Burnout. It’s a word we hear often but don’t fully understand until it hits us. For me, this subject is deeply personal. In 2009, I hit a wall—a wall I didn’t even see coming. I was pastoring at a church that could only be described as abusive. Weekly meetings stretched into the early hours of the morning, leaving no time for sleep or recovery. My stomach bore the brunt of the stress, turning…

Babysitting duty calls, Klarion
It another world threatening battle for the justice league, young justice against the league of Villains and chaos children before most of the chaos children froze as if they sense something bad was approaching and immediately dipped out.. except klarion whom was fighting with raven who immediately froze up too late in front of the portal.
Only for a green portal to appear, as a worned out floating glowing green, but blue skinned teenage boy who turn into a man with red eyes, a clock staff in hand and a glowing white hair baby in a baby carrier.
Klarion is literally struggling like a feral cat who got wet in cold water against some invisible force speaking in some odd static like language before giving up after half a minute when the man spoke back with a short word.
The man now just shape-shifting into turn elderly just gave klarion the baby carrier before noticing how the heroes and villains have stop in mid battles looking at both klarion and him.
"All in soon time, but be warn Flashes whom break the laws of times will get their due if you keep messing with the past and future." Spoken the elderly now shape-shifted into a young boy before he turn back to klarion leaving him a note and glowing baby bag before floating back into the swirling green portal.
Klarion could only look at note with his eye twitching, Teekl meowing as she climb into the baby carrier purring around the glowing baby.
"Why do I keep getting babysitting duty, it so unfa-..." klarion grumbled as he pick up the baby carrier and bag teleporting away..
....
....
....
"What just happened?" Said Dick whom only one question would be put on hold til later in the watchtower of what just happen before the fight resuming with the young and original justice league winning since the league of Villains were distracted.

how do i walk the line between “i don’t want to be too expecting of myself, i should know that my disability Will make some things harder and i need to be able to forgive myself when i can’t do things” and “i don’t want to write off every struggle or problem as being because of my disability and therefore probably something i just can’t do, i want to be able to do hard things without pushing myself too far” because um. uagh

I may or may not have been offered a new position with better pay. Sounds fake, I know.
So there is a distinct possibility that I will be getting my hands on a new console soon to play Veilguard...

GLITCH's response TL;DR
Tumblr media
not even blaming management for this as they're apparently just as overworked as everyone else. Also why are they responding instead of upper management, come on guys if this was a mistake like your VA manager says surely you have something to say as well, they're your employee there's still accountability in that.

came up with an aaaawful idea for what could happen in trial three! ♡
" haruka? "
es, who is about to go question haruka, cannot find him in his room! or cell. whatever
eventually they start asking the other prisoners and apparently shidous taking care of him cause he NEARLY DIED !!!!!
so he like explains what happened and es is like oh my god i didnt think hed actually do it ??????crap
since obviously they cant question him they just end the reeeally short voice drama
" sakurai haruka, sing your sins "
the song starts yk its a normal haruka song
but then at some point it ends abruptly [ haruka dies ]
#idk what order after that shidou and mahiru die cause realistically shidou wouldnt want to#die when mahiru still has her injuries yk cause since hes the only doctor there BUT itd sure make a good path to lead to mahiru dying#but either way im so sure he wouldnt take haruka dying well at All in this scenario so he Could die first but if he doesnt then he probably#either tries harder to keep mahiru alive which does seem likely he could overwork himself in the process and end up dying somehow idk#and then mahiru dies cause of that[ so i guess hed die first there too ]#or maybe he feels responsible for harukas death so he feels bad and cant rly help mahiru much#so she dies first and thats like The Last Straw or whatever. not sure what would happen#sorry i was mostly focusing on the part abt haruka cause hes one of my favourites and probably the one im most sad about#i didnt mean for the part in the tags to be that long i wrote this in my notes app originally and since it was mostly originally about#haruka i figured id just put the rest in the tags#terrible decision i guess#milgram#sorry guys i dont want them to die but theres no avoiding it atp is there...........💔#ALSO THE . im pretty sure in the t1 and t2 voice dramas es when says like “ sing your sins ” or whatever they refer to the prisoners by#their numbers im pretty sure but i like the idea of theyre becoming closer to the prisoners so it was very purposeful that i made them say#his name instead of prisoner 001 or whatever. in conclusion no matter what happens in trial three ill surely cry#thank you for reading.

Anna Křivánková, the Czech translator of mahoyome, is teaching at my university and I'm attending her course of History of Japanese Comics this semester. She said we will talk about popular modern works at some point too and I'm really curious if she'll mention tamb. I'm not planning to ask her any questions related to it because it's not exactly related to the course, but if there's an appropriate moment...

Self-induced burnout. Is it ambition or pure stupidity?
In my post about remote work, I mentioned that there was a period in my life when I used to work, study, freelance, and do an internship full-time all at once. During Covid, too.  Even though this was easily the most packed period in my life, it certainly wasn’t the only one.  For years, I was drowning in my obsession with always doing more, knowing more, and being more. I used to work…

Nothing compares to crying at work
Hiding your tears and stifling your sniffles
Waiting in the back trying to avoid being needed
Pulling yourself together before you clock back in
Because it doesn't matter how you feel when you have to work like a machine

“When the rich rob the poor it is called business” Mark Twain
As if we didn’t know already, the very wealthy expect the rest of us to literally work ourselves into an early grave so they can become richer still.  Millionaire Rishi Sunak’s father-in-law, billionaire NR Narayana Murthy is a case in point:
“We need to be disciplined and improve our work productivity. I think unless we do that, what can poor government do? And every government is as good as the culture of the people. And our culture has to change to that of highly determined, extremely disciplined and extremely hard-working people.”
Poor government indeed!  Crumbling national infrastructure and collapsing public survives are the fault of lazy working families. If only we would get up off our backsides and put in the 70 hour week Mr Murthy suggests then all would be well.
The arrogance of the super-rich knows no bounds.  Working people are already putting in more hours than ever before. People Management had this headline at the beginning of the year:
“More than four million UK workers considering a second job to combat cost of living, survey finds."  (09/01/23)
Even during the pandemic, when you would have expected people to be working less hours, that wasn’t necessarily the case. Forbes, the American financial and business magazine had this to say:
“We Worked Longer Hours During The Pandemic—Research Says We Need To Work Smarter, Not Harder… The extra hours worked during the pandemic would be less of a concern if they were just a temporary phenomenon, a blip on the screen. However, overwork is a longstanding problem."  (Forbes:18/08/21)
The move to working from home since the pandemic has also led to an increase in hours and workload.
“Employees who work from home are spending longer at their desks and facing a bigger workload than before the Covid pandemic hit." (Guardian: 04.02/21)
And we have this from the BBC:
“Overwork culture is thriving; we think of long hours and constant exhaustion as a marker of success….New studies show that workers around the world are putting in  an average of 9.2 hours of unpaid overtime per week – up from 7.3 hours just a year ago.” (BBC:Worklife: 10/04/21)
More recently we had this headline:
“In the current economic climate, Gen Zers are pulling especially long hours – and pushing themselves to the brink of burnout…18-24 (year olds) tend to put in an extra eight hours and 30 minutes of ‘free’ work per week by starting early, staying late or working during breaks and lunchtimes.” (BBC: Worklife: 29/05/23)
So Mr Murthy, people are not sitting on their backsides. They are working harder than ever, often for “free”. What’s more, many have two jobs because you and your rich friends refuse to give them a living wage, because you are more interested in accruing even more billions than you are in seeing working families being paid a living wage.
Rather than lazy workers, it is the greed of the rich and super-rich that has led to the collapse of public services and infrastructure. The system is rigged in their favour, designed for them to escape paying their fair share of taxes. As I quoted in my last blog,  “Tax evasion, and, more broadly, tax avoidance, is not inevitable; it is the result of policy choices” and while we have people like Mr Murthy’s son-in-law in charge of government, nothing will ever change.
