My dad gave me his old analog film cameras and said "i'm only giving them to you because i know you'll take care of them" and i'm kinda. Emotional about it. He's always been Very Strict over that stuff so i'm very surprised he's allowing me to do this
#julia's photo adventures#he gave me 3 cameras 2 flash attachments and a camera bag to hold it all in#one is an olympus trip 35 which was his very first camera. he got it as a gift when he was 16 in 1978-1979#i'm very emotional about it bc he took real good care of this camera. idk i picture him young and not yet jaded and crazy#taking pictures of things and people that were important to him#the other is a minolta x300s from 1990 which i rarely saw as a kid bc it was his Good Camera#the lens on that one are ABSURDLY HIGH QUALITY i've never touched something like it#need to get it serviced for electrical maintenance but it's on a pretty good state#the last one is a canon prima zoom shot AIAF that took most of my childhood pictures. i remember it quite well#dad used to be obsessed with photography (clearly) and we have tons and tons of childhood pictures#anyway yeah now i own Way Too Many Cameras
