Two Roommates At the Edge of the Universe (Potential Book of Bill Spoilers)
Belos: Of all the heathenistic, pagan gods to be saddled with for eternity, it has to be... you.
Bill Cipher: (quadruples) Well, well, well, well... aren't you a sight for sore "eye." My old business partner, Philip Wittebane... or is it Belos? It's been ages... how has your whole "witch hunting" gone?
Belos: I have nothing to say to you, demon.
Bill Cipher: Oh, well look at you. You look like some slop that escaped from the pigpen! Looks like that kid you made a deal with did a number on you. Serves you right for calling off our deal.
Belos: Our plans did not align. After all, I would never help you raze the Earth. You are the Devil himself.
Bill Cipher: (chuckles) Thanks, but I can't accept that compliment since I was actually kicked out of H - E double hockey sticks. Do not tell me that you are still playing that "evil for a good cause" bullshit.
Belos: I should not conform to the temptations of sin by talking to you, Cipher. My quest was nothing but righteous. Witches defile everything they come across. But my plan failed. All I could remember before my consciousness faded was seeing a huge, celestial frilled lizard... something more ancient than the Boiling Isles... and it told me I could live once more.
Bill Cipher: Blah, blah, blah. The difference between you and me is that I can admit that everything I had done throughout the trillion years of my life were nothing more than for funsies. I wiped out planets; I ate gods for breakfast. I drove millions to madness and watched their brains melt and seep through their ears and staining the ground. I have done more than you can ever hope to! I've slaughtered hundreds because my credit card was declined. I am the god of madness and chaos. All of this I have done before you crawled out of your mommy's hoo-ha! I have lived one-billion lifetimes more than you can attest to you one lifespan, 3 dimensional, Sloppy Joe meat puppet!
Belos: Oh? Well, to be fair, I never destroyed my home.
Bill Cipher: (stops ranting) I don't know what you're talking about.
Belos: You wanted to impress your race but they were wiped out in one tragic event wasn't it?
Bill Cipher: (grasps the side of his head) No, no. I remember that day well. A monster destroyed my world! I am a victim... how dare you bring up my past?
Belos: So now you're mad. No wonder you are still here. You can't take responsibility for anything.
Bill Cipher: (he turns red and gets increasingly angry, but he calms down) Well, tell me... how is that brother of yours? I seem to recall his name...
Belos: Don't you dare...
Bill Cipher: Caleb? Oh, yes, I remember it now. I remember that day as if it were yesterday. Your brother met a nice little witch lady, but you entered the Demon Realm thinking that he was bewitched... but you saw that he not only married her, but she was pregnant.
Belos: (grapples with his temples) Silence... no more.
Bill Cipher: (conjures up a knife) Oh, does my eye deceive me? Here's the knife that you killed your brother with.
Belos: Shut up!
Bill Cipher: HA HA HA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You should have seen the look on his face! He was so devastated that his own brother stabbed him when he was protecting his wife!
Belos: She - He! I was trying to save his soul! He chose his own fate. He stabbed me in the back. After all those years being witch hunters, he allowed himself to be tempted by the wiles of that harlot!
Bill Cipher: (cheeky) Ah, does widdle Belos miss his brutha? Does he want some milky? Or someone to tell him bed stowies? HA HAHAHA HA HA HA!! Face it, old man, you are just like me. All you ever cared about was being the hero who would save mankind from the forces of evil.
Belos: Grrr.... I am not evil.
Bill Cipher: Well... The Axolotl sent you here to be "rehabilitated." If you're lucky, you can reincarnate into some worm that eats shit for a living.

Part 11: In and Out
Part 10: Devil’s Fruit
pairing: Officer!Leon Kennedy × Coroner's Assistant!Reader
warnings: not really detailed murder, vomiting, manipulation, bribing (this is just a big moment for the two) if i missed anything let me know!
Morning air was always the freshest, it filled the lungs with a warmth like nothing else could. Birds chirping as the dew still laid across the grass. It was so tranquil, but now was no time to relax. Leon had left her laying in his sheets. He watched her for a moment. His eyes lingering on how her chest rose and fell in a steady rhythm, her lips parted as she sucked in a breath. He couldn't wait to kiss those lips once more. To feel how he felt last night, after he'd fucked her full of his seed, he'd found himself with her on his lap, putting her nickname to good use as she bunny hopped on his cock. He smirked to himself as he remembered the way her thighs felt under his palms, squeezing the fat of her ass and thigh as she bounced on him. Leon pressed a kiss to her head, at her hairline, before he threw on some old jeans and a t shirt that was a size too small, he hadn't worn it since before he bulked up from trying to keep a nice physique for his job.
Leon hadn't truly planned his next steps, he felt a familiar scene of sitting in his car, staring at the two toned building that housed the love of his life. She was safe, locked away in his apartment, she was protected from the evil that crept through the world. The evil that he despised and worked so hard to prevent and stop. The evil he, now, had started to plan in his mind.
He wished it didn't have to be this way, that he could've just simply had the beautiful life of meeting her; asking her out, her agreeing and them having a beautiful first date. Then, months later, he'd say he loved her, then they'd share their first time, then he'd propose a few months later, a beautiful big wedding and then their first child, then their second... third...
A groan left his parted lips, his hand rubbing deeply into his eyes. He backed out of the parking lot. How was he gonna do it? A rope- suicide? No. People her age didn't typically hang them selves. Overdose? He lingered on that thought a little longer, but ultimately decided not that route, either. It would take too long, so he decided that it would have to just be done by him. A shiver ran down his spine at the thought. He'd never-
"Leon, baby- please.", he didn't understand, he hadn't seen his mother so frantic in his life. "Hide, please, baby.", her whispers were desperate. "You said you didn't like when i hid-", Leon's sweet childish voice, how serene. "This time i want you to-", a thud cut her off. "I love you, do not leave this closet until i tell you to.", she pressed a haste kiss to his forehead, rubbing the underside of his cheek before she closed the closet doors. "Keep quiet and close your eyes, Leon, my sweet boy.", with that, he heard the glass breaking, the grunts and huffs as more thuds followed. His eyes tightly shut as he covered his ears. He barely heard the bedroom door open, before his mother's sobs fell on his ears, muffled and muted as she begged. "please- ple-", his ears started to ring, a popping sound nearly causing him to cry out. His tears were hot as he kept his eyes closed, a thud and the floor shaking by his feet. He didn't look. He didn't open his eyes or uncover his ears. She told him to stay... he'd stay...
He hardly remembered her anymore, his heart ached at the thought of forgetting, if his father hadn't been so idiotic, so addictive to the adrenaline that came from gambling, angering pool sharks, starting fights he couldn't finish and borrowing from anyone and everyone until he had enough debt to warrant a break in onto his home, where his wife and child were. It was barely a break in, his mother was so trusting and kind. She never locked the door, claiming that she knew his father got drunk and came home at random times. She didn't want him to get stuck outside the apartment and her not hear him knocking. His hands tightened on his steering wheel, if she'd locked the door, she may have had time to contact the police. She may have had time to hide with him. His teeth grit down so hard he thought he'd bust them. His fingers digging, his shoulders tense. Damn her and damn her. He couldn't get away from women who endangered themselves so innocently.
His fingers slipped on the oversized black hoodie, slipping it over his silky blonde locks. He pulled his head though, his hair messy as the hood was pulled over his face to conceal his blonde locks. He'd parked a few blocks away, he hadn't ever done this before, nor had he ever thought the day would come. He promised he'd keep her safe no matter what, he couldn't do that if someone else knew his actions, someone close to her and able to spill his secrets. He wanted this to be over, he wanted to be back in his apartment in her arms, her face hiding, pressed into his chest as she took little breaths that she thought were hidden. Leon loved the way she tried to hide how much she liked him too.
Leon's breath was already running out as he made it to the window. It was a decent jump, if it was open. He slid his fingers into the window sill. He felt the window start to raise as he pushed his fingers further under it. In and out, in and out, he chanted the mantra though his mind, closing his eyes as he bounced on his heels. He had to hurry, not that any part of him could be seen and the gloved protected him from any fingerprints left behind. He needed to hurry, in and out.
His breath came, in and out, his steps soft as he walked through the living room, it was still dark, as dark as it could be with that serene morning sun shining in. He stepped with caution, he was unfamiliar with her home. He was unfamiliar with her routine- his breath caught once he heard it. A creak... that same creak that caused him to be caught in her home that night. His eyes trailed over, his balaclava covering his mouth as he felt the heat of his own breath against his lips. He saw her, she was frail, small... older... he could do this. In and out.
His head hurt, that damn yipping dog, his hand rubbed at his brow. She put up more of a fight than he thought she would. His fingers were tense as he curled them, his eyes snapping closed. The knife that laid abandoned was the only thing he could grab that quick, knife blocks were too handy. Need to cut up a tomato real quick? Reach for the knife block. Need to cut the ties off a new package? Reach for the knife block. Need to quickly slash someone's throat before they can make any noise and tell your, sorta kinda, girlfriend that you were at her house the same day she had a dream you broke in and hit her over the head with a mug? Reach for the knife block. How fucking convenient.
Her body crumpled, much like how her body crumpled that night, but she didn't get back up. She didn't move, her chest still as crimson blood ran down her thin lips. "God, if you weren't so nosey.", he sighed, closing his eyes. "You'll made her sad, you know? All because you wanted to ask my name.", his hand pressed at the knot in his brow. "Couldn't you have just kept walking your damn dog?", he wanted to yell, as he crouched down, his stomach in knots as it threatened to purge the acid from his body. "I get it, I do... she's a sweet girl. You two are friends but, shit, i wasn't gonna hurt her!", his eyes closed once more, willing away the headache that pulled at his mind. "I wasn't gonna hurt her...", he spoke to the deceased elderly woman.
His breath slowed after he'd been there a little longer, staging a break in as he tumbled over furniture, broke the glass table and took some jewelry. He was a cop, he knew what true break ins looked like. He'd messed with the door, taken some items, killed the innocent women who was home at the wrong time. Now it was time to get back home, to the girl that he'd kill for. He licked his lips, tongue darting out to wet his dry lips, since pulling that hot baclava off. He felt like he could breathe. He felt the cool air from the Jeep's air conditioner, the, still, morning air, it felt good. He relaxed back into his seat after walking so far back to his vehicle. This was far too much work, he'd have to be cleaner with any riskier behavior. His arms folded over the steering wheel as he leaned forwards, feeling the pressure release from his spine in a series of cracks and pops, the sound of his jeans sliding across the seat, the only sound he could hear. He'd- God, he needed to throw up.
The Jeep door was threw open as hot, grotesque bile rose from his throat, throwing him onto the ground behind his jeep. He dry heaved, gasps and pants falling from his lips as his right hand held the side of his beloved vehicle. His left firmly placed on his thigh as he knelt, face down onto the cool pavement. It was over... it was done. All he had to do was go in and out, just as his breath was doing as he gazed down at the puddle of stomach acid. His throat burned, it felt like it was sizzling. His nose had remnants of the liquid left behind as he lifted his leg, shakily standing with his weight on the trunk. His head pressing the glass as he shifted all the way up, standing upright now, on his own.
———
She hadn't felt this peaceful in a long time, her body tensing as she stretched out her limbs. Sheets of a soft grey under her as she dug her face into the pillow, it smelt like him, that freshly cleaned, Irish Spring type of scent. It was light on the nose and comforting as her hand reached out across the queen sized bed, her fingers finding not a warm body, but a cold blanket and disturbed bedding. Her face pulled away from the authentic scent, her eyes lingering on the empty side of the bed. He couldn't have ditched her, her brows furrowed at the thought, she was in his home. Surly, if last night was a one, more like two, off then he'd simply asked her to leave? Her fingers dug into the mattress, idly as she pondered his disappearance. Until her bladder had decided enough was enough and she needed to get moving.
She crept from the bed, careful to watch to see if the boyish man would pop out from behind the door at any second. She wasn't familiar with his apartment. Hell, she hadn't even really got to see it, yet. They hadn't had much time for anything else, her cheeks flushed at the memory, those baby blues peeking up at her as he applied his tongue to her- fuck, she really had to pee. Her meme out now faded as she pushed herself bout of the bedroom. "Leon?", her voice rang out into the seemingly empty apartment. Her head poking out to look around his living room. He wasn't kidding... his apartment was not near as comfy as hers. The grey tones of, well, everything was a bit cold feeling. No blankets on the couch or pillows. Just a grey leather couch that had definitely seen better days. A small glass coffee table, a lamp on a side table and a tv propped up on the wall. It was bland. She knew guys weren't as into decorating or warming up the place.
She stepped through the living room, stopping in front of the tv that reflected her form in the light. "Leon?", she called once more, her eyes shifting around the room. Her legs tense as she pressed her thighs together, bathroom. It couldn't be that hidden. Her fingers raised as she walked back down the small side hallway, she pushed open the first door. It was an empty room, except for a trunk and some boxes. She growled, her eyes setting as she quickly pushed open the next. Finally- she rushed forwards. Her sleep pants pushed down as quickly as they could be. She felt instant relief, her lips letting out a sigh.
Her elbows to her knees, her jaw resting in her palms. She gazed across the bathroom, it was a little messy. Towels strewn about and socks, his tooth brush laid on the counter. Her lip pulled up and her eyebrow lowering. Fucking gross, he couldn't get a cup for it? She sighed, her eyes danced to the shower. Irish Spring, she knew it, a small victorious smirk fell on her lips. She looked to the toilet paper holder, the brown cardboard staring back at her. Her smirk was quickly relaxed with a wide eye stare. No fucking way. Panic hit her throat, no fucking way was she about to wait for Leon to come back and then above that, have him come back to her sitting in his bathroom, trapped by the lack of toilet paper.
A whine left her lips, her eyes going to the cabinet next to her. Please, please, please- her fingers curled over the edge of the door as she pulled it back, her eyes catching the roll as she reached for it. Her hand falling short at the red lace that laid next to it. She felt sick, were those...? Red, lace, crumpled up and tossed behind the package. "What the hell-", her words were near whispers. She heard the door close, her hand snatching back away from the underwear.
———
Leon walked into the apartment, his hands full of bags. What better way to wake up the beauty in his bed than breakfast from Honey Hollow? He had a smile on his lips besides the heat and sick feeling in his chest. He was disgusted but slightly proud of himself. Nothing was going to ruin them now. He placed the bags down on his counter, eyes lingering in the open bedroom door. He slid off that brown jacket he loved and had slid into after ditching the bloodied hoodie. A smirk tugged at his lips, what a sleeping- his eyes widened, where-
The click of the lock of a door, his eyes scanned the hallway, seeing her form in the bathroom door wat. Her sleepy, half lidded eyes. "Hey, sweet girl.", Leon's voice was oddly soft for someone who had done the things he had in the past 3 days. He could tell something was wrong, the way her bottom lip poked slightly more forwards. Her glassy little eyes, so soft and shining in the now nearly after noon sunshine. "What's wrong?", he stepped forwards, his hand up to cup her cheek. "What-", "Can you take me home?", her words shook slightly, her hand still holding the door ajar. "Please, i need to check on everything since the power went out.", that's not what's wrong, a few lost groceries didn't warrant an expression near tears. "I'll take you home after you eat.", that was not going to happen. He was going to keep her here for as long as he could. She couldn't go home, she couldn't be the one to find the body. He wanted to scare her but not down right scar her for life. "Leon, I want to go home-", she was adamant, her eyes searching his face. "I will take you home.", her eyes started to light up, "After you eat, i brought Honey Hollow. Coffee.", he turned away from her, walking towards his kitchen. He sighed, peeking at her as she hung her head and followed him. "They're calling for more severe storms today. As long as the weather permits, I'll take you home, bunny. Can you tell me why you really want to go home?", his voice was soft as he leaned into the stool at his counter. his leg stretched out as his other stayed bent. His hand on the counter and the other held out to her. She looked so down and upset.
She didn't know what happened, there's no way. Did she get bad news? Her phone wasn't on her. "Come here, bunny.", his voice was more stern at her lack of attention. His hand stretched a little further out as hers laid in his. He pulled her close between his legs and into his chest. "Did something happen? Did i upset you?", his chin rest on her shoulder. "Just tell me, I don't want you to be upset and leave in a mad mood.", he wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "I just want to make sure Mrs. Jones is okay and make sure my apartment is okay. I had some food in the fridge and I don't want it to smell up the house if the power stayed out all night.", she sighed, her hands on his thighs. He hadn't even thought to try and see if the power was on. He could've checked while he was there. "I'll take you home as long as it isn't storming.", he sighed, hugging the girl tighter.
Leon knew he had to tread carefully at the moment. He wasn't sure what was weighing on her mind. He didn't want to be angry with her but the sudden shutting him out, hurt. He knew she wasn't that worried last night, she'd been happy to come to his place last night and now, here, she was clamming up on him. Leon's lips pressed to her forehead, above her eyebrow. "Come on, let's eat.", he whispered, tucking her hair behind her ear. He'd be soft and sweet despite the tensing he felt in his joints. After all, everything he did was for her. Her safety came first, then her happiness. He couldn't risk her safety for her wants right now. He kept his arms around the quiet girl as she peeked at the bag, she was hungry and a small smile fell onto his face. He had lured her into agreeing at least for now. "I wasn't sure what you'd want, i got a sausage egg and cheese biscuit and then a bacon, egg and cheese.", he turned slightly, causing her to take a step forwards, now trapped between him and the counter, between his legs as she peeking into the bag. "sausage.", she watched as he reached in, "Got you a donut, too. Sweet girls deserve sweet treats.", he tried to warm her up as he kissed the side of her cheek, reaching over and placing the wrapped biscuit in her hands.
Her fingers unwrapped it as he grabbed his own. "Your Frappe, too.", he placed it in front of her. Was he bribing her? Yes. Unfortunately, it was the only way to ensure she didn't ask to go home again. He knew something was still bothering her as she was so quiet but he wanted to ease her away from whatever was prying into her mind. "Thank you, Leon.", she whispered as his hands ran her sides, feeling the curve of her hips as he trapped her with his legs. "Of course, I'll always make sure you're taken care of.", he hoped the words touched her, wiped her mind of the worrying thought. "I'll always, always take care of you, bunny. I promise you.", he placed his forehead onto her shoulder, he could feel her muscles moving as she ate quietly. His arms wrapped tighter around her, he never wanted to let go, wrapping around her waist to bring her back into his chest.
They both jumped, their bodies tensing as Leon's head popped up from her shoulder. A roll of thunder and a lightening strike outside the kitchen window had them both staring like deer in headlights. Her shoulders sagged as Leon's eyes lit up. He reached for his phone, sliding open the lock screen as the weather app was quickly tapped. Severe Thunderstorms, expected to last until 10pm. "I'm sorry, bunny. I'll take you home in the morning.", he sighed, he got the rest of the afternoon with the ill tempered woman. Her defeat caused a soaring victorious feeling to fill his chest. He couldn't spare her safety in exchange for happiness, she'd have to sulk in safety, in his arms. Thunder rolled over the pair, wrapped in the confines of his apartments his arms back around her as she stared out of the window, the glass quickly marred by the rain drops that blurred the bustling city.
Her sadness was valid, finding another woman's underwear in his apartment was down right gut wrenching. It wasn't fair, so many months of side glances and tense moments. He'd really been with someone else? Her lips brushed past the slightly greasy biscuit, taking a bite as the juice from the sausage dribbled down her chin. His finger came up to wipe at the clear liquid, wiping away the impurity. His finger-pads were rough, but it soothed her. Yet, she couldn't shake the feelings of hurt as she peered into his baby blues. His smile soft but even as before, there was always something lurking underneath. Like the grip he had on her at the party or the quick sharp quip he had slung at her in the car. She was safe, right?

THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE STOPS AT DAWN AND SPINS BACK TO HOLD THE DEVIL
[SYNOPSIS] ˚⁀➷。 being one of five special grades, you learn how to deal with exorcisms, but rarely with loss.
[NOTES] ˚⁀➷。 i was kinda skeptical to post this because i don’t rlly write for jjk but i had this planned out (sloppily) in my notes for so long. i would like to thank @twentyfivemiceinatrenchcoat for inspiring me through their fic if i fell through the floor i’d keep falling to post this (i know we’ve never interacted before so i’m literally so sorry if this comes off as random & makes you uncomfortable) because a) of how much i love that fic and b) of how it reminded me of this and actually motivated me to finish and polish it. also big thanks to my shawtybae ray @httpshujii whom i left traumatized after i asked her to beta-read this fic😭😭
[EXTRAS] ˚⁀➷。 timeline is probably WAAAAAAAAAY off, especially the shibuya incident/culling game. swearing, a lot of words.
24.12.2017
“you two can’t even tell good and evil apart.”
“doesn’t that guy piss you off, mimiko?”
“nanako, want me to hang him?” the brunette holds her rope tight around the dummy’s neck.
her sister, annoyed by the assistant’s words, hisses. “you guys don’t even know how sorcerers like us are treated in the shitty countryside that doesn’t show up on maps. you do all the good and evil you want. but for us, if geto-sama says so, then black is white and white is black. we believe in the world he sees; and we will hang everybody who gets in the way!” she threatens and they both take their combat positions, ready to strike when, suddenly, footsteps echo through the empty alleyway.
“cut it out, you three.” wind blows though silky hair and a perfume they all recognize takes over the air as all of their faces drop. “don’t bother, ijichi, they’re just as stubborn as their dad.” a smile glides across your lips, but disappears just a few moments later. “ew, my pants are stained with curse juice.”
“mom?” “y/n-san?” they gasp at the same time, and ijichi’s head turns back so fast you could swear you heard his neck snap.
“ ‘mom’ ? y/n-san, what’s going on?” he asks, beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
“that’s a long story i’ll tell you only if you promise not to snitch to the higher-ups.” you grin at him, patting him on his shoulder as you pass by. “don’t worry, i’m not switching sides.” you reassure, and hear him sigh in relief.
with the speed of light, the twins rush towards you, embracing you in a warm hug.
“miko, please don’t hang my friend, yeah? and you, young lady, what did we talk about, try to be a little less hostile!” you scold, ruffling their hair a little rougher than usual. then, a crash startles all four of you.
“miguel? what the hell are you doing!” the light-brunette shouts, rolling her eyes once the man’s ironic response reacher her ears.
“ugh, ” you can only do the same, brows furrowing when another familiar face pops up, “satoru, pipe down! and pleaaaaase try to not kill him!” you shout to grab gojo’s attention, dragging out the plead.
“when you ask me so nicely, i guess i can make an exception for you, bestie boo!” he shrugs, winking with his only uncovered eye.
ignoring the antics that you’re so used to, your attention falls back on the girls.
“you two, ” you start, clapping your hands closed and dragging your right hand as to conjure a katana. then, you scrape a circle with it in the cobblestone, “i’ll teleport you somewhere safe, i don’t like where this is going, and i gotta clean up some of the curses suguru let loose around here. be careful, i love you.” you wave as a big fire sphere rushes up from the ground, building a barrier between you. before the girls can say anything else, they disappear completely. “ijichi, text me the date and time and i’ll be there. gotta get to kusakabe as soon as i can or he may need to get his diaper changed.”
you laugh, dissipating into a puddle of black, while your underclassman still can’t believe what he’s witnessed.
15.10.2008
you know that what you’re about to do is rash and irrational, and possibly clearly also considered treachery in the jujutsu world. the fact that nobody had already caught wind of what you were up to was and still is in itself a miracle, but you could narrow it down to them thinking you were still grieving; and truth be told, you still kind of were, trying to do it the best you could. healing fresh wounds is never easy and recovering from a break-up that didn’t directly happen is sometimes like trying to sew shut a deep wound with cotton thread.
and that’s what kept you going in the most excruciating year of your life: your wounds deserve to close properly, and it is within your right to be able to run your fingers across your skin, without fearing they’ll plunge deep into your chest and dreading to take them out knowing they’ll be covered in blood and the smell of a broken heart.
so you step, determined and furious to get your cause across. you bang your fists on the big door, and a chubby man of middle age greets you at the entrance.
“what’s your name? do you have an appointment?” he questions, and you answer with the same western bullshit name you gave when you rang them up to book said ‘appointment’. he turns a few pages in his clipboard and finally his face lights up.
“yes, please, come in!” his arm is stretched out in a gentlemanly manner, signaling for you to enter. and you do, something bubbling in the pit of your stomach. excitement? no, that’s almost impossible. hate? hurt? the wish for vengeance you have so obsessively dreamed about? you’re not sure about any of those. when you step into the room, though, you feel nervous. like you’re walking on the thin glass shards of your broken youth — the one that got spat and shat on by the same world that made geto spiral into his madness — stolen mercilessly by the greediness of the higher-ups.
“geto-sama will come in shortly!” he explains, and you gather all your composure to ensure you won’t vomit right then and there.
“he calls himself geto-sama now?” you wonder, and although you haven’t said it out loud, the title still leaves a bitter feeling on your tongue. you imagine maybe that’s what curses taste like to suguru.
“welcome, miss— oh.“ full of confidence he struts from behind two curtains, and when he sees you, his gaze softens and you swear you can catch a glimpse of the boy you lost an autumn ago. “it’s so nice to see you, y/n!” he calls out and picks up his pace, almost rushing to you. “i’m so glad it’s not one of those monkeys! sometimes i get nauseous from seeing them all the time!” he face-palms, then beams, and takes your hands in his, leaving a kiss on your temple, lastly pulling you close to him like he always did, even before he vanished.
you think you’re going to be sick again, watching him act all nonchalant and normal, as if nothing has happened. “how dare he?” you think, feeling the anger pierce your stomach walls, and settling in your throat. how can he act like this? like you’re still high-school sweethearts, like he’s just come back from a mission and you’re standing at the school gates, ready to welcome him back. your brain almost freezes, heart urging you to stay like that, but mind screaming at you to pull away from him.
so, against your heart’s wishes, you tear away from him. “monkeys? that’s what you call them now, suguru?” you click your tongue in annoyance, a habit he knows you have whenever you’re about to get petty. “what happened to civilians, non-sorcerers, humans, people?” you ask, blank face staring daggers into his soul.
“my love, they’re all just monkeys.” your once-lover says with the same nonchalance, “don’t bother being all so formal with them. they can’t even use jujutsu, like we do, so—“ before he can say anything else, you cut him off, something similar to a mix of anger and sadness in your voice.
“don’t call me that, suguru.” your voice cracks a little, eyebrows furrow and your heartbeat picks up its pace, and you think maybe your legs are going to give out on you any minute now. “i’m not here to play happy family reuinted.” you almost choke on your words. “i—”
“geto-sama!!! geto-sama!!!” a panicked, feminine voice comes from behind the curtains, and soon enough, two young girls emerge from them. one has light brown hair, the other’s is a little darker than shoko’s. they can’t be older than 6, 5 if you dare to overthink. the former is dragging her sister by her hand, and the latter is holding a plushy tight against her chest, stumbling here and there.
“what’s wrong, you two?” he asks gently, crouching down to their level. you remember how he used to speak to you the same whenever you came back from a mission sad or displeased and your heart drops at how easy it is to break down your walls and have memories growing like ice flowers in the archives you vouched to burn off your mind.
“mimiko—“ her gaze averts to you and ricochets into the ground, small figure balancing from foot to foot as she apologizes, “oh, i’m sorry for interrupting.”
when you look at them, you can’t help but smile. they look so… sweet. so innocent. what are they doing here? “that’s alright, you don’t have to pardon yourself, it seemed urgent.” with a motherly sympathy you didn’t know you held within you, you explain. with the corner of your eye, you see a smile bloom on geto’s face.
“ohmygod!” the same one calls out to her sister in a not-so-subtle whisper. “that’s the lady whose picture geto-sama has! the one he told us about!”
“nanako… you can’t say that when she’s in front of us… it’s rude.” mimiko half-heartedly scolds her sister.
you can’t help the blush from creeping up your cheeks or the laugh from escaping your lips.
“y/n, these are nanako and mimiko.” suguru explains and nudges them forward. “girls, this is y/n, but you already knew.” he smiles again, abstaining himself from laughing at his own semi-bad joke. “they’re…” he continues. “they’re my epiphany, the reason i left the useless jujutsu world and started to make my own.”
you try to ignore the last part of his introduction and his sickeningly smug grin, and you crouch down too, in order to observe them from closer proximity. “nice to meet you both.” you say, warmly, and touch the floor with your hand. a puddle of black forms around it and you awkwardly rummage through the void. soon enough, you pull out two candy-bars.
“i hope you two like macadamia nuts and chocolate. unfortunately it’s all i have right now.” you apologize with a sheepish smile, handing them the sweets. they look at geto to seek approval, and when he nods enthusiastically, they accept your gift with lots of giggles and bright grins.
suguru’s heart skips a beat before it melts. he really is touched you’re showing his daughters so much kindness, but he’s even happier he sees the same candy-bars you ate in high school. he feel nostalgic, even though he knows it’s only been a year. but just like in his case, he thought a year might have been significant change for you too.
the tender moment is interrupted by knocking on the door. “geto-sama, i’m terribly sorry to disturb, but your next appointment is here.” an assistant calls out, and geto is visibly annoyed.
“tell them to wait for a little bit. we’re still not ready to wrap up.” he commands, outside going silent instantly. “i am so sorry to cut this short, y/n.” he says, admitting regret, “you are welcome to drop by any time you want. and you don’t have to use a fake name.” he’s hopeful now, he’s even more confident, and he steps closer to you.
but as if you two are magnets of the same polarity, your body forces you to take a step back. his gaze saddens and something like despair flashes briefly across his face. it almost reads like “please come by again. please.” almost like a desperate plead.
“i’ll see.” is the only response you can give before turning around and heading to the door. before you open it, you look back at the three of them. “nanako, mimiko, it was nice to meet you.” you say, softness for the two canceling out whatever uncomfortable feelings you had before.
“you too, y/n-sama! please come by again!” they both say back, waving as you leave the room. a peculiar tickle renders your body almost perplexed when you hear the honorific.
you navigate through the temple like you’re trying to find the exit of a maze, but when you’re outside, you take a deep breath of fresh air. your hand travels up to wipe the shells of the tears forming in your eyes and you swear you can smell the blood that’s gushing from your still unclosed wounds, sewn again with cotton thread.
“they’re my epiphany.”
they’re his epiphany.
you replay the scene in your head, and feel desperate the more you chant the mantra, as if your ego has not only been broken, but sanity stripped away from you. then, your thoughts are broken by your phone ringing. flipping up the cover, you try to play everything off as normal.
“shoko?” you say, “is everything alright?”
“i should be the one asking you that.” her tone is sharp, “is everything alright with you, y/n?” it softens, and like a dam about to break lose, you sniffle and answer out.
“no.” it’s clear, it’s there, you said it. you don’t have to pretend.
“come over. i miss having my girl around.” she says, and you giggle.
“you’re lucky i’m in the area. i’ll be there in fifteen, girlfriend. and stop talking to me like im one of your hoes.”
she just laughs manically before ending the call. you smile, and go.
10.04.2009
you don’t know for sure if whatever you feel against nanako and mimiko is compassion or pity. or maybe hatred, sometimes disguised as jealousy. but ever since geto said that, there is this little voice in the back of your head that keeps playing the same sentence, like your mind’s a broken record.
“he chose them over you.”
“he chose them over you.”
“he chose them over you.”
“he chose them over you.”
“he chose them over you.”
you’re not sure how to feel. they’re kids. they’re young, they didn’t coax him into starting this. maybe they were just caught in the crossfire, you like to guess. maybe they were the last straw.
or maybe, you were simply not good enough, which, in all honesty, was hard to accept. being a special-grade sorcerer that came from nothing isn’t easy. someone’s always on your back, refusing to get off; from the higher-ups to one’s parents. it’s hard to live up to pre-made expectations, and carry burdens on an already-cracked spine, but you’ve always been strong — so strong even gojo pissed his pants sometimes — so what happened? what made him resort to this?
finally, after looking through the things he left behind in his room, you came to understand geto didn’t leave because he wanted to, he left because that was what it came to. and slowly, you accepted that the twins really were nothing more than two girls caught in a crossfire, that geto somehow saved. his last mission, it must’ve been excruciating, he must’ve seen hell in its true form (again) or death itself in front of him (for the third time) when he went to that village and slaughtered it mercilessly.
that was actually the case, as you come to learn. after six months you build up the courage to visit again, this time unannounced, this time without a purpose. you were sure it’d be left unserved anyway, like the last one. so, when suguru welcomes you into the room once more, you make small talk. and ask about his life, sometimes trying not to gag when he makes disgusting remarks about “monkeys”.
and voluntarily, he tells you the girls’ story after they fall asleep on your lap, dead exhausted thanks to the running around they did. you learn their past, and see something ignite in suguru that makes you think. if you had been there, would you have done the same? would you have stopped him, or joined him? he did nothing wrong, he killed abusers. he killed people that beat two defenseless children, something he shouldn’t have been persecuted for, you thought. this whole monkey thing, tough, something else, another story. but maybe, just maybe had somebody heard him out, he wouldn’t be staying across from you dressed in robes but instead you would’ve been sitting in an apartment you bought with all the money you saved up, all four of you cradled next to the other watching tv with the volume off as to not wake up the sleeping girls. and maybe, just maybe, satoru would have found the fushiguro-zen’in boy and his sister that he’s so serious on finding and they’d come over and play together, while you, shoko and sometimes utahime and mei gossip on the couch and suguru, satoru, nanami and ijichi hang out in the kitchen.
if it weren’t for your teenage heart and forgiving soul, you wouldn’t have begged geto to consider your idea.
“i can try and negotiate a deal for you.” you’re serious, and not about to give up, no matter what he says. “i’ve been taking extra missions, suguru. they like me, they started to value my opinion in the last two years.” you say, and your eyes gloss over when you look at him.
“y/n…” he sighs. “this is my choice. i’m content living like this.”
you break a little.
“don’t say that suguru. it’s not too late, you know? i can vouch for you, i can make sure nanako and mimiko are safe, if that’s what you’re actually concerned about. i will take extra shifts, i will fight for you.” you start to crack and chip off at the edges. “in the end, you did nothing wrong killing those villagers, but that’s something they’re just gonna look away from because you killed non-sorcerers. hateful, filthy, non-sorcerers that deserved their fate.” you say, gritting and swearing behind teeth, jaw clenched and breathing like your lungs are glued together.
suguru always liked your sense of justice. it was always strong, defined, your moral compass was as clear as the sky on the first day you were transferred to jujutsu high. it was refreshing to see someone like you, that fought, no matter what; that gave herself up for the cause she wanted to prove. you would’ve killed yourself if it meant judgement had been served correctly, and even if it meant losing yourself on the way, you loved standing up for what was right. you’d tear at yourself so everybody could be happy. and he could see it in your eyes, the way they shine with the beauty of a thousand galaxies and the passion of a hundred suns, radiating hope, even after all that you’ve been through. you’re hope, you’re love, you’re light, ready to sacrifice herself just so others could grasp that spark even for a little while. ah, as long as…, like you said in your heydays, cigarette between teeth as geto lit it for you, shoko boo’d in the background and satoru annoyed nanami but entranced haibara, holding the world in your hands, ready to blast another wall, to save another soul, to make another life-source. you were temperance and the tower all in one, the embodiment of balanced destruction, the origin of damaged harmony. you ate, chewed and spit yourself out so everyone could see that you were raw — you were like them — you were all the same, kids with power and jobs too big for ages that didn’t even bloom correctly yet.
but this time, he can’t let you do that. you can’t be his divine intervention anymore, you can’t make a catastrophe of your life just to build his anew. he had chosen his way the day he committed mass murder, roots of his goal planted deep inside his hatred for non-sorcerers, and it was far too late to go back, no matter what you said or could have said or say, his life is now with his cult. and he looks at you, with his girls cradled in your lap and wonders of the life you could have had, had amanai’s death not taken such a toll on him. he never told you, but he wanted you to meet her. she would’ve absolutely adored you, no doubt, and vice-versa.
sometimes he wakes up in the morning and you’re not next to him and then he imagines it too: a little house in meguro, and he’d wake up at the crack of dawn and look at you sleeping peacefully beside him, then he’d get up and cook breakfast. he envisions evening walks in spring, when the cherry blossoms bloom, and nanako and mimiko running wildly along the river banks, and you shouting after them to be careful. his heart swells with what if’s and maybe’s but he remembers that in his world, he can achieve that. and he doesn’t have to worry about any of you three being in danger either.
you feel the need to change the topic. you feel the regret floating around in the air — you feel the wound you tried to sew shut so many times miserably — and it reeks of fresh blood and sweet tea and plum blossoms and the winter he confessed his feelings.
“let me help you get them to bed.” you smile, and he reciprocates. he takes nanako from your lap softly as not to disturb her sleep, and guides you to their room.
you find yourself kissing their foreheads as if they’re your daughters, as if you hadn’t met them only two times in your life, and suguru finds himself too close to you. you think he’s too close to you too, but right now, in this shit you’ve dragged yourself into, you don’t care at all anymore.
so you kiss him, you lift yourself up on your toes enough for him to already know what you’re doing and to bend down. electricity sparks and you see yourself in the middle of snowy shibuya crossing yet again, people going on about their day while you pour your hearts out to the other silently, carnally, with chapped lips falling against each other, devouring the curse of love with gluttony, and freezing hands tangled in the intimacy of two sixteen year olds dumb enough to think they’re able to write their own destiny.
that’s why you continue to visit. in the rest of 2009, 2010, 2011, and so on. between what you lost that you never even had, and the brief moment of serenity of feeling like a family with geto and the girls, you finally feel like you have something to live for.
it goes without saying that it still frightened you — if anyone were to find out where you were going, who you were going to — they all may have been put in danger. but the moment the big, wooden door to the temple opens and two smiley faces jump into your arms while the boyfriend you never had the guts to break up with greets you sweetly, all the worry dissipates. you were not there “to play happy family reunited”, you had found a family. and as twisted life had layed itself out for geto, maybe yours wasn’t that far from it either.
so, once a month you come, with gifts, with candy, with love and worry and whatnot. you’re there to see the twins grow up, sometimes you help suguru cut their hair, to navigate through all the stages of girlhood you experienced too — well, almost all, since it’s kind of hard to give them really everything when their dad is a wanted mass murderer in a world over half of the population doesn’t even know exists. but you’re there, and you’re happy when you’re with them. they’re your sun.
and it goes like that for years, you come, you laugh, and you leave. sometimes before you leave, geto kisses you chastely, and sometimes more, which means you stay the night, and he partially sees his dream come true the next morining; and he loves it, he can’t wait to get it done, but he feels guilty. guilty for the plan he’s come up with and guilty knowing you’re gonna be on the opposite side, no matter what.
when the girls turn eight, they start calling you ‘mom’, to your and geto’s surprise. but they like it, and honestly, so do you and so does their dad. it’s random, but it feels natural, it feels warm. suguru’s heart sinks, and he thinks he can keep his plan hidden and pushes it back a few more years, until he can’t anymore. so, on the twins’ eleventh birthday, a beautiful day of 2013, it’s the last time you come. you try to talk him out of it, but no matter how many pleads and promises and compromises, his decision is still the one he told you. that day, when you leave and look back with a fake smile at the kids waving at you from the door, the wind feels sharper on your face and the air is definitely colder than what it was supposed to ever be. you go to the bar and drown out your sorrows, glass after glass after glass after glass after glass until you’re numb. and even in the numbness, there’s still an aching pain, like a scorching dagger has been stabbed through your heart, burning the skin and muscle and everything in between on its way to bring you down. you wonder if that’s what curses feel when they’re exorcised.
so, while nanako and mimiko ask about you and why their mom isn’t coming anymore, you bury yoursef in work. you kill, you start to teach, you do paperwork. satoru comes over sometimes and when you look at him, you can only cry. shoko comes over more than sometimes, and when you look at her you can also only cry. they both hug you and sometimes cry with you too: a pity party. nanami writes to you a lot, and when you read his messages you also cry. sometimes you go to visit him, and he looks at you with a disgusting look. he knows you haven’t broken records these past few months because of your love for jujutsu, but because of the hate you bear for it. his heart shatters seeing his senior like this. so, he pours you tea and gets you the cookies you always loved, stashed next to a framed picture of you three — you, him and haibara.
kento always thought you were like glue. you kept everyone together. and although him and yu were only your juniors, you made them feel like they were your brothers. you brought together the jujutsu world so closely, you made it seem like it could work, until nobody was there to help you, even though you tried so hard. it was like a mirage, but so closely and delicately conjured one could swear it was real — maybe that was your true domain expansion — and you would’ve killed yourself if that meant it’d be kept intact, and you kind of did, because at the price of your own well-being, you took care of the others. you worked overtime so gojo had less missions to go on, helped nanami get out of jujutsu and welcomed him right back with open arms and broken heart that still needed mending desperately, and helped shoko with med school until she decided she’d just cheat herself into getting her eligibility.
and you’re a wreck, so you browse pictures in your phone of you, suguru and the girls, you frame them but keep them away from the world’s eyes, god knows who may find them and put you on death-row too. you look at them and feel like you’re mourning geto a second time around, but this time you’re also mourning.. your kids. the kids who called you mom, who sometimes called you up at night when they had some “girl problems” they couldn’t tell suguru right off the bat, the girls that asked you to sew their ripped clothes, and who watched you and geto do that side by side.
you didn’t understand how suguru came to that conclusion, to push you away for good. you never tried to erase his ideology from the girls’ minds, you simply mothered them. you loved them, trained them, you loved him, so what was up with him?
geto feels miserable too. he lost you once, and now he’s lost you twice. he’s rougher with his monkeys, he feels like he’s mourning once again too. and when he looks at nanako and mimiko he cannot stop his heart from ripping apart. they look at pictures of you. every single day, there’s not one that passes when he doesn’t want to call you and tell you to come back. to be the glue, to love him and his daughters, to make them laugh and jump and smile and make him feel warm and fuzzy inside all again. for the first time in his life, he has doubts about his dream world, because when he looks at the once so cheerful duo, sad while holding your picture, and when he remembers the tears in your eyes and how you wiped them away quickly when they came to hug you goodbye, he wants to kill himself like you always did for your cause. he wants to make the devil chew him and spit him out for forgetting you are just like him too — flesh, bones, and misery.
so, for once in his new life, geto does something he never thought he would do — he compromises. exactly 364 days after he forbids you from coming by again, he tells the twins they can go out in the world and enjoy their life. maybe they’ll go looking after you, he thinks, he hopes, and he sees their faces light up and they see his do the same. “but don’t talk to monkeys when it’s not necessary!” he orders, no, he asks. he can’t order his children around.
and mimiko and nanako go out in the world, alone, for the first time, the following day. geto asks them to buy any cake they want, to celebrate for when they come back. so they head to the bakery that breached the barriers of what they knew, once every thirty days: they mostly knew the universe geto had created for them, and once a month came clashing down an asteroid, with flowers, sweets and everything the cult didn’t really have, their mother.
so, after almost getting lost thrice on the metro, when they enter the minimalist store they searched on google maps because they kept a cardboard box of sweets you once brought over, and see your tired figure, tears in your eyes as you mouth and explain the kanji of their name to the lady with the piping bag in her hand, their eyes swell and they can only weakly sob “mom..?”, unsure if it’s actually you or a mirage.
when your head snaps in the direction of the door and you see the two kids you missed so badly in a year, you stare at them blankly. you’re afraid to get close to them, thinking maybe they’re just a shadow created by the months of exhaustion, but when mimiko asks if you remember them, you break down crying, embracing them while they weep on your shoulder too. “how could i not?” you stifle between sniffles and feel them hug you even tighter. it’s almost like movie scene, and even the cashier is on the verge of tears.
when you pull away, you’re all red-eyed and stuffy-nosed, hair a mess and hearts clammy. “let me pay for the cake first, and we can go to my place, yes?” you say and they both nod like they did when you weren’t quite as closely acquainted yet.
“we also have to buy a cake..” nanako says, “could you help us?”
you don’t hesitate and pull them to the refrigerator to chose. “what was the one you always bought?” mimiko asks, heart thumping in her chest. “well, it’s the one i have over there, but they’re actually order-only.” you say, eyeing the cake, sad. the twins bite their lips and scan whatever’s left in the display window.
“excuse me,” the lady jumps in, trying to regain composure too “we have cupcakes with that same filling, if it’s any better!” she says, “and they’re 20 percent off if you buy more than 10! and 50 for more than twenty!”
“then we’d like 24 of them, please.” you say, twins’ faces dropping.
“24? isn’t that too much?” nanako chokes out, and her sister giggles a bit at her expression.
“not at all, no, no!” you reassure, patting their heads. “and don’t even dare to pay me back.” you half-heartedly threaten when the other one reaches into her pocket to take out her wallet. “put it back, miko.”
and so, you get to patch up your heart a little bit. you buy them candles, and they blow them on the cupcakes, and take pictures and laugh about whatever.
and it was like this a lot, because whenever they came over to yours they begged you to tell them about your teenage years and show them everything you did. and, because you couldn’t bring yourself to throw away the years of beauty you had documented on film and paper, you showed them everything, accompanied by cups of tea from porcelain haibara bought you from missions he went on, and cakes and biscuits and all the snacks they asked for (thank god you always kept some stashed for satoru).
pictures of you, satoru, suguru, shoko, nanami, haibara, mei and utahime. they were all there — immortal in the plastic of the polaroids and untouchable in the albums — and no one could steal away those precious moments. you showed them pictures of every kind, going on missions and late night hang-outs in your dorms, they gasped at the sight of geto smoking and laughed at the hairstyles you did on him. in the span of weeks and months of two years, you showed them the person you had fallen in love with, and the friends that welcomed you with open arms in tokyo.
of course they were especially keen on pictures of you and geto, fangirling over the “couple pictures”, the ones shoko took of you both when you weren’t watching and later on gave to you. you showed them satoru’s first hangover, and how their dad held his hair back as he was vomiting his hollow purple into the toilet, and the selfie you and shoko took, a little less hungover, leaning against the stalls.
you showed them videos of you all rehearsing your techniques and geto protecting nanami from gojo’s annoying teenage ass.
you took them to disneyland and rode with them on all the rollercoasters they wanted, and took so many photos you bought nanako a picture-only phone. each of you hung them up in your homes, and sometimes suguru stumbled upon the girls’ pictures when he went into their room, and cried over your portrait upon seeing you in a winnie the pooh headband almost identical to the one he wore when he first took you there in high school.
and although, physically, it weren’t four of you gathered around the table anymore, you still laughed together and you felt free, until 2017 came along.
it was maybe early november when you got the call from satoru, away on business in sapporo. it sounded urgent, and first and foremost, he sounded scared. not frightened, but rather desperate, like he didn’t know what to do. therefore, on your first day back in tokyo, you went to see him.
“just rip the bandaid off, satoru.” you say, gently.
“geto has declared war on us.”
you’re left dumbfounded, tea cup shaking in your hand. you can only blink, awaiting gojo to say more. to give you more information.
“he came by the day i called you. said he’d unleash a thousand curses in kyoto and shinjuku on christmas eve. wanted yuta to join him and belittled maki.”
you put down your cup, head resting in your palms. it feels like a bad dream. you knew what to expect of him, that sooner or later he’d act on his crazy dreams of a non-sorcerer free world, but hoped it would be a lot later than this.
“was he alone?” you ask, gojo’s face making a funny look.
“no, two girls that wanted to eat crepes on takeshita and a shirtless guy.” he explains, “why do you ask?”
this time, you lie to him. you can’t let him know you’ve committed treachery for almost a decade now. “then we should also expect some counter-attack from them, not just some curses running loose.” you explain, and gojo nods approvingly.
“you’re right. we should be careful then, especially with the managers.” he says, and you only bob your head a ‘yes’. “y/n” his voice softens, and round shades peel from his face, “don’t do this to yourself.” he crouches down next to you, hand caressing your shoulder. when he feels your muscles tense, he welcomes you with open arms and you cry on his shoulder for a good ten minutes. when he feels you’ve calmed down, he unlocks his phone and dials a number. it doesn’t ring for long, and he speaks, “hey, emo girl. come over. we’re having a reunion.” he laughs, “y/n’s sad, so you do the maths on how manny bottles you bring.” he says, regretting instantly. “wait, don’t you think five is too much, shoko? hello? shoko? agh, fuck you, girl.” you laugh, and so does he, stroking your back once more. “everything’s gonna be okay, babygirl.”
“dont you ever call me that again.”
the next day, you wake up with your phone blowing up, next to shoko, in gojo’s bed. “answer the fucking phone already.” she groans, and you do, but not before kicking her side.
“yes?” without even looking at the caller id you speak, head spinning from all the alcohol (two bottles and a half, each) and voice hoarse from the packs of cigarettes each one of you smoked the previous night. (three, each.) there goes shoko’s quitting.
“mom? you’re not answering the door, are you okay?” nanako speaks from the other side and you instantly jump out of bed, startling your friend.
“i’ll be there in… fifteen. please wait.” you say and hang up after hearing a positive answer.
you dart from the apartment, hugging gojo on your way out, explaining something came up.
you drive through the city with the speed of light, getting home not just in time, but seven minutes early, and the twins hug you when you see them. when they sit you down on the couch to tell you something, your heart sinks, because you can already feel what it is.
“geto-sama declared war on the college last week.” the fawn haired admits, and the other just looks down at the ground.
“i know.” is all you say, trying to hold back tears.
“we’re really sorry. and if you don’t want to see us again, it’s alright, we, we get it.“ mimiko says, words pulled out of her mouth with prongs, almost unable to finish her sentence.
“don’t you ever think something like that.” you snap, dam breaking behind your eyes. “i saw you all this time despite not agreeing with suguru’s ideology, but you’re still my kids too, you know? i have also done some parenting these last ten years.”
it’s bittersweet, and they feel it too, and they cry too, because from being rescued by suguru to seeing the stranger lady walk into their temple every month and showing them the kindness only geto ever did, you became their mother. you stuck by them, always looking over your shoulder whenever you visited them and taking extra precautions whenever they visited you. you were their asteroid, you were their world, and although geto hurt you, not once, but twice, you still loved him and them like you were there when he saved them.
and they always saw the broken youth and undreamt dreams that hid behind your eyes, so motherly, so tender and reassuring albeit living no better than a fugitive. their lives were less stressful than yours, because you sacrificed yourself to come see them. maybe out of fear of losing geto yet again, or denial, but whatever you may have feared, you always put your little beautifully broken and beloved family above all else, bravely so.
“just promise me you’ll both be careful.” is all you say before they collapse in your arms. and you stand there, reeking of alcohol and cigarettes and the blood of the wound you thought closed up.
“we will, no matter what.”
24.12.2017
you walk into jujutsu high and can’t believe your eyes. you’re tired from killing curses and giving kusakabe a pep-talk every ten minutes, but you don’t think this is all in your mind: smashed cobblestone, holes in the ground. and blood, lots of blood.
you run into the infirmary, shoko’s door flying open as she lets out a half-scream.
“what’s your problem?” she asks, partly annoyed.
“i’m sorry for worrying about my students after i babysat a grown man all day.” you reply, and she laughs, “atsuya again, huh? too bad he’s actually talented, that crybaby persona gets too much somtimes. they’re all safe, yuta used rct on them, but gojo wants to talk to you.” she says.
“is he in the common lobby?” you ask, and she nods approvingly.
when you enter the room, you feel a chill creep up your spine. satoru is still, way too still.
“y/n.”
“satoru.”
he gulps down saliva before asking you the question. “did suguru have daughters?” he says, and you answer, mindless.
“yeah, he has tw—“ then it dawns on you. “satoru?” he sees it too. in the small crack of your voice, some glass shards hitting the linoleum. “satoru, don’t tell me,” you’re on the verge of tears. your throat is dry, stomach doing flips. “oh my god.” you gasp, legs turning into sand, and he rushes to catch you.
“he told me to take care of the three of you, and i didn’t understand and i thought about the crepe girls and then you of course and.. you and.. i… i’m sorry, y/n. i didn’t want it to end like this.” he spits out word after word, boulder rolling off his shoulder, letting himself cry in your embrace.
“no one did, satoru. i’m never gonna blame you for his death, yeah?” your eyes start to water too. he’s still the boy that lost his best friend, you’re still the girl that lost her boyfriend, shoko is still the one that lost a best friend, and you’re all three still teenagers, waiting for someone to guide you through the loss.
you stand like that for a while, until you both calm down.
“thank you.” gojo satoru, the strongest, smiles through tears he’d only ever shown a handful of people.
“thank you, boywonder.” you smile through tears you’d only ever shown a handful of people.
“i have to talk to yaga.” he runs a hand through his hair, exhaling shakily before hugging you goodbye.
you sit down in your chair and watch the sun set. through the window, maki, yuta, panda and inumaki wave at you. you reciprocate, thankful they’re still alive, when all of a sudden your phone rings.
“mom?” the moment you answer, mimiko’s voice cracks on the other end. she usually isn’t one to call, so you’re guessing you know what this is about.
“i’m coming.” you say between your own small shallow breaths, waving the students goodbye through the window once again. you make another quick phone call before leaving campus.
“yes?”
“megumi, gojo’s had a rough day and i can’t spend time with him tonight. shoko also has to do overtime at the morgue. can you keep him company for a bit?”
he sighs. “yeah, i will.”
“thank you.”
“sensei… take care. you’re a great sorcerer…and a great person. just felt like you needed to hear that.”
“thank you, megumi. you too, kiddo.”
31.10.2018
“you know this was reckless, yeah?”
“we’re sorry for keeping you in the dark so long. it’s just — we knew you would’ve stopped us if we told you kenjaku took over geto-sama’s body, and we really want him to have a proper burial.” the brunette clutches her phone to her chest, eyes fixed on the ground.
“we didn’t mean to keep you in the dark so long, but you were already grieving geto-sama for the second time. we didn’t think you’d find out like you did.” mimiko apologizes too, and even though they stand in front of you, apologizing for the biggest mistake they have ever made, you can’t scold them. not when they thought about you, about easing your pain.
“you guys did a stupid thing, that’s all i’m gonna say.” the pause and sigh you take between sentences make them want to burry themselves into the ground, “but i’m not mad, because you did it with good intent.” your voice softens and their gazes come up, meeting your face. “i’m gonna help you, but please wait until i come back.”
their faces lighten as you stroke their hair, stopping when your phone rings.
“ijichi? itadori? alone? shibuya? what’s he doing there? he’s supposed to be in harajuku station with mei ” they read between the words, knowing exactly who this itadori is, “i can’t, i really have enough curses to fight, the meiji-jingu area by itself is packed.” you apologize with gritted teeth and exhausted breath, “i’ll enter the curtain when i’m done, and send you guys some back-up,yeah?”
you look at the twins again, wanting to instinctively crouch down to their level, but they’ve gotten too tall for that. “please, don’t go out. and if you do, be careful, and stay safe. don’t do anything rash.” you say, embracing them both. “i love you two so much.” you hold onto them a bit longer than usual, kissing their cheeks before unlocking the door.
“we love you too.” they say in unison, and smile.
“be careful, yeah? lock the door after i teleport.”
“always.” is the last thing you hear before disappearing.
9.11.2018
“come on, pick up, pick up, pick up…”
you bite your nails in frustration. it’s been a week since the culling game has started, a week since gojo got sealed, since nanami died. since maki got burned. and the biggest act of jujutsu terrorism happened in less than 24 hours under your very noses. a lethal battle royal, where everyone has to kill each other.
it’s been a full week since neither of the twins have contacted you. they don’t respond to their texts either. for mimiko it was normal, she didn’t really use her phone as much as her sister, but when nanako, whose cursed technique is all about using her phone, doesn’t have it, then that’s when you start to worry.
“sensei…” megumi walks up next to you, visibly worried, “who are you looking for? maybe we can help?”
you’ve known megumi ever since gojo found him, and met tsumiki a few times too. you helped gojo train him, something that turned out useful because of your somehow similar cursed techniques: his ten shadows and your use of void space were easy to adapt to the other. you had grown close, especially because of your shared annoyance for his guardian. yet, he never once met your daughters. you would’ve loved to introduce them to each other, mimiko would have been thrilled to have another just as quiet friend of her age and nanako would have loved to bother the two of them. still, you didn’t. you couldn’t, because that would mean explaining to gojo why you have two kids with you and (while still visiting the temple) possibly needing to convince suguru to let you take them out, and even a possible slip-up would’ve meant all hell breaking loose. though sometimes you thought maybe not, since it wasn’t non-sorcerers you were wanting to befriend them with, but it was still too risky. higher-ups had eyes everywhere, and you didn’t want to risk being labeled as foe.
“y/n-sensei, fushiguro’s right!” yuuji chimes in, making you laugh a little bit, “tell us, maybe we’ve seen the person!”
“and once we’re done speaking with master tengen, we can help you search for them.”
“you too, yuki?” you sigh, still spamming the call button.
“that’s tsukumo-senpai to you!” she jokes.
“ugh, someone, take this thing away already! it keeps buzzing way too much!” a hole opens on itadori’s hand, sukuna groaning some curse words and spitting a cell phone out, full of annoyance and disgust.
your heart drops and your mind blurs as you look at it. green, silicone, bunny ears.
“sensei?” yuuta now directs his attention to you too. “sensei, what’s wrong?” he seems worried, and so do the rest of them.
“what’s that?” choso points to the green rectangle on the ground, crouching and flipping it around. they all look at the screen, which reads “mom”.
“that’s a cellphone, choso!” yuki explains.
“that’s — that’s nanako’s cellphone.” you stammer, collapsing to your knees. “yuuji, when— how? this is bad, bad, bad, bad..” you think out loud, voice shakier with every word as you flip the phone from one side to the other. “she-she can’t use her technique without her phone, oh my god. but she’s definitely with mimiko, so maybe they can transfer points to each other, and her combat skills aren’t bad at all, maybe.. ”
“y/n-sensei, i don’t know how that got there.” itadori speaks, almost ashamed.
“i do!” another orifice opens on his hand, grinning. “i killed them.”
everybody’s in shock, you gasp, phone falling on the floor as both your hands cover your mouth.
“the dark haired’s head i blew off, the other’s i sliced.” the curse continues.
“itadori, please make that thing shut up.” maki orders harshly, expression softening when her gaze falls back on you.
“sukuna, this is not the time for jokes.” itadori intervenes.
“i’m not joking. they tried to boss me around, telling me they’ll give me another finger if i kill kenjaku. some brats, trying to command the king of curses around, pfft. i couldn’t give a damn about them wanting that body back or whatever.”
yuki and yuta help you up. megumi stares at you, and choso has partially read the air, pitiful expression plastered across his face. itadori’s head hangs low. yours does too. you don’t blame him, you could never, but you’d like to beat sukuna dead right then and there. exorcize him out of his mind, over and over again. your blood boils, and you feel the cursed energy forming in the pit of your stomach. the ground breaks beneath you, literally, and everybody watches the crack extend into the horizon. you feel like a part of you has died again. the first one died when geto committed mass murder and disappeared off of the face of earth, the second one died when he told you to stop visiting the temple. the third one died on christmas eve, with suguru, and two more parts, the fifth and sixth, died when you found out your girls were dead, a few moments ago. you didn’t even know you had that many in you, but you knew you needed an outlet.
so, you use the only one you have around, that is not fatal to anybody: you let the shards break, you let them explode, allow them to cut you — you scream. you scream, falling to the ground, hands gripping at your hair. and you scream, you scream for nanako and mimiko, for suguru, for satoru, for shoko, for nanami who could’ve escaped his destiny had he not come back, for haibara, for inumaki, for mai, for mechamaru, for nobara who’s fighting death, for the youth you had lost, for the kids that are next to you in this hellhole, for the youth they’ve been stripped of, you scream for your life and scream. and megumi sees one of the women he grew up around losing it, and yuta and itadori see their teacher in shambles, maki sees her role model falling apart; yuki sees the only other special-grade, that’s not a teenager, she has left fighting to not blow up the country, and choso sees a talented sorcerer with a good heart dying inside.
and you scream, you scream until your throat is dry and even dryer and you cough, cough dry, cough blood, cough until you just stop.
megumi kneels down in front of you, and you just stare at him. he looks back at you, eyelashes wet with tears he’d never admit of having shed, silently begging you to not leave him too. he grasps your hands softly like suguru did on the first day you showed up at his temple and pulls you in to hug you. and you see in him the boy suguru used to be, and in all your other students the group of teenagers you built a family with and your heart breaks because they built their own too.
maki kneels down too, and hugs you too, and so does yuta, and although, sheepishly, yuji does that too. choso thinks a bit but megumi nods in approval and he does join, and yuki also circles her arms around you as you cry. deep down you feel and know they’re scared of what you would do, so they hold you down.
megumi never saw you cry once. not because you weren’t a cryer, the three of swords was marked by scalding iron on your heart, but because you never really cried in front of people you didn’t know, or people you didn’t want to perceive you as weak. but he remembers the only time — once, when him and tsumiki were staying over at gojo’s for the weekend — he heard you through the walls. he was eleven, he believes, and he still remembers how you sounded. the memory is sewn into his brain, and whenever he remembers it, his stomach knots and his lymph nodes harden. since then, sometimes, when he saw you smiling, he only thought about what’s kept underneath your smile and your designer clothes and jujutsu records that you broke.
“i raised them, they were my girls too.” you whisper, “they only wanted their dad to have a proper burial, was that really so much to ask for?” your head shakes in disapproval to their fate, “curse users or not, i still carry their picture around in my wallet, i still have every inch of my home full of pictures of them.”
you stop to catch a breath. they’re all still around you, not letting go.
“if it means killing kenjaku, i’ll turn myself into a vengeful spirit if it has to come to that.”

The more I think about Ines's life before she ended up in Kazdel, the more horror-esque my headcanons get.
I don't have a set age for her, but I think she was somewhere in the 10-12 range when Hoederer found her. I also put their meeting to January-February of 1079, which aligns with her 19 years of battle experience and gives me over a year of her life in Leithanien after the Witch King's death to think about.
I think her family were supporters of the Witch King, so they were in trouble once his reign ended and the bloody purge followed. They probably moved around a lot within the next year, until they finally decided to leave the country.
And just imagine how it would feel from little Ines's perspective. The adults in her life probably wouldn't go into too much detail about what was going on, but she could tell something was very wrong thanks to her Arts. And then she started noticing that every time they moved there were more oddities. Perhaps the number of servants around her dwindled over the months. Maybe she brought up some family friend and got a really odd reaction from her parents. What if one night she was awoken and told to just run and to not ask any questions, and she could swear she saw some people in masks on her way to the next safe location.
And all this time she could sense emotions of people around her. She is no mind reader, and I don't think she has a flawless understanding of what she sees in the shadows (on the contrary, I think she would misinterpret some emotions due to her age and inexperience), but she could still tell that there is rising anxiety, that the people who are supposed to take care of her are angry and terrified, and that there is some vague, unseen something that chases them.
And the reason I put her Kazdel misadventures at the start of the year is because I want her last days in Leithanien to be during early December. There is a certain bit of real life Austrian folklore I want to include, namely, the figures of Krampus and Saint Nicholas. I think, on Terra they would be represented by a Sarkaz and a Sankta respectively, and may or may not be a part of pro-Sankta/anti-Sarkaz propaganda.
And, like, little Ines probably never believed in any of the popular childhood characters. She could feel that the people in costumes weren't who they say they were, that Krampus wasn't even played by a real Sarkaz, and that there was no malice when someone would chase the kids to "punish" them. But this was the closest a relatively sheltered child would have for a picture of who Sarkaz were, and this image would be strong due to being one of the last things she experienced in her homeland. And I think it would help her to deal with her attackers. After all, it is easier to hurt someone when they are some fairy tale monsters.
But in reverse it means that she had a harder time reconciling that Sarkaz were indeed people. Ines was likely very sick during her first weeks in Kazdel, and her feverish mind was probably going into different extremes as she was receiving help from the people she saw as inherently evil. One moment she would think "Hoederer is nice, maybe if he covers his ears and doesn't open his mouth he can kinda-sorta pass as a Leithanian", and the next would be "no, no, no he is one of these devils who hurt me, he is an enemy".
And as she would learn to accept the Sarkaz as people, it would strengthen her dysphoria towards her own race. After all, how is she any different from them? She lives under the same roof, eats the same food, shares the same troubles. Back in Leithanien she probably spent most of her time studying things that were mostly useless to her, but in Kazdel life is urgent and from the get-go she was more involved in everything than she ever was before. She was a part of Kazdel and one of its people, so she started trying to be Sarkaz, since this was who she saw herself as.
#Arknights#Ines#Ines Arknights#i also headcanon that her birthday isn't actually 19th of February#rather it is the date she either got to Kazdel or met Hoederer#so it is a more symbolic 'birthday' of Ines the Sarkaz#i have a pretty solid picture in my head about Ines pre-Kazdel#so i decided to write this down#compare this to my Victoria headcanons#where i can't even decide#if i want her to operate fully from the shadows#or to have a fairly visible social life#so she could personally interact with nobles and such#theories and headcanons

I can’t get this scenario out of my head…
Going with My Bratty Sub to the Park
After spending the morning properly hydrating with my babygirl, we take the car to the park at the edge of town. She gave me a little bit of lip since it was raining outside, but I like the rain. I tell her that she’ll just have to deal.
I think we hydrated a little too well, because I can already start to feel it, and the rain isn’t helping. I look over at her as she looks back at me with a pouty face. Nothing more, so perhaps she isn’t feeling it herself yet. Due to the rain, the park is empty when we get there. I get an idea.
“Honey, let’s leave our jackets in the car. I wanna get soaked!” She tries to pout, but a chuckle escapes her lips. We take off our jackets and deposit them before walking in. It isn’t long before we’re totally drenched, and quite cold. I start to think about how nice it would be to warm up my pants… She wouldn’t even know! I stop myself as I remember that I was supposed to be providing an example for her. If I can hold, she can hold.
We arrive at a park bench at the same moment that the sun breaks out from behind the clouds, and the rain disappears. I’m starting to feel desperate, so I sit her down and we make out in order to take my mind off of it. I can feel by the way that her body is moving that she must be really wet by now, naughty little thing. That reminded me, she put on a heavy pad before we left the house! She said she didn’t want me to know she’d peed until it was more than just a couple drops or a spurt.
I felt as if devil horns were growing out of my head as I gave her an especially evil grin. Her eyes got wide as she said, “what? What are you about to do?” I stood up and pulled her up with me, and I bent down to whisper in her ear, “unzip your jeans, Honey.” “NOT FAIR!” She pouted.
As she unzipped her jeans, I unzipped mine. The newly warm air was surprisingly pleasant on my cock; I took a deep shuddering breath. I had to be sure that I could control it. Just a little bit to take the edge off. I could do that…
I pulled her closer by the waistband of her panties, and saw that she was indeed wet, but only in the way I allowed at the moment. Not for long though… I stuffed my semi-hard cock down until I could feel the pad, and her lips. Mmmmfff. Then I try to relax.
I always get so aroused when I do things like this, and that always makes it harder, but finally I feel it come. Fuuuuuck. It felt soooo good. I think I can get away with another one. Oh shit. That may have been too much… Her pad feels very full. I hold very still and squeeze, trying not to let another singular drop out.
She feels all of this happening and suddenly her facade drops. She’s squirming all around, mumbling about how it’s unfair that I get to do this and she doesn’t. I pull her face up by her chin. “Honey, you’re doing such a good job right now.” I feel her relax onto me as she lets out a sigh and a grin grows out of her frown. Then I feel her tense back up again as a little warmth grows on top of my cock, and her face begins to turn red. She looks up at me sheepishly, and I begin to lose control. I feel like I turn into an animal whenever this happens, but I can’t stop it. Suddenly her pants are around her ankles, followed swiftly by her now wet panties.
I rut into her without any warning, but she was ready for me, the horny little thing. My cock was just wet and warm, but this was a completely different feeling. Total ecstasy… This time we came together, and I shot my seed deep inside her. She moaned in satisfaction as she felt me throb while every bit of my load was dumped into her wet little cunt. I told her how proud of her I was, not pissing herself as I thrusted into her again and again. We righted our clothes and sat down on the bench again, this time with her on my lap, turned towards me so we could continue mashing our flushed faces together.
It was just in time too, because a cute young couple turned the corner at that very moment. They picked up their pace because our fervent kissing made them uncomfortable. Silly kids. They were probably the only ones, because it looked like it was going to rain again. Shortly after they passed, it did. Soon we were soaking wet again, and the rain reminded me that I had a very full bladder. The young couple soon ran past us on their way to the parking lot, giving us a funny look. My attention turned back to my little troublemaker quickly due to the Hickey she was planting on my neck. I stifle a groan and a simultaneous gasp as my lap starts to get warm. How could I lose control! I realized that I hadn’t when I heard hear moan her relief into my ear.
Thank fuck I thought, as I slowly relaxed and let my flow go as well. I cannot describe how good it felt, other than to share that I moaned, and groaned, and sighed, “ffffuuuuuuuuuuuccckkkk” into my baby’s ear. We basked in the warmth until it was gone, and then we got up and walked back to the car.
“Thank you soooo much for finally taking me to the park today, Daddy,” she said, “ I told you we’d have a good time.” I bent down and kissed her on top of her head. “That’s my girl,” I whispered through a grin.
Thank you for reading 😘

You and Chloe had everything planned for tonight. When you were talking on the phone to discuss the details you decided to have a movie night with some alcohol. You bought some wine, chips and sweets for you and your friend to have some snacks. Feeling of excitement was huge about finally seeing your friend after such a long time. You showed up at Chloe’s door about seven pm ringing a bell to her door. After few seconds the door were open and Chloe lean out from behind of it.
“Oh my god hi girl, so good to finally see you.” she enveloped you in a big hug wrapping her hands around your neck.
“Hi Chloe, long time no see.” you hugged her back. With a gesture of her hand she invited you inside and you stepped in.
After two hours you two were slightly drunk and making fun comments over character that was on the screen of tv during the movie.
“So tell me Chloe, some time ago you were taking to me on the phone about that guy you were working with that just have some attitude and always have something to tell and joke about. What was his name again? Lucian?” You asked her taking other sip from glass of wine.
“Lucifer to be exact. His name is Lucifer.” on her face appeared frown and she raised her brows. “Why you asking?”
“Just asking. You like him?” Hint of concern could be felt coming from your lips.
“Of course I like him. I work with him. He’s my partner.” she responded and nervously began to rub her hands against her thighs.
“You know that’s not what I meant. Is he that handsome that it’s bothering you?” you got up from the couch and headed to the kitchen to pour yourself another glass of wine since you finished the last one.
“Please stop. He’s definitely not my type. He’s arrogant, has got a big ego and always have that stupid smile on his face every time we go somewhere.” She folded her arms over her chest and rolled her eyes.
“Oh I hope I’ll meet him someday. I want to know who’s working with my best friend.” you winked at her and laughed along Chloe.
“Some day for sure.” Chloe was praying that this whole Lucifer topic will end with that. “Tell me you have someone?” She tried to change the topic of that conversation.
“Of course not. Some time ago I had a date with this guy named Brian but it didn’t go well and I lost hope for finding someone.” You said going back to couch and putting your glass on the coffee table that was in front of you. “Listen I’m gonna go and change because this jeans are so uncomfortable and I’m losing my shit with them” You grabbed your bag and went to bathroom to change. You picked your normal pjs which were just crop top with caption ‘Satan is my daddy’ on it and black bottoms.
“Oh Jesus Y/N what a shirt” Chloe blurted as soon as she saw you.
“It’s just a crop top Chloe. Can you just chill? We are already drinking a second bottle of wine and you still seem so stressed about something.” You declared after seeing her sitting so tense. One of the movies you’ve chosen was still playing in the room and none of you was watching it so Chloe switched it to music channel.
“Y/N I’m so sorry. I know I screwed this up. I’ve been stressed about work and Trixie and I don’t know what to do. I hoped I will invite you, we will have fun together after long time and this feelings would go away, but I guess it doesn’t go away and I can’t have fun. I messed up” she sighed and got up from the couch to just stand in front of you having her hands on your shoulder.
“We’re all humans after all, Chloe. I get it and I understand. You don’t have to worry. We can talk about it if you want and we still have time to make it fun. Go get change into your pj’s and and I’m expecting you turning back with a smile on your face.” You smirked to her and went up to set new snacks on coffee table.
When Chloe returned she didn’t have time to say anything because the bell from the door rang immediately.
“Did you invite anyone else?” You asked curiously.
“Of course not. Just you and me. No one else.” She added going to the door to check who was that. You were just standing right behind her.
She opened the door and Chloe saw the the last person she wanted to see today.
“What are you doing here?” She hissed and it was obvious that she didn’t want that person’s presence. You still couldn’t see who that person was.
“Oh don’t be so rude detective. I was in the neighbourhood and I thought that I’ll stop by with a visit.” You heard men’s strong deep voice with a British accent.
Chloe was so tired of this. She didn’t have strength to fight with that man and let him in and then you saw him. The man was a lot taller than you, shit he towered over you. You were so shock seeing that handsome man that you though that you were having a hallucinations seeing a Greek god. He had pitch black hair with little stubble. His hazel brown eyes were twisting into yours like he wanted to see every inch of your soul. Of course his devilish smile was there too to give him another hundred points to looking too fuckin’ good. He was dressed in fancy black suit and black button up that hugs his body so perfectly. You could see from distance that under all that suit he must be having a nice, trained body. Is that legal to look that handsome? You though to yourself.
“Bloody hell detective, I didn’t know you were having a company.” He sent you an evil grin and came into your way. Chloe stood there and she was about to say something when that man spoke to you.
“Hi, my name is Lucifer. Lucifer Morningstar.” He stepped closer to you and took your hand in his. He kissed the top of your hand.
“Like the devil?” You asked and you didn’t know if to laugh or to start panicking.
“Don’t bring my dad into this darlin’. Yeah, like the devil.” He still was having that smirk that could knock you off of your feet by any second. “And you are?”
“I’m Y/N” you gulped suddenly feeling naked under Lucifer’s gaze.
“Oh that’s a real beautiful one” he responded and lean in just to be few centimetres away from your figure. He took one of strands of your hair and put them behind your ear whispering to you. “I really like your shirt baby.”
You wanted to say something, anything but you just couldn’t. You didn’t want to believe that is was that guy Lucifer that you were asking Chloe about.
“Okey enough, Lucifer. Leave Y/N alone. What do you want?” Chloe closed the door behind him and asked Lucifer with frown on her face and furrowed brows. She had her hands on her hips and she really looked like she was not in the mood for such things.
“I said loud and clear I came just to check on you, but now as I see your friend I might want something.” He chuckled and looked at you again. You were so intimidated by his presence that you were looking down at the floor in that moment with blush creeping onto your cheeks.
“Can you stop being the perv that you actually are? If you don’t stop you’ll have to leave.” She urged staying in the hallway. Chloe really was pissed off.
“Okey dokey.” Lucifer raised his hands up in a gesture of surrender and he stepped back from you and went to the living room and you and Chloe follow along.
“Okey ladies, let’s start the night properly” Lucifer loud voice echoed through the room and you already had known that you gonna regret it later.
Chloe told you and Lucifer that she had enough of drinking and that’s it. She was not the one to convince so you and Lucifer were left to the alcohol that still was in the house. After another two bottles of wine and another two hours later in the night Chloe’s phone started buzzing and within moments she went to grab it and answered the call leaving the room. You knew you two were pretty drunk but you could still manage with yourself. Lucifer on the other hand after that two hours ended up with his shirt half unbuttoned and messed up hair after you challenged him to do so. You couldn’t get your eyes off of him sitting like that with his legs spread out and your whole body was screaming to straddle his lap. You though you were going to drool yourself at sight of his muscular torso. You felt pretty damn wet in your panties after sights like this.
“Guys I’m leaving for now. I’ll be right back but Dan called me saying that Trixie is burning up and probably having a fever. I’m going to pick her up. I have already ordered a taxi. Please don’t do something stupid. Y/N, I’m counting on you” Chloe shouted to you putting on her shoes, already changed and slumming her front door shut.
“Guess we have some time alone sweetheart.” Black-haired man said to you turning his head towards you. He put one of his massive hands on your thigh and you sighed after his touch touching your sensitive skin. Your knees were touching and you felt shiver running down your spine. His face was millimetres away from yours. The pad of his thumb running across your bottom lip making you tremble. Your breath hitched as Lucifer smirked at you.
“What do you say baby girl? I know you want me.” He seductively admitted. His deep voice echoing through your years. You felt like you were in trance. Thoughts and consequences be damned, you wanted him more than you’d ever wanted anything, and fuck anything that was in your way.
His thumb moving away from your lips as he was leaning in closer to you. His lips ghosting over yours. His hands cupped your face with his two hands caressing your cheeks. Both of you starred at each other. Your eyes fluttered closed as Lucifer laid his lips on yours. He kissed you passionately, your lips moving in sync. Lucifer’s eyes fluttering closed as well. He grabbed a hold of your hair pulling at them causing a moan felt from your lips as the kiss began to got deeper and needer. You decided to make a move and straddle his lap. His fingers moved from your jaw to your hips digging into them harshly. Your fingers quickly unbuttoned the rest of the buttons on his shirt. Your hands didn’t waste time to trail down his muscular torso what made him groan into the kiss. You broke the kiss first moving your head down towards his exposed chest, pressing your lips against it. You trailed wet, sloppy kisses down his chest, then down towards his stomach. Stopping above the waistline of his pants. Lucifer smirked down at you, as you got on your knees. Looking up at him, as you undid the button of his pants, then unzipped the zip pulling his pants down, as well as his boxers, you freed his growing bulge. Lucifer let out a hiss, as his cock sprang up, while you bit your lip. You stared at his big cock in awe making your way back to the couch to sit next to him.
“You like what you see baby girl? Would you like daddy’s cock in your tight, little pussy of yours? He asked grabbing a firm hold of your jaw making you look him straight into his eyes.
“Hell yes, please daddy” you said arching your back to get some friction from your actions.
Lucifer lowered you to the mattress, your back met the rough material of the living room’s couch. It felt so inviting, so intimidating. You wanted that so badly, your entire body screamed for pleasure. You felt air leave your lungs because of the handsome man has begun to kiss your neck. Your chest were heaving, you raised a hand to the base of his neck and held him there as he sucked strong marks onto your skin. Little moan left you, while your body began to surrender to him.
“You’ll be in hell soon darlin’. Sorry baby but this shirt needs to get out with rest of your clothes but it’s so beautiful and welcoming.” He quickly made you get rid of your clothes quickly. When Lucifer bended down while still keeping his brown eyes locked with yours his tongue swiped a lick atop your breast, then immediately took your stiffened tit in his mouth to suck. His other hand worked on massaging your other breast and you forgot about everything around you and let your body take over as your mouth produced another groan. That’s when he decided to pull your nipple lightly in between his teeth.
“Oh, fuck,” you exhaled the curse in ecstasy.
“Naughty girl aren’t you.” Lucifer grinned, but his tone suggested he’s aroused with your language. His hand ran down the plane of your stomach and slipped down to feel your pulsing desire. You could see it in his eyes how pleased he is at the amount of slickness he felt coating his fingers. He toyed with your clit in deliberately slow circles, and you whined at his touch while moving your hips to receive more stimulation. But Lucifer’s fingers went on to explore further inside you, and you couldn’t hold back the gasp that left your lips as he began to stretch you. He bended down again so that his face is above yours, cologne so strong yet soothing. Lucifer’s kisses were hot and needy. His tongue made a reappearance and became acquainted with yours. Your next gasp bled into a groan into his mouth when he added another finger.
“Yeah, please daddy, I want your cock so bad inside me.” you practically begged.
His fingers may be removed from your sopping heat, but in their place, Lucifer’s bending cock slided between your legs to coat it with your wet pussy. Dark haired man finally entered you. Your back lifted off the bed as you let out a lust-filled cry. It was a tight and delicious fit with your muscles constricting around his eager girth. The man’s lips twisted up at the sound and creates his own unbridled groan.
“Spread your legs wide, babydoll. Take the devil all in.” He was so big you didn’t even know how you can adjust, but your body found a way to relax enough for Lucifer to slide in deeper.
Your eyes squeezed shut at how he stretched you fully, but your voice begged him to move, to give you more. He went on to create a steady rhythm with his hips and all with that filthy comments on how tight and perfect you felt around him. You made another desperate noise as you continue your ascent, which prompts him to ask between grunts, “Speak, love. What do you need from daddy?”
“Your big hands with your fingers daddy” you somehow told with filling voice your need amidst your hedonistic sounds.
“It’s going to the direction I didn’t know it’s going” Lucifer laughed with devilish smirk upon his face.
It was what you need after all, the extra stimulation to bring you closer and closer to what could be the strongest orgasm of your life. In a series of ‘yes’s and curses, you reached another plane of existence. Flashes of white light grew behind your eyes while your mouth widened. Lucifer, in turn, exhaled a shaky and pleasurable moan as your body repeatedly constricted and pulled around his cock.
“Oh shit, doll, just right there.” He came inside you, hot and fast, and you feel the descent of your high flow through you. Every part of you was warm and exhilarated and thoroughly pleased. When Lucifer pulled out from you, he rolled over back onto the couch. His grin read that his own desires have been fulfilled. You knew you got yourself into a deep shit and there’s no way going back.

Making Bets | Seo-Joon [True Beauty] x Gender Neutral!Reader
summary: making bets with your boyfriend Seo-Joon was NEVER a good idea, but when a no kiss bet with a promise of a week of dates comes up, how could you refuse?
word count: 2280
a/n: sorry i’ve been so absent! it’s been really hard to finish writing anything i’ve started recently but i’ve got something in the works i hope you all enjoy! :D <3
———————————————-
Making bets with Han Seo-joon was never a good idea. But, when the prize was a full week where the winner gets to choose a week of dates… how could I say no.
“y/n I don’t get why you said yes to this bet, we all know you can’t even last through first period without a kiss from Seo-joon.” Soo-a said as she cuddled further into Tae-hoon’ side on the bench across the lunch table, “yah, we all know you guys are all over each other whenever possible,” Tae-hoon groaned out leaning his head on Soo-a’, “speak of the devil.” looking up from shuffling food around my tray I saw Seo-joon approaching the table trailing just behind Ju-kyung and Soo-ho’s linked arm forms looking a little more than disgruntled at the couple walking in front of him.
“Hello love birds, how nice of you to grace us with your presence on this fine monday morning.” Tae-hoon teased as the other couple sat next to me, Seo-joon taking the last spot to the right of Soo-a, across from me.
“What Seo-joon, not going to kiss your partner hello?” Soo-ho joked as he kissed Ju-Kyung’ cheek before picking food up from his plate and feeding her.
“Morning.” Seo-joon whispered, barely sparing me a glance before looking back at his tray. “Morning babe.” I whispered back.
“So y/n...I heard you and Seo-joon made a bet over the weekend. What’s up with that?” Ju-Kyung asked pushing her hair over her shoulder and turning my way, “oh,” clearing my throat, “Well, Seo-joon's friends were complaining over the weekend about how much we kiss each other in front of them, so we decided to make a bet on how long we could go without kissing each other, and whoever caves in first loses. But, the winner gets to decide a full week of dates the loser has to pay for.” I stated.
“OOO! That sounds fun! We both know you guys though, and we know you both wont last 3 days!” Soo-a joked, causing the rest of the table to laugh, “what plans do you have to win?” she continued.
“Well, I’m not sure to be honest,” I chuckled running a stressed hand through my hair, “I think I’m just going to try and focus on something else other than kissing him, even though that’s going to be hard.” I said laughing a little, sticking my tongue out at Seo-joon just to tease him.
“Well if you need any help y/n just let us know, Ju-kyung and I would be happy to help!” Soo-a said, as everyone returned to their lunches.
--------------------------------------------------
“y/n it’s been 2 days and you’re already starting to annoy us with all your whining about missing your ‘sweet precious Seo-joon’” Soo-jin joked, making a silly whiny voice at the end causing the other girls around the table with us to laugh at her terrible impression of me.
“Ya Soo-ho has been telling me about how annoying Seon-joon has been about this whole bet thing and he’s just about ready to kill him.” Ju-kyung laughed.
Sighing I took a sip of my milkshake, “I know, we’re so annoying but I don’t know what to do, I really miss him, but I don’t want to have to pay for all the dates we’d be going on.”
“Well why don’t you try to seduce him?” Soo-jin started, “I mean you’re closing at your work tomorrow right? Why don’t you invite him over for a late night swim after you close? I mean your boss shouldn’t mind if you don’t tell them right?”
“That’s,,,that’s not a bad idea Soo-jin.”
“Ya! And you can ask him tomorrow at school in front of all his friends! He’d be crazy to say no in front of them! especially to a makeout session in a pool!” Ju-Kyung reasoned, Soo-a shaking her head in agreement at our master plan.
“Alright then! Tomorrow at school.” I stated, taking the last sip of my milkshake.
--------------------------------------------------
“Hey baby.” I said walking right up to Seo-joon in the hallway, effectively stopping Seo-joon and his posse in their tracks.
“Oh, uhh, hey honey, how’s it going?” Seo-joon said, startled by my sudden appearance in front of him.
“Hey y/n!” one of Seo-joons friends said cheerfully. Paying his friend no mind I started to lean in closer to Seo-joon, causing him to lean his head back to avoid mine.
“So listen, I was thinking about going swimming at my work later? My boss is letting me close alone tonight since I’ve got the late shift?” I said leaning in closer with each sentence. Looking into Seo-joon's widened eyes at my statement.
Hearing his friends muffled laughing from behind him, he cleared his throat composing himself, “thanks for the offer baby but uh- i'm busy tonight.” he said hurriedly, before pushing past me and making his way into the classroom behind us, sitting at his desk hiding his flushed face and trying to ignore his friends teasing.
Looking over to Soo-a and Ju-Kyung I shook my head. Soo-a's expression turned to one of disappointment and Ju-Kyung letting out a hufft that our plan hadn’t worked.
--------------------------------------------------
“Soo-aaaaaa, our plan didn’t wooorrrrkk.” I whined, placing my head on my hand and leaning against the lunch table, “I don’t know what I'm supposed to do anymore, it’s been 6 days and I miss him.”
“y/n dude we know you miss him but you gotta stop talking about how much you miss him, it’s all you’ve been talking about since this whole bet started.” Tae-hoon complained.
“Listen, it’s not my fault that he’s so perfect and that every time I see him I just wanna kiss his perfect lips.” I whined my head slipping down my arm as I stared at Seo-joon from across the lunch room.
“Well if I were you and I wanted to avoid kissing my boyfriend I would just ignore him until he gives in.” Ju-kyung said between mouthfuls of rice and meat off of her lunch tray, “thanks babe.” Soo-ho said sarcastically as he looked at Ju-kyung blank faced, “no problem honey, only telling you the truth.” She joked before giving him a quick kiss on the lips, which he gladly accepted.
“I hate you guys and your cute-and-able-to-kiss-each-other, relationships.” I sighed, “well I guess ignoring him until he gives in isn’t such a bad idea.”
-------------------------------------------------
“Hey baby.” Seo-joon whispered as he placed his arm above me on the wall leaning in. “h-hey Seo-joon, how-how’s your day been?” I stuttered out trying to look him in the eyes, “My day’s better now that I've seen you.” He stated, gently lifting my face to properly look him in the eyes. “Listen honey, I have to get going to class but how about after school I take you to that book store you’ve been begging me to take you to”,
“Y-yeah, that would be nice thanks.”
“Good.” He leaned in to kiss me, feeling his warm breath fan across my face, causing me to flush. Closing my eyes I waited for the final push of his lips against mine, but instead felt the cold take the place of his warm breath as he suddenly pulled away his light laughter mixing with the small snickers of his friends watching the interaction, “see ya later baby.” he stated walking off down the hallway, his friends chasing after him, congratulation him on the little stunt he pulled on me. Seeing Ju-kyung, Soo-a and Soo-jin shaking their heads out of the corner of my eye, Soo-jin tutted “using your own tactic against you, that’s evil. but, man, you’ve got it bad for that boy. Good luck paying for all those dates.”
“I’m gonna have to try a lot harder to ignore him if he’s going to keep pulling stunts like that.” I sighed.
------------------------------------------------
It’s been 8 days since the bet had started, and it hadn’t gotten any easier to not kiss him. We’ve been effectively avoiding each other, this afternoon at school being the first time we’ve spoken since last thursday.
“Thanks for paying my bus fee. You didn’t have to do that” I thanked Seo-joon awkwardly as we took a seat at the very back of the bus.
“Of course, you’re my partner, you think I'd make you pay your own bus fee?” he laughed lightly, reaching out for my hand. Quickly yanking my hand away from his grasp I cleared my throat fixing my uniform shirt, looking away before I could get drawn back in by him.
“How was your day? You know besides great because now you’re seeing me.” he joked trying to drag my gaze away from the window to my left, “it was fine thanks, boring but you know how it is, stressed for the test on friday though.” I tried to joke, switching my gaze from the window to my fingers, playing with the hem of my dressshirt.
Sitting in awkward silence for the rest of the bus ride, we finally arrived at the small corner bookstore Ju-kyung recommended I check out.
“You know I could have just driven us here on my motorcycle right?”
“Well yeah but you know how I feel about your motorcycle, you’re gonna get killed on that think Seo-joon.” I joked, knocking his shoulder lightly, trying to lighten the mood from the tense bus right here. “Here let me get that for you.” Seo-joon said softly as he grabbed the door handle pulling it open for me to enter the warmth of the small store.
“Ah welcome!” the man at the front desk said as he pulled his headphones up from his neck to cover his ears, “FEEL FREE TO LOOK AROUND.” he yelled over the blasting rock music coming from his headphones.
Seo-joon and I quickly thanked him before walking further into the winding stacks of manga, making sure to be well out of earshot before bursting into fits of giggles over the yelling of the man at the front desk, calming down slightly before hearing him knock over a drink and letting out a few loud curses, throwing us back into our fits of giggles, leaning in Seo-joon's warmth trying to calm down.
Pulling away from him I cleared my throat before making my way further into the store fixing my uniform sweater to try and calm my warming face. Hearing Seo-joon clear his own throat before following a few steps behind me.
Running my fingers softly over the spines of manga looking for a title that grabbed me, I scanned the bookshelf spotting a title I recognized. “Seo-joon look!” I spoke excitedly pointing to the book I recognized on the top shelf, “My sister and I used to read them when we were younger, we would fight over our single copy for hours trying to read it before the other was able to.” I laughed lightly at the memory, not noticing Seo-joon's soft gaze watching me ramble about my childhood. Reaching up to try and grab the book I switched to standing on my tiptoes stretching my arm up as far as possible mumbling to myself, cursing my parents for making me so short. Just as I felt my finger tips brush the cracked spine of the manga a large hand came out of my right field vision grabbing the book off the shelf for me. “Ah thank you baby.” I thanked Seo-joon turning to him, reaching out for the book he still held in his much larger hands, however being slightly startled at how close he was actually standing to me.
Standing still for a few moments just looking at each other I broke the silence, “thanks for grabbing that for me. Could I please have the book now?” my voice coming out in barely a whisper. Not getting any sort of response from Seo-joon I asked him, “Seo-joon? What’s wrong ba-” not being able to get through the full sentence before feeling the breath knocked out of me as Seo-joon pressed his lips against mine, effectively ending the bet in one, beautiful, breathtaking, sweet kiss.
Pulling back after a few moments to catch out breath I looked up at him, eyes slightly closed still relishing in the feeling of the kiss we shared, a soft warm light coming from the shop's eclectic lighting fixtures, haloing him making him look more ethereal than I have ever seen him. “Sorry I didn’t ask you if I could kiss you, but I just saw you rambling about the book you were passionate about, and you look so cute with your hair falling in front of your face like it is,” he whispered lovingly pushing a strand of hair out of my sight, “and I just realized. I love you.” he stated, taking a deep breath in waiting for my reaction to his first confession.
Looking at me worriedly waiting for my reaction. “I love you too Seo-joon” I whispered, standing on my tiptoes, burying my face in his neck embarrassed at the first proper confession of our love for each other. Feeling Seo-joon smile into my neck he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer into his warm body, standing back, flat on my feet he buried me further into his chest, the both of us relishing in the warmth the others love provided.
“You know, I think our first date this week should be the movies tomorrow.” I started to laugh, feeling his chest rumble beneath my head he sighed lightly,
“You’re going to drain my bank account dry this week with these dates aren’t you?”
“Hahaha! Maybe I am. It’s only because I love you though.”
“I love you too”

Bewitched
I say fuck writing schedule m’rite hahaHa...
Dynamic: Yan!witch hunter x witch darling
Summary: You get captured by the village’s witch hunter but he might just let you live if you prove to be useful.
tw: nsfw, non-con, threats, mention of religous themes (God, Devil, etc), kindapping, obsessive/possessive behavior, slight violence, degradation, vulgar language
You could hear something. It was different from the sweet songs of the birds early in the morning or the restless howl of the wolves just before the clock hit midnight. And the smell was different too. There were no daisies, roses, magnolia or herbs to cleanse the air from the nasty smell of humans. Your clothes reeked of someone unknown, someone mortal and cruel, foolish down to their heart. Your hands were tightly bound, your shoulders pushed back in a way it was hard to feel the energy running in your own veins. There was a leather blindfold over your eyes, dulling your senses until you felt like nothing more than an animal trapped in a cage. As soon as despair managed to find its way into your lungs he entered the room and you knew instantly it had been him who had captured you.
"You are awake." The man noted quietly as his heavy yet careful steps got louder, closer. Soon his hand was resting on your thigh, drawing small pictures, initials, anything to throw you off balance and keep your mind closed and your inner vision too blurry to focus more on killing him and less on the shame his touch brought. "The village paid me to kill you. We know you are a filthy creature of the night." He spoke trough his teeth in a eery, off-putting way. You could feel the cold sharp end of his silver dagger poking at your exposed collarbone, near to your neck. One inch away from a fatal wound, one move away from taking your life forever.
"Go on then." You taunted the hunter while licking your scarlet lips, your heartbeat still violent with no sign of slowing down any time soon. "Kill me." You whispered despite the fear tearing at your insides like a wild beast. The blade suddenly pressed harder against your skin, enough to make you still frozen but lacking the actual strength to pierce. The human knelt down next to you, never dropping the deadly weapon from its sacred spot on your vulnerable neck. "You are a witch. The Devil's own spawn and blood. I just can't let you live among us." The man uttered quickly like a curse yet made no attempt to move the edge deeper. And you wanted to tell him everything about the sisterhood and the way all of you lived in peace and quiet until the villagers started killing off your friends for existing. The way you loved nature and harmony and despised violence, but of course the human would never listen to a dirty sorceress, a witch. So you just stayed there motionless on the ground, reconciled with your terrifying fate and its twisted ways.
Meanwhile the hunter let the dagger penetrate into the warm flesh, drawing a few drops of fresh blood, and it dripped onto the floor like a brook of suffering. But the man was hesitating - his palms were sweaty and his eyes were hazy, he was unsure. After a few painful moments of indecisiveness he finally pulled the blade away and threw it in the dark corner of the room. The following silence filled the space with tension so heavy it could suffocate until the villager opened his mouth. "You have seduced me with this unholy body of yours." Adam said sternly and clenched his fists. "That's why I can't kill you." His voice was low and dangerous yet desperate and defeated. "I saw you back then in the forest." He started off as his hand traveled to your cheek and stroked it gently. "You were dancing around and picking flowers. You looked so pure and beautiful - like an angel. I couldn't stop watching you." The hunter confessed quietly and you felt his cold lips on yours. The kiss was bitter, soaked with the humiliation of his advances and the knowledge he had you at his mercy. "Damn your evil magic for making me feel this way". The man dragged his teeth through your lower lip and bit down in anger, moaning into the forced act of fake intimacy.
He pushed you down aggressively, the ropes digging into your bruised flesh even more now. You couldn't move your limbs at all and you felt too tired to argue or yell at the man. It was clearer than a day that he was obsessed with you but it was far from your doing. If you had known just how easily humans became fascinated by beauty and youth you would have thought twice before using their forest as a home. And as much as you wanted to curse the cruel man forever your heart just couldn't let you harm someone with a beating heart. You were stuck and he was touching you everywhere with a palm so warm it felt like wax on your sensitive skin. Your long black dress was ripped to shreds and all the red beads from your necklace were rolling on the floor as a mockery to your title. You were stripped down to your bones and left with nowhere to hide from the monster trying to break you. The energy in your body was gray and filthy, too weak to do more than upset you even further.
"I am going to make you mine tonight. I will use you like the dirty pagan slut you are." Adam cupped your breasts together in a swift move and you shivered at the contact of flesh. His words were painful and didn't help ease the fact that it was the first time someone had touched you in such a private place. In no time your eyes had filled with tears you were too proud to spill but too scared to hold back. "Aww, are you crying, wench? Go on, cry some more for me. When I'm done with you no one will want you. You'll be ruined for anyone other than me." He cooed at you and took hold of your naked legs, spreading them apart which caused you to break down in a pitiful mess of tears, snot and hushed breathes. "You should be greatful I am letting you live. If you weren't so beautiful I would have killed you in an instance." The hunter kept going, his voice low and deprived, his hot fingers brushing against your belly, the disgusting feeling in your guts making your chest tighten, caging your bleeding heart inside. "You are lucky I like taming wild animals." He continued harshly, a crazy look in his enlarged pupils so blue and clear, yet so intimidating and suffocating to its victims.
You inhaled sharply in a desperate attempt to calm your nerves and begged the villager with any strength left in your trembling body. "Please stop, please, for the love of the universe, just don't do it, just let me go and you shall never see me again." In reply the man simply smirked maliciously and licked his lips as he positioned himself over your open, exposed folds. His hands were rough and grabby, roaming over your frame and groping, digging, pinching every little curve. You prayed to both nature and the Gods above someone would come and take you away from this nightmare but to no avail. "No one will save you, witch. If they find you, you're dead, so you better be nice and quiet like a corpse while I take you." Adam spat out with poison and without any warning thrust his massive manhood into your tight entrance. The pain was sharp and piercing, white and hot. This time you started crying out loud in despair finally having realized you were truly alone. The humans wanted nothing more than to see you burn and now you were getting punished for being different.
The man didn't spare you any moment of suffering. He would place wet kisses all over your body, bite at the soft flesh until red and scratch any time he felt the need to hear your miserable whines. "Look at the way I'm splitting you open on my cock, you are so damn tight. I wouldn't have guessed you were a virgin if you weren't bleeding like a little bitch." Adam chuckled darkly and hit your cervix over and over again until the pain turned into something else you were too ashamed to name. "If you ever try to tempt someone else with this sinful body of yours I'll fucking kill you." The man cursed under his breath and brought two finger over your clit, stroking it gently and drawing cicles. You threw your head back at the sudden jolt of pleasure and closed your eyes, trying to distance your mind from what was being forcefully done to your anatomy.
"You feel so good around my cock, so pretty with your tits bouncing every time I pound into you. I love you so much." The hunter suddenly uttered as he slowed down the pace, driving into you with careful thrusts before going back to roughly shoving his length into your sensitive hole. "Say it back." He ordered lowly and smashed his lips on yours pushing his wet tongue all the way in, his hands messaging your breasts and toying with the stiff little nipples on top. You gained the courage to shake your head no so the villager wrapped his fist around your slender neck, giving it a light squeeze as a warning. You had no choice but to mumble a soft "I love you." when your survival instincts took over your dignity. Your sweet broken voice was enough to send the man over the edge and he came violently in your tight channel while whsipering all sorts of terrible, filthy words into your ear.
You thought the torture was finally over but your hopes were quickly shattered when Adam pressed his fingers over your overestimulated bud and flicked it around, your mind finding it hard to copperhead the intense pleasure after the pain. "Cum for me, wench." He commanded you harshly and kept playing with your love button until your pussy clamped down and you experienced your first orgasm at the hands of a filthy, egotistical human.
The male stroked your hair gently but still didn't move to undo the ropes keeping you restrained on the hard floor. "I've always wanted you." The hunter admitted in the next moment. You wondered whether you wanted him to shut up or keep rambling to distract you from the shame and humiliation. Your eyes were red and puffy from the sobbing and your head pulsated with dull pain. "I'll never let them catch you." Adam reassured you quietly as he drew small circles on your arm with his knuckles. "I will keep you forever, my love. It doesn't matter that you have succumbed to the Devil because from now own you are only going to serve me." He kissed your neck softly.
"I'll become your God."

“The Devil all the time”
Hunter!Tom x Demon!Reader
Supernatural AU
NSFW
Warnings: Smut
"Break the silence, damn the dark
Damn the light..."
The Chain - Fleetwood Mac
Forget everything you thought you knew, you had every reason to be afraid of the dark when you were a kid. In this world where monsters are real, the Holland brothers hunt them so normal people can continue to live in the bliss of ignorance.
But when something goes terribly wrong, Tom will do anything to save his brother's life, including selling his soul to the devil. Well... Not exactly the devil, but close enough.
You don't need to watch Supernatural to read this AU
MY MASTERLIST
He knew it was you, even before turning. He knew it as soon as he heard your deceptively delicate footsteps break the supernatural silence that had fallen over the forest the moment he had buried the little metal box in the old crossroad. Tom didn't want to think about what it meant, having such an intimate knowledge of you to be able to recognize you by the cadence of your steps, being so in sync with you that he could tell whenever you were in the vicinity.
So he used his favorite deflection technique whenever it came to you.
"Y/n? What's a nice girl like you doing in a place like this? Sorry, did I say nice girl? I meant evil skank"
The insult didn't phase you. None ever did. It was hard to take them seriously when you knew how many nights he fell asleep with your name on his lips, after pathetically releasing himself into his own hand, or fucking his boring girl-next-door girlfriend, chasing orgasm over unsatisfactory orgasm that would never completely satiate him. Because it wasn't your face the one contorted in pleasure looking up at him from the mattress.
"You called. I came" You batted your lashes, sweetly. "I always come when you call…"
He gulped, the innuendo not lost to his ears. It threw him off guard, like it always did.
"I would have thought this would be… beneath you" Tom cleared his throat, looking away, trying to regain his footing, "collecting a deal, like a vulgar crossroad demon"
There was nothing vulgar about the soul of a Holland. But he didn't need to know that, so you just shrugged,
"Queen Rowena has an interest in you boys. She finds you entertaining. I'm just being a good subdit"
He scoffed,
"Funny. I would have never peg you for a sub"
You took a step closer to him.
"You don't have what it takes to make me submit, Holland" Your hot breath fanned over his skin, setting his skin on fire. Making his blood boil. You had a way of doing that, of bringing out the worst in him. Of making him lose control. And you thoroughly enjoyed it, poking at the bear until the claws came out, laughing at the carnage.
Another step, and you could physically feel it: The hate, radiating from his every pore, his mind screaming with it. He hated you. He hated your kind. He hated your beauty. He hated the pretty white dress you were wearing, so pure and innocent, glowing like a beacon in the dark. A lure, guiding uncountable men before him into perdition.
But above all else, he hated that, even then, he couldn't help but to want you. Fervently. Desperately. Irreversibly.
"I came here to make a deal" He croaked, cursing himself internally for showing weakness.
"Let's negotiate, then," you replied, stepping away, mercifully letting him breath.
"My brother-"
"I know" You interrupted, sounding bored already, "Reapers everywhere are going berserk. Who, oh who, will get to reap the soul of a Holland?"
The wind picked up, making your long dress billow around your legs. You twirled a little, admiring the way it moved. Tom's eyes were glued to you, almost hypnotized. Partly because you were too dangerous to be left unsupervised even for a second, partly because you looked beautiful like that. It had never been more obvious to him that you were an unearthly creature, you didn't belong to this world. There, surrounded by greenery, barefoot, swaying softly under the twilight light, he wondered how could anybody ever mistake you for a human.
"Of course" your apathetic voice took him out of his revery, "being reapers, watching them go wild is rather boring. I swear they are the most uninteresting beings of all creation"
That made him see red.
"Boring? Boring?!" He knew his voice was rising with every word but he just couldn't help it, "They're waiting for my little brother to die!!"
"Which could happen any minute now," You reminded him, all playfulness gone from your demeanor, "so if you wanna strike a deal, I suggest you start making me an offer worth my time"
He was taken aback by that.
"I- My soul in exchange of a wish, and you collect it in ten years" He tried and failed not to think about what that implied: vicious, invisible hounds of hell tearing apart his body and dragging his soul to hell, "Isn't that the usual deal?"
You scoffed,
"After all the things you did in your life, what makes you think your soul doesn't belong in hell already? And if your brother dies, that is one less Holland on earth to worry about. You and your brothers have managed to become a big pain in the ass for us…"
He pulled out a knife, a strange one, with runes in the blade. You arched a brow in recognition
"The Winchesters' knife. Are you threatening me, little hunter?"
Your lack of reaction was another blow. He had hoped you'd be more impressed than that. Nonetheless he turned it in his hands, offering you the handle.
"I'm throwing it into the deal"
To his surprise, you didn't immediately take it from his hands, choosing instead to pace the clearing, deep in thought.
The truth was you couldn't care less about the knife, it wasn't more dangerous to you than a toothpick. And while it was true it could certainly damage your queen, she had a far better weapon to protect herself: You.
But it did confirm your suspicions about the Hollands having access to the old Winchester arsenal, which meant they had access to something way more dangerous than that rustic weapon made of steel and bone. A book, made of ancient dark magic and human skin, written in blood. A book that was precious to queen Rowena and by extension to you: the Book of the Damned.
The Hollands were a family of extremely talented, yes, but old fashioned hunters. The stab first, ask questions later kind. They probably had no idea what they had in their hands… but you did.
"Very well then," you finally declared, "this is my offer: Your soul and that knife in exchange for sweet Harry's life and one year for you to get all your businesses in order"
Tom felt all the blood drain from his face. One year. Just 365 more days to live, before an eternity of torture in hell.
"O-one year?" He breathed.
"One year" You confirmed, "More than enough time to go see the Grand Canyon, eat the world's spiciest burger or whatever you have on your bucket list"
The disdain in your words only made him hate you harder.
"Not nearly enough to live" He replied through clenched teeth. You rolled your eyes,
"You're a hunter. You lead short, violent existences, charging head first towards what most humans run away from. Things faster, stronger, more powerful than you, surviving each encounter out of sheer luck. Killing one monster after another, until that luck runs out. Because the monsters? Unlike you who rely on it everyday, they just need. One. Single. Lucky. Strike." You punctuated every word with one step in his direction, until you were face to face again. Until, for the first time ever, you could see the fear, the desperating hopelessness he kept hidden inside, reflected on the warm coffee of his eyes. You knew a lesser man would be already crying and begging for Mercy.
Tom wasn't like other men though, that was the whole point.
"Or…" You soften your tone and your stance, letting your fingers ghost over the back of his hand, his whole skin erupting in goosebumps. That was the very first time you touched him. Ever.
And it was as if nobody had ever touched him before, the light caress enough to set every nerve ending, every single one of his cells, alight.
He was so distracted by the sensation and his body's response to it, he almost didn't hear your next words over the sound of his own pounding heart.
"Or you could keep your little pocket knife, and even have your ten years if…"
"If?" He struggled to focus.
"You let me borrow a book"
His brows furrowed in confusion,
"A book? What book?"
"Any book of my liking, for as long as I want" You shrugged it off, "Do we have a deal?"
There was a catch there, it was obvious. He knew he was going to regret it but, what choice did he have?
"Deal"
Your smile was blinding, luminous. If he didn't know any better, he would have called it angelical. Now, that was one ridiculous thought.
"What now? We seal it with a kiss?" His eyes fell to your lips, so soft looking and inviting. He wasn't eager to put his mouth on a filthy demon and doom himself. He wasn't.
You chuckled, but there was no humor behind it.
"Oh no, darling. This is big. This is special" You're special, "A simple kiss just won't cut it…"
No. You couldn't mean… could you? Was there no limits to your hatred for him? Did you really want him so defeated, so humiliated?
"What do you want?" He spat through gritted teeth.
"The same thing you want" You put your hands on his chest, rising to your tiptoes to whisper in his ear, "The same thing you have wanted ever since we first met . The thing that's obsessing you..."
"I don't know what you're talking about"
You smirked,
"You can lie to your family, you can even lie to yourself, little hunter... But you can't lie to me."
He couldn't hide, you could see every fantasy, hear every single one of his thoughts of you on repeat, like a prayer in your direction. Just like he couldn't hide the way his skin was burning now for you, the way his blood rushed south, the way all logical thought left his brain, his iron grip on his emotions finally breaking as he snapped.
Lightning fast, in just a blink, he twirled you around, your back hitting the rough bark of a tree, as he towered over you, demon blade to your throat, every inch of his body pressed against yours. His eyes were ablazed with rage, and passion, as he surged forward, striking you with his best hit.
He kissed you.
Lips vicious against yours, teeth biting and scraping only to soothe the offense seconds later with his tongue, until he was dizzy, light headed with the lack of oxygen and the taste of you. The hand not holding the knife to your neck fell to your breast, squeezing the pliant flesh with enough force to cause pain on a human woman, merely making you moan. He swallowed the sound, letting his fingers trace your waist, your hips, clawing at your dress until he finally, finally, felt skin under his fingertips.
It was better than anything his mind had conjured in his feverish fantasies in the dead of the night. The skin of your inner thighs velvety soft, as they parted under his touch, the sweetest sounds leaving your lips as his fingers found your naked core. You weren't wearing any underwear, probably never had. The realization that, in all your past encounters and fights you had been standing there, just feet away from him with nothing under that damn dress hit him like a truck, making his head swim.
He searched between your folds, and suddenly his fingers were inside you. He was inside you, a part of him was buried deep within you, within your silky heat, claiming you as his, if only for the night.
And you were so wet for him, and only getting wetter as he pumped his fingers in and out of you, scissoring them, opening you up until he was able to slip a third one in, fucking you with his hand in earnest. You were sobbing, clutching at his biceps, head thrown back in pleasure. He took advantage of that to suck bruises on your neck, only to see them fade before his eyes. Your skin tasted clean, smelled like wild flowers and rain. Ozone. Lightning. Like those coursing through his veins with every cry, every delicious gasp you made.
He found the perfect spot inside you, the one that sent sparks through your nerves with every stroke of his calloused fingers.
"This what you wanted?" To make him lose it? Lose his mind, himself, in you? "For me to make you come on just my fingers, like the little slut you are?"
The floor disappeared from under his feet as you sent him flying away from you, a searing pain exploding at the back of his head as he landed, sprawled at the feet of an old, dying oak. With blurry eyes, he saw you stalk towards him, all power and cold, controlled fury.
"Let's get one thing straight, Holland. I'm not one of your sluts" You sneered, "and I'm definitely not your basic bitch of a girlfriend. So you better start showing me a little respect, are we clear?"
He gulped, sitting up. He had to be seriously fucked up in the head, for his cock to be twitching inside his pants at your threatening tone.
"Crystal"
"Good" You declared, coming to a stop right in front of him, standing between his parted legs, "Now, let's put that mouth of yours to a better use"
He knew that image was going to be forever tattooed on his brain: You standing in front of him, holding the skirt of your dress up, waiting for him to put his mouth on you. Tom took a moment to admire you, before delving in, flattening his tongue over your slit, before drawing tight, precise circles on your clit with the tip. God, you tasted so divine it was messing with his head; something as dark and corrupted and twisted as you, feeling so exquisite, so perfect, so heavenly to his every sense.
He helped you hook your knee over his shoulder, his other arm snaking around your leg, pulling you even closer. You could feel his smirk against your cunt the moment he realized your legs were shaking, but you couldn't find it in yourself to care, not with his wicked talented mouth devouring you like a last meal, rocking your whole world, making you see stars behind your closed eyelids.
You always knew that man would make the stars fall.
Tom kept on, penetrating you with his tongue as far as it would go, his whole face moving against you. The slight burn of his scruff felt delicious against your delicate labia, as he used his fingers to open you up like a flower, separating your petals to get to the delectable nectar inside. You were close, he could feel it, the obscene sounds you were making, the waves of sweetness falling on his lips feeding his ego, filling him up with pride. By the time the night was over, you'd be unable to forget him. He would make sure of that. He would make you come, over and over, until the only thoughts left in your brain were of him, the only word your lips knew how to speak was his name. He would mark you, like a bloodstain, like you had done to him.
Almost there, he almost had you. Your muscles were locking, your walls starting to tremble, when a loud crack resonated over his head, and you stepped away on unstable legs, breathing hard. You didn't even need to breathe, it was just his effect on you. He made you feel human. And it was both exhilarating, and terrifying.
You took another step back, but he took hold of your ankle, tugging hard enough to make you fall on his lap, white skirt covering the place where his hands were fumbling with his zip, with his boxers, aligning himself with your entrance.
"Fuck!" He cursed, as you sank on his rock hard cock, not giving him any time to get used to the feeling of you around him, before starting to move.
"How does it feel" You taunted, "fucking a monster? Is it as good as you dreamed of?"
Better. You felt even better. Tom hadn't thought it was possible, but he loathed you even more for it.
"Shut up" He growled.
You leaned forwards, breath hot against his ear,
"Cause you feel amazing, Tom. Your cock feels like heaven"
His hand tangled in your hair, keeping you in place as he crashed his mouth to yours again, the other fumbling for the buttons at the back of your dress, tugging and pulling, tearing at the fabric, in his haste to feel more. More of your skin against his, more of the body that had been his hyper fixation for far too long.
You sat up, still grinding on his cock, letting the tattered dress fall to your waist, watching in satisfaction as his eyes went wide, zeroing on the way your breasts bounced in sync with your hips.
Reaching up, for a glorious second Tom could feel one perfect pebbled nipple against his palm, the roundness, the weight of your soft flesh on his fingers; before an invisible force pinned his hands to his sides.
You tsked.
"Still don't get it, do you little hunter? This?" You let yourself fall all the way down his thick cock, hard, tearing twin moans from his mouth and yours, "This isn't about you. This is about me."
Leaning back, you braced yourself on his strong thighs, changing the angle, changing your movements to a slower rocking against his pelvis. The friction against your clit was perfect, the feeling of his big, throbbing dick so deep inside you, stretching you like no one before, sending electrical pulses through your spine. It was decadent. It was ecstasy.
It was torture. Underneath you, Tom was sobbing, eyes bright with unshed tears, fighting in vain against his bonds. He needed it faster, harder, anything to help tilt him over the edge you were keeping him on, your sweet cunt too tight, too good around him to allow his cock to soften, your rhythm too leisured to let the tensed, strained coil inside him to snap. You were uncaring, using him remorselessly to get yourself off, your little moans getting higher in pitch the closer you came to your climax. Tom felt himself getting higher just by looking at your beautiful pleasure ridden face. You cried out, and suddenly it was happening, you were coming, pulsating around his cock, falling apart on top of him.
And the ground beneath him quaked. The sky above his head bled, the blue twilight torn open by lightning, and thunder, despite the fact that there wasn't a single cloud marring its diaphaneity. You fell forwards, hand braced on the tree, next to his face, ridding the aftershocks of your orgasm until the end.
"No!" Tom cried when, after a few seconds of catching your breath, you dismounted him, letting his dick slip out of you.
You arched a brow,
"Something you want, Tommy?"
He locked his mouth shut, gritting his teeth. You smiled, amused, knuckles stroking his still iron hard cock.
"Do you need more, little hunter?" You enveloped him in your hand, moving it up and down his member, watching the head disappear under his foreskin, "Do you need to come?"
He banged the back of his head against the bark.
"Yes!" He finally admitted, "So badly…"
"Then beg" You commanded, stilling your hand. He snapped open the eyes he hadn't realized he had closed. Oh, if looks could kill…
"Never" He hissed, livid.
"Very well, then" You picked up your pace, pumping him fast, your grip almost too rough. He gasped for air, feeling the telltale tightening of his balls, the coil inside just about to break under the tension. But you must have felt it too, cause your hand let go of him altogether. Too late, he understood what you were doing.
One beat. And then another, and he was coming all over his t-shirt, orgasm completely ruined.
He cursed, tears escaping through the corner of his eyes, fingers digging into the moist ground under his hands. You chuckled, cruelly, standing up and stepping out of your shredded dress. He could have ganked you with the demon blade in that moment, he really could have, except his hands were still pinned by an invisible force at his sides.
"Let me go, you bitch," Tom growled, tossing, fighting against his restraints to no avail, "aren't you done?!"
"Not quite." You smiled, mockingly sweet, "Just one more thing before I leave. Don't worry, it will only hurt for a minute…"
He renewed his efforts to escape, as you bended over, reaching for his chest, white hot pain burning through his ribs. He almost cried out, but what he saw stole the voice from his throat, turned his blood into ice inside his veins, leaving him shaking, jaw slack and mouth open in a soundless scream:
You, naked and gorgeous and terrible. Transfixed, eyes glowing with a supernatural indigo light, the shadow of two massive, bended, broken wings projected on the trees behind you.
Not a demon, he thought. You're not a demon.
You smiled, and it was terrifying.
"No. I'm the thing demons have nightmares about" You replied out loud to the words he had only said in his mind, "And now, little hunter, you belong to me. Mind, body and soul"

“You’re evil,” Jisung pouted, pulling down on his oversized shirt to cover his still semi-hard on as the two of you walked down the hall. You snickered, enjoying the way he walked almost painfully.
“Sorry,” you grinned. “But it was fun, wasn’t it?”
“For you!” he cried. He leaned closer to your ear and hissed quietly, “You’re not the one who has a boner!” You quickened your pace, turning your head to throw a wink and a kiss. Jisung grumbled, awkwardly waddling faster to catch up to you. “Minx. You evil she-devil of a minx!”
“Hey, is it my fault you get horny easily?”
“Yes! It’s you, for fucks sake! Have you seen yourself?” he huffed. “You’re on my mind 24/7, do you even know how much you affect me?”
Your heart raced. You rolled your eyes and laughed him off, hoping that he wouldn’t notice your flustered expression. Scoffing playfully, you said, “Now that sounds like a you problem, doesn’t it?”
“Y/n~! Stop!” he whined.
You briefly glanced at his reddened face and sighed. “Okay, okay. Fine. I’m sorry. I’ll make it up to you, promise.” You were about to enter the canteen until Jisung grabbed your wrist.
“I know how you can make it up,” he said with a somewhat timid look. He took a deep breath before stating more boldly. “Go on a date with me.”
Your eyes widened in shock. “Wh-what?”
“Let’s go on a date. After school. Tonight.” Jisung stared at you with a newfound determination meanwhile your face grew hotter and hotter by the second. You stared at his reddened face, contemplating, before sighing.
“What time?”
“Oh, what? Seriously?” he gaped. “Holy shit. YES!” He threw his fists up in the air, hollering. “Oh my God, fuck yeah!”
You couldn’t help but laugh as he rejoiced, despite the slight embarrassment you felt from the scene he was causing. Putting your hands on his shoulders, you camly shushed him with a smile. “Sorry, I was just—wow. I really landed a date with the hottest person I know,” he chuckled sheepishly as he rubbed the top of his fluffy blond hair.
You giggled, moving his hand away from his head to hold it instead. “Better show up all dolled up for me, pretty boy.”
“Pff, I always look good, Y/n. What’re you talking about?” Jisung smirked, obnoxiously holding his head up high. You rolled your eyes at his playful arrogance.
“Watch it. I can change my mind anytime.”
“I know you won’t.” He brought your entwined hands up to his lips to kiss your knuckles. The rate of your heart beat increased, body tingling in adoration. Jisung smiled, letting go of your hand. “Gotta go now, I need to work on some stuff with Chan and Changbin today, but I’ll see you later, yeah?”
“Yup, see you soon!” You waved goodbye as Jisung walked away. He was only 5 steps in when he turned around and started walking backwards to speak.
“Tonight’s gonna be a surprise! Just be ready by 6, okay?” he called out.
“Okay!” You watched his retreating figure until he was halfway out of the hall. You walked happily into the canteen, thinking about your date with Jisung.
‘5:56pm’
It’s been 5 minutes since you’ve been mindlessly brushing the ends of your hair. Placing the brush back down onto your coffee table, you stood up to check your outfit on the reflection of the blackened TV screen for the umteenth time, bending down to sweep off any dust from your flowy pants. Now, you weren’t typically the type to obsess over your appearance, but tonight is certainly an exception, right? Grabbing the lip balm in your bag, you slathered on a thin layer of the sweet scented stick, smacking your lips together with a ‘pop’, and placed back inside. A notification went off from your phone. Recognizing the unique ringtone immediately, you hastily bent down to grab it.
1 new message(s) from Hannie Bear 🍯🧸
Hannie Bear 🍯🧸: im outside!
Me: Coming out now!
You rushed to the front door, grabbing your keys and switching off the lights in the living room in the process. You double checked everything in your apartment one last time before leaving.
“Hey.”
You jolted in surprise seeing Jisung leaning on the wall right in front of your door. “What the fuck, Jisung, you scared me!”
“Sorry,” he laughed, standing up straight. “I saw Hyunjin earlier and told him about our date. He looked pretty excited.”
“Yeah?” you said as you turned around to lock your door. “Is that why you were standing in front of my door like a creep?”
You giggled at Jisung’s incredulous expression. “I wouldn’t say ‘like a creep’ but yeah, he’s the reason why I found your apartment.”
“Still sounds like a creeper thing to do,” you teased. “I never told you exactly where I lived, that’s lowkey freaky.”
“Oh, uh...Sorry?”
You walked up to him, smiling at his embarrassed face. “It's okay. You’re cute so I’ll allow it.” Grabbing his hand, you led him to the elevator. “Let’s go?”
Jisung instantly smiled, walking fast so he can be the one leading you instead. “Mhm!”
Instead of driving or taking a taxi, the two of you walked. Not that you mind, at least the night was cool enough for you to not sweat. “So? Where are you taking me first?”
“Hey, didn’t I tell you tonight is a surprise?” Jisung grinned. “No questions, no doubting. Just trust me tonight.”
“Well, for all I know, you might be a murderer luring me out for my last night.”
“Please. If I was a murderer, I would’ve killed Hyunjin and Felix for stealing my cheesecake earlier.”
You snorted. “Wait, you like cheesecake?”
“Yup! And chocolate cake! God, I love those.” He looked at you excitedly. “I think it was my mom who got me into cheesecake? She isn’t the type to like sweets that much but cheesecake is the only dessert she genuinely loves.”
“Really?”
“Yeah! I remember my brother and I used to go to the store a lot to buy it for her.”
“Cute,” you giggled. You walked a few more blocks before Jisung stopped you.
“Aaand...We’re here!” You looked past him to see a small Italian restaurant. The inside looked homey, not too extravagant, with only a handful of customers inside. It had a minimalistic vibe that you very much enjoyed.
You couldn't help but chuckle. “Cheesy” you joked. “Were you hoping we would ‘Lady and the Tramp’ this?”
“Oh my God,” he gasped exaggeratedly, “that would've been so cool! But no, I heard from Minho one time that you like pasta, so I did some research and found this comfy, and more importantly, affordable place!”
“Aww,” you cooed. “You did research for me?”
“Psh, of course I did! I wanted to impress you,” he said cockily. “So, are you?”
You laughed, shaking your head. “Oh yeah, very much impressed.” You reached over to pat his leather jacket. “Especially with this sexy jacket you’re wearing.” Jisung turned bashful, fumbling with the zipper on his sleeve.
“What? Too much?” he chuckled stiffly. “Changbin actually helped me, believe it or not. He told me you’d find me irresistible if I dressed up like this.”
You took a step back to admire his outfit. From his blond hair nicely styled, to the black ripped jeans he wore that showed off his slender legs, to the runstar hike Converse he wore often. Oh yeah, this man is hot shit, you thought, biting your lip. You looked back up to seeing him fidgeting with his black mock-turtleneck with a flushed face. You giggled, gingerly placing a warm hand on his face so he could face you. “You look good, Sung,” you smiled softly, as opposed to the not-so-innocent thoughts running through your mind. “Changbin’s right, by the way. You do look irresistible.”
You grabbed his hand and dragged him inside. “But to be honest, I find you irresistible no matter what,” you winked flirtatiously, causing him to blush even more and smile giddily. You walked inside the restaurant, instantly catching the faint scent of cinnamon. Ooh Sweet… You stood near the door, waiting for a host to seat you. After 3 minutes, someone finally came by.
“Hello! I apologize for the wait, we’re just slightly short staffed tonight.”
“Felix?” you and Jisung said. Felix’s eyes widened, just realizing it was you two.
“Y/n? Jisung?” he gasped. “Hey! I didn’t know you guys were going out already.”
“We’re, well. Not official yet,” you said. “We’re still in the ‘talking’ stage, right?”
Jisung nodded, humming in agreement. “But this is still a date though.”
“Lit,” Felix cheered, fistbumping Jisung. “I’ll show you to your table now.” Your host led the both of you to the corner of the restaurant. As you sat on the chair, Felix handed you some menus.
“So my bros, I’m Felix, everybody’s favorite little freckled Aussie, and I’ll be your server for tonight.” He bowed like he would during a curtain call of a play.
“Your theatre side is coming out, Felix. Is it intermission now?” Jisung joked. You snorted while Felix rolled his eyes.
“Just give me your drinks for tonight.”
Without looking from the menu, you answered, “Water.”
“Just get me any soda you have, man. Thanks!”
“Aight. I’ll be back in 2 minutes to get your orders.” Felix walked back to the host stand to seat another set of customers. You sat in silence, skimming through your options on the menu.
“Didn’t know Felix worked here,” Jisung announced.
You shrugged. “Me neither. I guess that’s why he’s been so busy.” Another wave of silence hit the both of you. You calmly looked at the food presented on the pamphlet. However, Jisung couldn’t take the quietness.
“Remember that photography assignment you’ve been working on?” he paused, waiting for your acknowledgment. You hummed, making eye contact with him. “How is it?”
You grunted, stretching your back. “Honestly. It’s a lot harder than I thought,” you sighed. “I’ve taken countless photos already but none of them seem to resonate within me. I feel so...”
“Trapped? Blocked?”
You stared at him, the mood now oddly serious. “Yeah...Nothing seems to feel right. It’s like I’m missing something.”
“Man, I feel you,” Jisung sighed. “Lately I’ve been feeling that too. You know how many songs I’ve trashed cause they didn’t sound the way I wanted it to?”
“The life of an artist, am I right?” you joked tiredly. He nodded, patting your hand empathetically. From the corner of your eyes, you could see Felix walking back to your table. “Oh shit, Felix is coming back. Hurry up and decide what to get!”
Pain. That was all the two of you could feel.
Your head was on the table, clutching your full stomach. You looked up to see Jisung blankly staring up at the ceiling. Is he still breathing?
All of a sudden, he looked down at you, a smile beginning to form from the corners of his mouth. “You too?”
You groaned, the pain in your stomach coming back. “Why did we order so much goddamn food?”
“Go big or go home,” he weakly cried out, raising his fists up. You laughed in amusement, regretting it immediately after when your stomach started to ache again.
“Holy crap, we’re gonna die in here.”
“‘Least we’re dying happy?”
“Is—shit...A-are guys okay?” Felix asked, worriedly. The sight of your empty eyes greatly concerned him.
“Just had too much food. We’re good,” Jisung answered, giving him a thumbs up.
“Barely,” you muttered as you slowly lifted your head up.
“I wanted to ask if you guys wanted dessert but nevermind…” he eyed you both. You and Jisung made eye contact together before looking back at your friend.
“What’s the special?” you both asked simultaneously.
“Nuh uh. I’m not about to be responsible for your deaths. Go home!”
You pouted. “Come on, Felix. Don’t you love us?”
“Yeah, bro! We can take it, let’s go!”
“If I go to jail for potential homicide, I swear to God,” he sighed. “Fine. The special for tonight is a chocolate cheesecake sprinkled with shreds of Belgian chocolate.”
Both your eyes lit up. You looked back at each other as if you were speaking telepathically. Chocolate cheesecake?
“I’ll get you both only one slice!” Felix scolded. “If you guys need to puke, the restroom is down the hall behind you to your left.” Your freckled friend walked away, into the kitchen, as he glanced back at your drained forms.
“Gosh, now we’re really gonna die in here,” you whispered.
Jisung snorted as he hung his head back over the chair, “At least I’m dying with you.” You stared at his limp figure for a while before feeling the urge to take a picture. Grabbing your bag from the chair, you dug for your phone, finding it, then pulled it out. You swiped to the camera screen and took some candid photos of Jisung. “Hey, hey! Do it again!”
You looked up to see him pouting. “I know I’m handsome but if you wanted to take some pictures, you gotta tell me!” he said, sitting up and fixing his hair. You rolled your eyes, scoffing in amusement.
“Fine. Smile!”
Jisung smiled, winking as he threw up a peace sign. You took two pictures before looking up. “Okay, do something else now.” Now he pointed his index finger and thumb out, placing it under his chin. He winked again, now smiling with his teeth. Then, switching to another pose; he puffed his cheeks, hands cupping his face with his lips pursed. “One more.”
He switched from a cute pose to morphing his face into an ugly one. You laughed, “Gross!” The two of you took a couple more fun pictures together.
“Wow, I’m so handsome. Look at that,” he said. You were about to reply when you saw Felix walking back up to your table.
“Okay, bad news guys. I for real didn’t plan this, but we ran out of dessert.”
“Aww, seriously?” Jisung pouted, looking up at Felix.
He hissed, rubbing Jisung’s back. “Yeah, sorry guys. I guess chocolate cheesecake is in high demand here.”
You watched Jisung frown deepen more, slightly feeling bad. “We can go out to buy some, if you want, Sung,” you offered, holding his hand. He turned his hand so that he was able to hold it properly.
Sighing, he said whilst chuckling to lighten up his mood, “Nah. This is probably a sign for us to stop eating.” He let go of your hand, much to your dismay, and faced Felix. “It’s alright, dude. Maybe next time!”
“I feel bad,” Felix muttered. “I’ll make it up to you guys next time, promise!”
“It’s okay, Lix, it’s not your fault,” you said. “We’ll just get the check now then.”
Felix reached into his apron. “Yeah, here it is,” he said, handing you the black bill holder before walking away. “Sorry, again!”
As You were reaching for your bag to grab your wallet, Jisung stopped you. “I’m paying,” he announced. You gave him a stank look before swatting his hand away.
“I can pay too, you know?”
He refuted. “No, I’m a gentleman. That means me paying for our meal is the gentlemanly thing to do.”
“Equal rights.”
“My treat.”
The both of you tightly gripped onto the bill, death staring at one another. Neither were going to back down anytime soon. You stared hard at his face as he did the same.
“Okay, fine. Let’s compromise. We split the bill. Deal?”
Jisung hummed in thought. He was about to disagree until you pitched in. “I’ll let you pay a little extra?”
“Deal.”
You placed your split payment inside the bill holder and handed it to Felix. “Thanks guys, come back again soon!”
“Later, dude!”
“Bye, Lix!”
You walked out the restaurant, the bell on the door ringing as you left. You were about to take the path to your house until Jisung stopped you. “Park,” he whispered. “Let’s go to the park.”
You blinked, slightly off guard. “Okay…”
The walk to the park wasn’t too far, literally right across from the restaurant. It was a peaceful night, the cool breeze brushed past your bodies as you walked. Silence filled the air between the both of you; nothing but the wind and the sound of dirt crunching under your shoes was heard. The mood was...romantic. There was no one but the two of you in the area.
Your bodies brushed past one another every once in a while—more specifically, your hands. You wanted to say something when Jisung beat you to it. He shyly slid his hand into yours, watching you from the corner of his eyes, and smiled when you entwined your fingers together.
“Tonight was fun,” you said softly. You leaned closer to his body to rest your head on his shoulder. Jisung tightened his grip on your hand.
“Me too,” he whispered. “I just wish I can spend more time with you.”
“You see me everyday though?”
“Yeah, but like, I mean just you and me, alone; no one else. I—” he inhaled sharply. “I’m greedy, aren’t I?”
You looked at him confused. “What do you mean?”
“I want to be with you all the fucking time, Y/n. It hurts when I’m without you. I feel alive when we’re together. It’s like, I feel like my world would stop if I don’t see you.” You were stunned. You could only listen quietly to his rant.
“God, I sound so possessive, that’s not what I was trying to aim for,” he panicked. “I don’t care if you’re with the guys, or anyone else, I know you're not the type to pull shit like that; I trust you. I just—fuck, why is this so hard?”
He stopped walking all of a sudden and pulled you away from the path, leading you 7 feet into the trees. In any normal circumstance, you would’ve been terrified. However, this was Jisung—and you knew it, somewhere deep down, that he would never do anything to hurt you. He let go of your hand and faced you. “Jisung?”
His heart pounded erratically, he didn’t know if he was on the verge of getting a heart attack. He felt overwhelmed. Having you standing right in front of him felt like a dream. He took a deep inhale in hopes of calming himself down. “I meant what I said this morning.”
“Wh-wha…?”
“You’re in my mind 24/7, Y/n. Everyday, I always think about you to the point I’m starting to think I’m going insane. Every text, every call, every time we talk, my heart feels like it might pop out. I can’t focus and I don’t know what to do about it!” He sighed, running his fingers through his hair. “Every song I’ve written was about you. Every time I look at my phone, I feel so disappointed when I don’t see a text from you.”
Jisung steps closer to you, nearly pinning you to the tree behind you. “You’re my muse, Y/n. I-I don’t really know exactly what my heart wants but all I know is that, you’re the person I want to spend my entire life with. I think…” he paused to take another deep breath. You could feel your own heart stopping, blood rushing up to your face. “I love you, Y/n!” Jisung declared loudly.
You didn’t know if the loud sound of a heart thumping was yours or his. You were stunned, happy, and scared; millions of emotions were racing within you. Not finding the proper words for yourself, you grabbed his face and kissed him. Jisung whimpered in shock, not really expecting that reaction from you. However, he quickly pulled himself together and kissed you back, wrapping his arms around your waist. You stayed like that until the burning in your chest overpowered the burn of your hearts. You both gasped heavily, taking back in the air you lost.
“You know,” your warm breath tickled his lips. “I never did take it up for the boner I gave you this morning.”
Jisung blushed, remember the embarrassment from earlier. “Yes you did? Our date is—”
“Then this is your gift.” You slowly kneeled in front of him, caressing his thighs as you went down. Jisung watched in shock.
“I—whoa. H-Here? I-in public? Y/n, that’s—”
“Do you not want this?” you looked up, wanting his confirmation. Jisung’s breath hitched, he never would’ve thought he’d be able to see you like this just yet. He bit his lip and nodded. You smiled, kissing his hip, before undoing his pants. You slowly pulled his jeans and underwear down to his knees, his cock springing up and slapping his stomach. You found yourself drooling, finally seeing his cock in person.
Jisung groaned, the cool air hitting his dick. “Fuck…” You licked your lips then took him whole, catching him off guard. He moaned, his hand now gripping onto your hair. “Holy shit, Y/n!”
You bobbed your head, hollowing your cheeks, as you pumped whatever your mouth couldn’t take in. The man above you let out heavy breaths, trying his best not to moan so loud. That was, in fact, proven to be difficult for your mouth was just heavenly. He rested his forehead onto the tree, looking down at you. Regret filled Jisung’s chest, greeted with the erotic sight of your cheeks puffed out, his cock sliding in and out of your pretty mouth. He moaned loudly into his arm. You moved your other hand to fondle his balls, causing Jisung to buck his hip into your mouth.
“Fuck baby,” he moaned. “So good—ah! F-Feels so good, shit!” He threw his head back, covering his mouth to mask his noises. His ragged breathing sounded absolutely delicious. You took his dick halfway out of your mouth, stopping right as you felt only his tip. You sucked harshly on it, tongue swirling around it until you decided to play with his slit.
Jisung roughly pulled on your hair, moaning so loud that it almost echoed through the trees. “Y-y/n…” he whimpered. You looked up to see tears brimming his eyes. You giggled, laughing even more when the vibrations from your vocal cords hit him all in the right places.
“Feels good, baby boy?” you briefly asked, immediately going back to his cock after. He nodded, pushing his hips closer to your face, almost making you choke.
“Y-yes, m-mommy.” A wave of arousal hit your core. You could feel your juices seeping right through your panties. The nickname had you moaning, much to Jisung’s pleasure as well. “Fuck! Mommy, more!”
You continued sucking and playing with the slit on his head as you pumped his shaft with one hand and groped his ball with the other. The higher Jisung’s voice raised, you knew the closer he was.
“Close, baby boy?” you giggled. He nodded, hips no fucking into your hand.
“Yes! Oh my God, I’m so fucking close, mommy!” he stuttered. “Please! Let me cum in your mouth!”
“Such a good boy, of course I’ll let you.” You attached your mouth back into his dick, moving your head once again to bring him closer to his high.
“Holy—FUCK!” Jisung moaned, his hand back onto his mouth to control his voice. His body shook as he released his creamy essence into your mouth. Your tongue swiped across his cock to lap up the rest of his juices. His and your unstable breathing was the only thing that could be heard now. Out of courtesy, you tucked him in back into his pants and stood up.
“Wh-What about you?” he asked breathlessly. You shook your head as you patted his head.
“Nevermind about me. You’ve made me happy enough,” you grinned. “When you’re okay again, we can go back home.”
“So...Is this the part where I’m supposed to kill you?” Jisung laughed breathlessly.
The dim lights of the city were nowhere near as bright as your faces. The two of you walked, hand-in-hand, as slowly as you could, in hopes of the night never ending. But alas, the both of you had a morning class the next day. Jisung walked you all the way to your apartment door, telling you it was only for ‘safety measures’. What a liar.
“Text me when you get home, okay?” You said as you unlocked your front door. Jisung grinned, pecking the hand he held.
“Of course. I’ll see you tomorrow? Make sure you get a good night’s sleep.”
“Yeah, yeah,” you playfully rolled your eyes. Letting go of his hand, you finally opened your door and stepped inside.
“Hey, Y/n?”
You turned around to face him. “Yeah?”
Jisung stood there with a smile wider than before. “I love you.”
You giggled cutely. “Me too,” you said as you walked back to him to kiss his lips. “Goodnight, baby boy.”
“Goodnight...mommy.” He laughed.
You rolled your eyes, “Hurry and go home already!” He turned around and started walking to the elevator, calling out one final ‘I love you!’ before he walked inside. It was painfully obvious that he was trying to act cool for you, but the bounce in his walk made him look like he was skipping gleefully. You laughed, walking back inside your apartment.
Inside the elevator, Jisung pulled out his phone to text someone.
Me: hey, minho?
when i finally get married to y/n...
please be our best man! :D

With their tiefling lovers away visiting their people, Caleb and Fjord are left alone in the tower. Caleb has an itch. A want. No, a need. If only he could bring himself to ask for it.
Read on Ao3 or here:
He should have just asked.
As agonizing as that would have been, Jester wouldn’t have even teased him about it. She would have smiled and opened her arms, inviting him in, and turned him into a puddle before she left. Clearly a better option than the one he was stuck in.
Molly would have teased him, sure, but his eagerness to get on with the thing would have made it short-lived, and the results would have been the same.
He might have even been able to rope both of them, if he really wanted it. Gods, did he really want it. Now they were both in Nicodranas for the week, and an unexpected call from the Cobalt Soul had emptied their home further, until it contained one unique set of marbles that rattled around in the emptiness. Caleb himself… and Fjord.
It was so rare that they were alone together, their social lives whittled away from the web of their found family to their own unique love and camaraderie. Caleb would never tell Beau about Fjord’s skipped workouts. Fjord would keep quiet about the many long nights Caleb would spend buried in books and surviving on whatever food his insistent little cats could entice him with.
They were intimate, though with the others gone they fell into the pattern of a slow, quiet midday fuck in the library rather than mind-melting tickle attacks.
As warm as their days together were, Caleb was feeling the absence of the others. Had he really become this dependent? Had he lived so long with the luxury of insightful tiefling lovers (with a crew of accomplices) that he couldn’t go more than a few days without? Evidence said yes.
Specifically, the way his nerves had ignited when Fjord poked his head into the library late that night.
“Caleb?” He waited for the wizard’s gaze, “Come to bed tonight, hm? It’s getting lonely.”
“Oh…” Caleb felt his face alight, “It’s been so late, I didn’t want to wake you…”
Fjord waved a hand with an affectionate grin. “I know. I’m not offended. I don’t care if you wake me, though. Come to bed.”
Caleb returned the smile, hoping the shiver that chased itself around his skin wasn’t visible from the doorway. “ Ja , ok. I will. Goodnight.”
“Goodnight.”
~~~
Caleb would swear to himself, even later, that he hadn’t meant to wake Fjord. He’d stepped into his lovers’ bedroom with every intention of creeping over to the empty side of the bed and slipping between the covers, quiet as a mouse. Unfortunately he’d left his sea legs on a ship many months before.
The gentle rocking that he’d enchanted into the bedroom combined with pitch blackness and an exhausted mind sent him tumbling into a piece of furniture— a chair?— then over it and onto the floor with a clatter. He was upright again by the time Fjord roused.
“Caleb? Are you alright?”
“Ja, just clumsy.” Caleb assured him, hurriedly putting himself into the bed and holding perfectly still. “I’m fine, go back to sleep.”
His attempt to be inconspicuous was thwarted when one arm slung itself around his middle and pulled him in to spoon with a long, even sigh. “‘Kay.”
Caleb tried to relax into Fjord’s warm embrace, until the other man’s hand started to move. One broad, smooth palm stroked his chest, stomach, side, ribcage… all in firm, gentle strokes that didn’t tickle. At all . Caleb wanted to whimper and squirm, try to catch Fjord’s fingertips against a sensitive spot and earn some little zing of sensation, but he’d already woken him once. Instead he sat very still with his skin aglow with desperation until Fjord drifted off and his hand stilled. Caleb fell asleep not long after, still wholly sensitized and half-hard.
Between basic biology and want-filled dreams, neither situation had resolved itself by morning. In fact, as it did most mornings, his skin felt more sensitive as it awakened. Caleb hadn’t opened his eyes yet when he felt the press of cool lips against the heated skin at the back of his neck, sending shivers rattling through his thin frame.
“Good morning.” Fjord’s voice was a low, sleepy rumble that made Caleb shiver for entirely different reasons.
“Morning” Caleb returned through a yawn, stretching as best he could without wriggling out of Fjord’s embrace.
He found himself suddenly sharply aware of the placement of Fjord’s hands where they were wrapped around his torso, and the restraining weight of one muscular leg thrown over his hip. Still half asleep, he bumped against the embrace with a satisfied little hum before settling his own gangly form within Fjord’s larger one.
“What are you getting up to, today?” Caleb mumbled against the pillows, still wiping sleep from his eyes.
That’s when Fjord’s embrace suddenly tightened, his arms pulling Caleb in close while his leg stopped him from curling up to press him, stretched, against the length of his companion’s form.
“Well, you know…” Fjord yawned, “I’d thought with the tiefs gone you might like a little break from certain things, seeing as how they do get you pretty often. But I’m starting to think that was a mistake on my part.”
Caleb’s skin ignited and he squirmed, suddenly breathless. “I— wait —” For what, even Caleb wasn’t sure.
Fjord chuckled into his shoulders. “Aw, you don’t need to pretend, Caleb. I felt a little bad letting you fall asleep in such a state last night, but it was late, and I know how much more sensitive you are in the mornings.” With that he clenched his fingers, settling their tips on Caleb’s rib cage like needlepoints only to hold perfectly still.
“ Fjord! ” Caleb whined, but it was barely more than a wheeze. He fought the urge to squirm.
“Yes? Did you need something?”
“ Bitte .”
Another chuckle, then hot breath in Caleb’s ear. “Bitty what? Maybe we should make this a lesson in asking for what you want from people who love you. I can stand in for Jester and Caduceus.”
Caleb gritted his teeth, unable to even consider saying the word. He didn’t need to. It was so close . He let out a wordless, pleading whine. Fjord was one of the more susceptible of the nein to pleading.
One of Fjord’s hands tossed the blankets to the side and exposed a long flank of pale skin, currently bound by strong green limbs. The same hand started to float above Caleb’s side, fingers flicking to set off interspersed giggles from the trapped wizard.
“It’s not a burden, you know. Look how easy it is to rile you. Hardly a chore. I don’t even need to touch you…”
Caleb could only whine and giggle, eyes locked on Fjord’s floating hand. The half-orc’s other arm was still wrapped around Caleb’s torso, gripping the wizard’s arms tightly to keep them out of his way.
“…just imagine how bad it’s gonna be when I do.”
Caleb thrashed a little against his restraint with his eyes shut tight, half to hide from the teasing and half out of embarrassment over the squeaking strings of giggles he was producing without so much as a touch.
A smooth palm strokeed at this stomach in a move that would have been comforting had he been calmer, but instead his eyes shot open with a hiccoughing yelp that turned into a whine as the hand withdrew and started floating once more.
“You’re gonna have to say it, if you want it. I could do it just how you love it. Start out nice and slow…”
Fjord’s fingers started to drift again, his fingers skating a scant inch above the soft skin of Caleb’s stomach. Caleb’s eyes were open and locked in a wide, giddy panic. He was already getting breathless.
“…or I could get a little more serious…”
Fingers crooked and made a clawing motion over Caleb’s ribcage, making him squeal and kick his feet against the mattress.
“…or maybe a little beard action…”
“No!” Caleb squeaked, his neck collapsing backward. Fjord hadn’t done anything, but the knowledge that said beard was just out of sight and free to wreak havoc was enough.
“No? Why not?” Fjord asked, hooking one finger to menace above Caleb’s armpit. “Keep telling me ‘no’ instead of 'please tickle me Fjord’ and I might really stop. Just let you marinade for the rest of the week and tell the tieflings how bad you need it when they get home, hmm?”
“No-hohoho! Evil!”
“What’s evil?” Fjord asked patiently, chuckling at the frustrated sound it pulled from the trapped wizard. “Not my beard! You were singing its praises not too long ago. Remember that night? The one where Jester and I kissed you from head to toe?”
The sense memory lit Caleb up. He hid in the bicep of his trapped arm and groaned, feet mussing the sheets further.
“ Der teufel … you’re a fucking devil… they should have brought you with, to their tiefling retreat!”
“Careful, if those two had decided to make exceptions to the tieflings-only rule they would have packed you in a suitcase and served you on a plate.” Fjord’s fingers flexed in the air once more, and Caleb made a sound like he was dying.
“Hang in there, now, what if I were to grab that rope that’s tied under the headboard… and the paintbrushes in the bedside drawer… and I get real patient with your armpits to see how long you can take it.”
One cautious finger was set down carefully on the thin skin at the back of his armpit, too firm and still to really tickle, but Caleb sobbed into his bicep all the same. He felt Fjord shift.
“Are you crying ? Oh, I cannot wait to show Jester this new trick. How to make you wail and cry without doling out one single tickle?”
Caleb didn’t want to prove him right, but he couldn’t help the little wail that escaped. Jester didn’t need to learn to tease like this . Nobody needed to learn to tease like this. In fact, if Fjord didn’t stop teasing, Caleb was pretty due he was going to melt and be absorbed into the mattress like spilled tea.
“Fjord no , stop —”
Suddenly the pinprick sensation near his armpit was gone. The weight of Fjord’s leg was gone, as was Fjord himself. Caleb kicked himself upright, head on a swivel. The half-orc was already pulling on a shirt.
“What…?”
“I told you, if you kept telling me no, I’d stop.”
Cold shock slid down Caleb’s spine, his stomach dropping.
“ Please , Fjord!”
“Please what?”
Caleb made a frustrated sound, balling his hands into fists in the sheets. “Please do everything you just threatened to, you arschloch !” Then he felt a thrill of panic as he was pinned under the paladin’s gaze.
A wicked grin split Fjord’s features as he turned and stalked back towards the bed. “ Everything? Well, I was going to make you say the word, but that’s an offer I can’t refuse. C’mere.”
Whatever fight Caleb had found at the prospect of being abandoned drained out of him as Fjord pushed him backward and sprawled across him.
“So…” Fjord questioned, one eyebrow raised as his hand started to float again. “I’m afraid I can’t quite remember my list… gonna need some help from that keen mind of yours.”
Caleb groaned.
“What was that first thing again?”
It was a ruse. It was a trick. Caleb didn’t care. He was going to combust. His arms were already thrown up to hide his face, so from that hiding place he croaked “Start off slow…”
“Right, right… slow.” Fjord purred.
It turned out that there would be no going slow that morning, because the second his fingers started to skate around Caleb’s navel the wizard’s arms snapped down to protect his torso while he dissolved into breathless, pitchy laughter.
“Oh dear, you’re in big trouble, aren’t you? So riled up already.”
“St— nahaha— don’t tease! ”
“Oh… that was not part of the deal. What’s next?”
“ Nahaha— you know! ”
“Nope.” Fjord was nonchalant as he took the other man apart with one fingertip. “Sorry, don’t remember…”
Caleb hugged his ribcage tighter with one arm and pressed his other fist against his mouth. “Get ahahaha— little mohohore serious!”
His attempts to hide were universally futile. Fjord’s hands started to hop and skip around his torso, delivering a ticklish pinch and prod at every open space he could find without ever trying to get Caleb’s hands out of the way, a sharp reminder of how helpless Caleb was to stop him.
Caleb’s laughter kicked up in a way that left him without breathe to plead or squeal, so he settled for wrapping both arms around his ribs and rolling onto his side to put his face in the pillow.
“Nope.” Two strong hands grabbed his shoulders and flattened him out on his back. “No hiding. Watching you fall apart is the best bit.”
Caleb wailed at his exposure, his laughter leaving him weak enough for Fjord to slide his hands around his ribcage and dig in more thoroughly. Caleb arched his back and tossed his head in an attempt to drive the sensation away, but he could only cackle and accept his fate for the time being.
Fjord finally let him catch his breath a short while later, hands still in their attack position but with stilled fingers. “So…” he purred over the sounds of Caleb’s hiccuping gasps “What was the next one?”
Caleb had only a few breaths to collect himself, a little thrill of rebellion rising in his chest. “You were going to… hic… get the r-rope…”
“That’s right! Now I remember.” Fjord purred again, kissing a few stray tears of laughter away from Caleb’s face as he reached one arm between the mattress and the headboard to pull out a length of silken red rope (an absolutely mortifying gift from Marion Lavorre that had sparked quite the conversation about privacy) and wrap it around both of Caleb’s wrists.
The wizard sighed in relief as his deception went unnoticed, then quivered at the helpless stretch of his body. He hid his face in the bends of his arms while Fjord settled next to him.
“See, the only problem with this paintbrush idea…” Fjord mused, watching Caleb’s breath even out. “Is that you’re a fuckin liar and that’s not what I said next.”
Caleb managed one quick, panicked gasp as the accusation landed, but the unbearable scrape of a beard across the side of his ribcage drew it all out of him in a squeal.
“Aaaah! Nein! No! Stahp! ”
“Say ‘please tickle me Fjord’.”
“ Nahaha —” Caleb wheezed “ Can’t— can’t! Bitte!”
“Oh, that’s right, it was supposed to be your armpits, wasn’t it?” One strong hand gripped an elbow, pinning it next to one flushed cheek to stretch the thin skin beneath.
“ Nahahaha! ” Caleb shrieked as Fjord hovered his lips just above his underarm, warm breath already making the wizard’s entire body rigid with ticklish panic.
“Say iiiiiit” Fjord sing-songed, his words drawing out a fresh wave of hysterics. “Say it or I’ll stay like this forever…”
Caleb swallowed, gasped and hiccuped for a moment before finally choking out “ P-please tickle me, Fjord. ”
“Good boy…” Fjord’s voice was soothing, but he had to raise it to be heard over the screams of laughter that the gentle bump of his nose and soft brush of his lips ripped out of the wizard beneath him. “I am so proud of you. I’m going to tell Jester all about it, and she’ll be proud of you too.”
He kept it up for a few moments, even after he stopped showering Caleb with praise, applying a good nuzzle to the ticklish armpit before releasing the wizard to melt into a giggly puddle in the middle of his bed.
“Would have been so much easier if you’d just asked,” he murmured into ginger hair, “but you know that, didn’t you?”
“But when he threatened your life with a switch blade knife-“
“Everybody shoved him, I very nearly loved him”
“Hey listen to me, stay sane inside insanity!”
“But he must've been drawn into something”
“I'm out of my head! Hurry, or I may be dead!”
“I'll tell you once, I won't tell you twice! You'd better wise up!”
“Your “apple pie” don't taste too nice”
“You're as sensual as a pencil!”
“You got a block? Well take my advice! You'd better wise up, [name]”
“A mental mindfuck can be nice!”
“Don't get hot and flustered”
“You'd better not try and hurt her”
“It was great when it all began”
“Rose tints my world keeps me safe from my trouble and pain!”
“My libido hasn't been controlled”
“Now the only thing I've come to trust is an orgasmic rush of lust”
“I'll be good, you'll see”
“What this? Let's see... ah, I feel sexy”
“What's come over me?”
“I feel released, bad times deceased! My confidence has increased!”
“My mind has been expanded”
“Her lust is so sincere…”
“Give yourself over to absolute pleasure”
“Swim the warm waters of sins of the flesh”
“Don't dream it, be it”
“We've got to get out of this trap! Before this decadence saps our will”
“It's beyond me, help me Mommy!”
“God bless Lily St. Cyr!”
“I'm a wild and an untamed thing, I’m a bee with a deadly sting”
“So let the party and the sounds rock on we're gonna shake it 'till the life has gone”
“Your mission is a failure, Your lifestyle's too extreme!”
“I want to come again and stay smile and that will mean I may…”
“I've seen blue skies through the tears in my eyes”
“Everywhere, it's been the same, like I'm outside in the rain”
“I've done a lot god knows I've tried to find the truth, I’ve even lied…”
“But all I know is down inside I'm bleeding…”
“And all I know...is still the beast is feeding”
demons had once been humans, and every single one of them had died young. their life had been plagued by rage and pain, and the devil had given them the chance to live for eternity to get revenge on the world. they all existed by choice, phoenixes who had gone through fire and chose to keep burning forever.
they whispered in innocent ears about greed and envy, painted their souls red with sin. and despite the suffering they caused they were loved, because they were attractive, alluring, irresistible. they could’ve been mistaken for angels, if it wasn’t for the darkness in their eyes and the heat they exuded. and the black, featherless wings, of course. fear didn’t touch them and they were driven by adrenaline, uncontrolled impulses, and lust. in paradise there were stories of angels who had let themselves be tainted by a demon’s touch, after being pure on earth and in the afterlife. they’d become addicted, and had been ultimately killed by the heartache of not being loved back.
you should have hated him. that’s what everything suggested, what you’d been taught and what you knew was right. he was incapable of love, of feeling empathy, the very things you were made for. you shouldn’t want to spend even a second in his presence, you shouldn’t even be able to look his way without feeling repulsed.
but you’d let hyunjin follow you, hadn’t even said a word back when he said he wasn’t going to leave you alone, and now he was in the bakery, leaning against a counter as if he owned the place. you were afraid of him, that you couldn’t deny, but you couldn’t hate someone you didn’t even know. and how come angels were capable of hate?
“why so pouty, little angel? did your cookies not come out as sweet as you wanted?”
with his mocking tone came your red cheeks, a natural consequence. he loved it, you could see his smirk getting wider every time, but you couldn’t do anything to stop it.
“you’re going to scare my clients,” you said, daring a glance his way. he was dressed in black from head to toes, and the red of his eyes was only matched by his lips against the unnaturally pale skin. he looked completely out of place in the pastel tones of the bakery.
hyunjin chuckled. “you’re mistaken, they love me. this is about you.”
“about me?”
he hummed. “you’re the one who’s scared of me.”
“you’re mistaken,” you said, trying to use the same condescending tone. but your words came out shaky, and it made hyunjin laugh.
“lying is bad, angel, didn’t they teach you that in paradise?” he said, reaching out his hand towards you. “prove you’re not scared, then. come here, i’ll believe you if you come here to me.”
you looked at his hand, waiting for you to take it. clutching the hem of your apron in your fists, you followed his arm up to his face. you knew what it would’ve meant, what would’ve happened if you got closer and let hyunjin touch you willingly. you wanted to do it, to prove you hadn’t lied when you both knew you had.
pride. that was the biggest sin, the root of all evil. you’d heard that sentence in your head more times that you could count, sculpted into your conscience by every archangel you’d encountered. if you didn’t take his hand, it wasn’t real. unless you acted upon it, you weren’t sinning.
the first step was small, insignificant, but you’d taken it. hyunjin’s eyes lit up with astonishment at the prospect of you falling so easily. you didn’t take it yet. that’s what you kept repeating to yourself as you took the second step, your heartbeat loud in your ears. you didn’t take it yet, you could stop. it wasn’t too late, not yet.
he was one step away when the bell above the bakery’s door rang. hyunjin’s arm fell to his side. you were never going to take that step. you put on a smile and turned to greet the client. even if nobody had opened the door at that moment, you wouldn’t have taken it.
“hello! what can i do for you?”
the young man came a couple times a week to buy apple turnovers, his favorites, as he never failed to tell you, and he always offered you a wide smile. today, his sunny expression died down before he could even walk up to the counter.
his face lost all color as he stared at hyunjin, having forgotten your presence completely. the demon held his gaze, his tongue swiping over his lips, the light catching on the little ball of metal of his tongue piercing. the young man seemed conflicted, tense as if he was holding himself back from taking a step closer. hyunjin was calling him without saying a word, letting his half lidded eyes do the work.
you knew this was what was going to happen and you wanted to do something, anything. but you’d never seen a demon before hyunjin, and now you understood why they were so hard to resist. he wasn’t looking at you and yet you felt affected by his power, as if it were a physical entity whispering obscenities in your ear.
you shook your head and got a hold of yourself, trying your best to smile at the distraught customer. “apple turnovers, as usual?”
your gentle voice snapped the young man out of his trance, and now he looked at you perplexed. you knew what he was thinking, how could these two people be in the same place? humans didn’t know about angels and demons, but they could feel when someone was out of the ordinary. both you and hyunjin were, in the most opposite way.
he nodded quickly, his hands fondling with each other nervously. you packed his order and offered it to him, feeling somewhat reassured when he took the paper bag with a poor attempt at a smile. his last glance before he left was for hyunjin.
you sighed, pushing your hair back before turning to look at the demon. “what did you do to him?”
he tilted his head to the side, narrowing his eyes at you as his smirk got bigger. “what do you think i did, angel?”
“how could i know?” you huffed. “did you convince him to commit murder? to steal something?”
hyunjin’s laughter erupted in the small bakery. he shook his head, standing properly on his feet. “easier, way easier than all of that,” he said, raising his eyebrows at you when you didn’t say anything. “i fucked him, more times than you can count on your pretty little fingers. the sweetest of sins, to me at least. he was in pain for most of it but kept asking me to go on.”
a gasp escaped your lips, your cheeks starting to burn at hyunjin’s filthy words. he bit his full bottom lip at your reaction, a glint in eyes as he took a step closer to you.
“you’ve never had sex, have you? my shy, blushing little angel, have you ever imagined what it feels like?”
you took a step back as he kept walking towards you. of course you’d never done it, angels had to be pure, untouched even in their previous life. he knew that, there were stories in hell, too. but you were free in your thoughts, and sometimes they were filled with an uncontrollable hunger for something you’d never had. you imagined strong hands touching you gently, warmth spreading from the most intimate part of you to your entire body, words whispered in the dark.
“sins aren’t sweet,” you said, avoiding his questions. your back touched the wall, and when he stopped walking your bodies were almost touching. hyunjin tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, his pointer finger following the curve of your scarlet cheek. you shivered.
“this one is, angel. i can show you just how sweet lust is, show you everything you’ve missed out on. you just have to say the words.”
he caged you between his arms, leaning down until your noses were almost touching. his tone was inviting, promises of ecstasy and pleasure silently accompanied his words. you’d heard
a few angels talk about the blissful sensation being close to the highest brought them. would laying intimately with hyunjin feel the same way?
your mouth fell agape as one of his hands caressed your waist, settling on the small of your back. his expression was softer, as if something was on his mind. you sensed his hesitation and used the moment to duck under his arm and step away from him, ignoring the cold instantly enveloping you now that his warmth was gone.
hyunjin sighed, turning to look at you. he chuckled as you cupped your own cheeks with your hands, trying to cool them down.
“i’m going to get you, angel,” he said, his mischievous smirk curving his lips again. “you can’t pretend you don’t want me much longer.”
“i don’t want anyone, hyunjin, i don’t even think about any of that,” you lied. it had become increasingly easier after days of being around him. “you can try, but i won’t fall for you, not this easily.”
“so you’re saying you will if i try harder.”
you shook your head, unable to contain your smile. you knew you were nothing more than a name he wanted to add to the list of souls he’d managed to taint. but you couldn’t ignore the small voice in the back of your head, wondering why he hadn’t given up on you to go find someone easier to corrupt.
you turned to gather everything you needed to start working on a new batch of cookies, and hyunjin was hovering over you mere seconds later. his hands on your hips burned through the layers separating them from your bare skin. he’d never touched you so directly before, without having an excuse.
“what are you doing?” you asked, biting back the shakiness in your voice.
“keeping you warm while you work.”
you turned just enough to look up at him, curious about what he was truly trying to do. he looked back at you, and if you didn’t know better you’d think his actions were innocent.
“acting nice won’t work either, hyunjin, i know who you are.”
hyunjin rolled his eyes, his arms casually wrapping around your waist. “i’m not trying anything, i know you like being warm and i’m the best heater you can find, that’s all.”
“are you… actually being nice?”
he groaned “fuck it.”
you grabbed his wrist as you felt him start to move away, looking down at the ingredients spread out before you to ignore the grin stretching hyunjin’s lips. he held you closer, one of his big hands resting on your stomach.
“don’t push it,” you warned him. when he didn’t say anything back, you took a deep breath and started working.
making the dough was second nature now, your hands moving quickly without much thought. you didn't need measurements or instructions anymore, muscle memory guiding you through the entire process. maybe you’d done this in your previous life, too. you didn't particularly like it, but it came easy. as an angel, everything that could make others happy did. you hummed a soft tune unknown to you as well, your mind free to think about anything. you recalled the things you’d promised to do, the people you’d promised to help, and it felt like reading a list of chores.
as you moved on to cutting the shapes, hyunjin moved your hair out of the way and placed his chin on your shoulder. he was completely enveloping you now, your smaller figure disappearing in his arms.
“you’re quiet,” you said, breaking the silence that had been filling the room for quite some time now. you felt hyunjin shrug.
“you’re slow, i was falling asleep,” he joked, and laughed when your shoulders sagged down with a huff.
“i’m not giving you any cookies.”
“i have never, not once in my almost centenarian life, met a mean angel before you.”
you gasped, turning around in his hold. “i’m an angel, i am physically incapable of being mean.”
“the world isn’t black and white, angel,” hyunjin said, “you lie and think about naughty things you shouldn’t even know about, and i’m willingly spending my time with you. and i like it.”
there was no shame in hyunjin’s words, and as your heart started racing you wished you could read through him like he could so easily do with you. he sounded sincere, but you couldn’t be sure he wasn’t lying. his hands were now placed on the counter on either side of you, and you dreaded how you missed his touch.
“how can something be both good and bad?” you asked, trying to grasp the meaning behind his words.
“nothing is ever entirely good or entirely bad, there’s always both,” hyunjin said, looking down at you almost… tenderly, endeared by how naive you were. “do you know the man who lives a couple blocks from here, the one with the fucked up car that sounds like a dying cat when he hits the brakes?”
you cringed at the demon’s words, and nodded. “the people living close to him always come here and complain about it,” you said, “they say he steals cars to sell the pieces to shady people, but i don’t know if it’s true or just gossip.”
“it’s true,” hyunjin said, an amused smile curving his lips, “i helped him do it the first couple of times, it was fun but he sells to assholes and i couldn’t stand them for long without starting a fight, so i left him to mind his own business.”
you sighed, not even slightly surprised. “are you telling me this to brag about it or is there a point somewhere?”
“slow down, angel, damn,” he chuckled, pinching your waist. “i want to know what you think of him, now that you know it’s all true.”
“he’s a bad person, obviously, and it’s your fault.”
“he’s a single father,” hyunjin said, holding your chin to make sure you were listening. “he couldn’t buy his daughter books to go to school because he lost his job. when i met him he was struggling to find a way to put food on the table, scared shitless they were going to take her from him.”
you listened to him talk with your lips parted, wide eyes trying to find a sense in it all. you’d been told that bad actions aren’t excusable, that crooked things have to be straightened because nothing good can grow from them. but what if something has to be crooked to work properly? you watched as the flower of your certainties lost his first petals, and the tragedy of it all made your eyes teary.
“the world is cruel, little angel,” hyunjin said, his voice gentle as he wiped your silent tears. “sometimes you have to do cruel things to keep your head above the water.”
he caressed your hair, his palm guiding you to hide in his chest. you didn’t care about being vulnerable in front of him, showing emotions brought people together, you saw no use in pretending to be strong when your world was falling apart. hyunjin’s heart was beating strong and fast against your ear. he held you tighter.
hadn’t you felt so lost, you would have noticed the memories of his life on earth darken his features with a bitter smile.
Fire and Brimstone: a Sesskag oneshot
For @harlecorn! ♥ Happy Birthday! 🎂
Rated T
A Hellhound remains bound beneath a church, waiting for the chance to enact revenge on his captors. His golden opportunity comes in the form of a blue-eyed woman. Sesskag AU oneshot.
You can read this on Ao3, Fanfiction.net and Dokuga
AN: This takes place in old-timey England. Think Witch Trial era - between the 15th and 18th century. However, I'm largely skipping the old language used in those times bc it would make dialogue feel awkward. If Kagome sounds weird it's bc I've had to lay off the modern talk a bit.
Warning: references to/implies torture
Fire and Brimstone
It was raining outside. Sesshoumaru could tell because a continuous leak somewhere had become his sole entertainment for several hours now. A thin sliver of water dripped from the roof between 10-second intervals, and he passed the time by counting them.
...Eight...Nine...Ten- drip!
A black nose twitched, picking up stale dampness lingering in the air. His body ached, but if he stayed still the wounds remained at a manageable dull, continuous pain rather than flaring white-hot agony.
How long had it been since he'd been dragged down into this dark place? He couldn't recall. Perhaps years. At the very least- months. He'd long since given up looking around at his prison, now laying in a dozing, frozen state.
Hearing something, Sesshoumaru's fluffy ear quirked. The blood inside his ear canal had encrusted, leaving sounds muted, but he could pick up distant footsteps descending stone stairs.
Have they returned to pray and bind me more tightly to their pathetic altar?
Sesshoumaru inwardly sneered, scarred paws remaining motionless. Though incredibly weak due to holy water- with his back and arms impaled with large iron stakes- a powerful, simmering rage in his chest refused to be tempered. His throat burned, belly scorching hot.
The church priest would pay, along with all his snivelling followers. One did not bind a Hellhound and live to tell the tale. Their foolish obsession with witch hunts and stamping out 'evil' within the land would be their undoing. They were fortunate they'd captured him while he'd been asleep.
Torchlight shone an orange hue behind Sesshoumaru's eyelids, but he refused to open them, playing possum.
"Still sleeping, are ye, unholy mutt?" a detestable, straight-laced voice reached his damaged ears, another torch being lit inside the room. "Good. Stay that way. Sleep until our heavenly Lord above casts you back from whence you came, down to Hell."
Oh this one will not be returning empty-handed, Sesshoumaru inwardly purred.
Remaining motionless, he looked for all the world unconscious. He couldn't lash out and tear into the priest as desired, due to a muzzle enclosed around his jaw. So, he bided his time. Rescue was out of the question. Dark creatures such as he received no aid from brethren. Sesshoumaru would just have to conserve energy for now.
The priest murmured a prayer that sent wrought iron hissing anew inside his flesh. Inwardly snarling, Sesshoumaru held himself still, refusing to show pain. His legs trembled slightly, giving him away.
Curse you. Curse you!
Wrath pumped through his veins, a siren song urging him to kill.
Satisfied that his work held strong, the head priest left; the sound of footsteps retreated up the stairs, leaving behind the lit torch.
At least that changed the scenery a little. Not that he had any reason to look upon it. Sesshoumaru panted hard the second he was left alone, sharp teeth clenching hard inside his jaw.
A quiet gasp caught his attention. Sesshoumaru froze. His nose twitched.
No scent?
Frowning, the Hellhound pried his eyelids open. Orange and black shapes shifted, blurry until someone's face came into focus.
Blue eyes gazed down at him. A woman with dark hair tumbling down her back slowly pried her hand away from her mouth.
"They really are cruel," she muttered, shocked features becoming grave. "I might as well refrain from asking if you're alright- since you clearly aren't," the stranger winced. "Sorry, that was insensitive."
Sesshoumaru blinked. What the Devil?
Her lips pursed, attention sliding to the iron stakes in his back. "I don't know how they managed to capture you. Surely that Priest can't have holy powers. He's about as pure as mud."
"...What are you?"
She paused, tilting her head and pushing dark hair behind her ear. "O-oh, that was rude of me, I didn't introduce myself, did I?" smiling, she straightened. "My name is Kagome Higurashi. Who are you?"
His question had been left unanswered, for he was largely uninterested in her name. He sneered, "Sesshoumaru."
"Nice to meet you, Sesshoumaru," she brought her hands together behind her back, smiling with only slight wariness. Her faded dress was slightly torn. Peasant wear. "I didn't expect you'd be able to talk."
"And I did not expect to be joined down here by a little lost lamb. Are you my dinner? They do not typically feed me." Saliva pooled in his mouth, drool pooling on the altar. His jaws parted, eyes glinting as they ran over her willowy form.
Kagome stepped away, huffing and crossing her arms. "While I sympathize, don't get rude. If you eat my soul then you really will be all alone- with no allies. You'll have eaten the only help you're going to receive in this place."
Sesshoumaru frowned as she walked out of his available sight, moving around his left side and picking up something from a shelf.
"You seek to give me aid? That seems counterintuitive for a soul as pure as yours."
He could smell it. The light radiating from within her. He knew her to be foreign from her features- and wondered how a priestess from a faraway land had arrived in such a miserable country rife with turmoil and evil; his hunting ground for the past few centuries.
She reappeared in his line of vision, holding a bowl of collected rainwater. She frowned, "I don't think 'pure' means 'doormat.' These men have caused a lot of harm. Harm should come back to them."
Red eyes cracked wider, interest lighting his red gaze. Kagome set the bowl down, resting a knee beside his jaw on the alter. "I'm trying to help you. Please don't eat me for it," with a wobbly smile, she reached for his muzzle.
Sesshoumaru held still, keen attention fixed on her every movement. Her deep blue eyes were pleasing, face quite beautiful in flickering torchlight. His dry tongue shifted within his mouth.
A Hellhound's purpose was to drag corrupted souls to the underworld. Kagome's radiated a strong, fierce glow.
The Japanese woman carefully grasped cool metal chains, pulling them off from around his face and tossing the muzzle aside.
Spittle-coated teeth immediately lunged- latching onto the coarse fabric of her modest dress, canines resting over her chest. Kagome gasped, hands grasping his jaw. Sesshoumaru tilted his head up, forcing her to lean over him slightly.
Crimson eyes glared up at her, growling lowly.
"What is your motivation, priestess?" a dark rumble growled inside her mind. "Tell me why I see black flames of revenge burning in the depths of your soul. A single blemish in your otherwise spotless self."
Kagome exhaled, and he felt her chest expand and fall with each breath. Gentle fingers ran over the silver fur on his face, cracking his eyes wider.
"The Dutch took me from my country a few years ago. Since then, I've been passed around to different places, picking up different languages. When I was forced onto a boat heading for this strange land- I didn't think anything more of it. I was to be the servant of a reputable house, but the priest of this church took issue with my foreign looks. After that, men dragged me here. You're not the only one who has suffered at their hands."
She withdrew her touch- and Sesshoumaru nearly tipped his head to chase it- unfamiliar with gentleness. Sparking holy powers then collected between her fingers, hovering close without making contact.
"I don't want to hurt you, in fact, I'd rather we were allies," the hushed words sounded genuine. "But I won't let you eat me easily either if that's what you're after. Let go."
Sesshoumaru searched her face, becoming entranced; Drunk off the sparking conviction there. What an odd, strong woman.
Letting out a breath of steam that whipped her hair back, Sesshoumaru relaxed his lower jaw, teeth unhooking from where they'd dug into the material of her clothes. He lowered her back to kneel on the altar, immediately diving for the water she'd provided instead.
Kagome caught her breath, holy powers fading away.
He lapped up every last drop, panting for more, wanting to sate the burning in his throat, but it would do for now. Sesshoumaru lifted his head, words firm with conviction as his chest rumbled.
"If you release me from my imprisonment, I will do your bidding for a time, woman. However, you should be aware of the consequences if you set me free."
She absentmindedly rubbed at the spot over her chest where his teeth had been, lips curving. "I know what'll happen to me, Hellhound," Kagome said quietly. "I accept the consequences."
Sesshoumaru bumped her leg with his nose, resting his head upon her thighs. “Then what do you command?”
"I want you to devour them," she murmured, gaze far away as she stroked mindful fingers through matted fur. "I believe in reincarnation, so I want you to prevent these terrible people from ever getting a second chance at life again. Eat them all- except the Head Priest. Him...you can drag home, to the deepest, darkest place available. Never let him be free from the shackles and iron bars you thrust inside him."
Sesshoumaru's breath shuddered. Their judgement aligned perfectly; and she'd spoken his desires aloud.
He had come across countless souls during his wrathful existence. He knew kind ones as well as those corrupted. This was one of the few times Sesshoumaru felt he'd witnessed a kind person pushed too far, beyond her breaking point. Now a deep well of dark emotion had pooled inside her, magnificent in its righteous fury.
Shifting, he dragged a hot, wet tongue up the length of Kagome's collarbone and neck, leaving a slick trail.
"Such pain...I can taste the ash on you," he purred, looking into her sad blue eyes. His voice hardened, incensed with renewed anger from her hurts and his own. "Free me, and it is gladly done."
Kagome shivered, before moving around his side. Gripping one iron bar embedded through his front leg that jutted into the alter below, she planted her knees wide.
"This is going to be a painful process, I'm sorry. W-will you survive the blood loss?"
The white demonic dog flashing her a jagged smile. "Just who do you think you are talking to?"
With a nod, Kagome steeled herself. Giving a hard yank that sent her stumbling backwards- the long, gruelling process began. Only when the agony died down would a monster with blood-red eyes emerge from the bowels of the church.
And all Hell broke loose.
-----
The church tower collapsed through the roof that fateful night. Bloodshed had begun, soaking the air with a coppery taste that quickly became dwarfed by fire. Earlier rainfall could not deter it- nothing stood in its blazing, enraged path.
White flames roared around the silver monster. He chased men down the church aisle in a frenzied hunger, catching them in his jaws. Of course, he saved the best for last.
The Head Priest trembled against a broken wall while screams pervaded the smoky air.
Sesshoumaru turned, panting. A red tongue lolled, snaking up to lick his bloodied maw.
With a yelp, the man tried to scramble away- only for his robes to be snagged on a broken beam. Heavy paws collided with his back, teeth latching into his clothes.
Within the burning depths of the church, a roaring inferno opened up. The Priest clawed and scrambled at blistering ground, cobblestone turning into scolding cinders beneath his palms. Frightened screams rang out as he was dragged backwards, Sesshoumaru descending with him down a winding, fiery path into the earth.
Everything collapsed inwards with one final groan of wood as structures toppled, the building completely caving into a burning wreck.
Kagome stood alone on a hillside, watching the entire thing unfold. She then smoothed her skirts, crouching by an unmarked, mass grave.
"I hope...you'll feel avenged now," she said softly.
She did not run nor scream. Instead, Kagome waited patiently to meet her fate, setting some flowers down.
A white dog demon covered in patches of ash approached silently. He sat beside her, neither acknowledging the violence he'd just committed.
"This is where you are buried?" he asked, gazing intently at her.
The ghost smiled wanly. "Buried makes it sound like we had a funeral. I was dumped in this hole with a few other women after we were sentenced as witches and burned at the stake. Nothing was left but my charred remains," her voice wobbled. Kagome made to wipe some tears- his sticky tongue licking them away before she could.
She gentled, touching his bloodied jaw. "H-how are your wounds?"
"All but mended," Sesshoumaru drew closer, humid breath fanning over her neck. "You know what must happen now."
Kagome laughed cynically. "Mn, because I'm a corrupt soul, you'll be dragging me to Hell too," she brushed a hand over the fur at his shoulder. Blue eyes hesitated for a moment, afraid of something entirely human.
"Will it...hurt?" she whispered.
If it were possible for a demon dog to ease his expression into something a touch less cold and hungry, Sesshoumaru managed to achieve something almost warm. He didn't answer at first, allowing a moment of silence to stretch between them. When he finally spoke again, his speech resounded inside her head as a soft grumble.
"No. Not for you."
"Oh, I'm glad to hear that," a breath rushed out of her dead lungs, arms wrapping around herself as she glanced at the grave. "I've had enough pain, thank you."
"Indeed, you and I both."
A lily-white hand was offered down to her, sliding into her vision. Kagome's gaze drew up to a tall male.
The yellow moon looming behind his head gave him a halo effect; its gentle glow lining his face and dazzling her. Silvery hair split down broad shoulders, hanging like fine royal threads fit for a King. He wore black robes that billowed like dragon smoke.
Sesshoumaru's inhuman face smiled in an unnerving fashion, though she could tell the intent behind it- the desire to reassure her despite evidence of death on his robes. "Shall we go?" he asked in rich, clear tones.
Kagome stared up at the demon's handsome features. Smiling, she grasped his clawed hand without fear, allowing him to pull her up.
"You didn't have to change into such a pleasing form. I was coming with you anyway."
"My form is pleasing?" thin lips curved, tucking her hand into the crook of his arm, Sesshoumaru strolled with her down the hill, a gateway opening up within the earth as a huge chasm, welcoming him home.
"Oh hush, you know it is," Kagome smiled tiredly, walking with the Hellhound away from the fire and brimstone burning behind them. "So...will I be punished down there?" her voice was almost lost, spoken so softly.
Glowing eyes smiled. "There is a place some call the Elysian Fields. I will take you to them."
She stiffened, blinking rapidly to expel the salty tears of relief and gratitude welling up in her eyes. Kagome stopped within the cavern of the underworld, causing him to halt with her. Drenched under harsh shadows of the earth about to swallow them whole, his eyes shone red like glittering jewels.
"I suppose I'll need a guard too," she said evenly. "To make sure I don't escape. I'm a very wicked soul, after all. A heretic."
Sesshoumaru flashed his teeth at her. "Hn, the worst kind. I will see to it personally since this one is best suited for such a difficult task."
Smiling with relief, Kagome willingly walked with him into the jaws of Hell.
A Big, Fat, Disastrous, Idiotic Mistake // Nozel Silva
...5.4k words :/
(i wrote this on wattpad, not copying, just moved it here bc i liked the tumblr community a lot better)
erm ye. enjoy?
------------
You made a mistake.
You made a big, fat, disastrous, idiotic mistake.
You'd made this mistake nearly six months before, and it was still haunting you to this day.
You decided to be a member of the Silver Eagle Squad.
Why was this a big, fat, disastrous, idiotic mistake, you may ask?
"Wow, I didn't think a commoner would last this long in this place, congratulations!" your superior chuckled a s you walked out of your room, your superior chuckled.
Well, because you were a commoner in a squad full of arrogant noblemen.
____
You're not sure why Captain Nozel chose you in the first place; you were the one he despised the most. Even your breathing irritated him — not that you felt any differently about him, of course.
He was without a doubt the most evil person on the face of the earth, w ith his menacing purple eyes and demonic braided hair.
Evil.
You were strong, and you worked hard to gain even the tiniest bit of his approval, but no matter how hard you tried, he dismissed you with a sneer.
Even now, when your squad reported to him after completing a mission, retrieving a fortune, and saving hundreds of lives, the majority of which was due to your magic—which your squad leader, bless him, pointed out—he still rolled his eyes when your name was mentioned. Which you took offence to and glared at him angrily, which he matched for the remainder of the brief meeting.
When your squad leader finished the report, he hummed his approval and dismissed you all, so you ended your glaring match and walked away.
You felt sick by even being in the same room with him.
yep, a big, fat, disastrous, idiotic mistake.
____
For the third time, you loudly knocked on Captain Silva's big office door, hurting your knuckle in the process. You knew he was in there because he never leaves unless he's on a mission, being the workaholic and perfectionist he was.
You didn't come here voluntarily, oh no, you would never.
You had to request a day or two off from your captain since your sister was getting married, she wanted you to be the best maid, and you were not going to miss your baby sister's wedding for the world.
Due to said circumstances, you were forced to endure the agony of seeing his face once more, or at least the part of his face that wasn't obscured by that unusual braid.
You were beginning to wonder who told him it was a good idea to style his hair like that, the devil? Because it was not, in fact, a good idea, but it was the braid that saved you the trouble of looking at his entire face. you began to wonder; did he braid it himself?
You laughed to yourself at the thought of your enraged captain braiding his hair like a little girl in front of a mirror, but your thoughts was cut off by the devil himself.
"How long do you intend to laughing to yourself like a lunatic?" When the door opened, you looked up to see your captain staring down at you with his trademark sneer on his lips. And with that, you smile vanished.
"sorry, I was just having a funny thought." you said, rubbing the back of your neck in embarrassment. He gave you a blank stare.
Great, you reasoned, he thinks I'm crazy, just another excuse to despise me.
"What do you want?" he asked. "Or do you enjoy wasting my time?" he snarled.
rude, you thought.
rude, you thought.
"Hey! I had to knock on the door three times before you heard me. My hand hurts." you said, it wasn't uncommon of you to talk back to the captain, you had a short temper and he had a large ego.
you said, it wasn't uncommon of you to talk back to the captain, you had a short temper and he had a large ego.
"You did?" he asks, and you gape at him, because he heard you laughing softly to yourself ( quietly, may I add) but not you pounding on the door? "Shut your mouth, it's incredibly rude."
''you're one to talk'' you mumbled under your breath.
"Mumbling is rude" he sneered, disapprovingly looking at you, "I don't like repeating myself, what do you want?"
You were so irritated that you almost forgot why you came here. You took a deep breath in and out to relax, then resumed speaking.
"Captain, I have a question for you." You said something, he rolled his eyes and went into his office; you followed behind him, not having time to properly look around but judging by his desk, he was certainly busy, almost making you feel bad for bothering him.
"You see, my sister's wedding is coming up in a few days, and I was invited to attend—" you sensed his glare but continued to talk, "-but I need to take a day off to do so." You finished quickly and waited for a response.
"Your vacation days aren't for another two weeks." "You're asking me if you should leave your duties to attend a party?" he said after a brief pause.
He said it as if it were the most ridiculous suggestion ever made.
"It's not just a party! It's a wedding reception! They're very serious."
"I'm sure anything like this will be thrilling to a commoner—"
"excuse me? It has nothing to do with mme being a commoner; if you got married, wouldn't you want your siblings to attend?" you questioned, hands clenched.
"Well, I'm sure my wedding will actually be important—" he dismissively said.
"And this isn't important?" you cut him off. "Oh right, I forgot, I wouldn't understand because I'm a commoner," You said it jokingly, but you were truly offended. Nozel's eyes softened slightly as if noticing, but you were too upset to notice.
Nozel composed himself, "precisely, I'm so glad you understand-"
"I doubt you could ever get married anyway." you mumbled, you expected him to say something typical like 'mumbling is rude', but he heard you clearly.
"what's that supposed to mean?" he seethed, stepping closer in an attempt to intimidate you.
"I mean, I doubt any woman would willingly get married to you!" you yelled, your words seemed to anger him more.
"Oh please, no sane man would ever stay in a relationship with you," he spat back, rolling his eyes, and pinching his temples, "i shouldn't be wasting my breath on such a worthless commoner"
Worthless commoner...
why every argument you had ended with him calling you a worthless commoner?
yep... a big, fat, disastrous, idiotic mistake.
Both of you were angry, you hadn't intended for the conversation to yet again be another petty argument, but you should've known it wouldn't be easy convincing your captain to do anything.
You were both mad; you hadn't intended for the discussion to devolve into yet another petty argument, but you should've known it would be difficult to persuade your captain to do anything.
"Please, it's important to me..." lowering your voice in the hopes that just being nice would sway him, but he simply glared at you. you sighed and your shoulders slumped, admitting defeat.
You turned away to leave when you heard your captain sigh behind you, "I'll give you the day off," you snapped back up and turned to face your captain, who avoided your gaze, "...but I'm taking away your next holiday."
You sighed once more, knowing that there would be a catch, but you were grateful nevertheless.
"Thank you!" you yelled, Nozel flinched from the volume, you were so happy you could almost hug him.
For once, you saw the captain in a less evil light.
"Are you trying to make my ears bleed" he yelled "Why are you still in my office, get out!"
...never mind.
______
"Did I allow you to speak with me, (Y/N)?" You were unfazed by your captain's snide remarks because you had grown accustomed to them.
"It was just a question. You're so sensitive, yikes", I mumbled. His head snapped towards me
"I'm not sensitive, and you should know, mumbling is rude, " he glared at you.
you stared at him intently, at first, he tried to ignore your gaze but it soon became too obvious. he sighed, rubbing his temples,"What do you want?"
"For you to answer my question," you said bluntly, your eyes narrowing as you awaited his response.
"No, it was an idiotic question." he said, rolling his eyes, "now, go away." he ordered.
You didn't, instead continuing to look at him; he tried to ignore you again, but your stare became too distracting for him; why? He didn't have a clue. Normally, he'd threaten an annoying member of his team.
He glared at you and asked, "Is there something on my face?"
you tilted your head with a grin, unfazed by his glare, "yep."
his eyes widened in horror, had he gotten food around his mouth? or maybe dirt? the idea of dirt on his face irritated him, but there was not mirror for him to check. it was vital that he was always presented as a noble at all times.
You chuckled at his panic; it was unusual for him to lose his composure, and it made you laugh that something on his face had caused him to panic, of all things. It was good to see him not be so serious, you had to admit.
You may be wondering why you and your captain were alone together, not fighting or even attempting to kill each other. You were selected to go on a mission with your squad of three, but due to the gravity of the situation, your captain and another squad were forced to intervene.
The majority of the task had been accomplished, but you and your team had underestimated the complexity of the building from which you were retrieving stolen goods, and as a result, a few of you got lost.
To make matters worse, some of the building had begun to crumble, obstructing the exit from which you and your captain had entered.
You considered using your magic to blow one of the walls open, but it would just cause more parts of the building collapsing, and the majority of your squad was also trapped inside.
So, you and Nozel had been locked in the same room for an hour and had grown tired of arguing, so you decided to break the silence by asking him about the large braid that covered his ears.
"Well?" he started, "Are you going to tell me what's on my face?" Nozel asked impatiently, you chuckled and decided to mess with him because you and Nozel had made a sort of truce.
"Let me help," you said, walking over to the much taller man and reaching your hands up to help.
you lifted the braid from his face, so it was no longer covering it, and smirked "there, much better."
you looked at him, you had never realized how attractive your captain truly was since you have never really seen his face, but he was indeed very attractive, you wondered why he covered his face all the time if he looked like that.
"What makes you think you have the right to touch me, " he spat, letting go of your wrist, "A commoner getting comfortable with a noble, ridiculous" he seethed.
"Here we go again," you muttered, feeling dejected. He had to spoil your fun with the noble chat, of course.
You gave up, frowning and walking away from him. Of course, this wasn't the first time he'd done anything like this, but it always bothered you that it didn't matter what you di,d because you were a commoner.
Isn't it possible that you should just be friends? Could he ask you simple questions like, "How was your day?" or "How are you doing this fine morning?"
'How did the wedding go?' When Nozel asked you a question, your head shot up and you turned to look at him sceptically. Maybe he was making fun of you, or maybe he had read your mind.
"Sorry?'' you asked in case you misheard him, he didn't look at you, but you knew that look of annoyance was directed at you as he rolled his eyes.
He grunted and turned away from you, adding, "I don't like repeating myself." But after a while, he repeated himself anyway, "How was the wedding?"
Although it was a simple question, it still shocked you, but you answered anyway ''Uh, I-It was good, and fun... thanks for asking'' you added at the end, his shoulders stiffened.
it was silent for a while, neither of you spoke. there was a sudden, awkward change of atmosphere, not used to the casual confrontation you had.
After a while, you asked, "Nozel, can I ask you a question?"
"Not another one-''
"It's not about your hair, I promise!" you told him, a little smile on your face, amused at how such a small matter could annoy him so much.
"Ask quickly," he ordered, making you anxious because you weren't sure you wanted the answer.
he noticed your hesitation ''Well...?''
''why did you raise your hand?'' you forced the question out, anticipating his snarky remark, "to be a part of the squad, i mean"
"I know what you mean," he snapped, but the expression on his face was unreadable, he looked at you for a long while, ''why would you ask such a stupid question. You were strong.''
Your gaze grew serious and you pursed your lips before saying, ''but you hate me.'' he matched your hard gaze, ''you've always hated me since i was a commoner. so why would you pick a commoner for your squad''
Your staring match turned into a glaring match, ''I already answered your question, because you were strong''
''liar,'' you scoffed, ''there were other strong commoners, some stronger than me, and you didn't pick them-''
''-Because they weren't like you,'' he sighed angrily.
"How?" you pestered.
"Why does it matter?"
"Because it does. how? you continued to ask, it got on his nerves.
"I saw something in you that I hadn't seen before." I had a gut feeling when I saw you that I wanted you on my squad by my s-"
He abruptly cut himself off, his eyes widening slightly as though he had noticed something. You, too, fell quiet. You hadn't expected his outburst, and you had to confess that for the first time since joining the team, a feeling of acceptance filled your chest.
it was you first time seeing Nozel so flustered, but he quickly straightened his back, ''I needed you in my squad under my leadership. what sort of captain would i be if i ignored your power for such a petty reason.'' he shook him head ''But it it may have been a mistake.''
His last remark felt like a pang to your chest, hurting you much more than you thought it should've, ''w-what?''
He immediately recognized the hurt look on your face, his words had never done that to you before, and he felt a cloud of guilt descend upon him, but before he could respond, you heard the distant shouts of your squad mates, who had found you.
if only you could take back that big, fat, disastrous, idiotic mistake.
________
You had kept your distance from the captain, choosing not to bother him any further. So, instead of your usual glaring match, you kept your head down while reporting a task to him. You didn't object when he made you work extra hours or took away your free time for no apparent reason. When he insulted you, you didn't even react.
You were unwelcome on this team, you hoped that by joining it, your reputation would improve. Although it did, the other members of your squad rarely picked fights with you, and the mean looks were not quite as bad as they had been when you first joined, your reputation with your captain remained the same, no matter how much you contributed.
he didn't know how to react, the person you were now was completely different to the (Y/N) he knew, and he was the reason behind it.
So, when you gave him the letter, he should've anticipated it. "What is this?" he asked, furiously reading it over and over, as if that would change what was written.
well maybe if you stopped talking and actually read it- you though, keeping your calm, cringing as he crumpled the letter you put extra effort in to make your handwriting all nice-
"It says-"
"-I know what it says, I can read," he said angrily, rising from his desk and staring at you incredulously. "You can't be serious, a squad change?" he asked fiercely.
"That's what i wrote" you said bluntly.
"-I know what you wrote!", he yelled, you flinched, not expecting him to get worked up over something like this.
''why are you so angry? Captain Roselei said i could join her squad by the end of the month if I still wanted to, i just need your approval-" you tried to explain.
"I know what she said, i read the letter-" he cut you off again' "and I don't care", he took a deep breath in and sat down again, pinching his temples. "I cant accept" he said.
You instantly grew annoyed, "What, why? You can't do that! -"
"Actually, i can. I can't have you leave my squad, what will happen if the other captains found out one my own members hated it so much, she had to leave. I'll look like a joke!" he yelled back.
"What? You'll have one less commoner on your squad, that good, right? It's not like you appreciate anything i do here anyway-"
"I already said-"
"Is it really so difficult for me to earn a little bit of approval from you, even if it's just a 'well done'? I just wanted to impress my Captain, but it's obvious that he doesn't want me here! You really didn't think this would happen, come on?" You said back your voice raising slightly.
"You can't be treated like a child here, i won't treat you like one-"
"I thought you would be happy" you muttered, "You said it, yourself, you made a mistake."
Something flashed across his eyes, but it was unclear what it was. His face softened, and he began, "(Y/N)...", but his words trailed off.
"It's all right, we both did." "I shouldn't have joined this team," you said, he scrunched his brows at your confession. "I regret it too.". After all this time of keeping it in, it felt nice to finally say it, but you quickly regretted it when you saw his expression.
You had never seen him upset, but it looked like you had hurt him. a part of you thought he deserved it, but another part of you ached to see him like that.
His sad expression faded quickly, and he was replaced by a stern one. He took another glance at the letter before crumpling it up into a ball and tossing it behind him carelessly, "Hey!" you were about to yell, your sympathy quickly replaced with anger.
He replied softly, "I'm sorry," but it wasn't about throwing the letter away, and it had you silent. "I made a mistake; I shouldn't have treated you that way." "I'm sorry for everything," he apologised once more. "I'd take it back if I could."
"Take what back, picking me?" you asked sadly, "I know-"
"No, not that," he said, his voice becoming softer. "I'm sorry for allowing myself to-" he stopped himself before looking at you, shaking his head and saying "forget it, you wouldn't understand... you can leave the squad if you want."
"No, not that. " he said, quieter. "I regret allowing myself to-" he stopped himself before looking at you, shaking his head and saying "forget it, you wouldn't understand... you can leave the squad if you want."
he waved his hand dismissively, but you weren't leaving, "help me understand. I'm not staying in this squad unless you give me a reason to stay." you stated firmly, and he looked at you with yet another blank expression.
"You wouldn't understand." he repeated and you were growing annoyed.
"Then I'll leave" you stated, waiting for some sort of reaction, but there was none. you stayed in the same spot, just waiting for him to try convince you not to go,.
but he didn't, you weren't sure what you expected, but with a defeated sigh, you turned to leave. there was no place for you here anyway.
as you reached the door you heard him ask quietly, "do you truly have no reason to stay?" you looked back at him, and despite his strong, cold facade, he seemed so vulnerable.
"What?" you asked.
"I don't like repeating myself," he said before repeating himself, "Is there no excuse for you to stay?" he asked. "Nothing?...No one?" he enquired hesitantly.
At that exact moment, the evil Captain you've been so desperate to escape from made your heart swell. There was someone, you think. But you shook your head, slapping yourself internally from the thought.
"What do you mean earlier, at or mission, that you didn't regret picking me?" you asked, dodging his question with one of your own, remembering what he said earlier.
"You're avoiding my question."
"Your avoiding mine" you said stubbornly, and he rolled his eyes, something that made you smile, and with a reluctant sigh he answered.
"I never regretted picking you. Not once." He snapped quickly, trying to get the topic over with.
"But you said-"
"I know what i said," he cut you off, again. he avoided your gaze, as if regretting bringing up this topic in the first place.
"I never regretted picking you for my squad, in fact I think it was one of the best decisions of my life." your heart stopped and you stared at him, it must've been hard for him to admit, as he looked down at the papers on his desk, about you didn't see the pink tint on his cheeks.
but rather than teasing him, you asked "Is that the truth?" and he continued to look away.
"Take it or leave it, it doesn't matter, i don't care." he said half-heartedly.
"should i stay?" You continued to press; a familiar mischievous spark rose from withing you.
"W-What? I don't care what you-"
" You didnt think i should leave earlier" you asked, pointing to the scrunched-up letter he threw away.
As much as Nozel tried to hide his embarrassment from his tantrum earlier, he couldn't hide the now obvious fact that he wanted- no, needed you here. he slowly looked up at you, wanting to glare but as soon as he spotted the blush on your cheeks, he couldn't retaliate.
after a minute of silence, he answered "It's the truth, what i said about you being on my squad" he admitted, and you felt your heart beat faster as you saw your captain in a strange new light.
"i told you already its your choice if you want to stay."
you rephrased the question, "do you want me to stay?"
When he saw you were being totally serious, his head shot up at you, his brows furrowed. His eyes opened, and he flushed red from ear to ear. He opened and closed his mouth several times, unable to come up with a response that would not further embarrass him.
"Just say yes or no, Nozel" you told him, noticing his flustered state, normally he would at once correct you to call him captain, but at this moment in time, neither of you cared.
You were not sure where your sudden change of heart started, but all you wanted to hear was on word, one simple word and you would be happy, and upon hearing his name roll of your tongue so causally, he knew exactly what he wanted.
"Yes."
his reply made the room fall to silence yet again.
he wanted you to stay?
"Please stay." he asked, as if answering your question and you weren't sure who the man in front of you was.
All you could do was stare at him, and he stared at you. his eyes were beautiful, you realized.
But eventually, the silence became too much to bear, and not knowing how to reply, you left his office holding your breath. He did not stop you, and watched you as you left.
Was talking to him a mistake?
_________
You foolishly assumed that talking to him would clear things up and convince you that you needed to leave, but you left with far more questions than before.
Everything you could think about was how much he wanted you to stay.
But why now, exactly? Why would he reveal anything right now?
You couldn't get the thoughts out of your head, so you buried yourself in work. You had until the end of the week to determine whether or not you wanted to stay.
"well done, all of you," Captain Nozel said to your team, and you met his gaze, but he averted his gaze first.
Despite the fact that he pretended the discussion never existed, he treated you differently, as though you were now on an equal level with him. you continued to stare at him with confusion, which would normally turn into a glaring battle between the two of you, but he avoided you gaze. The air felt heavy.
You shuffled nervously on your feet before being dismissed, and as the rest of the squad left, he called out your name, and you turned to look at him, heart racing, but he shut his mouth, as though at a loss for words.
"Yes?" You asked expectedly, he shook his head.
"I-... decent job today," he said, which admittedly surprised you and almost made you feel good.
"Thank you, Captain," you replied cortly.
What was the first thing he was going to say? You know you should probably leave, but your feet were firmly planted in place, and you wanted to ask if he had something else to say, maybe an explanation.
When he noticed your hesitation, he asked, "Is there anything you need?"
"Uhm... no, not necessarily," you said, forcing yourself to leave because you didn't want to be a burden any longer.
"Have you decided?" he asked abruptly as you reached the door. "I mean, if you want to stay."
You turned around again, but this time you chose not to look him in the eyes. "I think so, Captain.''
There was a silence, he obviously expected you to tell him your decision, but you couldn't, there was a lump in your throat that wouldn't let you speak.
Judging by the silence, the way you avoided his gaze and the fidgeting of you fingers, he knew what your choice was.
"I see..." he started, his voice laced with... sadness?
"I wish you the best, (Y/N)." he said shortly, there was more he wanted to say, much more, but he couldn't bring himself to say it.
you still didn't leave, and asked "Will you tell me the truth?", the question caught him off guard, and his eyebrows furrowed.
"The truth?" he asked, you met his gaze finally. it became harder nd harder to look into his lavender eyes.
"What is it that you regret? if it wasn't picking me?" you asked, recalling his outburst during your mission, but the continued to brush it off as something not important, but by the stiffening if his shoulders, you knew that was a lie. "If I'm leaving, can't you answer that one question?"
"...You're too stubborn for your own good." he dodged the question, but he held your gaze. He was right, you were stubborn, and by the look in your eye, he knew you weren't leaving without an answer.
"I suppose an explanation for my behavior is needed," and he turned away from you, not willing for you to see the blush on his face, and you smiled at his compliance.
"I didn't, as I've explained, regret picking you. I, I saw you and i knew i wanted you in my squad, but looking back on it, i regret being so selfish" he started.
selfish?
"... I knew as a captain i shouldn't have let my emotions influence my decisions, it was too irrational, to hasty. But i had what you call a gut feeling, that i would never regret picking you, having you by me, by my...by my side-" he paused, not sure if he should continue.
oh.
Your heart stopped beating, and as you tried to over analyze the meaning of his words, you knew that what he had confessed to you was that he-
by his side? you repeated in your head, you didn't dare to say anything out loud.
"I regret treating you the way i did, truly i do. i do not apologize often, (Y/N), but you deserve one. I am sorry for being so selfish. I just couldn't forgive myself for falling for my squad members, a commoner nonetheless." He admitted, and that is when you felt yourself hold your breath.
Captain Nozel, your captain... is he falling for you?
Is it possible that I'm falling in love with you?
You weren't expecting an apology, but this was unexpected. You hadn't asked for this when you asked for the truth. But it didn't bother you in the least. Was it as if this was what you... desired?
The devilish, arrogant, crude man you hated with all your heart had been in love with you, it was hard to wrap your head around, really, but what confused the most was why-
why did you feel happy?
" I thought it was horrible, really, a Captain, a noble, and a commoner. Perhaps that's why i treated you the way i did. I was ashamed." he said, and you felt yourself grow disappointed, your heart dropped slightly.
"Y-you were ashamed of me?" you said quietly, not anticipating you pathetic you sounded.
i knew it, you thought.
at the sound of your voice, he finally turned to look at you, "Of myself... I didn't care, but it didn't matter. if only i had known how pointless it was to- but i was too caught up with what i had been taught, i only now realize that it doesn't matter."
you didn't know whether to be happy or upset, angry or elated. Half of you felt giddy, the confession made your face grow hot and your heart beat faster, but the other half of you felt mad, mad at him for treating you that way when things could have been so different.
"Commoner or not, the feelings never went away. But I suppose it doesn't matter after all, you will be leaving soon." he said, his voice growing sad, and his lips turning into a soft smile.
You don't think he's ever smiled around you like that.
"Do you still regret falling in love with me?" you asked quickly, not knowing why you couldn't just leave.
He looked at you for a long time, before replying "...No, I don't. And i never will." he said.
"And what if i stayed?" you asked, "What would you do?"
would it be possible? How would your teammates react, his family, the nobles, if he dared pursue a relationship with a commoner.
"It doesn't matter." he brushed off, as if the conversation was now too much for him, "You're leaving"
"But what if i stayed?" you asked again, he stared at you for a long time.
you knew he was thinking carefully about what he should say, his eyebrows furrowed, he clenched and unclenched his fists multiple times, seemingly nervous. his cheeks were dusted with a light pink, and this time, you saw it.
Nozel was nervous, it was a sight you never though you would see, and it made you nervous too.
"then... woud..you" he mumbled and you couldnt hear what he had said, you were shocked by this more timid version of nozel.
"Mumbling is rude" you said in a cheeky voice, the atmosphere felt less tense as a smile found its way to both of your lips as you turned his own words on him. he met youreyes and saw the blush that also covered your cheeks.
"i said, then i would love you" he repeated with a newfound confidence, before walking towards you and closing the distance between the both of you.
