Drowning was a form of execution used in Scotland until the 18th century, and some cultures were concerned about shedding royal blood. Edward may have opted for this method to prevent spilling blood, or George might have chosen it as a recognised method, with the selection of malmsey mocking Edward’s reputation for heavy drinking.

A portrait believed to be of Margaret Pole, Countess of Salisbury, George’s daughter, intriguingly shows the lady wearing a barrel charm on a bracelet. Was this in remembrance of her father?

I love how you can use the environment in baldur’s gate.

for instance, I got my ass completely handed to me in a battle, so on my second attempt I piled barrels of gunpowder & wine near where the enemies would run out, and had one of my guys posed with a fire spell to ignite them. and THIS TIME, I triggered a massive explosion on my first turn of combat, instantly killing my entire party.

I love that identity reveals between Jim Gordon and Bruce in fic almost always go the same way. Bruce goes "How did you know? Was it my acting?" and nine times out of ten Jim says something along the lines of "No, your acting was phenomenal. You gave yourself away by caring too much, Mr. Wayne."

Because the billionaire playboy cover was perfect and damn near airtight until one Bruce Wayne leapt in front of someone else during a holdup at a gala and "accidentally" got shot.
