picture of me popped up on Facebook memories today from a previous life when, at a time when i had a constant series of ever changing part-time jobs living in the south of england, i used to work for a curious charity that spent half its time charging exorbitant prices to move art from gallery to gallery (a highly specialised field, it turned out, with many’a regulation and much insurance paperwork to be filled out) in order to pay its workers, including me, to help move for free elderly widows and widowers from their homes into care homes because they could no longer manage alone there. and so almost each visit was intensely emotional because often the chap or lady there had lived in this home for many decades, mostly with their often recently deceased lifelong loves. good memories, but profoundly sad too; I’m glad and grateful though for such a rich experience. it was also cash-in-hand so nothing for the taxman but shh about that abababa 🪴

Founded in the 7th century, it was reorganised in the 10th century and rebuilt in the 12th and 16th centuries; major restoration work was carried out by Sir George Gilbert Scott in the 1860s. I'm in Bath today and tomorrow for my PGCE graduation. It's both mine and my (American) wife's first time here, but she sussed it out the second we got off the train.

I was pretty desperate, but I'm never so desperate that I ignore facility conditions and experiences.

They had a lovely colour scheme and they were completely empty (yay). The appropriately sized doors made me happy and clean (FLUSHED) toilets made me feel overjoyed. I cannot even fathom the belief that students know to flush better than those visiting on business in an airport. For the first time, I felt no fear when touching the toilet seat lid before i flushed. The soap had the most wonderful aroma. However, the water increased in temperature far too quickly. Bath Spa is my top choice so im obligated to give a good review from the depths of my heart and desires.
