yes I do. I love physics. I love it bc I was raised by a brainiac engineer mother who taught me to see math as fun from a very young age. and sometimes it pisses me off bc I don’t understand concepts immediately and my ego is HURT but then I humble myself and learn it and I’m back to adoring it again

#I did an independent study in a biophysics lab for a semester which was cool #I do orgo research now but I think so much of being a good researcher is integrating methods from different disciplines #and this will probably apply for when I’m a doctor too #I was never an ‘ewww I hate MATH’ person like I literally took advanced physics & calculus classes willingly bc it was so fun #which is why I was so mad when the whole girl math trend happened. what is girl math. what do you mean #I just despise the trend of girls being corralled into less math based fields bc of this. I am never buying into that narrative ever #ask

i am finally ALMOST in the last week of my semester, so i can finally get back to all my hobbies that require brainpower in 7-8 business days..... well in that + some recovery time

i have unresponded-to messages and memes and tagged things that i genuinely cannot wait to get back to, but they're all probably going to wait until after i've hit "submit" on my last final bc boy has this past academic year been a rough one

#have not had a substantial break since last may and i tell you hwat it has done me no favors #i mean i've learned calculus and advanced statistics in 12 months but emotionally i am in shambles #academically i have 3 more enormous assignments and finals to turn in #one of which is only available during a 24 hour period during the one day a week i have off with my spouse #so even any celebrations of being at the end has to wait til afterwards for me and i'm dying but also relieved #the last time i had a 24 hour-access final i nearly passed on so wish me luck i'll see you all on the other side with more memes and fun #(in case anyone is wondering in what world a final is open book and available for 24 hours and still hard)#(i present to you: grad school for a subspecialty of applied statistics and making full multi-page document reports)#(can't remember the last time i had a homework or a final that was shorter tan 10 pages altho to be fair code just runs long)

So I’m thinking about going to vet school BUT having done a social sciences degree ABROAD… I have none of the prereqs. So now I’m essentially staring myself hard in the mirror white knuckles tears and snot down my face asking myself if it’s worth it to do ~40 more hours of *undergraduate* classes despite have a partial PhD in linguistics….. worth it to take out another loan…. To be the “old” person in class ………. :|

Mother dearest is coming down this weekend to pick up as many of my things as possible! Unfortunately as I still have a week before I can go home, that means. All of my decorations are getting packed up on Friday

I should probs take a picture of the living room, it was. So freakin cute I’m gonna miss it

#gotta wait till night time to take the picture so the fairy lights can have their moment tho #it’s like. roommate issues aside this year was actually p chill?#like once I kicked the depression (started sometime last year and I think almost fully killed by now) classes got super interesting #and I started doing Really Well in them again (except calculus. we don’t talk about calculus. but I’m still passing. somehow.)#and I actually started making friends? which hasn’t happened in so long #plus having a room I had almost full control over decoration-wise helped I think?#like. half of the setup is designed to give Me Specifically as much serotonin as possible #and I’m def not getting as much space to do that with next year #hell I’ll be lucky if disability services gets their act together and gives me my rivet bath and ac accommodations #and I applied to be in a single (I’m so SO sick of roommate issues) and those are always. so small #so like idk I feel like I should be documenting the dorm rn #she took a lot of effort and I’m not gonna get this type of thing again till I graduate and move out #which is a. weird thought to have #anyways.
