PODCAST: Steve Hudson
Imagine a day where you don’t own a computer, and you lose your phone just after breakfast. We used to live like that. Every damn day. With virtually no access to information. Researching how to be better at your job wasn’t a thing. Advertising people didn’t do podcasts or post articles about their work. True, there were books, but not many. Aside from awards annuals, the main two were ‘Ogilvy On…

Formula E announces replacement for CEO Reigle | Formula E
Formula E CEO Jamie Reigle is to step down next month after four years in charge of the all-electric single-seater world championship. The series has announced former Virgin Media O2 CEO Jeff Dodds will replace Reigle on June 5th. Reigle took charge of Formula E from founder Alejando Agag in September 2019. He faced a series of challenges as the Covid-19 pandemic struck three months later, forcing the cancellation of many races and drastic changes to its schedule. He also oversaw the introduction of the new ‘Gen3’ car for 2023. While Formula E has won praise for the quality of its racing this year, several manufacturers have left the series in recent seasons including BMW, Audi and Mercedes. The latter specifically cited Formula E’s poor viewing figures as a contributing factor in its decision to leave despite winning back-to-back championships for both teams and drivers. Reigle said it had been “an honour leading Formula E for the last four years.” “I was initially attracted to Formula E’s unique position as a sport at the intersection of innovation, sustainability and electric mobility,” he continued. “What I found was far more ambitious and humbling; a passionate group of people committed to building a global sport while changing the world. “This mission continues under new leadership and as someone who benefitted from a partnership with Alejandro I’m happy to support Jeff before reverting to life as a passionate Formula E fan.” Agag thanked Reigle for his period in charge of the series. “I enjoyed partnering with Jamie to build upon my founding vision while reimagining the definition of success for Formula E,” he said. “It has been a pleasure working with him and I look forward to welcoming him back at Formula E races in the future.” Dodds has also previously worked for Honda UK, where he was head of marketing until moving on in 2007. He is also a non-executive director at the UK government’s Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. Agag said Dodds “brings a proven track record of dynamic leadership and impressive execution to Formula E, and the board looks forward to him unlocking the full potential of Formula E, for the benefit of our fans, teams, manufacturers, partners and stakeholders.” Advert | Become a RaceFans supporter and go ad-free 2023 F1 season Browse all 2023 F1 season articles via RaceFans - Independent Motorsport Coverage https://www.racefans.net/

The use of content creation, trailers and cinematics in game design; to illustrate and advertise a game, by RPG.
Advertising a game can come in many forms:
Advertising with paid advert banners, in a digital sense (like the Steam Store or Steam Summer Sale).
Advertising using television advertising, and promoting a game indirectly via merchandise.
Independent blogposts, tabloids or newsletters; like those of IGN, Steam (when a sale is one, they will inform you with a newsletter style post by email).
Social media, and social media promoting.
From a reputation standpoint, and word-of-mouth.
The use of trailers, depicting either in-game or fictionalised artistry to promote an update or the game itself.
Game expos or conventions, like those of EGX and Gamescon.
Cinematics within games, and the tie-in with graphical enhancements:
youtube
youtube
(Above) Cinematic of the Audi Quattro Sport and a cinematic of the M6 Shadowline Coupe in FiveM (both by me).
Made to promote a server based on FiveM called "Zenaya Freeroam", of which I commission artwork and cinematics for.
I have also done work with other FiveM servers, here's a list:
Freeroam X (since closed) (previously owned by HUX)
Goldendays Freeroam (stopped commissioning due to issues) (owned by LifeW)
Fearful Freeroam (since closed) (previously owned by Fearless)
Zenaya Freeroam (actively commissioning for) (owned by Ninatasia/Noya)
Revved Performance Motors Freeroam (RPM) (actively commissioning for) (owned by antwrst, co-owned by me as a networking manager)
Also, my work was used to promote various updates for Freeroam X; notably versions 2-4, with version 7 to have a loading cinematic to commemorate my group and the niche sub-communities within Freeroam X.
One of the important features I consider crucial to exploiting the full potential of a game, or an update is to enhance its image.
Doing this can promise players that the game is 1. going to not only look good but be versatile and 2. show off the features and abilities of the game itself and certain new editions.
The better the trailer/content, the better the games reputation. There is a direct correlation between something looking good and a person liking it, its simply called attraction.
If the game is an update to an older game, like CS2 or Overwatch 2, simply enhancing features (in the case of CS2, the use of smoke grenades and inspect animations) and still making the mechanics fit just like the older version gives you a much more modern game with the interaction of an older one.
To me, content creation is both rewarding and helps you learn the basics. Expanding on editing enables you to learn certain ways of doing things, whether that be utilising different transitions or filters; to put it in simpler terms, exclusively looking into the more benefitting features that would make a cinematic or any sort of edit look much better.
With cinematics, its more or less finding or collating footage and cutting and reducing it. So 3 minutes of footage for a 1 minute cinematic wouldn't work because 3 minutes of footage is not all used.
When I do historical military cinematics, finding footage tends to take up more time than actually editing them; with around 2-3 weeks on average to find footage independently and 5-6 hours on post-processing/editing.
Conclusively, advertising and making it look good helps a grand lot with promotion. Additionally, it builds communities of editors and even small studios that base themselves off content creation; Youtubers and reviewers will use cinematics and edits in their videos, furthering the promotion of games.

Audi hires Jani as simulator driver for F1 team | 2023 F1 season
Audi has made its first driver hiring for its new team which will enter Formula 1 in 2026. Le Mans 24 Hour winner and World Endurance Champion Neel Jani has been named as Audi’s simulator driver for development of their 2026 power unit. The German marque will compete in F1 for the first time when the series’ new power unit regulations come into effect in three years’ time. Sauber, which currently races as Alfa Romeo, will partner with Audi and become their factory outfit in the world championship. Audi’s announcement is the latest step in their design and development of their 1.6-litre V6 turbo power unit after work on a specialist facility to produce their engine began at their Neuburg site. Jani won the World Endurance Championship with Porsche in the LMP1 category in 2016 as well as that year’s Le Mans 24 Hours along with co-drivers Romain Dumas and Marc Lieb, famously taking the win on the final lap after the leading Toyota stopped on track with a failure. Audi’s new hiring has extensive Formula 1 test and simulator experience, having acted at reserve driver at Red Bull. Jani also participated in every practice session for Toro Rosso in 2006. Jani will help develop Audi’s F1 power unit for 2026 Audi’s member of the board of management for technical development, Oliver Hoffman, said that simulator work would be critical to developing their first ever F1 power train. “Just like in production development, simulation plays a major role in our Formula 1 project,” said Hoffman. “Our simulator is an important tool for the power unit development. It requires a development driver who in addition to a grasp of technology brings versatile experience to the project, especially in terms of energy management in racing conditions.” Jani said “it is both an honour and a great responsibility to be involved in a project of this magnitude at an early stage. “I am sure that with my experience from Formula 1 and LMP projects I can forge good links between theory and practice.” Advert | Become a RaceFans supporter and go ad-free 2023 F1 season Browse all 2023 F1 season articles via RaceFans - Independent Motorsport Coverage https://www.racefans.net/

Not For Broadcast is an absolute masterpiece and the only evidence i need is the Alan James is Right advert
youtube
I 100% reccomend playing this game because it is honestly one of my favourites. It's hard to talk about without spoiling the story or jokes but i'll try my best
It's a really fun game where you make decisions in text sections and the broadcast station.
There's mechanics to keep the broadcast running such as 4 camera angles, a way to adjust the broadcast signal, and a variety of
FUN AND WACKY
adverts to play each day.
Your decisions impact whether you side with Advance, Disrupt or are a neutral bystander and on my first playthrough my decisions were made based on what I thought was right.
There is replayability because theres multiple versions of different broadcasts, a huge amount of endings and honestly the jokes are what kept me going for the most part.
I will leave you with the link to the game on steam
And this image i sent my friend after he did the lockdown broadcast.

I salute you brave janitors, and have fun becoming part of a political downspiral of society.

"I still don’t know what that had to do with IG." Land Rover is a sponsor so they had to advert and had to take photos on it. If you notice, there's the brand name on the kid cars. Plus Harry driving a real land rover. Meghan's mask slipped more than once and I just saw very few photos
Thanks for explaining it. I wonder if the Harkles charged Land Rover for an appearance fee, my money says they did. Remember when she wanted Audi(?) to pay her a $1 million for her appearance at Polo? I think Audi dropped the sponsorship all together.
