scrolling through the gg tag and saw someone say "chuck didn't need pacts with eva or raina and it's ok to pull that with blair bc she's dumb enough to wait and wait and wait and wait" and absolutely no shade to op at all but it's shown to be blair's idea not chuck's (much like their games in early s3). in 6x01 chuck says that "if [he'd] known it would be this difficult going [their] separate ways [he] would never have agreed" and blair replies that they had to come to some kind of agreement or they never would have left the hotel room. chuck didn't force blair into their pact, it's implied to be her idea and also a mutual agreement between the two of them. the whole point of the pact is that they need to find success on their own (as blair says in s4 and chuck says in s5) so that there can't be anything in-between them again, so to reduce it down to chuck messing blair around when a) it was a mutual arrangement they both needed to show they've matured and can have a healthy long-term relationship and b) blair spent basically all of s5 messing chuck around feels like finding another non-existent reason to hate on chuck that was literally disproved in the show 😭😭
