Paul first met them on the way home from school. It was down an alley he uses as a cut through. They stopped him as he walked by and asked him is he wanted a cigarette. Nervously, Paul replied "I don't smoke".

By the time he left them and carried on his way home, he'd smoked two Marlboro Red cigarettes.

Being shy, with few friends, these two guys were really friendly, and had made an impression. He promised to meet them there the following day on his same route from school.

The following day, Paul kept his promise, and they chatted... and Paul smoked his 3rd... and 4th cigarette.

As he came under their influence over the following couple of weeks, Paul was given a task which sounded like fun. Paul had to try and entice one of the boys in school to smoke a cig. They gave him a pack of Reds, and instructed him to find a boy at school who'd accept and and smoke it... and Paul had to take a secret photo to show them.

Paul wanted to prove himself to his new friends, so he set to the task.

After a few failures, he finally managed to get a quiet loner to accept and light up. Paul turned his phone to silent and take a quick sneeky pic of the boy without it being obvious, and was so excited to show his friends at their regular meeting place.

Paul was hooked, on both the cigarettes and the buzz of getting another boy to smoke. His task was no longer just a single event. He'd become their 'access' to the lungs of the boys in his school. It had been their plan from the moment they first stopped Paul in the alley. He was there to recruit for them. They provide the Marlboros and he would develop methods to entice boys to take a cigarette and become dependent on his supply.

The scheme was simple. Once Paul had hooked a good number of the boys, with Paul showing the evidence on his phone, his friends would cut off the supply of Reds. Then Paul will be required to introduce each desperately hooked smoker to the real suppliers of the cigarettes they need.

Once Paul's 'friends' have the boys in their hands, begging, that's when the real fun would begin.
