#BUT I DONT HAVE S SSR LUKE CARD

yknow, i really love the SR cards where the main plot is basically just NXX Boy Goes And Does A Thing, And He SUCKS AT IT!!!

vyn has SR Mercury In Retrograde where he does a fantastic job being absolute ass at household plumbing. marius has SR Overtone where he gets an A++++++ for being the last guy you wanna lend your guitar to, because hes really bad at playing the dang guitar. and at first i didn't know what artem's card was that followed this pattern but sam @samsspambox blessedly informed me that it's SR Thin Veil, the paywalled SR i dont have yet. and in that card story artem fucking SUCKS at PUPPETS

(sidenote: i generally weep at paywalled top-up cards but the concept of basically having to pay for artem's cringe is So Very funny to me)

but now here is where the injustice becomes apparent.....vyn, marius, and artem each have an SR Epic Fail: The Card Story

BUT WHERE IS LUKE'S?????????

to avoid any misunderstandings, here are the traits of what, to me, makes up an "SR Epic Fail":

one Main Thing is the thing our beloved nxx boy will suck at and what and it's also generally Main Focus of the whole card story (which then later leads to a sweeter core message about vulnerability and love and being okay with not being perfect etc)

our boy has to suck In The Moment. not in a flashback, not in a referenced past anecdote, no no. i want to have to tap through the entire excruciating scene/s of him failing at whatever hes doing

the story format has to be in a contained card story and not a recurring-but-brief theme in a personal story

with this criteria in place, it is IMMEDIATELY apparent that luke is the only one without an SR Epic Fail. the closest story instances would be the following:

SSR Through The Heavens (the skateboard card) since he fails at being a normal not-hypervigilant human being and also the NSB makes fun of him with memes, but this doesnt count because it wasn't the Main Focus of the story, there was a whole lot of other stuff going on and the Main Focus was the skateboarding which he did awesome at

some past anecdotes and flashbacks in SR How I Remember You (the luke blindfold card) about how luke sucks at drawing and sucks at charades, but this doesnt count because the drawing was just referenced in a few sentences and the charades fail was a brief flashback. it's also not the Main Focus of the story as well

his general inability/difficulty with cooking that is a recurring theme across his personal stories doesnt count because it's not a card, and thus isnt eligible

this is terrible. this is horrid. i love luke and i want a card thats all about him messing up at a minor activity. i want a full SR Luke Fucks Up At Cooking where the focus is what it says on the tin

i can even see the story so clearly in my mind's eye. it'd be so easy. maybe luke tries to make gingerbread man cookies but accidentally ends up with a gingerbread massacre.

luke mentions hes gonna bake and mc is excited about it because it seems he put a lot of thought and research and prep into it, maybe it actually starts with a scene of them shopping for ingredients together, and theyre both looking forward to luke's baking! but when it actually happens hes like "oh sorry a case came up, dont come over to my place anymore!!" which is sus

mc comes over anyway the next day to pick up some stuff she forgot and luke is there acting awfully nervous and his whole BUILDING smells of burnt gingerbread but there are no gingerbread treats to be found. luke keeps evading until mc finds The Massacre in a plastic container box haphazardly shoved into one of the kitchen cupboards

and it's an absolute baked-goods crime scene in there. none of the gingerbread men look like they were ever even men or homonids of any kind to begin with, it instead looks like all the dough just came together in the oven to create an amorphous Blob with the odd "limb" sticking out here and there. what luke has created is a gingerbread abomination.

mc stares at the gingebread abyss, and it stares back.

upon further investigation, mc even finds slight burn marks around the oven's door too and luke has his face in his hands, his shame is IMMENSE, just about as immense as the aroma of gingerbread treats everywhere. he was hiding it because he was worried that he got her so hyped up for the whole thing that it'd be SUCH a disappointment to her that he fucked it up!

and mc is like "hey no it's okay, as long as it tastes good, it doesnt matter how bad it looks!" and then she breaks off a piece from the gingerbread monstrosity and eats faster than luke can warn her "NO NO DONT DO IT---"

it tastes like shit

anyway they go out to get desserts from cafe instead and mc reassures luke that she obviously still loves him even if he created a baked treats atrocity and broke the genevabread convention. she tells him that if hes having trouble or if he fails, his instinct shouldnt be to hide it all and avoid her but to let her know and so she can help out, because she wants to be there for the wins and for the losses, for the good days and the bad. luke then goes all blushy grateful happy and they kiss and love is real.

the end. the post-story text conversation can go something along the lines of

luke: okay so i figured out why my gingerbread men went nuclear

mc: oh? why?

luke: i....misread "tsp" as "tbsp".........every time

mc: HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA

Man after reading the previous ask i just wanted to commiserate a bit.

Even though lukerosa is my otp since launch, i’ve always been most charmed by artem, who was so awkward and sincere and sweet. I adore how supportive artem and rosa have been of each other from the very beginning and in any version of events i like to imagine that they grow to become close friends and partners-in-crime-fighting. Their immense mutual respect and admiration is just a great foundation for a relationship.

Now, I have more of an attachment to the pre-1st anniv cards because i’m a sucker for mutual pining, but i’ve enjoyed the post-anniv cards too because it felt like a natural progression of their relationship. To find out that the writing quality for artem’s stories eventually gets worse and worse is very disheartening. When the writing starts out amazing but becomes terrible later on, it is always worse because it feels like a betrayal.

I’m going to keep playing ToT especially since he’s not my only fave, but I really hope the writing gets better again, artem deserves only the best, most tightly-written, and consistent characterisation. And I hope even more that his soon-to-be-announced 3rd anniv card is good — if it can redeem the previous bad cards… well that’s the dream.

so i was going to answer my asks in the morning (it's been a long day for me!) but this ask was literally the sweetest thing i have ever read, i had to respond asap ;_;

as a fellow lukerosa enjoyer (their interactions are always such a treat!!! they're the best genre of childhood friends to lovers due to that eight year time skip and the draaaama that comes with it. i still think about luke's personal story 4 to this day i SWEARRRR), genuinely thank you for the kind words, it really means a lot!! 😭😭

i totally agree with your thoughts on artem's earlier cards, you took the words right out of my mouth :,,) we're also on the exact same wavelength of the pre-1st anniversary cards - they're my absolute most cherished favorites. entwined fate, lost gold, sickness and in health, skadi, railroad, first birthday, aaaa..... some of my absolute favorites.. the original personal stories 1-4 are my favorites across the board too (my favorites definitely being artem's and luke's !!)

gosh yeah i think that's why i'm so upset! i genuinely and truly adore artem as a character, and i adore his older cards. this is to the point where i used all of my saved s-chips on the previous select-an-ssr banner to get his railroad card instead of his second anniversary card!!

to make it even more baffling, i haven't noticed a quality drop like this in the other boys?! if anyone reading is a fan of the other three, feel free to correct me if i'm wrong, but luke, marius, and vyn's cards all stay very consistent personality and plot wise imo. i can't help but wonder if something happened to artem's writing team?? the writing literally feels so different, i can't explain it. it's like. a lack of understanding of his charm. they dont understand why people liked him, or any of the more nuanced aspects to his character and his dynamic with rosa.

i miss them being Best Partners with artem's dry sense of humor and rosa cheering him on over the most mundane of a shit (like posing against a wall HAHA) and them taking their time and artem opening up and becomimg genuine friends who make jokes and tease each other and the strong mutual respect and consent and ;-;;; sniff

anyway back to the OG diagrams, you can see i only have 2 envy cards that i use, despite me having that sin the most (along with greed). whats not in this document is my beloved Luke 21 B-day SSR, my strongest card TO DATE. STILL. its somehow way stronger than any other UR so theres not really a need for envy cards all that much =w=bb

Aside from levi, the only other guy who's card i use more than not is simeon. I think thats because 2 of his UR's (the ones i still use) go al the way back to when i first started. so, early ur's, very well leveled from the start, and i just kept using em.

you'll see that i have more cards of Levi that i use than that there are actual sins. this is because im a sucker for him and want his pretty cards to be leveled. maybe they have an outfit, maybe its a UR+ that i want to replace a UR, something like that.

also. yes i have a total of 75 cards, out of which only 27 i really use. sue me. i like collecting the pretty pictures.

I could make another infograb on whether or not ive read the devilgram but lemme tell you... those'll look very two-sided. literally every Levi & Belphegor cards'll be there and MAYBE 2 other singulair cards from the beginning days.

i think it'd be fun to keep track of how strong each card is but that is WAY too much to do without automisation. none of this is linked to my actual game im putting it all in by hand. so imagine having to change it any time a card levels up.... PAIN.

NXX boys and Color Theory

(Or rather: my theories as to why they are color coded the way they are. No im not an artist so I have like the barest amount of actual knowledge on this but I Dont Care, I'm Having Fun)

Characters: Vyn, Marius, Luke. (I'm sorry I literally have no idea what to say about Artem. Anyone wanna help? :D )

Luke is almost always yellow/gold, Artem is usually red, but Vyn and Marius are a little more tricky. Vyn is technically a blue-green, but the his SSR's so far have a purple overlay. Marius is technically a rich purple, and he has purple eyes and the vibe of a purple person, but he also has green overlays sometimes.

Officially, Luke's eyes are Red, Artems grey/blue, Vyns are gold, and Marius's are purple. Luke's color is yellow/gold, Artem is red, Vyn is blue-green, and Marius is purple.

Vyn: Several of Vyn's cards have the color purple as very prominent. But his "color" according to the achievements page (as well as the lost gold ssr probability sheet) is a green-blue.

Many of us Vyn stans know- hes not native to Stellis. Hes from Svart, a European-coded/themed foreign country. He changed his name and he abandoned his heritage titles of Baron's son. (At least, I think it was a Baron?) So there's technically royalty in his blood. He carries himself as you might expect someone like him to- with elegance, calculation, and sometimes a cold indifference.

Green being his "real" color has several main sources- one, he left behind his heritage as a Svart nobleman('s child) and is starting something new. Green is ironically the color of growth and new things. But its also the color associated with greed and riches. I dont think Vyn is greedy, per se. His insistence to one-up Artem in LG or others at any time is more pride in his ability and confidence in himself. He *is* smart. Hes also an untrustworthy narrator. He does manipulate to a degree... maybe its because he's used to doing that, or maybe its because there's a lot more about his character that I don't know. He's sneaky and untrustworthy.

I say, his card color theme has overlays and hints of purple for his royalty, while his official green is his attempts at becoming something or someone new, beyond heritage.

Marius: Marius is pretty straightforward. Despite his RRG SSR and invitation having green vibes, his color is still prominently purple. He also has lots of blue elements like his hair and his suit of coice. But let's focus on his official color- purple. Purple is, as mentioned in the Vyn portion, ironically for royalty/the rich/upperclass people. (Check out the history here but really the point is that only rich people could afford it.) This fits well with his family history- the Pax group/company is a huge company with products in just about any and all sectors of commerce, from entertainment to real estate. The von Hagen family clearly has money and influence. Not to mention his purple eyes (why/how does he have purple eyes??), he has tons of purple vibes. Also, while this is more a reflection of his family rather than him (so far), the von Hagen emblem is a serpent/snake. Snakes are seen as sly and sneaky. Untrustworthy, too. Again, that's more of a reflection of his family than him, because Marius truly seems to have a heart of gold and wants what's best for people.

Luke: Luke's color is gold, and its easy to see why. As the person Rosa knew as a child, someone she was raised with, Luke is the easiest for her to trust. He may have disappeared for 8 years, but since he got back, he has been by her side and a person she trusts. He may not be rich per-se, but he does have wealth of care for her, and hidden sides of himself he desperately wants to keep hidden from her. He's a metaphorical ray of sunshine, always supporting Rosa and usually taking her side in things. Hes warm, bright, familiar, safe.

(Again, apologies about the lack of Artem- i love him but I have no idea how to write about it unless you want the Extra Short thing I wrote and it's not even good)

right ok lost gold thoughts. (SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY)

im having a lot of fun! not really focusing on the story too much at this point, there's a lot of moving parts so i'll just catch myself up when i've unlocked it lol. the resource gathering is really interesting! i wonder if its more efficient in the long run to actually change what the boys are gathering or if leaving them all on max is actually better, but i guess we'll find out as we go.

i'm enjoying the island exploration, and i like the mediation levels as a way to get more hunters badges. having the skill upgrade items as rewards in there has been So Good for me and my cards, lol.

and then the gacha. im 80 pulls down, out of s-chips and nothing. pretty sure the only way im getting anyone at this point is if i cave and spend money, but we'll leave that for as long as possible :( if i put in all of that and then dont even get marius i might lose my mind. just a little. everyone who got ssrs congratulations!! and i hate you. (somehow pulled inner sanctum four times though!! make it make sense)

the few scraps of boy interaction have me living. more people making fun of marius AND of course, taking complete advantage of him and his position as pax ceo. it's what he deserves <3 and i love how there's all these little alternate stories with each of the boys, like you can pick one without picking one. very nice. marius tho istg. the way he completely airs out his insecurities until mc says something nice to him and then he's like "haha gotcha ;) only said that so you'd comfort me. " so you wanted comfort? huh? bitchass? he's such a little liar and the fact that mc even falls for it too, like he's on some 4d chess manipulation tactics here.

Fic update

Okay, i finally have time and motivation to continue working on 3 of my most important fics. It’s too gay to be fucked 3, Garrett/Andrew PWP (yes pwp cuz im nasty), and a big multi-chapter YT FGO AU that no one cares about lmao.

It’s gonna get fucked 3 is 70% done, still fixing some last part of the chapter before i send it back to my friends to be beta-ed. 

Garrett/Andrew PWP is sadly still 20% WIP, mainly because lack of... motivation. Hopefully Shane’s new series contains more Garrett/Andrew interactions to boost my motivation to continue it lmao.

YT FGO AU still... 10%. I still haven’t decided if i want to make it some slice-of-life genre where its about the YT Servants interacting with each other or more serious story with heavy plot (kinda like a fusion between FGO’s Lostbelt+Singularity arcs). Although i already have a long list of Youtubers who i will use in the fics (all bbs boys will be featured ofc). More talk about this AU under Read More.

I will also possibly adding Andrew Siwicki and Jacksepticeye, although i still haven’t deciding what their role going to be.

Oh yeah, Daithi de Nogla and Mini Ladd will also appear. Although they are not Servants like the other, their role is going to be a normal human who manages Chaldea (kinda like Romani Archaman and Da Vinci lmao).

Those are the characters that will appear on the first arc minus Nogla and Mini. Since i haven’t really decided to put Andrew and Jack, i won’t show their stats here but their class will be Lancer (or Caster, haven’t really decided it either) and Saber, respectively

IT'S RLLY SADDENING RIGHT......just goes to show how important the personal story arcs are for the boys, especially for luke. like, not to say that luke's is the best or most important, All the boys' personal story arcs are key to their development. it's just that with luke....his personal story makes him fundamentally change his view on his own life and whether or not it's worth valuing himself, believing in hope, and letting others help

"i wonder how post character development luke approach to his deteriorating health and coming clean with rosa?" this is pretty clearly answered already by the non main story luke stories!! particularly luke's blossom chapter 1-4 and then his anniversary card SSR Under the Milky Way, because that whole over-arching plot tackles not just the confession of his romantic feelings but the confession of his illness that hes kept secret for so long. in a way, luke's illness and his true feelings are inextricably linked and intertwined.

though another card story i wanna bring up is SSR A Dream of Benji, because that tackles a luke After hes told mc about his illness and then tackles how he'd seek support now that she knows. fantastic card, i cannot recommend it enough!!!

as for whether or not personal stories are "canon divergences".....i more see them like, "Divergences That Are Still Canon" if that makes sense? like in my mind, it;s kinda like how the event story gameplay went for Mysteries of the Lost Gold. all of mc's respective routes with each boy are Canon, but they cant have happened all at once simply because she cannot clone herself. all are Canon, but different Routes of canon leading to the similar end point that the event story had to get to.......is this a schrondinger's cat situation? frankly i dont like thinking too much about timelines and canonicity bc it just gives me a headache, the logistics are everywhere jHVKJAVFAKSJHVFAKJ

and i guess off the top of my head, i do have some tips!! feel free to take whichever u need and discard the ones that dont spark joy!

gameplay tips

do the daily and weekly tasks!: these give rewards each day/week that will help you in card leveling, overall player leveling, and collecting s-chips. sometimes events happen which add new tasks to do for certain rewards so like, basically whenever you see an Exclamation Point Icon anywhere, check it out! theres gonna be stuff to do and rewards to get from it

level up your cards!: if im remembering my own experience starting out, i recall that the debate power increase through the main story was a little bit steep in the beginning jHVKSJHDF. i used to get on by just fine with the EXP from debates itself leveling cards, but that quickly didnt give my deck enough juice. level em up with oracles so u can smoothly go thru the main story :D

take ur time exploring not just the story but also just the sheer amount of other stuff going on in the game: i was overwhelmed when i started, and i started on this game's Release. there was Less Stuff. idk how it must be for ppl coming in now, when theres More Stuff omg. but it's chill, take ur time, theres a bunch of neat stuff to discover

(idk how intuitive/already obvious these might already be, but when i started out i had no idea how these types of games worked so it took me a while to realize there were MORE STORIES JHSDJFH so i'll mention these tips too, aka tips i wish i knew in august of 2021, HAHA)

read card stories/content: every card you have that is not an R card (so the SSR, SR, and MR), has either a 6 part story in them to read or 2 audio messages for you to listen to and they are Wonderful. dont sweat it tho if u dont have a card and u wanna know its content, by this point, nearly everything is recorded on youtube so u can easily watch what u dont have!

play the boys' personal stories!: aside from the main story (which are the cases and investigations) each nxx boy has personal stories u can find by going to Ur Phone In The Game -> Click On Guy Of Choice -> Lower Right Corner.

if ur interested in nxx team plots outside of the main story, check out past events and their plots on yt!: the event plots are a Treasure Trove of interesting case stories And full ensemble cast interactions. i love this game the best tbh when i see the whole team interacting with each other, so i adore event plots. sadly, nearly all of the events that are done cannot be accessed anymore to newcomers in the game itself, but they can still be watched on yt. buuut thats just nearly all of the events which leads me to my next tip that rlly isnt a tip but simply just my personal recommendation as an intense enjoyer of this game---

download and play through the Mysteries of the Lost Gold event: the Lost Gold event originally ran through september of 2021, but it's been made available permanently as downloadable content in the game no matter when you start playing!! i highly recommend this event. it's by far still my favorite event in this whole game (everything from interesting plot/case to fun gameplay to delicious characterization, I REALLY LOVE LOST GOLD OK!! THIS IS A LOST GOLD STAN ZONE!!)

anyhoo, this event can be accessed by going to X-NOTE Story -> lower and rightmost button Event -> upper and rightmost button Past -> download Mysteries of the Lost Gold

really, i cannot recommend lost gold enough ajhfvjkahfa this is the One Thing i hope all players can experience it's just...I REALLY ADORE IT OKAY!!!

okay so i. um. coughs. i f. i finall y read the luke anny ssr card story. voice acting and all. and. i. h. hoo boy.

i'm just gonna go in and start screaming for a few paragraphs maybe possibly. im not one to review things at all but whatever i have like a hundred years worth of things to say. i was gonna go n post abt this as i read but then i was like na h ill just make a bunch of memes and cry later

like first part(s) of the story i was already screaming and crying over that flashback where hes arguing w aaron. highkey i was like bro is this rly the time to tell luke to make this romantic. rly. then later on it was nothing but sadness and heartache and crying and i was like yknow what maybe he was right about this

first meme! i saw peanut and i was like oh m y god. my little boy. my baby. hes back. highkey i miss the kid. he's not present enough in luke stories lmao. the fact that luke styled the lil handle on peanut was. hooo. i was like man i cant believe this is the perfect man maybe? (im kidding. hes far from perfect but he is baby.)

also highkey during his classical music lore session i was like "lmao shouldve made it fur elise" and then i was like Hm. i also highkey love the fact that they changed the music for the music box bits. that was cute. love that they used the main theme on the default card screen too. very nice

every time he mentioned larping schumann or brahms i was like man is this rly the time lmao. altho i am happy it brought him resolution

meme two i dont have that many memes again most of this is just me ranting for a bit. the voice acting was literally peak though. every time he yelled, or even every time he was quiet, you could really get all that hesitation and heartbreak, all at once. it was amazing. it was heartaching. loved it. i cant speak for the other dubs since i use jpn but like. i bet they were. immaculate.

also highkey im still so miffed that they didnt give rosa voice acting. i could rant abt this for hours but to keep it short, like. mhy is always at its strongest when its not making a self-insert, yknow? in some cases, self-insert characters work, but when your choices don't matter too much, in an otome game, which are mostly character driven, trying to make her too basic is just kind of eh ig. she does get a pretty solid character from what we have, though. like, shes got a strong personality. very passionate abt justice to the point of embarrassment. very honest. is generally driven a bit more by her heart than her brain. like seafood. that sort of thing. she's already her own character, so i just wish they gave her a va. its gotten to the point in which ive literally started imagining a va for her. she kind of sounds like shirayuki (jpn) in my mind...

also man fr he really did think that romantic partners were the only way to receive proper emotional support. she has friends, man. she's a strong kid who you left for like, 8 years. have some faith in her, yknow? also god, that line where he was like "As long as he can make you happy." god. that just stung, man. im thinking abt him in other routes and like, 3/4 times he really just gave up, didn't he?

on that note i also thought the towel that he was using to dry her hair was just. on top of her head the entire time, so thinking abt all these dramatic scenes w her just doing that was funny. ik thats not how it worked but like still. also did she rly run to her parent's house in that outfit? in the storm? ik she wasnt thinking but oof dude shes gonna catch the worst cold after all this blows over

that kiss scene though. man. the orchestra music playing. i always love that theme, even if it does feel mis-timed at moments. it just feels so refreshing. rly does make it feel like a "kiss of fervor" (also how he just caresses her arm during the kiss. how gentle. what a sweet guy. he rly just wants to comfort her.) he even used 大好き instead of just 好き like man. ... man.

and then that bit where they called each other their greatest treasure... and then, how he said "I swear, I will do everything I can to live, so that I can be with you." man. it was cheesy but it rly did feel like the rainbow after the storm. it rly is all abt learning to love yourself because of how loved you are. like wow. man. it rly is abt loving someone so much that you want to live for them. live w them. man.

all in all, super cheesy card. it was a short-ish storyline, but i highkey loved it. it was cute. it was precious. i nearly cried. (more or less did when i found out his badge was called "Luke's Vow" like hooo. oh my god) i Enjoy. looking forward to the 2nd anny's cards....

SO I WATCHED THE WHOLE TRANSLATION OF THE LUKE BDAY2 SSR (heres the translation by Tiramisiyu on yt!!) and jesus fucking christ???

right off the bat, luke is in a Raven Persona for the mission. mc realizes this quickly and he needs her in the act to protect her and because of this they uh. WELL. 95% OF THIS CARD IS "MISSION MADE THEM DO IT" TROPE, I AM SO WELL FED

first, luke presses mc to the couch, he is on top of her, he is whispering into her neck. the target of the mission is like "HEY, RAVEN, WE ARE IN PUBLIC, DONT DO THAT!!" and luke is like fuck u, no. the Raven persona here is like...cool unhinged "i do what i want" JEALOUS and very very very quick to anger.

earlier, the target got too close to mc and luke seemed like he wanted to kill the dude right there in public. but luke's anger in this persona isnt just for him tho, it's to mc as well so that nobody is suspicious.

if u choose one specific choice, mc spills wine onto luke's shoes and he makes her clean it from the floor in front of everybody. jesus christ. hes scary but also hiiii, raven, are you free friday night? i'll clean anything u want me to, hihi~

setting change, theyre now in a "private" hotel room but luke (and hhh when he shifts out of the persona, his voice goes so gentle and kind) tells mc that the room could be bugged and the mirror in the room is a two way mirror and he hehhehHHEEEEE PRESSES HER AGAINST THE MIRROR, HER BACK TO THE SURFACE, SO THAT HE CAN, AND I QUOTE "[...] be the only one to see your expression."

SO LET'S ADD SOME POSSESSIVE BEHAVIOR ONTO THAT JEALOUS, WRAOW!!

still, mc is just worried about luke and will do anything so that the mission is successful and that luke is safe. i cant handle these two, theyre so protective of each other.

target walks into the room and THIS TIME mc has pushed luke onto the couch and is on top of HIM and very close (god bless for femdom mc but also i just really love the shifting power dynamics in this card) and the target is like "UHHH...OKAY U GUYS R HAVING FUN BUT WE HAVE TO GO."

setting change: the target's mansion or something. luke has to talk to the target alone and leaves mc in a room but mc can reach luke anytime if she needs him (i forgot with what, i think he gave her a gadget for this). after that, another dude comes in trying to convince mc to betray luke and mc is like duh, not doing that, but then he touches her shoulders and eek eek eek. she SCREAMS and well

luke goes in and immediately kicks the dude to the floor, HARD. when he asks mc if shes alright, she fakes tears but also not because she genuinely was shaken by what happened and luke just apparently keeps his foot on that dude, pressing down hard and pressing down OFTEN, as he talks to the target who admits that he told the dude to do this to test mc if she was trustworthy

again, luke is scary. and i think mc is sitting on his lap when this is happening. the protective-ness in this card is so much

plot happens and target and dude leave luke and mc alone and they get some tender love and care from each other and WAIT I FORGOT ABOUT THE FLASHBACK SCENE.

story shows us that target and luke were discussing in another room and the dialog shows that the target is like "shame about your (biological) father" and luke is like "...." and then target is like "you used to be such a bright and happy child. what a pity." and oh my god...

luke admits to mc that that was a half lie. the "biological" father was another NSB agent and needed a fake son, and so luke was the fake son. and that NSB dad has a real picture of luke as a kid and he is happy there and...man.....look what happened. luke is still a ray of sunshine but like.....god, he hates himself so much now

and then luke says "oh yea i took a drug that stops me from getting drunk and it causes bad headaches but a warm shower helps" and mc pushes him to the bathroom where she prepped a warm shower and luke gets in to WASH HIM AND HIS CLOTHES LOL

luke: theres no door for this bathroom (what kinda kinky ass bathroom is this, lmao??)

mc: i wont peek!!

luke: i dont mind if you see me //loosens his tie. just reminding you.

luke is like "the headache is still there...sensation somewhere else can distract me, tho" and then mc is like "oh?" and then the narrative says she REACHES INTO THE BATHWATER

WHYD U REACH IN THERE, GIRL??? I KNOW IT WASNT TO CHECK THE WATER TEMP!!!!! so like, they def fucked in that scene.

setting change: after a bunch of plot, target is apprehended but during that hes like "oh the whole house has bombs in it and i'll blow it up" and luke panics and protects mc and then target is like "oh i lied dw but im glad i saw what you did." implying that like, hes seen luke's weakness.

the one person luke cant lose.

i really hope this is revisited in future cards. maybe this target shares that info with others, that the invincible and fearless Agent Raven has a weak point thatll work every single time.

setting change: mission over, a few days later, mc and luke talk a bunch but i fastforward to when they go back to their old house bc mc is looking for the childhood pic of luke and they find it

and hHHHHH THE PICTURE FRAME IS PEANUT THEMED AND THERES EVEN A MYNA BIRD IN THE CORNER. LUKE HAS WANTED A PET BIRD SINCE HE WAS 3 YEARS OLD, I AM ON THE VERGE OF TEARS.

they have a very emo convo and luke says the line "now i am happy that i was born" and THANK GOD. it only took this sad sack of shit 2 years after reuniting with mc to get to this point, huh???? granted, he says this a bit irt to how hes happy because of her and not because of him but still, this is huge progress

and then apparently mc scraped her knees at some point in the story and luke lifts her up to a table and gets CLOSE and SCENE ENDS. OKAY. WELL, WHAT AM I SPOSED TO DO WITH MC ASKING FOR COMFORT AND ON A TABLE AND LUKE PROBLY BETWEEN HER LEGS AND THAT SCENE CUT??? THEY FUCKED. THANKS.

aaaAAAAAHHH okay the rrg marius & luke start screen is NOT good for my health

at the top we've got luke's ssr which i will put my life on the line for. ive got 4k s-chips and these chippies were being saved up for his bday but goddamnit, i love this specific card so much with all my heart, soul, mind, kidney, spleen, molars. if i dont get it, thats okay, i will cope and move on, but all the aforementioned organs will never be the same. they will have inside of them a sadness. a sorrow. yes, in the molars as well. sorrow in my molars. my dentist wont be able to fix that.

and at the bottom we've got marius' ssr which i swear to god, if this card comes home before luke's does, my molars will grow into canines. razor sharp canines, those of a freshwater fish you wish didnt exist. i will heave my horrid body out of the freshwater from whence i came, will grow legs and puzzle future archeologists, i will march on over the mhy hq and bite the randomization algorithm that that gave me this curse upon my life.
