This short two-frame animatic is something I experimented with to give a very dramatic feel for the scene where Chancellor Cohen is explaining to Cain exactly how dire the situation with their Nuclear Power generator really is, using the soundtrack from the tv series Silo from AppleTV+, a show I’ve drawn a lot of inspiration for my own comic series from.

i started to watch FOUNDATION.

First of all, it’s not the kind of stuff i normally watch, i did it just because of Lee shame on me. I saw the first 3 episodes and now i need to talk about that one scene…

where Brother Day yells at this random guy and he literally dies on the spot…i mean i don’t really know if he’s dead but he definitely passed out and i can relate!!!

or the bedroom scene, where he tells the whore to touch him. damn!

And the plot, well…it reminds me a tiny bit of Star Wars because of the “empire” and the “resistance”. The whole clone thing is actually very interesting and touching but i hate too many time jumps, it’s confusing and exhausting. I don’t wanna use my brain ALL THE TIME.

But i keep watching. (for Lee)

Apple’s sci-fi dystopian drama layers an intriguing series of mysteries about what lies beyond humanity’s last living underground colony of survivors after an unknown disaster wipes out the rest of society over a century earlier. Rebecca Ferguson stars as an engineer turned sheriff tasked with uncovering the secrets of the eponymous silo and the supposed toxic and uninhabitable world  outside. It’s a slow burn series where it’s not even immediately clear who the protagonist is until a couple episodes in. However, Yost pays off our interest with a focus on the humanity of the characters.
