We've seen versions of April that are fully grown adults, as well as versions that are teenagers like the turtles. We've also seen Aprils that are fully capable of keeping up with them in fights, and Aprils who are, as MM!April put it, "non-combatants". I'm curious to know what kind of April TMNT fans enjoy the most, so...

Little concept doodle of FCAU Usagi, riffing off some ideas from GEM, my last AU. I want him to be a masterfully skilled archer and certified badass but I still love the mystic yo-yo I wrote in GEM where instead of catching yokai, its string can slice through practically any material.

I might add some other qualities to the yo-yo this time like maybe it can latch onto a soul and drag people around with it? Idk. He could swing someone into a wall or drag someone to safety. Who knows? Maybe I'll add it to the comic, maybe not. It'll definitely keep it's slicing magic tho, that was fucking badass.

I don't care how non family related Leo and Karai are in future versions of TMNT or in fellow fans' own takes on TMNT where they say they're not related at all in their versions.

When there's been TWO versions of Karai being Leo's relative in the span of a decade, it makes shipping him with her in other versions very VERY weird and uncomfortable when that thought is in the back of your head.

TMNT 2012 and Rottmnt has officially burned the bridge of the Leo x Karai concept.
