Welcome to Revenge of the Underrated!
Some of you asked me to put a "haven't watched both" to be more fair to the more unknown movies, but I've seen other tournaments doing this and I think it limits too much who can participate in the polls. So what I decided to do is a double elimination!
What does that mean? That means a movie has to lose twice to be eliminated. In other words, there will be a sorts of losers bracket that'll be part of main bracket. I'm undecided on whether to do this for only one round or the whole bracket, as it would make the tournament very long. Do let me know if you have any opinion about it.
Anyway, Revenge of the Underrated, Round 1:

📍Nuestras aceitunas, carnudas, jugosas y sabrosas, se cosechan maduras en el Perú y en otros países recurren a procedimientos artificiales; el aceite de olivo (Olivos del Sur) no tiene nada que envidiarle a los aceites de España o Italia;

Le Monde's 100 Books of the Century
Starting from a preliminary list of 200 titles created by bookshops and journalists, 17,000 French participants responded to the question, "Which books have remained in your memory?" (Quels livres sont restés dans votre mémoire?).
The list includes both classic novels and genre fiction (Tolkien, Agatha Christie, A. C. Doyle), as well as poetry, drama and nonfiction literature (Freud's essays and the diary of Anne Frank). There are also comic books on the list, one album from each of these five francophone series: Asterix, Tintin, Corto Maltese, Blake and Mortimer and Gaston. The large number of French novels of the list is due to the demographics of the surveyed group. (Likewise, comparable lists by English language sources—- such as the two lists of Modern Library 100 Best Novels published in 1998, one by the Board of the Modern Library and the other by readers who responded—- disproportionately favor British and American authors. Non-English language works were not eligible for the two Modern Library lists.)

I said I'll make a joke about it, so here it is, Asterix characters as operators as if they've always been here.
This is, obviously, a shitpost.
Asterix the Gaul (5*)
the welfare operator of the hypothetical crossover
class: Brawler guard
Race: Liberi
DP cost: 9
Trait: Block 1 enemy
Talent: Magic potion (elite 0/ elite 1 / Elite 2)
Increase redeployment time by 30s. When deployed, gain 2/3/4 charges of magic potion. When using a skill, attack +50/75/100% and activate the skill bonus effect.
First skill: "Les baffes" (Init SP 40, SP cost 50, duration 20s, Auto-recovery)
ASPD +60. if a Magic potion charge was used, all SP are refunded at the skill's end.
SP cost 30, duration 20s, auto-recovery
ASPD - 30, Att + 80%, and target is pushed back moderately. If a Magic potion charge was used, the target is pushed back extremely strongly, and each attack can hit up to two targets.
concept notes: I made him a brawler guard because he's rarely using anything else in the comics. Asterix is very strong while he has potion, his S1 gives him roughly the double DPS of flint, and his S2 can send even heavy enemies flying... but once he's out of potion his skills are a bit subpar. And because he needs to refill his potion, his redeployment time is longer than usual. His first skill means "the slaps" and his second is the sound he makes in the comic when punching a roman away. He is a Liberi because of the small wings on his helmet.
Obelix (6*)
The 6* of the theoretical crossover.
class: Resolute defender (or enmity defender if you prefer, like Mudrock & Vulcan)
race: Forte
Trait: cannot be healed by allies
DP cost: 36
Tallent 1: Fell into it (elite 0/ elite 1 / Elite 2)
HP increased by 15/30/45%. ATT increased by 15/30/45%. DEF increased by 15/30/45%. Art damages taken are increased by 20%.
Tallent 2: "Ils sont fous, ces Ursus" (Elite two)
Take 12% fewer damages from Ursus enemies (including the emperor's blade) and deal 12% more damages to them.
Skill 1: Roasted boar. (Init SP 30, SP cost 60, last 30 seconds (15 for the roasting, 15 for the healing))
Stop attacking and begin to roast a boar. Halfway through the skill, start eating the boar, recovering with each bite (attack) 5% max HP
Skill 2: Big Boned (Passive)
Increase first talent effect (+ 15% max HP, +15% attack, + 20% DEF)
Skill 3: Menhir slam (Init SP 15, SP cost 20, last 15 seconds)
Deal 300% area damages on the tile in front of him, then deploy a menhir on this tile if possible. Menhir has the same HP, block, and def as Obelix, but 0 ATT. It disappears at the end of the skill.
Concept notes:
Firstly, I chose the Resolute archetype to echo how Obelix isn't allowed to get magic potion because he fell in it as a kid. Likewise, he's not getting healing because of it. The same even also gave him his first talent, which is just a massive increase in stats, at the cost of a vulnerability to art. To push the whole "no healing" thing further, I made it so only one of his skills allows him to heal himself, and not very efficiently. His talent "ils sont fous ces Ursus" (these Ursus are crazy) is a reference to his famous catchphrase and also to the fact it's the blade of the emperor who seem to dislike the Gauls the most... I guess this is revenge. Obelix is mostly a brutal block of stats on par with Eunectes, but he doesn't have a lot of way to sustains himself.
He's a forte because of the small horns on his helmet.
I may if I'll do Panoramix/Getafix later.

Euphoria Masterpost
Quickly want to say that I avoided this show for so long because of the scenes, but I'm so glad I watched it because its honestly amazing. The scenes in season 1 particularly are very easy to skip, if you get through it and wanna watch season 2 - I just recommend watching episode 4 and 5 with someone to be safe xx
Disclaimer - there are scenes throughout the show where characters have said terms related to v* such as "t* u*" but nothing happens. I will put an asterix next to the episodes that have mentions but are still safe during that scene.
Season 1:
Ep 1 - Unsafe* - ONE SCENE
When Rue is doing a pee test, her Mum starts talking about what happened and it flashes back to Gia walking up the hallway slowly, when she opens the door, look away. The v* is visible next to Rue however we do not see or hear her v*. Just look away for a few seconds until you hear Rue start to talk again.
Ep 2 - Unsafe - TWO SCENES
The first scene is the same flashback as the first episode, but closer up. It flashes back to this scene when Rue is talking about drugs, she says how they "Wreck your skin" then it shows the scene with the v* around her. It lasts a few seconds.
The second scene happens when Kat is walking through the school, everyone is staring at her and she walks into the bathrooms and v* in a stall. She shuts the door so we don't see anything, just mute when she goes into the bathroom until the scene changes, its very quick.
Ep 3 - SAFE *
Ep 4 - UNSAFE - ONE SCENE
A guy runs off a ride at the carnival holding his stomach and we hear him v* into a clown bin . The only visual if from behind him so we don't actually see the v* and the camera pans away pretty quickly. It doesn't last long at all. The rest of the episode is safe, despite some people being on drugs.
Ep 5 - UNSAFE* - ONE SCENE
Cal gets called into the school and is walking through the corridoors before excusing himself and walking into the bathrooms. He v* in the toilet but there is no visual, just audio. It is safe once the scene changes.
Ep 6 - UNSAFE - ONE SCENE
During the opening scene, there's a montage of McKay playing football, after the line "without a shred of terror, malice" we see him v* from exhaustion. The scene changes quickly and is safe from there. Definitely look away and block your ears/ mute for a few seconds.
Ep 7 - SAFE
Ep 8 - UNSAFE, ONE SCENE
They're all at a party and Jules gets a text then goes into the bathroom. The shot is a birds eye view of the stalls and in one of them, someone is v*. We hear it, but only see the back of their head. Over pretty quickly, I would just mute until the camera angle changes.
Season 2:
Ep 1 - SAFE
Ep 2 - SAFE
Ep 3 - SAFE
Ep 4- UNSAFE, ONE VERY GRAPHIC SCENE
This is by far the worst scene of the series. I will mention that the character is very drunk throughout the episode and I was worried she would v* before the actual scene, but she doesn't until she gets into the hot tub. At roughly the 39 minute mark, they're all in the hot tub and Maddy says "move with me, marry me, have my babies" then Cassie v* 3 times in the tub... Full visual and audio, as well as some g* from another character in response to what happened. I personally didn't watch for probably longer than I had to just to be safe. I would recommend watching this one with someone if possible, so they can tell you when its safe. I believe it drags on a little from what I've seen others say.
Ep 5 - UNSAFE, 3 SCENES
I will mention this episode is quite hard to watch throughout, if you're easily triggered. Due to the nature of what's happening, Rue is visibly unwell throughout the episode and looks like she may v* at many points where she doesn't. However there are definitely some scenes to skip.
A bit before the 32 minute mark, a police officer asks Rue where she's headed, she starts to answer then v*, visual and audio.
Then around the 36 minute mark, she g*. I classed this as unsafe as the sound is quite triggering.
The last scene is easier to see coming, at around 41 minutes in, Rue is sitting, talking to someone and she says "I think I'm going to be sick", then she runs to the bathroom and v* twice. Audio only - I would mute but it's worth watching the rest of the scene.
Ep 6 - SAFE
(Rue holds her belly and runs to the toilet at one point, but she doesn't v*)
Ep 7 - SAFE
Ep 8 - SAFE *
(One mention, and one scene where blood is coming out if someone's mouth, may trigger some.)

SO MANY NUMBERS!2.have you ever found a writer who thinks just like you? if so, who?I wonder... Have I? Is the soulsistership something like that?17.do you miss anyone from your past? No. Not really. Tried to think of several people, but I kind of realized that there was a reason why we stopped talking.36.what is your opinion of socks? do you like wearing weird socks? do you sleep with socks? do you confine yourself to white sock hell? really, just talk about socks.I’m the person who has a drawer filled with Snoopy and Asterix socks because whenever I go to C&A they are there, tempting me. Also having clashing designs makes pairing them up MUCH more easier. I used to have one-colour ones or the ones that have the days written on them, but I kept mixing up wednesday and friday because they was only one shade of difference. 44.do you like poetry? what are some of your faves? It’s hmmm. I like T.S. Eliot. I think one of my favourite poems have no English translation, sadly. It’s “Semmi Kéz” by Dezső Tandori :o Also I’m quite fond of József Attilla, and poems like “Grief”59.what do you do when you’re sad?Make myself sadder? Usually I read things that made me cry, tire myself out so I can see thing clearer. If that does not help, then I use my OCs and try to cheer myself up through them, by forcing THEM to think positively. 79.who/what was your last dream about? You mean the giant divers coming down from the sky...? It was a weird dream.

Now, why did I put myself through this madness? Because I needed the full background prepared for my new story, HYPERTIME, starring March Wayne, Robin #26, and her cousin Lina Graysmith, the one and only Stormbird.
The multiverse is not prepared.
#Bats and Birds of Gotham#Hypertime Saga#fan fiction#bat family#those Waynes collect kids like there's no tomorrow#passing the torch#this isn't even everybody#only the active crimefighters#not the background support like Alfred and Leslie and Lucius#and their successors#but I can't be bothered to add more at the point#my neck hurts enough as it is
