ooh!! well, i havent listened to a lot of TOP in a while, so i don't have many recommendations there unfortunately :'] but for other slow, soft songs, let's see... i'll put them under a cut with all my explanations, but ☀️ "See The Day" by The Altogether (Volition song!), 🍃 "Rounds" by The Oh Hellos (Shivers song!), 🦋 "Would You Be So Kind" by dodie (general skills song, Suggestion primarily!) are the best contenders!

Pretty sure you've seen it already, but from a different ask, i recommend "Almost (Sweet Music)" by Hozier! (and "Like Real People Do" if you want to cry and yearn with me, though my DE ideas for it are very loose hkjhg) these are slow ones i like hkjhg <3

🦋 "Would You Be So Kind?" by dodie BUT SPECIFICALLY THIS VERSION, because i love everyone's crowded but earnest vibes. this one is led by Suggestion ("oooh you wanna fall in love with us so bad right? right???") and makes me grin, you GOTTA imagine all of the skills squished together in the front of Harry's brain all trying different tactics to get Kim to fall in love with them, (rhetoric: "I HAVE A QUESTION..." ency: "let's write a story! be in my book!") at 2:35, after all the skills singing together loudly, it's just Harry himself singing to Kim, with all the skills slowly backing him up. the ending is all of them fucking ECSTATIC celebrating when harry finally kisses kim hkjhg jesus this'd be so cute hold on i have to go plan this out i have so many thoughts hkjdh

"Seven" by Sleeping at Last would be a sweet Reaction Speed song (ironic that im adding react speed to a list of soft, slow songs though hkjgh) "I'm ready for whatever comes next!" <3 Reaction Speed is a fast, restless little fella who can't sit still for long, always loves moving, acting, doing. he's like the personification of a verb hkjhg <3 i would also accept an interpretation for echem <3

"Cosmos" by Jawbreaker Reunion is a song that The Furies recently suggested to me as a jean song and it's so right for that, very soft and i like it very much :'] (you should also ask The Furies if you want to, it's much more musically inclined than me, i feel hkjhg <3)

     FIGHTS  WERE  EXTREMELY  common  in  South  Park ,  no  real  getting  around  them .    You  just  had  to  accept  them  as  part  of  life  around  here ,  the  language  that  the  residents  of  the  town  most  consistently  understood .    Stan  wasn’t  saying  anything  judgmental  about  that  because  he  had  been  caught  in  a  number  of  physical  conflicts  himself ,  including  with  Kyle ,  who  was  rapidly  bruising  on  his  left  cheekbone  and  bleeding  from  a  couple  scratches  on  his  neck .

     “ You  okay ,  dude ? ”  Stan  asked  hesitantly  because  he  could  feel  the  pissed  off  energy  still  rolling  off  of  Kyle  in  waves .    He  wasn’t  really  scared  that  Kyle  would  take  anything  out  on  him  because  every  time  the  two  of  them  had  fought ,  it  had  been  about  personal  beef  between  them ,  something  either  Kyle  or  Stan  had  done  to  the  other  one .    It  was  unlike  Kyle  to  take  out  issues  with  someone  else  on  Stan ,  but  it  didn’t  hurt  to  be  cautious  about  making  his  bad  mood  worse .

     Stan  dropped  his  lit  cigarette  on  the  ground  and  crushed  it  out  with  the  heel  of  his  shiny  black  boot  to  free  up  both  his  hands ,  then  reached  for  Kyle’s  to  inspect  the  purpling  knuckles .    “ Who’d  you  get  into  it  with  this  time ?    I  know  it  wasn’t  Cartman . ”    Cartman  rarely  fought  back  hard  and  tended  to  just  start  wailing  when  you  hit  him .

it’s february 2nd.

that’s the first thought he has.

it’s february 2nd, which marks -

he reaches for his phone, opens their messages, his thumb hovering the voice record button. for the past month and a half, from the early beginnings of a warmer winter to today, it’s been routine: he’d wake, roll over, and send her a drowsy good morning note. then he’d be on his feet, he’d freshen up, he’d fix his hair with a small, stupid smile on his face because he’s seeing her soon! they have a date!

but things are a little different this morning.

he presses record and - there’s hesitation. there’s a second of silence that’s unlike him, because he always has something to say. he always knows exactly what to say. it’s just two words. it shouldn’t be that hard. he stops the recording, deletes it, and tries again. morning, comes the usual greeting in his usual drawl. think it might snow when we’re out, so dress warm ~ with that said and sent, he sets his phone off to the side. it takes him a few minutes to pull himself out of bed and few minutes more to get ready. and as he stands there, staring into the mirror, he wonders if he should even mess with his hair. he wonders if it’s even worth it, because -

because he’s seeing her soon for the last time.

because they have a date.

( he wears the coat he wore that day. he uses the same cologne. and it takes him back to december 22nd. you won’t be allowed to for a while, so how ‘bout it? nothing serious, just for fun. )

( we can set a date. february 2nd, after seollal. two weeks before you take the stage. you can use that as an excuse to let me down gently. i’m kidding, i’m kidding ~ i don’t fall that easily. )

- and now, they’re back at the cozy, quaint little cafe where they held that conversation. it’s quiet. a bit cold. there’s no one around except for -

“sorry, i’m late, i -” didn’t want to come. “- missed the bus.” he tilts his head at the coffee menu. “have you ordered?”

A dark red pool creeps across the linoleum floor, spreading out from the back of the old man’s skull, his pale eyes rolled back, his mouth still hanging open with surprise.  And all Tweek can do for several moments is stare, horrified, down at him while the blood inches around fallen bags of candy, toward the toes of his sneakers.  It doesn’t feel real; it doesn’t feel like an old man toppled backward and hit his head against the metal candy rack just right to spill his brains all over the shining gas station floor.  It’s not real, he tells himself, it’s just a bad dream, and he can wake up if he shuts his eyes tight.

But when he opens them again, he is still standing over a corpse in the gas station’s candy aisle.  Once the hopelessness of his situation sinks in, he screams.  “Oh, Jesus!  Oh, Jesus God!”  He has no idea what to do now—he can’t stay here, and he can’t run, and that indecision has him rooted in place.

The one gas station employee on duty at this hour comes hobbling down the aisle, supported by a crutch, drawn to the noise, all that clattering and screaming.  Tweek backs away from him, shaking his head, his green eyes wild and tearful.  “I’m sorry!” he chokes out.  “I’m sorry—it was an accident!”  That doesn’t mean a lot to police officers, and people get locked up for accidental deaths all the time.

“I didn’t think he’d die.”  Indeed, Tweek didn’t think he had the strength to push anyone over like that.  He was just trying to put some distance between himself and the old guy, who was a real bona fide freak, which is saying a lot, considering some of the people Tweek knows.

“I was just scared!”  Now, the tears are sliding thickly down his cheeks, and he’s struggling to get words out between his ragged breaths.  “He was—getting in my face and—saying weird stuff to me and—he scared me and—I didn’t mean to, I just—I wanted him to get away from me.  He was f-freaking me out!”  His neck spasms, pulling his head all the way to the right and dragging a sharp cry from his throat.

“Don’t tell—I’ll do anything!  I’ll scrub him up, I’ll scrub this whole place.”  He has practice cleaning his parents’ shop, so he knows he can do it.  “Just don’t call the cops.  I can’t go to prison.  I won’t survive!”  He clutches the front of his shirt in his fists and pulls on it.  “What if they try me as an adult, and I go to adult prison?!  I can’t—I can’t—“
