WON'T THINK TWICE ABOUT KICKING YOU IN THE YARBLES -- UP THE DROOGS!
PIC INFO: Spotlight on vocalist Carl Fisher of East Midlands, UK Oi!/punk rock band BLITZ, in full droog/"Clockwork Orange" attire, front cover of "SOUNDS" musical paper, c. January 1982.
"At that time bands were coming fast and furious with BLITZ up there with the best of them. They were a powerful band with a barrel load of heavy hitters. Carl was almost the perfect front man with a rasping vocal delivery combined with the look to go with it."

"...THIS IS THE BEST PUNK DEBUT SINCE THE COCKNEY REJECTS "GREATEST HITS VOL. 1..."
PIC INFO: Resolution at 1250x1801 -- Spotlight on a promo flyer for the "Voice of a Generation" LP, debut album by East Midlands, UK street punk/oi! band, BLITZ, released by No Future Records in 1982.
"THIS REALLY is the big one, final proof if any were needed that the punk renewal of the last two years is more than just a second hand pose. To get right to the point, this is the best punk debut since THE COCKNEY REJECTS "Greatest Hits Vol 1," although in terms of feel, suss and relevance it's more on a par with THE CLASH's first album."
-- GARRY BUSHELL, "SOUNDS," publiahed on October 16, 1982
