Post-Daddy Frank managed to set up a small memorial to Barry by a tree round the back of the house, somewhere Sherman wouldn't find it. He got a photo from one of the news street interviews he was on and put down some flowers, so he could finally 'stop and smell them', just like he wanted to.

I love man in a hurry’s cameo in hatchet town because it implies that 1) he carries a gun, 2) he has the gun because he’s in a hurry, 3) this is common knowledge, therefore 4) there’s a good chance he’s used it before, and 5) no one has done anything about this

I'm thinking so bad about Frank and Barry in the dungeon. They were down there for weeks, and all they had was each other. They both saw sides of each other that nobody else had seen before. Frank seeing Barry finally slow down and actually live in the moment, and Barry seeing Frank finally open up and be kind to somebody. They saw the best in each other and nobody else was down there to see it. Frank gave Barry all his rations, he tried to nurse his wounds. When Barry was on the edge of dying, it was Frank being by his side that gave him the strength to keep going for just a few more days. They had time to tell their life stories. Frank talking about his struggles with the store, his dog, his love for the 80's and niche toy collecting. Barry talking about all his past relationships, the things he'd never stopped to think about amongst all his hurrying. Hobbies, food they liked, favourite places to go. Anything to try and distract themselves from the situation. They gave each other hope, the motivation to stay awake when the only option seemed to be going to sleep and never opening their eyes again. When Barry died, Frank didn't give up on him. He tried to bring him along, so he could turn to him and say they made it out in the end, that all their waiting and hoping wasn't for nothing. And leaving him behind was one of the hardest things Frank ever had to do.
