Star Swap: I might have mentioned this, but I love the idea of Jonathan semi-accidentally rallying the meeker prisoners like Guccio and Atroe, which means a lot given that the prison is largely led by a right-makes-right mentality. Because Jonathan is nice and caring and kind and (with some advice from Gwess and Ermes) not afraid to start punching people if need be. He may not have his old muscles but he still has his boxing skill and maybe his hamon? Can't remember when he was taken. Anyway, he manages to assemble a small following of prisoners, helping them so that they can eventually help themselves.
YESSSSSSSSS
while Jolyne's body may not have the pure muscle and intimidation factor that Jonathan's original one had he's far from helpless. As you mentioned there's the aforementioned Hamon and boxing, plus how Hamon would work really well with The Passion when he gets pricked
and it's definitely an accident at first. Jonathan couldn't help it! He wants to help people, no matter whether or not they can give him anything in return. And while he may not teach them Hamon (he realises pretty early on just how dangerous that could get if he taught others), he can teach them how to defend themselves and get away from danger
For a bit of fun chaos, I like to image there was an instance where two people he taught used the things he learned to pick on others and he marched his way over and started scolding the shit out of them. He gave them a flawless "I'm not mad just disappointed" look and speech like he was their parent or something and he looked to genuine and upset and oh god I feel so bad what the fuck was I thinking-
and just to add a but of extra fun spice to it, maybe one of the two ends up attacking him because You Can't Tell Us What To Do Short Stack only to promptly get their ass handed to them on a silver platter. Maybe even a broken bone or two........ but then when it's over Jonathan completely heals the opponent but leaves himself injured so when the guard shows up it looks like the fight was completely one-sided
was that a bit tricky of him to fool the guard like that? Yes, he feels terrible about it for days afterward and can't get the mental image of Dio out of his head, but he isn't going to just let this person use what he taught them to hurt people that just wouldn't be nice >:(
he doesn't even realise how many people he's befriended until Hermes makes a comment about it and he almost starts crying because he hasn't had this many friends EVER, he's still honestly trying to come to terms with the fact he has friends period
once again, I'm loving the mental image of Hermes and Gwess trying their absolute damnedest to just Keep Jojo Alive. They know he's powerful and that he should theoretically be able to handle himself, and most of the time he's honestly really reliable! He's surprisingly emotionally intelligent and knows just what to say....... but then right after he'll do the stupidest (/aff) shit imaginable and they'll remember "right, this is the same guy who thought the tv was trapping people inside and that blood letting was an acceptable medical treatment"
also, speaking of Atroe, I had a silly idea for how Foo slides into things: I think it would if they're just Body Buddies. That's it. Foo expressed interest in helping out Jonathan for the respect he showed them and Atroe was like "welcome to the club! Jojo's really cool and nice so I can't blame you, why don't you come with :D" and just lets Foo vibe in their body
would this work biologically? I don't think so, but also consider It Would Be Funny For The Sake Of The AU

What was originally just meant to be a funny post about the Stone Ocean side of the Star Swap that somehow turned out to be actually plot-relevant:
What if, during the Yo-Yo Ma “fight”, Jonathan is just… nice to the stand? In canon, when Yo-Yo Ma appears, everyone is immediately violent towards and because they suspect it has evil intentions (to be fair, it does), and are overall very rude to stand. So what if in Star Swap Stone Ocean, when Yo-Yo Ma shows up and acts all humble, Jonathan’s victorian gentlemen behaviour kicks in and he gets Anasui and Foo Fighters to stop attacking it, and gives a whole speech about how servants deserve to be treated as kindly as anyone else. And what if Jonathan’s kindness actually moves Yo-Yo Ma’s to the point where he calls off his stand’s attack?
…. Okay so to be honest, I originally index’s this to just be a funny “ha ha look at how nice Jonathan is”, but in writing this I realize that it would actually significantly change things. If Jonathan manages to befriend Yo-Yo Ma, that means that Foo Fighters never leaves to kill the user, which means that they never directly encounter Pucci, which means that Foo Fighters gets to live for a little longer in this AU.  It probably doesn’t end well for the user of Yo-Yo Ma, since the moment Pucci learns of his betrayal, he can just take his stand and memories away and find out where “Jolyne” and the others are, meaning some variation of the fight against Pucci in the swamp still happens.  But since they where never subjected to the boiling water stand,  Foo Fighters is much less injured and might not die in the fight.
Oooooooooooooooooo that's a really fun idea to mess around with actually
because like. Yo-yo Ma is I think the first (possibly only?) sentient automatic Stand we've seen, so like........ theoretically couldn't Yo-yo Ma disobey D an G's orders? To an extent at least??? Because as we've seen in the past, beyond their preset instructions Automatic Stands can't be directly controlled by their Users, and from wha I remember Yo-yo Ma is capable of making some decisions by itself
and just. You're absolutely right, Jonathan would 100% welcome Yo-yo Ma with open arms and kindness without hesitation. Foo, Atroe and Anasui find it kinda weird and aren't fully sold, but none of them say anything about it because none of them want to make Jojo upset, so they settle for silently threatening Yo-yo Ma with severe bodily harm should it lay a single finger on him when Jojo isn't looking
And who knows, maybe another thing that sway Yo-yo Ma to their side is Foo. Foo can open Yo-yo Ma's eyes to the fact that it doesn't have to do everything it's User tells it to, it can make it's own decisions and live life the way it wants
Pucci is definitly going to be angry about this specific development, and for the angst of it I love the idea of him taking Yo-yo Ma's disc when he finds out. Jonathan and the rest watching Yo-yo Ma crumbling to dust before their eyes, promising they'll bring it back somehow no matter what, that they won't let Pucci get away with this
And slightly switching gears from Yo-yo Ma to Foo and Atroe, them being there for everything with the Green Baby is going to make things interesting, specifically for when Pucci shows up. The duo's whole...... everything is actually going to make them something of a dfficult match for Pucci to fight, since as far as we've seen he can only use his ability on one person at a time, and while they're sharing a body they're still two seperate beings. If he tries to take Foo's disc, Atroe can just. Push it back in, and vice versa if he tried to take Atroe's
however, that isn't to say they'd have an easy win, or even be able to win at all. Whitesnake is still very powerful and Foo and Atroe are reliant on Atroe's body being in fighting condition so if she gets too beat up they're in trouble
but also another thought: what if Jonathan taught Atroe hamon. After all, Foo Fighters goes with hamon just as well as The Passion does with everything it does with water, and Foo...... doesn't exactly have lungs to use it themself. Plus, it would also give Atroe a reliable way to defend herself if she ever gets separated from Foo or if Foo's down for the count
why did I bring this up? Because I think it would be really funny if Pucci succesfully removed Foo's disc only to immediatley get punched in the face by a Hamon Boosted Punch

Atrocitus of the Five Inversions, King of the Crimson Court, Red Messiah of The Butcher. He was once a simple mystic named Atros, but the Red Light flowing in his veins has warped his mind and body so fully, he cannot remember his own face, dressing his crown in a shifting, monstrous visage
He also likes cats.

Hiiii! For Atros x Solas! "come, before the band stops playing. dance with me." Happy writing!
oooh this was fun thank you! my chaos boy........ i love him sfm 😭 @dadrunkwriting 558 words cws: mentions of background character death as in canon
Solas looked right here. Which was ridiculous, or should have been ridiculous, but… he did. He looked right. In the uniform that Atros had scowled to see, refusing to look in a mirror, detesting the idea of having to dress up and be presentable for a bunch of shems, but Solas just slipped in like he was made for this place. Even in his stupid little hat. He should have looked ridiculous. Atros wanted him to look ridiculous, had been expecting to have a good laugh, a shared joke between them.
Instead, this. Solas wearing the uniform and the hat with a stunning grace and authority, and damn if that didn't do something to Atros. He had some thoughts about having Solas stay in that uniform tonight, but those would keep. For now they had to navigate all the complexity of the Winter Palace: and it was outrageously complex. When they got to the fighting—practically inevitable, really—it had come as something of a relief, although he had to choke down his rage at the servants' lives carelessly and cruelly spent. But at least he knew how to fight, knew the steps. This was honest, where the Game was all deception, saying what you don't mean, smiles like blades slipped between ribs except he only understood the second part.
But it was strange that Solas understood it all. Strange that he carried himself the way he did. Atros had been watching him all night; in front of other servants he moved naturally, smiled warmly, was sincere. In front of the shems he was coolly indifferent, unaffected, poised. Their gaze slipped across him as if he wasn't there, blending into the background despite standing tall in plain sight.
Even had he not been the Inquisitor, he knew he couldn't manage that. He was always going to be ill-fit here, always gangly and disproportionate, at odds with expectation. That was him.
So when they were done with bloodshed and politics (were they even separate things in Orlais?) and he stood on the balcony trying to get some fresh air, something far from the thick rush of perfumes that had given him a headache as soon as he'd entered the palace, he was not terribly surprised that Solas joined him. He must have known this was the right moment… he knew everything else about this.
What did surprise him was the other man asking him to dance. “Me? You're kidding.” His voice was deadpan but Solas' hand remained stretched out to him, bent in a slight bow. And he was smirking.
“Come,” he said, voice warm and with just the edge of teasing. “Before the band stops playing. Let's have this moment—dance with me.” A raised brow, a challenge. “Or does our brave Inquisitor fear dancing when it's not for political gain?” He scowled at the memory of dancing with Florianne.
“I was so scared I was going to step on her foot,” he muttered even as he placed his hand in Solas', inhaling sharply when that hand closed around his and drew him near. “I think now I should've.”
“She deserved as much,” Solas admitted as he led Atros in a far simpler dance, “but you conducted yourself admirably. And I am confident Josephine is relieved you danced well.”
“Can't let Josie down,” he shot back, lips quirking when Solas grinned. With teeth.
