How the whole gang actually see Ponyboy:

Dally never ever speaks like this out in the open to anyone and here he is, potentially on the verge of tears speeding down the road. There’s a show of just how much Dally and Johnny mean to each other in slightly different ways that neither of them fully expressed.

“I’d dally had said yes, Johnny would have gone back to the church without hesitation.”

And! How Pony is starting to break down his own biases and realize things aren’t how he first observes them or people aren’t all surface level (rough all over) with Dally. How he talks a big game but pony comes to realize jail and New York isn’t all “glory days” for him or - he’s cold and mean but it’s self projection and an act. He said just a bit earlier that when Dally isn’t he can make himself cold etc.

And the one thing to shatter that hardened exterior instantly is Johnny Cade.

I think at his core, he seeks love and belonging, but also power, and what better way to ensure you're tied to him forever? He's the king and giving you a baby is one way to ensure having you by his side as the Queen.

Juice even more so than Jax just wants somewhere to belong. He felt like the club was that one thing that would be around forever and he will always belong there, but it doesn't hurt to have one more avenue where he will be able to have another family, but this time its his own. Especially in the later seasons where he could already feel the club slipping away.

I feel like this is already like mildly canon. Sure he wasn't maybe necessarily trying to trap Lyla, but I mean 👀 It was obvious that she didn't want a baby and he did and her taking BC was a blindside in his eyes. So I feel like he'd actually be the main one.

I'm half and half on this one. Mostly I feel like at his age he couldn't be bothered with bringing in a baby, especially with how things worked out with Kerrianne. Everything is just too dangerous and the less people you have that can be used against you the better. But at the same time, there's a liiiiiiittle sliver of me that feels like maybe even because of that reason he would. A second chance, now that he's older and much more wise. Another opportunity to do it right. Leave a legacy. And have an immediate family here that he can create.

I'm so in denial over Johnny and Dally's deaths that I full on hc (this isn't a joke, I'm being 100% serious) that Johnny managed to escape the church just before it collapsed bc Dallas pulled him out in time. The only serious injury Johnny got was a broken arm and he developed asthma due to smoke inhalation. Dally only suffered a few small burns on his arm and they didn't leave any scars after they healed.

Johnny and Ponyboy are THE GANG'S BABIES they must have been worried sick while they were gone. Literally and figuratively. When Pony came home he wasn't allowed to be alone, like he was on lockdown. And of course nothing bad happened to Johnny (this is canon.........i don't care) but Dally had him on tight leesh, no Soc was gonna put his baby in a situation like that ever again.
