How to Find The Best Mini Jet Boating Spots

Would you like to take your mini jet boat to places where you can have the most fun and truly enjoy the experience? Of course, you do. The question now is how you’re going to get this done and what you’ll need to research if you’re going to have the best time of it.

The answer to that is three-fold. The first thing you’ll want to consider is how easy it will be to get to the location you have in mind. The second is to note the quality of the environment where you’ll be riding your mini jet boat.

Then there is the question of what other things you’ll be able to do there. 

After all, as fun as mini jet boats can be, variety is still the spice of life. It wouldn’t do to go to a mini jet boating spot and be limited to only mini jet boating. 

Getting There

Before you can enjoy spraying water all over the place as you ride your mini jet boat at breakneck speeds, you actually need to get there. The question now is how you are going to do this and how easily can you get it done.

Some of the most wondrous spots for taking your mini jet boat are in remote areas that can be quite challenging to reach. Good for extended excursions that have been planned ahead for months or years at a time.

However, for shorter trips where you just want to unwind and have some fun, accessibility is going to be a major concern.

You need to consider locations that are not too difficult to get to. You don’t need to settle for spots that a lot of other owners of recreational vessels typically frequent. However, it wouldn’t be wise to only go for exotic locales either.

Save that for when you’re going on holiday or long weekends. 

Other factors to take into consideration would be the conditions of the road, if there are permits that you’ll need to get, and if the spot you have in mind would even accommodate mini jet boats. Seasonal access can also be a major sticking point.

Enjoying the View

Taking your mini jet boat out for some fun isn’t just about riding the mini jet boat. It’s also about seeing beautiful, fascinating, or exotic scenery that you are not typically exposed to. Otherwise, it would be like riding your mini jet boat in a huge pool.

Bland, boring, and not worth the expense that came with it.

If you are going somewhere for a bit of high-speed water adventure, you might as well make everything else more enjoyable. Being able to gaze at natural wonders, awe-inspiring urban backdrops, or crystal-clear waters while still feeding your inner speed demon is worth the extra effort.

Lake Dumbleyung would certainly qualify as a worthwhile destination to take your mini jet boat to. This fantastic location is 13km long and 6.5km wide. That’s a lot of space for you to play with. 

Then there’s the Avon River for more experienced drivers of mini jet boats. It’s perfect for really pushing your skills with high-octane races. Since this tributary is about 133km in length, you won’t be short of water to traverse at high speeds.

More Fun to Have

Mini jet boats are fun to ride and even more fun to ride as fast as you can possibly push them. However, if you are going on a trip to locations that are a fair distance from your home and where you’ll spend more than a day, is this going to be enough?

Some people might say yes, but it’s much better to play it safe. As such, you might as well go for spots that offer other forms of entertainment or activities to go along with mini jet boating.

For example, there are plenty of locations where you can also do fishing if that’s what you want to do. You can make a camping trip out of it since spending the entire time on the water will likely make the novelty of riding your mini jet boat run its course eventually.

If you’re going to truly enjoy the experience, mixing it up as you go along would only help.

Just a quick rant, to keep me from #obsessing and being full of #anxiety...

I have spent 2022 trying to establish my side hustle and bring it to legitimacy. I have opened an e-commerce Shopify account, tried drop shipping, became an #ithoughtofyou #affiliate, #southernpeachofficial #affiliate, closed my Shopify store, and became an #avonlady.

I have been figuring out my mental health, officially diagnosed #adhd on top of the #anxiety and #depression. My unfocused attempts at legitimizing Helga_Sells has been noted, and I am hoping 2023 will be more focused and planned out for success.

With that in mind, I started an email mailing list in 2022 to help keep customers in the know with #avon and #ithoughtofyou products/sales/and deals.

I got my first Avon order on November 22, and was so excited for my start! That order then became a refund request. Of course, the items wanting to be returned, we're not eligible to return due to Avon policy

I offered to accept her unopened item for the full return price, despite Avon not accepting them. I, of course, never heard back from this customer. Now, in 2023, I get a lovely #unsubscribe from my mailing lists from said customer with the reason being, and I quote: "Not impressed with the product or customer service."

Per the 4 Agreements, (& my #therapist), I am not in control of how someone perceives me or reacts to me. But God Damn! It still irks the living hell outta me!

I mean, I am not sure what else I could have done, and the fact she never communicated back did not help resolve a thing!

Now, I'm in England with a house I absolutely love, and found that it either didn't sell, or is on the market again. I LOVE this home. Note the 2 statues on the columns playing a game and you drive under it.

This estate is in Dorsington, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, UK, has 6bds, 6ba, £3.65M / $4.319M

Do you like the look of beams? This home's ground fl. is completely open concept, but the beams offer a clear view while still marking separations for each area. Here in the living room there's a lovely brick fireplace.

There's a nice round railing in the middle of the floor. Note the exposed brick walls.

The home has a nautical theme. The unusual round kitchen island has nautical accents. I can't make out what the graphics on the walls are, but they must be ship-themed.

I must say that this is some architectural design. It's amazing. I could be very happy here. It gives off a feeling of tranquility.

Also, beyond the kitchen and living room, there's a gorgeous indoor pool and spectacular acquarium that takes up a whole wall.

I like the way the inside of the pool is painted and look at the stained glass window with an ocean scene above. Also, take note of the beams on the left that are carved to look like palm tree trunks.

The hot tub at the end of the pool lit up at night. How romantic is this?

A magnificently carved custom made bed in a child's room. Look at the mermaid with the trident. On the other side there's a pirate with a sword. Is that a canon in the middle? I think that there's also a way to climb up on top of the bed, too.

From the cupola in the eaves there's a pirate ready to swoop down and he has a long sword on his belt.

Now, out here they cheated. That's book shelf wallpaper.

The primary bedroom is very large, and a little too beige.

The home theater has an Art Deco flair. Look at the little side tables, for snacks and drinks.

What an incredible bar. The floor, the lights, the walls. Even the pool table lights up.

Outdoors there's a nice little terrace and what a colorful anchor.

The big chess set.

Gorgeous gardens.

And, as if all of this isn't enough, there's a fairytale cottage with a thatched roof.

Isn't this a cozy living room? Love the red wood stove and Marilyn Monroe above it.

Nice semi-circular kitchen. The extra touches in these homes are so special.

4 of my favorite custom masks that I've worked on, there are others but these have the most time and effort put into them.

"Sugarloaf" modified PMK-2. Parts from several different countries and companies, custom lenses cut by @goatsludge, lots of development. Haven't really touched it in the last 4-5 years though.

US Bureau of Mines TAP M3A3-11-7A Diaphragm mask. Based on an experimental mask seen in the Ft. Leonard Woods archive, it's essentially an M3 series diaphragm mask facepiece with a custom filter angletube and some other parts swapped around. The filter is a 1990's M11 made by MSA solely because some places were still using M9's instead of M40's for TAP gear loadouts.

"Hungarian 71m". Most of the effort with this mask was in the damage control required to convince an older Hungarian collector that it wasn't real, and a younger Hungarian collector that I wasn't trying to scam an old man.

Black and Blue MM-1. What do you do when you have a box of sky-blue Avon PS-10 filters? Do up a mask to match. Still one of my favorites. Probably due for a repainting though.

Longtime lurker, hoping you can help me out.

I'd like to purchase a gas mask that is available for say...under $200-300...and compatible with aiming a rifle?

Can you suggest a couple of models that are affordable and easily obtainable?

I'm also (seperately) looking for a low cost self-contained (battery driven supllied air) full-face respirator for painting or spaying pesticides but the cost of the 3M system has kept me from taking the plunge. I find half masks or disposables really uncomfortable to breath through. Any suggestions?

That depends on a lot of things - let's start with the most important one, are you wanting to buy new or are you experienced enough to know what to look out for with surplus items?

Assuming you live in the U.S., imo the best option for most tactically-inclined individuals are ex-police Avon C50's; They sit smack dab in the middle of the pricepoint you described (going for $250+ on average) and they meet 80% of the criteria for what I personally believe a modern "tactical" mask (not just military) should encompass:

Panoramic eyelens with a wide ecosystem of lens outserts

Optical insert capability

Comms and/or Voice Amplifier-Capable

Mesh skullcap-type head harness with low-profile buckles for helmet integration

Butyl rubber and glass-filled nylon construction

Common, standardized drinking adapter

Threaded for Rd40x1/7" NATO Canisters for greater flexibility of protection (i.e.; using canisters intended for specific threats instead of just general purpose CBRN)

Left and right-hand capable side ports

Interchangeable inner nosecups for custom sizing based on individual facial ergonomics The only thing it really lags behind in is having poor passive voice communication (no voice diaphragm, just the outlet valve), as well as poor moisture drainage (you will have to lean forward to drain any sweat, spit, etc out the outlet valve rather than it draining naturally)

All gas masks are generally going to put you at a disadvantage as far as aiming a rifle, and even masks designed for improved rifle ergonomics like the Avon FM53/54 still give a massive amount of stand-off when attempting to look down your sights, so I'd definitely hop on the bandwagon of tall optic risers if gas mask usage is a legitimate consideration.

Other excellent surplus options include the older Avon FM12, Scott/Kemira M/95 (or more realistically, the Scott M110 if you can find them; the M/95's drinking system is hard to get adapters for), or even MSA Millennium or surplus M40A1 Protective Masks are all viable options with a fair amount of aftermarket support. As far as buying newly-manufactured masks, you're going to be cutting above the $300 mark - Avon sells their C50 (and FM50, which is the same but with proprietary cartridges) at an MSRP of $500

Mira Safety is a brand you've likely heard of, who are mostly known as a redistributor of gas masks manufactured for them by Czech firm Gumarny Zubri. Mira as a company is incredibly underhanded and shady - they make a lot of false claims about who they sell to and the capability of their products, and not to mention their ad campaigns are the most blatantly mudslinging/misinformed.

Objectively the only thing that Mira/GuZu masks really shine at is having slightly higher quality rubber and superior passive voice comms and downward moisture drainage over Avon designs. They fail at basically every other aspect. However, they do work and they are cheaper if buying brand-new masks is a requirement for you.

I sadly don't have many suggestions as far as commercial/industrial PAPR units - I know a lot of those are surplussed by the pharmaceutical/medical industry, so I'd browse options, get to know them and spend time obsessively browsing ebay for various models and knowing how to tell when they're complete and serviceable.

Oh and one last thing -

P3-rated Particulate Filters are your best friend if all you realistically expect to face off against is tear gas and nuisance dusts. Particulate filters don't really expire since there's basically no chemicals that break down and can be stored almost indefinitely provided there's no moisture to foul the filter element.

40mm threaded P3 cartridges made by 3M, Racal, MSA etc are super common on the industrial surplus market and can be had in bulk for reasonably cheap, especially as "expired" lots.

Thank you, Pragnell’s of Stratford-Upon-Avon, for agreeing to resurrect a historical replica design no longer in your catalogue in order to produce this special order! It took 6 months because they had to find an engraver experienced enough to execute it. I was kind of floored when they told me that’s why it took so long.

Yes, it’s nearly a direct replica of the artifact thought to be William Shakespeare’s signet. Yes, I totally had them replace the Bard’s initials with mine. I saw their gold version of this in person ca. 2011 and thought, I am going to have that one day, but I’m going to customize it. I’m including a photo of the actual artifact ring it’s imitating.

This and getting my grandmother’s diamond recut/reset were the 2 jewelry projects I always hoped to complete. I don’t take for granted the family members I lost last year who made these possible. I can’t wait to see if this actually functions as an effective wax seal!
