward the building feeling like a mile.
The elevator ride up to your floor was a quiet, solitary journey. You leaned against the wall, trying to steady your breathing and calm your racing thoughts. When the elevator doors finally opened, you walked down the hallway with heavy steps, each footfall echoing your exhaustion and frustration.
You reached your door and, with a tired sigh, unlocked it and stepped inside. The familiar, quiet space of your apartment was both a refuge and a reminder of everything you were trying to manage. The world outside was still bustling, but here, in this small sanctuary, you could finally let down your guard.
Letting out another deep breath as you took in the comforting but humble surroundings. Your mind wandered to the weekend ahead, hoping for some respite and relaxation despite everything else. For now, you allowed yourself a moment to just be, to acknowledge the fucked up situation you were in and space out before you would have to be an active adult again.Â
You slid down against the door, exhaustion making every movement feel labored. The cool, hard floor felt oddly comforting against your back as you contemplated the idea of slipping off your shoes and socks and crawling straight into bed. Your tired eyes were barely open when an unexpected, tantalizing scent wafted through the air, making you blink in confusion.
The smell was warm and inviting, reminiscent of the cozy autumn walks you take with Katsuki. The memory of him lifting you onto his shoulders while you collected pinecones, playfully biting your ankles when you took âtoo longâ to pick out your favorites, made you smile through your tears. The scent brought a fleeting sense of comfort, but the question of who had been in your apartment and left it smelling so fresh and pleasant nagged at the back of your mind.
You pushed yourself up, the weariness making your movements slow and deliberate. As you wandered further into your apartment, you couldnât shake the feeling of disbelief. Your living space, which had been cluttered and messy, was now impeccably clean, as if it had been professionally cleaned. The familiar scent of pine and a hint of something else filled the air, wrapping around you like a warm, fragrant embrace.
Shaking off the disorientation, you followed the delicious aroma to the kitchen. Your eyes widened as you saw a pot of rice and another pot of rich, spicy beef and vegetable stew cooling on the stove. The sight was almost surrealâyour kitchen, which had been a chaotic mess just hours before, was now a haven of culinary comfort. The thought of someone cooking for you, despite your exhaustion, brought a mix of relief and confusion.
âWhat the fuck?!â
You blinked once, twice, harshly, trying to process the scene before you. With a mixture of curiosity and wariness, you padded softly back to the living room, hoping to make sense of the situation. The only light on was the soft glow of the lamp in the bathroom, casting a warm, clean light across the hallway and into your living room. The air was still, save for the faint sound of shuffling coming from your bedroom.
Heart racing, you moved toward the sound, each step slow and cautious. The clean scent from the bathroom lingered, and you couldnât help but notice how fresh and tidy it now seemed. You glanced back at the living room, which, in contrast to your earlier mess, now looked immaculate and inviting.
Heart pounding, you crept down the hallway, each step slow and deliberate. The freshly cleaned scent in the air did nothing to ease your anxiety. The apartment was spotlessâtoo spotless. Your mind raced, trying to make sense of it all. Maybe Michael had come back early and done this as a surprise? Or maybe Shoto, Izuku, or Jirou had somehow managed to sneak in, tidy everything, and leave without telling you.Â
After all, only Michael, Kirishima, and Shoto or Izuku had keys to your place in case of emergencies.
But Katsuki? He was out of state. He wouldnât be back for a while, and even if he had sent one of those cleaning services, they were always in and out in less than 30 minutes.Â
This... this wasnât right.
Your gaze darted toward the door. The shuffling sound from your bedroom had stopped. Panic began to settle in, a rising tension that had you frozen on the spot. You considered calling for help, but your phone was still on the floor by your purse, forgotten in the rush of trying to figure out what was happening. You didnât want to lose the element of surprise.
With a nervous breath, you reached for the flower vase sitting on the narrow hallway table. The roses inside were fresh, their deep crimson petals just beginning to open up. You mentally apologized to them as you dumped the flowers onto the floor, water splashing around the vase. Your hands moved swiftly, reaching inside for the TTI Glock 34 hidden beneath the stems. The cold metal felt heavier than usual in your hand, but you werenât about to hesitate.Â
You werenât going to die in your own apartmentânot like this.
Holding your breath, you stalked closer to the bathroom. You could hear the faint echo of your heart beating in your ears. Quietly, with practiced precision, you closed the door behind you without letting it click, trapping the scent of cleanliness inside. There was no turning back now. The apartment had become unfamiliar, and whoever or whatever was in your room needed to be dealt with.
You crept toward the bedroom, the hairs on the back of your neck standing up as you got closer. The shifting sounds had stopped. Whoever it was, they were still inside. You crouched, gun in hand, every muscle tensed as you approached the door. Then, without warning, the door to your bedroom swung open with a loud
"BAM!"
The sound reverberated through the walls as darkness loomed before you. Instinct took over.
You fired two quick shots into the void, the deafening bangs ringing in your ears. The muzzle flashes lit up the shadows, revealing nothing but an empty room. Your heart hammered in your chest as you stared into the stillness.Â
Silence.
"Fuck this!" you muttered under your breath, adrenaline kicking into high gear.
Without thinking twice, you bolted down the hallway. Your feet were heavy, thudding against the carpet as you ran, and the door to your apartment swung open behind you. You burst into the dimly lit hallway, the dingy orange carpet and faded yellow lighting never looking so welcoming. The familiar smell of old apartments and chipped paint wrapped around you as you sprinted toward the elevator.
Your breaths came in ragged gasps, your legs pumping as fast as they could. Most of your neighbors were either still at work or too old to have heard the gunshots, but there was no way you were sticking around to find out. You slapped the elevator button, glancing nervously back down the hallway.
You stood in front of the doors waiting, breathless and confused, waiting for the sound of footsteps or the telltale signs of someone chasing after you.Â
But⊠nothing.Â
The air was still, almost too still, and when you turned around, your heart pounding in your throat, you saw nothing. No one was following you. No shadowy figure, no intruder, no ominous movement at all.Â
Just you.
That rush of fear was starting to ebb away, replaced by an unsettling new sensationâdoubt. Did you get them? The thought made your heart skip, but worse than that, another horrifying possibility crept in:Â
Did you kill someone?
Your stomach dropped as if you'd just fallen from a cliff. The idea of itâof accidentally shooting someone, maybe even someone who had no intention of hurting youâwas almost too much to bear.
You pressed a shaky hand against the wall, your mind racing.
What would happen if it was true? What if you had killed someone in a panic? Your knees felt weak, and the edges of your vision blurred with panic.
âWhat would happen to me? What would happen to Katsuki when they found out his girlfriend had killed someone? The girlfriend of the Number 2 Pro Hero, a murderer?â
âWhatâs Katsuki gonna do?â
The thought sent a cold wave of nausea through you. You wanted to throw up right there in the hallway, but your stomach was so empty that all you could do was dry swallow, your mouth tasting like metal and dread. âWhat would the courts say? Would I go to jail? What would happen to Katsuki's career?âÂ
Your thoughts spiraled, knotting together into an unbearable weight pressing down on your chest.
You swallowed hard, trying to force the rising panic back down. The hallway around you blurred for a second, the dim, dingy orange carpet now looking stainedâlike it was soaked in blood. You blinked hard, shaking your head.Â
It was just the light, just your mind playing tricks on you. You forced yourself to look away from the carpet, your eyes trailing back to your apartment door. It was still ajar, spilling the warm, pale hallway light into the void of your dark apartment. The contrast was jarringâthe safe, slightly worn familiarity of the hallway outside clashing with the pitch-black uncertainty inside your home.
Your home.
You pressed your back against the wall, trying to steady yourself. âYou couldnât leave this unfinished. If you did accidentally kill someone, youâd have to take responsibility. You had to know.â And if it was an intruder, then, well... that was another layer of mess you'd have to deal with.
But God, you were so done.
The exhaustion from the double shifts, the lack of sleep, the unpaid billsâit all weighed you down, made your legs feel like lead as you slowly moved forward. Maybe that's why you found yourself inching toward your open door instead of running away.
Maybe that's why, instead of thinking clearly, you fumbled with your purse, your fingers shaking as you dug through it to find your phone. Instead of flicking on the light switch by the door, you opened the flashlight app, shining its weak beam into the suffocating darkness of your apartment.
The soft glow from your phone barely penetrated the void, but it was enough to make out familiar shapesâthe edge of your coffee table, the corner of the couch, the faint outline of your kitchen down the hall. It almost looked normal. Almost. But something was wrong. You could feel it in your bones.
And then you felt it.
Before you could even process what was happening, something hot and large clamped down around your arm. A flash of pure, raw panic shot through you, freezing your blood in your veins. Your heart leapt into your throat, and you barely had time to let out a sharp, breathless gasp before another handâbigger, strongerâcovered your mouth, smothering any scream you couldâve made.
The force of it drove you backward, your body colliding with the floor as the figure pulled you into the apartment. The scent of clean linen and something warmer filled your senses, overpowering everything else. You thrashed instinctively, your pulse roaring in your ears, but the grip on you didnât falter.Â
The hand around your mouth tightened, silencing you even as you tried to cry out.
Your mind raced, trying to piece together what was happening. You couldnât see anything except the faint glow of your phone, now flickering as it dropped from your hands onto the floor. Your gunââWhere the hell was your gun?!â
It was smacked outta your hand when the figure grabbed you, and now, it was probably somewhere in the apartment, out of reach.
âStop fuckinâ squirming,â a low voice growled against your ear, sending a violent shiver down your spine.
The voice was familiarâso achingly familiar that your panic began to wane just enough for recognition to slip through the fog of fear. The heat of his breath, the roughness of his palm, the way his body radiated warmth even through the tension. You blinked hard, gasping into the hand that covered your mouth, your mind racing to catch up.
âKatsuki?â Your voice was muffled, barely audible against his skin.
His grip loosened a fraction, his palm sliding off your mouth just enough for you to catch a real breath. You gasped for air, your chest heaving as you tried to process everything.Â
The fear, the relief, the utter confusion.
"Yeah," he muttered, his voice rough and low. He didnât release you right away, keeping you firmly against him, his hot breath still brushing against your ear. "The hell were you thinking? Firing like that in the dark? You couldâve fuckinâ shot me!"
You slumped against him, half in shock, half in frustration. Your heart was still pounding, your limbs still trembling, but the flood of relief that came with recognizing his voice nearly brought you to tears. He was here. He wasnât supposed to be, but he was.
âI didnât know it was you,â you rasped, your voice shaky as you fought to steady your breathing. âWhy the hell are you sneaking around my apartment?! I thought I was gonna die!â
Katsukiâs deadpan expression barely shifted as he lifted you up and unceremoniously dropped you onto the sofa. The cushions sighed under your weight, but before you could even adjust yourself, he was already stalking across the room.
His broad back was tense, and the muscles of his arms flexed beneath his shirt as he moved with precision, a wolf-like focus in the way he carried himself.
"Okay, letâs start with this," he began, his tone rough and low, his eyes flickering briefly over his shoulder at you. âI'm glad you can defend yourself. If I was some regular asshole, I'd be dead for sure.â
You blinked at him, still in disbelief, trying to process everything that had just happened. Your heart was still pounding, your body still reeling from the shock, and yet here he was, as calm as ever. He flipped on the hallway light with a casual flick, casting a soft glow over the apartment.
âStay,â he huffed, his voice gruff, as if you were some unruly puppy he needed to wrangle.
He moved toward the dining area, and you turned your head to follow his movements. You watched as his calloused fingers picked up your steel pieceâyour gunâfrom where it had fallen, handling it with ease.
There was no hesitation in the way he moved, no sign of the earlier chaos as he handled the weapon. It was like he had done this a thousand times before, like the situation was perfectly normal for him.
You craned your neck a little more, catching sight of him as he knelt to collect the discarded roses from the hallway floor. He carefully placed your gun back into the vase where you had originally stashed it, as if putting everything back in its proper order, like nothing had happened. His shadow moved fluidly across the walls as he did so, and the tension in the air didnât lessenâif anything, it deepened.
And then, he turned back toward you, his face unreadable, but those vermillion eyesâGod, those eyesâlocked onto yours like a predator zeroing in on its prey. He didnât say a word, not yet, but the intensity of his gaze was enough to make your breath hitch.
The soft glow of the hallway light outlined his figure, casting sharp shadows on his jawline, the dim illumination making him look both softer and somehow more dangerous at the same time.
He stalked back over to you, each step deliberate, never once breaking eye contact. His eyes bored into yours, and you felt as though he could see through every layer of your confusion, your fear, and your relief. You tried to smile, to break the tension, but it felt weak under his unrelenting stare.
Katsuki finally stopped in front of you, his steps coming to a halt as he sat down on the coffee table across from you. The wood creaked slightly under his weight, but he didnât seem to care. He spread his legs a little, bracing his elbows on his knees, leaning forward slightly, his powerful body now looming closer, radiating heat and energy.
He was dressed down tonightâjust a black skull t-shirt that clung to his frame and a pair of gray sweatpants that hung low on his hips.
Casual, relaxed, almost like he had been home for a quiet night in. Yet here he was, looking at you like you were the only thing in the world that mattered. He had this way of making everything else disappear when he focused on you like that, making your breath catch in your throat.
He sat there, silent, elbows resting on his knees, hands clasped loosely between them. His back was slightly hunched as he leaned forward, making him look even more intense. His face was unreadable, and yet there was an edge to itâsomething simmering just below the surface, just beneath those sharp, vermillion eyes that hadnât left yours for a second.
You shifted uncomfortably on the sofa under the weight of his gaze. âUh, hey babe?â you said, your voice weak, barely above a whisper. You tried to giggle, to play it off like you werenât utterly rattled, but the sound died awkwardly in your throat.
Katsuki didnât move. His eyes remained fixed on you, not even a flicker of amusement crossing his face. His lips were pressed into a thin line, his jaw tight, the muscle there clenching slightly.Â
He wasnât buying it.
You swallowed hard, unsure of what to say or do next. The silence between you stretched out, heavy and oppressive, like a thick fog settling in the room. The only sound was the faint hum of the hallway light and the ticking of the clock on the wall.
For what felt like an eternity, you just sat thereâhim staring at you like youâd just committed the ultimate offense, and you shrinking under the weight of it. His gaze didnât waver, not even once, and you could feel the intensity of his thoughts even if he wasnât saying a word.
Your hands fidgeted in your lap, fingers twisting together as the nerves bubbled up inside you.Â
âKatsuki, Iââ you started, but the words trailed off, your voice faltering under the scrutiny.
Katuski considers you carefully for a moment, just a moment. Before slowly rising from his spot on the coffee table and making his way to the kitchen, flicking the light on, and you hear the opening of your cabinets and your favorite mug being taken out before your tap is run. Katsuki returns, makes his way to your dining room to also turn on the lights and then to your front door that he locks before also turning on the lights.Â
Then, he finally makes his way back to you and hands you the mug that you accept with both hands and he doesnât let go until you take three small sips at first and he sets himself back down in front of you. Itâs not until your fifth sip that you realize he turned on all the lights so you could feel exposed and vulnerable under his stare. You almost choke on that, but hold it down in favor of meeting your boyfriend's gaze again.Â
He finally spoke, his voice low and measured, but there was a tightness there, like he was barely holding back. âWhat the fuck was that, huh?â His eyes narrowed slightly, the air around him crackling with restrained emotion. âYou really think lying to me was a good idea?â
Your breath caught in your throat. Lying? You blinked, confusion mixing with the remnants of panic, but you didnât get a chance to speak before Katsuki leaned in closer, his face now hovering just inches from yours. The intensity of his gaze didnât falter, those sharp vermillion eyes pinning you in place.
âLetâs not pretend,â he said, his voice dripping with a strange, unsettling calm. âYou think I didnât notice? That I couldnât tell?â His lips curled into a smirk, but there was nothing playful about it. The way his eyes glinted, the way the tension in his jaw flexedâit was something far more dangerous.
âWhen didââ you started, but Katsuki cut you off, his tone sharp as a blade.
âWhen did I get back?â he asked, already knowing where your mind had gone. His smile widened, and the expression twisted something deep in your gut. His canines flashed, sharp and predatory, as the smirk grew into something almost menacing. âRight after you hung up the phone with me.â
Your stomach dropped. He heard? You should have known better. The way youâd tried to sound fine, the excuses you made about not being able to eat, the way your voice had shaken when youâd reassured him you were âdoing greatââhe hadnât bought any of it. Heâd come home right early, and heâd known.
He tilted his head slightly, his eyes never leaving yours as he continued, âAnd you wanna know what I saw the second I walked in? You. Not taking care of yourself.âÂ
âAgain.â
The words hit you like a slap. Your mind raced back to everything over the last few daysâthe lack of sleep, barely eating, pushing yourself to the point of collapse. You thought you could hide it. But Katsuki wasnât fooled. He never was.
âYou lied to me,â he said, his voice softer now, but no less dangerous. âTold me you were fine, that you were âhandling things.ââ He chuckled darkly, his smile stretching wider.
âLook at you. Does this look like âfineâ to you?â
You swallowed hard, your mouth suddenly dry, as the weight of his words settled over you like a suffocating blanket. Your heart pounded in your chest as you tried to form an excuse, something to explain yourself, but the words wouldnât come.
Katsukiâs gaze hardened, and he leaned back slightly, his arms crossing over his chest as if he were preparing for the final verdict.
âI trusted you to take care of yourself while I was gone, and what do you do? You starve yourself. You donât sleep. You get so out of it you nearly put a bullet through your own damn apartment. All while telling me everythingâs âgreat.ââ
You could hear the frustration lacing his words now, the anger simmering just beneath the surface. But there was something elseâsomething deeper, more raw, hiding in the way his voice shook ever so slightly when he said the word trusted.
"I triedâ" you started, your voice barely above a whisper, but it felt so hollow even to your own ears. Katsuki wasnât having it.
âTried?â His voice cracked with a dangerous laugh, one that sent chills down your spine. âYou tried? No, you didnât âtry.â You hid from me. You lied because you thought you could handle everything on your own.â
He leaned forward again, the smile never fading, but this time it was sharper, darker, the full display of his teeth and sharp canines making him look almost feral. His red eyes widened slightly as he stared down at you, and there was an unsettling gleam in them now, something wild and untamed.
âBut you canât, can you?â he continued, his voice almost a mockery of sweetness. âYou canât take care of yourself. So guess what?â He leaned in close, so close you could feel the heat of his breath on your skin. âIâm doing it for you.â
Your heart lurched in your chest as his words sank in. There was something terrifying about the calmness in his tone, the way he spoke as if it was a simple fact, something decided without question.
âYouâre not eating? Iâll make sure you eat. Youâre not sleeping? Donât worry, Iâll fix that too.â His smile grew wider, more sinister, as if he were enjoying the thought of it. His sharp canines glinted under the light, and it felt like you were staring into the eyes of a predator.
The intensity of his gaze was suffocating, his red eyes burning into yours, and for a moment, you couldnât move, couldnât speak. His presence was overwhelming, his words wrapping around you like chains, trapping you in the reality of what was happening.
Katsukiâs voice dropped to a whisper, but it was no less terrifying. âFrom now on, you donât get to make that call. You donât get to decide when youâre âfineâ or when you need help. I do.â
Your throat tightened as you tried to find the right words, the right explanation, but there was nothing that would make this better. You had lied. You had pushed yourself too far, and now you were facing the consequences. But Katsuki wasnât just angry. He was something elseâsomething scarier.
He reached out, cupping your face gently with one large, calloused hand, his thumb brushing softly over your cheek. But the look in his eyes, the smile still pulling at his lips, made the gesture feel anything but comforting. He hooks his other palm on the underside of your calve and squeezes it twice.Â
âIâm gonna take care of you,â he whispered, his voice soft but deadly serious. âEven if I have to drag you kicking and screaming. Understand?â Katsuki dips his face lower, closer to yours as his pupils bore into your own.
You nodded, unable to find your voice, your chest tight with fear and guilt. Katsukiâs thumb traced your jawline, his touch deceptively gentle, but the look in his eyes was unrelenting.
âThatâs what I thought,â he said, his smile finally fading, replaced with that hard, determined expression you knew all too well. He stood up slowly, towering over you, and as he did, the weight of his presence pressed down on you like a storm.
He wasnât giving you a choice.
And you knew there was no fighting him. Not when he was like this.
Katsuki stood over you, eyes narrowing slightly as he reached for the mug in your hand. His fingers brushed yours, and before you could protest, he gently tugged it from your grasp, tilting the cup toward your lips. The cold refreshing liquid hit your tongue, and you blinked in surprise, forced to drink it all at his pace. His gaze was steady, unyielding, as if this small act of making sure you finished the drink was a matter of life and death.Â
There was no room for resistance.
"All of it," he muttered, and you obeyed, the warmth of the drink doing little to soothe the knot of nerves twisting in your stomach.
Once you drained the last of the mug, Katsuki set it aside with a soft clink and guided you to your feet. His grip was firm but not rough, the warmth of his palm grounding you as he led you through the bright apartment.
The light filtering through the bulbs was harsh compared to the dark tension that had settled between you two. Your heart pounded in your chest as you followed, your mind still trying to process everything that had just happened.
When he brought you to the bathroom, you turned to shoo him out. âI can handle this part,â you muttered, half-heartedly trying to get some semblance of control back. But Katsuki remained solid as a wall, unmoving, his eyes fixed on you. One eyebrow arched in that sharp, expectant way of his, and you knew you had no choice.
With a resigned sigh, you began stripping down, feeling the weight of his gaze linger, even though he wasn't watching you like that. His focus was intense, like he was making sure you didnât skip a single step.
Katsuki stepped forward and locked the door behind him with a soft click, the sound echoing in the small, tiled space. The air between you thickened as he moved to turn on the water in your freshly cleaned shower, the spray sputtering to life.
Steam rose, filling the room, curling into the corners like a mist creeping through your thoughts. He tested the water with his hand, adjusting the temperature before turning to you, his eyes softer now, but no less serious.
âGet in,â he said, the command laced with care. His hand hovered near your elbow, ready to steady you as you stepped into the tub. You felt small under his watchful eye, but also cared for in a way that made your throat tighten.
Once you were safely under the warm spray, Katsuki turned away slightly, giving you some space, though he stayed close. He wasnât leaving. Not until he was satisfied. You stood there for a moment, feeling the water cascade over your body, washing away the grime and exhaustion that clung to your skin.
You knew you had about five minutes before he turned back around, so you hurried, scrubbing yourself down with more effort than usual.
It wasnât long before he came back, his eyes flicking over you with a critical, almost soft look. Satisfied with your effort, Katsuki reached for the showerhead and rinsed you off himself, his hands guiding the water over your skin. He was gentle, methodical, like he was handling something precious.Â
And in his eyes, thatâs exactly what you are.
After rinsing you clean, Katsuki gestured for you to sit down in the tub. The air was thick with the scent of soap and steam, but beneath it all was the tension that neither of you had fully addressed. As you lowered yourself into the bubbles that Katsuki had added, you felt your face flush at the intimacy of it all.
âYa know,â he began, his voice rough but laced with something deeper, âwhen I got home early, I was happy.â
You looked up at him, blinking away the water droplets clinging to your lashes. His back was to you as he rummaged through the cabinet, but there was a weight in his words that made your chest tighten. Happy? You hadnât expected that, not after the way things had spiraled today.
âKirishima already went up to surprise your little friend,â he continued, his voice casual but still laced with that undeniable edge of possessiveness.
He found a bottle of your favorite bath oil and added a few drops to the water, the subtle scent filling the room. Katsuki always had a way of paying attention to details like that. Things you didnât even think he noticed.
âSo it was just gonna be me and you this weekend. Me and my girlfriend.â
The way he said my girlfriend made your pulse quicken. There was something about the way Katsuki spoke when it came to you, the way he claimed the words, made them his own. It was possessive, sure, but not in the suffocating way.
It was like he was reminding you that you were his priority, even when you couldnât take care of yourself.
He finally turned back to you, kneeling by the tub so that his eyes were level with yours. The light in the room flickered, casting shadows across his sharp features, making him look even more intense. His vermilion eyes locked onto yours, and it felt like he was staring straight into your soul.
âSo it was gonna be me and you,â he repeated, his voice quieter now but no less serious. âBut instead, I come home to find you falling apart.â His hand reached out, fingers brushing over the wet strands of your hair, pushing them back from your face. The gesture was soft, but there was a weight behind it.
âWhat the hell, babe? You canât even take care of yourself while Iâm gone?â
You opened your mouth to respond, to explain, but he cut you off with a small shake of his head.
Katsukiâs hands were firm but gentle as he lathered your hair with shampoo, his fingers working through your scalp in deep, circular motions.
The pressure was so perfect that your eyes fluttered shut, a low hum escaping your throat as your body relaxed into the bath. It was embarrassing how good it felt, how every stroke of his fingers seemed to melt away the exhaustion clinging to your bones.
You could barely keep your head up, and just as your eyes threatened to roll back in your head, Katsuki splashed water at your face, jolting you back to reality.
âOi, donât go passing out on me just yet,â he muttered, though there was a playful smirk tugging at his lips. He shifted behind you, grabbing the showerhead to rinse out the soap, the warm water cascading down your back as he continued his work. The rhythmic sound of water filled the space, a stark contrast to the gruffness in his voice.
âYouâre lucky I didnât pounce on your ass the second you walked back into the apartment, lookinâ all messed up like that,â Katsuki grumbled, his hands sliding down your shoulders to scrub your back.
His fingers traced the curve of your spine, his touch lingering as he was refamiliarizing himself with every dip and curve.Â
âYou think I like seeinâ you like this? All run-down and weak? Youâve got more in you than this.â
Katsuki paused, his hand hovering over your shoulder, and you could feel the weight of his stare even though you werenât looking at him. âI just want you to be healthy. To take care of yourself the way I know you can.â
His hand moved down, scrubbing your arms with the washcloth, his roughness tempered by the care behind every stroke. âI get it, lifeâs a pain in the ass sometimes, but you donât get to fall apart like this. Not when Iâm around to make sure youâre good.â
His words were gruff, but there was something softer beneath the surfaceâa quiet worry that heâd never fully admit to. Katsuki rinsed you off, the soap sliding down your body as he worked, his attention never wavering.
As he moved to scrub your legs, his touch slowed for just a moment.
âYouâre tough,â he muttered, almost to himself, his hand brushing along the curve of your thigh. âBut that doesnât mean youâve gotta do everything on your own. Iâm here, alright?â
He rinsed you one last time, his hand lingering at the small of your back as if anchoring you to the moment.
âAnd donât think Iâm letting you off the hook that easy,â he said, a smirk tugging at his lips. âYou owe me for not jumping your ass the second I saw you. But first, weâre gonna get you back to being you again.â
Your heart pounded, a mix of guilt and gratitude swirling in your chest. Katsuki wasnât asking for permission. He was telling you. And part of you was relieved that you didnât have to carry this burden alone anymore.
âNo excuses,â he muttered, his fingers trailing down to tilt your chin up so you couldnât look away. His thumb brushed against your lips, lingering there for a moment. âYou donât get to lie to me about this anymore.â
His gaze softened, but the intensity of his words remained. âIâm gonna make sure youâre alright. Even if that means watching over you every damn second.â
You nodded, the movement small, but Katsuki saw it. His hand dropped from your chin, and he leaned back, standing up to his full height as he grabbed a towel from the rack.
âGood,â he said, his voice softer now. He draped the towel over his shoulder and held out his hand to help you out of the tub. The air was cool against your skin as you stepped out the tub, his touch lingering on your shoulders as he pulled you close. The weight of the day seemed to melt away in that moment, leaving just the two of you standing there in the quiet.
Katsuki is rough around the edges, sure. But when it came to you, there was no doubtâheâd take care of you, fuck everyone else.
Katsuki wrapped the fluffy towel around your body, still warm and soft from the dryer. You nuzzled into it, relishing the feeling of warmth against your skin, the scent of fresh laundry lingering in the air. His chuckle was low, almost rumbling through his chest as he set you gently on the bath mat.
"Wait here," he said, his voice firm yet filled with that protective edge youâd grown so used to. You sat obediently, the towel cocooning you in its comforting warmth as Katsuki disappeared briefly.
When he returned, he carried a chair from the dinning and placed it in front of the bathroom mirror. He motioned for you to sit, and you did so without protest. The exhaustion still clung to you, but the care he was giving made it easier to just lean into his routine. You felt his fingers work through your damp hair with gentle precision as he sectioned it off to braid.Â
The motions were firm but soft, practiced as if he had done this countless times before. You closed your eyes, letting yourself relax under his touch as he skillfully wove your hair into two simple, neat braids.
âThere,â he murmured, wrapping a towel around the ends to help them dry. âThat should do for now.â He gave you a brief once-over, satisfied with his work.
Next, Katsuki grabbed a toothbrush and came back toward you, squeezing a dollop of toothpaste onto it. Before you could protest or joke, he pressed the brush gently against your lips, and you reluctantly opened your mouth.
As he began brushing, your lips curled in a playful pout, and you made an attempt to nip his fingers with a mischievous glint in your eyes. Katsukiâs reaction was immediate, pulling back just slightly before leaning in close, his face inches from yours, eyes glinting with amusement.
âYou really want me to bite you, huh?â he teased, voice low as his breath brushed your skin. You pouted but couldnât stop the smile from creeping in. Slowly, you nodded, biting your lower lip. He smirked at your response, his teeth grazing the sensitive skin between your neck and shoulder, just enough pressure to make you shiver.
Your breath hitched as you squeezed him, wrapping your arms around his waist, but the sound that almost escaped you was quickly stifled as you pulled back, burying your face into the towel.
Katsuki chuckled darkly, clearly pleased with himself. "Behave," he muttered, finishing with your teeth. He handed you the mouthwash next. âRinse,â he instructed, his eyes following your every move. You swished the cool liquid around before spitting it out, feeling oddly refreshed.
Once that was done, he moved on to the next part of his routineâyour skincare. His touch was methodical as he washed your face, scrubbing gently and making sure every inch of your skin was properly cared for.
You could feel the cool cleanser on your cheeks as he worked, and there was something oddly intimate about the way he treated each step like it was second nature.
âNo more mascara,â Katsuki said, narrowing his eyes as he gently dabbed a soft towel against your skin. âI want you to keep those damn lashes.â
You giggled at his comment, catching his eye in the mirror. âHitoshi says weâre the only ones who make insomnia look sexy,â you teased.Â
âDonât take compliments from a guy who needs a bag check for his fuckinâ eyes.â
You snorted, while Katsuki was rolling his eyes. âThat idiot looked like death last mission. He and Denki passed out under the table like a couple of idiots,â he said, shaking his head.Â
âWe should to check in on themââ
He interrupted, raising an eyebrow. âWe can check on them tomorrow.â
His gaze shifted, locking onto yours with a possessive glint that made your stomach flutter. âYouâre all mine this weekend. Those extras can wait.â
You blushed, your face softening as the weight of his words settled over you. The tenderness beneath his rough exterior always caught you off guard, especially when he showed it in moments like these. You felt a warmth spread through your chest, and for once, it wasnât just because of the cozy towel wrapped around you.
Katsuki reached into the drawer, grabbing your favorite lip oil with a casual confidence, but his movements slowed with deliberate care as he traced the line of your cupid's bow, filling in your lips with precise strokes.
You felt the cool glide of the oil over your lips, the faint scent of vanilla filling the air between you. Watching him concentrate so intensely on such a delicate task brought a smile to your face.
âI can remember the last time you did something like this~â
you teased, the sing-song lilt in your voice light, playful. His reaction was immediateâhis sharp vermillion eyes snapped back to yours, but his reddening ears gave him away. For all his confidence, a comment like that still managed to fluster him. The slight color spreading across his face wouldâve been easy to miss if you hadnât been watching him so closely.
His scowl deepened, and he growled, âSo you wanna get your ass knocked out or what?â
You giggled, placing one hand on his solid shoulder, your fingers brushing against the heat radiating from his skin. Then, with a grin, you pressed the crown of your head into the crook of his neck, feeling the warmth of his skin against your cheek.Â
âNooo, Iâm just so happy youâre here!â Your voice was soft, genuine, the relief and joy of his presence making you melt into the moment.
Katsukiâs tension ebbed as he rolled his eyes, the smallest hint of a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. He let your teasing slide, his usual gruffness tempered by the tenderness he rarely let anyone else see.
Without a word, he scooped you up into his arms as if you weighed nothing, his strength effortless as he held you close to his chest. You clung to him, feeling the firm muscles beneath his shirt, his heartbeat steady under your palm.
âGod, I love your heartbeat.â
As he carried you through the apartment, Katsuki flicked off the lights with a casual swipe of his hand, the darkness closing in behind you both. When you entered your room, you were greeted with the fresh, clean scent of laundry detergent and something distinctly Katsuki.
You blinked in surprise, realizing just how spotless everything was.
The bed was made, your clothes folded, and the air felt lighter, even though your mirrorâstill cracked from earlierâreflected back the remnants of your impulsive outburst. The shards of glass had already been swept and vacuumed away, leaving no trace of the mess.
Before you could comment, Katsuki threw you onto the bed, your body bouncing lightly against the plush comforter. âHey!â you protested, mock indignation coloring your voice as you propped yourself up on your elbows, glaring at him.
He just smirked, a mischievous glint in his eyes. âYouâre asking for it.â You narrowed your eyes, grabbing one of your stuffed animalsâa soft, well-loved bunnyâand held it up like a threat. âIâll throw all my stuffed animals at you, Katsuki, donât test me.â
But the playful moment quickly shifted, his expression darkening with a predatory edge. His eyes gleamed as he climbed onto the bed with slow, deliberate movements, the mattress sinking slightly under his weight as he stalked toward you, inch by inch, like a wild animal sizing up its prey. The air between you thickened, electric, and your breath caught in your throat.
"You really wanna do that, sweetheart?" His voice was low, dangerous, sending a shiver down your spine. His gaze flickered briefly to the stuffed bunny in your hand before it snapped back to your face. "When you know how I feel about your 'babies'?" The way he drawled out the wordâ"babies"âmade heat coil low in your stomach, your body responding involuntarily to the tension in the air.
Your grip on the bunny loosened, and without thinking, you let it drop from your hand. It tumbled onto the bed with a soft thud, forgotten, as you instinctively wrapped yourself tighter in the towel, your pulse quickening.
Katsukiâs smirk widened at your silence, his voice a low rumble as he teased, âWhat, no answer for me?â He leaned in closer, his face inches from yours, turning his ear toward you as if daring you to speak.
Instead of words, you leaned forward and pressed a soft, lingering kiss against the shell of his ear, your breath warm against his skin. âNo,â you whispered, your voice barely audible.
Katsuki chuckled, the sound deep and satisfied. He tugged at the edge of your towel with one finger, pulling it down just enough to expose your neck, your pulse beating rapidly beneath your skin. His lips descended, pressing a hot, firm kiss against the sensitive spot just above your collarbone, his breath hot as he whispered against your skin,Â
âGood choice.â
Your breath hitched, your body shivering as you leaned into his touch, his kiss lingering like a brand against your flesh. The air around you was thick with unspoken words, the world outside fading away as you lost yourself in the warmth of his presence, the safety and intensity that only Katsuki could bring.
Katsukiâs hands reached for the hem of his skull-printed shirt, fingers curling as he lifted it over his head. The muscles in his arms and chest flexed with the movement, every line of his sculpted frame rippling with controlled power. He didnât bother tossing it aside like he normally would. Instead, he draped it over you, lowering it onto your head before helping you slip your arms through the sleeves.
You smiled softly as the worn fabric slid down your body, the familiar scent of Katsuki surrounding you like a comforting embrace. His shirt was huge on you, the edges brushing just past your thighs, the warmth of it melding with the heat radiating from him.
You shifted beneath him, looking up as he hovered over you, his palms bracing on either side of your head. The proximity made your heart race, the weight of his gaze sending a shiver of anticipation through your body. Katsukiâs sharp eyes softened for just a second, the intensity still present but tempered with something warmer, more intimate.
He didnât say anything as you wrapped your arms around his strong back, feeling the firmness of his muscles beneath your fingers.
âCome here,â you murmured, giving him a gentle tap between his shoulder blades.
Without hesitation, Katsuki let himself drop, all the glorious warmth of his body pressing against you in a slow, controlled descent. The heavy weight of his chest flattened against yours, and you sighed in contentment, the closeness making you feel grounded.
Katsukiâs body, normally so explosive and full of barely contained energy, was now soft and pliant against you, like he was giving you the privilege of feeling his full, unfiltered presence.
Your hands naturally found their way to his spiky blonde hair, fingers threading through the surprisingly soft strands. For all the sharpness of his exterior, Katsukiâs hair was softer than most people knewâsomething only a select few had the privilege to experience. He guarded his personal space like a fortress, and it took time for him to let his guard down around anyone, let alone like this.
But with you, it was different. He was different.
He was your fussy Pomeranianâprickly to everyone else, but with a soft, loyal core.
You gently massaged his scalp, your nails scraping lightly against his skin as you worked through the spiked chaos of his hair. You could feel him relax, his tense shoulders loosening as he melted further into you, letting out a low grunt of approval. The sound was almost primal, a rumbling that vibrated through his chest and into yours.
You were so caught up in the moment, fingers tracing the line of his neck and combing through his hair, that you almost missed the sudden burst of air against your shoulder. It wasnât until you felt the wet tickle of his lips blowing a raspberry into your skin that you realized he was trying to get your attention.
âWhat theâKatsuki!â you squealed, laughing as the sound reverberated through your skin. He smirked against your shoulder, clearly pleased with himself.
He lifted his head slightly, his red eyes gleaming with a mischievous glint. âYou listening now, or do I gotta do it again?â His voice was low, teasing, but there was that familiar edge of dominance underneath it all.
You huffed in mock annoyance, rolling your eyes before looking up at him. âWhat were you saying, genius?â
Katsuki grinned, the corners of his mouth twitching as he lowered himself again, letting his breath fan against your ear. âI said youâre lucky, you know that?â His voice was softer now, but it still held that commanding tone that sent a spark of heat through your chest.Â
âLucky I didnât pounce on you the second I got back.â
His words lingered in the air, heavy with implication, and your breath hitched as you met his gaze. The raw intensity in his eyes, that feral spark you loved so much, was back. It wasnât just a warningâit was a promise.
You swallowed, your voice coming out a little breathless. âYeah? And why didnât you?â
His grin widened as he pressed his forehead against yours, his voice dropping even lower. âBecause Iâm not an idiot. I could see you werenât takinâ care of yourself. And I ainât about to let my girl fall apart while Iâm gone.â
You blinked, feeling a wave of warmth wash over you, though his words held a stern undertone. He shifted slightly, his weight pressing more firmly against you as his hands slid up your sides, his thumbs brushing just under the hem of his shirt. The touch was possessive but careful, like he was reminding you who was in charge of your well-being now.
âI know you can take care of yourself,â he murmured, his lips brushing against your temple, âbut sometimes, you get stressed and forget.â His hands stilled, resting on your waist. âSo Iâm gonna do it for you.â
You couldnât help the small smile tugging at your lips. Katsuki, in his own gruff way, always knew exactly what you needed. And it wouldnât even admit it outright, he cared more than anyone youâd ever known.
You felt your hands tighten in his hair again, tugging gently as you let out a soft sigh. âIâm sorry,â you whispered, feeling a mix of affection and guilt. You knew you hadnât been taking care of yourself lately, but hearing him say it hit differently. It made you realize just how much heâd noticed, how much heâd been keeping track, even when he wasnât around.
Katsuki didnât say anything at first. Instead, he shifted his weight, lifting his head to look down at you again, his expression softening just a fraction. âYeah, well... just donât make me come home to that shit again, got it?â His voice was still gruff, but there was an undeniable warmth in his tone.
You nodded, feeling a wave of relief wash over you. He didnât need to say it outright, but you knewâhe wasnât going anywhere. Not when it came to you.
Without another word, he leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead before nuzzling into the crook of your neck. His breath was warm against your skin, and you let yourself relax under the weight of his body, feeling safe, loved, and cared for.
The two of you lay there in a soft, comfortable silence, the weight of Katsukiâs warm body settled against yours, his steady breath fanning over your skin.
His arms, strong yet gentle, stayed wrapped around your waist as if anchoring himself to you. The room was quiet, save for the occasional rustle of the sheets and the subtle creaking of the bed beneath your weight. You were about to close your eyes, savoring the moment, when you felt a slight flutter against your neck. His long eyelashes were brushing against your skin, tickling you softly.
You blinked, lifting your head slightly. "Katsuki, you alright?"
A muffled, "Yeah," came from him, his voice low and slightly hoarse as he nuzzled into the crook of your shoulder. But something in the way he said it made you pause. His head shifted, settling over your boob (chest), right where your heart was. The sensation of his ear pressing against your heartbeat sent a wave of warmth and electricity rushing through you. Your soul felt like it was lighting up, a familiar connection between you two sparking alive.
Katsuki reached for your hand, his calloused fingers weaving through yours with a gentleness that contrasted his usual roughness. He lifted your intertwined hands and pressed them over his own heart, resting them there. The sensation, the intimacy of the moment, sent a tingle through your entire body, filling you with an overwhelming sense of love and connection. It was rare for Katsuki to be this tender, to show you this vulnerable side of himself.Â
And yet, as you lay there, your heartbeats in sync, it felt like the most natural thing in the world.
A soft, involuntary smile tugged at your lips as you looked down at him. You could feel the rhythm of his heart beneath your palm, steady and strong, and you were certain he could feel yours, too. The electric charge between you wasnât just emotional; it felt physical, like your very essence was reaching out to him, and he to you. Katsuki, usually so tough and guarded, was here in your arms, sharing this tender moment.
But as you lay there, soaking in the warmth of the moment, something shifted. Katsuki stiffened slightly in your arms, his body going rigid against yours. You could feel his breath hitch, and when you looked down, you saw the confusion in his eyes, the way they glistened with unshed tears. His brow furrowed, and for a moment, he looked completely lost, almost scared.
âHey, hey, whatâs wrong?â you asked, your voice laced with concern as you felt him tense even further. A flicker of panic shot through you. You knew how hard it was for Katsuki to express his emotions, and seeing him like this, vulnerable and on the verge of breaking down, tugged at something deep inside of you.Â
"Are you having those pains again? Is it your chest?!"
Katsuki shook his head quickly, but his face contorted, and he let out a sharp sniff, his breaths coming faster. His fingers squeezed yours, his grip tightening as his other arm wrapped around your waist with almost a desperate strength.
You could feel the heat rising off his skin, his body suddenly clammy as if he were in a battle. His muscles tensed and flexed, his jaw clenched as he tried to fight whatever emotions were threatening to spill out.
"'S alright," he mumbled into your chest, but you could hear the tremble in his voice, the way it cracked as if he were holding something back. He buried his face deeper against you, curling into your body as though trying to shield himself from the storm brewing inside him.
"No, 'S not alright," you countered softly, your hand moving to rub slow, calming circles over his sweaty back. "Come on, Katsu, you know you can tell me."
You felt his heart pounding harder against your hand, the frantic rhythm echoing through your palm. His breath hitched again, and you instinctively shifted, running your fingers through his hair to calm him. Your other hand moved to the back of his neck, rubbing the tension out of his tight muscles as his breaths came in shallow gasps.
Katsukiâs palms, usually dry and strong, grew slick with sweat, and you could feel his hands trembling as they gripped yours. He sniffed again, louder this time, his body shuddering as he tried to regain control. Several deep, shaky breaths followed, but he didnât pull away.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he lifted his head. His red eyes were rimmed with unshed tears, his lashes wet as he blinked them away. He sat up slowly, pulling himself out of your embrace, though he still held onto your hand like a lifeline. His chest rose and fell with heavy breaths, his gaze distant as if he were trying to sort through the mess of emotions swirling inside him.
You reached up, gently brushing a tear away from his cheek. âBaby, talk to me, please.â
He swallowed thickly, his Adamâs apple bobbing as he struggled to find his voice. When he finally spoke, his words were soft, raw. âI dunno... I justââ He paused, his jaw clenched as he looked down at your hand still resting over his heart. âI dunno whatâs wrong with me.â
Your heart ached at the sight of him like this, so vulnerable and confused. Katsuki wasnât used to feeling things this deeply, wasnât used to letting anyone in like this. But here he was, breaking down in front of you, and all you wanted to do was hold him together.
You scooted closer, sitting up and pressing your forehead against his. âThereâs nothing wrong with you, Katsu,â you whispered, your voice soothing as you cupped his face in your hands. âYouâre just... feeling things. Itâs okay.â
Katsuki closed his eyes, his breath shuddering as he leaned into your touch. âI donât like it,â he muttered, his voice thick with frustration. âI donât like not... not being able to control it.â
You kissed his forehead softly, letting your lips linger there for a moment before pulling back. âYou donât always have to be in control. Itâs okay to let go sometimes.â
For a moment, he didnât respond, just sat there with his eyes closed, his breathing slowly evening out as he let your words sink in. When he finally opened his eyes again, they were still glassy, but the panic had faded, replaced by a quiet resolve. He looked at you with an intensity that took your breath away.
âYou make me feel things I donât know how to handle,â he admitted quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. âBut I donât... I donât wanna lose it.â
You smiled softly, your heart swelling as you pressed another gentle kiss to his cheek. âYou wonât lose it, Katsuki. Iâm here.â
Katsukiâs hand tightened around yours as he pulled back slightly, taking in a deep, steadying breath before speaking again. His eyes, still a little glassy but full of determination, met yours with a quiet intensity. âI didnât want to be away from you,â he started, his voice soft but firm. âEven if workâs important... to me, youâre more important.â
You opened your mouth to argue, to tell him that his work as a hero mattered, that it saved lives, but the look he gave you made you stop short. His gaze softened as it met yours, a silent plea for understanding. And instead of fighting back, you took his rough, calloused hands in yours, bringing them to your lips and pressing soft kisses to his knuckles. Then, with a small smile, you pressed his hands gently to your cheeks, letting him feel the warmth there, the quiet affection you had for him.
âIâm with you,â you whispered, and those simple words seemed to ease the tension in his body. He let out a slow breath, his chest rising and falling heavily before he continued.
âI get it,â he said, his voice a little stronger now. âWhy youâre always trying to be so independent. Youâve got your own life, your own goals, and I want to respect that.â His thumb gently brushed against your cheek as he spoke, as though grounding himself with your touch.
âBut I canât... I canât just sit by and watch you not take care of yourself. Sometimes... I feel like itâs my job to make sure youâre okay, âcause I... I love you.â
His voice cracked on those last words, and you saw the raw emotion flicker in his eyes. Katsuki wasnât used to being vulnerable like this, to letting people see the softer side of him. But he was here, laying it all bare in front of you. You could feel the weight of his words, the sincerity, the fear that maybe you didnât need him as much as he needed you. It tugged at something deep inside you.
âI love you, and I want to take care of you,â he went on, his grip on your hands tightening as if he were afraid to let go. âI wanna protect you, keep you safe, even when you donât think you need it. Itâs... itâs who I am. And Iâm not gonna apologize for it.â
Your heart swelled with affection, and you moved your hands over his arms, gently rubbing along the firm, tense muscles as you tried to soothe him. His skin was warm under your touch, and you could feel the faint tremble in his shoulders as he kept talking, the weight of his emotions finally spilling out.
âI just...â Katsuki paused, his voice faltering for a moment as he swallowed hard, trying to keep the lump in his throat at bay. âThis time away from you... it made me realize a lot. How much I love you, how much I need you around. I canât stand it when Iâm not with you, even if itâs just for a few days.â He let out a small, almost bitter chuckle. âYou probably think itâs stupid, huh?â
You smiled softly, shaking your head as you continued to run your hands over his arms, feeling the tension slowly melt away under your touch. âItâs not stupid,â you whispered. âI missed you too.â
Katsukiâs eyes flickered with relief, but there was still a hint of frustration lingering in his expression. âBut you... you donât take care of yourself, not the way you should,â he said, his voice more serious now. âYou always look after everyone elseâhell, you make sure everyoneâs okay, but you donât do the same for yourself. It drives me crazy.â
You gave him a playful smile, trying to lighten the mood just a little. âYou canât keep an eye on me all the time, Katsu.â
He huffed, narrowing his eyes at you. âThatâs the problem. I canât. And you donât make a habit of neglecting yourself, but when you do... youâre a hypocrite. Youâll run yourself into the ground to help everyone else, but then act like you donât need anyone to do the same for you.â
You wanna stick your tongue out at him but knowing Katsuki, heâd make you regret that all night long.Â
Katsukiâs intense gaze lingered, tracing every inch of you with a sharp, possessive look that made your heart race. His eyes moved from the top of your head, down the gentle curve of your neck, over the way his oversized skull shirt bunched up on your thighs, and down to your toes.
You could feel the weight of his stare, heavy with unspoken emotions, and for a moment, it seemed like the air between you thickened with tension.
Then he blinked, and it was like a fog lifting. He shifted, reaching into the deep pockets of his sweatpants with a small grunt. âI wanted to do this âright,â ya know,â he muttered, almost to himself, but the words were laced with that familiar gruffness. His fingers fiddled with something in his pocket, his focus still mostly on you.
âSpent weeks with those dumbassesâpicking out flowers, going through all these fancy restaurants, trying to get the perfect gift. Because youâre my girl, and I only get the best for you.â
His voice was low, raspy, and the way his eyes softened briefly before trailing down to your legs made your breath catch. His hand, rough and warm, ghosted over your ankle as if testing the waters before his grip tightened, just enough to pull you slightly closer with a small, teasing tug.
The movement startled you, and you yelped, instinctively wrapping the towel tighter around your waist as you scrambled upright, your heart hammering against your ribs. Katsukiâs laughter rumbled through the room, deep and genuine, the sound like warm honey coating the air. He was taking in the sight of your flustered reaction with a wicked grin plastered on his face.
âKats,â you started, still catching your breath as you eyed him suspiciously, âwhat are you getting at?â
The mischievous gleam in his eyes returned, that familiar cocky, dangerous look that always made your pulse quicken. His grin softened into something more meaningful, more grounded, but still tinged with that wild spark. That look in his eye? It was the one that always had you convinced that all the hot ones were definitely crazy.
âIâve wanted this for a long time,â he confessed, his voice dropping into something more intimate, more vulnerable.
âSince I met you.â
You blinked, watching as his gaze flickered down to your bare legs. His jaw clenched for a split second, and he let out a low curse under his breath. âShouldâve used that damn lotion,â he muttered, almost to himself, clearly irritated that he hadnât taken the chance to pamper you properly.
The moonlight filtering in from your window cast a silvery glow over him, highlighting every cut and line of his muscles as if he were carved from stone.
He was beautiful, raw, like a storm contained just beneath the surface, and for a brief moment, you were distracted by the sight of himâthe rise and fall of his chest, the way his stomach flexed with each breath.
You could have his babies right here, right now.
Then his voice softened again, and the mood shifted as he spoke. âI love you. I really do.â His tone was hushed, like it was just for you. His eyesâusually so full of fire and determinationânow held something much deeper, something vulnerable that he rarely let show. It was just him. Your Katsuki.
âIâm not good with this shit. I know that,â he admitted, his mouth tugging into a small, self-deprecating smirk. âBut I wanna do this right.â
You blinked, feeling the air grow heavier as he squared his shoulders, a determined glint returning to his eyes. His hand finally left his pocket, and in one swift, almost impatient motion, he pulled something out and opened it in front of you.Â
A small box. Velvet. The kind that held only one thing.
Your breath hitched, and your entire world seemed to narrow down to that tiny box and the ring inside it. It glittered in the low light, catching the moon's glow, but the details were lost on you as your heart thudded wildly in your chest.
Katsuki looked at you, dead-on, his expression both serious and soft at the same time, like he was offering you everything he had.Â
âWould you marry me and be my hot mess?â
For a split second, you couldnât breathe. Couldnât think. Couldnât even process the words that had just come out of his mouth. You felt like someone had knocked the air out of your lungs with a featherâhell, they could have knocked you over with one.
The world stopped spinning. Your eyes darted between the ring and Katsuki, who was watching you carefully now, his breath held as if he was waiting for your next move. You could feel the gravity of this moment pressing down on your chest, and yet... it wasnât the heavy kind of weight that scared you. No. It was something else entirely.
It was the kind of weight that came with the realization that this moment, this person in front of you, was everything you never knew you needed.
A million thoughts raced through your mind, and none of them made sense, but your body reacted first. Your lips parted, but no words came out at first, only a small breathless laugh as you brought your shaking hands up to your mouth. Katsukiâs eyes searched your face, trying to gauge your reaction, and the barest hint of nerves flashed behind his hardened exterior. He mightâve been a fearless hero, but this?
This was different.
âKatsuki,â you whispered, barely able to find your voice as the emotions swirled inside you. âYou... youâre serious?â
âDead serious,â he replied immediately, his voice unwavering now. His eyes bore into yours with that fierce conviction only he could pull off. âIâve been serious about you from the start. I love you, and Iâm not waiting around anymore. I want you. With me. Always.â
His words sank into you, and before you even fully realized what you were doing, your hands shot forward, grabbing his face, pulling him down toward you. You kissed himâdeeply, passionately, pouring everything you had into it, letting the overwhelming feelings consume you.
His lips were warm, familiar, grounding. Katsuki groaned softly into the kiss, his hands moving to your waist, pulling you closer as if the space between you was too much to bear.
When you finally pulled away, your foreheads pressed together, your breath mingling with his as you both panted softly. The world around you faded, and all that was left was the man in front of you and the question still hanging in the air.
âYes,â you breathed, smiling through the tears that had welled up in your eyes. âYes, Katsuki. Iâll marry you.â
And for the first time in what felt like forever, you saw itâthe raw, unfiltered joy on his face. It wasnât loud or boastful, but it was there, in the soft curl of his lips and the way his eyes shone with unshed tears.
Katsuki Bakugo had won another battleâthis time, with your heart.
Katsuki's rough fingers, calloused and warm, carefully slid the ring over your finger, his touch uncharacteristically gentle. You couldnât help but gasp as the gem caught the light, sparkling in a way that made your heart skip a beat. It was more than beautifulâit was personal. The stone in the center was your birthstone, cut into your favorite shape and polished into your favorite color, surrounded by a delicate halo of tiny rubies. Rubies just like his eyes.
Your gaze flickered to the ring and then back to Katsuki. âHow⊠how did youâŠ?â you whispered, utterly floored. The details were so specific, the kind that you had only mentioned in passing, mostly to Michael. But somehow, Katsuki had pieced it all together.
The rubies glistened against the band, and nestled between them were smaller gemstones that mirrored the exact shade of your eyes. And if that wasnât enough, there was another set of gems, a deep, fiery orangeâthe color of Katsukiâs favorite thing: explosions.
You turned the ring over in your hand, overwhelmed by the craftsmanship, the thoughtfulness. Every inch of the piece was a reflection of you, of him, of both of you together. Whoever he went to had worked some serious magic. As your fingers brushed over the band, something else caught your eye. With trembling hands, you slipped the ring off, turning it over, and there it wasâengraved into the inside of the band in Katsukiâs unmistakable bluntness:
âI love you, dumbass.â
That was it. The tears came again, flooding your vision before you could stop them. Your chest tightened with the overwhelming sweetness of it all. Youâd never expected this. How could you? This whole day had taken such a turn that your emotions were a tangled mess, and now, here you were, crying like a baby over a ring. But it wasnât just any ringâit was him, you, everything.
âKatsuki,â you sobbed, bringing the ring to your chest as if it could stop the flood of emotions. Your voice trembled, but before you could even say another word, Katsukiâs eyes widened in pure panic. He hated when you cried. Hell, it wasnât often that you let yourself fall apart like this, and seeing you like that sent him spiraling.
âOi, oi! Donât cry, damn it!â he barked, his voice frantic as he moved in closer, cupping your face with both hands. But then his panic melted into something softer as his thumbs wiped away the tears.Â
âIâm serious, stop it, or youâre gonna make me lose it.â
But the sight of your tears didnât stop him from acting on impulse. In typical Katsuki fashion, he leaned down and kissed you, first pressing his lips all over your face, desperate to dry every tear. But he didnât stop there. In a ridiculous, completely endearing move, he leaned over and licked your cheek, tasting the saltiness of your tears with a playful smirk. You squealed, pulling away in shock, your face scrunched up in disbelief.Â
âDid you justâew, Katsuki! Thatâs so gross!â
You smacked his solid chest, half laughing, half horrified, but that only egged him on. âOh, Iâm gross now, huh?â he teased, his voice low and dangerous as he grinned down at you. His eyes sparkled with mischief as he launched himself at you, playfully wrestling you down onto the bed.
âNo, noâKatsuki!â you shrieked, giggling uncontrollably as his strong arms trapped you beneath him. He pinned you effortlessly, his weight pressing you into the mattress as he leaned in, his nose brushing against yours. His lips were on you again, peppering your face with kisses, and soon enough, the two of you were tumbling around in the sheets, rolling and laughing like a couple of kids.
The wrestling match was chaotic, full of breathless laughter, limbs tangled up, and soft murmurs of affection between teasing jabs. Katsuki was surprisingly playful, and before long, you were both breathless, collapsing side by side on the bed, staring up at the ceiling as your hearts raced in sync.
You turned your head, catching the way his chest heaved with each breath, a lazy grin tugging at the corner of his lips. His messy hair, usually so spiked and wild, was disheveled in the cutest way possible. Without thinking, you reached out, running your fingers through it, smoothing it back in place. He hummed in contentment, his eyes half-lidded as he looked over at you.
âBut whereâs your ring?â you asked, suddenly realizing that the gesture had been one-sided. You were the one with the ring on your finger, but what about him?
Katsuki chuckled, his voice rumbling low in his chest. âMy ring, huh?â He smirked, eyes sparkling with that familiar cocky glint. âIâll just give you my wallet, and you can surprise me.â
You blinked, taken aback for a second, before bursting into laughter. âMâOkay!â you replied, your voice full of playful mockery. âBut donât blame me if I pick something pink and covered in glitter.â
âWhatever you want, babe,â he shot back, unbothered by the thought, though you knew heâd raise hell if you actually went through with it. The both of you erupted into laughter again, the sound filling the room like music.
Katsuki shifted, rolling onto his side as he gently took your hand in his, threading your fingers together like he always did. His lips found your hand again, this time softer, more purposeful. He kissed the spot right over your ring, his lips lingering there for a moment, as if sealing his promise to you.
âI love you, Katsuki Bakugou,â you whispered, your heart swelling with warmth as you looked at him, your fiancĂ©, the man who had somehow managed to make this chaotic mess of a proposal the most perfect moment of your life.
Katsukiâs eyes softened, his rough exterior melting away in the intimate glow of the moonlight. He squeezed your hand, his thumb brushing gently over your knuckles. âI love you too, dumbass,â he muttered, his voice gruff, but his expression was nothing short of tender.
In that moment, wrapped up in each other, you realized something: thisâthis wild, crazy love you shared with Katsukiâwas the only thing that made sense in the world. You lay there together, side by side, hearts entwined, you knew without a doubt that you had found your forever.
đđ„đđ„đđ„đđ„đđ„
The morning sunlight peeked through the curtains, casting a soft, warm glow across the bed, but you groaned, stretching lazily as you woke up. Your fingers instinctively brushed against your hair, feeling the unruly mess it had become overnightâcomplete with knots and stubborn curls that had a mind of their own.
You squinted at the brightness as your phone buzzed on the bedside table. Checking it, you saw the familiar ping of an email notification and grinned. You've been paid.
Sweet relief!
Rolling over to share the good news, you blinked in surprise at the empty side of the bed. The sheets were cold, and there was no sign of your fiancĂ©âwait, boyfriendâwait, fiancĂ©! A flutter of excitement bubbled up inside you at the thought of the word.
But the smell of breakfast caught your attention, and any irritation at his absence melted away. The unmistakable scent of eggs, with a hint of something smokyâprobably baconâwafted down the hallway, accompanied by the faint clink of pans from the kitchen.
Katsuki was already up, and the thought made you smile.
Without bothering to fix your appearance, you hopped out of bed, your feet hitting the cool, hardwood floor with a soft thud. You knew youâd hear about it laterâhow walking around barefoot would make you catch a cold. He always ranted about that kind of stuff, but youâd just smile and give him your usual âYes, mama,â while heâd glare at you with that fiery look.Â
But for now, you padded down the hall, completely barefoot, on a mission.
The closer you got, the stronger his scent becameâthat familiar, intoxicating mix of burnt caramel and something inherently Katsuki. You spotted him before he even saw you, standing at the stove, his back turned, a spatula in hand as he expertly flipped eggs in a pan. His muscles were taut, his broad shoulders moving effortlessly as he worked. He was dressed in nothing more than a pair of sweatpants that hung low on his hips, and you couldnât help but admire the sight.
With a mischievous grin, you quietly made your way over, your bare feet silent against the floor. And then, in one swift move, you leapt onto his back, wrapping your arms around his shoulders and burying your face into the crook of his neck.Â
âHi, fiancĂ©!â you greeted, your voice muffled as you inhaled deeply, taking in that addictive scent that was all his.
Katsuki stiffened for a split second, more from surprise than anything else, but he quickly recovered. With a chuckle, he reached over and turned off the stove, placing the spatula down before his hands found their way to your thighs, gripping them as he adjusted your weight.
âYouâre gonna burn the damn house down one day, yâknow that?â he muttered, but there was a playful note in his voice. Before you could even respond, he effortlessly spun you around, lifting you off his back and setting you down on the kitchen counter nearby. His strength never failed to amaze you, and you giggled as your bare legs dangled off the edge, your hands resting on his chest.
His eyes softened as he leaned in, brushing his lips against yours in a soft, lazy good morning kiss. âHi, teddy bear,â he mumbled against your lips, his voice still raspy from sleep.
You smiled into the kiss, but just as you started to pull him closer, he pulled back, narrowing his eyes suspiciously. âDid you brush your teeth?â he asked, raising an eyebrow.
You snorted, shaking your head. âNo.â
He frowned, glancing down. âDid you use the bathroom?â
âNope.â
His scowl deepened, though you could see the teasing glint in his eyes. âWash your face?â
âAlso, no.â
Katsuki groaned dramatically, running a hand through his messy, spiked hair. âAnd this is exactly why youâre moving in with me today. You need supervision,â he grumbled, though his voice was more affectionate than angry. Before you could argue, he lightly smacked your thighs, the contact sending a playful jolt through you.Â
âKatsuki!â you gasped, half laughing as you swatted at him, but he only pointed toward the living room.
Your delicate features blossomed into an expression of confusion. âWhat?â But he didnât respond, instead looking so mischievous and pleased with himself.
Thatâs when you noticed itâhalf of your living room was in disarray, large boxes stacked high, and furniture already disassembled. It looked like a moving truck had stormed through your place. Your jaw dropped as you stared at the sight.
âKATSUKI!â you shrieked, your voice bouncing off the walls as the reality of what heâd done sank in. He had already packed half your stuffâwithout even telling you! You couldnât believe it.
He didnât even flinch at your outburst, just gave you that smug, self-satisfied grin of his, crossing his arms over his broad chest.Â
âWhat? I told you, youâre movinâ in today. Thought Iâd help speed things up,â he said, shrugging as if he hadnât just dismantled your entire living room.
You huffed, staring at the boxes like you couldnât believe your eyes. âYou couldâve at least warned me!â
He chuckled, stepping closer until he was standing between your legs, his hands resting on either side of your waist. âNah. Youâd just overthink it. This way, itâs done, and we donât have to argue about it,â he smirked, leaning in to kiss your nose.
You rolled your eyes, though you couldnât help but smile. âIâm still not done with school, you know. And we havenât even⊠thereâs no⊠ring on your finger.â
Katsuki quirked a brow, his smirk turning wicked. âI told you, give me my wallet, and you can surprise me with the ring.â
You laughed, shaking your head at his nonchalance. âYou canât be serious.â
âOh, I am,â he said, the playful edge to his voice making your heart skip a beat. âAnd donât worry about school. You can study at my place just fine.â
You opened your mouth to protest, but before you could say anything, he kissed you again, this time more firmly, his lips capturing yours in a way that made your head spin. You melted into it, your hands finding their way to his shoulders as you pulled him closer, your feet curling around his calves.
When he finally pulled back, you were breathless, your lips tingling. âYou donât play fair,â you muttered, but the smile on your face betrayed you.
He grinned, kissing your forehead softly before pressing his lips to your knuckles where your ring sat. âI play to win, babe. And I already did,â he whispered, his voice low and full of affection.
You sighed, leaning into him, knowing full well that Katsuki Bakugou always got his way.
Before you could respond to his sweet words, a mischievous glint sparked in your eyes. You leaned in closer, pretending to go in for another kiss, but at the last second, you bit himâjust lightly, on his shoulderâbefore snatching the plate of bacon from the counter. Katsuki blinked, his eyes widening in confusion before narrowing sharply as he processed what had just happened.
âYou little brat!â he growled, his voice full of playful irritation.
With a squeal, you jumped off the counter, bare feet hitting the cold floor, and bolted for the bedroom, the stolen bacon in hand. You knew exactly what you were doing. Katsuki typically hated when anyone touched his food (although he actually had a habit of feeding you from his plate and fork), but you couldnât help it. You loved riling him up, especially when he got that fire in his eyes!~
"Come back here, princess!" he barked, and the sound of his footsteps echoed behind you.
You darted around the corner, your heart pounding with adrenaline and laughter bubbling in your throat. The hardwood floor was slippery, and you barely made it to the door when Katsukiâs booming footsteps got louder. He was fast, too fast.Â
A real predator on the hunt, and you were his target.
âFuuuuck it, we ball!â you shouted over your shoulder, laughing as you slid into the bedroom. You could hear him cursing under his breath, muttering something about how you were always testing him. You were a princess, and yeah, maybe a bit of a brat, but that was part of your charm. You loved to push his buttons, loved how easy it was to get under his skin.
You heard the door slam behind you as Katsuki entered the room, hot on your heels. His eyes locked on yours, his gaze intense as he advanced. You tried to dodge him, but he was quicker, snatching the plate of bacon from your hands before grabbing your waist and pulling you back into his chest.
âGotcha now, you little thief,â he growled in your ear, his voice low and warning, but you could hear the amusement in his tone.
You squirmed, trying to wiggle out of his grasp, but he held you firm, his arms like steel bands around your waist. âOkay, okay! I surrender!â you giggled, breathless from the chase.
âYouâre damn right you do,â he murmured before spinning you around and planting a quick, searing kiss on your lips. It was rough, but it was Katsuki through and throughâfiery, intense, and full of passion.
You grinned against his lips, leaning into him. âGuess Iâm still your little brat then, huh?â
He smirked, brushing a strand of hair out of your face as he looked down at you with that same possessive, loving gaze that always made your heart skip a beat. âDamn right you are. My brat, my princess, my pain in the ass.â
You laughed, nuzzling into his chest as you felt his arms tighten around you. âAnd youâre my grumpy fiancĂ©,â you teased, poking his ribs.
Katsuki grumbled, but his smirk softened, his lips brushing the top of your head. âYeah. But Iâm your grumpy fiancĂ©, so fuck itâwe ball.â
In that moment, tangled together, laughter still lingering in the air, you knew without a doubt that you were his, and he was yours. No matter what life throws at you, youâd face it together.Â
Always.

assistant! reader ignoring model! karina after a fight

pairing: model! karina x female assistant! reader
word count: 942
summary: after a heated argument, y/n had enough of jiminâs antics and decided to ignore her completely. at first, jimin didnât careâor at least, thatâs what she told herself. but as the silence stretched on, frustration turned into something she didnât want to acknowledge. jimin never apologizedâshe never had to. but for y/n? she just might make an exception.
from my series: the devil wears prada
jimin had never been good at saying sorry.
in fact, she rarely ever had to. apologies were for people who made mistakes, and as far as she was concerned, she was never wrong. people always bent to her will, never the other way around.
but this? this was unbearable.
it all started earlier that day, when jimin, in all her bratty, self-important glory, had snapped at y/n in front of an entire room of people.
the day had been chaoticâphotoshoots, fittings, meetings with designersâand jimin had been running on nothing but black coffee, four hours of sleep, and sheer irritation.
y/n, ever the responsible assistant, had tried to remind her of a scheduling conflict, something about overlapping appointments and the need to reschedule one of them. but jimin, already overwhelmed and not in the mood to be nagged, had brushed her off.
noâbrushed off was too soft. she had outright snapped.
âoh my god, y/n, just shut up for a second and let me think!â
the room had gone silent.
the stylists, the makeup artists, even the photographerâeveryone had turned their heads, the tension so thick it was suffocating. jimin, in her frustration, hadnât thought much of it at the time. she had simply turned back to her reflection in the mirror, adjusting the outfit she was wearing like nothing had happened.
but y/nâs expression had flickered, lips pressed together as she inhaled slowly through her nose. she hadnât said a word in response. instead, she had simply nodded, composed and professional as ever, before quietly stepping away.
jimin should have known then.
should have known that y/n was really mad.
and now, hours later, as they sat in jiminâs penthouse, jimin was suffering the consequences.
y/n was ignoring her.
not in the petty, passive-aggressive way that most people did, where they sighed dramatically and stomped around to make a point. no, y/n was doing it with precision. calculated indifference.
she still did her jobâsetting down jiminâs evening tea, organizing her schedule, responding to emails. but she did it all without a single glance in jiminâs direction.
no sarcastic remarks, no witty comebacks, not even an exasperated âjimin, please.â
just silence.
jimin hated it.
she was used to being the center of attention, used to people doting on her, catering to her every whim. even when she and y/n did fight, it never lasted long because, inevitably, jimin would do something to annoy her into speaking again.
but this? this was like being invisible.
and jimin hated being invisible.
finally, she snapped.
âare you seriously still mad?â jimin demanded from her spot on the couch.
silence.
y/n didnât even look up from her tablet, fingers tapping away like jimin hadnât spoken at all.
jimin narrowed her eyes. ây/n.â
nothing.
she huffed, draping herself over the armrest dramatically. âcome on,â she groaned. âyouâre acting like a child.â
y/n continued scrolling.
jimin was starting to lose patience.
ây/n, i swear, if you keep this up, iâllââ
y/n suddenly stood, grabbing the empty teacup from the coffee table before turning towards the kitchen, still not acknowledging jimin.
jimin scoffed. âoh my god. you do realize you work for me, right? ignoring me isnât exactly part of your job description.â
silence.
y/n rinsed the cup under the sink.
jimin followed her, stopping at the counter.
âso thatâs it? youâre just going to act like i donât exist?â jimin pressed, crossing her arms.
y/n continued drying the cup, her expression unreadable.
jimin tapped her fingers against the counter impatiently. ây/n.â
y/n set the cup down.
ây/n,â jimin repeated, her voice a little softer this time.
nothing.
the frustration bubbling inside her started shifting into something else. something⊠unfamiliar.
jimin sighed, shifting her weight. âlook.â she rubbed her arm, suddenly feeling uncharacteristically awkward. she averted her eyes before forcing herself to meet y/nâs gaze.
âi guessâi mightâveâbeen a littleâŠâ she grimaced, struggling to force the words out. âharsh earlier.â
y/n raised an eyebrow.
jimin exhaled sharply. âugh, fine,â she relented. âi was rude. there. i said it.â
y/n remained unimpressed.
jimin clenched her jaw. âwhat more do you want?â
y/n sighed, finally setting the towel down. âi just donât get why you have to be like that sometimes.â
jimin frowned. âlike what?â
âmean,â y/n deadpanned. âyou treat people like theyâre disposable when youâre stressed out. i get that you have a lot on your plate, but iâm not your punching bag, jimin.â
jimin opened her mouth to argue but promptly shut it when she realized⊠y/n wasnât wrong.
and that was a hard pill to swallow.
she scowled, rubbing the back of her neck. âi didnât mean to snap at you.â
y/n tilted her head. âthen why did you?â
jimin hesitated.
she wasnât used to admitting when she was wrong.
she wasnât used to⊠this.
after a long pause, she sighed heavily. âbecause i was frustrated,â she muttered.
y/n blinked, taken aback by the rare moment of honesty.
jimin clicked her tongue. âbut i shouldnât have taken it out on you.â
y/n crossed her arms, leaning against the counter. âyou think?â
jimin rolled her eyes. âdonât push it.â
y/n smirked. âi dunno, i think i should push it. this is the first time iâve seen you be considerate.â
jimin scoffed. âshut up.â
y/n laughed, shaking her head before stepping away.
jimin watched her go, feeling⊠lighter.
she still hated apologizing.
she still hated admitting she was wrong.
but for y/n?
she supposed she could make an exception.

WHERE THE COFFEE IS ALWAYS HOT
(Diner Owner Abby x Single Mom Reader Headcanons / Inspired by Luke Danes and Lorelai Gilmore from Gilmore Girls)
!!Includes SFW and NSFW!! CW: wc... 2.7k - hc's, fluff, rough, real long and dirty tbh, mentions of both of you having partners before getting together, tension, morning sex, diner counter fucking, shower sex, face sitting, fingering (r!receiving), oral sex (a!receiving) mostly top butch abby

SFW
Grumpy Abby, Sunshine You: Abby Andersonâthe butch, no-nonsense, grease-stained, and flannel-clad diner ownerâis known for her deadpan humor, perpetual scowl, and habit of cleaning a perfectly clean countertop just to avoid small talk. Meanwhile, youâre the charming, chatty regular who somehow worms your way into her life. You stroll in every morning, all bright-eyed with your kid in tow, talking her ear off about your chaotic work schedule or your latest attempt at cooking something other than boxed mac and cheese. Abby pretends to be annoyed, tossing out a gruff, âYou ever shut up?â but she secretly looks forward to your rambling.
Saturday Breakfast Tradition: Every Saturday morning, you and your 9-year-old daughter settle into your usual boothâthe one near the window, where the sun hits perfectly. Your kid demands a hot chocolate with extra whipped cream and a pancake shaped like a dinosaur (even though it always ends up looking more like a deformed blob). Abby, with a playful eye roll, dutifully delivers, never once mentioning how misshapen the pancake actually is. She even drizzles syrup around it like a moat, just to make your daughter giggle.
You and Abby have your own language of banter, a constant push-and-pull that keeps everyone in the diner entertained.
You: âIs the coffee supposed to be this bitter, or is this just a reflection of your personality?â Abby: (deadpan) âYou want sugar or are you just gonna keep being a pain in my ass?â You: (grinning) âWhatâs the difference?â Her lips twitch like sheâs fighting a smirk, but you catch the subtle dimples anyway.
Your kid picks up on the playful bickering and joins in.
Your daughter: (innocently) âAbby, why are you always so grumpy?â Abby: (mock scowl) âBecause some kid makes me make weird pancakes every week.â Your daughter: (smugly) âYou love it.â
Late-Night Diner Visits: On your worst days, you find yourself at the diner long after closing. Abby, still wiping down tables in her usual rolled-up sleeves and worn-out jeans, lets you in without a word. She makes you a grilled cheese and sits with you in the dimly lit diner, quietly nursing a beer while you vent about work or single-parent struggles. She never says much, just listens with a steady presence. When you get too tired to talk, she squeezes your hand, calloused fingers firm but gentle, and you swear she holds on just a little longer than necessary.
The Handywoman:
Abby, ever the butch handyman, becomes your unofficial repairwoman. When your kitchen sink leaks or your window frame sticks, sheâs at your place with her toolbox before you even finish describing the problem. She grumbles under her breath the whole timeâmocking your âshoddyâ faucet and declaring your window âa lost causeââbut she fixes it anyway. You offer to pay her, but she just smirks and says, âYou cook. I fix. Deal?â
You often come home to find tiny repairs you didnât even ask forâa newly patched wall, a freshly oiled door hinge. She never mentions it, but you always notice.
Abby and Your Kid: Abby is a total softie for your daughter. She teaches her how to tie proper knots, use a wrench, and change a bike tire. Your kid starts bragging to her friends, proudly declaring, âMy momâs friend can fix anything.â Sometimes, Abby lets her help at the dinerâletting her sprinkle cheese on burgers or pretend to take your order with a notepad.
When your daughter gets sick, Abby shows up with a fresh batch of soup and a stuffed dinosaur she won at the county fair, grumbling about how she âjust had it lying around,â even though youâre pretty sure she spent an hour trying to win it.
Jealous Abby: The first time you go on a date, Abby is grumpier than usual. She slams plates onto tables a little too hard and glares at the poor bastard sitting across from you through the diner window. When you return, she doesnât ask how it went. Instead, she casually mutters, âYour taste in men sucks.â
The Girlfriend Phase: For a brief, painful period, Abby dates someone. The woman is conventionally prettyâstylish, delicate hands, perfect makeupâand she clearly doesnât like you. She gives you the cold shoulder and glares when she catches Abby sneaking smiles at you from behind the counter.
One night, you find Abby on your porch, beer in hand, freshly broken up. âShe didnât like the people I care about,â she mutters. She wonât meet your eyes, but her knuckles brush yours on the porch swing, and you feel your heart stutter.
The First Kiss: It happens after months of unresolved tensionâafter late-night repair visits, lingering stares, and brushes of her fingers against yours. One evening, Abby is fixing a leaky faucet in your kitchen, sleeves rolled up, arms slick with water. When she finally finishes, she leans back on her heels and grins smugly.
âWhat would you do without me?â she teases, wiping her hands on a rag.
Without thinking, you grab her wrist and tug her toward you. You kiss herâslow, lingering, and deliberate. Abby freezes for half a second before she melts into you, hands cupping your face, thumbs brushing over your cheeks. When you pull back, breathless, she presses her forehead against yours and chuckles softly.
âFinally,â she whispers, before kissing you again.
Your Daughterâs Adorable Reaction: You try to be subtle at first, keeping your newfound relationship quiet. But your daughter catches you sooner than expected. One morning, she strolls into the kitchen and finds Abby pressed against the counter, your hands in her hair, lips locked.
Your daughter: (deadpan) âUmm⊠are you guys kissing?â You and Abby freeze, eyes wide. Abby: (awkwardly) âUh⊠yeah.â Your daughter just shrugs and grins. âCool. Does this mean Abby can sleep over all the time now?â

NSFW
Kitchen Counter Chaos: One night, you stop by the diner after hours to thank Abby for fixing your broken window. One thing leads to another, and suddenly, sheâs pinning you to the counter, her strong arms bracketing you in. Her rough hands slide under your shirt, tugging it over your head, and her mouth trails hot, open-mouthed kisses down your neck. You dig your fingers into her short hair as she pulls your legs around her waist, her hips grinding against yours. The countertop digs into your back, but you barely notice with her between your thighs.
Lazy Morning Sex: When Abby sleeps over, she wakes early but doesnât leave the bed. Instead, she rolls you onto your stomach, pressing lazy kisses along your shoulder blades. Her hand slowly drifts beneath your shirt, palm splayed across your stomach, fingers trailing lower. She takes her time, slow and deliberate, until youâre trembling beneath her.
Possessive Words: After confessing how jealous you were of her ex, Abby pins you against the wall, her breath hot against your ear. âYou couldâve just said you wanted me,â she murmurs darkly before kissing you roughly. Her fingers curl around the back of your neck, voice low and possessive. âYouâre mine. Got it?â
Sweaty, Greasy, & Gorgeous:
You have a not-so-secret thing for Abby fresh from workingâa grease stain on her cheek, arms flexing in her white tank. Sheâs halfway through kicking off her boots when you grab her by the tool belt and pull her onto the couch, kissing her hard enough to make her groan against your lips, and everytime without fail, it ends in you on your knees, face buried between her legs as your toungue laps on her pussy.
Rough, Desperate, Canât-Wait Sex:
One night, after the diner closes, youâre helping Abby clean up. Youâre wiping down a table, and sheâs behind the counter, her gaze dark and heavy as she watches you bend over ever so slightly. The tension is palpableâthe kind thatâs been simmering for weeks. Finally, she snaps. Without a word, she grabs your wrist and drags you into the back storage room. She slams the door shut and presses you against the wall, her lips crashing against yours with raw, unrestrained hunger.
Her hands are rough and desperate as they push your pants down, knuckles grazing your thighs. Her mouth is on your neck, biting and sucking, leaving faint bruises as she growls low against your skin. âWhy do you have to be so damn gorgeous?â she pants, voice husky. She doesnât waste time with teasingâsheâs already dropping to her knees, lips trailing down your stomach as she hooks your legs over her shoulders, holding you in place with a bruising grip.
Her mouth is hot and relentless, making you squirm against the wall. When you tug at her hair, she groans into you, the vibration making you shudder. Her fingers are rough with callouses as they curl inside you, moving with purpose. She doesn't stop until your legs are shaking and youâre clinging to her broad shoulders, gasping her name like a prayer.
Kitchen Table:
Itâs late, and Abbyâs at your place after fixing your leaky faucet. Sheâs still in her flannel, the sleeves rolled up, and sheâs leaning against your counter, arms crossed, watching you with a lazy smirk. Youâre leaning over the kitchen table, cleaning up your daughterâs craft supplies, when you feel her warm breath against your neck.
âYou shouldâve asked me to fix you instead,â she mutters, voice low and gravelly.
Before you can retort, her hands are on your hips, guiding you back against her. Sheâs firm but careful, holding you in place, her lips teasing along the shell of your ear. When you push your hips back against her, she groans, hands tightening possessively.
She bends you over the kitchen table, sliding your shorts down with slow, deliberate movements. Her hands are roughâcalloused and slightly scraped from all the repair workâand they feel so good gripping your thighs. She doesnât hold back, fingers thrusting into you with an almost punishing pace, making you gasp and clutch the edge of the table.
Her voice is gravelly in your ear as she mutters, âYou take it so fucking good for me.â When you moan her name, she smirks against your neck and growls, âLouder. Let me hear you.â
Over the Diner Counter:
You show up at the diner after hours, wearing one of Abbyâs flannels over nothing but your underwear. Sheâs leaning against the counter, cleaning a mug, but her eyes lock onto you the second you walk in. Her pupils darken as she slowly sets the mug down, wiping her hands on a rag.
âYouâre gonna regret that,â she mutters darkly, her voice low and raspy.
You saunter over, leaning against the counter, giving her a teasing smirk. Before you know it, sheâs grabbing your wrist and hauling you over the counter. Your back hits the cool surface as she wedges herself between your legs, pulling the flannel open with one swift tug. Her lips are on you instantlyâhot, possessive kisses that leave you breathless.
She doesnât waste time. Her hands are everywhereâgripping your thighs, squeezing your hips. When she pushes two fingers into you, she watches your face with that cocky, satisfied smirk. âYouâre so wet for me already,â she growls against your jaw. Her pace is rough and unrelenting, her fingers moving with purpose, hitting that spot that makes you arch off the counter.
When you whimper her name, she grips your jaw, forcing you to look at her. âEyes on me, baby,â she commands, her voice rough with need. She doesnât let you look away, holding your gaze as she makes you fall apart beneath her.
Shower Sex â Steamy and Wet:
After a long, sweaty day at the diner, Abby shows up at your place. Her white tank is clinging to her back, her hair damp from running her hands through it, and she smells faintly of motor oil and wood smoke. You drag her into the shower without a second thought, stripping her down and pulling her under the hot spray.
The second the water hits her skin, sheâs all over youâbacking you against the tiles, her lips trailing down your wet skin. She drops to her knees, her hands spreading your thighs apart, and she kisses the inside of your thighs with slow, teasing nips. When you whine her name, she smirks up at you, droplets of water clinging to her eyelashes.
Her tongue is slow and deliberate at firstâlong, languid strokes that make your legs tremble. When you clutch her damp hair, she groans against you, gripping your hips tighter. Her fingers leave bruises on your thighs as she holds you still, devouring you with a maddening rhythm that makes your legs buckle.
When you tug her up by her wet hair, desperate for her lips, she presses you into the wall and slides her thigh between your legs. Her voice is rough in your ear as she growls, âRide me.â The friction of her strong thigh against you is almost too much, and when she grips your ass with both hands, pulling you harder against her, you come undone with a cry muffled by her kiss.
Wall-Fucking, Abby Style:
You show up at the diner wearing a little sundressâshort enough to drive Abby absolutely feral. She watches you flit around the place, talking to other customers, flashing smiles that should be hers. By the time you get up to leave, Abbyâs practically vibrating with jealousy.
The second youâre out of sight, she grabs your wrist and drags you into the alley behind the diner. She presses you against the brick wall, caging you in with her broad frame. Her lips crash against yours, hot and possessive.
âYou like driving me crazy, huh?â she mutters against your mouth.
Her hands yank up your dress, bunching the fabric at your waist. She hikes your leg around her hip, her strong thigh pressing between yours. Her fingers are rough and desperate as they slide inside you, and she growls low in your ear,
âYouâre mine. No one else gets to see you like this.â
She fucks you against the wall with raw need, her pace relentless. When you dig your nails into her back, she grunts in satisfaction, grinding her hips against yours as she pushes you higher and higher. When you finally cry out her name, she smirks wickedly and presses her lips against your throat,
âThatâs it, baby. Let everyone hear who you belong to.â
Face-Sitting:
Youâre sprawled out on Abbyâs bed, legs spread, breathless and needy. She stands at the edge of the bed, shirtless, jeans unbuttoned, looking down at you with that cocky smirk.
âYouâre gonna ride my face,â she growls, gripping your hips and pulling you onto her. She lies back, hands firmly gripping your thighs, keeping you in place.
She doesnât let you be shyâshe pulls you down onto her tongue with firm hands, growling when you try to squirm away. Her tongue is relentlessâslow at first, then fast and needy, flicking and curling in perfect rhythm. Her rough, calloused fingers dig into your thighs, keeping you exactly where she wants you.
âDonât run from it,â she groans against you. âI wanna feel you fall apart on me.â
When you finally come undone, legs trembling around her head, she holds you there, keeping you riding her through the aftershocks. And when you collapse, breathless and boneless, she grins smugly from between your legs, her face flushed and slick with you.

Error 404: Feelings not Found
pairing: jeon wonwoo x f!reader | wc: 4.0k genre: fluff, electrical engineering student wonwoo (pulled out my textbooks for this) warnings: loserboy core a/n: for all my fellow left-brained girlies who have never really understood feelings. sometimes, all you have to do is feel // now playing: when he sees me // thank u kae @ylangelegy for the song suggestion and betaing ily muah!
summary: Wonwoo has always been comfortable in the world of logic. But his crush on you? A catastrophic anomaly in his otherwise perfectly functioning system.
Wonwoo has always been comfortable in the world of logic. Numbers are predictable, formulas are consistent, and circuits behave exactly as theyâre supposed to. But his crush on you? A catastrophic anomaly in his otherwise perfectly functioning system.
Itâs not like he planned for this. (Wonwoo plans for everything.) He planned how to tackle his midterms, down to how much coffee heâd need for optimal brain function. He planned his study schedule for finals week with a level of precision that could rival NASAâs launch timelines. But he didnât plan for youâdidnât account for how youâd waltz into his life, smiling like it was easy, and throw every variable heâd ever known into disarray.
Take last week, for instance. Youâd borrowed his notes in Signals class after the professorâs lecture turned into a chaotic sprint of equations, leaving most of the class scrambling to catch up. Wonwooâs notes, as always, were pristineâstraight lines, perfect margins, not a single smudge or scribble.
âThese are amazing,â youâd said, eyes scanning the page before handing them back. âYour designs are so clean.â
Simple, right? A harmless comment. But by the time heâs back at his desk, staring at his notebook, the words replay in his mind like an unsolved equation. Somewhere between âcleanâ and the way you smiled, his brain spins out of control, dragging him into an entirely unnecessary analysis.
By the time the clock strikes midnight, heâs halfway through a list of possible interpretations for the word clean.
Did you mean clean as in technically proficient?
Or was it a general observation, like, âOh, clean lines, nice workâ?
Was it just a filler compliment?
Wait, what if you didnât care about the project at all and were just being polite?
âŠOr were you flirting?
By the end of the day, the list has ballooned to 27 points, each item meticulously numbered and annotated with follow-up questions. Heâs considered:
The tone of your voice (friendly, teasing, or something else entirely?).
The duration of eye contact (exactly 2.3 secondsâlong enough to register intent?).
The statistical likelihood of romantic interest based on casual interactions in a shared academic setting.
He even creates a small flowchart titled âCompliment Probability Breakdownâ in the margins, complete with arrows leading to various outcomes: âCasual commentâ â âFriendly dispositionâ â âNo further analysis needed.â Except, of course, he does further analyze. He always further analyzes.
Mingyu finds him later that night, still hunched over the notebook with a pencil tucked behind his ear. âWonwoo, what are you doing? Itâs a compliment, man. Just take it.â
Wonwoo glares up at him, a little defensive. âCompliments can have layers.â
âCompliments are not onions, dude. Sometimes people just say stuff because they mean it.â Mingyu grabs the notebook, flipping through pages of scribbled notes and diagrams. âWait, are you seriously tracking eye contact now?â
Wonwoo snatches it back with a huff. âItâs for clarity.â
âClarity,â Mingyu repeats, shaking his head. âOkay, listen: not everything needs a breakdown. Maybe she just thinks youâre good at this stuff.â
The suggestion should feel reassuring, but it only creates more questions. Do you think heâs good at this stuff? Wonwooâs chest tightens as the overanalysis starts up again, his brain racing to decode every minor interaction between you two.
And for the first time in his life, he wonders if thereâs a problem even logic canât solve.
The first time Wonwoo realizes he might have a crush on you is during a Circuits lab. The task is simple: build an EKG circuit. The professorâs voice echoes in the background, laying out the steps, but Wonwoo doesnât need instructionsâheâs already ahead, mentally piecing together the circuit in his mind like a jigsaw puzzle.
You, him, and Soonyoung are grouped together. Soonyoung, true to form, spends more time spinning a pen between his fingers and accidentally dropping it than actually contributing. âWhatâs a diode again?â he whispers, squinting at the diagram. Wonwoo doesnât bother answering. Heâs focused on soldering the components, the familiar rhythm of it calming.
Then you lean closer. Close enough that he catches the faint scent of your shampooâsomething floral, light, completely unexpected.
âWow, youâre fast,â you say as Wonwoo expertly attaches a capacitor to the circuit. Thereâs a trace of genuine admiration in your voice, enough to make him falter. âIâd probably still be looking for the resistor.â
The comment shouldnât faze him. Itâs just a compliment, nothing extraordinary. He glances at you, briefly, before immediately looking back at the board. It feels safer not to meet your eyes for too long. âUh, itâs color-coded,â he manages, his voice steady but quieter than usual. âYou just⊠follow the stripes.â
You laugh softly, the sound threading its way into his chest like a loose wire connecting where it shouldnât. âYeah, but itâs not that simple for everyone,â you say, brushing a stray hair out of your face as you turn your attention to the circuit.
The way you say it makes his chest feel strangely tightâlike youâve taken something as mundane as resistors and turned it into a compliment, like youâre saying heâs not simple either. Itâs a ridiculous thought, and yet it roots itself in his mind.
Wonwooâs hand, soldering iron poised mid-air, doesnât move. His brain, which usually fires on all cylinders, freezes like an overloaded processor. The soldering iron hovers dangerously close to the board, but all he can focus on is the way your hair catches the light, the way your fingers curl around the resistor as you inspect it. Wonwoo doesnât mean to notice, but suddenly he canât stop noticingâthe way the fluorescent light reflects in your eyes, the faint trace of soap on your hands when you adjust a wire, the warmth radiating from your voice when you hum quietly in thought.
Itâs not until Soonyoung gently clears his throat that he realizes his brain has completely stopped functioning. His usually razor-sharp focus is now cluttered with incoherent static.Â
âWonwoo?â you ask, leaning back slightly to meet his eyes. Thereâs a hint of concern in your voice. âYou good?â
He panics. âUh. 100 ohms.â
Your brow furrows. âWhat?â
âUhâ100 ohms,â he repeats, gesturing vaguely at the resistor in your hand like it explains anything. âThatâs⊠its resistance.â
Thereâs a beat of silence, thick and awkward. You blink at him, clearly trying to piece together whatever heâs just said. Then you burst out laughing, shaking your head as you turn back to the project. âOkay, resistor boy. Whatever you say.â
The sound of your laughter leaves his chest feeling tight, like someoneâs replaced his heart with a capacitor about to blow.
Soonyoung, whoâs been watching the exchange with far too much interest, smirks. He leans over the table, stage-whispering, âWhat was that?â
âWhat was what?â Wonwoo mutters, focusing on the soldering again, as if he can undo the entire exchange by sheer force of will.
âYouâre usually all cool and robotic,â Soonyoung teases, wagging his pen like itâs some kind of magic wand. âThat was⊠weird.â
Wonwoo shakes his head quickly, but the heat creeping up the back of his neck says otherwise. âI donât know,â he mumbles, the words barely audible over the hum of the soldering iron. âI think I glitched.â
âUh, yeah. Glitched hard.â Soonyoung grins, nudging him in the ribs. âMan, this is going to be fun to watch.â
Wonwoo groans, his ears burning. The circuit in front of him makes perfect senseâthe resistors, the capacitors, the impedance of the op-ampâbut nothing about you fits into a neat schematic. And for the first time in his life, that terrifies him.
Now, weeks later, Wonwoo is in his room, utterly consumed by the mess on his desk. Itâs an anomaly in itselfâWonwoo is meticulous, his workspace usually a shrine to organization (he always says: clean desk, clean mind). But now, papers are scattered like fallen leaves, covered in scribbles, equations, and bullet points that grow increasingly frantic as they spread across the desk.
The centerpiece of this chaos? A flowchart spanning two pages, taped together like some sort of grand engineering blueprint. Itâs titled, in block letters: âSigns She Might Like Me Back.â
Wonwoo taps his pen against the paper, staring at the branching lines as if sheer focus might make them reveal the answer heâs been agonizing over. Beneath the title are subcategories labeled âPhysical Cues,â âVerbal Indicators,â and, his personal favorite, âAmbiguous Behavior That Could Go Either Way.â
Under âPhysical Cues,â heâs written:
Smiles when she sees me.
Leans closer during conversation (but what if itâs because of background noise?).
Touches my arm (happened once, inconclusive).
Under âVerbal Indicators,â thereâs a bullet that reads:
Complimented my handwriting. Significance unclear.
Heâs in the middle of adding a new branchââInitiates conversation (specific or casual?)ââwhen the door bursts open without warning.
âWonwoo, what the hell are you doing? Itâs 3 AM.â Mingyu strides in, holding a bowl of instant ramen and a look of mild concern. His gaze lands on the desk, and his expression shifts to outright amusement. âWait⊠what is this?â
Wonwoo freezes like heâs been caught committing a federal crime. He instinctively moves to cover the flowchart with both arms, but itâs far too late. Mingyu steps closer, craning his neck to read the edges of the paper that Wonwoo couldnât shield in time.
ââCompliments: Genuine or Politeâ?â Mingyu reads aloud, his voice rising in barely-contained glee. He sets the ramen down and leans over the desk. ââSmiles frequentlyâfriendly or flirty?â WonwooâŠâ He looks at his friend, wide-eyed and grinning. âAre you seriously trying to analyze feelings right now?â
âNo,â Wonwoo lies, far too quickly. âItâs⊠theoretical.â
Mingyu snorts, dropping into the chair beside him and spinning it halfway around before leaning forward. âTheoretical? Dude, this looks like the final project for your psych elective. Come on, whatâs the problem? Spill.â
Wonwoo hesitates, gripping his pen like itâs the only thing tethering him to reality. But the weight of weeks of overthinking finally tips the scale, and he lets out a long sigh, setting the pen down.
âI just donât⊠get it,â he admits, gesturing vaguely to the papers. âFeelings are so inconsistent. They donât follow any rules. Thereâs no formula to predict intent, no way to be certain what someone means. How do people know if someoneâs interested in them? How do you know when to⊠I donât know, do something about it?â
Mingyu leans back in the chair, arms crossed as he considers the question. âEasy,â he says after a beat. âYou stop thinking about it so much and just ask them out.â
Wonwoo blinks at him, utterly horrified. âThatâs⊠illogical. Thatâs guessing. Thatâs like building a circuit without testing the components first. What if the whole thing explodes?â
âYeah, well, feelings arenât supposed to be logical,â Mingyu says with a shrug, grabbing the bowl of ramen and slurping a mouthful. He claps Wonwoo on the shoulder with his free hand, grinning around his chopsticks. âFace it, man. Youâre screwed.â
Wonwoo stares at him, expression blank but mind racing at a million miles an hour. âThereâs got to be a better way than just⊠guessing.â
âGood luck finding it,â Mingyu says, standing up and taking his ramen with him. âBut if you donât make a move soon, she might just think youâre not interested. So, you know⊠keep that in mind.â
Wonwoo sits in silence long after Mingyu leaves, staring down at his flowchart. His pen hovers over the paper, but he doesnât write anything. For once, the calculations feel insufficient.
And maybe, just maybe, Mingyuâs right.
The thing is, you keep throwing off his system. Wonwooâs world is built on rules, a place where inputs lead to predictable outputs. But you? Youâre the glitch in his perfectly functioning program, an anomaly he canât solve no matter how many late nights he spends overanalyzing.
The way you laugh at his deadpan jokesâitâs too loud for the library but not loud enough to draw attention, just enough to pull his gaze toward you. It doesnât matter that youâve already heard that joke during last weekâs study session; you laugh anyway, and the sound is unreasonably addictive. The way you ask for help even when he knows you donât need it. Like last week, when you slid your notebook toward him with a confused pout.
âCan you help me with this? I donât get it.â
He barely glanced at the equation. âYouâre way too smart to not understand this.â
And then you laughed, a soft, warm sound that curled around his chest and lodged itself there. That laugh earned a solid 15 points on his internal âPossible Signs of Interestâ checklist, though he later downgraded it to 10 because he couldnât account for external variables like your naturally kind disposition.
Itâs infuriating. Why do feelings refuse to conform to logic?
He tries analyzing every interaction, mapping out probabilities and outcomes in the quiet corners of his mind. Heâs drawn tables, diagrams, even flowcharts in an attempt to parse out the truth.
Was the way you leaned closer during study group last week a sign of interest? Or were you just trying to hear him better? Did the way you laughed at his dumb, offhand comment in class mean something? Or do you just laugh like that at everything?
Take today, for example: You brushed past him on your way to class, smiling and throwing over your shoulder, âSee you at study group later!â That brief moment derailed his entire afternoon.
Did you linger when your arm touched his? Or was that just an accidental graze? Was your smile just friendly, or something more?
And why does he care so much?
Wonwoo spends the rest of the day distracted, his mind looping through possibilities like an endless algorithm stuck in an infinite while-loop. Whatâs worse is that he doesnât even know what he wants the answer to be. A part of him craves certainty, some definitive sign that he should act on these feelings. But another partâa quieter, more cautious partâfears the idea of ruining the tenuous balance between you two.
Because what if heâs wrong? What if youâre just like this with everyone? What if he makes his move and you pull away, looking at him like heâs a problem to be solved instead of someone you enjoy spending time with?
By the time the study session rolls around, heâs teetering on the edge of complete disarray, not that heâd ever let it show.
Or so he thinks.
Because two hours in, he miscalculates an integral. An integral. Wonwoo never miscalculates anything.
You catch it immediately, tilting your head as you lean closer. He can feel the heat radiating off your skin, the soft rustle of your notebook as you shift it toward him.
âAre you okay, Wonwoo? Youâre usually so precise,â you say, your voice light but with an edge of curiosity.
His ears burn. âJust tired,â he mumbles, avoiding your gaze as he corrects the mistake. He doesnât add that itâs your proximity short-circuiting his brain, or that the way your hair falls over your shoulder is infinitely more distracting than any differential equation.
Your smirk lingers in his periphery, and he wonders if you can tell just how fast his heart is beating. He wonders if you feel the same strange, unexplainable pull that he does.
The study session stretches late into the evening. Most of the group has already packed up, and youâre the last one still typing away at your laptop when Wonwooâs caffeine miscalculation finally catches up to him.
He doesnât remember falling asleepâjust the faint hum of your keyboard and the warm glow of the desk lamp. When he stirs slightly, he feels a ghosting touch against his face.
Your fingers are gentle as you slide his glasses off, careful not to wake him. He feels the cool metal leave his skin, followed by the soft brush of your thumb near the mark his nose pad left.
His heart lurches, and he has to force himself to keep his breathing even. A dozen thoughts rush through his mind all at once:
Is she doing this because she likes me?No, sheâs just being considerate. But sheâs touching my face. What does that mean? What does it mean if sheâs touching my face?
He clenches his fists against the urge to open his eyes, to meet your gaze and demand answers. Instead, he forces himself to focus on the momentâthe sound of your quiet breaths, the occasional click of your mouse, and the warmth that radiates from your side of the table.
For a fleeting moment, he thinks: Maybe emotions donât always need to make sense. Maybe, just this once, he can let go of the need to understand everything.
Maybe, just this once, he can let himself feel.
Wonwoo doesnât know how itâs come to this. One moment, he was perfectly content at home, considering a quiet evening spent debugging code or reorganizing his bookshelves. The next, Mingyu and Soonyoung were in his room, looming like conspirators with matching grins.
âYou have to come,â Mingyu had said, tugging at the sleeves of Wonwooâs sweatshirt. âItâs social interaction, itâs good for you. Youâll thank us later.â
âNo, I wonât,â Wonwoo deadpanned, crossing his arms.
Soonyoung leaned in, holding up his phone with a smug look. âYou sure about that? Because I might have accidentally taken a picture of that Venn diagram you made the other day.â
Wonwoo froze, his blood running cold. âYou wouldnât.â
âOh, but I would.â Soonyoungâs grin widened. âAnd I bet someone would find it very⊠interesting.â
That was how he found himself lacing up his sneakers with a grim expression, muttering under his breath about betrayal and bad friends.
Now, standing awkwardly at the edge of a crowded house party, Wonwoo is reminded why he hates these things. The music is too loud, the lights are too dim, and there are far too many people moving unpredictably around him. Heâs already considering texting Mingyu and Soonyoung to demand their exact location when he spots you.
Youâre standing by the makeshift bar, laughing at something someone said, your smile so effortless it lights up the room in a way the cheap string lights never could. Wonwoo doesnât mean to stare, but his feet move before his brain can catch up. He tells himself itâs because youâre familiar, a safe point of contact in an otherwise chaotic environment.
But deep down, he knows better.
âWonwoo?â you call out, your eyes lighting up as you notice him approaching from the edge of the room.
He halts mid-step, caught somewhere between relief and apprehension, and forces out a casual, âHey.â His hands disappear into his pockets, his fingers fidgeting with loose threads, unsure what else to do.
You grin, leaning one elbow against the counter, your drink swaying lazily in your other hand. âYou donât seem like the party type,â you tease, tilting your head to study him.
âI was... coerced,â he replies flatly, and the corner of your mouth quirks up as you laugh.
âOh, let me guess.â You raise an eyebrow, pretending to think hard. âMingyu? No, noâSoonyoung. Or both? Definitely both.â
âTheyâre... relentless,â Wonwoo admits, almost sounding offended, but thereâs a faint twitch of a smile at the edges of his lips.
âWow. Dragged out of your hobbit hole just to stand here and glare at people? They mustâve bribed you with something really good.â
He looks away, almost sheepishly. âSomething like that.â
Your laugh rings out again, easy and unforced, and Wonwoo feels a little lighter despite himself. âPoor you,â you say, your voice dripping with mock sympathy. âDo you need a drink to cope? A strong one?â
He snorts. âIâm fine, thanks.â
âWell, you made it out of the house, so I guess thatâs something,â you say, stepping closer. âThough you do look like youâre two minutes away from bolting.â
He shrugs, his gaze flickering between you and the crowd. âItâs not my scene.â
âAnd yet, here you are,â you point out, your tone playful. âIs it for Mingyu? Or Soonyoung? OrâŠâ You pause, a slow smile spreading across your face. â...someone else?â
His brain short-circuits at your words, but he does his best to play it cool. âI think they just wanted to ruin my night.â
âHmm,â you hum, unconvinced but amused. âWell, Iâm glad youâre here. Itâs always fun seeing you outside your natural habitat. Like spotting a rare PokĂ©mon.â
âAm I supposed to thank you for that?â he asks dryly, and you grin.
The two of you ease into conversation, the party blurring into background noise as you chat. Wonwoo listens intently, hanging onto your every word as if your voice alone could drown out the overwhelming din around him. Heâs not even sure how much time has passed when you lean a little closer, the shift in your tone catching his attention.
âSo,â you say, a conspiratorial grin tugging at your lips. âDo you have anyone youâre crushing on?â
He freezes. The words settle in his chest like a sudden, unsteady weight.
Does he? Of course, he doesâyou. But his brain stalls, caught between the truth and the absolute terror of saying it out loud. Instead of answering, he scrambles for somethingâanythingâto say.
âIâm going to make an app,â he blurts out, the words tumbling from his mouth before he can stop them.
You blink, tilting your head. âAn app?â
He nods, trying to steady his voice even though his heart feels like itâs about to burst. âFeelings confuse me. So Iâm taking all the data Iâve collected and making an app to tell if someoneâs interested. Algorithms are easier for me to understand, anyway.â
Your expression flickers between confusion and amusement before a slow smirk spreads across your face. âWhat data, Wonwoo?â you ask, setting your drink down and stepping closer.
His throat goes dry. âIâI didnât meanââ
âBecause if youâve been collecting data,â you continue, your voice teasing as you close the distance between you, âIâd love to hear about it. What have you noticed?â
His pulse skyrockets as you reach for his hands, gently guiding them to rest on your waist. The warmth of your touch sends his mind spiraling, and for a moment, he forgets how to breathe. Your hands slide behind his neck, your fingers brushing against the sensitive skin there, and he feels like heâs standing on the edge of a cliff.
âI donât know how much more obvious I could have been,â you murmur, your teasing tone softening into something warmer, more certain.
His mind blanks. He should say somethingâanythingâbut all he can do is stare at you, completely undone.
Then you lean in, your lips brushing against his, tentative at first, as if waiting for him to meet you halfway. And when he doesâhesitant but earnestâyou smile into the kiss, your fingers tangling gently in his hair, and it feels like the world stops spinning.
For Wonwoo, everything finally clicks.
Itâs not a Venn diagram or a flowchart, and it doesnât follow any logical formula, but it makes sense in a way he canât explain. The way your hands fit behind his neck, the warmth of your body against his, the soft sigh that escapes you when his hands tighten on your waistâitâs all the proof he needs.
When you pull back, his head is spinning, but youâre still close, your breath mingling with his.
âSo,â you say, your tone light but your eyes impossibly warm. âDo you still need that app?â
He chuckles softly, the sound unsteady but genuine. âNo,â he admits, a small, shy smile tugging at his lips. âI think Iâve got all the data I need.â
You laugh, and the sound is music to his ears. For the first time in weeksâmonths, evenâWonwoo feels like he can stop overthinking, stop analyzing every little detail. He doesnât need an algorithm, a chart, or a diagram to tell him whatâs in front of him. Because some things donât need to be solved.
Some things just need to be felt.

RUMORS!
I KNOW YOU HEARD THE RUMORS, YOU MUST GET OVER TO IT RIGHT AWAY!
synopsis â ken sato- a remarkable name in the world of modern baseball- has graced japan with not only his presence, but also his skills as a key player for the yomiuri giants. from press conferences to media endorsements, itâs clear that his stardom has only intensified from his recent move. but what happens when you, his personal assistant, are left to deal with some more⊠serious rumors?
genre â chaotic fluff, oneshot
pairing â ken sato x gn-PA!reader
warnings â mild cursing, ami is not the reporter depicted!
word count â 2.2k
authorâs note â hiya! i recently found time to watch ultraman: rising and this fic was just writing itself in my head hehe⊠happy reading! (p.s. yes⊠the title was inspired from the new minions song)
THREE MONTHS. That was how long you had known baseballâs darling, Ken Sato. And in those three months, you had undergone every single PR nightmare you had ever conjured up in your mind prior to pursuing your career. You had worked with celebrities before- doing God knows what âtil the waking hour on their every beck and call. But Ken, despite presenting himself as a laid back man, was an entirely new⊠experience.Â
From the Kaiju attack at his first game under the Giants, to the continuous streak of losses throughout the first half of the season, it seemed like the Gods were against you as you did your damndest to handle the damage control on his reputation. His ego didnât aid you either- having to spin and twist multiple incidents to get reporters and media outlets off his back. You werenât exactly sure what it was that kept you from quitting all in all, but the longer you worked under him, the thinner your thread seemed to snap.Â
You huffed an annoyed sigh into the cold air, picking up the pace as you jogged along the designated path by the bay. Your days off were scarce- not because of Kenâs schedule, but because of your own decision to be up to date with his spontaneous actions. Despite the rarity of solitude, you always managed to savor your time off. The music played at a mellow volume in your ears, the morning sun starting to warm your surroundings as you watched its rays splash hues of orange across the sky.Â
Your felt your watch beep against your skin, signaling the end of your morning run. Pausing by the railing, you leaned against the old metal bars as you checked your stats. You swiped absent-mindedly on the screen of your smartwatch, scrolling once you were sure that everything was in order. There was one thing that caught your eye, though, as you noticed the red notification bubbles on your message app were continuously going up. It was odd, yes, but not odd enough to be out of the ordinary- at least in your line of work.Â
Deciding not to bombard yourself this early in the morning, you opted to give everything a once-over once you made it back to your apartment. Whatever it was could wait- you were on your time and your pace. Besides, it couldnât be that bad. Could it now?
IT DEFINITELY COULD, AND IT DEFINITELY WAS. You pushed on the gas as hard as you could, your tongue poking into your cheek as you continued to drive to Kenâs house. Of all the days that he decided to make perhaps the stupidest decision in his career, he chose today. Doing your best not to see red, you dialed his phone once more. The ringing played throughout your car as you maneuvered through the roads, and you swore for what felt like the umpteenth time that morning when you heard the tone of his voice message.Â
Hey, itâs Ken. Leave a message after the beep, and Iâll be more than happy to ignore it! Said his usual arrogant tone playing before the generic beep. You gripped the steering wheel harder, huffing angrily as you sharply turned a corner.Â
âKenji Sato answer your goddamn phone right now! Iâm ten minutes away from your house and when I get there, I better not be greeted with your supposed secret love child!â You yelled, pushing the red button once you finished your message.Â
Ah yes. The centerpoint of your current rage: Kenâs âleakedâ one-on-one with a reporter about juggling baseball and his homelife. Someone on Kenâs staff had sent the article in your shared work group chat, and nearly all of his personnel had directly messaged you about the issue. It was inevitable for celebrities to get into a scandal once or twice, but one on this level would not be an easy fit to overcome.Â
You donât exactly remember what you were doing prior to receiving the messages- all you knew was that you needed to get to Ken as soon as possible. Of course it just be a misunderstanding, hell it could even be a hoax! But knowing Kenji, anything could be possible. You neared the hill of his private property, driving past the gates as the security recognized your car.
You parked haphazardly at the front of his house, your feet stomping into the gravel as you made your way to his front door. His estate had numerous smart tech installed throughout his home, so you knew that each and every one of your moves were either being recorded or observed. You crouched slightly to be in frame with the doorbellâs camera, your anger slightly toned down.
âKen.â You paused to narrow your eyes. âOpen the door.â
For the next minute and a half you swore you could hear some sort of clash and bang from inside the house. You kept your arms crossed, raising your eyebrow from time to time when the clashing seemed to grow louder. After what felt like an eternity, the front door opened slightly. Not all the way, but just enough for Ken to peek out and smile at you- albeit nervously cocky.
The nerve.
âHey, [Y/N]! What uh- what are you doing here?â He manages to cough out, roughly combing a hand through his hair. âI thought it was your day o-â
âSave it.â You reply, your gaze sharp enough to slice through whatever excuse he had at the ready. You held up your phone then, the articleâs headline prominently bolded:
OUT OF LEFT FIELD: Ken Sato Strikeout? Nope! Love Child Home Run!
Kenâs head bent down to get a good look at what you were showing him, and you watched carefully as his eyes scanned over the article not once, but thrice. You let out an impatient hum, your mouth forming into a slight scowl as the both of you stood in silence. With your head tilted to the side, you dropped your hand back down and crossed your arms.Â
âAre you just gonna stand there or are you going to start explaining to me what the hell youâve been up to these past twenty-four hours?â You question, moving past him as you enter the house.Â
Usually you would wait for Ken to let you in, but stalling would only hinder you from coming up with what to do next. The article had already been up for two hours, and you halted any statements from being made before you could get an explanation from Ken himself. He quickly tailed after you, nearly stumbling over himself as you stopped at his kitchen. You gripped the marble countertop, closing your eyes momentarily before you turned to face him once more.Â
â[Y/N] I swear, itâs not as bad as you think it is,â Ken says as he tries to add reassurance to his tone, but it doesn't mask the lingering tinge of falsehood.
âOh, really?â You say, your eyebrows raised in disbelief. âBecause in the span of two hours I have had thirty news outlets blowing up my- your management team for a response!â
He opens his mouth to speak, but stops again midway when you continue. âThe headline I showed you was local. I want you to tell me exactly how and why you were on the phone with a reporter talking about your private life at God knows what hour. Now.â
You can see him swallow, licking his lips after as he tries to form the right words. He blinks a bit before pinching the bridge of his nose, tilting his head up as he lets out a deep sigh. When he opens his eyes heâs still greeted with your restive stance. Still he remains slightly hesitant, but he does end up recalling the remnants of his conversation with a reporter he had met at one of the parties he attended. Ken goes on to explain that he had only seeked out advice. His schedule, his personal life- he needed an outlet. You can feel yourself slowly untense, though you continued to listen to make sure all your facts were straight.
When he finishes his retelling, he puts his hands up slightly- as if he were trying to put you at ease. âI swear, thatâs all I said. I thought,â He pauses, his brows furrowing in a way that made you slightly mad at yourself from blowing up at him. âI just thought I could have a normal conversation for once. âGuess I was wrong.â
The warm lights cast a sombre shadow on his features, and from this angle you notice the worn out expression painted on his face. The bags under his eyes are darker than usual, not to mention the fading bruises from his latest altercation with one of players from his opposing team. In front of you was not Ken Sato, this was Kenji; Simply a man who was thrust into a new life without the needed support.Â
âWell, no shit.â You say, finally breaking the silence, you fix your posture against the counter as you tone down the anger in your voice. âJesus Ken, sometimes I wonder how you were able to maintain your career before me.â
At that he lets out a soft laugh, his dull expression slowly fading. âYeah, I do too.â
You give him a puzzled look before you reply. âAre you mocking me?â
âNo! No, I was being serious.â He says, his smile dropping slightly. âI know I havenât been an easy task, hell youâre here on your day off for Christâs sake.âÂ
You hum at his words, narrowing your eyes slightly as you push yourself off the counter with another awkward cough. In all ninety days of working under Ken Sato, never has the man gotten this sentimental with you. You decide not to linger on his words, your attention going back to the problem at hand.Â
âRight, well,â You sigh, whipping your phone out in the process. âI need you to give me the name of that reporter. Iâll get the legal team to draft an NDA breach.âÂ
He furrowed his eyebrows then, looking at you as if youâd said something odd. âI didnât make him sign an NDA though?â
You only give him a smile, a hint of confidence plastered on your lips. âI know. I have my ways, Sato.â
âYouâre a pretty good assistant, then.â He replies, the corners of his lips going up slightly as he keeps his arms crossed.Â
âIâm an excellent assistant.â You correct without looking at him, your fingers tapping away at your phone as you prepare the next steps of your plan.Â
Ken can only chuckle in agreement, tapping his fingers on his forearm as he awaits your next set of instructions. Within the next twenty minutes youâve sent out the necessary details to your team, your legs kicking as you sit on one of his bar stools. Heâs stood across from you, leaning on the countertop looking at you intently as you explain the response plan.Â
âAnd lastly,â You say, sliding out your hand. âGive me your phone.â
His head tilts, the same confused expression on his face. âWhy?â
âJust do it,â Your hand curls, motioning for him to hand his phone over. âNo, I am not installing a monitor.â You add when you see his mouth open to interrogate you.Â
He slides his phone over with a defeated huff, and you open a new contact page on his contacts. âIf you need to talk, do it with someone who wonât leak your shit.â You say, sliding back his phone when all your details are settled.
âI have your number though, donât I?â Ken questions, looking over at the number you inputted.Â
âYou had my work number. Now you have my personal phone.â You point your finger at him before continuing. âDonât abuse it. Iâm still your assistant.â âWasnât gonna, sweetheart.â He says, an amused smirk mixing in with his addled look.Â
You quirk your eyebrow at the nickname. You shake your head, hopping off the stool as you make your way back to the front door. Ken follows behind you, hands in his pockets as he watches you leave. Before you can open the door though, you look back at him one last time.Â
âI mean it, Ken.â You say, making sure it gets through his head. âYou have a problem, tell me. You need a solution, you tell me.â
âI know, I know.â He gives you a tight-lipped smile, nodding towards the door. âGo enjoy the rest of your day off before I start thinking you care about me.â
âI do. Itâs my job to care about you, Ken.â You reply, giving him a look before you open the door. âWhether you like it or not, Iâm your lifeline. At least until you get rid of me, which wonât be happening for a good while.â
âOh yeah?â He jests, his cocky demeanor slowly coming back. ââYou so sure about that?â
âExtremely sure.â Youâre standing outside now, slowly walking backwards. âTwenty minutes ago people thought you had a secret love child and that you were a terrible father. Now youâre back on the face of KFC as baseballâs darling.âÂ
Heâs taken aback. Was he actually booted off of his collaborations? He hastily checked his phone, scrolling through all his platforms. To his surprise, he was greeted with⊠his usual feeds. No sight of the article, no lingering gossip. His ads had doubled, his partnerships boosted on the products he had endorsed. He looked back up to say something, but you had already started your car. You backed out his estate, giving him a smile through the tinted glass of your windshield.Â
He let out a soft laugh, shaking his head. You were right. But who was he kidding?
You always were.

I mean?
Synopsis: On a press tour with your co-star Sebastian Stan, the interviewer asks you a question about another film he did and the answer surprises him.
Pairing: Sebastian Stan x Actress!Y/N
Word Count: IDK I'm too sleep deprived to count.
A/N: Bro I am on a resurgence. Might just fuck around and continue writing more fanfics or whatever.
Itâs another busy day promoting your new movie with Sebastian, The Road Trip. It's a funny romcom about two best friends going on a long trip to see another friend who your character is dating. Interestingly enough, the guy who plays him is Chris Evans. The interviews are currently being done in pairs, and you're with Sebastian.
You've always been candid, speaking your mind without feeling shy. Deep down, you're a bit of a pessimist, accepting things as they are. When you first heard from your agent that you were cast in The Road Trip alongside Sebastian Stan and Chris Evans, you laughed hysterically. The idea that you, an unconventional beauty, were chosen to be on screen with those two seemed surreal. You never really think about dating co-stars, which helps with acting in general. The media is impressed with how chill you are around A-list actors, and even though it hasnât fully sunk in yet, the industry has started promoting you to that list.
The interview has been going on for about 15 minutes when another journalist joins, mostly asking about the experience of working with the cast.
âItâs my first romcom, can you believe it?â you say.
âFirst?!â Sebastian stares in mock disbelief.
âI know, right?!â You feign surprise.
The interviewer continues, âHow does it feel to do something lighter and a bit comedic for once?â
âYou mean, a movie where no one dies?â Sebastian covers his mouth at your response.
âI mean essentially,â the interviewer laughs. âWait, no one dies?!â They nudge you playfully.
âI mean, Iâm not sure, no spoilers,â you say, breaking the fourth wall and looking into the camera. Sebastian cackles. âItâs definitely refreshing. It feels like going to school for some reason. Like I donât want to miss a class just because I might miss something wild happening.â
âWhat?â Sebastian glares. âWhat school did you go to?â
âI mean, aside from the learning stuffâŠâ You grimace. âItâs fun, honestly. Iâd love to do more romcoms. Itâs very down-to-earth and just resonates with you so much. I donât wanna get too cheesy, but Iâm such a hopeless romanticâthis is my jam.â
âSebastian, howâs your experience working with Chris again, this time outside of the Marvel universe?â
âWait, this isnât in the Marvel Universe?!â you butt in. Sebastian again, fakes a loud gasp. You two laugh. This interview feels like itâs going nowhere.
âItâs totally fun, as Y/N mentionedâit really is like going to class. But most of my scenes are with Y/N, so sheâs like the lab partner Iâve never had. Chris was always texting us, checking which location weâre going to be at, making sure weâre scheduled on the same day. Itâs fun when weâre both on set.â
You nod in agreement. âYeah, weâve got a good rhythm going. Itâs like having a little family on set. Plus, Chris is always the one who brings snacks, so thatâs a bonus.â
Sebastian laughs. âOh, absolutely. Chris and his endless supply of trail mix.â
The interviewer chuckles. âSounds like you all have a great dynamic. Was there a favorite scene you both enjoyed filming together?â
You think for a moment. âI really loved the scene where weâre stuck in the car during that rainstorm. It was so chaotic, but we had a blast improvising and just playing off each other.â
Sebastian nods. âYeah, that was a good one. The rain machine was going full blast, and we were just trying not to crack up the entire time.â
The interviewer smiles. âIt sounds like it was a lot of fun. And the chemistry definitely shows on screen. Speaking of different roles, Y/N, Sebastianâs been in the movie Fresh where he plays a sociopathic killer who preys on lonely women pretending to be a genuine guy.â
âI donât like where this is going,â you say, laughing, as Sebastian shakes his head.
ïżœïżœWould you, like Noa, fall prey to Steveâs antics?â This question gets a louder laugh from Sebastian as your face shows pure shock. You hold him back with your hand and say,
âIâve thought about this, to be honest,â you start, looking at Sebastian as he raises his eyebrows, impressed.
âOh, you have?â
You laugh and continue, patting his thigh and looking back at the interviewer. âMe and my friend talked about it a while back. And itâs frightening because I wouldâve probably ended up on a chopping block.â
âNoooo!â Sebastian shouts, âI was rooting for you.â
âNo! But, like, you are incredibly good-looking and charismatic. It would be hard not to give my number at the grocery aisle.â
He tilts his head at your response. âSurely not good enough to get yourself killed?!â
âYouâd be surprised how far Iâd even go,â you say, as the interviewer laughs with you both. âOh god, I need to call my therapist,â you add, ending the topic with the three of you gagging.
âMight just have to talk to mine too, after hearing that.â
You can already feel TikTok saving this clip and turning it into a meme.
You notice, after you call Sebastian good-looking, heâs been eyeing you sideways and biting his lip. As if heâs suddenly gone bashful. You canât help but feel a boost in your ego. Could it be that Stan is shy? You make it a point to tease him for the remainder of the interview.
âWhatâs something funny or unexpected that happened on set?â
âOh, there were so many moments,â you start. âOne time, we were filming this really serious scene, and out of nowhere, a bird flew into the set and landed right on Sebastianâs shoulder.â
Sebastian laughs. âYeah, I had no idea what to do. I just froze, and then Y/N started making bird noises to try and get it to fly away.â
You laugh, nodding. âIt took a good ten minutes to get back into character after that. Everyone was cracking up.â
The interviewer grins. âThat sounds hilarious. Itâs great to hear that you all had such a good time. Speaking of moments on set, were there any funny or awkward moments while filming the more romantic or intimate scenes?â
Sebastian raises an eyebrow, smirking. âOh, plenty. Like the time we were shooting that kiss scene in the rain, and Y/N kept slipping on the wet pavement.â
You roll your eyes playfully. âHey, it was slippery! You were the one who canât stop laughing during takes.â
Sebastian laughs. âTrue, true. But come on, we both know it was because you were so nervous about kissing me.â You notice him biting back.
You gasp in mock offense. âExcuse me, I was not nervous! I was just...distracted by how ridiculously good-looking you are. Itâs hard to concentrate when you have that face right in front of you.â He smiles uncontrollably again, feeling defeated by your nonchalance. He wonders, how are you so good at this?
The interviewer laughs, clearly enjoying the banter. âSo, who do you think had the hardest time keeping a straight face during those scenes?â
You both point at each other simultaneously, then laugh.
Sebastian leans back, shaking his head. âDefinitely Y/N. There was this one scene where we were supposed to be having this deep, romantic conversation, and she just couldnât stop giggling.â
You nudge him playfully. âWell, you werenât helping with all your ad-libs! You kept whispering things like, âIs that your stomach growling or are you just happy to see me?ââ
Sebastian laughs. âHey, I was trying to lighten the mood! And letâs not forget the scene where we had to stare into each otherâs eyes for what felt like an eternity. I swear, Y/N, you blink more than anyone I know.â
You smirk. âOnly because I was trying to avoid getting lost in those baby blues of yours.â At this point, Sebastian was laughing hard, but feeling nervous at your jokes. He secretly wished it were all real, his ears were red and hot. Heâs already thinking of how to approach you after the interview and get himself out of the friend zone which he didnât even thought heâd be in, having found a new interest in you.Â
The interviewer looks between the two of you, amused. âIt sounds like you both had a lot of fun with it. Do you think all that chemistry will translate to the screen?â
Sebastian nods. âOh, definitely. I think our off-screen dynamic really helped make the on-screen relationship feel more genuine. Plus, Y/N here is an amazing actress. She made it easy.â
You smile, feeling a bit bashful. âWell, Sebastianâs not too bad himself. Itâs hard not to enjoy working with someone whoâs so talented and, letâs be honest, ridiculously attractive.âÂ
Here she goes again .Sebastian grins. âRight back at you. But letâs be real, weâre both just incredibly good-looking people trying to make a movie here.â The internet is gonna have a field day.
The interviewer laughs. âSounds like a tough job! Any last funny or romantic moments youâd like to share?â
You think for a moment. âThere was this one scene where we had to dance together. Neither of us are professional dancers, so there were a lot of missteps and toe-stepping. But it ended up being one of the sweetest scenes because it felt so real and unpolished.â
Sebastian nods. âYeah, that was a great scene. It was supposed to be this perfectly choreographed dance, but it turned into us just goofing around and having fun. I think it really captured the essence of our characters' relationship.â
The interviewer smiles, clearly delighted by your stories. âWell, thank you both for sharing these wonderful moments. Itâs been a pleasure talking with you.â
As you and Sebastian leave the interview room, you head towards the lobby where a few other cast members are mingling. The energy is still high from the fun and laughter of the interview. Sebastian nudges you playfully as you walk.
âHey, remember in the interview when you called me incredibly good-looking and charismatic?â he teases, a mischievous glint in his eye.
You roll your eyes, grinning. âOh, come on. Donât let it go to your head, Stan.â
He chuckles. âToo late. Iâm pretty sure Iâm going to bring that up every chance I get now.â
âYou would,â you laugh, shaking your head. â Itâs not like I was lying.â
Sebastian stops walking, turning to face you. âWell, thank you. And for the record, youâre pretty incredible yourself. Both on screen and off.â
You feel a warm blush creeping up your cheeks, putting a palm to your chest as if to continue the gag. âThanks, Seb. That means a lot.â
He smiles, his eyes softening. âNo, really, itâs been really great working with you. I think we make a pretty good team.â
âI think so too,â you agree, feeling a flutter in your stomach, you realize heâs actually serious now. Thereâs a moment of silence as you both just look at each other, the playful teasing from earlier now replaced with something more tender.
Sebastian breaks the silence first. âSo, what do you say we celebrate wrapping up the promotion tour? Maybe dinner tonight?â
You raise an eyebrow, teasingly. âIs this your way of asking me out, Stan?â
He grins, a little sheepishly. âMaybe it is. What do you think?â
You pretend to think about it for a moment, then nod. âI think it sounds like a great idea.â
âPerfect,â he says, looking genuinely pleased. âIâll pick you up at eight?â
âEight it is."

Perhaps it wasn't your smartest idea to pretend to absolutely despise your father's intern in front of your parents and the Avengers but . . . well- how could you possibly resist yourself when it was so much fun sharing sneaky, mischievous smiles with Peter as you both shot teasing glares across the room to maintain your appearance as rivals?
Plus, it was just a little prank to keep your relationship with Peter, as well as the days spent at the compound, more interesting. If anything, you and Peter were single handedly entertaining the entirety of Avengers with your debates and arguments. You were fairly sure they had bets going on about the two of you. It was harmless, really.
And it wasn't like you were going to keep it from them forever! You would tell them . . . eventually. You just- hadn't thought anyone would find out like this. With you and Peter in such a . . . compromising situation?
You almost let out a small groan of exhaustion as you sunk into the unnecessarily large couch your dad had purchased for the lounge, melting into Peter's side as you fiddled with the remote to lower the lights and dim the windows. Pouting at the sliver of light that still managed to peek through the sunroof, you let out the smallest huff as you closed that as well before turning to take a glance at your boyfriend.
He let out a small yawn before shifting with your attention on him, cuddling into you tighter as he murmured, "You sure no one will be back for another 2 hours? 'Cause I swear if we get caught because you wanted to take a nap on the couch, I will never let you live this down."
Snuggling deeper into the blanket you'd draped over the two of you, you couldn't help but let out the smallest breathless laugh as you responded, "That's if they don't kill you first."
"Hey!" Peter quipped, voice growing the tiniest bit slurred as the nap you promised him began to look awfully tempting, "I'll have you know that I think your dad and also everyone else is quite fond of me, alright?"
You couldn't help but let out a snort as you mocked, pretending to push up fake glasses on the bridge of your nose as you raised the pitch of your voice, "I'll have you know-"
The gentle whack you got on your arm made you stop mid-sentence as you giggled, answering your boyfriend more seriously, "Everyone's schedule says they have stuff going on until at least 6:00, unless they were all just to magically-"
"What happened to, "God dad, if I have to see your stupid intern's face one more time, you're going to have to hold me back from stealing your repulsors and pulverizing the shit out of him?""
You're entire body pauses as you feel Peter tense in your arms, the both of you wincing in sync as you slowly, cautiously, turn your head around to face your dad, voice dragging out as you say nervously, "Uhm...so you see-".
Peter's bewilderment is audible as his head snaps to you, eyes furrowed in confused amusement as he hisses, "Why the fuck are you starting to quote Dhar Mann right now?"
"Peter", your dad interrupts, tone much too pleasant for the situation at hand and consequently sending both your spines into automatically locking up straight as you await his next move, fight or flight instincts activated, "You have 3 seconds to run."
"Mr. Stark, we can talk about this-"
"3 . . ."
"Oh shit!", your boyfriend scrambles, legs tangling into themselves and the blanket in his attempts to get free and run as he presses a ragged kiss to your forehead while declaring muffled through his panicked breath, "If I don't make it out of this alive, just know I wanted you to have my babies and be Y/N Parker-Stark."
The confession sends a surprised wheeze to rack through your body as you see him begin to take down the hallway, sparing a glance over his shoulder at you and your dad before maneuvering himself onto the ceiling and into the vents.
Your eyes tearing up from laughter, you try to speak through your immobilizing giggles as you address your dad, "Dad, father dearest, please- come on- spare him-" "2 . . ." "Dad! C'mon- you have to admit . . . from a completely scientific and objective lens with zero romantic emotions taken into account, considering all the teenage boys out there, Peter is definitely one of the better choices", you tried to level, summoning the critically-acclaimed award winning Y/N Stark inside of you and not the moderately concerned girlfriend worried that her boyfriend's cause of death may in fact be the same repulsors Peter had helped your father tweak in the lab earlier today. How unfortunately ironic. Shuffling over, albeit a bit awkwardly, to where your dad stood, you cautiously peered closer at his profile, trying your best to assess exactly how much trouble you were in. You knew deep down, he truly wasn't all that upset, though, maybe a bit grumpy about having been kept out of the loop for this long. In fact, you were positively confident he was quite happy with who you had chosen. Despite all of his teasing and successfully accomplished fatherly duties of bullying the both of you, it was stupidly evident how much he cared for Peter like a son. Not just anyone was allowed to intern for the Tony Stark, after all.
Lost in thought, you couldn't help but yelp slightly and flinch into your father's side as a muffled voice echoed down from the ceiling, cooing, "Aww Y/N, you really mean that?"
Cursing at your boyfriend's surprising lack of self preservation skills taking into consideration his literal job and particular set of talents, you glared upwards. Hoping your disappointment at his lack of distance somehow radiated through the insulated plaster, you deadpanned, "No, I was just playing. I wish I'd gotten with Harley."
"What?!" squeaked Peter, like a little vent rat, his offended gasp echoing in time with your dad's final countdown.
Giggling once again at Peter's frightened scuttling at the realization that he was out of time, you quickly reached to grip at your dad's suit clad bicep before he could make a motion to call at the Iron Man suit, your voice taking on a more serious tone as you asked softly, his opinion and approval still highly valuable to you, "You're ok with me and Peter dating though? Genuinely?"
The twitch of his signature smirk on the corner of his lips and the nodding glint in his eyes sent a happy thrill through your heart, instinctively grinning wide as you squealed and rushed to give him a tight hug, speaking through a stifled smile into his chest, "Ok, you have my consent to go squish my little spider now. Please don't bring him back to me flattened or burnt- I quite like how he is now." Your father's wrinkled nose and vocal sound of disgust at how you'd addressed his intern sent you into another fit of laughter as he spoke, "Ground rules since I know the kid's out of his freaky super-hearing range. One, ew. Never address him like that again, I might vomit. Two, if I see the two of you touch, I am immediately invoking a 50 year social-distancing ban between the two of you. 6 feet and everything. I'll throw in permanent masks if I ever catch you two kissing. Three, . . . no promises."
"In response- One, . . . no promises. Two, you don't want spider grandbabies crawling up the walls? All I'm hearing is that we can't get caught. Three, I'll tell mom", you grinned pulling back, your gaze filled with amusement and the look of humoured adoration you often had reserved specifically for your dad as he let out a little whine in complaint at your threat of telling Pepper.
It would just be a little rough up. You know, the classic "hurt my daughter and you're dead" speech. And Peter was Spider-Man! He'd be fine . . . probably.

Beneath the Midnight Stars - Bang Chan
âI didnât want to date, but now youâre the one thing holding everything together.â

The streets were quiet, the world wrapped in the soft hush of midnight. Streetlights cast dim pools of light on the damp pavement, their glow reflecting off the faint sheen of rain that had fallen earlier. The cool night air bit gently at your cheeks, but Chrisâ hand, warm and solid, was wrapped around yours as you walked side by side.
It wasnât unusual for the two of you to sneak out for a late-night to early-morning walk. They were a rare escape from the chaos of schedules and deadlines â a time when it was just the two of you and the stillness of the world.
But tonight felt different. He was quieter than usual, his brow furrowed in thought. Every so often, his thumb brushed over the back of your hand absentmindedly, like he was grounding himself.
You glanced at him, concerned. âWhatâs going on in that head of yours?â you asked softly.
He didnât answer immediately, his gaze fixed on the empty street ahead. Then, with a deep breath, he stopped walking, tugging you gently so you turned to face him. The streetlamp above cast shadows across his face, making his expression harder to read, but his eyes were full of something raw and unguarded.
"Iâve been thinking," he said, his voice low but steady. "About us."
Your heart skipped a beat. The seriousness in his tone made your mind race. "What about us?" you asked carefully.
He hesitated, looking down at your joined hands before his gaze found yours again. "Before we met⊠I didnât think I could do it. I didnât think I should do it."
The confession caught you off guard. His words lingered in the air, and you resisted the urge to speak, instead gently squeezing his hand, letting him know you were listening.
He let out a soft, almost self-deprecating laugh. "I thought I wouldnât have the time. My job⊠itâs always been so consuming. Even before I met you, I was constantly busy â studio sessions that ran into the early hours, schedules that didnât leave time for a proper meal, let alone a relationship." He paused, his jaw tightening as if struggling to find the right words. "I didnât want to date because I thought Iâd fail. I thought I wouldnât be able to give someone what they deserved."
You blinked, his vulnerability leaving you speechless. "ChrisâŠ"
"But then you came along," he continued, his voice softening. "And somehow, everything shifted. At first, I thought I was being selfish. Letting you in, knowing how chaotic my life is. But now⊠now it feels like youâre the one thing holding everything together."
The honesty in his voice sent a wave of emotion crashing over you. You stepped closer, your free hand coming up to touch his face gently.
He closed his eyes for a moment, leaning into your touch like it was the only thing keeping him upright. "I didnât think Iâd have time for this â for us â but now, I canât imagine my life without you. You make everything feel⊠manageable. Like no matter how crazy it gets, I can breathe when Iâm with you."
When he opened his eyes again, they were teary, the unshed tears glistening like tiny constellations. The soft light of the streetlamp reflected in them, mingling with the faint glow of the stars overhead. It was as if the universe itself had found a home in his gaze, a quiet testament to the depth of what he felt but couldnât fully put into words.
For a moment, you simply stared, your heart catching in your chest. His vulnerability, his honesty â it was overwhelming and beautiful all at once. You reached up, brushing your thumb gently over his cheekbone, where a single tear threatened to fall.
He took a shaky breath, his voice breaking slightly as he whispered, "Thank you⊠for being in my life. For enduring the mess that I am."
Without a word, you stepped forward and wrapped your arms around him. He didnât hesitate, pulling you close, his arms encircling you tightly as if letting go wasnât an option. He buried his face in your shoulder, his breathing unsteady, and you held him as if you could shield him from everything that weighed him down.
"You donât have to carry it all by yourself," you murmured into his shoulder. "Iâm here. Always."
The two of you stood there, bathed in the quiet glow of the streetlamp, the world around you forgotten. In that moment, it didnât matter how busy life got or how many demands were waiting for him. previous chapter
The weather is misty today. Winter has passed quickly over the past three months, and now spring is starting to ease the chill from the air. Yet, you still feel just as tired, if not more so than before.
A break is an imminent necessity, but you will not be getting any until you wrap up your current case. It is a huge one, viral on social media due to its scandalized nature, but most importantly, your client and his opponent are extremely exhausting. It is like managing toddlers, and you are ever so grateful that Jeonghan is also handling this case with you.
It is a particularly sensitive case because your client is the owner of the biggest textile company in the country and also, Chairman Jeonâs good friend, Mr Kim. Last month, he married his daughter off to another huge chaebol family in the country and the issue began with the catering service for the wedding, owned by Mr Kimâs ex business partner and current rival. The guests all got food poisoning right in the middle of the ceremony and the bride had an allergic reaction, throwing Mr Kim into a fit as he claimed it to be an attempted murder to get revenge on him.
Things have been chaotic since then, keeping you on your toes.
Despite being snowed under your work, a particular rumour floating around the Jeon Corporation caught your attention and has been a constant form of distraction ever since you heard it.
Word on the street says that Chairman Jeon is set to announce a new CEO at the annual party of the company taking place this weekend and apparently, one candidate is his own son and the other is a completely new hire. Six months ago you would have laughed at the rumour of the Chairmanâs son, Wonwooâ who you know personally, taking over the company but now, you can say nothing for sure.
It has been nearly three months since you last saw him, partly due to your hectic schedule and also due to the lack of work at Jeon Corporation. Since you have not visited the headquarters recently, you have not been tortured by the sight of that infuriating man but you have to admit that thoughts of Wonwoo have been plaguing your mind. They pop up randomly in your head and you hate your mind for betraying you like that.
You are supposed to move on. And it was not even an actual relationship so why are you still thinking about that stupid, spoiled brat?
âYour drink.â Jeonghan places your coffee on your desk, snapping you out of your reverie. You turn from the window in front of which you were standing and walk back to your desk, taking a sip of your latte with a grateful smile. âI still cannot believe you got my order exactly right on the first try. Thank you.â
It is truly insane. A month ago one day, as your work started piling up, you stopped taking your usual coffee breaks and instead asked Jeonghan to grab you something, forgetting to mention how you like your coffee. Unbelievably, when you tried what he brought for you, you were astounded to the point of silence.
Turns out you and his sister have very similar tastes so he got lucky with that.
âYou are most welcome.â Jeonghan smiles, throwing a cheeky wink at you. âJust knock on my door if you need anything.â
âWill do.â You pause for a moment. Just as he is about to close the door behind him, you call, âJeonghan, youâre attending the party this weekend, right?â
The man steps back into your office. âYes. Actually, I am glad that you brought it up.â
You wait, looking at him expectantly.
âWould you be my date for the evening?âÂ
You smile. âGladly.â Everyone you know already has a plus one so you were dreading showing up alone. As always, Jeonghan has come to the rescue.
âI am honoured.â Jeonghan smiles, his eyes crinkling beautifully. âI was worried Mr. Pi would ask me to be his plus one. I mean it was either going to be you or me.â
You snort a burst of laughter. âI know, right? But he will not get off our backs when he figures out weâre coming together. You know he has that weird obsession of pairing us together like a couple.â
Suddenly, Jeonghanâs face grows serious.âThat isnât a bad idea, you know.â
A soft sigh falls from your lips.
âYou should move on from him. It has been long enough, donât you think?â
âI am over him,â you reply, almost defensively. âListen, if there is one thing I have learned, it is, not to date where you work.â
Jeonghan chuckles softly. âOffice romance is quite fun you know.â
You arch a teasing brow. âSomeone seems experienced.ââ The man smiles secretively before stepping closer to the door, pulling it open with one hand. âJust giving you a heads up, you havenât seen me in a suit yet.â
âI see you in a suit every day, Jeonghan.â You sass.
The man rolls his eyes. âYou know what I mean. A proper three piece suit. A tuxedo. Prepare to have your mind blown.â He shakes his palms for dramatic effect.
You sip your coffee. âMhm, stop pestering me now. I have so much work to do.â
The man flashes a smile before pulling the door closed.
You still have a grin lingering on your lips as you open your files and start skimming through them.
â
On Saturday night, Jeonghan is in front of your house sharply at 7.
You rush to the door as you receive his text, putting on your heels and scrambling to get your purse and phone.Â
You are going to be late but hey, at least you will be fashionably late.Â
Buying this emerald green dress impulsively six months ago was not a bad idea, you now realize, because you love how the dress fits you. With your hair and makeup done, it is almost a completely new you and you may have taken too long admiring yourself in the mirror.
Jeonghanâs jaw goes slack as he watches you step out of your apartment building. His expression makes you laugh and you cannot help but shake your head at his overexaggeration.Â
âWow,â his eyes move up and down as he steps closer to you. âFucking hell. You look absolutely stunning.â
Shyly you avoid his gaze. âThank you. Youâre not too bad yourself.â You gesture towards him, waving your hand up and down his height. The coffee-coloured three piece suit is truly a fabulous compliment to his brushed back blond hair.
The man shakes his head. âYou were the one who should have given me a heads up. I have the prettiest woman in the party as my date.â
This man sure has a way with his words.
âI can see why you are such a successful lawyer, Mr. Yoon.â You saunter past him. âLetâs get going now. Weâre already late.â
âYes madam,â he rushes past you to hold open the car door, making you smile.
â
The venue is crowded when you arrive.
It takes no more than five minutes for your colleagues to spot the two of you and five more minutes later, you are graced by Mr. Piâs holy presence. He gushes over the two of you and when Jeonghan escapes the conversation by saying heâll get drinks for you, Mr. Pi corners you.
âAre you sure you are not dating our dear Mr. Yoon?â
You resist the urge to roll your eyes. âNo, Mr. Pi. Come on now, let it be.â
He hums and then nods thoughtfully, pushing his sunglasses up his nose bridge.
Who knows why he is wearing that indoors and at night.
âI understand,â the man rubs his chin slowly and seriously as if he is pondering the most critical issue of life. âOur chairmanâs handsome son left a lasting impression on you.â
Even before you realise it, a soft, almost wistful sigh escapes your lips. âCan we not talk about him? At least not here?â
Mr. Pi looks at you from above his sunglasses, âThis is the place to talk about him. Tonight people will talk about him.â
âWhat do you mean?â
âYouâll see.â
Wait, what?
âMr. Piââ You reach out for him but he spots an old colleague and walks over to him, ignoring you with a dismissive wave of his hand.
Right then, Jeonghan is back with two flutes of champagne in his hands. You snatch one from him and immediately gulp it down. Then, you narrow your eyes at him. âNice job, jerk. Leaving me alone with him.â
The man cheekily shrugs his shoulder, unable to fight off the knowing smile blooming on his lips. Grinning at you, he sips his champagne.Â
With a shake of your head, you go around the room accompanied by Jeonghan, mingling with old and new faces. The stage is being set up for the upcoming speeches by the top executives of the company. The closing speech will, of course, be Chairman Jeonâs. The grand hall room increasingly grows crowded as you finish two more glasses of champagne while socialising, everyone eager to hear the big announcement.
âI think you have drunk enough for now.â Jeonghan blocks your hand when you reach for the fourth glass as a waiter passes by. You pout, âOh come on. Socialising takes a lot of energy. I cannot talk to these boring people about boring things on a Saturday night while being sober.â
A scoff of amusement comes from him and he opens his mouth to say something but his vision shifts, focusing on something behind you. His expression changes and you turn your head back to see what he is looking at.
Not what. Who.
Wonwoo stands a few feet behind you, looking unfairly stunning. The contrast of his black blazer against his crisp white shirt is stunning and with sharp features and his hair brushed back, he is a scene stealer.
He, however, seems not to attract attention as he remains on the edge of the hall room, near where the lights are dimmer. As your eyes meet his and the raging beat of your heart loudens, he holds your gaze before taking quick steps towards you.
Within a couple of seconds, he is right in front of you.Â
âWe need to talk. Privately.â He says, his posture slightly rigid, and he looks around the room as if making sure no one sees him.
You donât have much time to process his words as he ushers you away by tugging your wrist. You look back at Jeonghan almost helplessly and the man gives you an understanding nod. âIâll be here, donât worry.â
You are quickly rushed out of the grand room and pulled down a hallway at the end of which there are a few private rooms. Wonwoo pulls you inside and shuts the door behind you.
The room is messy and if you are not wrong, it seems to be his dressing room.
In your mind, an equation starts to form as you take everything in.
Finally, your eyes land on Wonwoo after scouring the room and you find him looking at you attentively.
There is a hard lump in your throat that you have to swallow.
âHi.â The man says quietly, almost shyly.
âIt has been a while,â you murmur as a greeting, trying to keep your voice as flat as possible.Â
âWay too long,â he replies, his voice much quieter as he enunciates each word slowly and carefully. You wonder if it is your mind playing tricks on you or if the depth of his eyes just increased tenfold.
Whatever, you cannot let yourself get caught up in this again. The tension in the air is thickening by the second.
âWhy did you bring me here?â You avoid his eyes, your gaze settling on the skin peeking from underneath his shirt as the two buttons are undone.
âRight.â Wonwoo blinks as if breaking out of a trance. âI wanted to tell you something. I meanâŠit will be announced later but I thought you out of all people should hear it from me first.â
The way he speaks, his eyes skirting around, his hands fidgety tells you what the news is. You voice it out for him. âYou are taking over the company?â
You see his pupils widen. After a moment's pause, he says. âYes.â
Hm. He is dressed too fancy to attend as a mere employee anyway.
You are proud of him for sure. He has grown as a person since you last saw him. But at the same time, there is dread in the pit of your stomach. With him now taking over the company, there is no escaping him. You will be seeing him, whether you like it or not.Â
âCongratulations.â You hum. âI appreciate you informing me separately but it wasnât necessary. We donât have any personal contact. I am just another employee, JeonâŠChairman Wonwoo.â
Wonwoo looks at you with surprise and you wonder if it is your icy demeanour that makes him frown.
âStillâŠI have to thank you. You had a huge part to play in getting me here.â
Oh really?
For a brief moment, your mind flashes back to earlier this year when you were seeing each other. The late night talks about his future with the company. You find yourself wondering how he managed to earn his fatherâs trust so quickly because you remember him telling you his father would never let him take over. Due to his unrefined behaviors, of course. But it seems that he has grown out of them which is good for him.
âI better get going. Jeonghan is probably waiting for me.â You step towards the door but Wonwoo grabs your upper arm, pulling you back with a gentle tug.
âDo you not miss me? Not one bit?â His voice is so thick with emotion that it feels foreign to you. Like his, your throat closes up, and you hate how a few words from him make tears burn in the back of your eyes.
âIt doesnât matter. Just letââ
âIt does! There is something else I have to tell you.â
âI donât care!â You yell, jerking yourself free from his hold. âYou can not act all familiar after so long. We are not like that anymore! Why canât you understand?â
In the semi darkness of the room, you see his eyes glimmer.Â
The very next moment he is kissing you.
And you are kissing him back.Â
Just for tonight, you tell yourself as your resolve slips. You are going to give in just tonight. Just one last time. You truly donât have it in you to turn away from him now, from his warmth, touch, and embrace when this is what you have been longing for the past few months.
Maneuvering your body with his, he pins you against the wall, trapping you with ease. And tonight, there is nowhere you want to escape to.
"I missed you." He whispers like a mantra, devouring your mouth like a starved man. He trails kisses down your jaw as his hands remove your straps from your shoulders, revealing the entire expanse of your shoulder and neck for him to play with. In between heated kisses, his hands explore your breasts, playing with your soft mounds over the fabric of your dress.Â
No words are exchanged between the two of you.Â
Your hands move over his chest, feeling the firm muscles under your fingertips before pushing his blazer off his shoulders. The lines are hazy just like your mind as you cannot decipher who pulls whom closer. In the dense cloud of lust, you can only fathom the opening of the buttons of his shirt and his warm body pressing next to yours.Â
âI need you,â Wonwoo murmurs against your lips. One of his hands moves expertly down your thigh before he grips the back of your knee and places it around his waist. You pull him even closer, smashing your lips against his, hot and heavy as your tongue meets his.
Briefly, you hear the groan of his zipper being undone. You lift your dress, standing at an angle that helps him comfortably slide between your legs, his unrelenting grip on the back of your thigh.
"Put your hands over my shoulders and hold tight. " His whisper is a command as he positions himself at your entrance, pushing your panties to a side.
And before you can blink, he's inside you. The stretch of the intrusion makes you jolt and let out a loud, breathy groan of pleasure that makes you squeeze his shoulders and bite your lip.Â
This. This is exactly what you wanted. Exactly what you needed.
You feel every delicious inch of him, moving in and out of you, familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. making your body shake from the onslaught of pleasure. Your hold on his shoulders tightens as little squeaks escape from your lips and your legs wrap themselves around his body tighter when you start to taste your release.
"Gosh, you're so tight. I missed you.â He grunts with each thrust. âLetting me fuck you against a wall, in my dressing room. Tell me, did you miss this? Did you miss me like I missed you?" Wonwoo demands, a hand reaching up to squeeze your cheeks, forcing you to look into his eyes.
âLook at me and tell me you did not miss me,â he pants, a snarl etched in his tone as he removes his hand from your face and grips the back of your throat, pulling your face closer to his.
"W-Wonwoo," you try to moan. Wonwoo keeps watching you with a darkened gaze, his pace matching the fierceness in his gaze as he continues to drill into you. He shakes after giving you a particular hard thrust, that makes your toes curl and your eyes roll back. âYou are still that dirty girl. You're still my filthy slut."
You hate how much you missed his filthy mouth.Â
"P-please," you pant, breathless trying to grind your clit against his pelvis. One touch on your clit and you're gonna come. "Please, let me come, Wonwoo."
The man smiles, and it almost appears cruel and cocky as he grabs your wrists in one hand and pins them hard on the wall. He increases his pace, thrusting in and out of you so hard that your back starts aching. However, you are way beyond complaining because the next moment his release is filling you up, triggering yours. Your cry is loud and unceremonious as you cling to him and ride out your high, feeling your release in the deepest fibres of your being
A short moment later, Wonwooâs grip on you loosens. With a slightly hazy mind, you watch you grab some tissues, cleaning up you and him. With the haze of lust disappearing gradually, you find your head clearing up. The silence in the air now feels suffocating and you find yourself playing a guessing game.
Why is he so quiet? What is he thinking?
As Wonwoo buttons up his shirt and fixes his jacket, his gaze meets yours and you see his eyes fall on your lips. Pressing your fingertips around your lips, you realise your lipstick is smudged. Quietly, he hands you a tissue paper and you walk to the mirror, using it to dab the lipstick stain around your lips.
In the mirror, you watch Wonwoo watching you. All throughout, another strange, suffocating silence persists. As you toss the tissue in the bin, the silence is finally broken by his quiet, somber voice, âMy father arranged a marriage for me.â
Your body grows ice cold.
For one long, horrible moment, you stop breathing, thinking, praying that you heard wrong.
âWhat are youâŠwhatâ what do you mean?â
âHe wants me to marry a chaebol heiressâ Yuna Lee, sometime next year.â
Suddenly, you are scrambling to get your thoughts in order. It is always like this with him. One moment it is quiet and the next you are hit by a full speed freight train.Â
âYou should not have done that. We should not have done that. Why didnât you tell me that before?âÂ
âWell, I triedââ
Suddenly, your blood is boiling and you are seeing red.
âWhat was this, a goodbye fuck?â You hiss, fixing the straps of your dress.
âWhat?â Wonwoo scoffs. âNo! I have been thinking about you for months! Trying to figure out how to approach youâ
âWith all that thinking you sure did one good job!â You find yourself turning towards the door.Â
âOh come on! IâŠI missed you. You drive me crazy. You know damn well my brain stops working when you are near me.â
âNo, Wonwoo. I donât.â You grit.Â
The passion, the emotion that you have been holding back all these months comes out in tidal waves. âIn case you donât remember, during our relationship, you were always so nonchalant, so detached. You did not give a shit about me. Not really because I was a fuck buddy to you. A girl getting paid to get your ass out of trouble every time and also someone available for a quick bang!â
Wonwooâs demeanour shifts. You visibly see him get defensive. âWell, it's not like you professed your love to me! You did not ever hint that you were in love with me.â
Your mouth falls open at the absurdity of his words.
âYou⊠you did not treat me with the minimum respect. You would disappear for weeks, Wonwoo, completely out of the radar only to show up when you needed my help.â You pause. âNever mind, it is pointless to argue with you.â You turn, reaching for the handle of the door.
Wonwoo stops you by roughly tugging on your arm. His grip is iron solid. âYou donât get to do that. You donât get to leave without hearing my piece!â
You place a hand on his and use it to remove his fingers from your skin. âThe time for speaking was months ago. Not now in a dressing room, minutes before you are about to be announced the new CEO.â
âI finally have my life together!â
âDo you?â You take a step closer to him with a challenge. âDo you really?â
Wonwoo remains silent, his eyes sparkling with thundering storms and clouds of emotions.
You continue. âI was your comfort zone. You used me when you needed me and then forgot about me when you were not in the mood. It would not have mattered if I professed undying love for you. You did not love me, not in the right way. You did not and you donât right now. This is you trying to find comfort in something familiarâŠme.â
A twisted, unironical smile appears on his lips. âOh, so you are what now, a therapist?â
You remain silent, watching him without blinking.
The man shakes his head, scoffing. âIf you only knew how I truly feltâŠâ His fingers card through his hair as he takes a step back. âYou have no idea how I feel. In fact, right now, I donât think you even know how you feel!â
Your lips part, ready to interject, but he goes on. âYou are right. This was a mistake. I should not have told you about my dadâs plans of getting me married. No, because you would have liked to just straight up receive my wedding invite, huh? I should have just married her and showed up with her one day and introduced you as a special friend, no? Would you have liked that? Would that be the right thing to do?â
Each syllable coming out of his mouth burns like acid. Tears blur your vision but you force yourself not to cry in front of him.
âI fucking hate you.â You breathe, uttering each world slowly. âI hope you have a miserable life with her, you asshole. Never show me your face again.â Gathering your dress with one hand, you march towards the door, not stopping when he calls out your name or tries to hold onto you.
He can go to hell.
Your steps are quick as you pick up pace, running down the long hallway of the private rooms and then down a common corridor before you come to the large foyer in front of the elevator. With your skirt fisted in your hands, you dash for it but a voice makes you pause.
You turn back to find Jeonghan calling your name and jogging after you. As he comes to a stop in front of you, his eyes go up and down the length of your body, taking notice of your dishevelled appearance.Â
âAre you okay?â His fingers gently touch your arm but you donât let him pull you closer.
You need to leave.
âI need to go home.â You whisper, voice wobbly.
âWhy are you running?â He steps closer to you, a desperation in his voice that matches the look in your eyes. âThat bastard keeps hurting you and you keep running from him. Go and fucking⊠I donât knowâ cause a scene! Drag him on stage and smack him once or twice.â
You are not in the mood for this.
âStop it, Jeonghan,â you grunt turning away but the man steps in front of you.
âNo! I wonât stop when I see you repeatedly suffering because of him.â
If you were not so overcome with emotions, you would roll your eyes.
âJust let me go.â You hiss, stepping past the man blocking your way. As you cross him, however, a harsh grip on your wrist forces you to stop.Â
âGo out with me,â Jeonghan says in the calmest manner, the hold of his fingers on your wrist steadfast like his voice.
You almost make a move to yank yourself free but the diction of those words stops you in your tracks as if a thunderbolt has just struck you. You slowly turn your head back to meet Jeonghanâs eyes, wondering if he really said that. The strength you had moments ago to break your hand free suddenly dissipates as you meet his piercing gaze.
Along with your heartbeat, time stops.
You forget to blink, feeling the subtle tightening of his grip on you. As the silence hangs longer in the air and the depth of his words settles into the empty grand hall and every crevice of your tattered heart, you find yourself motionless, thoughtless, speechless.
âDate me. You know Iâll treat you better.â He states, again.
You feel like you are hyperventilating. A shaky breath comes from your lips and after that, each breath is a struggle.Â
Suddenly, everything is too much.
Too much light in this hall. Too much noise in the background.
Too much sincerity in his words.
For a moment, you genuinely find yourself considering.
And as your gaze strays from your colleague for the smallest moment, you notice Wonwoo standing a few meters behind him.Â
The look in his eyes is inexplicable but you feel every emotion radiating off him and you immediately know he heard everything. He doesnât move, however. As the silence persists, his gaze darkens, watching you like a hawk, almost as if he is waiting to hear your verdict.
At the same time, the longer you look, his gaze appears vulnerable, betrayed.
And you feelâŠguilty.
