which venues have you had your eye on in terms of selling poorly? 👀
hi okay I was gonna go through and screenshot all of them but I honestly can't be bothered to do that im sorry so I'm just gonna list them and then I'll do a couple screenshots as examples <3 also, I am going based off of available tickets compared to sold tickets, not amount of tickets sold. bc if you book a venue of a certain size I expect that d&p expect to sell close to that many tickets 🤷🏻♀️
venues that aren't selling well (imo): Berlin, Portland, Vancouver, San Diego, LA (seems like it's doing well but it's because they never opened the balcony don't let it fool you), Grand Prairie, Detroit, Milwaukee, Nashville
venues that aren't doing horribly but aren't anywhere close to being sold out either: Antwerpen (assuming balcony 2 was never opened), Denver, Kansas City, Austin, Chicago, NY, Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, Reading, Seattle n2 and Tysons n2 but to be fair there are sold out shows in those cities, Brisbane, Perth, Aukland
a few of the venues don't let you see the seating chart so I didn't include those anywhere, also I didnt bother checking any of the UK dates lmao. example screenshots under the cut if you want to know what I consider not selling well and not being close to selling out :)
not selling well:
not close to being sold out:
#them booking the sd civic theatre still baffles me#that's where the bway national tours play in sd 😭😭#ask#anon#d&p#dan and phil#phan

i havent looked too much into where rn aside from aukland and christchurch since theyre the major cities i know of. i dont really understand the weekly rent thing? very used to it being monthly here.
i lived in japan for awhile as a kid so earthquakes are something i’m prepared for (and all the aftermath of them) but the immigration consultation site i went through allowed me to input my CV and give them permission to send it to potential employers too. ive been nationally certified for almost three years and im licensed in two states here like…i love my job bb i just cant stand the thought of being here through whatever madness might continue or start up ya know? (im definitely not explaining it well lmao)
nah i get it lover:
ok so !! my brother lived in christchurch for a few years, its nice theres plenty to do apparently i wouldnt know ive never been but you get a lot of earthquakes in chch and also its just colder bc south island. expensive to live in christchurch
even more expensive to live in auckland lmao, aukies is four hours from me. i mean its decent for everything being in one place but nearly a third of the countries population lives there so if youre looking for the stress free quiet nz life auk is not the place to beeee
the other major cities are wellington (the capital) which is lower north island and very gay. i mean SO GAY. or dunedin which is south island and kind of just known for the university party culture lmao.
im in the bay of islands but its so rural up here i mean the closest full hospital is a boat ride and an hours drive alone LMAO ive also lived in the manawatu whanganui region and i liked it there
im moving late next year i dont actually know where but i think we were considering auckland? @lotties-ashwagandha ??? i dint think we know LMAO
also yea you pay weekly rent here monthly is crazy. just so you know rent is CRAZY here its getting better slowly but most people flat to save money with how bad it is in the cities

Frenzied knife attacks were reported in China and France on Friday after Hamas called for the 13th to be a global “day of rage” in response to the group’s ongoing war with Israel.
The disturbing acts of violence couldn’t be immediately linked to the war but the first victim was an employee of the Israeli embassy. The second attack, which killed at least one man, happened in France where local media reported that the assailant—who was known to the authorities as an Islamist radical—shouted “Allahu Akbar” during an attack on multiple people at a school. A terrorism investigation has been launched.
The call for a “day of rage” prompted security alerts all over the world with Jewish schools and synagogues from Palo Alto to London and Aukland closing for the day while the American authorities increased security measures in major cities and at the U.S. Capitol.
In Beijing, the Israeli embassy staffer was attacked with a knife in broad daylight before being taken to the hospital. Chinese authorities have not released a motive for the attack, which comes after Israel admonished China for failing to condemn the unprecedented Hamas attacks that led to at least 1,300 Israeli soldiers and civilians being killed.
Gaza Ground Invasion Might Be Both Necessary and Disastrous for Israel
Israel’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the embassy worker—who was not named—was in a stable condition, adding that the attack did not take place inside the embassy compound. Disturbing video footage purportedly showing the incident began circulating online Friday, appearing to show a man screaming and bleeding as he’s repeatedly stabbed by another man.
A witness said the attack took place at around 2:20 p.m. local time, according to the South China Morning Post, with the victim allegedly helped by an English-speaking passerby. Another witness who heard screaming said he saw a tall, thin man wearing a white top leave the scene carrying a knife.
It came after the Israeli Foreign Ministry said it expressed “deep disappointment” in a call with the Chinese envoy to the Middle East over Beijing’s failure to condemn Hamas’ weekend attack.
Elsewhere, a teacher was killed and two others were left seriously injured in a stabbing attack at a school in France. The attack took place in a high school in the northern city of Arras, according to French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin. Citing police and prefecture sources, the Agence France-Presse news agency reported that the attacker shouted “Allahu Akbar” (“God is greatest”) during the rampage.
According to French network BFMTV, the assailant is a 20-year-old Chechen. Darmanin confirmed the perpetrator had been arrested, while BFMTV claimed the suspect’s brother was also arrested “near another high school.” According to Le Figaro, the alleged Arras attacker was on France’s state security watchlist. The country’s National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation into the incident on charges including “assassination in relation to a terrorist enterprise.”
Israelis Were Slaughtered, Now Jews Are Threatened Worldwide
Tensions were already running high after the calls for a “day of rage.” Khaled Meshaal, who serves as the head of Hamas’ diaspora office, said Tuesday that Muslims should “mobilize for jihad,” according to The Jerusalem Post. “I say very clearly that this is the moment for the nation to engage in the battle and for us to fight together,” he added.
Three Jewish schools in California planned to close on Friday owing to the security concerns, while New York Mayor Eric Adams said Thursday night that law enforcement would be increased at potentially vulnerable locations. He nevertheless encouraged residents to continue attending their places of worship and sending their children to school. “New York City will do whatever it takes to keep our people safe,” he said.
Across Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank, violent incidents also surged on Friday. Police shot and killed four Palestinians trying to blow a hole in a West Bank border with explosives on Friday, as fears mounted that the war may expand to another front, The Times of Israel reported. An Israeli person shot a Palestinian at point blank range near the village of At-Tuwani south of Hebron, Haaretz reported.
Earlier this week, Hamas urged Palestinians to partake in a “general mobilization,” encouraging them to “demonstrate, mobilize, and clash” with Israeli troops in the West Bank, according to Reuters. Some took up the call, leading to clashes with the Israeli Defense Forces.
The IDF arrested 220 wanted Palestinians, including 130 they claimed were affiliated with Hamas, The Times of Israel reported. A day before, the IDF said they arrested 32 Hamas members, including senior figures, in Hebron.
Since Saturday, Israelis have killed at least 44 West Bank Palestinians, according to the Palestinian Authority health ministry. Attacks in Gaza have killed at least 1,799 people, the Gaza Health Ministry said Friday.

Charity accidentally distributes drug-laced candy to around 400 people: 'Funny tasting'

Charity accidentally distributes drug-laced candy to around 400 people: 'Funny tasting'
A New Zealand charity issued an apology after police recovered as many as 400 pieces of candy laced with “potentially lethal levels of methamphetamine” distributed in food parcels.”We don’t know how widespread these contaminated lollies are, so we recommend not eating any Rinda brand pineapple lollies if you have them,” the New Zealand Drug Foundation (NZDF) wrote in a statement on its website. “If you or someone you know has eaten one and feels unwell, call 111 immediately.”Aukland City Mission contacted authorities after one person who received the candy said it was “funny tasting.” At least three people, including a child, needed medical attention after eating the candy, though none went to hospital as of Wednesday. The New Zealand Drug Federation estimated the street value of each meth-laced candy at around $600. Police recovered 29 of the candies, but did not know how many remained in circulation.CANCUN POLICE DISMISS US COLLEGE KIDS’ CLAIMS OF DRUGGED WATER AS ‘EXAGGERATED’: REPORTSymptoms of consuming the candy may include chest pain, heart palpitations, seizures, hyperthermia, delirium or loss of consciousness, the charity warned. The candy may have an “acrid and revolting” taste. “The public can be assured we are treating this matter extremely seriously,” Detective Inspector Glenn Baldwin said during a news conference. The charity has worked to track down as many of the packages as they can, saying the candies contained potentially lethal doses of methamphetamine. It received the candy as part of an anonymous donation sometime in the past six weeks in a sealed retail package. OVER 2,000 POUNDS OF METH SMUGGLED IN CELERY AT ATLANTA FARMERS’ MARKET: ‘THAT DIDN’T MAKE IT TO THE STORE'”A common dose to swallow is between 10-25mg, so this contaminated lolly contained up to 300 doses,” Sarah Helm of the NZDF said. “Swallowing that much methamphetamine is extremely dangerous and could result in death.”The group distributes around 50,000 food parcels a year and only includes commercially manufactured food, The New York Times reported. Individual packages handed out with the contaminated candy could contain just a few pieces or dozens. MILLIONS OF ILLICIT CANNABIS PACKAGES DISGUISED AS CHILDREN’S CANDY SEIZED IN CALIFORNIABen Birks Ang, a foundation spokesperson, told The Associated Press that disguising drugs as innocuous goods is a common cross-border smuggling technique and more of the candies might have been distributed throughout New Zealand. The meth was disguised in pineapple candies, stamped with the label of Malaysian brand Rinda. Police currently believe that the delivery happened by mistake, calling it a smuggling ploy gone wrong. “We want to make it clear that Rinda Food Industries does not use or condone the use of any illegal drugs in our products,” general manager Steven Teh said in a written statement to the media after learning of the “misused” candy through media reports.

For my third image, I wanted to black out the CBD itself. This would be a very different, and notably more difficult, task than my last two images, which revolved around apparent blocks for two main reasons.
Reason 1: The sheer scale of the image. In an image like this, a far larger number of windows would be required to blackout, not to mention light pollution would be unavoidable.
Reason 2: The sky tower, I knew I wanted the sky tower included in this image as the striking subject of a recognizable tower blacked out would be a unique moment to capture. However, it usually shines like a beacon in the skyline of Aukland, blacking it out the same way as the windows would be impossible.
My Solution was to take an image of the tower in the daytime, under exposed and in the late afternoon, this image would make the sky tower appear dark, but not yet lit. I could then comp this version of the sky tower over the image taken later that same day.
I knew that I wanted life in the lit window, and due to how close it is, I decided to add a cat rather than a person. An animal brooding over a sleeping city.
I tracked down the original Photographer of the cat photo and made sure to get her permission to use the image.

@cosmos-chaos:
#if you think that’s bad imagine being in new zealand lmao
you know, interesting point. if canada's this bad I can only imagine how bad shipping from the USA to a small island on the literal other side of the planet. lemme check the prices right quick:
damn, 22.50 USD for shipping, damn near doubling the price. I like the notebooks and socks but not enough to pay basically twice as much. let's see, as a fun lil example, how much it costs to get something to missisauga (for my non-canadian friends, this is one of the major suburbs of toronto, about an hours drive from the US border. 2 and a half hours by transit!)
well damn. that;s 48 MORE american cents. did we start arming niagra falls or some shit?
like, we're not just complaining, it's actually unbelievable how expensive shipping is from our nearest geographic neighbor. and there's a nonzero change that package makes it to aukland before toronto
(fun fact: there's actually less shipping options for toronto than for my city! if I give it my parents postal code in nova scotia it's only 19.77! unless you've got a boat or a plane you need to pass through at least 2 other provinces to get between here and the border.)
god i literally considered buying tumblr merch. some of that shit is kind of cool, and I'll pay 3 USD for a sheet of cute stickers
but shipping to Canada is 20 bucks minimum. before conversion. please Americans stop using fedex and ups just let me use the cheapest possible option from usps its better I promise
#if anyone who lives in buffalo is looking for a side hustle#you could probably make a killing literally just walking shit across the border for people a few times a week

dear your majesty...
!!ATTENTION!!
This is the most important thing I will ever share on this website and any other website. Please read this and take the short amount of time to watch this video and help spread the word to make a difference.
My country is burning and this fuckwit that is my countries “leader” thought it was more important to go on holiday than to help save Australia, the country he’s supposed to be “in charge” of from burning to ash.
17 People Dead
1,000 Homes Destroyed
More than 14 million acres burning
Half a Billion Native Animals Dead
This is the biggest disaster to happen in Australian history if not Global History, but instead Scott Morrison thought it a better use of his time to sip margaritas on a beach and forget about all the corpses he caused and left behind in Australia.
I live almost a 3 hour drive away from the closest fire in my state and my entire city is cloaked in smoke, we can barely see 2 kilometres in front of us, on the day that I'm writing this (Monday 6th of Jan) we have not seen the sun all day, we have no sense on time unless we look at an actual clock, people are driving around with their headlights on in the middle of the day the smoke is that heavy. I was in New Zealand for the last two weeks for Christmas and New Years to see family, (something I couldn't help but feel guilty about whole time over there), and when I got back there was a thin layer of ash over my car from where it was sitting at home for those two weeks I was away. My 6 year old cousin who lives in Aukland, New Zealand had an asthma attach from playing outside for 30 mins because the there is that much smoke it traveled to another country.
Thousands of people are being affected by these fires, even people outside of Australia
Please help us.
If you can donate to the hundreds of organisations out there that are trying to save this beautiful country so many of us call home. Whether it be to help the people trying to save our native wildlife from going extinct or to the men and women fighting these blazing fires risking their lives for us.
