Mini-review:

Well, this drama was entertaining, but nothing more. It was especially funny at the beginning, thanks to that sort of 'rivalry' between the leads. However, once they solved that and started moving into purely romantic territory, the story began to lose steam quickly. Tbh, I kept watching to the very end because of the sizzling chemistry between Jeon Jong Seo and Moon Sang Min. And I guess I wanted to see how in the world they were gonna clear up the mess created by the characters, which was pretty fascinating. I feel like the show would have been better if the director had put more thought into its style, cause the whole thing looked pretty cheap and bland. But still, Wedding Impossible is fun enough, and I can see fans of classic romcoms enjoying it a lot.

Synopsis

Opinion

This is a very good series, I binge watched it in a few days. I loved the queen! How strong, resourceful, and independent she was. I loved all the characters, especially the queen and prince Seongnam. I also loved how the king was very supportive of her. The series had a lot of different topics, from motherhood to sexuality. It's a drama series. There are no gore or sex scenes. I recommend this series to anyone who likes history dramas.

This show is framed as a big corporate drama, but it's really about the relationships between three amazing women. I liked pretty much all of it. I particularly liked how the history between these women is given more weight than the romances.

My only complaint is that there aren't enough shows like this out there.

The lens the show uses for these characters is very matter-of-fact. If this were a Hollywood production, I'd have expected some kind of girl-boss power fantasy. The show just puts the women in charge, flaws and all, and trusts the writing and acting to carry the audience through. It does all of this remarkably well.

I had trouble with the first episode, as it kind of throws a curveball and puts you into the corporate / political deep end, but once the show gets going in episode two, it doesn't stop.

The Performances

Im Soo-jung as Bae Ta-mi (Tammy). Soo-jung does a great job as (pretty much) the main character and the center of the drama. I didn't always care about the corporate nonsense being thrown around by the script, but I never felt bored watching Bae Ta-mi. You get to see the whole range from charming and feisty, to exhausted, sad, needy/anxious, and even happy. Really fun to watch.

Lee Da-hee as Cha Hyeon (Scarlet). This was one of the standout performances. Cha Hyeon was the most active of the characters and all of the best moments came from watching her interactions with the other characters. Lee Da-hee was having fun with this role, and that showed through the entire performance.

Jeon Hye-jin as Song Ga-kyeong. The most subdued of the three leads. The writers chose to make this character a bit of an enigma. Jeon Hye-jin had a tough job as she had to have good chemistry with the other leads, while having the least amount of good character interaction, and she had to still seem believable. It took almost the entire series for me to really understand the character, but Jeon Hye-jin had enough charisma to keep me interested throughout.

Ye Soo-jung as Jang Hee-eun. The big villain of the series and one of the more interesting performances. Ye Soo-jung did a great job playing a harmless old lady (when it helped her get what she wanted) while switching on a dime to a menacing abusive terror. Her motives were relatively simple, but the character never felt like a cardboard cutout. Really interesting to watch and an amazing change from her role in Do You Like Brahms.

Everyone else! This was a true ensemble show and all of the characters brought something fun to the show, even that annoying two-timing ex (Pyo Joon-soo). Standouts: Kwon Hae-hyo as CEO "Brian", Jang Ki-yong as Park Morgan, Lee Jae-wook as Seol Ji-hwan (especially funny in the fake drama), and Oh Ah-yeon as "Ellie".

TL; DR:

Smartly written with very good performances from the leads. It's refreshing to see a show that has women in charge without pandering or falling into harmful stereotypes. The portrayal of the relationships between these three women blew me away.

Dizide üçüncü kişilerin olmaması çok güzeldi. Her kadın kendi bambaşka ilişkini bize anlattı. Klişe aşk sahneleri yoktu. Kadın karakterlerin bir şekilde bir araya gelişinden ortaya çıkan dostlukları izlemeye değerdi. Ta-Mi ve Mo-Gun arasındaki konuşulup konuşulup çözüme ulaşmayan mevzuları izlemek benim içimi şişirdi. Öte yandan hükümet mevzusu, şirket yolsuzlukları gibi derin mevzulara girdikleri uzun sahnelerde diziden soğuttu bir miktar. Herkesin sevebileceği bir dizi değildi genel olarak farklı bir diziydi.

Sonuç olarak; şiddetle tavsiye ettiğim bir dizi değil. Durağan, olağan bir hikaye izlemeyi seviyorsanız size hitap edebilir. Bu dizinin benim dağarcığıma kattığı en güzel şey ise Seol Ji-Hwan oldu. Güzelliği olsun, duruşu olsun, oyunculuğu olsun her şeyine bayıldım.

GRADUATION MISSION :: KURO DHALIA

Domingo, 15 de Janeiro de 2023, 08:00hs ― Os recrutas de Wakamono se preparam para sua missão de graduação. 

Foi na sexta-feira, dia 13 de Janeiro de 2023, as 19:00hs que todos receberam emails, recrutas e instrutores, informando sobre a missão de graduação: colher informações sobre alunas, professores e staffs da KURO DHALIA, antiga escola de espionagem para meninas do japão, e uma das escolas que fundou Wakamono. Sabe-se que a agente duplo que vazou o programa secreto Code Youth, era uma Dhalia, mas até hoje não se sabe exatamente quem era, e cabe aos atuais agentes de Wakamono, desvendar esse enigma antes do aniversário de 13 anos da academia.

OPERAÇÃO 

1º PASSO :: Invadir o antigo campus da Kuro Dhalia, que apesar de abandonado é repleto de armadilhas.

2º PASSO :: Coletar informações da central de operação da antiga escola, identificar os perfis e selecionar os suspeitos.

3º PASSO :: Investigar os suspeitos e tudo ligado a eles.

4º PASSO :: Enviar um relatório completo aos superiores do programa Code Youth.

ESQUADRÕES

MAIN SQUAD :: Jayden “Jay” Lee, Kwon Yeonggi, Lee “Levy” Minhee, Bae Jinah, Ju Taeyang, Kim Naomi, Maxine Yi, Jeong Daesung, Heo “Gael” Gaeul e Kamoon Horvejkul, terão a tarefa de invadir o campus, roubar os arquivos físicos (papelada), seguir os suspeitos e passar todas as informações que conseguirem para a central de comando. Serão supervisionados pelos instrutores Seo Hajun e Sophie Song.

SUPORT SQUAD :: Sun Prayut Aromdee, Kwon HyeSuk, Heléne Yoon,  Liu Yanghao, Kang Yuri, Kwang Nicoline, Subin “Benjamin” Park, Emma Wang, Han Soomi, Nam Taerim, Mai Thu Lụa, Choi Yui, Cha Hyeshin, Wei Yuan, Bang Hyunbin e Oliver Yoon, terão a tarefa de apoiar e auxiliar na invasão do campus, ficando na central de comando e providenciando toda e qualquer ajuda remota, invadir os antigos sistemas e roubas todos seus dados, identificar e catalogar os suspeitos, enviando ao esquadrão em campo. Serão supervisionados pelos instrutores Kang Daeshik, Ahn “Thomas” Yong, Li Xue, Kang Yohan, Kim Daejung, Bae Jiho, Ogawa Hoshi, Blossom Yang, Jeong Haechan e Hwang Haseul.

Finalmente nossa primeira missão! Esperamos que estejam tão animados quanto nós estamos, então vamos aos tópicos importantes em OOC pra ajudar todo mundo a completar o objetivo.

O prazo de entrega do relatório em OOC é até 27/01.

Nessa task queremos que vocês sejam CRIATIVOS. Vocês podem colocar em prática todas as ideias sobre missões que já viram em filmes, desenhos, livros, o que quer que seja. A Kuro Dhalia é cercada de mistérios tal qual a história em que foi inspirada, ou seja, vocês podem fazer com que os personagens descubram coisas que podem ou não ser reais de acordo com o plot. Podem criar NPCs, podem criar suspeitos, podem realmente desenvolver o lado mais criativo de vocês. Descreverem passo a passo de como foi a missão durante a semana, o que deu certo e o que deu errado. Os agentes estão indo para a Kuro Dhalia para pegar informações a respeito de uma traidora, é a única coisa que todos sabem. 

Os personagens foram listados de acordo com seus níveis, não foi um sorteio, então se atentem a isso. Cada personagem tem uma linha de treino de acordo com seu curso, então se mantenham nessa linearidade para não fugir do que ele é apto para fazer ou não. Estaremos monitorando isso também. 

Como irão todos, ninguém ficou em Wakamono pois todos precisam passar por essa missão, logo, nada de preguicinha do personagem sozinho da academia. Em ooc pode até não participar, mas o personagem esteve presente.

Desentendimentos em IC são permitidos e até incentivados, afinal entre inexperientes e experientes é normal acontecer algum tipo de frustração não programada, mas lembrem-se sempre de COMUNICAR e COMBINAR antes. Não é permitido desentendimentos em IC não combinados previamente. 

A equipe de suporte é de suma importância para a equipe de campo. São eles quem irão auxiliar em tempo real os agentes em ação e precisam estar sempre ligados para o que está acontecendo e até mesmo, se possível, prever o que acontecerá em prol da segurança da outra equipe. As duas equipes precisam estar bem alinhadas para uma maior chance da missão ser bem sucedida. Desta forma vocês podem combinar como seria essa dinâmica de uma forma que fica fácil para todo mundo.
