I'm totally not going insane over this... I commissioned the brilliant, talented @rosenkranz-does-things to paint me Jenny and Vastra and boy did they deliver!!!! Roz I love this so much I'm biting cardboard box like a feral cat over this.

The scene is from a fanfic of mine dealing with a first meeting between Jenny and Vastra. "Crimson"

The human’s hand brushed over Vastra’s throat, where the blade had hit her. So gentle, so much tenderness. Vastra blinked a few times to process the touch. “Did he hurt you?,” the woman asked, her voice shaking. She had just seen Vastra tear apart four apes, and her only concern was the wound Vastra had almost suffered? Vastra wanted to shove her away or hold her close; she didn’t know which. Glancing down, her bloodstained hands suddenly seemed so wrong to touch this human with.
