My Random Twisted Wonderland Headcanons

Riddle: Doesn’t only love strawberries because of the taste, but also because they’re sorta shaped like little red hearts and it reminds him of love. The love his parents never gave him, but he dreams of all the time, the love of his close friends, and romantic love. He’s secretly a hopeless romantic.

Trey: The reason he has glasses is because he used to stare into the light thing they have above you on the dentist chair on purpose.

Cater: Was into animation memes and musicals at one point. Still watches them from time to time, especially if ones trending.

Ace: Loves car racing games, whether it be a random free mobile game, arcade game, even on roblox. Used to want to be a race car driver when grew up.

Deuce: Would eat autozone seafood boil, then get collared by Riddle for one, being stupid enough to consume food from autozone of all places, and two, stinking up the entire dorm for 3 hours straight.

Leona: Likes being scratched behind the ears when he’s feeling sad or sleepy, only Ruggie knows about this though as one time he did it just to tease him when they were younger, and REFUSES to let Leona live it down. Leona lets Ruggie scratch his ears in exchange for never telling another soul about it.

Ruggie: Once stole and drank an entire can of whip cream in one sitting and got really sick to the point he was throwing up for days. He vows to do it again someday.

Jack: Secretly loves plushies and would openly collect them if wasn’t so invested in being a “tough guy”. He has a few as gifts from his family members and he cherishes them, he even sleeps with them sometimes.

Azul: Had a itty bitty crush on Ariel when he was little, he used to read picture books of the benevolent Sea Witch just to look at the illustrations of Ariel.

Jade: Likes to debone animals for fun, whether it’s a land animal, sea animal, big, or small, he’s gonna catch it and he WILL debone it. He’s slightly ashamed of this hobby however.

Floyd: Slightly jealous of Jade because he’s seen as the “sane” twin, and even though most people avoid both of them like the plague, he can tell they feel more at ease with Jade and it makes him sad. He tries to control himself and act “normal” every once in a while, but he can’t help but to be a weirdo, he doesn’t know how to mask himself like his twin does.

Kalim: Had a pet viper that he found in his back yard one day and decided to keep because it reminded him of Jamil. He would even dress it up to look like Jamil and everything and swore it could talk, claiming it sounded just like Jamil. The snake ran away btw.

Jamil: Hates most cartoons because Kalim used to and still does force him to binge watch them with him. When they were little, Kalim used to cry if he didn’t, so now he has slight ptsd.

Vil: Accidentally gave himself a weak stomach due to his strict diet of only healthy stuff, and can barely eat a ice cream cone or a cheeseburger without getting bad stomach aches.

Rook: Was one of those people that had two costumes for halloween so they could go around the neighborhood twice and get more candy. He went as Neige first then Vil every year till he got enrolled in Night Raven.

Epel: Collects horse figures, not mlp just regular horses, He keeps them in a box where no one can find them because they’re “unmanly”. He doesn’t really play with the horses, but he does have names and personalities for them.

Idia: Likes magical girl animes, but too afraid to admit it to anyone, even online. He knows that if he does he’ll get called a gooner, he kinda is and he doesn’t need even more people thinking that about him as half of NRC already does. He genuinely likes those animes and loves all the cool weapons and transformation scenes, though he finds them a little repetitive.

Ortho: Is really into pokémon because he wanted to watch anime just like his big brother as something to bond over. Occasionally he’ll beg Idia to somehow install pokémon go into his programming, Idia always says no.

Malleus: Likes having his horns petted and wishes he could have them pet more often. The only people who would were his mother, grandmother, Silver when he was little, and Lilia. Lilia is the only one who still pets him from time to time, mostly when he’s had a bad day or falling asleep.

Lilia: Really into those mlg memes, the doritos and mountain dew shit, and will randomly yell “OOH BABY A TRIPLE” or “MOM GET THE CAMERA” to spook people. He thinks it’s hilarious.

Silver: A really good singer, but only Lilia, Malleus, and Sebek know because they caught him a few times on accident. Silver is incredibly embarrassed of it and made them swear to never tell anyone else.

Sebek: Has a secret passion for art, he’s not very good at it and most of his drawings look pretty goofy as if a first grader drew them, but he’s proud of them, Despite that, he never let anyone go near his sketchbook, especially his liege, claiming it’s just a book about how great Malleus is.

Rather than myself, I sit upon a pile of trans girl characters in my series Behind the Veil! Ariel Hope was the first one I thought of, with her unique backstory and overwhelming power. It just so happens that I needed to do covers for my stories, so I compiled the work for this with my new cover...

I think I like how this turned out better. XD

I wouldn't put it beside me to not do another one later... I got way more from where this came from! Melody Valain, Andrea Madison, Kaylee Night, Molly Peterson, and SO many more! (Of course, those characters may not get to this level of detail; I imagine "The Angelic Genie" to be a "rare" card.)

Idk if you still think about Wish (2023) but I feel like a huge problem with it, specifically Asha's character, was that she just fit the "adorkable" stereotype instead of being her own character.

It made sense with Rapunzel - she's never been outside before, so of course she will be a socially awkward clutz. The same goes for Anna, but this character archetype started going downhill for Disney in Moana. It might seem like it fits since she's never been off of Motunui before but it's not like she's never talked to anyone.

The "adorkable" trend became its worst with Asha. What do you mean she's socially awkward and clumsy but still has the trust of the ENTIRE KINGDOM and wants to be the King's apprentice??? How???

I feel like if they made her personality a little more like Cinderella's and Tiana's she might have been more likable and believable - being a stern, gentle, and hardworking woman who takes no crap but is still kind and caring deep down. This could contrast her with the naïve, cheerful, and bubbly Starboy (I always mourn the storyboard drawings of them together) and even make a comparison between her and King Magnifico, maybe even becoming a central conflict with how Magnifico's ambition for power turns him evil because of his lack of morals, and without Starboy Asha would've gone down the same path if it weren't for him reminding her about what really matters - being purely good and not letting anything stray you away from being a good person.

Sorry for the ramble but I just have SO many thoughts about how Wish could've turned out 😭

I don’t find Moana “adorkable.” If “adorkable” means “socially awkward” or “spazzy with her emotions,” (like Rapunzel going “I KNOW! -playing it cool- I mean…I know.” Or Anna going “It’s TRUE LOVE”) then that’s…kind of just “being young.” And I’m sure, with Rapunzel and Anna, being lonely for a long time contributed to that My-Emotions-Splash-Everywhere-Every-Time-I-Get-the-Chance thing their personalities have.

But Moana doesn’t have that. If you mean she cracks jokes, like rambling to Pua about not eating pork, or singing at Maui, those aren’t “adorkable” traits. They’re just a teenage girl’s sense of humor. Teenage girls mock their friends’ little phrases all the time. Teenage girls shriek at the top of their lungs when they’re excited. Teenage girls ramble when they’re nervous. That’s just one shade of normal teenage girl behavior. If you’re tired of seeing it, maybe you’re tired of teenagers.

And she has her own personality besides all that. Moana is intensely stubborn in a way that can be insensitive or bullheaded. She is prideful—she thinks she’s special because the Ocean choosing her validated those feelings. She also has what Asha does not—believable motivation for most of her decisions.

I mean, what do you want instead? Is it time to admit the “adorkable” thing started with Ariel and Mulan? Did you want a mature-adult-type teenager, who have “maturity,” or “patience” as character traits, like Belle or Cinderella? Or were you hoping for a Jasmine type—immaturity in the form of sharp tongue and temper? “They tried doing the whole “no jokes, this is a serious adventurer” thing with Raya, and it sucked.

What I’m saying is, giving a girl a rambling mouth—especially when she’s on a solo-adventure for a significant portion of her movie—isn’t a cardinal sin. Neither is giving her moments of dorky clumsiness (especially in Moana’s case, it’s humanizing when she runs into something or gets something wrong, because she’s otherwise phsyically pretty capable.)

As far as Asha goes, I definitely still think about Wish, and I actually agree with what I think is your main sentiment—she doesn’t have any personality so they just slap “sometimes clumsy sometimes unflatteringly goofy” onto what’s an empty husk.

The thing is, her main motivation isn’t relatable. It’s not very human. She spends three seconds in the presence of the leader of her whole known world, worldview, and culture, and instantly knows exactly what’s wrong with that worldview, world, and culture. No confusion, no hesitation, perfect right answer instantly. She wants her grandfather to have his wish—but he was fine without it, and nobody ever clearly defines what a wish even is in this movie in a way that’s relatable, so we can’t relate.

It would be like if you took Mulan’s desire to save her father from physical injury, mixed with a desire to prove herself—and then you replaced that with “Mulan desires to speak with the tongues of dragons.” Mmmkay that sounds neat but what the heck does it mean and why should I care, or remember it when I leave this theater?

Everyone who defends this movie likes to say, “Asha’s selfless, she just cares too much about everyone else’s wishes, she wants them all to be happy!” But you know what, that’s not relatable. Because it’s flawless.

Belle is selfless. Belle gives up all her dreams and goes into her worst nightmare—living with a selfish, conceited monster—to fave her father.

But did you catch that? She has dreams. She doesn’t know exactly what she wants, but she wants to have a big, important life. That;s not necessarily selfless, and it’s part of her personality. Guess what else? Her worst nightmare is living with a selfish, conceited monster. So she actually has something to develop.—being able to be kind and loving, anyway, and give conceited monsters a chance.

Asha has nothing like that. From the first moment conflict is introduced, she knows what the right thing to do is. She has no self-focused desires, allegedly. She’s just a told virtue with no showing, no real person inside.

I mean jeez, even Aurora, whose whole character is supposed to BE a “Symbol of Virtue, Personified” still lays her head down and cries when she can’t have the man she loves. Even Cinderella gets annoyed with Lucifer.

And what’s the deal with that recently? Where’d all the annoyance go? Why is it Moana doesn’t get into any serious, believable arguments with anyone on her crew in Moana 2? Loto starts chopping up the BOAT THEIR LIVES DEPEND ON and Moana’s just like, “heyyy budddyyy could you maybe nooot?” All passive-aggressive and smiley, she’s not even a little irritated. Neither is Loto. And no matter how grumpy the old man is, nobody is ever fed up with him. What’s the deal with that?

Why is it Asha is never fed up with or loses her temper at Valentino? Nobody hurts each other’s feelings in these movies anymore. (Sabino yelling at Asha doesn’t count because it came out of nowhere and again, the THING he’s yelling about isn’t believable, it’s nonsensical.) Why doesn’t she talk back or argue with Sabino at the table like Mulan does? Why is she fine to argue with Magnifico, though, the villain? What happened to all that self-righteousness? Oh, we can’t use it. Not when it’s a character that is a good guy. Because our good guys can never do anything slightly unlikable to fellow good guys.

What’s the deal with that in these movies nowadays? The relationships have no flaws or teeth. What’s with that? Am I the only one noticing that?

BSD MEN x DISNEY PRINCESSES

I'm not sure how many people were aware of it, but there was a trend on TikTok (I believe it was last year) where someone paired JJK characters with Disney princesses.

It got me thinking about pairing Disney princesses with BSD characters because…why not?

Fyodor Dostoevsky

Possible pairings: Aurora, Cinderella (live action), Belle.

Aurora (Sleeping Beauty 1959): She is introverted, dreamy, elegant, and beautiful. She embodies traditional femininity and dreams of true love. There's a serene and peaceful spirit within her that Fyodor would greatly appreciate.

Cinderella (live action, 2015): She is very polite, values kindness above all else, and sees the good in everyone. Her ability to forgive almost makes her appear ethereal and otherworldly. She is graceful, beautiful, intellectually stimulating, and well-educated.

Belle (Beauty and the Beast 1991): She is the most beautiful girl in her town, yet possesses an intellectual and romantic mind. Though fairly introverted, she can be outgoing in certain circumstances. Fyodor would find much common ground with her, bonding over their love for reading and discussing various topics.

SEUNGCHEOL : Nightlen. Pettiest boy at times. Jealous for little to no reason. Sulked all the time - especially when I ‘ghosted’ him but I just got grounded but it was super easy to get out of being trouble with him. Really hot and buff, a rugby player. Raised by a single mother. He asked if I loved him when we first talked - due to another boy on this list. We talked for ages over Snapchat after he accidentally introduced us BUT I was also upset over Ariel. 

JEONGHAN : Eaton. Twin I talked to first. A little shit, honestly. Just always teasing me and on my ass about things. There was a girl that was into him at the same time and I stepped back and went to the other twin. Kind of nonchalant but a big smiler. 

JOSHUA : Christmas. Born Christmas day and I actually called him this. The most random wildcard of the whole deck. Really sweet but also just had the surprise factor of doing or saying random things but still remaining really respectful. Would tease me for the most random shit but it was so fun. 

WOOZI : Haybail. Never talked to the guy in all honesty but we were in the same volleyball tournament. Minded his business but we always used to get paired together in those ‘you suit….’ trends that were going on at the time. I found myself attracted to him as the week went on. Kind of quiet but also had the cutest little outbursts of energy. 

JUN : Kelston. Now, this boy was weird. He was really into me…at least I think. If he wasn’t it’d be really weird. But we met up and like I paid for his peanuts that he wanted but didn’t share (didn’t want any anyway) but literally out of everything that’s what you’re going for. Had my cousin tail us when I was hanging out with him but straight panicked when she said she was going home. He asked for a hug and I gave him one and he INHALED my scent from my neck. LIKE NOSE TO SKIN INHALED. 

WONWOO : Inferno. The other twin. We got along so well. We used to wrestle (don’t ask) but like I used to get teased years after we had our little….whatever it was. But I remember hitting him in the balls and people said that he would’ve liked that. But like people used to ship us together and ask if we had a thing. I was into him more than Eaton. 

HOSHI : Jared. The thing is I can’t actually remember this guy’s name. I can’t remember if it started with a ‘J’ but I’m pretty sure. But this dude was near obsessive and thought we were on our way to dating (saw way too much in a relationship that wasn’t there) and when I told him ‘we’re just having fun don’t you think?’ he got really like…eek about it and I apologised because obviously I felt bad. 

MINGHAO : Ariel. My favourite hoe bag I’ve ever talked to. He’s the person I lost my virginity to but he was someone that was really honest and sincere with his compliments. Like a super genuine person. But he got a bit toxic at one point when he got a girlfriend (I was grounded) and said he was going to cheat on his girlfriend with me. But I think he was really hurt by her cheating. 

DK : Pisces. The nicest guy on this list and possibly the nicest person ever. I don’t know why I’m adding him to this but I feel like we could’ve been something but it just never worked out between us as we got older and started to commit to things. I appreciated him as a friend and also the ‘something more’ thing we had going on. We don’t talk anymore unfortunately. 

MINGYU : Luca. The reason I am so into the best friend’s brother trope. He was one of my best friend’s twin brothers and I told her that I found her brother attractive. She told him and he told her that he would treat me to pizza, flowers and everything I wanted. I genuinely liked him but I never saw him if I wasn’t on the phone with his sister. 

SEUNGKWAN : Legs. When I tell you I’ve never seen a guy so into legs. He used to comment on my legs all the time. Like - worshippy esque type of comments. ‘They’re the type I want to wrap around my waist’. And I’m sorry but Seungkwan’s anti-swelling method lives on in this comparison. 

VERNON : Blue. Hottest guy ever. Has the hottest name ever as well - like I’m actually so upset I’m changing it in this post. He was such a dry texter and a dry person in general so it was really hard to distinguish what he was feeling. He also gave me mixed signals a lot. But I was the only girl he was talking to. Met over the phone and then we saw each other on the train once and we just stared at each other the whole time. Like very ‘I know what you know’ type of staring between us that his friends and my cousins were witness to. 

DINO : Needle. I actually call him this. He talked a big game - was a little annoying but also quite mature and just chill with who he was as a person. Used to call me Stephen Durry (the asshole). I could probably rope him into doing whatever I wanted at the time. How I met Nightlen and when Nightlen and I became a thing - Needle and I were platonic. But he always made Nightlen jealous.

The One That Got Away - Frage an alle!

Nach dem Post von @reversereaction bin ich recht nostalgisch geworden und habe ein bisschen an die alten Zeiten auf FF.de gedacht... Da ist mir gleich eine Frage für alle eingefallen.

Welche Storys, die euch besonders am Herzen lagen, gibt es (inzwischen) nicht mehr? Was hat euch daran so begeistert?

Ich mache gerne den Anfang, mir sind nämlich gleich drei eingefallen.

sweet revenge. - LeniSalvatore (?)

Was soll ich sagen, ich hatte und habe eine Schwäche für Heartbreaker-Storys, auch wenn sie meines Wissens nicht mehr im Trend sind. Ist ja auch reichlich cheesy! Aber sweet revenge war die erste Story, bei der ich angenommen wurde, bei der ich wirklich Feuer und Flamme war. Meine Güte, was muss ich die arme LeniSalvatore (wenn ich den Namen so noch richtig in Erinnerung habe) mit meinen Update-Nachfragen genervt haben, aber ich war locked in. Naja. Irgendwo müsste ich noch einen Download haben, bei dem etwa fünf Kapitel existiert haben, aber viel weiter lief die Story nie. Schade.

Was mich allerdings auch langwierig geprägt hat, ist der Blog: Den gab es zu sweet revenge nämlich. War wahrscheinlich nicht so schwer, den mit GIFs zu füllen, da die Hälfte des Casts aus Vampire Diaries war, aber so waren die Dinge damals nun mal. Heute würde ich ehrlich sagen, dass Website-Blogs die ganze Arbeit, die man reinsteckt, nicht wert sind - aber meine Liebe haben sie trotzdem.

Phönixblut ist so ein kleines Rätsel für mich. Ich erinnere mich nicht mehr an die genauen Details, aber es war eine wirklich düstere Hogwarts-Story mit Mystery/Crime Elementen, die dann von einem Tag auf den anderen mitsamt Autor/-in verschwunden ist. Das kam wirklich irgendwie aus dem Nichts, mehrere Kapitel waren gepostet und die OCs ausgewählt. Ich war wirklich investiert in Storyline und Schreibstil, weshalb ich mich immer noch frage, warum das Ganze so abrupt verschwunden ist - dass eine Story nach ein paar Kapiteln abgebrochen wird und man nie wieder vom Erstellenden hört ist ja gefühlt par for the course im MMFF Fandom, aber das komplette Ausradieren kam mir damals wie heute sehr merkwürdig vor.

birds ist tatsächlich die einzige der drei Geschichten, die theoretisch noch existiert - und die einzige, bei der ich nicht dabei war. Nicht, dass ich das nicht angestrebt hatte! Im Gegenteil, für birds hatte ich am längsten Steckbrief meiner gesamten FF-Karriere geschrieben und war reichlich stolz auf meinen 3000 Wörter Charaktertext und meine Kalkulationen, damit das (echte) herausgesuchte Apartment mit der realistischen finanziellen Situation des OC vereinbar war... Bis dann mein heißgeliebtes Sony Xperia Z sein tragisches Ende auf unserem Badezimmer-Fliesenboden gefunden hat. Da ich damals natürlich noch nicht auf Google Docs unterwegs war, bleibt der Steckbrief für immer im Limbo verloren... Obwohl ich mit leichtem Herzen sagen kann, dass ich aus verschiedenen Gründen sowieso nie den Platz bekommen hätte.

Im Endeffekt habe ich die Story auch nie gelesen - shame on me - aber irgendwie hat sie es geschafft, nie aus meinem reichlich löchrigen Hirn zu verschwinden. Irgendwie symbolisiert birds für mich der Beginn einer neuen Ära - für immer der Auslöser für meinen ersten richtig großen, ausführlichen Steckbrief.

Teilt gerne, was eure Lieblingsstorys waren! Der Erinnerungstrip hat mir viel Freude gemacht und es ist wirklich schön, sowohl viele Usernamen von früher wiederzuerkennen als auch (für mich) neue Usernamen kennenzulernen.
