Majhi Alleges Bomb Attack Plot by Former BJD Government
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has reiterated allegations of an attempted assassination during the tenure of the previous Biju Janata Dal (BJD) government. Speaking in Sundargarh district during the release of the third installment of the Subhadra Yojana financial assistance program, Majhi accused the BJD of orchestrating a bomb attack on him in October 2021. At the time, Majhi was theâŠ

CW: Politics, Human Rights discussion
I Collect BJDs, Too. Trump's Second Term Should Alarm You.
We should all know by now that Trump winning the presidency this year is catastrophic for the basic human rights of minorities in the US (and abroad, let's be completely honest here). He is planning to enact a political playbook of draconian laws meant to 'bring back' a fictional ideal of the US, one that sees everyone subservient to conservative cishet white men. This is not fear-mongering, it is simply a cold hard fact that the people backing him financially have a lot to gain from instilling a form of government that solely caters to their whims and desires, and a lot of the Project 2025 playbook not only gives the power to white men in general over that of women, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC people within our boarders, but will give power to the wealthy white men in this country who want to own everything, including our very bodies.
This should concern you. I don't know how else to express to you that it should concern you. There are not enough words at my disposal to express just how dire this situation is for all of us. And if you aren't concerned, and you're a BJD collector like I am, then allow me to make it personal so you can understand.
These tarrifs will result in much narrower access to BJDs as a whole. I'll use V0lks as an example: V0lks has a store based in the US, in Los Angeles. They send this store batches of dolls and clothes and wigs and eyes and replacement parts periodically to help keep them stocked. When they run out of a thing (unless that thing was being phased out/replaced/discontinued), the employees make a list of what they need, use their own profits to pay for it, and then Volks would send them new stock to fill the gaps. When the tarrifs take hold, this new stock will be more expensive, since Japan in general will be forced to pay higher import tarrifs. That means the US Volks location will have to spend more money on the restock shipments, which will in turn make the dolls more expensive so that Volks can maintain a substantial profit margin; but these tarrifs will backfire, because a 20%-60% increase will not translate to good profit for Volks, which means the US location will be shuttered to keep Volks from hemorrhaging money, which means your only option would be to buy your dolls from Japan... and you'd be paying the extra shipping money, because it will still cost Volks extra money to ship dolls into the US. This may result in Volks choosing not to ship dolls to the US at all, meaning you won't be able to buy any of their dolls again unless you can find a third party willing to spend their own money to send you these dolls at even higher prices that include the profit THEY need to make for doing so.
Lots of doll companies are not as big as V0lks. A lot of them are considerably smaller. The smaller ones will cease operations in the US entirely right off the bat. Some will hold on, but eventually abandon us as a market. A lot of independant BJD artists in the US will not be able to make and sell their dolls because there are no well known (non-scammer) resin workers who will be able to help create a solid product the way that companies like V0lks or R1ngdoll or Lutz or Minifee can offer. Recast companies will also cease operations in the US, because they still need to import the recasts from the counterfeit suppliers in other countries who won't be able to afford the tarrifs point blank period. So if you thought that recasts would be an option, think again (they shouldn't be one anyway, but that's a different convo that we aren't gonna have right now).
These tarrifs, these policies, will affect vast swathes of non-American products, like snacks, drinks, food, entertainment, and toys. One of the big ones that overlaps with the BJD community, anime and manga, will likely vanish, as it will likely be deemed 'too adult' by the religious extremists in power. You will lose access to these things and you will not have another chance to get them for a very very very long time. By the time you do have the chance, some of the BJD companies whose market focus has been the USA might be completely gone. SmartD0ll, for example: their company relies on US consumption of their products, and they market HEAVILY to the US market because we are a really really easy demographic to market to on the global stage. Danny has staked a LOT of his company into our willingness to buy his extremely westernized anime dolls. They are not very popular in Japan, and he focuses very little on other markets where his negative behavior isn't as readily tolerated. Unless he does a massive pivot to a different market... SmartDolls will be gone. I won't speak on how I personally feel about SmartD0ll, but I know that a LOT of people love his product, and will be utterly devastated when they can never buy them again.
So, if you are in this community and voted for him, you should be worried. I know there are people in this community who did, because I've seen the alarming uptick of conservative rhetoric in this community first hand. At the end of the day, you are probably just as disillusioned with the US government and chose to vote accordingly. Even if that meant voting for a felon who has a vetted interest in toppling our current democratic structures and isolating the US economically and cleansing it ethnically and religiously. You will lose access to your dolls. Be ready for that.

I took Eunjoo to a wildlife park today! It was incredibly crowded so we didnât get a super good look at any animals, but it was still fun!
Thankfully children tend to avoid the more nature-focused spots so I got a lot of great pics of the girl!
Doll Guide!!! âââââââââââââ
âEunjooâ is a Bonnie BJD from the Starry Night collection. Her government name is Milk Shake. I do not subscribe to that name đ

But I wanted her (knockoff playline dolls)
I don't use Temu! Temu bad! Temu steals your info! Temu -
Ooh. She's pretty. Yeah. I caved.
So technically, Defa Lucy is a Mexican Walmart knockoff of Barbie, but plastic playline knockoffs aren't viewed generally with the same level of distaste as recast BJDs. Others have their reasons, but mine goes a little something like this:
These toys are made with plastic injection molding machines. Here's a sales pitch video by Fit Precision Molding, a company that makes and sells these machines:
youtube
These machines are NOT cheap. This is the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine of toys. $20K (USD) for ONE machine is a starter price - and that's if you can get it cheap from China. So a company that has decided to create their own knockoff line also tends to have the funds to pick a legal fight with, say, Mattel (MGAE and Bratz). This is not a backyard art theft sort of operation. This is easily a $200K operation just for the machines.
Granted, YMY still got smacked good and hard by the company that makes Nendoroids, and they deserved to get smacked, cuz stealing is bad.
HOWEVER...
Playline companies steal from each other all the time (cough cough Barbie Extra trying to lift the LOL OMG line like that hot mess of clashing color outfits and ridiculous plastic jewelry can compare to the cohesiveness of MGAE looks cough). Generally, if one company is mad enough, they'll sue the "stealing" company pretty quickly, and the marketplace will figure it out.
The other reason it doesn't bother me is cuz I figure these companies kinda have it coming.
So when China opened up for business, companies all over the world ran there like their houses were on fire, cuz China so cheap! Such affordable labor force. Much lack of regulation - environmental or occupational safety. Companies initially balked at employees being required to join a union, but they were immediately comforted by the fact that Chinese labor unions do exactly squat for people. The unions exist solely to steal from the employees and transfer that money to members of government.
When you open a business in China, you're required to bring on a local company as a joint venture (same in Saudi Arabia, by the way), and the Chinese company will steal with delight and abandon - as actively encouraged by the Chinese government and CCP. Companies have whined extensively about this to their respective governments. "I want cheap labor force! I want to destroy water supply! I want to pollute their air! But they're stealing from me! Waaaaah!"
Well - you get what you pay for, now don't you. You want access to exploited labor forces (forced labor for Uyghurs in the Xinjiang province, imported North Korean slaves). You want rights to dump your toxic crap into the Chinese water supply and the Chinese air without repercussions - which travels over to California and gets trapped in LA, by the way (air moves, idiots).
You'll have to forgive me if my sympathies are not particularly high for you.
This sucks for anyone trying to be an ethical consumer. Walk into your local store and flip over any box. They all say "Made in China." All of them.
This is why even though dolls like Momoko and Obitsu are more expensive, I am willing to pay to import them. Japanese wages suck, but at least they're making some money. The dolls are made in Japan. That's why they cost as much as they do. If you want to be an ethical doll collector, your options are basically BJDs and Japanese dolls (maybe Korean). Anything on US shelves is made in China and therefore unethical AF.

Where did you get those pins for your super bat bag? They look amazing!
Thank you!
I got all of them actually second-hand on Xianyu/Goofish (it's a Chinese platform for selling second-hand goods). The Chinese Superbat fandom is very big and they produce a lot of own merch, but as an outsider it's nearly impossible to pre-order or even know when stuff goes up for sale. Xianyu was the only way I managed to snatch some of them, and even then you often need to be fast đ
But that's also why I basically cannot credit any of the artists, I genuinely do not know them.
I used an agent called "Pandabuy", I'd give them a mixed review because they can sometimes be a little infuriating but for most shopping purposes they are okay (EDIT: they got raided at some point by the government because too many people used them to buy dupes/fake brand clothes. I never received some of the pins I had stored in their warehouse đ). They have a pretty good app as well. I am also lucky to have a friend who is used to navigating the platform and can buy directly for me in case Panda is acting up again, and I'm used to jumping through hoops for shopping purposes due my BJD hobby. So I didn't go into this with no experience, and it was still quite the act at times.
Some search terms:
è¶
è Superbat
è¶
äșș - èè äŸ Superman - Batman
DC éć±ćŸœç« - DC Metal Badge (enamel pin basically)
Look for [ćș] at the start of a listing, that denotes it's for sale usually (some of the listings are people wanting to buy/just showing off their collection, and sometimes they have very specific requirements for selling a specific pin to you...it's a little messy)
tl;dr: downloaded Xianyu app, searched for stuff there, grabbed the links and tossed them into the Panda app, ???, profit.
Feel free to ask more, I am happy to help as much as I can (I just can't offer actual help with the shopping itself đ)
#Superbat#Honestly could go on for a little more but it's just something you gotta have to learn by doing I'm afraid

get 2 know me meme
tagged by the amazing @brifrischu! tagging @cryptidafter, @the-wanlorn, @sweveris, @chaos0pikachu, @turtlesocksv2, @gayzuko, @osmiabee, @technicallyverycowboy, and anybody else who wants to do it and hasn't done it yet! my answers after the read more for the benefit of mobile & screenreader users.
Do you make your bed?
i have a complex system of blankets that mean i get the benefit from a 'made' bed without having to make it most of the time, but if not for disability i would make my bed every night before i crawled in the way i did pre-chronic pain. it's such a nice feeling.
Whatâs your favorite number?
it's a tie between 6 and 7. six is my exaggeration number but seven is spiritually and personally meaningful.
What is your job?
the US government pays me to be crazy, but the pay is shit so i cannot recommend. (i'm disabled)
If you could go back to school, would you?
not in a million years. i didn't graduate middle school or high school. i have my GED and got 99th percentile in my scores, so i'm technically a whole ass person, but i fucking hate school.
Can you parallel park?
yes. i don't have my license but i can parallel park and also guide someone else verbally through parallel parking. the secret is that i had my learner's permit for two years and learned how to drive, but i never could get to where i wouldn't have panic attacks while driving or just 100% forget i was driving, so i don't have my license but i know how to drive.
A job you had that would surprise people?
i don't think there's an answer to this question that would surprise anyone because anyone who knows me knows i'm an absolute gremlin who has worked a million kinds of jobs before i was disabled. i've worked in erotica publishing, fast food, retail stores, as a line cook, doing landscaping, sex work, selling drugs, and more!
Do you think aliens are real?
i think aliens are real but i think a lot of ppl who are overinvested in aliens being real have wild ideas about how similar to us the aliens would be.
Can you drive a manual car?
i used to be able to but it's one of those things where i wouldn't feel confident because i haven't done it in over twenty years.
Whatâs your guilty pleasure?
doll customizing/bjd. it's so expensive but the dolls look so lovely after.
Tattoos?
i have 3 large tattoos; the only thing stopping me from being covered in them is cost.
Favorite color?
jewel tone violet
Favorite type of music?
something i can sing along to. it can be pop, rock, r&b, country, whatever. i just like to sing along to songs.
Do you like puzzles?
i love puzzles so much! jigidi come thru
Any phobias?
no, thank fuck. i've got enough anxiety in my life i don't need more!
Favorite childhood sport?
hide and seek
Do you talk to yourself?
yes? who doesn't talk to themselves, either mentally or outloud? i thought this was just a human normal thing?
What movies do you adore?
i love movies that explore uncomfortable things and/or that take you on a journey and commit to the ideas that they bring up. my favorite BL movies are "beyond the green mountain" and "sei no gekiyaku"; my favorite western movies are too numerous to list but the movies who changed me as a person who watches movies: brokeback mountain, black snake moan, cabin in the woods, and venom.
Coffee or tea?
tea! mostly sweet (black) tea but i love all to put too much sugar in all types of tea.
First thing you wanted to be growing up?
a teacher! i went to college for it briefly before my inability to learn the way schools teach became too much.

âBJDâ
ORIGINAL IMAGE FOUND HERE
Mia knew that the legal system had been overhauled in recent years and that there were many crazy anecdotes of people being sentenced to some frankly unbelievable punishments but she never really took notice. It was just too ludicrous, those people were definitely lying. Those things would never affect her.
Then they brought her in. Dragged into court and for what? Unpaid parking tickets! She honestly didnât think there would be any consequences for ignoring those annoying little fines. Like, wasnât going after her a massive waste of the governmentâs time? Apparently they didnât see it that way.
It was frustrating, having to go to court and have a hearing and plead guilty to her crimes but Mia still figured she would just be made to pay up, maybe some community service or other bullshit to waste her time. Who even cared about such a petty offence?
âBJD, 6 months.â The judge bellowed during her sentencing.
For a while Mia was puzzled. What the hell did BJD stand for? What had she been sentenced to? Before long she learned of her fate.
Guards led her to a local hotel. It was actually not a bad place, Mia was admiring the interior of the building still unaware of what was in store for her. Once she arrived at the desk, a meme ear of staff led her and the officer escorting her to the bathroom where she found herself being positioned carefully in a corner before they told her to kneel down. Mia obeyed, still unsure of the situation but beginning to realise that whatever was happening was most definitely an unusual punishment and she felt a drop of sweat on her forehead as the officer leaned in towards her holding a strange, taser like device.
Her eyes widened and she tried to pull away but it was too late, she felt a sting in her neck followed by a slight tingling. Strange. She didnât feel like she had been shocked. What was that? There wasâŠsomethingâŠsomething clinging to her neck. She could feel it but she wasnât sure what it wasâŠ
âMiss Mia Adams, youâve been sentenced to be a blowjob dispenser for 6 months. We work with local businesses who put in requests for criminals undergoing rehabilitation to help with their needs. I just installed a compliance chip in your neck so you wonât be able to cause any trouble during your rehabilitation.â
What the actual fuck? Blowjob dispenser? Was he serious? Thatâs a fucking joke! Thereâs no way they could make her suck some random guys cock in a bathroom like a slut, let alone call her a fucking blowjob dispenser! Rehabilitation? This is fucking abduction! This is torture!
Mia was furious. Her cheeks began to turn red and she started to get up, readying herself to spit in the officerâs face, kick him in the balls and tell him what a pervade piece of shit he was. Of course, before she could do any of that, a little red light began to flash on her compliance chip and a low buzzing began to emanate from it. She never managed to stand up, once the chip activated her legs turned to jelly. She quickly and submissively sank back down to her knees and looked up in confusion at the officer and the hotel staff member.
âWhat the fuck is going on? Why canât I move? THIS IS FUCKING WORNG YOU TOTAL PIECE OF-Shhhhhhzzzzzzaaaaa!â Mia yelled before the buzzing in her neck intensified and her words became garbled and incoherent.
A few moments later, Mia was breathing heavily, struggling to understand what had happened. She was drooling a little and the back of her head felt odd. The buzzing continued but it had died down now. This compliance chipâŠit was terrifying. Mia could really feel it now. It clung to the edge of her brain, pressing into it just enough to keep her in her place. When she thought about getting up, about yelling or thrashing or fighting back, the buzzing increased just a little and her will to do any of those things died down in response.
âIt wonât take long for the compliance chip to adjust to your neural rhythm. The longer itâs attached to you, the more effective it becomes and the more natural it will feel to comply.â The officer explained.
Mia knew it was true. This chipâŠit was getting better at controlling her thoughts with every passing second. She hadnât realised how much her fight had died down just thanks to that steady buzzing, regulating her brain. Suppressing her whenever she thought something she shouldnât. Whenever she tried to deny that she would ever be a blowjob dispenser.
Finally, the hotel worker chimed in. âOfficer, Iâm sure youâve been working hard today. It must be a stressful job. Would you care to be our new blowjob dispenserâs first user?â He asked.
The officer smiled and after a moment of thought agreed. âI suppose I have time before Iâm meant to be back. Gotta test the compliance chip properly right?â
Unzipping his pants, a sweaty, smelly and fat cock burst out and he pointed it towards Mia. She immediately turned her head away and tried to scream. The red light on her compliance chip flashed once again and the buzzing intensified. It was stronger this time. Miaâs whole body shivered as her head turned back towards the stiffening cock awaiting her attention.
No! I donât want to put my mouth near that disgusting cock. Stop! Iâm not a blowjob dispenser! They canât do this! I have to fight this fucking compliance chip! Itâs fucking with my head!
Every thought drained more energy. She could feel how with each thought of resistance the chip dug its way deeper into her mind. It wasnât just suppressing her thoughts now, it was getting more sophisticated. More precise.
âIâm not a fucking blowjob dispenserâ Mia resisted, but the chip was getting clever. It suppressed just a small part of her thought. âIâm *bzz* a blowjob dispenserâ Mia heard in her head. Wait. That was wrong! Her thought was wrongâŠshe had tried to think âIâm *bzzzzzz* a blowjob dispenserââŠdammit! 'I *bzzz* suck that fat, disbzzzting cock! I mean I *bzzz* suck that *bzz* cock!â
Miaâs head was throbbing now. The officer looked down at her expectantly and she felt the chip pushing her forward. Not just moving her body but twisting her mind until she felt a strange urge to lean closer to the cock. She could smell it strongly form this distanceâŠit filled her nostrils and she was completely disâŠ*bzz*âŠshe wasâŠ*bzz*âŠshe couldnât think properly at all!
A warmth spread through her brain as the chip kept altering it slowly. More and more she felt like she actually enjoyed the stink of this cock. 'I like the smell of his cockâ. She thought. At least, she believed it was her thought. So far the chip hadnât actually been able to think for her, just suppress her thoughts. Thereâs no way it had gotten that powerful, was there?
Her lips touched the tip of his cock and it twitched in excitement. The buzzing got stronger and she shivered in pleasure as a wonderful feeling leaked into the back of her head and sent her whole body into heat. 'His cock isâŠ*bzz*amazing*bzz*â she thought. Of course Miaâs brain was rather tired at this point and so the chip finished her thought for her.
That was nice. Mia was struggling to keep thinking and it was so helpful of the chip to finish her thoughts for her. 'Iâm going to *bzz*suck cock*bzz*â she thought. 'Cock is *bzz*delicious*bzz*â. Her lips watered as they slowly slid over the delicious cock. 'Iâm a *bzz*blowjob dispenser*bzz*â she thought. Letting the chip control her thoughts was so easy now.
She started to slurp and bob up and down on the long, veiny shaft as the officer granted deeply in satisfaction. Each time she swallowed his length, she felt a buzz of pleasure wash over her. Her mind was so malleable now, she could barely remember why she had been fighting the chip earlier.
'I love to suck cock!â Mia thought. She wasnât even sure if the chip put that thought in her head or she managed to think a complete thought on her own. It didnât really matter to her. The chip was basically Mia. Mia was compliant. 'Iâm a good blowjob dispenser. I suck sperm from men. I love cocks and cum. Feed me your yummy cum. Make this blowjob dispenser serve you. Iâm a good blowjob dispenserâŠâÂ
Miaâs mind had completely synchronised with the chip now. Itâs thoughts cycled through her head as she hungrily slobbered all over the cock filling her mouth and felt an intense wave of delight and pride as the hot member swelled and then burst, spurting salty cum into the back of her throat which she promptly swallowed.
âLooks like she works. In fact sheâs amazing!â The officer remarked.
âFantastic. Itâs too bad we only get her for six months though.â the hotel staff responded.
âWell, these compliance chips are new. We arenât sure if they can be safely removed and even if they are thereâs no way of knowing if theyâll actually regain any of their previous thoughts or just think theyâre a mindless blowjob dispenser forever. Plus, she will lose her job and her home and her friends after being nothing more than a blowjob dispenser for 6 months and even have a criminal record. If she can even think after this, her only option will be to beg the hotel for her job as blowjob dispenser back. So sheâs not going anywhere!â The officer explained as he wiped his saliva coated cock all over the grinning blowjob dispenserâs sticky face in amusement.

Vague indefinable under the weather thing became a very defined half way down the head divide sinusitis mid morning.
It wasn't as easy to spot because there's just been ongoing 'ouch' of the head and face due to the neck issues but yeah you can actually see the swollen sinuses and that clear divide down the head is unmistakable. I really should have worn my mask on walks even though I don't approach anyone (except bully cops I guess) to avoid the pollen.
Then again, funny thing I went out with Sis this morning, it was cold so we were wearing masks for cold and the woodfires which give you a good lungful of nasty and we got lectured by a rando about how unnecessary it all is and how much money 'they' have made off this
and how his latest booster made him feel sick even though by his own admission he got covid the last time he went unmasked in public earlier this year.
I just cheerfully pointed out that the vaccine hurts less than the infection, masks are useful for more than just covid and thanked him profusely for doing his civic duty of masking in public transport and shops as an immunocompromised person. But like, dude, we have two really cute dogs and the weather's been interesting, half the country's protesting now that the government have shown they'd rather throw away democracy and our freedom of expression than tax a few corporations a little better (it is literally so little money that we could make buying back your own company stock from excessive profits illegal and collect double what's needed for pensions from just this year. The insistance that pensions must be funded by workers with no corporate or government help is stupid, the math indicated we won't be in the red til 2030 so tax some billionaires already, they can protest live in Monaco or Luxembourg (and get super bored and crawl back) if they insist on not leaving france's luxuries to far behind...
Oh look there so much to talk about that I got derailed (not that it takes much LOL) but mr man had to scold us for being silly gooses for wearing masks and tell us his incoherent but important thoughts on the matter. I know I'm probably contagious with a bad cold right now, didn't get to work that into the conversation though. Sis talked about how much more she's able to enjoy nature as an asthmatic since masks though so that was nice. We shot eachother a lot of subtle side eyes especially when he casually dropped that half the party he went to unmasked got horribly sick from that party.
If you feel like that dude, please do try different mask types and mask comfort aids. Everybody has to find what they can wear for long periods without pain. For me it's a China made K95, straps in the back, changed every hour so the sweat doesn't chafe my skin but I have to be really careful to not end up with an inperceptible flow of hot wet air straight into my right eye. Sis likes the fish shaped k94. Doc uses a duck shape for minimal face chafing.
I've put a few things on hold til my health gets slightly better. I really want to rework the neck on the lovely 1/6 bjd Maleficent sent and then paint her not with human blushing but like she's part of a crockery set. The one great auntie Francis left us a few years ago is a gold trimmed fruit motif and blue china is pretty but already done so I was thinking more along the lines of something with strawberries because I love her porcelain paleness and a strawberry motif would allow me to keep the face simple and stylized. (writing this down because ideas do sometimes spark during the SADS but I often completely forget them).
Jewel Richie had an 'incident' in the post and has been undeliverable since Thursday but amazon doesn't open the refund/rebuy options til tomorrow. I'll have to decide then. The vagueness of 'incident' made me think OK, maybe the roads/trains were blocked but the 'cannot be delivered' kind of implies the package got smashed up or in the same truck as idk a bottle of ink or something.
I think it's maybe why I had a doll dream, I imagined a rainbow high rolling into a roadside somewhere after someone forgot to properly shut the van doors or something.
Then again, I spent most of last night talking over (with my own brain) how the Shoah probably 'killed' Gd (mine the xian god who is supposed to have a personal relationship with people, not necessarily anyone else's - i can explain in detail if anyone is interested, the law of free will wasn't broken other xian specific things were) for me to an imaginary rabbi questioner (he was very nice, if pushing further than I dared to talk, in the daydream and had experience with christianity in the form of evangelicalism so I didn't have to explain certain concepts that are absolutely not in the Talmud and not really the new testament either.) and really felt my shame that a genocide unrelated to me shook a faith (xianity) that's a disrespectful sect of their faith. Nevertheless I was 10, and the idea that the gospels weren't the symmetrical conclusion to the Talmud was never in question and even considered blasphemy if I ever brought it up. I was such a different person by 14 then 16 facing it again. To think I thought jewish people were as brainwashed as I was into the belief that martydom is a noble death. Yeah I mentioned the nice fever dream about the dolls because many times sick musings end up in 'the roads not taken' , existential crises and lists of people who probably took years off my life. Fun stuff.
Lily is picking up this march, she is happy and well. I think she may have had a tough winter but for 14 she is very fit and still very much a mischief, she's started doing her upside-down dances, asking for fuss and thieving from my recycling bin again. I love her to bits.
Have a lovely day everyone. Stay safe and relatively sane â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž

BJD, Congress target government over mismanagement at mandis; BJP respondsÂ
The double whammy of unseasonal rain and mismanagement at paddy procurement centres (mandis) being faced by farmers has intensified politics in Odisha. Opposition BJD and Congress on Saturday targeted the ruling BJP government over paddy being collected at mandis amid mismanagement. They both accused the state government of mismanagement and lack of oversight in the ongoing procurementâŠ

Opposition INDIA Bloc Submits No-Confidence Motion Against Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar
In a significant political development, members of the opposition alliance, INDIA bloc, have moved a no-confidence motion against Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh announced this move on Tuesday, citing concerns over the alleged partisan conduct of the Chairman during the proceedings of the council of states.
A Step to Safeguard Institutional Integrity
The motion, submitted collectively by various parties within the INDIA bloc, is described as a step to protect the institution of the Rajya Sabha rather than targeting an individual. Speaking on the matter, an opposition leader emphasized that this was not a personal protest but a bid to uphold the sanctity and impartiality of the institution.
âWe aim to send a clear message that the concerns raised by the opposition are about preserving the integrity of the institution, not about any specific individual,â stated the leader, who preferred to remain anonymous.
Allegations of Partisan Conduct
According to Jairam Ramesh, the decision to file the motion was driven by Dhankharâs handling of parliamentary proceedings, which the opposition alleges has been biased. âAll parties in the INDIA group had no alternative but to formally submit this motion, given the partisan manner in which the Honâble Chairman has conducted the council's business,â Ramesh posted on social media platform X.
Another leader highlighted the Chairmanâs decisions to disallow opposition members from raising critical issues as a recurring concern. This perceived lack of fair representation in parliamentary debates has spurred the bloc to act.
Who Signed the Motion?
Several prominent leaders from opposition parties have signed the no-confidence motion. These include Nadimul Haque and Sagarika Ghosh from the Trinamool Congress, Sanjay Singh of the Aam Aadmi Party, and Priyanka Chaturvedi of the Shiv Sena (UBT).
Interestingly, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), which has seven MPs in the Rajya Sabha, has not yet decided its stance on the motion. Speaking to reporters, BJD chief Naveen Patnaik stated, âWe are still examining the motion. A decision will be taken based on what we consider necessary.â Notably, the BJD supported Dhankharâs candidature during the Vice Presidential elections in 2022.
Political Ramifications
The submission of the no-confidence motion underscores the growing friction between the opposition and the ruling establishment. While it remains uncertain how the motion will proceed, it has spotlighted the INDIA blocâs attempts to consolidate its stance against perceived governmental overreach and lack of impartiality within parliamentary proceedings.
This action also highlights the evolving dynamics within opposition politics, as parties strive to address broader institutional concerns while navigating individual alliances and agendas.
The Road Ahead
As the political landscape heats up, this no-confidence motion has sparked discussions about institutional accountability and the role of opposition in ensuring checks and balances in governance. While the outcome of the motion remains to be seen, the INDIA blocâs move has drawn attention to the underlying tensions in the functioning of India's parliamentary democracy.

Raghav Chadha Calls for Bharat Ratna to Honor Bhagat Singhâs Legacy
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha on Wednesday called upon the Union government to honor freedom fighter Bhagat Singh with the Bharat Ratna, Indiaâs highest civilian award.
Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Chadha emphasized Bhagat Singhâs immense contribution to Indiaâs independence movement. He stated, âI request the government that it announces Bharat Ratna for Bhagat Singh. If it happens, the coming generations of this country would hail this House (Rajya Sabha).â
Bhagat Singh, revered as a national hero, played a pivotal role in the struggle against British colonial rule. His sacrifice and ideals continue to inspire millions across the country. Chadhaâs appeal reflects the sentiments of many Indians who believe that Bhagat Singhâs legacy deserves the highest recognition.
A Call for Justice and Recognition
This isnât the first time Bhagat Singhâs name has been raised in the context of the Bharat Ratna. Various political leaders and organizations have long demanded that the revolutionary icon be awarded posthumously for his unparalleled contribution to Indiaâs freedom.
Chadhaâs demand comes amid other pressing issues raised in the Rajya Sabha. Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda highlighted the drinking water crisis in Bengaluru, urging the government to address the cityâs dependency on private water suppliers. With folded hands, he appealed, âI would like to appeal to the Union government to solve this problem.â
Meanwhile, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MP Sasmit Patra called for special category status for Odisha, citing the stateâs recurring natural disasters and the resulting economic hardships.
Growing Recognition for National Icons
Chadhaâs request underscores the importance of recognizing historical figures whose contributions shaped Indiaâs identity. If accepted, it would not only honor Bhagat Singh but also reaffirm the nationâs respect for its freedom fighters.
The demand has sparked public discourse on the significance of Bhagat Singhâs ideals in contemporary India. Many believe that awarding him the Bharat Ratna would serve as a reminder of the sacrifices made to achieve the countryâs independence.
As the government considers these appeals, citizens eagerly await a decision that could further cement Bhagat Singhâs place in Indian history.

Similarly, in Rayagada, 44 specialist positions exist but only three doctors are in service. Other districts such as Mayurbhanj, Ganjam, Sundargarh, and Bargarh also face significant shortages in specialist doctors. TW: Abusive friendships, mental health, emergency services, divorce, crime, substances
Toxic bjd friend anon update.
About 24 hours after my confession, I got fed up and picked a fight. She took the carefully crafted bait and ended up disowning me. Which was great, because idk what I would have done if she hadn't. I'm free! She still thinks it's her idea that she's out of my life, so she's left me alone. Turns out I have screenshots of her admitting to a felony. And a misdemeanor. Sadly the really good felony confession was an in person only event and the government already decided not to deal with that circus. (Felony under civilian law where we live, but military caught her. Victim didn't press charges and she claimed someone else did it.) If she tries to blackmail me, I can complicate things for her both crimally and civily. A few screenshots to the exhusband in progress (who's a disgrace of a human being, but legally the victim this time and trying to divorce her) and a report to a certain state agency, and her career is over. I didn't believe it then due to circumstances, but it lines up too well now. IDK if it's totally true, but the idiot did put in writing herself. If needed, I get along great with my local PD, in particular an officer who's dealt with similar idiocy before. My only regret is not lobbing a few insults back before we blocked each other. Sadly all the good responses occured to me the next morning and it helped the illusion. I did leave her a note thanking her for the trauma when I dropped off some stuff she'd left with me and kept a photo of it in case she tried anything. She's out of town so there's an enforced chill out period before we have to be near each other again. She's blocked so no more suicide attempts for dramatics. We called 911 on her the last time and even the cops didn't believe her- cancelled the ambulance and no involuntary holds, or even a warning for the self confessed drug DUI. Points for not traumating her farther, I guess? As long as I stay unreachable, it's not going to happen due to me or not my problem anymore. She has other friends now to traumatize. Notably, the only ones left are enablers/in love with her and us disowned folks stood up to her.Â
I've got the energy to play with my dolls again and I'm making up for lost time. A doll clothing preorder happened to arrive a few days after this all went down, so there's been a lot of dressup. I'm customizing a playline doll into a character I've dreamed of for ages. Another bjd is finally getting some photography practice and I'm figuring out what I'm planning for the design of another. I'm starting to be able to focus long enough to do longer projects again, so hopefully I can get some clothes done. There's a backlog of things I really want to do but just couldn't. Not laziness- I would forget mid-stitch what I was doing or lose track of goals the second I tried to cut my fabric, even with a reference. Literally couldn't picture the next step or remember how to get there. I finally got my disaster of a bedroom cleaned for the first time in months, so the dolls have a nice place to be displayed. Physical health issues that defied blood test results resolved literally overnight after this, so I'm finally capable of doing more than survival/school/work now. Mental issues are uphill slowly, but in progress. I'm easing back into things with smaller projects, but hopefully I'll be able to do some bigger stuff soon too! Taking it slow though. I don't need burnout. I just need to get my life together and heal.Â
I thought doing the hobby on my own would be lonely, but turns out it's just peaceful. I'm still trying to process the last three years, but I think things are going to be okay. The last week and few days has been the happiest, most peaceful week of my life since I was a child.  Ironically, due to the bait argument and what it would reveal, she can't even trash talk me too specifically without looking terrible. I'm still being careful, but I think we're a lot more evenly matched than she had me believing. I'd love to make some less insane friends but I think I need some time to learn to be a healthy person. I don't want to accidentally continue this cycle. For now, I'm looking forward to a LOT of doll play time, catching up on sleep next to my kitty, and trying to build a future.
