Well if he keeps this up, The Complete Original Short Stories of Guy de Maupassant will definitely be on the list. He keeps making me cry. He was born in 1850 and died in 1893 and he's more feminist than so many other writers, including people who are publishing today, it's both refreshing and infuriating.

I loved Omnilingual by H. Beam Piper. It's a short story, but I want an entire novel's worth of it.

Okay, so, this is the second time I've gotten a bizarre Anon ask about how @ rjalker, who by the way, I discoursed with Once about murderbot diaries at least six months ago. I can't even pull it up because Tumblr search is a joke, but I received a similar Anon ask back then. I responded to that ask with a 'we don't do that here'. Because we don't. We don't do that here.

I don't know this person. I actually do not care at all about whatever is going on with it. I know to use it/it's pronouns because I Just looked it up. Obviously you do too, which leads me to believe you are very familiar with rjalker.

And I'm sincerely asking you to just. Block it and move on. I understand that sometimes it can feel So Good to be the person Fighting to protect everyone- the Only One who cares and surely if everyone knew what you knew they'd care too? I don't think you're trying to do a bad thing here. But it's got to be hurting you and...what's the point?

There are better uses of your time. You're a complete, human person, with depths and all this stuff that isn't in this Anon message. I'm not asking you to give up what you're Trying to do. But what you're Doing now is a smear campaign that's dragging random people in, and relying on a noncritical Oh No a BAD PERSON reaction to work.

Just as an explanation, since getting lost in the suburbs yesterday has made me sore and cotton-headed:

So, in late 2020 and early 2021, I was involved in a fair bit of queer discourse on here. I was not good at it. I had the good sense, though, to start up a side blog for it and eventually settled on the name 'drbuttocksfrompacman' (don't ask why. I do not know why. I was 18. It was three years ago).

For the rest of it, I'm going to copy-paste the explanation I did to some friends back in May, since I can't explain what happened better than I did then. (I will add more context and elaboration where necessary.)

Back in late 2020 and early 2021, I was involved in... shall we say, ace discourse. I was on the right side (I am incredibly ace and aro supportive, I am aroace, and I made it pretty damn clear, but participating in queer discourse was, in retrospect, a *really* bad idea for me. All the conflict made me constantly on-edge, and I was terrified of getting called out for some wrong comment or another.

I ended up deleting the blog for that exact reason, for the record. It's also why I've instituted the condiment toilet policy.

So, picture it: it's finals week. Between Lake Wonder games (I think we were still doing The Dreaming Mind at that point and Tiff was still a new character), taking my finals online, and packing up to move, I logged on to tumblr dot com and checked up. That's right: I made the grave and unforgivable mistake of searching up my name online.

So, further context is: there was a troll blog that I regularly interacted with because I just couldn't stand them, but the thing about interacting with troll blogs in an attempt to discredit them is that you *have* to seem aloof. If you get upset or *seem* upset, that only feeds them.

So, the other person implicated in the screenshot (asexual-junpei) was the troll blog in question, and I was drbuttocksfrompacman (as in, Betrayus's brother (I think. It's been a while)). I was openly aroace on my blog, I was constantly fighting in favor of aspec inclusion, and I was, notably, *not an aphobe*. At the time, I'm pretty sure my next post down was one about that exact topic. But because I seemed aloof at the time and Rjalker notably *did not check the other notes on the post where I was arguing with them and steadily showing my hand as actually upset about this*, they called me an aphobe.

So, when I noticed, I brought it up.

Saying "I brought it up" is probably an understatement. I flipped my entire shit about it. Even so.

animefacialrecognitionsoftware01 and I were in cahoots at the time (oof) and they pointed that out. I also provided proof and an explanation, which was readily *ignored* in favor of "well, you should have made it more clear." So then AFRS was called an ableist for... that, and the blow had already been dealt to me.

See, the thing is, if it had looked in the notes, it would have seen me break the facade as I steadily grew more and more frustrated. (What I didn't get was that you have to let the troll suffocate on its own silence. Engaging with them in any way just feeds them.)

Naturally, since I deleted the blog, Rjalker has me blocked (for something I'll get to in a second), and I don't feel like scrolling through AFRS's blog to get to something that happened literal years ago, I can't super easily grab a screenshot of the exchange anymore.

That's beside the point, though. I don't think you can grab one post at random from a person's blog and think it indicates their entire character. But I digress.

Back to what happened:

I had also changed the name of my main blog around that time, from arbys-chocolate-turnover to dollarstorefrankenstein.

Obviously, it eventually went from arbys-haunted-turnover to werehamburglar. dollarstorefrankenstein was a little silly in retrospect.

I wanted something spookier. I had also just completed a portfolio for a photography course I had to take for my major, which included a picture of one of my favorite skirts as a part of a... reflection piece I did. It was a project I did working with string lights that I knew would show up as red/orange on camera, which worked *very* well with the gold thread and sequins, so I turned that into my whole new theme: dollarstorefrankenstein, with that picture as my header and my blog brown and writing orange to match it. (I'll see if I can find the picture so you can see what I'm talking about.)

This is the picture in question. It's a very nice shade of red-orange. It's also, notably, not the same red or orange used for Shinigami Eyes. (I'm writing from my phone. I refuse to get up and get my computer to reinstall it just for this.)

Well, because I had been making some of my arguments from my main blog (drbuttocks was blocked), it went to look at my blog and... assumed the "red" meant I had been marked red by Shinigami Eyes (*NEVERMIND THAT ONE OF MY FOLLOWERS HAD MARKED ME GREEN AT THE TIME*), lied about not knowing that was my main (*I said so outright*), and added me to the blocklist for... transphobia.

I actually was marked green at the time. Looking at my notifications was very annoying. Here's the relevant screenshot:

The issue is less that it said I was transphobic and more that it never admitted it was wrong and never apologized for it. (I don't need an apology. I'm a grown man.)

And it does this *all the time*. Some of the people on this blocklist are evidently TERFs, transphobes, and homophobes, and others (like me, like Snow) are people who said something it didn't like or said something in a *way* it didn't like and therefore were deemed deserving of some classic calloutposting.

Kind of... moralistic grandstanding. It loves that shit.

At this point in time, this genuinely doesn't matter to me outside of something to laugh about. It's one of those "crazy Tumblr stories" I'll tell to my less-online friends. It was distressing at the time, but it's been a couple years since then. I'm a completely different person now. (That's not true. It also kind of is.)

This is not a callout. This is an "I am concerned because this person does not seem to understand that it needs to substantiate its claims when saying people are something or are engaging in certain modes of behavior." This is a "please learn to accept when you're wrong, because you are sometimes, and that's okay." This is also "this person is pretty irresponsible with its platform and dishonest in its argumentation."

Now, since it's a Sunday morning and my parents aren't home, I'm going to make myself some breakfast, take my dumbass pills (I got distracted), and not go to church. (Wouldn't want to get lost in the suburbs again, eh?)

oh, this is a really funny question. where did you come from? i posted about Rjalker days ago, and now im so looped and souped that i don't know how to answer (thank you, major heat incident of july 2023). the short version is that it's really trigger-happy vis a vis callouts, loves to argue in bad faith, and is overall very silly, which is why i just roll my eyes a little every time i see it in the wild. something something personal beef spiraling out into a whole Thing.

For the "Critical enjoying" anon, you'll have to wait a bit, as I finally put in the effort to actually make a Twitter account so I can specifically reach out directly to Martha Wells and ask her some questions about her works, and point of the previously -posted about transphobia and biological essentialism present in the works, and how to change it.

Because it boils down to this:

1) is a work bigoted because the author is deliberately baking that bigotry into their work to send a specific message, like Jkr's Antisemitism, transphobia, racism, etc?

Or is it because the author just genuinely didn't know about/ realize those elements were in their work and had already taken steps to correct their portrayal in later installments after learning more about the topic and becoming aware of more societal issues they never considered before?

Is there bigotry in a work because this is a belief the author strongly believes in and wants the audience to feel the same, like Miraculous Ladybug being written by 45 year old white men who have already shown themselves to be predators-- Winny drew and publicly posted porn of the main child characters to his Twitter with no repercussions and is still a party of this show as of August 2022,

,the entire point of Adrien's character is to brainwash young girls into thinking being the target of sexual harassment is romantic, the racism and objectification of Asian women in the show, etc,

Like. Cis people do not go around thinking about gender, at all. Gender and sex to them are literally one and the same with zero distinction

They just accept it as a fact that Physical sex characteristics = gender, and it's not until they meet or have discussions with trans people or become aware of their struggles that they even realize they've had these preconceived biases to begin with.

I know this because I've had multiple conversations about being queer with older, cis, straight coworkers who were genuinely supportive of queer rights, they just have zero grasp on any of the basic concepts. And I mean zero. Zilch. Nada.

They support their trans cousins but use the wrong pronouns and say "identify as" until it's explained that "no, they don't identify as a male, they are a boy, and you should be showing your love and respect for him by referring to him as such even when you're not directly talking to him-- especially when you're not even directly talking to him, because that's the only way you're going to actually change your perception of him and actually use the correct pronouns and name for him when you're face to face, you have to practice and study pronouns, it's not supposed to be a pop quiz every time you see him so you end up fumbling your words and misgendering him and deadnaming him, all completely by accident because you don't think about it until you're face to face".

And then they realize "oh hey you're right, I never thought of it like that before. All of this is so new to me! I'll try to do better next time I see him."

Like. Most of the other trans people in the Murderbot fandom haven't even noticed the issue @rjalker first pointed out until it's... Pointed out.

Most people are literally not even thinking about the fact that all bots and constructs use it/its pronouns, because they're too caught up in the fact that characters are using neopronouns at all, so if the widely-trans fanbase hasn't noticed the issue, how do you expect the author to even realize its an issue?

Plus there's the fact that if you scroll through her Twitter account...She's literally reblogging All these news articles and posts celebrating queer Identities, encouraging people to vote the whole ballot to make sure anti-LGBT laws are not unanimously passed by republicans, encouraging everyone to help stop anti abortion laws being passed, raising up Native and Black and Asian voices in the right against racism, the most recent being that people are predicably being super racist, specifically anti-Native about the new Predator movie that came out August 5th 2022, aka literally just four days ago as of me typing this post.

Oh, and actively signal boosting queer authors whose books are actively trans and queer (which is why I am now going to see if my library's ebook section has "The Jasmine Throne" by Tasha Suri!)

TL;DR:

There is a world of difference between enjoying the works of Martha Wells, who has had some problematic elements in her work that have been course-corrected over the years as she learns, just like literally any random person off the street is not an immediate expert on oppression,

versus

people like the ML creators and JKR who are actively targeting their audience with bigotry to normalize it and show it as correct AND further profiting off their bigotry to go on and continue pushing their incredibly dangerous and harmful agendas.

Unfortunately, @aeonghaseyo and I had to make this together, because there is an apparent problem within the MLB fandom that’s mostly and almost always seen with the Adrien Stans.

Rape Culture within the MLB Fandom

What is Rape Culture?:

Rape Culture, defined by the Rape Prevention and Education program, is when Rape culture exists in a society or environment in which common social beliefs, attitudes and morals normalise sexual violence, encourage people to associate sex with violence, and minimise the seriousness of sexual violence (Wright, 2015). Within rape culture, sexual violence is accepted, justified and not challenged enough by society (Field, 2004).

The number of sexual assaults is high but the rates of convictions of perpetrators are low and excuses are often made to justify why people commit sexual violence (Field, 2004). Rape jokes are common, the word “rape” gets casually thrown into conversations to describe things other than sex without consent (“Did you see the game last night? We totally RAPED them!”), and people are told “don’t get raped” more often than people are told “don’t rape.”

There is also a hierarchy of rape culture with Rape at the top, and other things involving Victim Blaming and Unwanted Touching at the bottom. Both things that have been seen and ignored in the Miraculous Ladybug Fandom. Especially when it is Adrien doing these things to Marinette/Ladybug.

Is Adrien a sexual harasser?

Sexual harassment is defined by behavior characterized by the making of unwelcome and inappropriate sexual remarks or physical advances in a workplace or other professional or social situation. Adrien has displayed this type of behavior all under the costume of Chat Noir with his powers of destruction. Thankfully a post provided by @rjalker gave us plenty of examples of Adrien sexually harassing Ladybug. The link for the post is right here.

Read at your own risks, Adrien’s behavior in these examples are fairly uncomfortable. But to answer the question asked above, yes. Yes, Adrien Agreste is a sexual harasser who repeatedly ignores Ladybug’s pleas to stop.

Working his way up the pyramid

I want everyone to take a good look at the pyramid.

I want you to think of all the things Chat Noir has done to ladybug. Do you see how as the seasons progresses, his actions become higher on the pyramid. For those of you who don’t remember all of the things Chat Noir has done I’ll underline what actions he is doing to see how he’s working his way up the pyramid.

Adrien has worked his way up from yellow to orange. Although, Chloe, Lila, and Marinette have at least done one or more of these things on the pyramid, what they did gets acknowledged and not swept under the rug. It is very concerning that a children’s show character should ever be this high up on the pyramid.

The Bottomline

The bottomline of sexual harassment is the lack of consent for someone infiltrating your personal space and boundaries. It's not even just limited to extreme physical touch or just catcalling. Even if Adrien's advances seem innocuous, if it's repeated and Ladybug gets annoyed and tells him to stop, and he repeats this over and over, it's harassment. Yes, even when she tells him to stop, then he has a go again at trying to make his unwanted advances towards her. Such a situation is tantamount to being told no by the person being flirted with, but thinking maybe the person changed their mind so it's okay to continue next time. No. This is not okay. You do not assume the consent of others. Their consent has to be up to them. That being said, Adrien is in no way entitled to interacting with Ladybug as Chat Noir in a way that she feels uncomfortable with, and by due right, if he's being too pushy and insists too much on them being meant to be repeatedly AND LADYBUG SAID NO MULTIPLE TIMES, tossing him in the trash can is self-defense. You do not get to hold Ladybug liable for hurting your blonde saint’s feelings just by defending herself from his harassment.

It's worth noting also that as a hormonal teenage boy, Adrien is one who lets his emotions guide him too much to the point where he disregards Ladybug’s disapproval of his actions towards her. She couldn't have expressed it any clearer and he still continued on and on. It might have been because his social skills are too inadept from being cooped up at home that he thinks this is totally okay when it’s not. The point here, however, is that this behavior of his towards Ladybug should not be excused because of his circumstances, not even his age. He has a responsibility to change for the better. He has to know this is not supposed to be normalized, because normalizing this kind of behavior, though seemingly harmless to other people, will only bring about a gradual normalization of much more pressing matters on sexual harassment. Insisting that Adrien has no responsibility for his actions and to change these acts and learn to treat his partner better makes him a character with a lack of will to be a better person, and one such character who has no agency whatsoever on his own. At this point, he is reduced to a husk of a being who can't think for himself at all, always at the mercy of those around him.

When Adrien stans say it's not sexual assault but it clearly is one of the signs from the bottom of the pyramid, it's already a sign of normalization. They're normalizing this while brushing it off as something okay; they're part of the problem. Yes, even those people who claim to have never sexually harassed someone but still think this sort of treatment is okay, even flattering. Remember that the one thing that will always set apart a regular decent action from one that is sexual harassment is consent. If consent is challenged in any way, it constitutes harassment. It could never be any simpler than this.

I can only assume you mean me saying 99% of people don't actually want to learn. I'll finish writing the document of bigotry in the Animorphs books at some point, but I'm not getting paid to write it, and that's a lot of work that's not fun, and I have other things I'd rather be doing, not to mention my mom keeps dumping last minute plans on me that ruin all my schedules.

It's not about making fair assumptions when people ask "But how is the Animorphs bigoted?" It's about the fact that 20+ people have asked me the same question, then I spent literal hours writing in depth explanations, only for them to not even read a single word I wrote, and instead leap to calling me several slurs and then harassing me for days afterward by block evading after I block them.

You might have genuinely good intentions, but that's not how the rest of the fandom works, because 99% of the people in this fandom (and all fandoms, to be honest) are actively bigoted and do not want to improve at all. If they did, their first response to being told their favorite book series is bigoted wouldn't be to call people slurs.

If you go back far enough on my blog, you can see for yourself all the times I put in hours of work trying to politely explain to people in this fandom why the books are bigoted, only to be met with nothing but hostility and ableism and all kinds of insults.

I would literally take the time to type out, one handed, on my phone, pages from the book I was holding with my other hand to illustrate my points. And got called slurs as a reward. Because the bigots I was trying to educate didn't actually want to learn, they just wanted me to waste my precious time.

You have to undersand that explaining to you why the series is bigoted in detail is not just about you, you're not the first person to ask, you're just one person in a long line of people who've asked me to put in my time, without pay, to explain to you things I've already explained dozens of times before.

I will finish writing the document of bigotry in the Animorphs books at some point, but that is a whole massive amount of effort both physically and emotionally. And I'm doing it for free, in my own time, when I could be doing things that are actually enjoyable instead.

I've got plenty of posts on my blog explaining the bigotry in the Animorphs books, in detail, that you can find if you search it for "Animorphs" and "Rjalker reads the Animorphs" and any other related keywords you can think of.

But minorities who are angry about bigotry don't owe you in depth lectures of why exactly it's bigoted and how you can do better, because we aren't getting paid to be your teacher, we're venting on the internet.

Pretend you're in a time loop, and you are surrounded by people who hate you. It doesn't matter what you do or how nicely you greet them, they will always hate your guts as soon as they meet you and nothing you say will change this.

When you finally get out of the time loop, your friends may be shocked at how "rude" you're being to the bigots who technically haven't done anything to you yet.

Because they were not in the time loop, they have not been subjected to the same reactions of bigotry and hatred over and over again.

You have not yet gone through the time loop. You haven't had your genuine attempts to educate people on bigotry met with nothing but more purposeful, targeted bigotry yet.

No one on the internet owes you lectures and essays on why exactly certain things are bigoted, not even if they've already made a post saying that it is bigoted. Unless you're paying people, you can't expect or demand everyone drop everything to teach you why something is bigoted.

Especially not when a few searches would find the answers for you in the first place.

I'll finish the document at some point, but I'm doing it for free, I have a lot of other things I'd rather be writing, and I am in no rush. Unless you suddenly win the lottery and want to pay me $50/h, you're just gonna have to be patient and wait.

Pee Girl is a nickname we use for the user, fairlyoddfriendshipspoofandfoop, formerly known as plaggandadrienbondingisthebest, and her nickname um....comes from a kink I will not spell as I don't wanna lure the community here, but it uh, concerns peeing basically....and she earned the nickname after it was found she was drawing fanart and writing fics with this kink and....Plagg, Duusuu and Adrien, one of which is a minor, and she's also been supportive off Invader Zim pee kink, a show that involves minors still, and when called out, defends it with how she's doing it in a safe manner....ignoring that in reality, children cannot consent to her pee kink.

But if you thought that was all, oh boy- say you don't like Adrien and your pretty vocal about it or you write a salt fic, chances are you just earned a spot on her hit list of people she'll stalk on either tumblr or alternate tumblr if you're got her blocked, and she'll screenshot your blogs and post about them on her blog, only reblogging a couple of times the posts directly, one of which was to oddly curse at Harriyanna, a youtuber who does good videos on topics including ML, in badly worded russian....cause Harriyanna called out Adrien's poor writing. And while discussing Harriyanna, Pee Girl basically stalked and harassed her on not only tumblr, but also IG and youtube, making multiple accounts on youtube even to do so when Harriyanna blocked her and even tried to impersonate other people Pee Girl didn't like to do so, just to ruin them a little, and its gotten to the point Harriyanna's had to call the police on her. And Harriyanna is not the only user she's stalked and harassed- she's also stalked others including zoe-oneesama, Rjalker and Lady-LB, with her stalking of Lady-LB extending more then a year by the looks of things, as she still gets mad at Lady-LBs fic, The Liar And The Broken Balance. She's also called Rjalker the R slur, when Rjalker is autistic and so is Pee Girl, but it should be noted that does not give her the right to call others the R slur, and still harassed Rjalker over fanfics....cause Pee Girl apparently can't move the fuck on.

And in terms of fanfics but also uh, Marinette, she's also wished harm on Marinette via...wishing Marinette would be R worded by....bugs, and used as a breeding source.....on someone's fanfic.....yeah....and about Marinette.....she has a hate for her, if that wasn't obvious. But uh, her hate is concerning- say you post positive Marinette stuff or Lady Noire stuff, she'll get pissed at you and reblog with how much she hates Marinette or give backhanded compliments. She has a particular hatred for Lady Noire though, as it means Plagg and Marinette are friends and according to Pee Girl's HCs, that isn't possible, as Pee Girl uses Plagg as her self-insert to hate on Marinette to the point via Plagg, she's threatened to harm Marinette....for apparently being a jerk to Adrien. And wishing harm on Marinette is something she specializes in....to the point she cheered on Gabriel in the 100th episode and has said Marinette's sick in the head to the point she cant get help and basically gets bitchy at ANYTHING Marinette does in canon. Why you may ask??? Cause she's mean to poor Adrien....and basically uses the stalking thing constantly which while fair to call that out, does not excuse the amount of hate Pee Girl speaks about Marinette.

But don't worry, she also hates Alya and Alix....cause they were mean to poor Adrien- you sensing a pattern here? She also likes Chloe and Felix and Lila, which while okay, is hypocritical when you realize how much she goes out of her way to hate Marinette, Alya and Alix, insisting that Chloe, Felix and Lila can change....but somehow Marinette, Alya and Alix can't.

we can't ask for donations "directly" to the community garden because some stupid bullshit, but you can literally just send money to me, with a note or something that it's for the garden, and I will buy supplies for the garden. Because literally no one else knows anything about gardening, and they admit this, and appointed us "expert gardeners" to ask questions of, but then don't actually listen to us when we tell them what we desperately need for the community garden to actually work -- mainly, mulch and actual quality potting soil. Not just top soil and the horrible free dirt the city gave us that's filled with broken glass.

How to use the templates

Step one is to pick the template you want to use. For this example I’ll use the Even More Basic Template.

Step two is to open a word processing program. This could be google docs, microsoft word, open office, or wordonline.

Step three is the paste in your template, using whichever pronoun set you want the pronouns you’re testing to follow.

Step four is to use the “find” tool, then set it to “find and replace”, and start typing in what is in the bullet-point list.

This is the template for the Even More Basic Template:

Hi, so I was thinking about crossover ideas but what do you think about Gabriel making another ridiculous Akuma that somehow causes the merging of the Yu-Gi-Oh verse with the ML one.

Most likely because the Akuma is a student who has difficulty remembering their history lessons or they make up their ideas of historic events as they go along, or Jalil (Alix's racist brother) got akumatised because someone called him out for being racist and making up things about historic figures.

The result is that the very history of the two worlds changes to acclimate, and the reality of this new world is marching as if there was only a single world to begin with.

Notably, because this IS a Yu-Gi-Oh world, every little problem is probably getting solved by playing a children's card game.

The Miraculouses are now acting more like the seven Egyptian artifacts, with the kwamies inhabiting them and blending with or posessing the minds of their holders, and everyone using them has some new power in Dueling.

The Kwamies may remember how the original world was, and they may or may not have more freedom to act instead of being literally enslaved by their holders in this new reality. Since these versions of the kwami can take over their host's bodies (and could thus very easily cause them to lose the miracuous/artifact by giving it to someone they like better), there isn't really any way to control them the way Gabriel did in the original world, which means he's going to have to actually persuade Nooroo to help him out of his own free will.

Their holders most likely don't remember, but you can try that angle as well.

And then we have to wonder how this reality works when it comes to Hawkmoth and Ladybug and the rest of the Miraculous Holders.

Is the Hawkmoth in this reality still capable of Akumatising  people, but he now needs to defeat them in a Duel first?

And if so, does that mean that the only way for Marinette to defeat the Akumas here is by literally defeating them in a card game?

What are the rules of the miraculous in this world?

What timeline is this reality set in? The original Duel Monsters? GX? Arc-V? VRAINS?

And is there someone of the Yu-Gi-Oh verse who realised that the world has changed somehow?

(Also, Rjalker, a little question if it's fine; is it acceptable or fitting to have Gabriel's demise be by him getting a Mind Crush or be sent to the Shadow Realm? Or is this an overkill?)

Hello guys I wrote part 2!!! I didn’t expect you to ask for it, but thank you all so much for doing so!! I really love all of you!! There will defintly be a part 3 soon. Not really soon though, I have math test on thursday. You all are so so so nice!! I know this is really bad, and I really struggled with it. I tried my best but it’s kind of terrible. Everything feels clumsy and akward.

“You little shit!!” Adrien shouted Plagg, but quickly regaining his composure, he added “I can’t believe you exposed my secret identity!!! Now I will never be able to be Chat Noir again! How could you??” Adrien said, in his Sadrien way, trying to salvage the situation. If he will convince Ladybug to let him keep his role, then he may stay Chat Noir.  Fu is not there anymore to take his ring.

“Oh don’t make yourself look so innocent!!” Plagg said angrily. “I will not let you be Chat Noir again!! I won’t let you abuse me that way again!!!” he added with fury. 

“Me? Abused you? I could never abuse you!! I gave you all the Camembert you asked for! I never hurt you!” Adrien said while trying to keep his act. 

“You forced me to transform constantly!!  You blackmailed me!! You tortured me to try and find out my secrets! I don’t need to explain it to you. I don’t owe you anything!!” Plagg yelled angrily,  and added “And your abuse will stop now!! You won’t be Chat Noir anymore.” to remind both himself and Adrien.  

“What’s going on?” Marinette questioned, watching the argument from the side, wondering what should she do.  

“The Akuma hit Adrien a second before I was in the ring, which caused us to switch bodies.” Plagg explained. “And I am using this chance to make sure he will no longer have power over me. I won’t let him use me like that anymore.”  

“So Adrien… is Chat Noir?” She asked disappointed, betrayed, and shocked.  

“I am my Lady! Please help me get back to my body!! I never would have hurt him! You don’t seriously believe what he is saying?!  Do you??” He tried approaching Ladybug, but she went back and tried to evade him. 

“Yeah, I do believe him!! I would believe him any day before you!!! Stay away from me!!!!” She yelled at him, threateningly, ready to strike him.  She knows there’s no point, that her yoyo will go right through him, or he will destroy it. Plagg stood between them in an attempt to protect Marinette.

“Your tricks aren’t working here! No one believes you! And you will never be Chat Noir again!”

“Well then, I have nothing to lose!! Cataclysm!!!!!” He yelled and tried to lounge at Plagg, only to be knocked back by a weird magic barrier (The same one that Nooroo couldn’t go through in Sandboy) 

“You aren’t allowed to Cataclysm me, I was ordered to never Cataclysm my holder. and now you inherited my orders.” Plagg explained. 

“In that case!!” Adrien said frustrated. going around Plagg triking to strike Ladybug instead. Ladybug dodged in time, and Adrien was sucked into the ring with a dramatic “NO!!!” as Plagg took it off.

“Thanks for saving me there,” Marinette said breathing a sigh of relief. “I’m sorry he abused you that way. You obviously didn’t deserve it.”  Marinette added awkwardly.  “So… what did you want to talk to me about?” She asked. 

“Making sure that Adrien will never be Chat Noir. I am not ready to go back and help him again. I know you can’t let me stay in his body, I know you need to repair the damage. So I will give you now the ring” He put the ring in her hand. “And promise you won’t give it back to him. Or anyone else.  And please don’t use it yourself as well.” Plagg said.  “Tikki told me how much she appreciates you. She said that you are “The best chosen she had in years”. She said that you are trying your hardest to liberate her, and I believe her. Please prove her right, and don’t use me against my will.” 

“All right than,” Marinette said.  “Do you want me to keep you in the box, or do you want me to wear the ring so you could stay here?” Marinette asked awkwardly.

“I would much rather stay in the box for now. I missed all my friends, and I don’t really feel too comfortable with you constantly wearing my ring. I would feel freer if you didn’t” Plagg answered. He would still be able to be in the box without the ring being there. But having someone wear his ring isn’t something he can accept very easily.  He just wants to destroy it (And he will eventually)

“Before you will repair the damage, can I talk with Tikki? I want to make sure that I am not doing a mistake.  already know your secret identity Marinette, so you can transform in front of me.”  Plagg requested

“Sure. Spots off. I will give you too some privacy. Call me when you are done.” She gave him the ring back and went somewhere else to not bother them.

“Why didn’t you tell me that Adrien acts this way towards you?” Tikki asked. She thought he was as happy as her with his chosen. They never had good holders before. When the order gave them to the chosen, the chosen were trained in how to enslave them, and how to make sure they would obey. Now that Tikki had a chosen who wasn’t as trained as those, she didn’t know she had that kind of power. And when she learned that she does, she vowed to never use it.  

And naturally, she thought that Plagg was the same way. Plagg seemed really happy, and he could sneak around and eat a lot of cheese. Tikki didn’t think anything would happen. 

“I didn’t want to make you worried! You were so excited about your new holder! I didn’t want to make you worry. You deserve a break.” Plagg answered. “Besides, he wasn’t nearly as bad as those who previously used me.” Plagg added. He knew that Tikki can probably do nothing for him, as she can’t reveal who Chat Noir is to Ladybug, and she can’t take the ring herself. 

“Well, now I am definitely worried. At least it’s over for now.” Tikki said frustrated.“And don't worry about Marinette. Marinette would never use you! She tries very hard to find a way to release us, but she couldn’t find a way to break the rules. But maybe with you, she will be able to finally free us!” 

“Maybe. I hope she won’t end up like the last person to try and free us.” Plagg said in a pessimistic way. “At least now the order won’t be here to stop her.” He hoped at least. Nobody knows what happened in Feast. 

“Well, should we call Marinette back? Is there anything else you want to talk about?” Tikki questioned?

“I think we should” He dialed up her number from Adrien’s phone. “You can come back!” 

And she ran back there breathless. Plagg gave her the ring back and she put it in her Yoyo. “Tikki spots on!!” She said as she transformed. “Miraculous Ladybug!!!” Marinette yelled as the swarm of Ladybug repaired the damage. 

“Now to deal with you little shit!!” She turned to Adrien

I have not seen Chat Blanc except for the ending on TV; let me say that I am acting on second hand information and Adrien did not deserve what happened to him. Despite that I saw posts on Tumblr who pointed out not only due to his own questionable behaviour; how bad it would be only interested in the girl who is Ladybug and not the girl herself. This fic will not be kind to him at all.

The class at Francoise Dupont were ecstatic when the day came when Marinette and Adrien walked into class hand in hand; their eyes filled with love. Pretty much the entire class except for a jealous Chloe; were beyond excited and Marinette was cornered by her circle of female friends who said that she gave Adrien a confession note and Adrien then asked her out. She insisted that was how it started but Alya could note beleive that after all the schemes all it took was just one note.

For months the class were supporting their new biggest power couple (beating out Ivan and Mylene) and of course the media was all over them; people were coming to her site and she was being pressured for interviews. Especially hoping for Adrien to be the unofficial spokesperson and model for her website.

The only thing that would be better for Alya would be if Ladybug and Chat Noir got together but during this time Chat Noir had not been flirting and they were acting just as friends. It felt weird especially with the strange looks Chat Noir was giving her...

Then came one Monday when they were all waiting for the couple and Adrien entered first looking nervous which made them a bit confused; then Marinette but she actually gave a glare to his direction and actually moved to the back to be away from her.

Marinette was asked if they were having their first couple's fight but then Marinette shocked them all with a simple response:

"I broke up with him."

Everyone was sure that they misheard Marinette or this was all a dream but it was all real; Marinette refused to say anything else on the subject and Adrien was too vague in how he worded it. He just said that he made a mistake and Marinette found out and didn't take it well. Alya and Nino jsut assured him to give her some time as they were all sure she was just overreacting as she sometimes did. This was nothing more than their first couple's fight and it would be fixed soon.

However it didn't.

Marinette kept refusing to talk to him despite his attempts and would glare in his direction when he would come near. However what clinched it to Alya, Mylene, Juleka, Rose and Alix that it was way more serious than they thought when they had their get together at her house.

Her room was void of everything that had Adrien's face on it as well as her schedule; except for one thing: a photo of him that was taped to a dart board and was vandalised with writings of hate.

Then Alya started scheming to get them back together; it started small with inviting her to togethers with Adrien secretly there. However she would suddenly go away as soon as she saw them and despite attempts to block her way outs; she would find a way out of them. For school projects Alya would insist they work together as a team but it seemed to only make things worse.

Marinette became more hostile to Adrien especially willing to freak out anyone so much as mention the breakup and it prevented any work done. Marinette got her parents involved and Ms Bustier finally had to break up the team and allowed Marinette to work with another team. Ms Bustier had gotten demands that the class stop forcing their daughter to work with Adrien when she clearly was not ready to be near him again; threats of class transfers so she had no choice but to forbidden pestering Marinette about it in school.

Marinette's parents were aware that things were bad and refused to let Adrien anywhere near the Bakery unless he was a customer. Any questions of asking to see Marinette caused demands for him to leave. When word got out that Adrien and his girlfriend had breaking up; they were determined to get details themselves but the Dupain-Chengs kept chasing reporters away from the bakery. Nadja Chamack had cashed in a few favours to get her media company to leave her friends' daughter and her private life alone.

Marinette resorted to inviting Adrien and Marinette to her house in secret; Adrien was in a room and Alya ended up pushing Marinette into it and barricading and locking the door. She went out and locked the door wanting to give it an hour or two to let them patch things up.

However Marinette had her phone and her parents number so she ended up calling Mrs Cesaire to tell her that Alya locked her in the house with her ex boyfriend. Alya got home to see her furious mother; Alya ended up with a month's grounding and her parents strongly warning her to leave Marinette alone about whatever happened with Adrien. Apparently when her mother let them out; Adrien was nursing an area on his face and jaw where he was both slapped and punched!

Alya kept screaming in her head about the attempts that failed; she wanted to shout into Adrien's ear demanding what exactly he did. What could he have done to cause her best friend who previously was over the moon in love with him to outright despite him so much. For crying out loud; she now spent more time being hostile to him than Chloe nowadays!

During this time Paris and those on the Ladyblog noted that things seemed to be just as bad for Ladybug and Chat Noir. Ladybug became hostile to Chat Noir and was now refusing to tolerate anything that looked like he was not taking the fighting Akumas seriously; she would snap and berate him for any flirtatious comments. She would even refuse to do any 'Pound It' now; after Miraculous Ladybug she would comfort the victim and then Bug Out.

She asked Ladybug and said that bridges were burned between them and now their relationship was now strictly nothing more than professional. Alya wished she could care more about this than she did but honestly she was still too bummed out about Marinette and Adrien.

She finally gave out and stopped pestering Marinette for details; her class elected to now comfort her about it. There was even her other finds Kagami and Luka willing to help her get through it and be her old self again. Alya decided Marinette's happiness was more important than trying to fix her relationship with Adrien. She knew Adrien was still crushed about it but what more could be done?

She would give her time and help Marinette get back into the dating game when she was ready; there were other fishes in the sea they say. She thought that Luka and Kagami were good fish so to speak.

Marinette was slowly getting over Adrien and was happy that her friends had finally relented and gave up on trying fixing things between her and Adrien. She was still mad at Alya for the stunt she pulled but was happy with her sincere apology and did think she would think of seeing about getting her together with Luka and Kagami. She appreciated the sentiment but she wanted to take this slow and didn't want to turn any of her friends into a rebound relationship.

They deserved more than that.

The hurt was still there and she thought the time spent dating him were the best of her entire life; then came that day:

She and Chat Noir had been done with facing off against an Akuma; afterwards she was trying to find a place to turn back but then spotted Chat Noir transforming back. She panicked as she closed her eyes but paused when she heard Plagg say those words:

"So are you worried about if she is going to find out Adrien?"

She opened her eyes and saw that Adrien was indeed Chat Noir! She was still trying to wrap her head that her boyfriend was indeed her partner all this time but was caught off guard when Adrien began saying he would prefer to make sure that Marinette doesn't know that he knows that she is Ladybug.

Since the day she spotted Ladybug leaving his room and leaving the note.

A horrible thought came over her...

"Please don't tell me that you only asked me out because you knew I was Ladybug?" Marinette asked pleadingly surprising Adrien as he turned around and spotted her there. He panicked and said he could explain; he said that he thought it would be perfect since they turned out to have been in love with their other halves all this time.

She was still unable to believe it even as she transformed back into Marinette; Tikki herself did not look pleased and Plagg was silent. He had taken advantage of her crush to be with his Lady in secret. He knew all this time and didn't say anything...

"We are through Adrien!" she snapped at him and ran home with tears in her eyes. Adrien caught up to her in the Bakery. And he explained that he did love her and how when they met he knew that whoever it was under the mask he was in love with her. That he hates being the perfect boy image his father forced him to play and how being Chat Noir allows him to cut loose and finally be his true self.

That had the opposite effect than what he hoped; all it said to Marinette was the sweet kind boy that she was in love with was just an act and the real Adrien was the irresponsible idiot who got on her nerves. She snapped at him to leave before going to her room.

She go through her days trying to deal with her friends' attempts to learn more or trying to get them back together. At least she had support from friends she had outside the class and her parents. Plus Adrien's attempts to plead with her only made her angrier. He had snuck in one night to speak as Chat Noir but she was able to easily able to take him down.

She got his hand and showed she could easily get the Miraculous back; she warned him never to try it again. She threatened that she would take it away from him and then call for her parents if he tried this again. She asked how would it look for Adrien Agreste to break into his ex girlfriend's room in the middle of the night and get arrested. How his father would react from the PR disaster that would be created.

Adrien pleaded with her silently not to do this; that his father would not let him go near him or the school again. Marinette's face had no sympathy and let go repeating the warning she just gave him.

She could barely work with him as Superheroes anymore but things were getting easier; Master Fu assured her that he was coming up with a solution. What he didn't tell her was that he was looking for a replacement Chat Noir. Why punish Marinette for Adrien's foolish mistake. The rules were supposed to be that they would both have to give up their Miraculous but Marinette was one of if not the best Ladybug holder and Paris needs the best they can get for Hawk Moth.

I want to say that Marinette’s problem with Adrien here is that after finding out he found out her identity and took advantage of it; that he was more in love with the mask of Ladybug than Marinette herself. To Marinette she had a realisation her relationship was basically a lie and Adrien was actually her irresponsible and petty partner. Plus the Adrien she fell in love with was just a persona forced upon him by his father and when he is himself as Chat Noir he annoys and irritates her.
