As someone who like... fairly regularly has had medical problems requiring... fairly frequent appointment bookings, it really is crazy how "post" covid (where lots of medical staff died, quit, etc) has made it sooo much harder to get timely appointments

Like I could normally book an appointment with my regular doctor within two weeks and now it's a month and a half. When I was trying to book an ultrasound for my fucked up leg, they offered me an appointment over a month after the injury?? Which would be effectively useless, btw.

I know emergency-emergencies can still get appointments at a more reasonable point but like... wow, we really fucking knee-capped the entire medical industry by not taking the whole pandemic thing seriously.

Like... more people need more medical care because of long covid (and "short" covid) and there are less people to offer care... because a lot either died or couldn't handle working in an industry that very obviously didn't care if they died or were overworked.
