Israel strikes Lebanon despite ceasefire, one dead
Despite a declared ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, more casualties were reported in Lebanon on Friday, with Tel Aviv warning Lebanese against returning to their homes in the south of the country.
Israeli military warns South Lebanon residents against returning to certain areas
Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adrai posted a new warning on his X account for residents of southern Lebanon, advising them not to return to areas near the border until further notice.
Adrai stated:
“Until further notice, residents are prohibited from moving southward to the line of villages and surrounding areas. The IDF does not intend to target civilians; therefore, at this stage, returning to your homes south of this line is strictly forbidden until further notice. Anyone who crosses south of this line endangers themselves.”
The spokesperson added:
“Additionally, avoid returning to the following villages: Dhayra, Taybeh, Al-Tiri, Naqoura, Abu Chach, Ebel El Saqi, Al-Bayada, Jebbayn, Khraibeh, Khiam, Khirbet, Al-Matmoura, Al-Mari, Odaisseh, Qlayaa, Oum Touteh, Salib, Arnoun, Bint Jbeil, Beit Lif, Blida, Bani Haiyyan, Boustane, Ein Arab Marjayoun, Dibbine, Debaal, Deir Mimas, Deir Seryan, Houla, Halta, Hanin, Tayr Harfa, Yohmor, Yaroun, Yarine, Kfarhamam, Kfarkela, Kfarchouba, Al-Zaloutiyeh, Mhaibib, Meiss El Jabal, Meissat, Marwahin, Maroun al-Ras, Markaba, Aadshit al-Qusayr, Ain Ebel, Aainata, Aita al-Shaab, Aitaroun, Aalma El Chaeb, Arab al-Louaize, Qouzah, Rmaych, Ras al-Fakhar, Chebaa, Chihine, Chama, Talousseh.”
One person killed, other injured in Israeli raid on Khiam City Southern Lebanon
One person was killed and another injured in an Israeli raid on Khiam city in southern Lebanon, 24 hours after Israeli troops withdrew and the Lebanese army entered.
Lebanon’s health ministry said in a statement on Thursday that an Israeli raid on the town of Khiam left one person dead and another injured.
Najib Mikati, Lebanon’s interim prime minister, earlier condemned the Israeli troops’ attack on the town of Hiam in southern Lebanon hours after the Lebanese army deployed.
The Lebanese army deployed around the town of Khiam after Israeli troops withdrew from there, while the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) increased patrols in the area.
The ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel came into force on November 27 following the Israeli aggression on Lebanese territory, which lasted for more than a year and increased in pace in late September last year, killing and injuring thousands of civilians.

By Palestine Chronicle Staff
Today was an exceptional day for Palestinian and Lebanese Resistance.
As the Rafah axis is becoming active again, Resistance operations are now spanning the entirety of the Strip.
Today, Al-Qassam announced the killing of ten Israeli soldiers “at point-blank range” on University Street in the Al-Jeneina neighborhood, east of Rafah city.
Meanwhile in Lebanon, Hezbollah has managed to destroy 11 Israeli Merkava tanks, six at all axes of fighting and five in the town of Bayada alone.
All of this happened within the context of the largest Hezbollah rocket attack on Israeli targets throughout the country, reaching military bases as far as central Israel.
It is estimated that Hezbollah has fired 340 missiles towards Israel in one day, though sirens continue to sound throughout the country at the writing of this report.
Below are the latest statements by the two main Resistance forces in Gaza, and the Lebanese Resistance Movement Hezbollah.
The statements were communicated via their Telegram channels and are published here in their original form.
Al-Qassam Brigades “Al-Qassam Brigades bombed the command and control headquarters of the enemy forces advancing in the Al-Tawam area north of Gaza City with a barrage of heavy mortar shells.
“Al-Qassam Brigades, in collaboration with the Martyr Jihad Jibril Brigades, targeted the enemy’s command and control site in the Netzarim axis with 107mm rockets.
“Al-Qassam fighters clashed against a zionist infantry force of 10 soldiers at point-blank range, inflicting deaths and injuries among them, on University Street in the Al-Jeneina neighborhood, east of Rafah city.

Top 8 Things to Do in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is a Middle Eastern destination that is attracting attention from travellers and making headlines. Over the recent years, the country has mellowed down on laws and rules to encourage tourism. It has also come up with some exciting projects that will be unveiled in the future to pique the intrigue of global visitors further. If Saudi Arabia has caught your attention and you are wondering where to go, we recommend you start with Jeddah - a wondrous port city in this nation. You can find many things to do in Jeddah, but the eight places listed below are our top picks. Check them out!
Tumblr media
Al Shallal Theme Park
Al Shallal Theme Park is the perfect spot to enjoy thrill rides, rollercoasters, and more in a vibrant ambiance. The park also has a skating ice rink to try some skating skills and an Amazon boat ride experience as well. It is a great place to bond with family and kids, with loads of entertainment and adventures.
Jeddah Waterfront
Tumblr media
Spend a day enjoying the sunny shores of Jeddah and its quaint city skyline at Jeddah Waterfront. This arena is famous for its art installations and the exquisite Jeddah Yacht Club. Overlooking the Red Sea, this 30-kilometre coastal corniche is where you can enjoy the beauty of Jeddah city. Visit just before sunset to enjoy the mellowed evening as the city is illuminated under the night sky, giving you a sight worth remembering forever.
Silver Sand Beach
Tumblr media
For beach lovers and nature enthusiasts, Jeddah offers a clean, pristine stretch of coastline with some fantastic beaches. One of the famous beaches to visit in Jeddah is Silver Sand Beach- a tranquil retreat where the golden sandy beach meets the warm waters of the Red Sea, creating a soothing ambiance for its visitors. Amid the tranquil settings, you can enjoy a bare-footed relaxing stroll or the various recreational activities this coastal haven has in store.
King Fahd’s Fountain
One of the landmark attractions in Jeddah, The King Fahd’s Fountain is boasted as the highest single-jet water fountain in the world. Inspired by the Geneva Fountain, this fountain was made for the city of Jeddah by King Fahd and today; it graces the city skyline with its splendors. Viewing this colossal fountain in the evening is mesmerizing.
Historic Jeddah
Tumblr media
Head to the eastern coast to view the bygone era and old-world charms of Jeddah when it was a major port on the ocean route. Stroll around and discover the UNESCO-listed Heritage of Jeddah, which is richly influenced by the cultural dynamics of being a port city and the major stop for people arriving for the Mecca pilgrimage. The old street market, Old Jeddah gate and tower houses with intricately designed wooden panels, and the famous carved doors in Al Balad that date back to the 7th century AD will charm you and intrigue you about the history of Jeddah.
Sharm Obhur
Gear up for a scuba diving adventure at Sharm Obhur - one of the best places to visit in Jeddah for a scuba diving experience in Saudi Arabia. Located north of Jeddah on the coastline of the Red Sea, this quaint sea town is flanked by the clearest waters of the Red Sea, making it ideal for exploring the underwater world. Apart from scuba diving, you can opt for deep-sea sailing or enjoy stays at luxurious resorts for an off-the-grid beach holiday experience.
Bayada Island
Tagged as the 'Maldives of Jeddah,' Bayada Island is a paradisiacal escape for visitors who would love to lounge in the Middle Eastern sun with serene turquoise waters lapping at the shores. This island is a fantastic spot to unwind and refresh in the tranquillity of nature and sea views and to enjoy an amazing array of watersports in Jeddah.
Mall of Arabia
Lastly, for shopaholics, Jeddah presents the Mall of Arabia - the biggest shopping mall in Saudi Arabia. Located near the international airport, this is where you should head for the ultimate retail therapy on your Saudi vacation. With over 400 shoes offering branded goods, apparel, and local merchandise, the mall has something for everyone to take home with them, along with memories of their splendid trip to Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia Visa Guide
Now that you are enticed and intrigued about Jeddah, know a bit about Saudi Arabia Visa to ensure a stress-free vacation planning process. Citizens that belong to GCC countries do not have the requirement of applying for a Saudi visa. Citizens of certain countries can also avail of the efficient and time-saving Saudi Evisa for their holiday plans. The minimum requirement for a tourist visa to Saudi Arabia includes a passport with six months and more validity and residential, financial, and travel details. Get in touch with a Saudi visa expert, and you will get first-hand information about the visa documentation and process and guidance from an expert.
Conclusion
Being a port city, Jeddah gives a distinct experience, unlike the rest of Saudi Arabia’s famous townships. While the idea of holidaying in Saudi Arabia may steer your fascination towards the Red Dunes of Riyadh - one of the famous desert safari destinations in the world, Jeddah gives you calmer yet exciting experiences that lean towards the water elements in Saudi Arabia. It is among the most breathtaking cities in the Middle East to go on a memorable vacation. Don't believe what we say. Visit Jeddah and allow your experience to tell the story for itself.

Support at Home For Older and Disabled People
Many older and disabled people need daily assistance with a wide range of activities. For some, this can be hard to provide without outside help.
Your local council may offer a sum of money which you can use to arrange home support at home with an approved provider. This is called Consumer Directed Home Support.
Help with everyday tasks
Having the help you need to get around and do things like shopping, catching public transport or cooking can make it much easier to live at home. It means that you can spend more time doing the things you enjoy, rather than being worried about getting around and managing your day to day activities. If you need help to move about, you can ask your local council for an Occupational Therapy assessment. This involves an OT talking to you about what you want to do and helping you find ways of doing it safely. They can also prescribe equipment to assist.
You can also enlist the help of friends and family to do the things you find difficult. This can be short term – to give you a hand while you recover from surgery, for example, or long-term, if it’s necessary to keep you living at home. They may even be able to help with personal care, such as bathing and dressing.
Personal care
Personal care at home is a form of non-medical in-home assistance with activities of daily living, like bathing and grooming. This is also known as non-skilled care, or companion care, and can be helpful for people with disabilities or chronic illnesses.
It’s a great option for older people, people with a disability, or anyone who needs help to stay safe and independent. It can be short term while you recover from an illness, or ongoing support for a long-term condition.
Your home care services are personalised to your preferences and needs. This allows for greater family involvement and can be more cost-effective than staying in a residential care home. At BAYADA, our RN clinical managers and client services manager oversee your care plan and work with your doctors to create a holistic approach to your health. This helps us deliver high-quality outcomes and provide a better quality of life for all our clients. Your home care aims to keep you as independent and active as possible, whilst supporting your individuality and dignity.
Mental health support
Mental health support at home can be a good option for people with mental illnesses. They might need therapy and medication to deal with their symptoms, which can be managed by attending appointments in a clinic or through video calls (telemental health).
In-home mental healthcare is also available for some people who don’t like visiting a mental health facility. They can have in-home therapies where a mental health professional comes to their home to see them or they can have online therapy where they connect with a therapist through the internet.
If you’re worried about someone’s mental health, you can help them by encouraging them to call 999 for an ambulance or go to hospital if they’re feeling very unwell. You can also encourage them to contact their GP, visit a mental health crisis team or call Samaritans if they feel suicidal. You could also try finding a peer support group for them to join to provide social and emotional support.
Socialising
In some cases home support services might involve more socialising than usual, for example if you have regular visits from a carer to go shopping or visit friends.
Having a circle of people you can talk to about how things are going and who you can trust is really important for your mental health and wellbeing. If you have trouble opening up to family and friends, try speaking with a therapist who can help.
It’s important to be able to raise concerns about your home support services, even if you think they are not that serious. It’s better to do this than not to speak up, and making a complaint can help you get the right service in the future. It can also encourage your home support organisation to improve its policies and training around professional boundaries. If your home support worker is being abusive, you should talk to an advocacy or consumer representative group immediately.
