I started reading this Webtoon thinking I'd enjoy reading the first episodes, but then lose interest after a while and stop reading, like I usually do. But it didn't happen. Instead, this became one of my favorite Webtoons. This was one hell of a ride and I'm so sad it's over, but I had a lot of fun while it was still going and it brought me and lots of other people a lot of happiness. I'm so proud of all the characters, who all matured throughout their journey, and of Jimena, for creating one of the best stories I've ever seen. Thank you so much for the laughs and the crying and all the emotions I felt while reading your comic! ♡♡♡

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited East Manchester Community Boat Project at Portland Basin Museum Marina, Portland Place, Ashton-Under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, to mark its Thirtieth Anniversary.

Imma be honest tom and timmy combo sounds a little boring to me, I understand why people want to see the duo to see film twitter fall apart and fandoms sort of lose their minds but I also feel like fandoms just recycling the same 5 people timmy, tom, austin, JE and paul mescal like sometimes I feel like thats all people know.

Like give me something with jeremy pope and austin butler , or where is the tom and kelvin harrison jr do a musical film, or any other person who isnt white like ashton sanders, dev patel brian tyree henry, kofi srirobe , cory hawkins like lets expand outside of the same 5 people. Fandoms and film twitter just feels like a sea of white people like we need to bring in the POC love, Imma be honest some young POC actors have been killing it in terms of acting and have outsihined alot of the peoples white faves.

Like I feel a white actor can deliver one mediocre performance and boom they are loved and become it boy status whereas this its never the same for POC actor who are constantly proving themselves and will never be seen as "it boy" ( like white supremacy in hollywood and in fandoms really make it seem there are only 5 good white actors its kinda sad no offense)

its like I can Imagine a better duo or at least lets get tom to partner up with ncuti gatwa in a fun charismatic buddy film.

No offense, but the latter 3 actors you mentioned have JUST started to really make their shine in Hollywood, so Idk if I would necessarily count them in your list of HW "just recycling the same 5 people" since they've barely just started getting more lead roles on the big screen. There are tons of POC that are killing it in the industry. John Boyega is a personal fave of mine 😊, Daniel Kaluuya, Damson Idris, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and yes....even the fallen Jonathan Majors... All VERY good actors who are very promising imo.

Girl, you know this is the US we're talking about here. So if POC actors aren't getting as much shine, then unfortunately, that's due to systemic racism. It's also due to the fact that it seems as though the heavy fandom world (especially for ACTORS) just doesn't seem to be as big in the black community as it is in other racial communities? I mean, correct me if I'm WRONG, but it seems like in the black community, girls are probably more likely to be going crazy stanning a music artist over an ACTOR. 👀 Whereas girls in other racial groups tend to go hard on the stanning of not just music artists, but also actors as well. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's just something I've picked up on over the years....

Alec Guinness and David Lean made six features together, starting with Guinness's film debut in Great Expectations (1946). The Bridge on the River Kwai won him his only Oscar, but he seems to have been as much a good-luck charm for Lean as vice versa, since Lean miscast him rather badly in two otherwise successful films: Lawrence of Arabia (1962), in which he is rather embarrassingly non-Arab as King Feisal, and A Passage to India (1984), in which he plays Prof. Godbole with an accent that sounds more like Apu on The Simpsons than any actual Brahmin scholar. The part of Col. Nicholson in Bridge is a bit underwritten: We never really learn what the character's motives are for his eventual collaboration with the Japanese in building the bridge, and his moment of self-awareness as he says, "What have I done?" when he realizes the bridge is about to be blown up, is not adequately prepared for. But Guinness was a consummate trouper, even though he often clashed with Lean about the character, whom he wanted to be less of a stiff-upper-lip type than the director did. The movie won seven Oscars, including one for screenplay that was presented to Pierre Boulle, the author of the novel on which it was based. In fact, Boulle spoke and wrote no English; the screenplay was by Carl Foreman and Michael Wilson, who were blacklisted for supposed communist ties and were judged ineligible under Academy rules. Their Oscars and their screen credit were restored posthumously in 1984. Today, Bridge looks like a well-made entertainment with some major flaws: The moral dilemma that centers on Col. Nicholson, who wants to demonstrate the superiority of the British at the expense of actually serving the Japanese cause, feels artificially created -- surely some of the officers and enlisted men under Nicholson's command had something to say about the colonel's plans. Sessue Hayakawa deserved his supporting actor nomination as Col. Saito, though the part verges on stereotype. The role of the American, Shears (William Holden), who opposes Nicholson, seems to be cooked up to provide something for a major movie star to play: Note that Holden receives top billing, and that Guinness, even though he was nominated for and won a leading actor Oscar, is billed third. The trek through the jungle by Shears, Maj. Warden (Jack Hawkins), Lt. Joyce (Geoffrey Horne), and their attractively nubile team of female bearers takes up a lot of not very involving screen time. And the demolition of the bridge and the train crossing it seems oddly anticlimactic, owing to some complications in blowing up and filming an actual full-size bridge and train. Today, of course, miniatures and special effects would be used to make the scene more exciting, but even for an actual blowing up of a bridge and a train, a sequence that had to be got right the first time, the one in Bridge is actually less successful than the one done 30 years earlier by Buster Keaton in The General (1926).

Wanna see a real arrogant jerk?? Well, there he is. Me. Yeah. That's right. Young, immature, a real ass. I was a really intolerant guy. I hated everyone that didn't fit my narrow views. Gays, Jews, Blacks, Hispanics, Indians, the handicapped and especially those fat people. Yeah. I hated fat people most of all. I was poking fun of a fat chick when I walked out in front of a bus. Yep. A bus. Oh, that's gonna leave a mark! Well, the bus cracked open my head and messed up my hypothalamus. In case you didn't know, it's the little part of the brain that controls appetite regulation. Yep. Old Chet doesn't know when his tummy's full anymore. Trying to correct it, but looks like I'm gonna be one of those fat people. I was 159 pounds here.

Ok, well the doctor put me on these pills that would fill my stomach up and make it uncomfortable for me to eat more, and me, being the arrogant jackass I was, decided that MANLY WILLPOWER alone would get me by until I could get over this thing. Wasn't smart. Six months after the accident, I'd gained up to 228 pounds. Okay, so I started taking the pills ... after I ate. I didn't follow the directions. I didn't measure my meals and I didn't follow the diet as prescribed. Stupid son of a jackass ....

Well, after another nine months, I was 427 pounds. I didn't know how to do much of anything for myself. I couldn't get my great big gut in my pants and nothing fit right. I went back to the doc, humbled and much embarrassed, and went on a special diet that was ultra low calorie. Not only that, but a hospice nurse came to help me get used to life as a porker. And guess who it was? The fat chick I'd been makin' fun of when I'd swan-dived in front of that bus. Man, talk about just desserts! I had it coming, for sure, because I was fatter than she was. I waited for her to lay into me, but she didn't. She helped me find clothes to fit, helped me with my hygene and helped me with getting used to my size.

Over the months, I continued to gain weight, but not nearly as fast as I had before, thanks to Jesse. She made my meals for me and once I'd finished the portion, I stopped. Occasionally, I cheated, and that's when I picked up pounds. I've learned a lot from her and learned a lot about her. I was a real jerk. I didn't know ... I didn't know that she'd lost both her husband and her daughter tragically. She's a real saint, to be so kind to me after all I'd done to her. Funny thing is, on something she called Sadie Hawkins Day, February 29th, she asked me to marry her. Me? Marry her? I wasn't sure. I was afraid. I'd already ballooned up another ninety pounds, pushing 520 and I was only gonna get fatter. Jesse assured me that she didn't mind. Strengthened by her courage and sweetness, I agreed. This was a time where I was going from extreme self-consciousness to accepting of my weight, so there's not much in the way of photos I let myself be in.

Jess and I got married and got to work on a family right away, before I got too big to be of any use in that department.  In four years, God blessed us with five wonderful tykes, Calypso, Selene, Ashton, Chet and Jessica. My weight is up to 650 and I've got an implant in my brain and stomach that tells me, artificially, when I'm full. I'm not going to get skinny again. I don't think I could if I wanted to anyhow. Being like this has made me a far better man than I'd ever been. I'm happy being big fat Dad rather than being Chad the Cad.

Skin was still bruised; his head still fucking hurt—gauze taped to his nose to keep the broken cartilage in place. Still, the boy was scrappy, and the fight was the talk of the town lately, and though he was down one hand, he still managed to kickass with one—even if it did hurt like a bitch. The pain pulsed gently in his body; not painful but a reminder that if he did anything too strenuous, then it would hurt.

Vance was sitting on the steps of his sister’s trailer, lips pulled into a line, frustrated with his current situation. If he saw that guy again, he was determined to kick his ass and win this time.
