Hamilton was very close to George Washington, but had significant issues with John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison. And, in 1797, Hamilton very nearly fought a duel with James Monroe but, believe it or not, they avoided bloodshed because an acquaintance helped squashed their beef. Who helped broker the peace between Hamilton and Monroe? AARON BURR. History is amazing, isn't it?

(We can all admit that Alexander Hamilton's issues with...you know...basically EVERY Founding Father suggests that maybe HE was the issue, right? I'm an Aaron Burr Guy, so I might be biased, but where I come from if multiple people want to kill you, you are probably the problem.)

"L'Empress du feu" - Fireplace

I present my first full fireplace, that has not been salvaged or recoloured from other Sims 4 fireplaces!

I have spent months working on this - starting with a free 3D model I found online, which I needed to turn into a proper fireplace to use in The Sims 4.

After much trial and tribulation, I finally finished it to a standard I want to release it to the world!

There are four different coloured surrounds, with mahogany inlay, and four different tile options - with a total of 16 swatches.

Here's a look at the different swatches, tiles, and how the fire lights up:

I have always wanted a Victorian fireplace with tiles - but found it hard to find a flat image of tiles to insert. So there could have been WAY MORE; but I settled on just four.

This is quite small, so fits in really nice little spaces if you don't have much room for a fireplace - like a bedroom, bathroom, or that weird space under the stairs.

How does one name a fireplace? Well, last night it came to me "L'Empress du feu" - "The Empress of fire"! I felt like the decoration was in a French Empire style, so took my inspiration from there!

I am so in love with this fireplace, and so proud of myself for sticking to it. All the work I've been doing in Blender has really contributed to bits I've worked on, on this fireplace.
